SMART will bring back their small two-seat ultra-compact cars.
After killing off the SMART 4.2, they're going to be back with the SMART number two,
or the hashtag two, as I think they want me to call it, but that sounds very 2015 Twitter, if you ask me.
However, some cool cat around the boardroom at SMART has gone,
hey, all the kids are about hashtags. Let's call the car the hashtag two.
Okay. SMART plans to launch three new models in total for those cool kids.
So all about the hashtags. Can it recap to the legend of the SMART 4.2?
I'm so excited about seeing what they do with this. I love vehicles like this.
However, what about family SUVs? Well, the new Kia EV5 has gone on sale in the UK at 39295.
So not low enough to be in the new government grant, but lower than the luxury tax threshold at 40K.
This is right in the wheelhouse of a Model Y ID4 Aria buyer.
Go and have a look at the EV5. Big vehicle, but loads of tech for your money.
Honda is delaying their EV focus and will refocus on shabby hybrids.
Not their words in the press release, but come on, Honda, you can do better than that.
You've got some of the best engineering talent in the world. Stick a plug on the side of it.
The prologue selling really well, by the way.
Their first own EVs, as it were, on their own platform.
The Zero Series crossover and stands come out of their Ohio EV hub from 2026.
Tesla's European performance is a bit up and down. Actually, it's mostly down.
Down 84% in Sweden, France down 47%. These are August numbers, by the way.
Just to clarify, Denmark down 42%, Netherlands down 50%.
Careful with Tesla's monthly numbers, they can wobble around a little bit.
However, who was loving Tesla's last month in August?
Well, we've got some initial data out of Spain. Very, very good.
And Norway as well, it was up there.
BYD's profit is falling amidst an EV China price war.
As they might have to look abroad for more profits and lose a little bit at home.
Defender's EV prototype has been spotted. Land Rover will release the Defender.
Looking very much, by the way, in the pictures I'm looking at right now, like a Defender.
And that's good, because Defender buyers like the look of the Defender.
And so they've made it look exactly the same. And I love that look, by the way.
And so, EV power, 800-volt architecture.
Motors and batteries made here in the UK. Very much a UK-made vehicle.
Fiat's Grande Panda's gone on sale here. Got the UK pricing and specs.
Stars at 21.035, 44-kilowatt-hour battery, 200 miles of range.
It's a proper car, by the way.
And the best thing about the Fiat Grande Panda is all the little styling flourishes inside and out.
The bright colours, the little design touches inside that are there for no particular reason.
Stylish EVs at 20,000. Not the cheap stripped-down, decontented cars.
Just like the Renault 5, by the way.
This low-20s stylish moment is really happening.
And we had small stylish EVs like the Hondere before, but they were really expensive.
Fiat Grande Panda coming in at low, low prices.
The Silence S4 is going to be on sale in the UK through Nissan.
Or maybe it's the Silence, because they've been selling it in France.
It's one of these little quadricycles that kids can drive.
But this has got an 11.2-kilowatt-hour battery.
And the batteries are removable. And they go on wheels.
And you can take them into the office and plug them in under your desk if you want to.
They'll do 28 miles an hour, which is why this little Citroën Ami competitor,
which is coming to the UK next year, can be driven by 14, 16-year-olds on the continent.
You'll need a driving licence here, by the way.
Three battery giants are moving into energy storage.
LG, Samsung and SK talking about their power plays in Vegas this week.
Mercedes is ending the EQE early.
After four years, they're calling time on the EQE sedan and the EQE SUV.
And the Hyundai Arnick 3, we'll see that at the IAA show in Munich in the next few days,
will get CarPlay Ultra the first and cheapest car to get CarPlay Ultra
until now, early in Aston Martin's. That's briefly.
You can get your income, expenses and upcoming charges into one place,
