This is Byard Winthrop, founder of American Giant.
I started this company because I was fed up with cheap clothes that didn't last
and companies that shipped manufacturing overseas.
We believed we could still make incredible clothing right here in the U.S.
with American cotton and American workers earning real wages.
That's what we stand for.

Looking around some of the European countries,
we've got some plug-in data from Germany.
35% of the new car market in December.
35% had a plug socket on up from about 25% a year before.
And it's about two-thirds, one-thirds in favor of BEVs.
In Sweden, it's almost 70% of the market is plug-in vehicles in December 2025.
And again, BEVs outnumber plug-in hybrids by about two to one.
Same in the United Kingdom, where 44% of new car registrations in December
had a plug on the side.
And again, BEVs are the dominant.
In fact, it was about 35% of the market was pure Bev at the end of last year
here in the United Kingdom.
So monthly data can go up and down,
but many of these European countries that I've just mentioned
are going full steam ahead on EVs.
Tesla's data came out as well.
They've really got a problem to solve in Europe.
Over the last two years, from January 2024 to January 2026,
their sales in 13 major European markets has halved.
49%, we'll call it 50%, down in just two years.
And everyone has the opinion on what would fix Tesla's falling sales in Europe.
But it is a big decline that they are going to have to get their head around
Genesis has entered France with only EVs.
GV60, GV70 and G80, that's the big saloon, following on from Italy.
A few days ago, Amazon's Rivian fleet now tops 30,000 EVs.
That's electric delivery vans.
And that is a big number, but they do promise 100,000 by the end of 2030.
So, you know, Amazon and Rivian have got to pull their finger around a little bit
and make another 70,000 if they're going to hit that target.
But either way, that's a lovely number of electric vans to be delivering
your parcels that you've ordered online.
DHL supply chain have these things called EV centers of excellence.
They've opened their 20th one.
I didn't know about these.
This one's in Slovakia, but they have them all over the world in China
and the USA and Mexico and South Africa.
And the OEMs can do testing there.
It's a massive facility that covers logistics and inbound and outbound
freight and battery manufacturers, suppliers and all sorts.
Fascinating, isn't it?
Rivian have set a bit more concrete details on R2 production
on their Q4 earnings call.
They say that they'll make about 25,000 of the R2s this year.
So still outpaced by their other vehicles, about 42,000 of the R1s and the vans.
So it's going to be a slow ramp of the R2 scale next year, they say.
Stellantis are in a bit of a bit of a spot of bother.
They've got to sell more vehicles in the US.
Currently sell you an electric car in Europe.
We want to buy electric cars and there's plenty that they could sell us.
But Stellan's going to reintroduce diesel, not going to slow down EV,
but reintroduce diesel in seven European model lines.
Is that a good idea with tightening emission standards and mandates?
And all the news I've just told you about about Europe going EV at quite a clip.
They're going to abandon their 100% bev target by 2030.
Suzuki are locking in the EVitara for Australia.
Two specs, a 49 kilowatt hour pack or a 61 kilowatt hour pack.
I like the little EVitara.
It's a great looking vehicle.
Pretty decent specs, depends on price.
They can bring in a $40,000 and it probably won't be a bit more than that,
which is about 28,000 US equivalent.
Then they can have a hit on their hands.
And once again, Volvo or sorry, Volkswagen ordered back to court.
This time, a French criminal trial date of that could be set for 2027
over the ongoing legal process to do with diesel gate.
Ten years later, let's just go EV.
The holidays are expensive.
You're paying for gifts, travel, decorations, food.
And before you know it, you've blown way past what you were planning to spend.
