And I'm Niall MotorMouth Jenkins and we're shifting into drive with the MotorMouth Morning Drive 8am, 6 days a week.
I think I've heard that before somewhere. Yeah, put that in the comments.
Well good morning and welcome to all of you who are brand new to the podcast channel.
You can find us on all platforms, Amazon, Apple, Podbean, you name it, Spotify, we're there, iHeartRadio.
Just type in the search bar, Car Connection Workshop, whatever podcast platform you're getting your podcasts from, you'll find us there.
So thank you for joining us this morning. You're going to need a 16 pack of Crayola crayons and a freshly pressed leaf bag.
That's going to be your Car Connection laptop, your MemoPad laptop.
Now if you don't have a co-pilot and you miss some stuff, it's okay. I got you covered.
All the podcasts populate to our YouTube channel each and every morning.
So at 8am when the podcast goes live on all the platforms, you'll find the episode already sitting there.
Yeah, how cool is that? That is really cool. That was a feature that I found out about and I worked hard on it to make that happen.
Happener and it's happening. So that's fantastic. You're going to need your favorite morning beverage so that we can have a swiggy together in about 45 seconds.
So if you're in the queue for the drive-thru, it is hump day. It's middle of the week.
And it's anything goes Wednesday. That's what I say. I'm going to be on the road for a little bit this afternoon and I probably will swing in to get my favorite beverage.
No, it's not a Timmy. Sorry. I can't drink that stuff. There's something in there. There's a molecule in there that doesn't like this model.
It doesn't like me. It's like cucumbers. I like them. They don't like me back. I don't know. I've sent them nice cards.
I talk nice to them in the grocery store. Hey, you. You're looking beautiful. Yeah. That's it. That's what they feel like afterwards.
I was like cucumber. Cumber. Another cummer. Anyways, let's not go down that road. Tell me in the comments, what are some of the foods that you just simply know that your machine, your body says no to?
Yeah. And even our cars do that. That's why we have service lights. Because I think if there was a fault code for, hey, you idiot, are you paying attention? What's wrong with you?
You know, I could probably create a whole pile of fault codes. Maybe I'll do that. I'll work on motor mounts, fault code system, how that would relate in your automobile if I put that together for you as the engineer.
Alright, let's engineer the homepage of the website, which is where you'll find everything on our homepage. If you'd like to follow the build and repair work that we do and connect with our program partners, because we would be able to do what we're doing right now without our program partners.
So we need them as just as much as we need you to. So thank you for giving them your business. I appreciate that. We both skip you and I appreciate that. We are working hard to get to our first 1000 subscribers.
We are at the halfway point and our hope is that we can be at 1000 subscribers by July 30. Okay, stop laughing. We can get there. How do I know? Because we're at 60% of you are not subscribed. Why?
I'm giving you stink eye over my glasses. Okay, just so you know, you're getting the stink eye. Why not? You're getting all the basic fundamentals of vehicle ownership and I'm helping you to save money on every single video teaching you the five things, what it is, where it is, how it works, how you broke it, and how we can prevent you from breaking it a second and third time.
That's saving you money and mileage doesn't matter. I'm teaching you that maintenance is going to get you to 400,000 kilometers, 600,000 with my friend Steve. I think he's closer to 800,000 on his Toyota 400. How cool is that?
It doesn't happen because you got lucky and you bought a good one. You got the good one off the line. No, it comes with understanding that it's a piece of machinery, not just a car, and that it requires maintenance.
And I'll tell you, the stuff the last six years coming off the assembly line, it needs more than maintenance. Yeah, it needs a baptism, holy water, and an exorcism. Yeah, that might be a good start before you even change anything.
My goodness, what's going on out there? It's kind of like, it's a touch of madness. Let me tell you. So remember, Friday's coming up. I need your questions by noon if you can help us out.
We're putting 82 hours a week in this thing to help you to reach, we want to reach more and more people. Let's see if we can't put the elastic around the entire world and reach people on the other side of the planet and teach them about their automobiles as well.
So let's jump in this morning. If you take care of that business, we're taking care of you top right hand corner of our homepage at carconnectionbusinessnetwork.com, ccbusnet.com is the shortest we got.
You have to call the guy that owns CCBN. Yeah, find him, call him, and smack him around a little bit. Nicely, like do it nicely. Yeah, he wants thousands for that URL, thousands. We're not talking thousand, thousands.
And I said, no, we'll deal with it. Shortest we got right now is ccbusnet.com for 31 years. You know what? It's like your favorite pair of blue jeans. Don't touch those and put those in the giveaway bag, or someone is going to be late for dinner tonight.
Just saying that kind of thing. All right, let's jump in this morning. Top right hand corner. Here we go. All the platforms are there. You have our YouTube channel. There's well over 500 and some odd pieces of information you can sift through and learn so much about your automobile.
Our YouTube channel, you do not need to be a brain surgeon, plumber, electrician, or engineer or spaceologist. I made that up. So you don't need to be that. Just need to be willing to listen and learn and do. And remember, the do does and the did is done.
So the top of the homepage, you got our, you can quickly click on all the links for our YouTube channel, Facebook, Instagram, and also Stevensville on the web.ca. That's a website or skippy put together that gets 20,000 visits a month connecting the businesses and community of Stevensville together.
Lots of that's a great place to hang out for a day. Lots of eateries. We got the big draw there is Safari Niagara. Take the grandkids, take your older kids, take the adult kids and go and play in the splash pad and then shoot a video and send it over to us so we can laugh.
Yeah, you got to do stupid things when you're on the in your loud. Like it says right there, you know, you can do stupid things, dance, whatever, splash, roll around like a worm, whatever, you know, just let it go on the splash pad. That's that's okay to do that.
Because everybody has a camera. And then you'll get to see how you look afterwards. So anyways, we move on. We have our merch store. So people are asking thank you buy some merch.
And all the proceeds go to total freedom addiction campuses Canada and USA, where a new life begins every single day there and stand with Skippy and I and the crew.
And let's make a difference. Let's make a difference in somebody else's life that's been struggling with addiction. What do you say? So that's why we don't take any profits from the merch. We just give it right. It just goes straight and we don't even see it just goes straight to total freedom addiction campuses Canada and USA so
Check them out on our website. It's worthy of your time is view or someone you know is struggling with addiction and you know what age doesn't matter. I've seen kids seven years old addicted.
What's going on out there? It's not a pretty world. So we have to look at the rose and not the thorns, even though things are Canada is definitely not shaped like it was when I was 13.
Yeah, you can eat a bug and have a cola and be okay. Today. I don't know if I need that bug. So that's what we do with all our merch. You go into the store safely purchase stuff there and and buy and pay for your you got to pay for the stuff in your cart.
Okay, just saying and don't steal the cart. That's a problem. Just talk to Walmart. I see their cards all over town and I'm going. What are you doing over here? My goodness. Well, I guess if you need a hauler, you just grab whatever you can.
Anyhow, that's what we do with our merch. We have a number of things in there you can enjoy order your size your color whatever it is that you would like. If you don't have your car connection.
Morning beverage mug yet you should get them while supplies last and then take a selfie of wearing our brand our gear with pride and ship it over to us. I'd really like to create that wall of fame on our website car connection business network dot com.
That's where you can connect with our program partners and recommended businesses that I find that I really like and they want to be a part of what we're doing. We put them there so that you can find them too.
Nothing like getting a good referral, right? Am I right? Absolutely. You know, you go into a town, you roll in, you don't know the place, start talking to people on the street and you go.
Where? Where's the best place to go and eat around here? And they'll tell you. So then, you know, you're, you're in the know at that point and that's pretty good.
So last piece on our top right hand corners are I heart radio icon there that is what we call mother ship home base for our podcast but we are on as I mentioned we're on all platform so everything is there for you to connect.
All right on 321 we're going to say thank you to Mama Louise and her wonderful husband Earl Grant, Mr. and Mrs. Grant at City Auto Sales and Leasing. We have a place that we can call home when it comes to buying low mileage quality vehicles at fair prices.
Earl is a car enthusiast, let me tell you. I've known car enthusiasts. Earl is like way up there. He doesn't push, pull or drag any junk to the lot or into the building. If it doesn't qualify as low mileage quality vehicle, it won't be there.
And if you're looking for something specific and they don't have it, if it's out there, the resources they've created over 20 plus years, probably closer to 25 plus years off to check that, see where we're at.
It's great to know that we have someone watching out for us. So if the vehicles out there that you're looking for and they don't have it, if it's any good and it's a decent price, Earl will grab it for you and put that whole thing together.
So you have not experienced an amazing vehicle purchase yet unless you've been at City Auto Sales and Leasing. GTA is premier pre-owned auto store and we are truly blessed to have that connection because it's a freaking jungle out there.
And a number of years back I did an undercover thing with the OPP and we went into Toronto and we were filming these corner lots. Oh my gosh. What I saw these guys hammering out was, and I mean hammering out, it was unreal.
The trash they were putting lipstick on a pig, skunk on a mink coat and somebody's going to buy that after it's all been smashed and they're heating it and pulling it out and heating it and pulling it out with a chain and a tractor.
Folks, you can't believe it. So when I say we have City Auto Sales and Leasing, we have Mama Louise and her wonderful husband who's a car guy. Watch it out for us. That's the place to go.
On 321 you ready? Got your swiggy ready? 321 Still missing something today. What is it? I blended it the same. You ever had that? Make coffee and go, what is missing there?
One time I remember I was a, no, it was a band camp. One time I remember going through, drive through and I had like three hours of sleep and I thought I'll get an extra large. I need a bucket with handles on the side really.
But they didn't have that five gallon pail. So I get on the road. I take a swiggy. I'm like, what's missing here? Like take another swiggy. Really? I don't taste any coffee. So I pull off and I open the lid. It's hot water.
Okay. That's why I say when you're going through the drive through, I spent seven years on the road from like 6am till 7pm every day meeting with businesses to build the car connection business network.
I drank a lot of drive through and I drank a lot of lousy coffee because I can't do the Tim Ho thing, not even a teaspoon. If there's something in there that my machine just goes, you put that in here again, buddy, and you're going to have a very rough moment.
So yeah, then we don't want to go there. Thank you to Niagara Block at 5000 Montrose Road Niagara Falls, building Canada since 1931. Kathy, David and Dan are the next generation taking things over and doing a great job at helping people create a building.
Put that thing up. It'll be as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar. If you buy your pieces, parts that you need to build it. They make every cinder block, I believe, known to mankind there. Designer, extra designer.
They do interlocking brick. They have machines that create all this. It's crazy to watch it happen. It really is. From the initial products to these skids of cinder blocks, it's amazing.
I had a tour with David. Spent almost a whole Saturday there and I enjoyed every minute of it. It was so, so cool. If you're looking to create that backyard space that you've always wanted, this is the family that you want to connect with.
They have gorgeous materials to create that space. You've always wanted to call your own, your outdoor living space. Hardscape, landscaping materials, they have it all. If you need an English walkway, they have that too.
They can put all that stuff together. If you need a contractor that you can trust to design and start the project, finish the project so that you can enjoy it with your family and your peeps, then you need to talk to Kathy Greenwell.
She has a list of contractors that she can say, this guy and this team, they'll get it done. Check in with them. Let's take a look at our weather today. I've been outside already. Wednesday is a busy morning. It's curb day here on the south shores of Lake Erie.
It's out to the curb, packaged nice and tight and right with bows on there. We'll see if they take it all. The can's a little heavy today. I'm just saying. I don't know why it is. We've cooled down a bit. Let's go in and see what's going on.
Precipitation. I don't know if you got precipitation yesterday. We had some hairy, scary looking clouds come over several times and lightening and rain coming down like a shower head straight down. The rain was heavy.
So today on the rainometer, we have 0.4 of an inch, 58 degrees right now. Partly cloudy. Wind is making it feel cooler, about 52 degrees. Sunny conditions from 6am to 7am. So catch it while you can.
And with mostly cloudy conditions expected around noon today, today's temperature range is from 58 to 71, but it's going to feel more like 51 to 70.
Yeah, like the shorts. I'm going to make it through. I'm pushing through. I'm not liking the pant leg thing right now. I have to go to a wedding next month. Can we just buy a nice set of pants?
Yeah, I've gone through the wardrobes and peeled everything out. I did. I sent somebody in there. See that mess? Can you fix that? Like deal with it?
Oh yeah. Yeah, you can park a car in there now. Today 58 is going to be our low. Our high is 71. So I mean we've really dropped 15 degrees at least. Yesterday we pulled a 69 overnight low and a high of 76.
So going to feel a little bit, but you know what? It's a reprieve from the steam heat. And if you're on vacation, hopefully the weather's nice wherever it is that you are. Let us know where you're listening in from as well.
We have another motor mouth summer tech tip coming up brought to you by the certified financial planners, Tony Miele and Larry Tietro. 50 years experience as fiduciaries. And have you booked that discovery meeting yet? Still putting it off?
Okay. Just keep doing it your way. That's the definition of insanity because it's not that we plan to fail. It's that we fail to plan and we do opinion polls. Just like I see it in the neighborhood here. Not so much anymore because they kind of figured out what I do.
And now people are like looking for me going, Hey, you got a moment? Yeah, what's up? My service lights on. Oh, just replace the fuel cap in the oxygen sensor. Oh, that's what my neighbor said. And we did that light still on.
Oh, that's amazing. Yeah. So those are kind of conversations we have here. So number 19, mind that alignment. Well, this morning, let's dive right into it. I can't be here all day. It's not the shopping channel, but by all means, merch store ccbusnet.com go buy something.
Please. Yeah, let's help somebody beat addiction. It's crazy out there. What's going on? Let me tell you so visit total freedom addiction campuses on our website and you check them out. Check them out and click right through to their website and watch the testimonials and take some Kleenex with you.
Life's changed there. That's what they do for 25. I think 27 years now and they've got a campus out in Manitoba and they're they've got one down in Tennessee, which is also a treats retreat center as well for couples that you don't need a little tune up.
Mm hmm. Yeah. All right, let's jump in. It is another edition. This is the grand finale. The grand formaggio. The
total of three parts. This is part three. And this is a very important component to your breaks. And the reason I left it to last is because it's usually the fella. It's usually
and I'm just I'm not the message. I'm just the messenger because I would hear it in my shop from the ladies. Well, my husband said
we don't need to use the parking brake. It's an option. Oh, really? Yeah, don't get a job at NASA. We don't want everything falling out of the sky all at once. All right, so get you guessed it. That's number one on the five things today and you're going to learn just how important the parking break and I'm calling it the parking break. You can call it emergency break, set break,
the do dad, the do Hickey, the thingamabob. I'm calling it parking break. That's it. I'm staying with that. You know, for all the others. Well, you know, we call it and I'm like, you can call it whatever you want. The thingy, the do Hickey, like I said, the what's it?
The thingamabob, it to me, it's the parking break. It actually is the emergency break when all else fails. But most of the times, it's called a parking break for a reason. And we're going to discover what that is together. So if you don't have a co pilot, you can listen
and re listen on our YouTube channel, Nile Motor Mouth Jenkins. You can find me very easily. Just go to the homepage and click on the link. You'll find us. We're there. We're making waves. The algorithms are loving on us a whole lot more. I notice when I open my phone that our thumbnails are there. I'm looking at myself going, whoa.
E Gads, man. Where did that come from? All right, parking break number one, number two. It is a major player.
So listen up. You thought I was going to give you the whole answer on number two. No, no, not going to keep you in suspenders. So number one is what parking break?
This is the grand finale of the break tutorial tutorials. Say that part three. It's a major player in your vehicles breaking system. Well, which one? You're probably asking which one? Like which wheel? The back wheels. So listen up.
You say or hubby says or someone I'm going to say someone in your household says not a nest, not necessary.
Parking break is not necessary. Not parking break is not necessary. Right. Okay, it's not necessary. However, I'm going to put a fly in the ointment this morning. Ready?
Your vehicle is not safety to be on Ontario roadways without the parking break functional. So it will fail a safety inspection. So if it's not necessary, you say it's part of a safety inspection.
So imagine this. I did talk about it. I think it was yesterday or day before that when we were doing school buses that were no longer school buses, they were hauling children to programs and inner city kid programs.
And was people's church on the Hamilton mountain? Huge. They had a huge bus ministry. But anyways, we looked after those buses and every six months they had to have a break inspection. If the parking break doesn't work, it doesn't get a sticker, a six month sticker.
If you're safety and automobile, and you're passing it to someone else, if the parking break is not working, it doesn't pass the safety. So that person that says, oh yeah, parking break is that's not necessary. I don't have time for that.
It's not necessary, you say. Okay, that's number three. Number four. Let's talk about it. Yeah, let's crack that open. And I am going to sew up the myths about whoever that is that says it's not necessary.
Did I give you number two? I don't think I did. Maybe I did. It's a major player. Just so you know, the parking break is a major player in number five, the performance, not an option of your rear braking system.
I had a vehicle in last week and finished it off Friday, Saturday, I can't remember. But it was a long job. And I'm laying underneath. And I'm just kind of looking the vehicle over in case I see stuff. You know, I always like to I spy and let you know, let people know, even though they're not asking me to do it, trying to give
them a heads up, you know, like the driver's side headlights not working, you might you might want to get on that before an officer pulls you over on a very busy day getting to work and says, you have a light out.
I do. Yeah, driver's side. You're a one eyed bird. I'm giving you a warning, but you're going to have to come down to the detachment with an invoice that shows that you've had the the headlight taken care of. Yeah, so it's time.
Yeah, you don't you don't want to go down that road. So anyways, the wiper blades, I lift the wiper blades, and one is like got pasta hanging from it. That's the blade itself part of the blade is hanging down like some kind of rotten pasta.
And so I thought I better have a look underneath so I roll around underneath and I go Oh, oh my goodness. The part there's no possible way the parking brake works on this ride, because it's not even attached to the front cables rotted right off.
Like I mean, it's missing the front cable is rotted right off. And the rear cables were partly sticking out on each side, which means at some point somebody decided to use it. The cables came up, but they didn't go back.
So I managed to push them back. But I let the customer know the client I said, you know, thank you for lending us your vehicle. But you need three things. And that's what I that sticks out to me, you know, wiper blades both sides.
A projection headlight driver side. And I even looked it up and gave him the part number trying to help them out a bit. So we can get them online, you know, at the jungle website. And I said your parking brake.
It doesn't work. Oh, it doesn't work. Yeah, It doesn't work, you say, I go, Yeah, it can't. Well, why not? It's not attached. I said, Yeah, it's rotted off.
Oh, really? And I go, Yeah, so if you're like, I notice, you know, got a trailer hitch and stuff on there, all the gear. If you need it, it isn't going to work. Yeah, somebody would have to go underneath and manually pull the cables, but they're probably not going to release.
So you're going to pull a starchy, starchy and hutch. And your vehicle is probably going to go sideways a couple times. So how does this all work? Then if that person that says not necessary, it's a, you know, if you if it's there, if you need it.
Well, it's not. That's not how it works. So this is where I'm going to, I'm putting on my teacher pants now. And the hat. And yes, I have the, the ruler to just so you know, it's not like my theater arts teacher, Mrs. Bedwy.
She had a table leg and a hammer. Can you imagine that in school today? She's paying that table leg on the on a desk and just about me all peed our pants. Yeah, that was that was our art school arts class. Yeah, theater arts.
Yes, it's probably long gone. So I'm safe to say that. Anyway, you need to use your parking brake every single time you park the vehicle. It is a must. So tonight around the dinner table, ladies, I know you own the show pretty much.
So car connection. So good for you. You got you gals ask some dynamite questions for Saturday's Q&A. It is a necessity to your rear braking systems performance. Period. How many of you know that? It's not an accessory that you can say yay or nay.
Well, that's broken. I'm not fixing that. Yeah, I need the emergency pizza and wings and a pitcher beer program more than I need the emergency break. Not true. You're going to have to cancel the time with the fellers. You need the parking brake to work in order for your rear brakes on your vehicle to perform well.
There are some systems where last year I helped a recent widowed lady. She didn't have the money and the parking brake system. You can watch that video. It's on our YouTube channel. It's a Dodge Ram four wheel drive heavy duty.
And the emergency brake system was non existent. It was all rotted. You'll see that. Watch that video. And that's not the first one. That's just one of the brake nationals last year. And this is the first one that I've seen this year where the parking brake hits. It's clearly rotted right off.
And if you need it, if it's not part of your rear brakes that keeps them adjusted and functional fully functional on 90% of vehicles out there right now, the rear parking brake is what creates the performance of your rear brakes.
So if you're not, if you're not using it and maintaining it, take a look at that video of that. I think that was a 2,500 series Dodge Ram, the behemoth of a truck. It was huge. Some of the tires. And so, yeah, you'll see all the parts in the wheelbarrow.
Yeah, that was what I did with everything. I just threw it all in the wheelbarrow and then I shot a little video on that to go with the video. So you might want to take a look at that. That'll give you a really good idea. And then you can show that to your hubby that says that the parking brake is not needed.
It's, it's a delete system. You know, if you use it great, if you don't use it doesn't matter. It does matter. It matters 100%. It needs to be used. It needs to be functional. Otherwise, the rear brakes are not working properly at all.
If any, because in a lot of cases, and I said 90%, right, I didn't say 10%, 10, about 10% of vehicles out there. There's a separate set of brake shoes that are hidden behind the disc brake rotor. And that's your emergency brake.
But here's the problem. Go and watch the video on the YouTube channel about when we had a vehicle sent down. That was the 08 Nissan Rogue. You're going to want to watch that video. We'll clarify how important the rear parking brake assembly is. Okay.
That video will clear it up 100% because there's two systems that I'm showing you there from the 2500 series Dodge Ram four wheel drive pickup. The rear braking system on that is disc brakes. And there's now we have vehicles where the parking brake is part of the rear calipers where your brake pads are.
So in order for the rear brakes to be well adjusted so that your vehicle is stopping properly because it the parking brake adjusts the rear brakes.
So if hubby is correct in saying, oh, it's really not necessary, honey. Yes, it is. You're wrong. And you need to be educated on that. It is 100% a part of your rear disc brake system on 90% of the vehicles out there. If you're not using it every single day, then the rear brakes begin to seize up.
And number two, they're not adjusted. And number three, your front brakes are getting overheated because they're doing not just 75% of the braking. They're doing 100% of the braking time. And this is where it all falls apart. That's where I'm going.
This is the pivotal moment. This is the Rubicon. Yes, we have crossed the Rubicon with the parking brake. If it's not being used, you had better make that a number one deal to get it taken care of.
I'm going to leave you with some questions. When was the last time it was used? If you're not using it every day and you decide, oh, today's the day, you don't use that emergency brake until you have a check and make sure that if you apply it, it's actually going to release.
And if the system is actually working, and if it hasn't rod partly rotted off. So that's why I'm saying go and take a look in our YouTube channel at that 2500 series Dodge Ram four wheel drive heavy duty pickup.
And then look at the 2008 Nissan Rogue. The rear braking system was a freak show. Yeah, just based on the rear braking system alone on that vehicle, it probably should have gone to a YouTube to a you pull it wrecking yard to be harvested.
It was a living, breathing nightmare to bring it back to fully functional mode, and it does. And I drive that car every that vehicle every day. It was gifted to us and I decided, you know what, I'm going to rescue this thing.
It's clean inside. It's a good looking vehicle and there's no rot. Let's rescue it. It took a lot of labor to rescue it just on the rear brakes alone. So have a look at that and get your hubby to have a look at it and then get them to explain it you.
Why it's not an it's it's an option, honey, we you don't have to use it. Yes, yes, plus yes times yes divided by 3.14 whatever pi with a tangent of something else divided by equals yes.
So he's not correct. I'm sorry to say, ladies, that if it's your hubby that's saying that, I know, I'm really taking one for the team here for you gals. He's wrong. Again, just saying.
So if he doesn't want the parking brake working on his car, you just go all righty then. As for me and my ride, we will have a parking brake. So here's the thing.
If you think you're going to bust me on this one, follow me around or come and check with a flashlight at nighttime. Don't let the dog bite you or anything. If it doesn't let go, you can take it home.
You can look in any vehicle here on the lot that belongs to car connection and you will see parking brake is on.
If you followed me to just to go uptown to run some errands like at the $20 dollar store, look in the window, you'll see the parking brake is on.
Because the FJ, it needs the parking brake working for the rear brakes to work properly so that we can stop. The O8 Nissan Rogue definitely needs it to be working for everything to be safe and secure back there and parts aren't flying around all over the place.
Yeah, and the Beetle, yep, that one and the Rocket 99. Handbrake works 100% and you'll see that it's on too.
And if you followed me around all day, every day, if I'm in the car tooling around doing appointments and whatnot, every time I park, you will see the last thing I do before I leave the vehicle is the parking brake is on.
That's where I bring the big question this morning on the grand finale.
Yes.
Why am I using it?
Hmm.
Why would I just say all that if it was only an option using the parking brake? Why would I say that?
If it wasn't probably?
Yeah.
So I leave you with that.
It's tonight around the dinner table.
Just say, hey, Hubness, explain me something, Lucy, about how the parking brake is not a necessity.
Well, number five says it is, necessity to your rear braking system's performance, not an option.
All right, let's jump into today's motormouth summer tech tip brought to us by our certified financial planning professionals Tony Miele, Larry Tietro.
Check in with these guys.
Don't be drowning in debt.
Don't be having a useless investment at the bank.
Not working hard for you.
They're making a ton of money off you.
You're getting a Ziploc bag.
That's the best way for me to explain that.
There's a good visual for you.
Oh, here you go.
That's your share.
Oh, it's quite a bit.
Oh, let me, I should take that quarter out.
Yeah.
Okay, here you go.
You can take that.
You don't want that stuff happening.
You want, when you go to bed and you wake up in the morning, that money got bigger.
That's what you want.
You want the debt to get smaller.
You need a full blown estate plan so that you are a health proxy for your 18 year old kids living at home.
You can check me on that.
You can fact check me on anything.
I love it because that's where you're doing your own homework.
Mortgages, never with a bank ever again.
Done with that.
IG Wealth Management, the mortgage ladies out in Winnipeg are fabulous.
And definitely, definitely got fantastic rates.
Yep, definitely.
And more, if you don't have any life insurance or critical illness insurance,
that's not something you can sign up on the spot when things go south.
So book that hour in a coffee, a discovery meeting, leave all your monies at home.
Nobody's selling you anything and they're going to listen and see how they can help put things together for you
and in perspective and clarity so that you do have a budget to fix your car.
You do have a budget created to purchase the next vehicle and move forward.
So thank Tony Miele and Larry Tietro.
I've known them 20 years plus.
They're my brothers for other mothers.
And I'll tell you, they're there to help you.
These guys are going to retire out soon.
They don't need any clients whatsoever.
So if you want to work with somebody on their team, they can arrange that for you.
And I would suggest you do that.
You need a coach.
Everyone needs a financial coach.
Why?
Because you suck at it.
That's it.
That's the bottom line.
Your plan does not work.
Your neighbors doesn't work.
If their feet aren't where you want to be, guess what?
Their plan doesn't work either.
And it's sad because people don't want to see other people get ahead of them because it makes them look bad.
That's the reason they'll tell you.
That's why I have my team.
When I have an idea, I run it by them.
I call them the negative Normans.
We have coffee and I go, I got an idea.
I want to run it past you, fellas.
And then they, I'm waiting to hear, I shut up at that point, tell them what my idea is.
And then I wait to see if they go, bone and mouth, that's the freaking stupidest idea I've ever heard you come up with.
Thank you.
I got to go, gentlemen.
Bye.
That means it's going to work and it always has.
So you want to hang out with people that are going to help you.
Well, here it is.
Mind the alignment.
I leave you with this on a Wednesday.
Motor mouth here.
If you're steering wheels off center or your ride pulls left or right, don't ignore it.
Summer road trips plus bad alignment.
That's a recipe for uneven tire wear and sore arms.
Get it checked.
It's usually a quick fix that can save your tires and your sanity.
Very important to have alignment, four wheel alignment, at least once a year to make sure that all your steering geometry is in the top drawer.
And it is tight and right and ready to perform for you because tires aren't cheap.
Amen.
I've seen the numbers out there.
These little profile tires.
Well, I remember the days.
I'm not going to say that they were a lot cheaper and they were still good quality.
Always drove on Michelin's made in France and then I never bought any cheapies because rubber, the rubber, the distance between the edge of the rim and the road is your safety net.
That's your insurance that you're able to quickly maneuver the vehicle and avoid somebody else's nightmare and get the heck out of dodge if you know what I'm saying.
And on cheap tires and bad suspension and steering, that is not going to happen.
So till tomorrow, come and join us again for another MotorMouth Morning Drive.
Love having you here.
I hope it didn't hurt you too much, but there's a road test tonight around the table around the telly.
Have your man explain to you why the parking brake is not necessary.
And get back to me.
Shoot me an email.
Nile MotorMouth Jenkins or motormouth.jankins at gmail.com.
You'll find that information in all the descriptions and then some.
I always put extra goodies in the descriptions of the YouTube videos and the podcast.
We'll see you tomorrow morning for another edition of MotorMouth's Morning Drive.
Happy healthy motoring.
Watch out for the other guy.
Peace, patience, kindness always.
We'll see you in the next one.
Bye for now.
