Hello and a very welcome to the late breaking f1 podcast presented by harry eid sam sage and me ben hocking
Pre-viewing today the Hungarian Grand Prix
Sam you've always said the Hungarian GP very underrated if memory serves me, right?
I memory does serve you right and you are right, sir
I think the Hungarian GP's a secret banger also helps us get a water park nearby and if you know me
You know that I love a water park and also fascinating how the weather is deciding among those parts. How are you?
You're our 30 year old man
I
Have your opinions change on the water park already hungry I'm not changed
But I've always been a fan of hunger. I think like yourself. It's a
It's an underrated underrated Grand Prix. So looking forward to this one
I think we're gonna have a one of the better races of the 2026 rules here
Very politically well done. Thank you. No straights basically that's why Harry Bergman, right? I
Got we got Andy Byrne in reference
Two for two I just before we move on I love the concept that as soon as you turn 30 your opinion of the
And it's in a couple weeks time. Well, it's the first of August you will you will suddenly change as a human being
Maybe not the hungaring specifically, but it's just like one random race. You suddenly are very very opposite feelings
I see it and they just say clicks out one minute past midnight on the day
Abu Dhabi, it's great
Don't push it. Yeah, that might be pushing it
We are of course here to preview hungry this evening
final race before the summer break, of course
And as usual the hungaring round 11 of the championship just before that summer break
longtime permanent fixture on the calendar it first hosted a race back in
1986 and hasn't been off the calendar since then the track has remained relatively unchanged in the 40 years
We've been coming here
And it presents a very different challenge to our last few venues such as Silverstone and Spa
This is a tight twisty circuit that will reward chassis and aero performance with overtaking notoriously quite difficult turns one and two
Probably the best opportunities on the track
Rain is of course seemingly banned in 2026
But I can only report the weather forecast as it is right now
Which is that it is looking dodgy for Sunday at the moment
I've heard reports there could be rain over the water park already get me there immediately
Well
Water I we're gonna say a park never mind
There are so many people who will not understand the water park reference that was 2018
It's almost 10 years ago. I think I vaguely forgot how it works anyway
They just kept saying that it was gonna rain at the track because there was rain over the water park
And then it just never rained despite the fact they keep kept saying that it was going to site the five second penalty for rock on thing
Yeah, eventually will just become weird law in the background of formula one pretty much
Before Sam we focus on maybe the the teams and what we think maybe the pecking order will look like in that regard
Just wanted to focus on the Mercedes duo
Antonelli's lead now 45 points after the last Grand Prix back to Lewis Hamilton
George Russell a further five points away
With this being the last race before the summer break and we know whatever happens
Antonelli is going to hold the lead going into that
How psychologically important is the extent of that lead? I think
Belgium was a massive blow to Russell's confidence
Your workout, I think if you've kind of trawled through the internet if you're gonna sad people
That's forever online like the three of us that there was a bit of an inside joke between George Russell
Charlotte Claire actually after qualifying and the spring sorry in Silverstone
They walked into the call-down room where they were both on the podium in the main Grand Prix and you'll recall them saying oh
Look, look who was thought not us
You know because they were joking about how they wouldn't be in the podium because obviously their teammates have been beating them for the first half of the weekend
And I think that was a psychological damage for Russell that again Antonelli is faster
We come to spa Antonelli is on pole position half a second faster than Russell and Russell needs a good race to kind of
Motivationally get back in the game
Not necessarily with the points, but with the fact that he can just be faster than Kimmy Antonelli
He's not again after what happens with the battery failure, of course at the start
Which happened to many Mercedes powered cars, but mostly affected George Russell
And if you haven't heard folks the radio that came out of George Russell's car what is in the gravel is?
Extreme my man is not happy quick fire question on that
Did the FIA not play it during the race because a
It was not very complimentary of the battery or B because it had so many
Expletives well, let's remember now that they're doing things to protect the driver and that is always at the forefront of all of our minds
So that's the official party line. That's what's being told
Answer yeah, it wasn't played it was a crazy radio. Go look it up. He's not happy
We know that in his big race interview it was almost in tears with how devastating he was
He is in the dumps when it comes to where his head actually is right now
Motivationally, he is struggling. This is his last chance. I think before it basically ends for Russell
He'll need such a turn around in the summer. He'll need the equivalent of color Pinto's winter. He'll give a Russell summer
He's a hot George summer is what he needs and
If I was gonna do it, it could be him but he needs to start in Hungary and
There's a good wall apart down the road. If anyone's gonna have a hot George summer. Yeah
It might be George. I reckon probably not Kimmy. Every summer is a hot George summer in his mind
So I think regardless of what happens if the Mercedes is slow
narrator it wasn't
He will need to still beat Antigali and prove that he can be faster in the same machinery
But it won't be slow and therefore he needs to essentially win the Grand Prix
Harry in terms of this points margin could could sway one way or the other as we've kind of seen over the last six Grand Prix
Or so how important is it for for Antonelli to extend the advantage? How important would it be for Russell to narrow it?
On Antonelli, I don't think it's that important at all
I'm not saying he's gonna go to this weekend just like laid back and gonna lose lose a load of points on purpose
But I think given we've seen how as you mentioned the the points have swung swung back and forth albeit
Antonelli's not lost the lead, but it certainly closed down quite a bit
But he's not been that bothered. Does he he's just turned up on the next one and got it done
I know obviously in Belgium
It was a it was exaggerated by the fact that Russell didn't score anything and Antonelli won but I
Think he was due to to gain points on them. Anyway, so
Frantonelli, I don't think it matters too much for Russell like you said Sam
It's super important to get back
Get back some of the points that he lost in Spa
Because yeah
It it took him a while to chip away at the the gap that was there and he hadn't made his way down to zero
But if it's gonna take that long each time he needs to start immediately. So a win
Or at least a substantial outscore of his teammate is gonna be super important for Russell
Yeah, I think psychologically is maybe more important than what people realize because yes whilst Antonelli will again have the lead
Regardless of what happens in Hungary
We could be going into the summer break with Antonelli having a 20-point lead
We could also be going in with him having a 70-point lead both of those are possible and those two are very very different
Situations, I agree with you Harry in that for Antonelli
I don't think it matters too much because he has been utterly
Unphased all season long by what's happening around him
He's just been focused on what he's doing getting on with the job and ultimately claiming a lot of wins
And I keep waiting for
This driver who is in his second year in F1. We know he's one of the youngest the youngest on the grid
Sorry second youngest on the grid
We he hadn't won a race until the start of this year
I am waiting for the moment that it sinks in for Antonelli and he starts to get in his own head and
At some point you just might have to admit it's not gonna happen. Like he is just so
Unbothered by everything that's going on around him. It's it's massively impressive
the race before a summer break is very important psychologically because
Whatever you do in terms of your performance and your result
You have to sit with that for nearly a month if you if you have a great race to end this half of the season
You get to think only of that for the next four weeks or so if you have a stinker in terms of performance or result
There's nothing you can do about it until we get to the Netherlands in like four weeks time
So I think it is important if the lead is like 25 30 points at the end of Hungary
And you're George Russell or Lewis Hamilton suddenly you think well Mercedes have had a lot of DNFs this year a lot of reliability issues
I'm in this thing if on the other hand it's back out close to 70 points, which is what it was after Monaco
That's a real blow for both of those drivers in that Antonelli has had a DNF at
Barcelona a non-score at Silverstone and this little segment of the season if you were still to say that
Margin is something close to that 68 points he had coming out of Monaco
That's tough to reason with so
Yeah, I think it's important for that reason you're calling it the the goal right before halftime essentially. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, 100%
George Russell and his deficit to Antonelli just wanted to focus on this because there were a lot of comments over the Belgian GP weekend
beforehand George Russell was
Hypothesizing about whether it was his driving style that was the issue
He concluded or he and the team concluded during the weekend. It's not that
Instead he now believes he's convinced that it's an unknown car issue that he's dealing with
After a time from the Belgian GP, of course
Russell over team radio said that straight-line speed had been completely unacceptable all weekend long now Harry
I'm not expecting an answer that Mercedes seemingly can't give. I don't think we're gonna be the ones to be to be able to break this
But you never know. Let's wait and see. Let's not say crazy things
Why do you think he might be struggling like is it is it an unknown car issue that Mercedes need to find? I?
don't know it's it's
It's not one because
He versus the other Mercedes cars around him
Really did struggle at the top of that top of the chemistry didn't he?
Some say he was losing places like three places. I
Saw a video earlier that was he was the only one of those four that he didn't down change through a rouge
now
We are we are hypothesizing a lot here because as you mentioned Ben we aren't Mercedes engineers and we don't know thank God for them
Thank you. Ah
Kiran shopland is delighted
We're hypothesizing but he was the only one he didn't do that
So that is a driving style aspect that is different to those around him and he was the one who suffered this issue
So that could be part of it, but it is odd that he seemed to lose quite so much and
So what goes back to a wider point that if you don't down change during a rouge you suffer that much the end of the
Chemistry that in itself is problematic
But that is the formula we're dealing with in the moment and you've got it. You've got a drive around it. I
Yeah, a total wolf came out after the race and was sort of suggesting it was 50% driver 50% car
I'd probably be inclined to go down that route. I don't think it's completely one or the other
I think there's probably things that Russell could
He could well be doing differently and again, this is hard for us to know given we're not the ones in the car
But then also, I think Mercedes do need to see if there is anything else
That's happening. That's that's weird and we have seen
Not just Mercedes, but other cars
another other, you know powertrains that have had
Just random issues and the drivers like what on earth was that or why is that happened?
So I think it's it would be harsh to say it's completely one of the other but I would be I
Wouldn't be surprised if it's if there is something up with the car
But also Russell does need to do something different with his driving
What do you think Sam is there? Is there something underlying that's going wrong here? They're very well might be
They're very well might be we've seen throughout the season that Mercedes in particular obviously McLaren started badly
But I've definitely come out of that a little bit
But Mercedes in particular have had problems with both cars throughout the season and actually it's
Alpine out of all the Mercedes powered cars that have done the most racing laps
More so than Mercedes more so than Williams or so than McLaren. They are far and above the most
reliable Mercedes using a car there, which is interesting
It's Alpine that are on top because it's their first year with all that in the car
And they're seemingly able to do something with it quite interesting
Maybe something to read into it
Maybe not if we're gonna hypothesize on the flip side
We have had conversations about drivers in the past who have
Desperately believe that something is wrong with their car the most recent one springs to mind with Daniel Ricciano
That he had a crack chassis at one point and it was being carried between several Grand Prix and they eventually changed it and
Suddenly he became a bit more competitive. This was his racing bulls
Correct. The team name was at that point, but this was yeah post-mortem
it was and
Now whether that is a purely psychological thing and we know how much of sport is psychological
You've got to be in that right mindset. You've got to be motivated
We've seen with even the greats that they've got to have the right people around them
So make sure that they're uplifted and positive and feel good about what they're doing
It's like George Russell right now is he started to spiral and can't work out what to blame and the last thing that he wants to do is
Blame himself which is completely understandable because as an athlete you need to have total faith in what you are able to do
And if you believe that you could be the best then you've got to really believe that you could be the best
So it does feel like blaming the machinery which has shown weaknesses is a logical step
I don't think we're saying he's again come out and just claim flat out that something is wrong as was the case with total wolf
But I wouldn't be surprised if sure. There's a bit of a software problem, but equally Russell has a hand looking the best
Yeah, I wanted to give a shout out to Jenna on patreon
Actually, so we put this out as our episode briefing ahead of time on patreon to let people know what we're gonna be talking about on this preview
And I think he's given a very measured response as to what might be going on and maybe similar to both your responses
It might not be one thing. It seems to be a combination of multiple things the things that Jenna has listed are
Undiagnosed car slash engine issue lack of confidence in himself some bad luck and a lack of support from the team and I think maybe
It you it'll depend on your opinion as to what percentage of each goes into this
But I think it's broadly right that it is a combination of these things
And based on qualifying at spa and indeed the break start as well
I do believe there is something not quite right here and I think those are that are just saying
George Russell is slow. I
Think that by itself in isolation is pretty lazy analysis in that
George Russell is not this rookie driver that's come out of nowhere and isn't doing very well
George Russell as recently as last year we were discussing is he the second best driver in this sport George Russell outpaced Lewis Hamilton
At Mercedes in 2024 he dominated Kimmy Antonelli in
2025 and you might say well Kimmy Antonelli was a rookie you'd expect that well
Some of the all-time greats that have come in as rookies have done pretty well. Lewis Hamilton is a great example of that
It doesn't necessarily mean it has to be that way. So just to say that in 2026 where George Russell is no good
That that by itself to me is a bit undercooked as a take like there's more going on here
I think and when we've seen like the spa qualifying laps Antonelli versus Russell the fact that
Russell and Antonelli are so well matched in terms of top speed in the first half of the lap and in the second half of the lap Antonelli has
10 kilometers an hour more in some parts versus his teammate is a bit crazy
So it points to either there being again some sort of car
engine software issue or and or I guess you could say some sort of driving style difference that's leading
Antonelli to claim a little bit more energy recovery
I'm gonna trust George Russell and Mercedes that there is at least something going wrong
I do agree with you both it feels to me that it doesn't explain all of it
It's maybe 50 50 and there's still work for Russell to do. Do you think
There's a chance that Mercedes are starting to wang on their support with with Russell
It felt like an odd response from Wolf. You think so? Yeah
I I was surprised by Toto Wolf's response in that if there was a problem
He would have just come out and said there was a problem
I thought it's not like he's come out and just thrown Russell under the bus
But it's not a glowing endorsement of Russell either like he he stresses
This is an issue with all Mercedes cars. He doesn't isolate it to Russell's car
He says this is something that all Mercedes cars are dealing with which to be fair
Antonelli and his struggle up to turn sort of to Radeon no Rouge would support that but that kind of
I don't know caught my eye a little bit
The fact that he said he has less energy to deploy at turn 18 only
The fact that he's stipulated its one corner and not the entire racetrack again
alarm bells a little bit and then he obviously says he thinks it's about two and a half temps that it's costing him
We know that the gap in terms of qualifying at least was closer to half a second
So again, it's not like Toto Wolf has come out and said
We don't support George anymore anything ridiculous like that, but there are far
There are versions of him coming out and defending Russell a lot more than he did. I think yeah
Yeah, that's how I saw it as well. I had to hurry. I don't know if you you agree
Yeah, but if they're waning in their support at all for George, that's hella unfair
given how loyal that man has been to
That team sat through that Williams for years only to get a call up and then beat Hamilton
Yeah, but then also sitting a crap Mercedes for three years as well. So I
Yeah, we're not suggesting is they've they say they're not throwing him under the bus or anything, but
Come on. No, no, I help help him
Yeah, help out well at least try first. Yeah in terms of helping him out
What can or should they do at this point? Like do they Sam?
Just completely rip it all apart and put it back together again. Take some grip penalties at a circuit like Hungary where maybe you wouldn't normally or
Is the is the danger there that if this is a software issue, that's not going to do anything
Yeah, and of course over the summer break, you have to bear in mind
Especially if you're into F1 we have almost a lockdown essentially you aren't allowed to
Get out there use the cars. You can't get involved with the cars
It's very much a kind of right cars go to blankets and that's it
So if you're going to try something and go different and try and regain that support and that motivation
It has to be done a hungry the other thing they could do of course is fire and together immediately and pertinent car decaying in the second seat
Russell and the cucumber it sounds like a kicks. Well, that's a film. I wouldn't watch
All right, let's let's take our first break on the other side we're getting into Ferrari and Red Bull can they challenge for victory at the Hungarian?
Sam as you know, I have a big birthday coming up very soon
The good news is I'm dealing with it really really well and not having an existential crisis in any way shape or form
I'm completely fine with the realization that there are now more drivers on the F1 grid younger than me than older than me
Yeah, I don't believe you that is fair
But I have at least found something that helps and that's blueprints longevity mix
Blueprint came from a simple idea if you're going to build a daily longevity routine
It should be based on research careful formulation and ingredients chosen for a reason
What I really like is how simple it is
It's just one scoop mixed into water and get this it's designed to support things like energy

Welcome back everyone
Harry a Ferrari contenders this weekend. We've come from a couple of circuits that are much more power sensitive
We're now at a track that is far more focused on chassis on aero
Is that the key to to get another another Ferrari victory?
I'm gonna caveat this with its Ferrari. So trust nothing always bear that in mind always
But hell, yeah, I think they they should really be confident about this weekend given
Their formula they've had at the last couple of races at tracks that shouldn't really suit them
I know LeClaire was fortunate
With the BC and stuff and that that sort of put him in the victory fight
When he maybe shouldn't have been but their pace was still pretty good
Both Ferraris relatively so no hometown damage, etc. And and obviously Silverstone
LeClaire one so this is a track that should suit that car a lot
So I think they should be very confident going into this one that they can they can challenge for challenge for victory. So
Can't wait to see how they're gonna surprise us and let us all down
Would it be fair to say?
Silverstone and spar again, even if there were some circumstances that helped LeClaire and Ferrari out on in pure pace terms
He's still on the podium in both of them
Exactly and and like I said, I know he'd look like I was fortunate with the VSE, but pace wise he was really really good
And whilst, you know, if Norris and Verstappen had been in in that fight, then maybe he wouldn't have been on the podium
But they weren't so I
Think the pace that they've had they've shown at both these races
I know Austria was not good before that, but they've obviously made some changes to the car since then
The pace they've shown those tracks should really encourage them for the one that we're about to go to and hungry
It's been quite interesting Sam to track the Ferrari progress since that big upgrade
They had in Barcelona Barcelona, obviously they were they were very very good
Silverstone and spar maybe good, but it's not as good as Barcelona and then Austria probably their bogey track of those last four
Where does Hungary sit in that range? Well, there's a famous expression which I know is a trio
We all absolute love on this and I'll tell you let me do my best voice for the people that say it
I think I'll find that hunger is actually monocle without the barriers
That's the formula one nerds out there
Wow
We just cut them off. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, it's got a lot of cool thing. We don't appeal to nerds. No, right
I
Be cool like us you freaking nerds. What's that mirror doing nerds?
We used to call each other freaking nerds at college because we were so lame still do
Yeah, it's very similar to monginco, right?
It's a downforce heavy track and if I'm gonna play devil's advocate here
We all expected Ferrari to rock up and do really well because it is a power centric and Antigua Lee
Dominating beyond belief when it came to monginco now there are some differences the average corner is definitely faster at Hungary
I think that is more similar to the middle sector of Barcelona
It's far less power centric right Barcelona's got a big big corner the last sector long straight
The rest of it is quite mid speed realistically very similar to the middle part of Silverstone very similar to the middle part of
Spa and Ferrari was solid in all those elements
I know they were trying to balance the setup in spa
But they were still quick throughout certain parts of that racetrack and those are complementary conditions to what is all of Hungary
You pair that with the fact that Hamilton is what the most willing driver
Hungry with eight crawl pre victories is very successful here
I do think that they are in with a chance of really challenging for the leader
Do you think it's gonna be closer between Ferrari and Mercedes then it has been at the last couple of Grand Prix and we talk about the last
Couple of Grand Prix it was probably down close there as well. Yeah, indeed
One thing I decided to look at before before we jumped on here for this preview is
And I appreciate this is slightly outdated because full throttle percentage doesn't maybe apply in the same way in
2026 as it has done in previous years
But I wanted to have a look at you know, how often around the lap you are full throttle around Hungary
Versus the last couple of circuits that we've been to so Silverstone is about 68% that puts it fourth
Of all tracks so close. I know right you'll be annoyed at this one as well. Spa is sick for 66%
Come on. Yeah, we won the World Cup man. Come on. That's an all right number. Oh, don't bring that
So you've got so that's sick
So you've got both of those in the top six for full throttle percentage Hungary is all the way down in 20th
You're only on full throttle about 53% of the lap here
So it's only Monaco, Singapore and Mexico that are actually lower of current tracks
So, yeah, that kind of proves that power is not going to be as important here as it has been in other in other more recent venues
Like you Sam, I hate Monaco without the wall. It's it's a rubbish comparison
It really is I think I'm into offending anyone but it's just you hear it all every time we get to hungry
You hear someone say and it's so tiresome and it's obviously it's lazy and analysis. It's just lazy
That's how I see it. It's often described as well as like an overgrown carting track
Which honestly, I think it's way more accurate than just it it's Monaco about the walls
But anyway, it's a different expression guys
The yeah, and I wanted to bring up the same point that you did Sam that is we've had one pure test of chassis so far this year
Ferrari came in as favorites for it that being Monaco and they didn't win like they were a long way back from Antonelli
Neither driver was on the front row for qualifying in that race
So I think this will be a bit of a test those upgrades that sort of came at Barcelona
Were they good of this? They were good enough to win at Barcelona. Will they be good enough to win here as well?
I'm intrigued and obviously that's not the only upgrades they've brought recently
I think Belgium was only the second race so far this year that they haven't brought upgrades
So it's um, yeah, it's a much better car than what we had earlier in the year. Maybe that'll be enough for victory
What about the drivers Harry? Who do you think has the upper hand right now?
Of course Lewis Hamilton ahead in the championship, but Leclerc's coming off the back of two very good results
Yeah, I think
These two pretty evenly match at the at the moment aren't they? I think a few races ago you'd say easily Hamilton had the
Had the momentum over over Leclerc. He was going, you know, look at Barcelona Hamilton
Windsor race and Leclerc has a complete stinker
But yes spa and Silverstone have certainly helped
uh
helped boost Leclerc's
Momentum whether that's to do with the he changed his brakes didn't need the thing he was complaining about quite a bit
Dates of mind Lewis Hamilton. Yes, exactly. Um
So yeah, they seem much more evenly matched
So I'd it's tough to say I wouldn't want to say uh, but either one of them has got the advantage
I think they are so close at the moment over the past couple of races
You'd say race pace wise Leclerc has had the edge over a race distance
In the first part of the races they seem to be pretty close and then the close aged away
But as you mentioned just now, Sam Hamilton is a serial winner around the home gara ring
So, uh, I wouldn't want to bet against him too much going into this weekend
So goaded that he started a race along his own at one point
Yeah, you could clear the grid. I think we're in that one though. I only have a goat won that one
You can have a little bit of joy mate. It's been tough for you
It's this been a tough year for rock on fans around the world me and all six others
I'd love to go though. I'd love to watch the meeting around the round table of you and the seven
Oh, we don't have enough to fill a round table. It's actually a square table
It's a semi circle
Someone gets the corner. It's a bit awkward
There's someone like not really sat down
There's someone pulling off a great ick because they've got a chair that's far too tall from the table
Yes, someone's always by the tea station because I don't want to be seen with you
And then the other way around someone's got a chair that's far too small. So they're like their heads
I've like nicked it from the preschool. It's like a nursery kids chair
Two X man. That's too many for an Auckland fan club
Yeah, and when you combine that with being an Auckland fan as another ick, like it's it's rough
Tri-factor
I was going to just quickly before we move on to Sam, Harry, is um
If right now the car is available for either the Hamilton or Leclerc to win are you
Roughly even in terms of their confidence like they can go and get it like they're both equally
Informed competent enough to take a victory
I think right now. Yes. I think that you would probably bet I'd
Lean more towards Hamilton on that just based on the year overall
but if both had
Up and down races. Um, I think Hamilton's low points have not been anywhere near as low as Leclerc's have been
Yeah
But he still had some a few races that I think we mentioned this
Reaked a little bit of last year a little bit earlier in the season like Suzuki. Maybe was that's the big one
Yeah, um
So yeah, I think right now both of them could if presented with a car that can win as we've already seen they've both done it now
I think either one could I just wouldn't maybe lean towards Hamilton
Like 52 48 to Leclerc and as we know that is binding
In our current world. It is mate 52 48. That is how things are late breaking way. Yeah, we've always said it
How do you view the uh Ferrari matchup at the moment Sam?
If we're going on form, uh, Hamilton has it in Spanish right eight victories here
We've just spoke about the clerk doesn't have a podium here. I don't think you are correct not he has he has a podium at
23 different circuits in his f1 career. Hungry not one of them
I think fourth is the best he's ever done. I think it's done it a couple of times
But yeah, it's not being a truly successful. Yeah, and it was looking good. Was it last year where um, they had poll last year
Yeah poll and then the car started to just get worse and worse and worse. He led for like 30 laps
Exactly. Yeah, he held on and I think just got
Bad. Um, so it's not to say he can't do well right here, right? He's mentioned he's got the poll
He's got the raw pace but something seems to not go his way every time
But if I'm going to lean on the form book if I'm going to look at history
And also the fact they have been so evenly matched over the last five or six Grand Prix
I would err on the side of Lewis Hamilton
But the cursing a right rocket form right now is really doing well. I do think that if anyone is going to
Take it based on recent Grand Prix
He might be a bit of a dark horse of challenge for the victory here
That's if Ferrari can give them a car that genuinely does challenge the Mercedes guys
Well, just to add to that like
Charlotte Clair over the last two Grand Prix has scored 43 points
He scored 46 in the six rounds before that
So he's really turned a corner this season and credit to him
It's not just the fact that he's beaten Lewis Hamilton over the last two races
The pace is definitely returned if if it weren't for the safety car at Silverstone
That margin would have been very healthy indeed and even with the five second penalty at Spa
It was still just over 15 seconds that separated the Ferrari drivers at the flag. So yeah, Leclerc's definitely turned a corner
But as you say Hungary is is somehow Lewis Hamilton's backyard and you mentioned he's got eight wins
Somehow he's got more pole positions than he has wins. He's got nine poles. My man loves it here
Absolutely loves it. He doesn't just stop picking up penalties
You know, it's not good and he's making a bit of a habit of it. You heard his radio expire where he's kind of like
Another one
DJ Hamilton over here throwing up the ones at the camera
Stop getting the fives my guy stop getting stop getting the fives start looking out the zeros and you might get the ones
free very very lot a lot of maths going on there
Not sure what adds up no more five second penalties zero of those one victory. Come on. Got it
Thank you. Um, any chance for red bull, Harry
I think so. I mean the Stappen goes very well. I mean goes well anywhere, doesn't he but goes very well here. Um
We didn't get to see it in the race, but he would that that red bull in his hands in Monaco working very well. So
uh, another another track that tests chassis not because they are related in any in any way Hungary and Monaco
um, but
Yeah, I think I think you expect the Stappen to be to be challenging
Where they struggled in the spa was in the straight line. Uh, you know the the bits of the straight line. So, uh,
There are a lot less of them here in Hungary. So I'd expect Stappen to be up there
Do you like uh red bull's chances sam? It's almost like
We're taking away the the battery element a little bit which they've struggled with but that also means we're taking away
their
Leading ICE on the grid. So how does it work out? I put that dust up with that absolute nonsense
Um, look what was the one area that red bull absolutely thrived in its spa?
It was the middle sector
It was the high speed corners with rapid change of direction and max the Stappen
Thrive through that section in a car that we saw in the straight lines was so
Difficult to kind of get up to speed to follow the cars around it
That's where he was able to be the closer gap or pull away from the cars around him
Hungary is basically an entire lap of just the middle part of spa for the most part
I really think there could be dark horses to go and win this Grand Prix
I think if they're going to take a chance at a victory
There might not be a better opportunity for red bull right now than Hungary
Well, we'll see if that translates into a poll 123 prediction, but before we do that time for a bold prediction
Are my F1 bold predictions and help the law be run?
Harry you can go first
Aston Martin point, baby
I'm selling away because that's also mine
I mean we'll discuss Aston Martin a bit more after the break. Um, but
Top 10 for Aston Martin or you actually said points. So if they're any better than 10th, you're wrong
Point or more points they can have all the points
Or they can have one of the points
You haven't weirdly distinguished which driver you think Aston Martin point because honestly, mate at this point
Who knows what's gonna happen not stroll before
You know what it would be really land stroll to get 10th here, wouldn't it or no to get ninth here and win the season 2 1
Yeah
Yeah
And he'll just be like just fancy trying today
Yeah, okay. Um, do you want to stick with that as well? Sam? We're gonna have a repeated bold prediction
No, no, I can't do that. It's just us against the law
Uh bold predictions. I'm gonna say that max for staff and we'll win
Oh
Oh a max for staff and victory predicted from sam
my bold prediction
So you sometimes you just think you're clear and then it just pulls you back in. Oh, it's aldi, isn't it? It's aldi
I have for every other week. What's the matter of you? You got a problem?
Yeah
Yes, I have a problem. Secondly
Should be a good track for them in theory. It should be a good track for them
Their chassis is pretty good. So I'm gonna say there will be one aldi in the top six
Whoa, that is bold. I can't wait for a b from the bees nests
In the commentary box to fly into the kill switch while it's halfway around the racetrack
You know what that would almost be too normal of a reason for them to not get this
It'll be weirder than that somehow. I also can't wait to finish seven for those
Oh, don't do it aldi. Yeah, I'm gonna go aldi top six. Um poll 123 sam
We already know the the one of your poll 123 but what about the rest? Uh poll I think will go to
Shall la claire I think the wing will be max for stappin. I think second place will be la claire
I think third will be ance and ellie
Fing for nando
Fernando a long time
for not
Pog 123 harry
There are some real grown-ups that listen to this show and they must get to these bits and go
Wow, whatever move on. I'd be surprised if there are real grown-ups listening to anything we do all of our stats are made up
No one's listening
Uh poll I'm going for lewis hamilton the win. I'm going for lewis hamilton
Max Verstappen will be second
And george russell will be third
Oof well, we've got um three different race winners for three different teams here because I've got poll position
Kimmy anton ellie the win
Also for kimmy anton ellie second place for lewis hamilton and third place for shall la claire
Oh
Bye bye church
Yeah, I mean championship down it wouldn't be a good result for him, but um, yeah based on recent form maybe not
Um, right. Let's take our second break on the other side
We're chatting asta martin and their search for points that they're apparently gonna get
Oh
Welcome back everyone time to talk asta martin now
They haven't got a lot of coverage on some of these previews recently because well, they've been very slow
We've expected them to be very slow, but uh, they have a major update coming this weekend that has been months in the waiting
So we've got uh, I believe to be included in this upgrade
Rear suspension new nose
Revised aerodynamic surfaces and a significant weight reduction doesn't look like they'll be quite at the weight limit
But they will be far closer to it than they have been up until this point in the season
Um harry is this just going to be a b-spec car?
Yeah, yes, uh, and they should be calling it a m r 26 b because I don't think there's going to be many bits left on it
that were on the original
m r 26 to be honest so
Look, it's the it's uh, I agree with that logic here
There was no point in them doing a we've spoken about this before no point in them doing like a cadillac and sort of just chipping away
The they've been in dire straits and whilst the last few races especially have been
painful like just pure pain like seconds off cadillac
um
This hopefully should be uh should be worth it because the amount of upgrades they're bringing to this car
Again, this is a lot of hearsay, but they reckon it
reckon a couple of seconds which
Again, it has to be p 17. Yeah, it's got to be at least a couple of seconds to get them back in there in the fight. So
um
Fernando's just looking forward to that do like more than lap one with other cars. I think
Uh, at least half a race towards the same other car. Yeah
And they're going to wrap up the car for an onzo to open like a present on christmas
Yeah, here's what we should have got you for your birthday, but it's now christmas
Um, is that good?
No
Yeah, it's uh
The thing is
It cannot be any worse can it oh now he's done it
No, but it just there is no way it can be because it just can't be anyone. They aren't making 107 percent rule now
They're going to put it out and you just break
Yeah, um, which see obviously it's not the whole thing because honda's upgrade isn't coming to zandvort
So yeah, well, we'll be there to witness the the win
We're gonna work this summer
witness the fitness
Um, but yeah, I think there will be there'll be some improvement
Is this gonna be is this just gonna be a brand new car sam?
Look ask your martin as someone who's hanging out his job. Let me tell you it doesn't solve all your problems things still go wrong
so
Lucky you're bringing a few other people you miss out you like
It's gonna solve everything. Where's my rear suspension? Yeah sam sam sage b is what they call me. I can be sam bench actually
That's unfortunate
Yeah, that's not done me well. Um, you had a cool name before that. I know
Page really has a double meaning
Um, yeah, it's a brand new car and it needs to be a brand new car because I think it's the slowest formula one kind of decade
It is you know, you remember harsh being seconds behind
I think this car would lose to that car at a straight fight and that's awful to say but it really is that bad
there's been comparisons that
Um, it would be slow around spar then f2 car then a gt3 car
It really is that far away from the rest of the field
And they are falling further and further back from the likes of kayak let alone
You're out pings you're racing balls. Yeah, you're oudies who are all progressing really well
They are seconds away along. So was a minute behind botas at spar and the only person to be two laps down
It is devastating times for a car a team and the driver that we all got sold a dream for last year in thought
It could be something quite special going on here. We might see something really
Different and new and fantastic
And it's it's flopped. So yeah, we need to make sure that they bring something pretty mega to hungry and I think
They've timed it well as we know
The honda power unit is rubbish
It is absolutely rubbish so far off the pace and whilst that has got an upgrade in xanvoid very much
Don't expect that to deliver a whole nother level for them. I still think that's gonna be a you know a step forward
Not a leap forward
So having two tracks in a row that are essentially chassis based downforce focused
Allows them to maybe get to grips with the car without worrying about the engine too much and then we of course get to
Monza
And then we'll see how far away they are again. No, I don't think I'm doing that one. They're just
Yeah, they're using their like, you know
Your reverse cars they're green. They can just blend into one of the italian flags. It'll be right no one will know
They're there
I'll get a harsh next to them and I'll get the ferrari on the other side and I'll go right. We're just a flag
And they're like ferrari, you're actually all right. You can race like now. We're we're good
So ferrari as well to go like, oh, sorry
We just assumed we were bad. Yeah, and to get it's waving these three cars around
Yeah, I'm with you both in that in modern f1 terms
This will be as close as we get to a brand new car in the middle of a season
Adrienne newie as well as had
months to put this together
And we've already mentioned that unlike Cadillac and other teams who have brought
Incremental upgrades as the season's gone on. There have essentially been zero performance related upgrades for
Aston Martin since the beginning of the season because they're all packing it into this one upgrade that's coming now
I
I mean newie's had a lot of time like he hasn't been he's still team principal, but he hasn't been
Due to health reasons are probably due to this reason as well
He hasn't been around the world much so far this year. He was in australia
I think and then
Didn't wasn't at a race weekend until silverstone. I think was the next one. So he's
You would imagine the irony of saying he hasn't been around the world much and quite literally flew to the other side of the world
And then back again
He's been around the world. He just doesn't done many stops in between
Which you know should have given him a fair amount of time to cook up something
Half-decent you would imagine what I'm particularly interested in is
Will
he do like a
Closest possible replica to some of the best cars on the grid
or will he bring
Things that are just brand new like proper
Innovative adria newie that we've seen in the past. I
I don't know where the balance is going to be between those two
schools of thought
Brand new baby
But that's what he did
The first time
Yeah, but he had no time
He had no time to cook up something
He's got you know raw eggs in the pan still let him make a full roast then cook up
It would it would be bold to go completely the wrong way with car direction
Seeing these teams that are doing far better and going
We're not going to copy that. We're going to do something different again
Like there's a third option that we should look at. Yeah
That's literally the the simpsons meme like am I the problem? No, the children wrong
It's always the children that are wrong
Um, harry you you said a couple of seconds. Maybe they're hoping from this
Do you imagine it will be around that could it be even better?
If it's not as good as a couple of seconds, is that worrying?
I think a couple of seconds like I said is a minimum, right?
It needs to be because that's almost like how far they are off the back of the pack. Um
Yeah, I think that's going to be the minimum for this weekend
Obviously, we'll see what then what the Honda upgrade brings as well. It's not going to shoot them to the front
a few again a few expectations or
Rumors or flying around that
they wanted to get up to like
the the mid like the
Albi racing bulls Alpine
10th 11th region
um
Which is a bull that's quite bold thing to say given where they have been
Um, but that's how much they're expecting from this from this upgrade. I think
Yeah, it's going to be an interesting one. There's going to be
for a team that's had no
Spotlight on it for basically a year in terms of like no attention because would they know what everyone knows what's going on
Fp1
All the attention is going to be on that car
Um, so yeah, it's going to be interesting. They might use their like yearly allotment of flovis in fp1 alone
Uh, to try and get these upgrades working as someone just tell them not to use the green flovis because it doesn't really work on their car
True. Yes. Thinking about aesthetics here
I just think you can't see it because green or green
Yeah, and the results. Oh, okay. Yeah. No, that'd be us to mine to do that. That would make sense. Is that all the flovis?
What's happened? Oh, we can't see any of it. No, that's the car
Oh
I've um, I've seen the same
Thing that you have harry in terms of hope that this might get them into that racing bulls alpine audi fight
Now, I know spar is the longest track on the grid
And I know it is a more power sensitive track than what we're going to have this weekend
But lanstrol was four seconds
away from arvid lin blood in q1
at the belgian gp
That is a massive margin to find without again changing the engine at least not yet
They're not going to be doing that this weekend
They're not changing the front suspension
And they're not going all the way to the weight limit either. We know they're cussing a lot of it
but it's not going to be 100%
and
I'm going to err on the side of caution maybe a touch more here
If they can turn this around and find
Three seconds plus of lap time through this one upgrade that doesn't touch every single part of the car
I will be seriously impressed like that will be a huge advantage to find
um
I don't I have my instinct is it gets them
At least competitive maybe even ahead of hasse and williams
I don't know if it's touching the group ahead of it one car at a q1
um
If they if they qualify p15 and p17 that I mean that's a step forward. Oh, it's a step forward. Yeah
Um, I think that's a realistic step forward
um
I think james vows might be under pressure if this really works
um
Not really because he'll be he'll be under pressure if by the time
His big upgrade comes in back who and that doesn't work and astro martins does then he's under pressure. Yes
Um, but I don't think it will be at this weekend
Well, let's see shall we?
um
Maybe no surprise sad, but there's talk of astro mart. Maybe not having enough parts because of how aggressive they're
Developing this car. I almost think it's a good thing because that indicates that you are being incredibly aggressive about these upgrades
rather that if they were super comfortable about the parts they're bringing I'd be like
Push the boundaries a bit more. What are you doing?
Yeah, it's a fair point and but I think there's a balance to be found of you've had enough time to bring an upgrade package now
You probably could have just done two of each one now at this point realistically if you if you go bring a whole beast spec car
I assume it's going to be lark stroll who's still going to be four and a half seconds back
And maybe a long so might be sneaking into q2 if all things go to plan
So I agree with the fact that they need to push the boundaries
But pushing the boundaries so far that they're having to essentially have a sacrificial lamb
I don't love it. Don't love it. But you know be experimental be bold. Let's hope it works imagine if something happens
Oh, we've not seen that before so it won't happen to the upgrade and then they're like
Sorry, here's the old front wing front nose back on
A long so would leave f1. I'm out. Yeah. Yeah. I'll go race with no front nose. I'm not doing it
I'm just a long so would walk home. Yeah, give me the honda jazz and it'll be faster
Come on. So yeah, we're going to keep the upgrade on on lunch. Is car is that okay for now? No leaves just never coming back
Let's do under pressure where we can pick any driver any team or indeed
Another person or track whatever we want that we think is under pressure going into a race weekend. So sam, what have you got here?
I've got with Nico Holkenberg
Now I've tried to not go for an obvious answer here because there's usually five or six. Well, well done. You've picked my one
Yeah, three for three
um
My man's come out as with a sassy comment recently about uh, Carlos Sainz potentially being spoken to for the odyssey
You know, oh, there's a reserve seat available. But I'm not sure he's gonna be interested in that one. Oh, god him nice one
Nico
Nico banterberg
You've been quite bad the last couple of grand prix. You have not been actually a teammate
You're gonna start scoring some points, son
Um, if Audi are rumoured to be good, this is the place to do it. You're gonna show up. You've got to be gabby
I'm just imagining a banterberg is like an Audi version of a battenberg
I would eat that up. I love a battenberg
I can't believe you've got to battenberg chat 50 minutes in
wrapped around it
I didn't think you were going to do the impression afterwards and you just get you just it has massive panel around it
It's great. It's a thing to get exciting about. Yeah
Um, I've gone with Nico Holkenberg because I wanted to avoid a bit of an obvious answer
We are so crap as a podcast
No
Betoletto now has 10 points Holkenberg has none and Holkenberg has been
11th, 12th, 4th 13th, six times this year
Um, but no points. So
He just needs to get some luck somewhere in theory
Again, this could be a track where where Audi are more competitive than they have been recently
Which I mean they've been competitive elsewhere too, but this could be even better
um, so yeah, he could do with putting his experience to good use and
Getting that gap down a little bit between himself
for his team mate. Harry, don't say I'll come back.
I will go for the obvious one and say George Russell. Yeah, as we've already
spoken about, an important weekend heading into the summer break for him.
And even if the wind's not on the cards for Mercedes, if they do have a challenge, which
would, you know, seem unusual given the amount they have won.
Even if it's not a win, he still needs to score or outscore his team mate before the
break hits. Yes, so we've got two for Hülkenberg, one for Russell, just as this segment intended,
I'm sure. Let's take a final break. On the other side, we're playing back and forth.
Welcome back, everyone. Let's do our F1 fantasy update, shall we? They're coming
fricking fast based on all of these races, and there seems to be a lot of change at the moment.
But before we get to our individual updates, let's focus on the top three in the league to
start with. So, never Lewis Faith. Been leading since like 2005 at this point, I think. Still
number one in the league. Still number two in the league is Lumley Speed Syndicate.
But we have a new challenger who has risen to third in Immaculate Ferrari, who was very,
very clever, or maybe got a bit lucky, didn't include Mercedes in their team.
Had Red Bull and Ferrari as constructors, which worked out rather nicely.
That's good tactics there. I'd like to know if the Lumley Speed Syndicate is related to
Joanna Lumley. I see which is a list of the show. I'm shocked Joanna Lumley hasn't had more
references on this podcast. I know I can. Could be a first. Do you know it probably
isn't, though, is it? No, probably not. No. And congratulations to the winner for the week as
well. So, Ode to Delicious, 328 points. Used three times chip. So, had two times on Kimmy
Antonelli, three times on Isaac Hadja and all of his overtaking points, three times not too
bad at all. Very well played. I have to admit, I still don't really understand how they calculate
the points on this. Like I get the gist of it, but like, I mean, every position you gain in the race,
you get a point, but you also get a point if you actually overtook them on track.
Right. So, Hadja got himself quite a few points at the weekend.
It's quite good at any. Not too bad. What about us, though? We have another
change at the top, because I had quite a good week. Managed to improve by 81 positions up to 274th.
I think not. But you are still second, Sam.
403rd, which I ever down as a drop of 53. Yeah, I obviously used my limitless at Silverstone,
so I went back to my original team. I kind of had a bit of hope with Ferrari, and they
had a mistake using my Constructor, so not ideal. Any changes you think are brewing for the weekend?
Yeah, I'm not going to spill the tea just yet, my friend, but I'm looking.
Harry, my friend.
I've had a bad week. I've gone down to 832nd.
You know what? I'm going to put my hands up. Bad week.
Do you know what? I had a good Saturday. I had a bad Sunday, so...
Sounds like a great weekend.
Your team got the Sunday scaries.
I really did, mate.
Oh, don't say that on this podcast.
Oh, well, there's still plenty of time. We've got over half of the season for you to recover,
as you might say, you've got us exactly where you want us.
Exactly.
Anyway, even if you can't win F1 Fantasy, maybe you can win F1 back and forth.
Probably not.
Probably not. Play the same, innit?
That's good.
F1, back and forth, it's F1, back and forth, it goes backwards, then goes forth, it's F1,
back and forth, F1.
Always shocks me when it goes forth again.
Does it really?
Just never see it coming.
You just don't... Fair play.
F1, back and forth. Harry versus Sam will go back and forth on correct answers until
one of them can't think of a correct answer or gives an incorrect answer.
I'll be real.
This is a tough one, so I'm going to give you three strikes each.
There are going to be some guesses going on here.
I'm tired.
Sometimes the passes like prolong the pain with this.
Yeah, that's what I like about this game.
Great.
So, the Hungarian GP first took place in 1986, 40 years ago.
I would like you to name the other 15 circuits that were on the calendar in that year.
OK. Harry's taking this seriously.
Well, I realise I think of things and forget them immediately.
Ah, new tactic.
No, I'm going to open up our text chat and I'm going to write them in that.
All right.
Oh, do you want to kick us off, Harry?
Monaco.
Monaco is a correct answer.
We've got one.
We're all good, folks.
Sam.
Silverstone.
Silverstone is not a correct answer, I'm afraid.
F*** off!
Harry, back to you.
That's one I can cross off my list, because I have that and that too.
Well, Adelaide, Ben.
Adelaide.
We reviewed it yesterday.
Adelaide is a correct answer.
It was actually the last race of the season.
A very good championship decider.
One that we have reviewed for Patreon this month.
Sam.
Monza.
Monza is a correct answer.
Harry.
Estoril.
Estoril is a correct answer.
Yes, indeed.
Sam.
Spa.
Spa is a correct answer.
We've got five on the board.
Here we go.
Harry.
Imola.
Imola is a correct answer.
Yes, it was around three of that season.
Sam.
Right.
We must have had a British GP, so if it isn't Silverstone, it's got to be Brandt Hatch.
Well worked out, yes.
We didn't have Silverstone because the British GP was held at Brandt Hatch in 1986.
Harry.
Detroit.
Detroit.
Great shout.
Yes, Detroit was on this calendar.
Sam.
Sam.
The, well, yeah, it's tricky, you know.
Hockenheim.
Hockenheim is a correct answer.
Well played.
Harry, back to you.
Um.
Hereth.
Hereth is a correct answer.
Yes, second race of the year.
Sam.
How many have we got left?
12345
How many strikes have we got left?
I mean, you've still got two strikes left.
Harry's got all three.
Okay, I'm going to go with Circuit de Gilleville now.
Yep, Canadian GP was on this one.
Harry.
Rio de Janeiro.
Yes, Rio de Janeiro is a correct answer.
Thank you very much for not making me pronounce the actual name of the circuit.
Sam.
Oh, no.
No.
Oh, no.
Three out there somewhere.
Oh, what countries were about that then?
The Yugoslavia Grand Prix.
Well, maybe.
Right, France is quite popular back then.
What?
Rago were quite good.
But was Magical on the cards?
I'm going to go pull a card.
You are correct, at least in one thing you said.
You're correct that pull a card was on the calendar.
You're not quite as correct about Renault being good,
because they had already left the sport by this point.
But that doesn't matter for this game.
My knowledge deceives me.
Yeah, Benetton had already entered.
Harry, back to you.
There are just two answers left to find here.
Uh, Mexico.
Mexico is a correct answer, yes.
Just one answer remains.
I underestimated you both here, giving you three strikes.
No, I'm struggling at this point.
Oh, I'm struggling.
I'm struggling.
You can do this, son.
No.
You can.
Don't put that on me.
I don't need that in my life.
Where were we in the world at that point?
Did?
No, it wouldn't have existed.
Oh, were we at Zanville existing at that point?
It did exist, but it's not on this calendar.
Obviously the location theoretically exists.
Okay, fine.
Harry, back to you.
Can you complete the board?
Suzuka.
Not Suzuka?
No.
Must have been like, were there an 87?
Yeah, we were.
Right, yeah.
I guess it was the last year without it.
But no, it's not Suzuka.
So back to you, Sam.
Can we find this elusive answer?
Well, I think I have an idea.
The issue is this, I don't want to say anything
in case I get it wrong, but like, right, goodness.
Yes, that's back and forth.
Yeah, this nation that I'm thinking of
has been on the calendar in multiple instances,
but like the track has had different names or layers.
I mean, if you give the right track a different name,
that would be fine.
Right, I'm thinking Austria is what I've gone,
but I don't know whether it's the A1 ring.
A1 rings fine.
It was just the Osterreich ring at this point,
but it's the same track, yeah.
Thank you, Osterreich.
Well done.
Congratulations to you both.
Didn't even need all of your strikes.
You still had a few to play with there.
Well done indeed.
I would say that's the end of the episode,
but it's not because we just have time for what I can only
really describe as the greatest segments in all of podcasting.
And it's time for the LB question of the week.
Harry Kane moment there, actually.
Sorry about that.
There we go.
Okay.
So we obviously focused on the Aston Martin upgrade,
and we were asking what is the secret upgrade?
What's that last little upgrade that they're going to bring
that's going to make all the difference?
Oh, God, I forgot.
Harry, if it's like a cough up like that.
Michaela on Instagram saying paprika-powered internal combustion engine.
That'll go.
That'll go some.
Good callback here from Jayne App, who said a stuffle,
not stuffle, stuffle Vandong will replace the
the aging Hons range with one from 2018.
I love the idea that stuffle is different character to stuffle.
I love the amount of stuffle Vandong written up and down these
up and down these comments.
One from Cameron, R2-D2 will be fitted right behind the drivers
and help to fix problems on the go.
Oh, I'd love a little drawing of the F1 car.
That'd be great.
Yeah, go on, R2.
They can shoot at each other.
This one's for you, Sam, but from Clayton on Instagram,
a seat on the rear wing for big downburns sit on.
They have one overtake, Max from the back.
Mate, that's brilliant.
They are making the weight limit with Dan Byrne on the back.
Use the man's head.
No, it weighs more than the earth.
Dan Byrne is a natural hero.
And I love that man.
Hand of life.
Full throttle calling has said,
though shaved off 15 kilograms by removing stuffle the waffle
from hiding in the engine.
He's a very light man and stuffle.
Yeah, this really made me laugh earlier from Oscar.
Dangle a grilled cheese sandwich over the front of Stroh's car.
Just a picture of him.
Just like, oh, trying to chase it as it goes away.
Oh, no.
Bryce on Instagram says, ejecto seat cus.
The cus in there really really makes it.
Sorry, Blake has just said,
hot dog holder for larks is snack time.
Why is there so many snacks for larks?
There's a lot of snack references.
Last one from me on X from Coleslaw Meemaw.
A nice soft pad on the steering wheel,
so Fernando can beat his head off of it.
Crikey.
Last one from me.
DG just says, 1000000000 dollars.
Of course.
Of course.
That's always the way to make anything better.
1000000 dollars.
Of course, this one from us,
which of course we'd make a better option.
Jordan said, remove larks.
Any one of the LB boys guaranteeing faster.
That's the one incorrect statement of this whole show.
I'm afraid that that wouldn't work.
But thank you very much to all of you for your answers.
Very much appreciated.
We'll be back with another question of the week very soon.
And we'll be back with more episodes,
of course, from the Hungarian Grand Prix over the weekend.

Original notes
It's the final chance for the drivers to make a statement before the F1 summer break. Can Russell wrestle the momentum back from Antonelli by taking victory? Are Ferrari genuine contenders this weekend? And what can we expect from Aston Martin's major upgrade package?
