Germany is setting up a fight over 2035. Germany's Chancellor announced a plan to ask the European Union to formally roll back its aims to clean up the air by banning pure combustion cars.
Germany will now argue for allowing plug-in hybrids, combustion engine range extenders and more efficient conventional engines even after 2035.
They're potentially doing great damage to the improvement that's been done for the air quality for ours and future generations, our children as well.
And that does set Germany up as a head-to-head battle against other members in the block who are moving forward with clean air policies.
Volkswagen is struggling to hit their job cut target. Their main car brand is falling behind its own overhaul.
They wanted to reduce their job count, a goal of reducing 35,000 jobs in Germany by 2030. They should be losing about 4,000 a quarter.
According to the Financial Times have seen documents last month only 1,000 people left signed up to leave, really.
And the timing is awkward because Volkswagen is battling slim margins, a 5 billion euro hit from US tariffs, an intense competition from China.
The Ford Ranger is a plug-in hybrid and it's being updated with more tech inside, new trims and blue crews as well here in the UK.
France is keeping their EV purchase subsidiary called the Bonus Ecologique in place until the end of 2026.
It's not an exact amount. It's tied to the market price of energy savings certificates and so that price can move.
But for lower income households, getting around 5,700 euros off at the moment at least of a brand new EV.
Hyundai is expanding their vehicle to grid and vehicle to home services in Korea, Europe and the United States
with two projects in Korea and Europe set to be onboarding those customers by the end of this year.
And Renault is launching vehicle to grid for Dutch EV drivers in the first half of 2026.
But before the end of this year, again the pilot will be up and running with Renault vehicles fitted with special vehicle to grid ready onboard AC chargers.
Tesla's Gigaburlin, the manager there, the Berlin plant manager Andre Teary telling German news agency, TPA,
the factory has been running two shifts since September. To keep up with extra demand, they now export to 30 markets including
Tesla's made in Germany now go to Canada because of tariffs.
Tesla's sales slump though is causing some investor headaches of how to classify Tesla these days.
The decade long growth story of being an automaker is being eroded month by month.
They're down in China, down in Europe to the year.
And after having a good September because of the exploration of the tax credits in the US,
October was down even more and they should be down 7% for car deliveries globally this year.
But as their chief executives pay package is reliant on a relatively small number of vehicles sold,
actually less than the annual number they were selling in 2024 with bigger targets for his trillion dollars based around robotics and AI.
Investors scratching their head do we even think of Tesla as a car company these days they're asking.
A huge new battery plant is rising next to Nissan's Sunderland factory, the global cell maker AESC,
switching on 15.8 gigawatt hours of capacity in this country.
Fiat is cutting its entry price of the panda to 21,000 pounds.
