Sports prototype racer built by Porsche from 1968 to 1971 to compete in the FIA's 3.0-litre prototype class. Roughly 31 cars were produced across the 908 (Coupé/LH), 908/02 Spyder, and 908/03 variants, scoring victories at Le Mans, the Targa Florio, and the Nürburgring. Privateers raced them into the early 1980s with various engine retrofits.
