They finalize the dimensions of the next Ionic 3.
We're pretty certain it'll be called the Hyundai Ionic 3,
built in Europe on the 400-volt EGMP platform.
So why design a concept car after the actual car's been dimensionally confirmed?
Well, this is to give an idea of possible future directions.
This is very concept car-y, by the way, in terms of crazy screens inside.
And it won't look anything like this when the Ionic 3 arrives,
but the dimensions?
Well, that's very interesting.
A very popular family hatchback-sized car, Ionic 3,
should be coming next year.
Its proportions are the same, the art of steel design
reflecting the upcoming production car as well.
It's looking very sleek and concept-y,
but we're looking forward to that big car.
Now, Skoda's 7-seat Vision 7S will launch next year
as the brand's new flagship EV, using the VW MEB platform,
positioned above the ENIAC.
It features the modern solid design and targets families
with not too many Bev rivals in that segment.
A prototype Mercedes-Benz EQS,
equipped with solid state batteries from Factorial,
went 749 miles on a charge and it still had 85 miles left.
Why not run it down to zero?
The test pack delivers 25% more energy density
than the best conventional cells out there.
Now, with EV tax credits eliminated, Slate Auto,
you know, they're bringing that low-cost customizable truck.
Slate says new brands actually compete
without the subsidy barriers.
Slate plans a modular customizable electric truck
priced in the mid-20s,
and they say actually the lack of EV tax credits
has kind of opened up some supply chain for them
because more parts are available.

and that dropped to 59 days of supply
from 73 days of supply the previous month.
As dealers sell down ahead of tax credit changes,
hybrids remain scarce, though only 52 days of supply.
China set records in August
for passenger car production sales and exports
boosted by EV growth and strong demand for overseas sales.
EVs grabbed a record 98.4% share of Norway's August market.
What's the Bev share in Norway?
Pretty much the same, actually.
Plug-ins are at 98.4%,
Pure Bev's 96.9%,
so the rest is just plug-ins and some hybrids
and some petrol and diesel.
All rounding errors, really.
Norway is a done deal.
Test the Model Y leading the way.
Finance is an issue with EVs,
and France is adding a 1,000 euro incentive,
a bonus for EVs built in Europe with European batteries,
pushing the top subsidy to 5,200 euros.
Volkswagen will replace the ID.3 GTX with a GTI,
which is thoroughly sensible.
I've said this many times.
I'm a broken record.
If I was running Volkswagen,
I got some of the best names in the business,
Golf, Polo, Tiguan, and GTI.
Famous, like Porsches are still called turbos in the EV world.
GTX, interesting experiment.
Glad it's gone.
Just call them GTIs.
General Motors, Pilot and EV Go,
their joint EV fast charging network
has now passed 200 locations in the US.
And Tesla has launched MultiPass,
enabling charging at non-Tesla stations
but within the Tesla app,
starting in the Netherlands.
They're missing features like preconditioning,
but still very handy.
