When I was first diagnosed with wet AMD, my world felt smaller.
I worried that losing my vision would mean losing sight of the little things, reading to my granddaughter, watching sunsets, seeing the faces I love.
My retina specialist recommended Vobizmo.
He said it's different.
It's the only treatment thought to block two causes of wet AMD and deliver a chance for up to four months between treatments.
Thanks to my improved vision, I'm holding on to the moments that mean the most.
Ijean, for patient assistance programs, cost and full prescribing information.

This is the CarPro Show, the home of straight talk and honest answers about everything automotive
with Jerry Reynolds the CarPro, a former two-term chairman of the Ford National Dealer Council,
a member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, and sixth time winner of the Texas Auto Writers
Association Award for Best Radio Show in Texas.
Jerry's partner is Todd Chambliss, great voiceover guy and sixth time winner of the
Darche Championship at the Golden Sperr Bar and Grill.
Here they are now on the CarPro Show.
Thank you very much for joining us.
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and we are here helping you make a good smart car
buying decision on this biggest week of the year to make yourself a deal on a new set
of wheels.
So, if I don't have a line open right now, but if you hear somebody hang up, here's
the phone number to call 800-926-7777, that's thechase.com CarPro Hotline.
And if you haven't been to chase.com C-H-A-I-Z, C-H-A-I-Z, what they do is they help our
listeners find the right extended warranty for them.
They shop around for you to find the best price and the best coverage depending
on what kind of car you've got and your driving habits.
They're very good at what they do.
And boy, I tell you what, there's so many bad warranties out there, you've got to be
careful these days.
So chase.com, tell them the CarPro sent you and they'll take good care of you or
you can connect with them through our website, carpro.com.
Todd Chambliss, what did you win an award for this time?
That's a Hall of Famer right there, that's nothing to sneeze at, mister.
No, absolutely not.
Our newsletter will come out in the next couple of days and this will be an abbreviated
version but go ahead and sign up if you haven't and I want you to read my articles.
You'll see my top car reviews for 2025, you'll see our incentive guide where if you're not
sure what the incentives are right now because they are the best of the year, then you will
certainly want to look and see about the car that you're interested in and what the
current incentives are and I've got them for every vehicle made in America and that's
a hard thing to do.
Not bad.
Getting your trade-in value, that's another article that will help you.
Getting your car ready to trade in, that's a big, big, big deal and you want to maximize
those dollars if you're going to get the best overall deal.
I see people make the mistake of getting too fixated on one element of buying a car.
It's either the price of the new car, the trade-in value, the interest rate.
You can't concentrate on any one of those because a good smart car dealer is going to be able
to work around that and make it up on something else and I did it for many, many years.
I owned car dealerships for decades and I can tell you, you're not going to outsmart
a car dealer when you're buying a car every five to ten years and they're doing this
every single day.
So use my process.
It starts at carpro.com by finding the dealership nearest to you, by talking to the contact
person that's there, usually someone in authority, often the general manager, sometimes
the owner.
I shortcut the system and it had to been in the business as long as I was to be
able to do that.
So all you got to do is go to carpro.com and click on the link near the top that says find
a carpro certified dealer near you, put in the brand that you want from a drop-down
menu and put in your zip code.
That simple.
Just be sure that you talk to the person that I'm sending you to because that's
the person I rely on to take care of you, my listeners.
You're the only asset I have in radio.
It's you.
There's a lot of people who will, you know, they'll say, you know a good plumber or you
know a good lawn person or doctor or whatever.
This is the guy, Jerry, that you talk to when you're looking to buy a car.
One of the most important and biggest purchases you'll ever make.
He knows the person.
He's got the contact in there.
If you follow the process and you do it the way he recommends, you're going
to get the best experience and I've done it many times over.
Yes, you have.
You've been a loyal follower of the process.
I have indeed.
Let's talk to Scott in Cleveland, Ohio.
Scott, welcome.
How can I help you, sir?
Hi, Jerry, I have a twenty thirteen to see an event and looking for a new
one and possibly even considering a Honda Odyssey, which I had a long time ago.
So I looked up the car pro website and punched in my zip code in the Cleveland
area and couldn't find anybody locally.
So I'm looking for a recommendation.
Yeah, I wish I could help you with that, Scott.
We were on the air there in Cleveland for a long time and the program manager
got changed and they decided they were going to put on paid
programming instead of our show.
And that's OK.
That's that's, you know, they're in business to do what they got to do.
But I'm not on the air there anymore.
And I only have dealers in the areas where my show airs.
So I can't help with a referral.
I wish I could.
But I will tell you that the Sienna, if I were buying a van, it would be my
pick as well. I think quality wise and reliability wise, it's a much better van.
The Odyssey is great.
I it's got neat features and all that.
But it has had a bit of a checkered past as far as long term
reliability and the fact that you've got a twenty thirteen now tells me
you typically keep a car for a long time.
And if that we're going to be if that's the case, then I would go with the Toyota
and Toyota is up the game on that on that van.
What you're going to find, which may be surprising to you
is Sienas are hard to find.
They're not they sell all they can build and they don't build enough of them.
And I've talked to some some of my Toyota dealers in other markets
about why that is and nobody seems to know.
They just there's never enough Sienas around to meet demand.
So your bigger issue now is not going to be the deal that you get.
It's going to be finding what you want.
And it may take the dealer a little bit of time to order one
or put your name on one that they got coming in to their inventory.
And that's what most people do.
OK, thank you so much.
Well, I didn't help you, but I I want to reinforce
I want to reinforce the fact that your choice was a good one of the Sienas.
That's the one I would go with. Yes. All right, brother.
I appreciate the call.
Thank you very much. Merry Christmas to you and happy new year.
Eight hundred nine to six seventy seven seventy seven.
That's the chase dot com.
Carpro hotline and that opened up a line if you want to grab it real quick.
Eight hundred nine to six seventy seven seventy seven.
If you're on hold, I'm going to get to you.
I promise you that is my my promise.
How tall or short you are is a big factor in what car you buy.
Let the car pro help you call one eight hundred nine to six seventy seven seventy seven.
Well, the end is coming soon.
The clock is ticking.
Time is running out, of course, on your opportunity to make the best deal
that you could ever make this time of the year on a brand new car.
And also, if you're a business owner or self-employed tax code one seventy nine,
that's going to end December 31st.
I mean, you have the grace period of incentives going through Monday.
The fourth isn't the fifth, but tax code one seventy nine.
After December 31st, it is over if you want to find out more
about the list of eligible tax code one seventy nine vehicles
and all the other information Jerry has provided for you.
It's in the newsletter, which you should be getting anyway.
And if you don't, we can go ahead and fix that right now by going to carpro.com.
The very bottom is a link to be able to sign up.
You get it for free.
You can get the latest one sent to you immediately.
You can read up on this and find out if it applies to you.
There you go.
And I had a CPA help me write that article, by the way.
So we change it every year based on what my CPA tells me.
They do the research.
I'm not smart enough.
That's why they're the CPA.
That's right.
He don't know.
He trusts me to buy cars.
I trust him to to give me taxes.
It works out well.
Bruce and Vancouver, Washington.
Welcome, Bruce.
What can I help you with?
Hi, Jerry.
Thanks for taking my call about buddy.
Good to have you.
I was shopping for an Acura and I went through Costco and get their pricing.
Contacted the dealer, went to the dealer.
The price was fine.
Then we started negotiating how much he was going to give me for my trade
in and finally got to the point he came back and he said, I got some free
money and they offered me $3,000 and free money.
I never heard of it.
What is that?
Well, most likely it is an incentive that you qualified for
that is not available to the public.
And that's not unusual.
And the good dealers will always look to see if, you know, what those
incentives are.
And usually it's because what are you what are you trying to trade in?
Well, I've got a 24 Lexus RX 350 gas luxury.
And OK, you know, there's likely an Acura incentive for people
who currently own Lexus products.
They do that a lot.
All the manufacturers do right now, even even even some of the more
mainstream like Ford right now.
If you there's a $2,000 rebate on the Bronco here in Dallas, Fort Worth.
But if you own a Jeep Wrangler, you get another 2,000.
So these are not generally advertised, but they're there.
And the dealer can use them at their discretion.
So I'm going to say that's probably what he means by free money.
Oh, interesting. I'd never heard of it.
Well, that's a funny way to phrase it.
But I can't think of anything else that it could possibly be, you know.
And if it worked and incentive and he said to you, I'm going to give you
some free money, it wouldn't have been 3,000, it would have been 1,000.
So they can't change in the dealers can't change incentives.
They can't they can't do anything about that.
And frankly, it doesn't cost them any money.
So why not use that 3,000 to sell a car, which is what the money's intended for.
So get it.
Hey, that sounds like it sounds like a great opportunity for you.
Yeah, I noticed they hadn't been selling the Acura MDX.
And then I got a little gunshot.
I had a little gunshot.
Acura MDX is then I got a little gunshot and said, I got to think about this.
No, it's a great SUV.
I mean, don't don't second guess yourself on that.
It's Acura Acura is not.
Doing a lot of promotion.
They're not doing a lot of advertising right now.
Even in December, wouldn't most manufacturers do?
They're just not doing a whole lot.
And I don't know what I don't know what the thinking is by Honda,
why they're not pushing that brand more, because I've got some good
Acura dealers around the country.
And I'll tell you, they're hurting right now.
They're really struggling.
So they need they need support from the factory like incentives
and advertising and that sort of stuff.
So, you know, the vehicle itself top notch, really, really, really nice vehicle.
And great quality.
Yeah, don't don't go in between.
Go ahead. No, I thought you're coming out of Alexis.
The only thing I'd warn you about is the ride
and handling is going to be different than that our ex was.
So be sure you take a good test drive.
And if if you're OK with it, I don't think you can go wrong.
Yeah, I'm torn between that and that.
Hyundai, I would say, calligraphy, man, what a car.
Oh, it is. It is.
I enjoyed that, especially the hybrid I just had and reviewed.
That was awesome.
But the Acura is probably a better long term vehicle.
I appreciate the call.
There are critical factors to consider if you're going to tow something.
Find out what they are by calling the CarPro Jerry Reynolds at 1-800-926-7777.
And Karen in Richmond, Texas, in the Houston area, Karen, how could I help you?
Hey, thanks so much for taking my call.
Enjoy your show. Thank you.
I currently I'm currently driving a 2014 Nissan Murano.
It has about ninety six thousand miles, so I don't buy cars often.
But I'm it's time to upgrade.
And so I just wanted to get your opinion.
I'm not tied to any brand or but I do want about that size.
And I do need an all wheel drive because I do travel back and forth to the Midwest.
Yeah. Have you looked at the new Murano?
I have not. I have not.
Whoa, is it nice?
OK, OK, good.
I've got a I've got a review up at CarPro dot com up in the search box.
If you'll click click on search and then put Murano in,
it'll pull up the twenty twenty five.
What I loved about it the most was that it got bigger.
And I thought it kind of needed to.
I thought it was a little bit short in second row room and in cargo area.
Well, they saw that it's not only longer, but it's wider.
And the price was a real plus to me.
I thought it was terrific.
It's got the one I were the one I reviewed at the two two liter four cylinder
two hundred and forty one horses, but two hundred and sixty pound
feet of torque and the best news.
They did away with the CVT transmission.
It's got it's got a regular transmission now.
And and that kept me that CVT kept me from recommending this vehicle for a long time.
The seats are about as comfortable as anything I've ever been in.
They're really, really comfy seats.
And again, the price is excellent.
So all things considered, I would look at it for sure.
And see what you think about it.
And I can I can send you to Fred Hassney's son on Tom Ball Parkway.
Talk to Dane White, he's he's my man there.
And I would tell you also to look at my review
of the Mazda CX 70.
I just had that one recently and it's comparable to this little more cargo area.
So take a look at those two and I've got a good Mazda dealer there, too.
Can have Merry Christmas to you.
Electric gas hybrid, don't just guess about which suits how you drive.

Welcome back to The Car Pro Show with Jerry Reynolds,
the car pro and quickly becoming a brand new songwriter in his own right.
Well, thank you.
Well, he's already had two different songs premiere
on the last month on The Car Pro Show, a third one on the Dallas show earlier.
And that third one involving his favorite Dallas Cowboys team is going to be
on the newsletter. The link to it anyway will be Monday.
So if you want to catch up on some of the songwriting prowess
that Jerry's been showing, one was the 12 days of Car Pro Christmas.
That was real popular.
And then he did the one with the same GMC, same puppy song.
Yeah, what a week or so ago.
A couple of weeks now, I guess.
And now you've got the third song.
So you can catch up on all those.
If you want to catch the first two there in the latest newsletter
that came out earlier this week, CarPro.com.
And you can sign up and get that center, your inbox immediately.
And then early next week, the third song from The Car Pro
himself will be in the newsletter.
The link there, you can check it out.
Janet in Los Angeles.
Welcome. Hi, Janet.
What can I help you with?
Hi. Hi, Mary.
You too.
Thank you. Thank you.
I talked to you a couple of weeks ago and I was the last caller
that got through and you told me to call back the following week,
which I tried, but I couldn't get through.
But today I got through, which is great.
Yeah, you recommended the Toyota Crown for me.
Yes. I was the lady that wants a high seat.
Oh, yeah. In the passenger side.
Yep. OK.
And we talked about Lease.
And you said I was the perfect person for a lease.
Yes. And you had to go.
And I don't know why I had to figure it out.
OK. First of all, you have a recommendation.
I signed up for your newsletter and I'm looking at getting an appointment
at the Santa Monica Toyota.
I'm in Los Angeles. Oh, yeah.
That's what it is. You'll love Sandra.
The reason I told you to lease is because.
In fact, I've got an article at at my website, carpro.com.
Under the on the FAQ page,
which is under car buying resources.
And there's a senior section there.
And one of the articles is why seniors should lease.
And the biggest reason is to conserve your cash
because lease payments, lease payments are a lot less than
than purchase payments.
So you keep your cash on hand for something else.
Should it should there be something to arise arise,
you know, medical or whatever, because it happens.
And I also want you in the latest, greatest safety cars
that are out there.
So if you get on a cycle of leasing every three years,
you're always going to have the newest safety features.
And that's, to me, the biggest thing because as we age,
our bodies change, our reflexes slow down.
We can't see as well as we used to.
We can't park as well.
Our depth perception is really screwed up.
So it's really easy to bump into something with your car,
thinking that you've got enough room
when you really don't.
And with the sensors and things that are out there now, Janet,
I want you in a new car every three years
so that you will have the best safety features.
And really, that's the best reason.
That's the best reason to lease besides holding your cash.
But, you know, the sad side of leasing for seniors.
And I was honest.
I pointed this out in the article.
If something happens to you, it's easier for your family
to deal with getting out of the leased vehicle
than it is a purchase vehicle.
And we don't want to think about that, but it's reality.
I hope we won't be dealing with that for a while.
And I'm a whiz at parallel parking.
So good for you. Good for you.
Yeah, I'm very ready to get that.
And I have a 2008 meod that I've finally has bit in the dust.
So with no with no extra fancy equipment whatsoever,
I'm a whiz at parallel parking. Well, good. OK.
So that that's interesting.
I just didn't know why. Yeah.
Read that article.
Go go to car buying resources and read the FAQ page.
There there may be there may be other articles there
in the senior section that you might be interested in, too.
But that's the main one.
I always recommend leasing for seniors unless they drive a lot of miles.
Merry Christmas to you, kiddo.
Good to talk to you.
You're in great hands with Sandra Brunig
at the Toyota store in Santa Monica and Wayne in New Braunfels.
Wayne, welcome. What can I help you with, sir?
Thank you, sir. How are you doing?
Great. Merry Christmas to you.
Yeah, same to you, sir.
So I am curious about your advice.
Obviously, Toyota's are great vehicles.
Yeah, but I'm kind of interested in a highlander or the highlander hybrid.
And wondering what your what your views were.
If if I'm looking at a Toyota or Lexus
and there's a hybrid available, that's what I'm buying every single time.
It's a no brainer. OK.
I'm I'm reviewing I'm reviewing the
Grand Highlander right now.
It'll be in the newsletter that comes out Monday.
And OK, this one does not have the hybrid.
It's got the regular four cylinder gas engine, which is
it performs beautifully like Toyota's do.
But the gas mileage difference was substantial
from the last Grand Highlander that I had, which was the hybrid.
And for so long, Wayne, the fear with hybrids
was having to replace the hybrid battery.
And Toyota has come not Toyota, but the listeners
that that I've recommended hybrid Toyota's to in the past have convinced me
that you're going to get two hundred and twenty five thousand
or more, more miles out of that hybrid battery.
And you don't have to do a thing. Wow.
And that's great to hear.
Last reason is Toyota's one of the few car companies
that doesn't hijack you on price when you go to the hybrid.
It's very reasonable.
And within two years of buying a Toyota hybrid,
the engine will pay for itself.
After that, it's just free money
because you're not using near as much gas
as somebody that doesn't have a hybrid.
OK. And with regard to slightly used
twenty twenty four twenty twenty five,
that doesn't change your opinion as well. No, no, definitely not.
The only thing I would tell you is with the incentives
that are out there during Toyota's on
and as popular as the Highlander is,
a new one may be about as cheap as a used one
if you talk to one of my dealers.
I don't have.
I've got two great ones in San Antonio, two really good ones
at my website.
I got Red McCombs and Universal, Universal Toyota.
Mike Buffenbarger is my man at Red McCombs,
been with me for years.
Adam Soto is the general manager at Universal Toyota.
Both great guys just depends on which one's closer to you.
You can't go wrong.
And if you if you they'll have used ones.
But I'm telling you with the pricing they give my listeners
and the used SUV market as high as it is right now.
I think you can get a I think you can get a brand new one
as cheap as you can get a used one. And that's the truth.
OK, good deal.
All right, brother, Merry Christmas and happy new year to you.
OK, yeah.
And that's something that people have to look at right now.
When incentives are this good and the used car market is this high.
You don't want to blindly just assume a used one is cheaper than a new one.
And that's not the case always.
There's always something new when it comes to cars.
Find out what's new that fits you.
Call the car pro at 1-800-926-7777.
As we mentioned before, over 100 cars driven
every year by Jerry, the car pro and in this week's newsletter.
It is the most clicked item, the top car reviews for 2025.
So take a look at all the cars that you looked at over the course of 2025.
And making it really convenient, you've got these separated by types
like two row SUVs, three row, large SUVs,
electrics and pickups all right here in cars to sedans,
which we can't forget that there aren't that many of them, of course,
that you probably saw.
But it's all right there for you.
The ones you like, the ones that you liked over the others.
And it's a good way to go and see without having to go through
a hundred different reviews or however many you go through.
It's one big page and it's a good reference for you and the latest newsletter.
Sprung it on Amy last minute.
Did you? Oh, by the way, I want you to pick
your review car of the year, your favorite of the year.
Oh, my. Oh, wow.
She was not happy with me.
Probably not. But Heather, she's a trooper, though.
She is. Heather and Houston.
Welcome, Heather. How can I help you?
Hi, I seriously need some help.
I am not a car all car person at all.
And first of all, sorry.
Thank you. Hi, Jerry and Todd.
Hello. Merry Christmas.
Merry Christmas to you too.
So I have an old 2001 Chevy Suburban, 350,000 miles on it.
And she has my husband has said she's bit the dust.
So I need to get something else.
I definitely want something smaller.
And my sister was suggesting like the wrap for size,
something like that, but I've driven the wrap for
and didn't care much for it.
But I like the size of it.
And so I'm not sure what direction to go in.
All right, I'm with you.
And you got to understand when when I'm listening to you,
tell me about what you've been driving
and what you're thinking about and what's the right size and all that.
Generally speaking, a car will pop into my head.
And in this case, the one that popped into my head
was the Chevy Equinox.
Not because it's not because it's a Chevy and you're driving a Suburban,
but because you drove the wrap for,
which there is nothing overly exciting about at all.
It's it's just a great SUV.
It'll just go forever.
But it's I mean, it's boring by comparison.
If you look at the Equinox,
you're going to see a lot of cool features.
It's going to have a lot of neat stuff inside.
It's going to be colorful.
The the infotainment system is going to have
neat stuff that the Toyota doesn't offer.
It's just one of my favorites.
I absolutely love the Equinox.
I've I've reviewed it numerous times.
I've had the electric Equinox a couple of times,
which was fantastic.
But even without that,
the the the four cylinder Equinox is great gas mileage
and just a lot of fun to drive.
And it's very, very attractive.
It's pretty. It's not boring.
The interior is great.
Yeah, that that's your answer right there is the Chevy Equinox.
Let's do that.
I got a couple of great Chevy dealers there in Houston.
If you'll go to my website,
carpro.com, put your zip code in at the top where it says,
find a certified car pro dealer near me.
Put Chevrolet in there, put your zip code in.
It'll pull up with my contact and jump in there
and get this done before the end of the month,
before December 31st.
And let's let's get you right.
That is my goal, because right now we've just got the one car.
We've got the Toyota 2023 four runner and my husband's
not liking being stuck at home because I am a nanny.
So will the Equinox also fit two car seats?
Oh, absolutely. Absolutely.
You'll be fine. You'll be fine.
I appreciate the call, kiddo. Good luck.
Some cars have poor resale value, but they're great cars.
Let the car pro Jerry Reynolds tell you why that may be worth considering.
Call 1-800-926-7777.
Well done in Austin.
You're the last person I'm going to talk to this year.
What can I do for you?
Hello, Jerry.
Hi, buddy.
I really enjoy you and Todd's show.
Thank you, best.
I'm in the market for a Chevy Silverado, a new one,
either 25 or 26 1500 LT.
I like the convenience package that seems to work for me.
The problem is I've been dealing over about the past three or four weeks
with about five different dealerships in the central Texas area.
You know, the big ones and everybody is kind of insinuating
that they don't have much inventory and don't really have what I need.
And they're really pushing.
I was wanting the five point three eight cylinder motor
and they're really pushing the Turbo Max four cylinder
and they have plenty of those and
showed a seem to be not having very much
of any other inventory in the Chevy.
Yeah, Chevy General Motors is pushing that engine
and that's where the incentives are.
That's where the big money is.
So I'm not really surprised that they're pushing that.
That's what they've got sitting there
and dealers are always going to push what they got in inventory.
Have you talked to Ryan at in Hutto?
I actually have talked to Ryan and Hutto
and that's where I bought my last car,
the last truck was a long time ago.
And it's funny you say that, but I got Ryan when I called up there.
I hadn't been up there first and yet I live
pretty far south Travis County.
But we are about to run out of time here.
If Ryan can help you, I know that he will.
He really tries for my listeners.
If he needs to get one from another dealer or whatever,
just tell him what you want.
And I promise you he'll get he'll make it happen.
If you want to make your hunt for a new vehicle shorter
and easier, talk to the car pro first at 1-800-926-7777.
