The Nissan LEAF has got its US pricing and it's low.
No, it's low.
The base trim, 31,845 all-in.
That's with shipping, by the way.
Less than 30 grand before delivery and shipping.
So that's a 75 kilowatt hour pack,
160 kilowatt single motor.
EPA'd just over 300 miles, by the way.
That is gonna give the new Chevy Bolt with its LFP pack.
Looks like a Bolt EUV.
A bit of a headache, by the way.
Oh, and there's a smaller pack coming on the LEAF.
52 kilowatt hours, not 75.
So what's the price of that gonna be?
Well, they haven't told us,
but if it's 30K on the big battery,
man, this is exciting.
Nissan are getting really aggressive
with their headline price of the new LEAF
and it will launch in the US this autumn.
Ford are now making batteries in their Kentucky plant,
Blue Oval SK.
They're now making battery cells
for the F-150 Lightning and the E-Transits.
Kentucky one is the first factory there.
There'll be another one
and the third Blue Oval SK battery plant
will be in Stanton, Tennessee.
5,000 jobs, though, at this Kentucky one site
when it's fully scaled.
Kia is gonna make the EV4 in Europe.
The first one just rolled off the production line,
but I think series production will start
by the end of this month.
The Kia EV4 hatchback version.
There's two, you see, there's a fastback,
which is a foot longer, 30 centimeters longer,
different car.
I don't think it looks as good as the hatchback either.
And that's the one that the Europeans
are gonna buy, the hatchback one.
160,000 of them a year, Kia want to sell.
So that's why they're gonna be making it in Europe.
In Slovakia, California may replace
the federal tax credit, $7,500 for grand on a used EV
with their own funding.
The point of sale rebates or vouchers or other credits
now being discussed for when the federal funding goes
on September 30th.
Lucid's Gravity will make its European debut
at the IAAA Auto Show, the Munich Motor Show next month.
No details yet on pricing
or when they'll sell the gravity here.
EV public charging points now exceed one million
in the European Union.
As of July, we tipped over the million.
The majority, by the way, easily majority,
834,000 of them are AC public chargers.
The next generation BMW iX3 has been spotted
testing in China.
That's the first car on their Neue-classer platform.
iX3 will be built in China and Europe.
Royal Farms is installing ultra-fast chargers
at their Maryland stores, eight of them,
with Electrify America, the 350 kilowatts DC fast chargers.
The UK is lagging behind in e-bike adoption.
We are the second lowest per 1,000 people,
only ahead of Belarus.
Norway and Denmark lead the e-bike revolution in Europe.
The Fisker Ocean is now being seen driving around
New York City, the big lease company American Lease,
for almost 3,000 of them from the bankrupt Fisker
and the Fisker Ocean.
When you got 3,000 of them, you can use them for spares.
You can sort the software out now.
The individual owners are having a bit of a hard time,
I gather, but 3,000 of those in the fleet
now being leased to ride-hailing drivers.
Leap Motor launching their first nationwide TV campaign
called Take a Leap, showing a kitten about to jump.
A surfer waiting for a wave
and a couple about to kiss for the first time.
Take a leap into electric mobility, they say.
And GWR, the great Western Railway,
plan to break the world record
on a battery-powered train,
200 miles on their Western route.
And that's briefly.
Staple presents, that was easy.
So I'm opening a second location for my coffee shop this year.
I smell trouble brewing.
I needed to print new menus, loyalty cards,
window signage, so I went to Staples.
That'll cost you a latte, get it?
Uh-huh, actually, I saved $100 on my print order.
And everything looks amazing.
They'll grind my beans and call me impressed.
Staples made it easy.
If your business needs to print, let's go Staples.
That was easy.
