Norway is pretty much job done. An amazing November.
20,000 new passenger cars were registered. 19,500 of them.
Purebeth. Not even plug-in hybrids in that.
The remaining 500 or so cars, I tell you just a near 400 in fact,
all combined combustion cars less than 1% of the market.
Bev's 98% of the car market. The jump is sharp even by Norway standards
and this looks set to continue in December
because people are bringing forward purchases because of tax changes.
The UK is extending its EV grant. This has been widely under-reported this week.
Most people got quite interested in the pay-per-mile charge coming in from 2028
but missed the fact that the budget this week
increased the funding for the grant scheme with an extra 1.3 billion pounds.
Now 2 billion pounds in total put in to that money off of a car.
It's the Citroën EC5 Aircross, the Ford Itoneo, Ford Puma, Nissan Leaf.
Other ones, they get the top tier, almost four grand off the car.
However, there's almost 40 cars, 39 models actually qualifying for some sort of discount.
Alpine is locking in electric launches.
The new Electric A110 with that petrol car goes electric next year
and a new A110, that'll be a grand tourer.
Fiat say that they will work on an ultra-low cost car
that's in fact fits under the quadricycle, heavy quadricycle rules in Europe
as they hope that regulators bring in something similar to Japan's K-Car rules
where it's capped on the vehicle's unladen mass, not including the battery,
and that costs and taxes can be kept extremely low,
even lower than the maybe 15,000 that the Leap Motor T03 costs
or the Dacia Spring, currently the cheapest cars you can get with pure electric power, brand new.

Nevada is starting a 12 month look and investigation into why grid connections
for medium and heavy duty charging stations are being delayed in the state
and it's very important work that's being done.
They want to work out where are these projects getting stuck,
studies, permitting, construction or somewhere else.
Data will have to be gathered from 2026 on every project
and analyzed to work out why grid connections not happening faster.
Nissan's new leaf is returning, getting a rave review this weekend
by the well-regarded car journalist Steve Fowler, writing for The Independent,
giving a very good review, saying a British bill TV that we should be proud of
and yet another study this time, 127,000 plug-in hybrids were studied
and looked at just how much they are emitting.
Plug-in hybrids, according to the official data, cut 75% of emissions
but because they're never plugged in, it's only a 19% cut in emissions.
That's briefly.
