Hertz is offloading some of their used EVs now on Amazon autos.
Mostly Bolts, by the way, in the Seattle area,
starting at 16 grand, going up to 20,
but there's a couple of grand of fees to go on top of that.
So a 22 grand bolt, not particularly cheap
when you consider it's been used by Hertz
and what people do to rental cars.
But maybe you fancy one of those
and Amazon are expanding their Amazon autos business.
Hyundai's introducing the Ioniq 3.
More details coming at the IAA show in Munich in the first week of September.
It'll sit above the insta, but below something like a Kona.
So think about maybe the low 20,000s vehicle for the Ioniq 3 in its smaller trim.
Couple of batteries as Hyundai and Kia tend to do, 58 or 81 kilowatt hours.
The 400 volt version of that platform.
Tesla is adding its own rentals at service centers
to ease the pain of people taking their Teslas in for out of warranty
or collision repairs and then having to do a third-party vehicle rental
while their car is in the shop.
$45 a day and Tesla will let you have one of theirs.
IRS is extending the EV tax credit eligibility.
As long as you've got a binding contract,
it's great to have confirmation of this.
We talked about it a little bit recently.
So get it all done by September 30th
in terms of a deposit paid, a trade-in sorted contract sign.
You don't actually have to have the vehicle in your driveway, as it were.
Haven't got to have the keys on you.
By close of business on September 30th,
the IRS will extend that $7,500 federal tax credit
and the foreground for used and the commercial credit
until the vehicle actually arrives.
Tesla is adding low power mode to their vehicles
and that date to the app means that if you're away from your vehicle
for a period of time, maybe it's left at the airport or something,
you can put it into like a deep sleep state
and those things that can use the energy like sentry mode
and summon stand by the high drain stuff,
also preconditioning on the air conditioning.
So that will all get turned off
and then you can turn individual things back on inside the app
if you want to and also probably set a state of charge
at which when it falls below, these features will be disabled anyway.
It's great. It's like mobile phones do that, don't they?
And so Tesla has in terms of phantom drain,
which is the name of what it's called when you leave your car
for a couple of weeks and you come back and the battery's gone down.
It's because there are systems running
and to be able to kind of shut it down, put it into a deep sleep state
or choose what you want is a nice quality of life improvement.
Chargepoint is rolling out Omniport retrofit for EV stations until now.
It's been on new Chargepoint hardware,
but now coming to existing hardware for any businesses
that want to upgrade their stations so that you just put in what vehicle
you drive in the app and then when you come to charge,
it'll unlock the correct one.
L.E.V.C, the company, what, the Julie company
behind the London black calves, they've got a minivan in China
called the L380, not been selling massively well.
So now they're looking to bring it to the UK
in both electric and plug-in hybrid forms.
It's a two plus two plus two six-seater, three almost five and a half meters long,
though, this thing, well over three meter wheelbase.
It's a chunky boy.
Australia is considering a new nationwide road user charge
based on how far vehicles drive to try and even the playing field out.
There's been some trials run.
Victoria got told to stop it.
They were trying to charge EV drivers for per kilometer driven,
could be a national thing.
And Nissan is confirming that their small version of the Renault Twingo,
the new one, is going to be called the Nissan Wave made in Slovenia.
Basically, an equivalent to the Renault Twingo as those two companies
still work together closely to save costs and keep prices down.
And that's briefly.

but nearly half gave up by February.
