No es lo queavier en la noche,
pero la que es hacer,
sprinkle quizás,
pero esto,
no modeling e grilled.
Incendios.
I mean, a través de la mesa,
si hay un incendio, se pone otro $1,500 en el 1,000.
No he sido tan sorprendido,
necesitas llamar a mí primero
en thechase.com,
Hotline de Carpro, que es $80926,
$7777, $800,
$926, $7777.
Todd Chambliss es conmigo, como usual.
Sí, señor, feliz de estar aquí.
Y tú estabas hablando de
lo que te dices, el $1,500.
Se pide ahí.
Así que en el mes,
me hace pensar que no tienen
solo un montón de carros
que saben que tienen que mover
o están recortando los árboles.
Y se ve que tal vez
necesitan solo un poco más de puja.
Oye, ¿qué piensas?
Solo porque has conocido
esta industria para tantos años.
La inventoria es alta.
Ok.
O sea, con la excepción de Lexis y Toyota
y
incluso sus niveles de inventoria
son altos para ellos.
Pero yo no
seguramente no diría
que se estén extranjados.
Pero solo a todos los demás.
O sea,
en el show de Douse Fort Worth
que fue en
dos horas antes de
que empezamos aquí.
O sea,
hay un
hombre de clasico de Chevrolet
aquí en Douse Fort Worth.
Él es Brad Rover.
Ellos son el número uno de
los dealers de Chevrolet en América.
Y yo no quiero probablemente
hacerla de nuevo este año.
Oh, van a hacerla de nuevo.
Yo te prometo.
They've got 120
million dollars worth of inventory.
Es el número más grande
que he oído en mi vida.
Así que,
con la interés still high,
although we saw
some rate action this week,
another lowering of a half point.
That doesn't take effect immediately.
So what I would do is
is if I were you,
I'd really look at some numbers
right now and we've got some
great dealers at carpro.com
that will help you that will
walk you through it.
Don't wait until the last week
of December.
Go on and do it now.
The selection will be better.
There'll be more time to spend
with you that last week
of December is hectic.
I told my people
when I was in the car business
all those years,
we would have five
Saturdays in a row
between Christmas and New Year.
A typical Saturday
for us was a hundred cars
that we sold.
Yeah, we do that five days
in a row between Christmas
and New Year.
And if we didn't,
I wanted to know why.
Yeah, well, yeah.
And that's, you know,
hey, there you go.
Let's go to the phones.
All right.
K. J.
In Joshua, Texas.
Welcome down south of Fort Worth.
Josh, what can I help you with?
Yes, sir.
Well, thank you for taking
your time out to let me talk to you.
And you bet.
I've listened to you a lot on the radio
and and that's why I'm calling you.
So
the predicament we're in is
my wife had a vehicle
that got total during covid.
And so we got stuck
with purchasing a.
Higher end model Nissan or Mata.
And it's a great vehicle,
but it gets pretty bad
fuel mileage and.
Two, two years ago,
we bought a 2019 Chevy Suburban.
Yeah.
It used a really good vehicle.
The only problem we had with it was
the transmission went out.
We had that replaced under warranty.
And so we have four vehicles
right now. We're trying to get down
to three.
Yeah, I don't blame you.
Carlite.
We were right.
Well, we we have a 15
year old that's going to be driving.
We're going to have to get her car
in the next year.
So sure.
But what we want to do
is consolidate
and either look at another Chevy
Suburban or a Ford Expedition
and
because me and my wife
really like to Suburban.
We like the longer wheelbase.
Yeah, we do pull
a 16 foot cargo trailer
and also a 25 foot
bay boat.
And so I was really wanting
was the diesel Suburban
that's for World Drive.
I don't blame you.
That's a great rig.
And so we just are having a hard
time finding that particular
vehicle and
you know, just trying to find a
good dealership that can get it.
The two that we talked to
are well, we can't help you
because we're only allowed to get
you know, certain vehicles at
certain times and Chevrolet's only
allowing us to get this model
this month and this type of thing.
So you talk to
as I'm calling you.
Have you talked to Classic?
I have not.
OK.
Classic Chevrolet
Buick GMC in Klebern.
If you'll talk to Brian Carpenter,
he's my contact there,
you can find all his information
at my website,
carpro.com.
But talk to Brian Carpenter
and tell him I sent you.
He'll he'll be able to get one.
He'll probably be able to get one
from their big store in Greatvine
because they sell more Suburbans
than anybody in the country.
But talk to Brian.
He'll get you one.
That's a great idea.
Trade in two of those cars.
You'll be in great shape.
Very crucial.
This thing could be the right
choice for you or not.
Find out.

and it was longer than usual.
And sometimes that seems
to not work as well.
Interesting.

And my associated commentary.
Yes, which is worth the read.
Yeah.
You can tell from the tone
you have a little issue.
I do, I do.
I have a I have a real issue
with this list.
Yeah.
It's worthless.
So before you get too deep
into it, then I just want you
to know what it's all about.
Yeah.
All right, to the phones.
Barry in Kingwood, Texas
in the Houston area.
Welcome. Hello, Barry.
Yes, sir. Good morning.
Hi there. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you, sir.
What can I help you with?
I'm calling.
Bueno, a reason I'm calling,
I just recently
got an arrest with my 2018
GMC Canyon.
Tibones,
a Tolliotta Tacoma.
None of the airbags
went off in my truck
and I tried to
go to go to G.M.C.
and ask them about
any recalls
and they didn't have any.
I have to say
I can say good about
Tolliotta Tacoma.
Airbags did go off on that.
It'll go the furthest with fewer problems.
Depends on how long you plan to keep a truck.
If you want if you want something that'll do 300,000 miles, the Tacoma will do that
with just regular maintenance.
They're that good.
If you're looking for comfort and a good ride and a quieter cabin.
Then the Ranger of the Canyon are going to be better choices.
And look, they're both good trucks.
They'll both do 175 might get 200,000 out of it.
The Ranger to me is the quietest inside.
That's something that Ford does a really good job with.
So if that's a hot button, then you need to at least drive the Ranger
and see what you think.
I actually like the interior of the Canyon better.
But dollar for dollar, I think, you know, unless you're going to again,
try to try to make that well over 200,000, maybe even 300,000 mile mark.
I think I would I'd probably go with the Ranger.
But the Canyon and the Colorado would be right there with it as
far as no enjoyment and deals.
The deals right now are better on the Ranger.
Better on the Ranger.
I was kind of surprised to hear that they've done away with the B6 on the
Toyota Tacomas.
They only have the four cylinders.
That's what I think.
His name is Ryan and Fred, Fred Hoffs.
Yeah, he's one of the pro pro car dealers.
Yeah, Brian's a good guy, you know.
Yeah, they've they've gone away from the six.
The Rangers, a four cylinder as well.
But shockingly to me,
seventy seven hundred pounds of towing.
That's crazy.
That's so good.
I got good dealers for all of those berries.
The car pro Jerry Reynolds knows things you just can't know.
So Colin at one eight hundred nine two six seventy seven seventy seven.
Y.
And Connie, en Oregon,
you're up next on the car pro show.
How can I help you?
Oh, hello.
I'm driving a 2011 RAV four.
I bought it off the least
sale program and it's been a good car.
I love the car, but it's having some problems with there,
which they're having trouble diagnosing.
They said it was the gaskets and the spot plugs and they replaced all those.
They've had it three different days.
Now they're telling me it might be a problem with the head,
which they tell me will run me about four
thousand dollars just in the labor.
Yeah, that's true.
I mean, how many miles on it, Connie?
One hundred and sixty eight.
One hundred and sixty eight.
OK.
I think I think it's time to trade it off.
I don't want to see you put
what's going to end up being probably six to seven thousand dollars
into a vehicle that is 15 years old and coming up on 200,000 miles.
As good as the RAV four is
and it is, it's a great vehicle.
But I think that I think the the spending is just starting.
So I think you're going to get that fix.
Next thing you know,
something else goes wrong, transmission,
something, you know, in the rear end,
the expenses that you've got coming up are going to be expensive ones.
So I just can't make the case for for doing that.
OK, that's what I was wondering.
Now, I tell you to get another.
I tell you to get another RAV four.
It's a great SUV.
No question about that.
But you could look at Honda CRV as well.
It's been a it's been a really good one.
The Ford Escape is a great one.
The Chevy Equinox, one of my favorites.
So you got choices.
I just wouldn't.
If it's at a Toyota dealership getting worked on,
then I would tell you to talk to them about trading it.
And let's see what they can do.
I wish you luck and I hope you have a wonderful, wonderful Christmas.
When we come back
special treat for you, I've done another song.
Another song.
That's my second song that I've written.
And it's I'm going to play it for you when we come back.
And we'll go from there.
All right.
Whether you want an SUV, a truck or what is it called?
Oh, yeah, a car.

Puedes usar el dinero para trying to get an engine repaired.
Total engine change out and it cost them dearly for it.
So yeah, do your homework before you do something like that.
I could give her some lessons on vetting.
Because I'm really gonna.
You seem to be good at that, you aren't good at that.
Well, it's my reputation and apparently she's not thinking that.
Well, she should give you a call.
Well, OK.
You wouldn't mind that too much.
That would be fine.
All right, as promised, I've written another song.
Yeah.
This one, I wrote a few weeks ago and we had it in the newsletter afterwards, the 12 Days
of Carpro Christmas.
Everybody loved that, it was good, turned out, you were a huge help.
Oh, thanks, I'm glad I could be a part of it.
I noticed the phone didn't ring this week, though, it didn't really call me this week.
You're producer by trade.
Yeah, I am, I am.
I did this one by myself, I got my big boy britches on and knocked it out, wrote the words
and then put the music with it and it was, I wrote it because I'm intrigued severely by
the GMC truck commercials that they've run the same holiday commercial for five straight
years.
It's in the snow, it's a guy and a girl, she, he gets her a puppy for Christmas.
She gets him a new GMC truck for Christmas.
That's a pretty good deal right there.
But here's the thing, in five years, the puppy's never gotten any bigger.
It's a big dog, this dog should be 80 pounds by now.
We can't hold that dog, there's no we can hold that dog at five years old.
I mean, why, how about we do a new commercial next year, maybe with the dog grown up.
That'd be nice, like a big marmaduke dog.
And maybe get the guy a new truck, he's got a five year old truck.
Yeah, I mean, come on.
It's probably got 100,000 miles on it.
Easy.
So, all those things tied together intrigued me to the point of writing a song.
So without any further ado, here's an original song from the car pro show, same GMC, same
GMC, same holiday show, same puppy running like it's brand new snow, new truck's rollout,
every single year, but that dog's been a puppy half a decade here, I like the truck, I'll say
that twice, it looks just right, I won't criticize, but I gotta ask GMC, my friend, when's the
new commercial gonna roll in, who's driving that truck, I still don't know, it just shows
up like it heard the show.
I'm sure it's got super crews, works just fine, but his ageless puppy part of the premium
trim, same GMC, same winter seat, same miracle dog, same ever green drink, same ever green
drink, five years deep, five years deep, still running strong, still running strong, that
puppy's been young longer than most pop songs, I got a schnauzer named sissy at my place,
she aged five years, got a little mole gray in her face, she heard that whistle didn't
move an inch, that GMC dog's on a different bench, so here's the GMC still running it
back, same truck, same dog, same cinematic track, I'll keep watching, I got a nip,
but one of these years, let the puppy grow up a bit, be sure to listen to the car pro show.
How about that? That's pretty good stuff right there, you didn't need me at all. No, I didn't
on that one. Yeah, that was good, that was good. Well, thank you very much. I like that. I appreciate
that, it'll be a next week's free weekly newsletter, that'll be out next Friday,
and being the holidays, it'll be slightly abbreviated, but there'll still be all
the regular things in there, including our videos of the week, and speaking of...
I knew this was coming up today. How'd your video do?
Well, it didn't make the top five. Didn't make the top seven? No, it made the top eight.
Okay, okay. Earlier you gave me some advice on not jumping on a very timely
current video that everybody's already seen, that's what your advice was, right?
That was my advice. If the news is covering it, which they did. I mean,
I was shocked the first time I saw it. I thought it was a great video. It was.
Helicopter landing on a Toyota on the highway. That was an airplane. It was an airplane.
Airplane, okay, even better. Of course. Yeah, and I'm thinking,
this is going to certainly win it the hole for the whole week, and no, it didn't. No, mine,
I laughed at mine, unbelievably. I almost cried, I laughed so hard.
A guy at a car dealership, sales manager at a car dealership, calls to order a bunch of pizzas
for the staff. Oh, yeah. And apparently the guy on the other end of the phone at the pizza joint,
he must have been in the car business at some point. Sort of giving it back to him.
He got a taste of his own medicine, and it was funny. That's pretty good stuff.
That's the kind of stuff you get every single week. I had my end of year car buying tips,
and a poor lady in Phoenix who thought she was trading in a car that she owed a lot of money on,
but she didn't check her paperwork. Oh. So a really, really rotten dealer.
Not one of yours. No, that's why I don't have any dealers in Phoenix anymore.
They just parked her car out back, and now she's got a repo on her record.
Oh my gosh. Horrible, horrible, horrible.
Knowing the right time to trade is a huge thing right now. Ask the car pro, Jerry Reynolds at 1-800-926-7777.
Every single week, Jerry is looking and of course testing out vehicles. Many weeks,
two vehicles at a time, some weeks one depending upon what he's given. So my question is,
what are you driving this week and testing out? Well, I've had two this week. I've got the 2026
Mazda CX70. Oh, okay. Lovely, lovely SUV. Mazda does a good job with those. Oh,
my goodness, their interiors are fantastic. This is a big enough SUV to be three rows,
but it's only two rows. So you have plenty of space in the back. Oh, my goodness. Plenty of space,
cargo area, and plenty of room in the second row. Oh, that's nice. So it's just beautiful.
And it's for those of you who say, I ain't buying a four-cylinder SUV. Well, guess what?
This one's got a six-cylinder, an inline six. Kind of rare these days to find somebody.
Getting rarer. Yeah, 340 horses. This thing would get up and go. That's nice. I've also had the 2026
Ram 1500 Limited Longhorn with the Hemi. Oh, how is that thing? Oh, it's a beast. I'll bet it is.
The Hemi is back. Rumbles, huh? Thank you, Stellantis. Yes. Yeah, the exhaust on this thing
is awesome. That's awesome. Let's talk to Greg in Flower Mound. Greg,
welcome and thank you for holding, my friend. Merry Christmas to you.
Merry Christmas to you. What can we do for you?
So I'll preface this by saying my wife and I are about to enter into our new stage of our life
and that's retirement. Congrats. And thank you. We keep vehicles, like for right now,
I've got a 2009 Chevy Tahoe, 287,000 miles on it. Yeah. And I think it's probably
time for that thing to go. So we're looking for the next SUV for the two of us. We've driven
Tahoe, Suburbans, Explorers, Sequoia, all over 200,000 miles. So the whiteboard's clear.
We're looking for your recommendation. What's out there in the marketplace
that's going to get us kind of in that same ballpark, 225, 250.
You know, what's your thoughts? What's your recommendation?
Does it need to be as big, you know, comfort?
Does it need to be as big as the ones you've had?
In a perfect world, my wife would love another Tahoe.
But I thought guys about price themselves on the market almost seems like.
Yeah, they've gotten expensive.
But.
You know, I was going to recommend the RX 350 to you.
Because when I think of 250,000 miles, that's the first thing that comes to my mind.
And I mean, 250,000 miles without problems.
Not not even minor ones. The RX, I think, is the best SUV that's ever been made.
It's going to run you low 60s in the price, but so is the Tahoe nowadays.
Yeah.
And guess what? So is an expedition.
But now the expedition has really come along.
I mean, this new expedition is something really special.
Question is, you know, is it going to do that over 200,000 that you're looking for?
And I don't I don't know that I can say that with confidence.
And I certainly can't say.
Yeah, the expedition.
I certainly can't say it with the confidence I can tell you about the Lexus.
So, you know, I if you're not just totally opposed to it,
I'd tell you to get over to Park Place in Plano, Park Place, Lexus and Plano,
and talk to Chris Brunner, the general manager and drive one.
See what you think.
I'd personally I'd personally go with the hybrid.
You'll it'll pay for itself in within a couple of years with increased fuel economy.
But you also get increased performance.
So the deals right now are unbelievably good on everything.
But let's let's start with that Lexus RX 350.
Or if you go with the hybrid, the 450H, Chris Brunner,
different of mine, take amazing care of you.
If that doesn't work, then let's talk again before the end of the year.
So you want to trade or sell your car?
Find out how to get the most money by calling Jerry Reynolds, the car pro,
at 1-800-926-7777.
Well, it's time for the happy listeners report.
It's a folks who have listened to Jerry, followed his advice to the T,
have these great stories to report back from Philip.
Of course, he lives in what he calls a car pro dealer desert in El Paso, Texas.
And he was looking for a brand new vehicle.
He was not having luck with anybody in El Paso.
So he finally said, well, who is the closest dealership I can talk to?
That's one of Jerry's because he listened to the show and he said,
I'm going to try Jerry's way.
So he did actually talk to Chuck Sherman over at Covert Chrysler Dodge Jeep and Ram.
Called it a Sunday night.
First thing Monday morning, Chuck is on the phone with them.
He said he never got that kind of response in El Paso from the dealers there.
Then he said by nine o'clock, which was 30 minutes later,
he had an out the door deal for a brand new grand Cherokee.
He says that it's an awesome experience to work with.
They got all the Jeep rebates, the discounts, they throw on top of that.
Of course, everything was explained back and forth.
They saved thousands compared to the monthly payment offers from the El Paso dealers.
They said the Chuck's price was much better for new.
Thank you car pro.
My daughter in law loves the grand Cherokee and I can't thank you enough.
So he traveled 500 miles to 500.
A honest deal.
So it's not somebody right around the corner,
not somebody even in his town, like a road trip, 500 miles.
Yeah, we've never even been on the air in El Paso.
I don't think so.
Apparently he listens online.
I guess he does.
Well, you can do that every Saturday from 11 to 2 central time
by going to carpro.com and click listen live.
We've got two more hours to go.
We got lots of ground to cover.
You can call in any time between now and 2 p.m. central time.
Even if we're not on the air in your market.
But we would love to help you.
Two more hours of the car pro show coming up.
If you bought a car you thought you'd love,
but now you want to push it off a cliff.
