Hey everyone, welcome to the Eevee show by Ludacris Feed Live.
Today is the last show of the year, believe it or not.
It's been a huge year, 2025.
Can you believe it, 29th of December 2025.
Here we are.
It's going to be a big one as well, this show, lots to talk about.
And yeah, before we get there, let's say hello to our co-host for this evening.
Hello, Tom, Nihao everyone, we're here, final show, 2025, we're in right.
So yeah, should be a good one.
I think the breakdown is pretty good of what we're going to talk about.
What's happened this year and what's coming up ahead and would love to hear from anyone
in the chat and on comments once it goes live as well on what's happening and what
are you excited about for next year.
I'm really sorry, I can't hear anything.
So I really don't know if you said something, but I think there's something wrong with my
mic.
Say something again, my headphones.
Hey Tom.
Hey Tom.
Oh, I can hear you now.
Sorry, it's my end.
Okay.
Okay.
Let me try that one more time.
I'm sure you said something very good, so I apologize if I didn't hear you.
That's okay.
It's okay.
Fun.
Fun.
Fun.
Fun.
Okay.
Can you hear me now?
I'll just leave it on my...
Can you hear me now?
I can.
I'll leave it on my computer speakers because the gremlins are in the speakers on my headphones.
But yeah, good to see you, Riz.
Thanks for joining us for the last show of the year.
And let's say hello to our regular guest, we should probably call him our co-host
from now on.
He's been on pretty much every week this year.
So let's say hello to Roland from Zapt YouTube channel.
Hey Roland, how are you?
Hey Tom.
Hey Riz.
Good evening all.
Last show for the year.
It's crazy.
I might just take my headphones off because they're not doing much at the moment.
If you're hearing double of me, let me know because I can't hear you through the headphones,
but I can definitely hear you through the speakers.
Yeah, nice to have you, Roland.
Thanks for joining us this year, by the way.
It's been good to have you this year.
It's been great to be on.
Excellent.
There is a bit of echo, by the way.
Is there?
Okay.
Let me see what I can do.
Let me see.
You guys keep going and I'll work something out.
It was working five minutes ago.
Cool.
So Roland, you've been driving anything interesting over the Christmas break?
I'm going to log out and log back in.
Unfortunately, nothing too interesting of late.
I've been taking it easy.
I've really been enjoying Christmas and eating, to be honest.
My last car was the Ionic 9.
Did you drive that?
Have you driven that?
No, I haven't.
I haven't had the pleasure of driving that particular car.
It's probably out of my price range, Roland.
I think price is a bit above the spectre.
It's good to see some 7-seaters coming into the market.
We've had the EV9, we've had the Volvo EX9T, and then the Ionic 9.
Tom's back.
Hey, Tom.
Hey, I can hear you guys.
Awesome.
Good.
Sorry about that.
Apologies.
There we go.
Nope, that's not it.
That's an old slide.
Whoa.
What's happening?
Monday nights.
It's all over the place.
I'm sorry.
There we go.
Sorry.
Yes, you guys are talking about 7-seaters.
Please, keep going.
We're just talking about the Ionic 9 was the last car that I drove,
and Riz was saying, great to see some new 7-seaters come onto the market.
Yes.
Absolutely.
No, that's right.
It's done to flush out these segments, not just the midsize SUVs.
Small SUVs, big SUVs.
You might have just seen that slide of mine.
I just wanted to quickly say this is the donation we've given on behalf of the
channel for this year.
So thank you to everyone who's given us Super Chat or just bought subscriptions
for everyone else, memberships I should say for the channel.
Just thank you for your viewership for the year, basically.
So on behalf of Riz, Roland and myself, enjoy.
This is our donation to CBM who do good work overseas supporting.
Not so advantaged people as us here in Australia.
So there you go.
Thank you.
This is for all of you guys on the channel.
Let's say hello to some of our regulars who've joined, actually.
So hello, Lightning Aussie.
Thank you for joining us this evening.
Thank you, DWA.
Thank you, Xander.
Yes, it's been cool of this week in Sydney, which I'm not too upset about.
I must say.
Thank you, JJJ Nettie.
Hello.
And thank you also to Hal for joining us.
Yes, it was a nice blue sky today.
Hello, MG Brill.
Midge Brill, I should say.
A bit of chatter about Ato3 being a bit bouncy.
Interesting.
I can see there.
Hello, Evie Az.
Yes, it's been a big year for sure.
I'm just talking to Roland off there that I did an audit for the channel this year.
Joy and I of the cars that we drove.
We're not counting the cars that we looked at at shows and expos and stuff.
Just the cars we drove and reviewed for the channel.
44 vehicles overall.
39 of them were battery electric vehicles and 5 were plug-in hybrid.
So it's been a huge year, guys.
I'm sure you have similar stats as well for your content and the stuff you guys do.
So yeah, let's keep it going for 2026, eh?
And thank you to Gene.
Thanks for joining us.
Hello, Steve.
And hello, Gary.
Hello.
Thanks for all you guys for joining us.
So early hello for the burbs as well.
Hello.
Nice to see you.
And John says we need more sedans and hatches.
Yes, agreed.
And wagons too, gents.
I'm sure we need more wagons, right?
Yes.
Hello, Wayne from Toowoomba.
Nice to see you there.
And just for the last time, for 2025, I just wanted to thank our sponsors.
Once I get this on the screen, there we go.
Thank you to Han Cook, tyres, driving emotion.
Thank you for sponsoring us this year in 2025.
Thank you to PowerShop as well.
If you're looking for EV Day or EV Night Plans, I've got some good deals at the moment.
There's some credit, I think $150 joining credit.
Ruiz, you might be able to correct me if I'm wrong for the PowerShop.
Yeah, I think it's about $175 credit offered for people that obviously sign up to PowerShop.
Yeah.
So check out the terms and conditions in the video description for new customers.
And thank you, of course, to Ruiz from CarLube.
For always empowering Australia's EV Revolution with your awesome data.
Thank you.
Right.
So, well, look guys, I think we might just have a really chilled episode today.
I just wanted to basically just recap what's been a massive year in 2025 and ask you guys,
Ruiz and Roland, what has been your highlights for the year?
Not just cars, but events or launches or trips, what you've seen overseas.
And also to the audience as well, what's been a few highlights of yours from what you've seen online
from our content or what Riz has written in the driven from 2025.
Let us know.
Yeah, keep those comments coming.
I'll start with you, Ruiz.
Give us your top five, I guess, from the year.
Yeah, so I guess we've had quite a few new electric cars come into our market,
which has been really, really good at price points that we didn't think we were going to get them.
So a couple of things that I've sort of picked up.
I've been to China five times, Tom, you've been there a couple of times this year as well.
Five times, I wouldn't, you know, two years ago, I would have never thought I would have left Victoria to do much outside of there.
And it's been exciting because every time you go back, there's just so much more to see.
Sometimes we travel with brands, which is really exciting.
And you get to go and see some of their R&D centers and the rest.
But then at the same time, after hours, you want to hit up the local showrooms to check out,
you know, what some of the other brands are doing, because there's just so much activity.
That's been a bit of an eye-opener, not only from how quickly cars are coming out over there,
but all the tech that's going on inside, the charging infrastructure there is crazy.
All the things that, you know, you've covered on your channel and, you know,
Roland, you've touched on as well some of the things that you've shared previously as well.
It's all going to be coming to us.
So I think that's been a top pick.
So everything that we're seeing, a lot of the innovation is definitely coming from there.
Second one is maybe the redemption of some European car makers.
BMW with their IX3, that might be something for next year, but they've announced it.
They've showcased it.
And it is sort of the next generation of European EVs that are coming out.
So that's going to be good for our market as well.
Charging infrastructure has been, you know, the increase has been reasonable.
I wouldn't say it's been sort of, you know, it's been hitting huge goals given the number of EVs on our roads.
We're going to get close to 100,000 new battery electric cars in the last 12 months since last Christmas.
And the charging infrastructure is fast charges sort of keeping up,
but there's a lot of areas that need improvement.
So it's good to see we're approaching 1500 fast charging sites across the country, which is good.
There's obviously challenges like we've recently covered the vandalism that's been going on at those charges as well,
that hopefully improves in 2026.
In terms of new brands, there've been so many, you know, it's hard to keep track of what's going on.
We really saw Zeekr, X-Pang leave motor to a certain degree,
D-Pel a bit lesser of a degree and a few others sort of join the sales charts,
GAC close to the end of 2025.
That's all very exciting as well.
I guess time will tell how many will do quite well.
A highlight out of all of that is sort of the resurgence of Zeekr thanks to the 7X,
which has been an awesome car by all accounts by anyone that's driven it or tested it or owns one or is waiting for one.
Over 3,000 pre-orders on the last time we sort of checked with Zeekr.
I'm sure there's a lot more now.
And I guess finally the highlight has been being on this show,
being on this show with yourself, Tom and Roland and Joy when she joins us as well.
It's an all of our audience getting a chance to learn from each other
and thanks for coming seeing myself, Tom and Roland at any of the live shows that we're at
and saying hi and being so positive with all the comments and everything that you say
and just keep encouraging us to do the work that we do.
And everyone of you, thank you for all of that as well.
So yeah, that's me.
Very well said Riz.
Great summary of a very, very big year.
I think it's not till you sit back and look back at the stuff you've done,
whether you've written stuff Riz or content that Roland and I have produced.
It's just been a phenomenal year and how much has come out.
And Riz, what we'll summarize and I think you've done a great job covering it all in the driven as well.
So thanks for that.
Thanks for all your help this year.
Roland, first of all congratulations on the growth of your channel this year.
It's been phenomenal.
Great to see you getting there and getting into some press cards as well.
So congratulations first up.
Well done.
Thank you.
Yeah, it's grown a lot.
Looking back at numbers, I think we were 900 something on one of the live chats
on one of the live streams last year in November,
we got over the 1000 mark thanks to this audience here,
this group of fantastic people.
And I think recently over the past two to three months,
it's exploded to nearly six and a half thousand.
And I think a good 22, 30,000 views were from the Zika 7x.
So it goes to show what a car is probably just all I'm going to say.
A lot of people have it now, but it's been crazy.
Yeah, well done.
It's a testament to the amount of work you put into your channel
and the detailed reviews that you put in.
And you're right, the 7x has certainly helped us grow our content as well.
And it is a phenomenal car.
You read a lot about it before it comes to Australia,
but then when you actually drive it on the roads,
it's a really good vehicle and certainly deserves to be up there
with Tesla Model Y and BYDC Line 7.
Roland, I assume that's one of your highlights.
The 7x, anything else for this year for you?
The 7x, I think also seeing the whole,
how we always joke about the whole China type,
I think it's actually come to fruition
and people actually start to see it.
Like we know that touching on the topic of the 7x,
we know there's one overseas.
We know Zika have committed to not bring the latest model out
immediately so people can enjoy the current models.
We're seeing the X-Ping when they launched
and then soon after there's the new updated version.
So it's good to see that we are definitely top of the priority
in terms of for these companies to bring cars into Australia.
And it's also good to see how quick they're actually innovating.
And yes, it helps drive competition, right?
For all of the other manufacturers,
they need to up their game as well.
So it's 2026 on all this going to be very exciting.
Yeah, I agree.
And it's just the tip of the iceberg.
We've seen such growth in the number of options now
for EVs in Australia, but it's only just the beginning.
Riz, I'm sure you agree.
And Roland, next year is going to be huge.
The choice is going to be phenomenal.
And Australia is a test bed for EVs, which is great.
We get to see a pretty close to bleeding edge from China
coming to our market and testing it
in a pretty tough market in Australia, right?
We have huge distances to cover, don't forget.
And a lot of obstacles to climb and overcome.
So, and Riz touched on that too, on charging.
That's no mean feat, I think,
to have that many charges we have at the moment in Australia.
I just want to put out there that 2025 was the year
we mustn't forget that FSD launched in Australia and New Zealand.
That was amazing to actually experience in person.
I've always been not skeptical,
but always have been a bit wary of FSD supervised
what I've seen on to actually put my hands
or not actually put my hands on my lap
and let the car drive me and Joy around Sydney.
That was quite an experience.
So, for me, that was definitely a highlight for 2025.
And to see all you guys on the channel
and on social media too in Australia,
experience it for yourselves.
It's been really, really good to see.
Tom, just adding on the back of that,
covering Tesla and FSD so closely
and Tesla in general for many, many years
on the driven and of course here on the live stream as well.
It's been interesting to see the ups and downs
in terms of the development of this full self-driving technology.
I think they're getting closer.
And like you said, to experience it
and I think all three of us have been...
It's hard that when you test drive a new Tesla now,
such as the Model Y performance
and the new Model 3 long range rear-wheel drive,
the number one value in that car now
is the ability to have FSD supervised
and potentially for that software to improve
to a level which is in the States,
which is pretty good now,
car park to car park sort of enablement.
And I think that that is something
that Tesla had a really successful
sort of media and PR behind it.
We discussed this on live stream
a couple of months ago back in September.
But it would be really interesting
to see how that converts into sales in 2026.
I had very high hopes for Tesla this year.
I was expecting them to easily outsell
what they sold in 2024.
Obviously they've had a few challenges,
but part of it is of course the Model Y
wasn't there for most of first half of this year.
The new version anyway,
but now that we've got that,
we'd like to see how things stabilize.
But it's really hard to sort of
look at the new EV market
in that price point that Tesla plays in
and think if you're spending that sort of money
and you've tried FSD supervised,
it's very hard to pick something else in the market
if autonomy is important to you.
So worth test driving
or at least getting to experience it at the very least
because that could be the next expectation
from ex-paying a few other brands
to have that level of technology in their cars
when you're ready to move on to your new EV
in a couple of years time.
Yeah, I think that's a very good point.
For many years Tesla was the leader
because they had access to the Tesla Supercharger Network
and now that a lot of it is open to every
or a lot of non-Tesla EVs,
suddenly FSD supervises now
the thing that separates Tesla from the rest of the pack.
So, yes, Seeker 7X is a fantastic vehicle,
but then there's always the,
oh, but Tesla's got FSD,
so that is the weight there's more from Tesla
until we see, I think ex-paying is probably the next brand
you would think to bring some sort of autonomy over
to Australia to test.
From what I heard this year when I was over there
with them earlier this year,
I don't think they're close to testing yet,
maybe 18 months away,
but I think Tesla's certainly got that advantage
at the moment, so...
That timeframe certainly seems right.
I think Herschab Hung, their CEO at IAA
in Munich a couple of months ago
said that in Europe they're expecting it by Q4
in 2026.
So, the timing is a little bit like that.
I think you enjoy one of the very few
that have tested the latest version of XNGP
over in China recently.
And looking at your videos, it's really cool.
It's really good to see how close they are.
Yeah, that's right.
I can release something on the 5th of January
when the embargo drops for one of the cars
that we tested with XNGP,
so we were actually behind the wheel joining us.
So stay tuned for that video.
I'm looking forward to showing you guys that one.
But yeah, that was another highlight for me.
Being able to experience another version of autonomy
other than FSD in China
and being able to drive a car in China,
that was certainly a highlight for me.
It's a whole different ballgame driving over there.
It's got its own challenges.
I think another highlight for me too
was just witnessing Shanghai Auto Show
in April 2025.
That was just phenomenal.
That just blew my mind and joy as well.
We just could not believe what we saw.
Watching one haul that was the size of the ICC in Sydney
or the Melbourne Convention Center
multiply that by 16.
That is the size of the Shanghai Auto Show.
Yeah, it's phenomenal.
So we say China time, we say China size,
but until you actually see it with your own eyes,
it's certainly something else.
Another highlight for me this year,
is seeing the breadth of EVs now,
not just Tesla, not just BYD,
but so many brands is grabbing a foothold in this country
and hopefully they will stay in time.
We've seen the likes of Deep Expo,
Leap Motor, MG's doing good things as well,
Zeca obviously.
And yeah, lots of brands now coming into the country.
So I think we've got lots to look forward to in 2026.
Now Tom, I'll also have to say right here,
you are now a proud owner of an MG this year.
I think that's been good.
And please drop my memory,
was that limited edition seal sold this year
or was it late last year?
See, I can't believe how much has happened this year, right?
We sold them a Tesla Model Y,
Rural Drive and this BYD Seal Premium
all in this year.
It was all this year, that's the thing.
This year so much has happened.
It's been so jam-packed.
The one with the blue calipers.
That's why it's sold, special edition.
That's it, exclusive.
That's right.
Yeah, Lightning asks,
did I experience God's Eye in China?
No, I did not experience God's Eye in China.
It's not the BYD version anyway.
I will actually say though,
I did visit a few BYD dealerships
in April, around the Shanghai Auto Show, period.
And you walk into any dealership,
even the Seagull had a version of God's Eye there
in the latest version in 2025 Model 1s.
Of course, it's not, you know,
from what I've heard from people that have tried it,
you know, Mark Rainford,
Toby and a couple of the guys that are based in China
that we often run into,
they still sort of deemed the Huawei system
as being sort of the industry leader.
And then sort of X-Ping and the rest
and actually experiencing Huawei system this year
was back in April, it was unbelievable
what that system could do.
This was before FSD came to Australia.
And, you know, the Chinese are not far behind in this tech.
And Huawei now is like in,
like, dozens of models over there
in terms of the tech inside.
It will soon become like that Intel, Intel inside,
sort of for Apple Silicon inside,
Huawei inside will be in a lot of,
and I think Huawei has launched another three brands this year
or something like that.
So another prediction for next year is one of those
is going to land in our market,
whether it's Avatar,
whether it's Luxeed or one of the other ones.
So watch this, watch this space as well.
We might be getting some other sort of autonomous driving tech
in the next 12 to 18 months.
Yeah, I got to test drive the Avatar one too
back in February this year.
It was a great car, unbelievable.
Hopefully we'll see that.
Looks phenomenal.
Great sedan.
And yeah, sorry, Mitch.
Yes, I did abandon Team Seal.
Yeah, I'm sure it's all right.
I'm sure you cope without me,
but it's been, it was a fun 18 months.
It was a fun vehicle.
I got to say.
Now, this is a good point.
Actually, Tazzy EV says,
what about the news on door handle changes required?
No more electric door handles in China?
Will that also come to our market?
Yeah, I mean, I'm sure that will filter through.
If you can't have Chinese cars with a flush door handle,
then yeah, I'm sure we will have the same sort of thing
when they come with, when the cars arrive here too.
It's probably not a bad thing, you know.
It's just for safety reasons.
I assume that's why they have that regulation passing through
and they need to actually physically open the door,
I would think, guys.
Well, yeah, but then,
you know, some of the Huawei stuff there,
it's gesture.
That Maxtro, Maxtro S800
or whatever it is,
the Ross Ross Maybach equivalent.
That thing is, everything is gesture.
You sort of swipe it
and closes the door
and then you want to open the sunshade
and you want to turn the projector down.
It's all swipe gestures and a whole lot of other things.
So, yeah.
It'd be really interesting to see how sort of
what regulations are brought in
and how it impacts
those automakers that have got those
convenience, cool, trendy sort of
features in their cars.
You know, what's interesting, guys, you know, like
two years ago, maybe even one year ago,
people would sort of question
Chinese-made cars, right? Quality of the
Chinese-built cars. I mean that, for those
in the know, like you are three of us
and those in the audience will know that's just
a fallacy. We know they've built very well.
It's amazing how much that narrative
has changed in the last four months.
Having seen the Chinese cars here now,
how good they are and how much better
they will be in the next four months.
We know Tesla's ahead
with FST in this country, but like you said, Riz,
they're not far behind the Chinese
autonomous systems like Huawei,
X-Ping. I think it's only a matter of time
before they catch up very quickly.
And on that note, Tom,
I was going to say, sorry, Riz,
yeah, I was just going to say,
I think it also comes down to how important
is it to the user?
Like I think I saw, maybe it was Evie as
or someone mentioned earlier on
that they like driving as opposed to
autopilot or FST.
Me personally,
I couldn't catch, if it's got
cruise control, I'm happy.
If it drives better and it doesn't have FST,
I will still pick that car for me
personally. So I think
it really comes down to what's important
for you as the actual driver.
Would you trust it? Do you
hate driving? If you hate driving and FST,
it might be the best thing in the world.
Yeah, good point.
So having, see,
I agree with your role and here in Sydney,
I'd probably just switch it off because I just like driving.
I like on all the roads around where I go.
But being in an overseas
place like China, I was so much
happier having X-NGP driving around
than when I took the wheel. I was terrified
because I didn't know the culture. I didn't know how to
what people would like on the roads.
Whereas with X-NGP, it kind of knew
what to do and I just sort of pay
attention a bit more to my surroundings
and yeah, I think it would
be good if you weren't familiar or if you
you just needed more accessibility
with the way you drive. But I agree,
I also like driving too. So I can see
both sides of the story for sure.
And I think that
this is where it's like
giving the use of the choice of what
they would like to do it in some
cases. Believe it or not, most people
hate to drive.
They don't want to be driving.
There's a rare breed
of people that are on this live stream
and people that listen to us that
don't mind driving.
But the majority
of the people, I've had
at one of the shows, I think it was a Sydney EV
show, I was hosting a panel
it was like
one of the ladies
there, the question was asked
what are you most excited about and they actually said
for full self-driving technology
where I can't wait for a car rocks up at
my home, I load the kids into it
and the kids are taken to school
and I don't have to do anything and I can just go
and just wave at them and before you know it
that they picked up and bought back home
that's the level of stuff for most people
it's transport.
But no, I fully agree for us
car enthusiasts that needs to be
and that's why
we talked about how much Chinese
cars have improved.
A good sort of example
and I wanted to touch on this, I don't know why I keep
coming back to this car where I think
it's a pretty big milestone
and what's happened just before Christmas
we had probably one of the last
launches of the Jku J5
EV
36990
driveway for
high quality
mid-sized SUV, it's not cheap
it doesn't feel cheap. I remember when we did
Cherry
Amoda E5
or whatever it was called, EX5
that was a good car
for the price and for what they were
sort of offering
but it had Bings and Bongs, it had
quite a few other things going on that were like
we just wish they'd improved that
within 12 months
this car doesn't have many of those things anymore
you would never get that
with the Japanese brands or Korean brands
or others, they've obviously
gotten, done a lot of local
ride and handling and tuning
but you get into a new Kia or Hyundai
you've got as many Bings and Bongs as you would
get with some of the
some of the culprits
out of the Chinese models
but just what you get with this car
it's another sort of
milestone, of course we've seen
the BYD Auto II
already started deliveries, I think the base models
around about $35,000
drive away
so we're getting to the
early $30,000s now
for SUVs that people
actually want in the market
and hatchbacks that are under $30,000
we've seen that with the ATO I
we're going to get the
Geely EX2
and maybe Dongfeng Box
and a couple of others
so
it's a very very exciting time
I think all the things that people are not questioning
whether it's a Chinese car
or not, people are not asking
how long will a battery last
in this car, if I buy
do I need to replace it every 3 years
all of those doubts
that people had, even charges
a lot of people are not even asking that question anymore
they're saying well my friend down the road
can do it, if they can do it I can do it
I actually
saw a JQ J5 today in Chatswood
I don't know whether it was a press car
it must have been, there can't be that many on the road yet
it was a black one
I actually double took
it's not a bad looking car
it kind of reminded me of a Range Rover like a Voco
a little, yeah exactly
4.3 meters in length
looked quite nice actually
looking forward to giving that a test next month
we have one on loan
but yeah it looks snazzy Riz
36990 for the first thousand customers
that's not a bad deal at all
and it can DC charge at 130 kilowatts
so it's not bad for a car that size
I believe 11 kilowatt AC as well
11 kilowatt AC
absolutely it's a decent car
yeah good efficiency too
there's some good stuff coming out
and obviously the GAC Ion V looks good as well
they can DC charge at 180
for a car that's going to be 42 grand
that's not bad at all
yeah I think these cars are going to give
the totes of the world
run for their money next year I think
so lots to look forward to
here's a question
here's a little comment I want to put up here
I just saw earlier
here's a question if cost is no issue
and this is for all of us here
would you get a Polestar 4 dual motor performance
or the Tesla Model Y performance
here we go, let's start with Rowan
so mine's biased
so I'll be honest
I have not driven a Polestar 4
but I can tell you all the pros
on why I would buy a Model Y performance over
a Polestar 4 based on
what I know about the Polestar 4
one I would pick the Model Y
I am 100% confident in the acceleration
of the car
you will be happy as a car enthusiast
you will honestly be happy
it will give you smiles all day long
the second one is the number of software updates
that you get like the car just
continuously improves like continuously
we still got our 2023
our 2023 Model Y
we picked up in February
it's still getting the latest update
or most of them I should say actually
I know the new Model Y performance
it doesn't have track mode
but the previous one did get released with track mode
and I've taken my car to the track
so if that's important to you then
it might be something to consider
and then probably
front space, I genuinely before owning an EV
did not think I would use
the front that much
but I am one of the
drivers, types of drivers I guess
but I always
religiously reverse into
every single spot
we're reversing to our parking spot
which means that 99% of the time
I will use the front space
and so a big front is actually quite important
to me, so that's fine
but as I said, I'm totally biased
I have not driven the Polestar 4
so I can't comment on that
so I'll look to the Agents to give that side
of the argument
so many things to like about the Model Y performance
for sure. Ris, how about you?
Yeah
the things that obviously Roland touched on
having driven both of those cars
it's
I was a bit skeptical
about the Polestar 4 purely because
of the digital rear
mirror
and
yeah, just something about the packaging
just on paper didn't look right
but having driven that car
it's
so much fun, I just could not believe
how much fun it was
maybe it's because somewhere between a sedan
maybe
so I forget the fact that it didn't have
a proper rear-view mirror and the rest
the thing though
is all the other things that Roland
touched on
and
if you're looking for space, Polestar 4
is not your car
having recently driven
the Y performance
the best thing like I said
that car has, even though it's a driver's car
one of the best features
is the fact that you can have
FSD if you wanted it
so on long trips
because I had multiple disengagements
with the Polestar 4
where I would be on their equivalent
of autopilot and then it wouldn't even
disconnect and wouldn't even let me turn it on
so you just keep driving
for the next 100 and something
case wherever I was going and you can't
turn it on and you don't know what's wrong
you can't pull over on the side of the road
and restart the whole car, you shouldn't have to do that
if you want things to work Tesla
is your answer, if you want
something that turns heads
that has awesome
acceleration and obviously
quite
is quite premium in its own ways
and space is not an issue
and software doesn't bother you
then Polestar is the way to go
Reside the same issue with the
Volvo EX90, the software was a bit odd
we had like kilometers
hundreds of kilometers without
what do you call it, with cruise control
lane keeping cruise control, so that was an issue
to be fair I only had the Polestar 4
for a week
I'm going to go against the grain here
I would say that would be the car
that I would personally want
I'm shallow that way, I do like the look of the car
every time I look at the car on the road
I'm like oh that's a nice looking vehicle
so just for the reason, for the fact that
it's a more unique looking vehicle
than the Tesla Model Y which is obviously
everywhere now
I would go for the Polestar 4
it's a really comfortable car
and I think for
a ride handling passenger comfort point of view
I think the Polestar 4 does win for me
the Y is definitely a driver's car
no doubt, if you're just in the car by itself
you just tear it
I think the Y would be the way to go
but I think if you're carrying people
then I think having those beautiful seats up the back
the beautiful interior
the Scandinavian design, all that stuff
I think I'd go with the 4
car play
the software is not bad otherwise apart from what RISC
said with the occasional issues there
with the long drives but
I thought that would bother me but it didn't
after a while, I think it was fine
I sort of got to learn to live with it
so I would be controversial here
and say I would go for the Polestar 4
over the Model Y performance at this stage
so there you go
is that a charrette's
I think so, I'm not really wine-o
this is something I saw downstairs
the glass of wine I've got, I think so
it's either a charrette's or a cabernet
something like that
so I don't know my wines as well as I know my EVs
I'm just putting it out there
now Tom actually
one of the highlights this year you'd have to say
was the Zika 7X launch event
at
I'm trying to think of the winery
Penfolds
and their exclusive
Salador that they had
underground
now when I'm picturing
you grabbing something from downstairs
I'm thinking an underground bunker
Salador
maybe we're at your place and you just didn't even tell us
so there we go
I wish there is
I don't have a mansion like rolling up in the hills
so
my pantry with my wine
one day maybe, one day
I do want to know more about wines
because yes I do enjoy them
but I don't know as much as I would like to
here's a question for us guys for each of you
what was your biggest let down in the EV space this year
oh that's a
that's a good one
that's a good one
feel free to jump in I'll have a think about it
that's a tough one
yeah go Roland
the
segment or the shapes of the vehicles
that have come in for 2025
like
we've said and we've said many times
we've wanted smaller cars
like as in small hatchbacks
like the Ato one size
and wagons
and we thought that this year we might have
got something but
we clearly didn't so here's the hoping
2026
nice
Riz
I'll think a little bit more
Tom if you've got anything go ahead
yeah
it's a tough one like I don't
there was nothing that was terribly disappointing
I'm looking through my videos now
the Jeep Avenger
that was this year last year
that was
for such an expensive car
that's only three star and cap rated
I think that might have been last year
that sort of springs to mind
and like any Stellantis car
like the Fiat and the
quite expensive what it is
but on the flip side
the Leap Motors being a Stellantis brand
is quite good
for the money they ask
so I'm looking forward to the B10 next year
when Leap Motor
allows us to drive the
press cars so yeah
but apart from that nothing really
stands out too much
I guess
I'll sort of
talk about
the Japanese brands
and
Volkswagen in particular
this year on paper
it's been good for the Volkswagen
they've got a whole lot of new EV models
they didn't have before previously
was really just the Cooper born
which I don't even know if they're still
selling anymore because it looks like
every time I see one on the road I get excited
because I'm like hey that was an original
Volkswagen product that
was one car to drive
the pricing of
the ID4 and ID5 wasn't great
Skoda
they are quite nice
I've heard but
I still think the Chinese have a pretty
big edge on a lot of those products
now in 2025
and that edge is only going to grow
in 2026
ID buzzes apparently are not
really selling
there's a whole lot of issues
there that I think Volkswagen in general
globally is going through a bit of a tough patch
and anything that we think
is affordable is hatchbacky we're just not
getting we didn't get the ID3
we're probably not going to get whatever
the affordable
ID2 or whatever equivalent that they're
launching in Europe in next year
so
a bit of a let down but
it's an opportunity for Chinese brands
so let's watch this space
yeah good point Ruth
I must say the V2 cars
whenever you sort of drive on you
you have to sort of just shut the software
part of your brain off
because you know it's going to be a disappointment
like the ID4 5
the Cooper Taviscan ID bars
but they do drive very well
for what it is that's the thing
it's a nice car to drive
just like the BMW ix
but yeah hopefully
I think we've heard this here
and then we might be jumping on board
with VW for the software is that right
over in the US
I think they've got some sort of a partnership
going on
as cool as Rivian
is
I think they're still
are not getting the sales
and now in the US they don't have
the tax credit anymore
they're going to them and Lucid
are going to have a very tough time
even in the US market
because of the Chinese competition
so
the fact that we will see
right hand drive versions is very unlikely
for another two years, three years
the R2 is supposed to be coming
in the next six to twelve months
that's going to be big in the US
like anything it's going to take a while
to fulfill that demand
so
yeah I think
even the Volkswagen has invested
heavily in
X-PENG
their first model I think
is not far the IDUNIX
I think it's called
that they're launching in China
but I think the shine has worn off
the Volkswagen brand in the Chinese market
people are saying why should we get that
when we can just get an X-PENG
with X-PENG's tech
and apparently the software updates
are very regular in China
which we learned at the X-PENG
was it the AI day
or brand night I think it was
that image
and if the latest Guangzhou water show
we went to your CBW
the stand has got a lot of collaborations
with Chinese brands too
hopefully they're learning
and starting to collab more with Chinese
tech and Chinese software
and hopefully we'll see that and improve them
from that point of view
because you drive an ID 4, ID 5
you just feel like you're driving a car
that's two generations behind for their software
it's disappointing from that point of view
not to mention the app or lack of
yes and no V2 well
that kind of stuff
just goes on and on
yeah Mitch just having to return the spectre
I think that was last year actually
but yeah that's always a bit of a let down
I'll just borrow Riz's next time
that's right
if I fire my driver
because he couldn't use the BP pulse charger
that we saw last week
I think we might have to
we can do a road trip Tom
it's always fun
happy to be driven around Riz thank you
spectre I'll have to get a maestro maybe
we did the EQE
we did the EQE
but no I think
that luxury space
we're going to see more from
I think Denza is going to be an interesting brand
to watch in 2026
they're starting with their plug in hybrid models
the off roady looking
B5 and B8
but I think the Z9
and potentially the D9 people
will be here in 2026
so yeah there'd be an interesting
brand to watch
there's also
I don't know if anyone in the audience
is sort of seeing the Denza Z
that is being tested
it was it's if anyone's interested
Denza Z was a prototype
concept car that was
showcased in Shanghai
but they've now got convertible
version and two-door
versions of that car being tested
in Shenzhen and at the Nürburgring
so that is going to be
quite a unique car
when I'm suspecting if it's BYD
time it will be launched
hopefully by the first half
of next year
and another big highlight I guess
if we're talking about BYD
the Yang Wang U9
Extreme is now the world's fastest
production car
reaching 496 kilometers an hour
and they had an example
at the recent Guangzhou Auto Show
and for anyone
that is mocking
tires
this Yang Wang U9 Extreme
that has done nearly 500 kilometers an hour
was sitting on some gitty
tires which is obviously a
local Chinese brand as well
so when we
made jokes about whatever brand
because they came with the early BYDs
and then the Chinese brands
are making high performance
world class tires now
so it's going to be quite interesting
to see if we see any of the Yang Wang
or the Denza products
the extreme sort of variants
of those in the next year or two in our market
I think GT
technically is from Indonesia
which is based in Singapore now
not quite Chinese but yeah
good to see it's at least not on
the usual like Bridgestone and
Michelin
Sydney EV, hey nice to see you Rob
if Yang Wang gets to Australia
will they change the name? I'd like to see them
keep that name it's a pretty unique name
Yang Wang which is it
Heavenly Goat Yang Wang
maybe someone with Chinese
knowledge more than mine can correct me
but I'm sure it means something quite
heavenly rather than Yang Wang
which sounds quite Aussie
who knows
I mean they you know Fengcheng Bao
they've changed
no Denza's not Fengcheng Bao
that's something else isn't it
the B5 I think is the Baofai
which is the Fengcheng Bao
Fengcheng Bao
Denza brand
I'm sure they'll change it
for Western markets
Yang Wang presented
by BYD a bit like IM presented
by MG, worked for MG
that's for sure
all right well guys let's
move on and let's talk about 2026
it's been a good recap thank you guys
and thank you to our audience
for filling us in on that
on the 2025 highlights
but we might actually push on
and see what we can look forward to in 2026
I might actually share this
article
from Drive and we'll put one from
Cars Guide and one from NRMA as well
just to be fair with this
so Drive looking forward to things like
the BMW iX3 the new one
with hopefully the new class
software and architecture that should be good
saw that in Guangzhou
they launched out there looked pretty good
so hopefully it drives pretty well already
the iX from what I've driven
so if the software can match
the drive quality I think BMW might have a winner
in 2026
so I didn't make a post about it
but that car got ADL proof just before Christmas
oh nice
so it's official
750kg
non-braked trailer
towing and 2000kg
maximum towing mass brake
trailer got it open to you
so for the people that do need to tow
or want to tow it's got good specs
yeah
I think of the European brands guys I think BMW
is probably out in front
with many in terms of software and drive
quality
all those things
and Merck too I think I think they've done well
Vistik
Cadillac Vistik so
had a chance to look at the Cadillac Lyric this year
that was a fun little
drive to Goldman to test out the Tesla Superchargers
but the Vistik is like the
SUV and that's coming
apparently next year as well
I'm sure with the
price tag too much too guys
the Cadillac Vistik
so yep
expect with an old world brand like Cadillac
oh Ferrari's first
dv here we go
2.5 seconds 0-100
ok
looks
pretty prototypical still but
keep an eye on that one
and the Beijing water shows on this year guys
in April so
hopefully other reason myself will get out there
and fill water for you
it should be as big as Shanghai
or to say alternate every year Shanghai and Beijing
Genesis GV60 Magma
this is like the
Roland of Karim if I'm wrong this is the
the end version of
Genesis GV60
supposedly
sharing the same drivetrain
same everything in the Genesis look
and the Genesis luxury stuff
nice
I have to get Roland on the track for that one
so stay tuned for 2026
GWM aura 5
so this is a
bigger version I would have think than the aura
that we've got currently
this was at the Guangzhou show
it's only slightly bigger
but it still
looks and feels very much like an aura
it does doesn't it
this one's got LiDAR too
this one I'm looking for
having just come back from Japan seeing all the K cars on the roads there
this one I'd love to see here
Honda Super 1
pricing wise what are we thinking
I mean you would I would love to see
the sub 40 but
even sub 35 I mean
but I think I'm dreaming
they had the other I forgot
what they called the other one that looks similar to this
there was a
yeah the Honda E I think it was
it looks similar to that there was
one of those car importing places
imports Japanese cars
it was on sale in Australia
for about $70 or $75,000
so I can imagine this
yeah I mean it was
only like one or two of them but
I'm struggling to see first of all
how that's even going to sell but like
if they imported one and it was that price
how is
how will they make one that's half the price
yeah
this car at least looks like a K car
like it's a boxy little like
this has got that K car spirit right so
yeah love to see this
maybe Lang Lang guys
maybe someone might invite us to Lang Lang
and test it out there that would be good
stay tuned everyone
oh here we go this is going to be
sure the Hyundai
Ionic 6N
a face a mother
would love
yeah so Roland I mean
you're the track man
I'm sure you wouldn't say no to this
oh here we go
I mean you know at the end of the day
you're the one inside the car
yeah true
I'm just hoping
yeah I'm just hoping based on the picture there
it doesn't have the digital side mirrors
I'm hoping they don't make it
something that's non optional
with digital side mirrors
so I think it will sell better than
they're not
if you do have that as an option
yeah you would think the 6N
would be more aero than the 5N
right just being a sedan
supposedly
alright Sydney Motorsport Park
here we come next year stay tuned
Jaguar Type 00
wow is this actually going to be
produced this car
I thought it was concept
yeah
I think they sucked the designer
didn't they or something
yeah that was recent
yeah
alright we'll have to get
drive to have a look into that
now here we go another Jeep Recon
100kWh
what happened to the doors
we don't need doors
it's an option
it's an upgrade package
not very efficient 402Ks apparently
Lexus ES
another sedan
is this for electric or is this hybrid
sold as an electric
yeah
electric version then
alright good
Tessie Evie says the Recon the doors are
removable without tools there you go
oh good for thieves
Mazda 6E yes of course
Joy and I got to have a chance to drive this
I think Riz you did as well yeah they go
6E yep yeah
so hopefully we'll see that on the
roads this year it'll be interesting to
see how well that sells given it's a Mazda
people know the brand we know it's a Chang'an
underneath but that's fine I think that's a good thing
good little car
it was an SUV version of this car
at the Guangzhou Auto Show that was
quite quite popular
in electric and plug-in hybrid
versions as well
so yeah maybe that's
Mazda Nissan and a couple of other
brands that's their future lineup
anything that's made in China with their badge
on it that's likely to come
to Australia
yeah smart move starting price under
55 grand I think the guys
when I was there in
earlier this year they sort of mentioned
that price as well so hopefully we'll
see that under 55 so that'll
put it in line with the BYD seal
if it's sub 55 it's a good
price
MG4 with the front-wheel drive version
looks like that'll be sold alongside
the rear-wheel-drive version
yep
so I think the rear-wheel-drive version
looks slightly better but
yeah
having a front-wheel-drive version
kind of a more city spec version
of that car
surely they have to call that something else
people might get confused having two cars
that look very different being called MG4
we'll see what they do
with the naming glitcher
here's what I'm looking for
to you guys near Firefly this is going to be
something we have to test
very shortly already spotted
in I think Melbourne right earlier this year
spotted in Melbourne
I've driven it around a car park in Chiang Hai
it's such a lovely car
but I think
you know
hearing mixed news they're supposed to
be here this year but it looks like it's
going to be next year
I think Singapore
is getting their right-hand drive versions
of their cars
interestingly at the NIO stand
these are also invited
to the NIO house upstairs
and spoke to a couple of people there
and they also showcased
a right-hand drive version
that was on the stand
at the Guangzhou Auto Show
so it means that they're finally
building the right-hand drive versions
Singapore is the first market
and I think Thailand is to follow
but
yeah probably now looking
closer to Q2 if not Q3
next year but it is a really cool car
Chris how do you get invited
to the upstairs hospitality areas at the auto show
seriously I would look up there with Joy
we get very envious so
you'll have to invite us there next time
I think next time
if you're rolling with me
we can make it happen
let me in I've got a bonza ticket
well it's easy you pretend
like you're supposed to be up there
the ladies at the front are not going to say no
when you walk up with confidence
and say you're going up
and you're only rising to the top
it's rare that they let you say
no sir and especially the fact
that we look like foreigners and we're there to do business
no drama
just roll with me Tom we'll make it happen
well fake it to you make it
look like we belong there
Nissan Leaf I wouldn't mind testing this one too
this is interesting
after what 13 14 years
the leaf is back
good
so this was based on the area
I think or the blend
or this is like an evolution of the area platform
because this is more like an SUV
yeah it does look quite bubbly
rather than like a small hatch right
yeah the area I gotta say that okay so that was
probably one disappointment for this year
look if that was if I tested that car
back in 22 23 I would
said yeah great good good to see it in the market
but being two or three years later
it's just a bit of a slap in the face
from Nissan so hopefully the leaf will come to
Australia in good time along with
everyone else so we'll see
Porsche Cayenne the new
Cayenne no sorry I'm thinking
Taycan so this is Cayenne this is the
biggest SUV
the biggest SUV
what do you guys think of the Cayenne when you saw it this year
the Porsche Cayenne EV
I personally like it
it looks nice
I love all things Porsche
but
yeah probably the same
but they just it's it's so hard
it's it's like
watching a
slow train wreck unfortunately
with what's going on with Porsche
particularly like you know the
Iced Cayenne used to be around
90 odd grand starting
price from memory
I think the EV version starts
at around 140 150
and they just haven't sold
Porsche is going through a really tough time
on the back of new product
like the McCann's new there's a
refresh version of the Taycan
there's obviously this Cayenne coming
but these things
were started about 150 to 170
plus on roads
and probably go north of 300
grand for the top spec models
the Roland spec
so you know
but at least it's
good to see but this was like
the McCann it's supposed to be on the new
premium Porsche
electric or whatever they call that
PPE platform the new version
Tex specs and everything
on paper look amazing
really really cool stuff and I believe
this might have wireless
charging
this car one of the Porsche's
coming up is going to have wireless charging
so that's another thing
to see how that gets implemented
but yeah
Porsche you know we'd like to
see them do better but the
competition is just far too high and this is
a very important car for Porsche because
in China SUVs are everything
and being
electric it has hopes of selling
high but at those prices that Porsche
wants unfortunately a lot
of people are just
eyeing out local brands
I'll be very happy
to be invited to a Porsche event
don't get me wrong I'd love to test this out
so I do love Porsche as well
but yeah you're right guys good points
it is a lot of money for
a lot of cars that can do the same thing
for you know much a fraction
of the price right like Xiaomi
U7 it's just a phenomenal vehicle
if you've ever seen that car up close so
yeah you're a brand's
in the next you know 5 or 6 years or so
it's about hashtag 5
so this might finally come to Australia
having seen this what was it
no it was last year wasn't it we saw this in Brisbane
or Byron Bay I should say
yeah it was October last year
so
I saw it in China
in April
in the showrooms
and every time I go back there's some sort of a new promo
on so
I suspect they're not selling too well
there is an e-rev version
they're trialling out at the moment
but I'm assuming we're going to get
the fully electric one
we still don't know how smart as a brand
is doing in Australia
you know some of their cars are really really good
but they're not sharing their sales
numbers I've got a rough
idea based on the dollar that I'm seeing
but yeah it's
it'd be good to see the brand mature a bit
and maybe even go back to their roots
you know what was it smart
for 2 yeah
yeah
yeah
yeah I think they're just asking too much honestly
they're using the Mercedes
has leveraged the fact that the collaboration
with them and Zika
sorry Geely
but I think it just might be too much
nice car though smart hashtag 3
as I keep saying
Toyota BZ4X touring
yep
there we go
is that supposed to come to Australia as well
likely
but it's yeah
they've just announced
an update with
better tech in general including
22kW AC
but
yeah the design is very conventional
I don't know how I feel about the two tone
yeah even the
BZ4X is two tone as well
I've got the Salterra coming up
so I'll see if there's any improvements
compared to the previous Salterra which is
the twin of the BZ4X obviously
and of course
7 GT guys
this is the one that
turn a lot of heads at the last two auto shows
everything electric and also the one in Sydney
so not
confirmed yet for Australia but I would
say surely based on the feedback
this would be very high
but they have priority lists to bring this to Australia
7 GT
let's hope so
me too
Andrew if you're watching
we've got three capable men here who can do some pre-production
testing for you over the next few months
so you've got our numbers
and just doing that top spec here please
like the 7X performance
that's a hot tailor so
it's got to be that one
and sub 80 grand will be nice as well for the top spec for Roland
not asking for much
no not at all
I'll just quickly run through
Cars Guide to see if there's anything we've missed
Kia EV4 sedan
okay
oh gee
it almost looks like
the E07 multi truck doesn't it
that's with the sloping back
got to see how the boot opens with this one then
yeah
I'm not sure if it slides open
Kia EV9 GT
alright so it's only the GT line
at the moment with the EV9 so if you want
a rip roaring GT version
of the EV9 this might be one for you
look at you Roland
of course JQJ5
we talked about that earlier
good one to test
LeapMoto B10 yes definitely one I'd love to see
Rural Drive of course
Mazda6C
he has talked about that
Suzuki E-Vita yeah that'll be a good one
BZ4X
what's this Kia EV5
yes
I've seen one at a fleet show
last month
and it looks pretty cool
for cargo but they've also got
a passenger version of this
really looking forward to this particular van
almost looks like the mix doesn't it
yeah it does
I like it it's pretty funky
I like it too
the Kia EV4 is challenging the Ionix 6
for ugly price oh jean
shots fired here we go
let's go back to the Ionix 4
what do you guys think of the Tasman Ute
I'm sure you see that around town
oh gorgeous looking car
looks similar to this EV4
that's all I'll say it does doesn't it
yeah I'm not a fan of the Tasman Ute
I gotta say
let's keep going down
oh yeah post out 5 of course
yes
I don't mind it
don't mind it the price tag to match Roland
171,000
price tag does not look good
looks like the X-Peng
P7
or P7 plus
okay Ionix 6
7 we talked about that oh Hilux
EV more shots fired
master range it's got
and look
if it's available and people can buy it
that would be an achievement
in itself
oh that range
just get laughed at
and that's WRTP rating so that's not even real world
and then you start towing right
Lexus RZ
looks like a Lexus
BMW iX3
looking forward to this one
definitely won't test that one
oh Leapmotor B05
what's that one
that was at the show at Guangzhou
it's called the Leapmotor Lafa
or B05
it's a hatchback and there's a hot hatch version
of this coming next year
the hatch has just been launched
priced really well in China
and the hot hatch
is coming next year
it's definitely destined for the European
and international markets
because it was actually
first unveiled at IAA
in Munich
before it was even unveiled in China
so it was at the Guangzhou Auto Show
it looks really cool in person
that's quite impressive it's really hard to get around all those
male and female models
that are always posing and live streaming
around those cars
but I tried to get a bit of an up close look
and yeah it looks really cool
so hatchbacks we've asked
for it and they started to come
it has DC charging speeds of
nearly 170 kilowatts
which is pretty cool
what happened to the do you know who I am trick
surely you can get past those live streamers
look when you've got a person
with four mobile phones
on one sort of like
sort of a holder
and it's facing you you can't say too much
because you don't know where that's going
I saw in Guangzhou there was a rig
this guy was pushing this trolley
there was about 10 phones on this rig
it was phenomenal what an effort
yeah but I agree this car looks good
I want to see more hatchbacks like this
yeah bring it for sure
oh speaking of Kia EV2 that looks
cute as well
I need a GT version of that
yes they do
so line this up with the Insta
with the B05
with the Firefly with the X2
bring it that would be a good test
and finally NRMA
let's see what Brydie's got for us from NRMA
I think we've missed from the other two let's see
so yeah
a few PHEVs here
so the C-line 5
of course
JQJ5 yep talk about that
oh here we go to KGM Taurus this is the Korean one
EVX
apparently already had the dealers
oh really
apparently
do they have a KGM dealership here in Australia?
yep they do
it would be the old saying young ones
they do sell
highest versions of KGMs today
okay
I have to check those out
um
okay C-line 8
this is a 3 row PHEV
go ahead and check out
I've heard on the grapevine the full
Bev version is
likely on the cards for
later next year
nice
that'll give as you guys said earlier the
PHEV 9 and the KIA EV9
and EX90
right for its money
I'm sure be ideal on the Cuddit
severely
Hyundai Elexio
look at this
EGM PSUV
is that their Savia
is that their EV5 equivalent
because unfortunately
Hyundai is not selling many of the other
cars in their lineup
and I don't think Ionix 6
the new ones gonna do
that well
but this I think could be
this is a China first car
this is already announced in China
and yeah it would be really interesting
to see what comes off this one
yeah cause I saw this China CLTC
so I was curious about that
interesting 550
okay
alright good to see Hyundai
finally competing
with the hopefully decently
priced car
GSE Ion V of course yep looking forward
to testing that one
and yep super one from
Honda
and the Skoda Kodiak the HEV
okay
that's oh 7GT good they mention that too
excellent alright
well that's good I think that's probably a good
summary of what's to expect in 2026
anything stands out for you guys
apart from the 7GT of course
finally more sports cars
yes
I didn't see the GLEX2
in that lot or the Xing Yan
that's the one I'm looking forward to
good package looks like the smart hashtag 3
definitely want to see that in Australia
nice and early in 2026
yep
price tag 25 guys 25 grand
that'd be nice right
I'd say they might want to price it closer
to probably the Dolphin
essential
35 because they think it's the size
of that car but
you know we never know with GLE they
always coming with
really aggressive pricing when they finally launch
and I guess it depends on the market because
so far they've said it is
going to be here in second half
of next year
okay yep
hopefully a GT version for Roland too
nice
gents
that might be it guys if there's anything else
I wanted to add before we round up
this was a good show it's longer than I thought
which is good what's more to chat about
yeah
so let's finish off by saying that
the next show will be on Wednesday again
first week in January
so stay tuned for that
but look otherwise on behalf of myself
