Tesla is still really struggling in Europe
down by 40%.
Now these are July's numbers
and we're gonna get a lot of August stuff coming in.
But now everything's in the books.
July was another really bad one
between 30 and 40% depending on which area
of the region you look at.
Losing out to BYD of all companies
who had 13 and a half thousand vehicles sold in July
in the European region,
including the UK and the free trade zone.
And so that's 200% up for BYD
whilst Tesla down by almost half.
Looking forward to seeing what they are gonna do
to juice those sales in the second half of the year.
One of those things is gonna be
the Model Y performance.
Now confirmed by the way,
for Europe and the Middle East to begin with at least.
Dual motor, all-wheel drive, 460 horsepower,
0-63.3 seconds.
Tesla's always gone quick in a straight line
but going around the bends,
well they say, yeah, we fixed that.
We're working on it.
Model Y now gets the Model 3's adaptive dampers.
Calibrated though for the Model Y 21 inch alloys
and a bigger screen inside.
16 inch screen, the highest resolution panel
they've put in the car.
This made in the facility in Brandenburg near Berlin.
Tesla has launched Full Self Driving Supervised
in Australia and New Zealand.
Entering right hand drive markets for the very first time.
The regulatory approval was happening a few weeks ago.
Now they were talking about it
and so looks like that's finally entering
the market down under.
Initial reviews from the automotive press
who were lined up to have a go in it
have been largely positive.
General Motors is temporarily lying off 360 workers
to the lines that make the Hummer
and the Cadillac Escalade IQ in Detroit.
Doesn't affect Silverado and Sierra EVs.
SAIC's MG has launched the all new MG4
including one of the trims with the semi-solid state battery.
This vehicle starts at $9,500 equivalent in China.
They've restyled it as well from the very popular MG4
that we have over here.
12 Ultra Sonics, four 360 degree surround view cameras,
eight megapixel front camera,
and even a rear camera as well for loads of autonomy.
In the UK they've closed a bit of a loophole
which was open with the new Grant scheme.
You see, as long as you've got one of your cars,
if you're a car maker, on the market for 37,000 pounds,
as long as the battery was the same,
then you could have higher trims, well over 37,
and still get the new government grant for all of them.
Well they've closed that loophole,
they've capped it at 42,000 pounds.
That affects vehicles like the Aria
because the top trim was 44 and a half
still getting the discount it won't now.
The European truck and bus manufacturers
are moving zero emission.
The CarMake Association over here saying at least 45
zero emission truck models are now available
and 20 zero emission bus models available.

Ukraine saw a 40% surge in EV imports
in the first half of 2025,
despite what the country is going through in Ukraine.
They were importing a ton of cars,
a lot of used ones as well.

Well 40% of their used EVs are coming
from the United States.
