True V4 supercharging is coming.
Construction is underway in California.
This is where you pair the brand new Tesla cabinets.
They're the big gray or beige units.
Often you see set back a little bit
from the EV chargers we use.
They're the new V4 versions.
They can dispense 1.2 megawatts of power.
It's split amongst eight dispensers or stalls,
the actual bit that you and I touch.
They're the new V4 tall ones from Tesla
with the longer cables for other cars
with the charge points in the different places
around the car.
Add those two things together
and that finally unlocks 500 kilowatt charging.
A majority of Canadians would agree
with lowering or eliminating the 100% tariff
on Chinese EVs if China reciprocates
by getting rid of the new barriers placed on Canola.
Well, from the perspective of living in a country
that doesn't have Chinese tariffs
or import taxes following like the EU did
on top of the 10% import duty.
We have a lot of Chinese cars on the road
and that's both good if you want to buy one
but also it increases competition.
So if you want a different model that's not Chinese
well they have to compete on that playing field.
So I think it works pretty well.
I'm sure there's arguments for keeping those tariffs
that the Canada Canadians followed the US into enacting.
Volvo unveiled the saloon sedan
top of their head, the ES90 with this incredible platform.
800-volt amazing new Nvidia chip,
loads of new safety and autonomy and AI
but then the existing car
which it's the sister of, the EX90
was always on this 400-volt platform
they weren't gonna upgrade it
when they unveiled the ES90.
Now they've said, right, 2026 model year
we are giving it the full beans to the EX90.
So ultra-fast charging, all the new 800-volt goodness,
all the new computers and by the way
if you've bought one in the last year
bring it back to the dealer
and we'll put the latest computer hardware in for you.
Holy bazookas, that's incredible.
Now, California is opposing the EPA rollback
of clean air standards in the United States.
The federal push to allow more emissions
is being resisted by California.
Loads of Aussie stories today, what's going on?
Australia is investing 40 million Aussie dollars
in 10,000 new public EV charges, that's great.
Also, more research saying that if you get rid
of the fringe benefits tax as planned
in the next couple of years
you're gonna be keeping a ton of EVs off the road.
Keep it and add plug-in hybrids in as well
to give you the tax benefits
and the fringe benefits tax can deliver real value
for getting EVs on the road.
Star Charge, BYD and Origin in Australia
are launching a new subscription
offering bidirectional charging.
They'll give you a BYD Ato3 for your pleasures of doing it
and a bidirectional charger on your wall as well.
Peugeot's new battery for the E3008 and 5008
also includes vehicle preconditioning.
It'll do it if you navigate to a charger.
You can do it manually as well from the touchscreen
from the app, I believe, plus vehicle to load
coming to those cars as well.
Three kilowatts of off-board power.
I don't know if you got a camping weekend
or just a power cup and you don't want the freezer to go bad.
Tesla in Canada has got a really amazing deal.
$5,000 off a Model 3 if you decide to buy one
in the next week, so end of quarter rush.
It's the way I always tell people.
They say to me, I want to buy a Tesla.
I go, unless you're urgent,
get all your finance ducks in a row
and wait for the final two weeks.
Now it's one week of a quarter
and you get some stellar deals.
Canadians have to have that a Model 3 in inventory
but there's a ton of those.
A Dodge Daytona EV driver, they've got a ticket
for being too noisy.
The police cop thinking it was a real combustion car
in Minneapolis says he still hasn't had his ticket yet.
I suspect that's been binned off and Exxon say
that they can extend battery life by 30%
with their new graphite.
