Rose BB08: Gina, Rose BB08: Okay. Nice number of lanes.
Rose BB08: Oh, it was, very Rose BB08: What would you rather be on a highway or a freeway?
Rose BB08: when, when I would drive 40 a lot, I would get off and drive 66 because 66 was like a frontage road to Highway 40. Mm-hmm. So you could drive right along it, but yeah, you do. You have to go a little bit slower. Yeah. But I do love a good frontage road. Some places, like sometimes in California then the frontage road splits off and takes you way off.
Rose BB08: because you're on the old Emily BB08: Snap. Yeah.
And he's like, again, tonight we're, discussing this, but next week we'll be discussing cats. So if you wanna call in, you need to call in about cats. And then it was, you know, constantly, like every episode David Cross is losing more hair, like he's pulling his hair out, trying to explain that you should be calling in about next week's topic on today's show.
I was like, I'm not Googling it. I will get it. And so, uh, this has been like two months ago and the other day I was like, John Williams. And he was like, what? And I was like, when you were playing the Jurassic Park music? And I couldn't think of the composer. I was like, it's John Williams. I, and I think it's because I was listening to another podcast about movies or something, and they mentioned his name.
Rose BB08: You know, so they called him and he, yeah, he had the answer. And what, and I, I think we miss out on good stuff like that. Yeah. Like we. You know, like passing down information generation to generation used to be an important thing. You know, people are just like, no, it's cool.
Emily BB08: We don't.
Rose BB08: where John Goodman does the voice of Ed Roth telling the Ed Roth's story. So in a way I like, I take it a little bit as Ed's personal gospel and in that he does describe it that way, that like people.
Rose BB08: when I worked with Jean, I like gave up on spelling. I was like, you know what? This guy like hasn't been to school in like 70 years. It doesn't matter what the fuck he puts down. Like, like if it makes sense, it makes sense.
Rose BB08: really common. I think now there's a lot of rules about clip cars because of bad things that happen. But he had a bunch of titles and that's where I first learned about like the Tudor and the Four-Door.
So yeah, it sounds like a little, a little pointed. A pointed remark, a, personalized action. So in a sense, no, I couldn't find any articles that really supported that. But again, it's in Ed Ed's movie. Not that Ed was alive for it, but at the same time, like I kind of just take it as his word. And that's how I've always believed the story to be.
Emily BB08: what's it called? Tales of
Rose BB08: Okay. Well, I think I'm gonna, I want to go with another hot rod one, and it's another Model T, I want you to tell me the name of a famous model t that Gene Winfield won the America's Most Beautiful Roadster Award with.
Rose BB08: Whoa. What's the beginning of white wall tires?
Emily BB08: Maybe it will stop because I, first of all, the first one was neither of them were my fault. One was a horrible pothole. You agreed. Rose that it was really bad. And then the second one was, my fucking spare went flat. So yeah, been getting my car towed to the tire place tomorrow.
