Mercedes Benz SL55 AMG.

Yeah.

Had very low mileage of 18,000 miles.

It's pretty much immaculant.

And basically I just wanted your opinion of the car

and future resale value.

I pretty much saved about 100,000 off the MSRP in 2008.

It was listed for 139 and I paid 40 for it.

Just wanted your opinion, what you think of the car

and future values and longevity and that type of thing.

And also about where your dealers are in the area where I live.

Did you say it was an 08?

Yes.

Wow.

That's incredible mileage.

Unbelievable.

Very low.

Boy, what a great find that was.

That was rare.

I love the car.

I love the way it drives.

I had an S55 back around that time.

I think it was maybe a 2010 but I was a partner

in a Mercedes dealership and I absolutely loved that car.

The way it rode, the way it drove, everything about it.

Yeah, I'm very impressed myself.

The only downside is when something does go wrong,

they're expensive to repair.

Now, there are some Mercedes Benz dealership garages

that specialize in Mercedes Benz that are not dealerships.

Those will save you money and I would recommend you find

a good one of those that's not too far from you.

Go talk to them when you don't have a problem and get to know them.

And if they've got multiple service advisors,

ask whoever runs the place, which one does the best job,

The thing I thought was great because I'm going to gravitate to this.

When you're in park mode, the screen turns into,

you can actually watch movies on it.

The big long screen that goes all the way across the dash of the entire vehicle.

This is luxury to the hilt.

And if you've ever wanted to get a navigator,

this is an impressive one.

You drove that one for a bit of the week.

You also drove the 2025 Ram 2500 limited Longhorn crew cab.

What do you think of that?

Diesel.

And just quiet, huh?

Oh, for a diesel, it is super.

You can't hear that engine inside.

You barely hear it outside.

That's the thing.

Diesel has this, I guess,

I guess in the past used to hear diesel coming down the road.

Now making them a whole different way.

Certainly the quiet is there too.

And I thought it was a beast of a vehicle.

That's a big giant honking vehicle, isn't it?

Oh, toes, 20,000 pounds.

Man.

Got 1,075 pound feet of torque.

Oh, my.

When you step on this thing, it will just get up and go.

And it's so nice inside.

Oh, bad.

I mean, it's 100 grand.

Yeah.

Well, certainly you expect for something like that.

But you got to look at it as a piece of equipment.

Right.

Exactly.

It is.

And Amy drove the 2025 Audi S6 Sportback e-tron.

Beautiful car.

I mean, kind of a unique looking EV

where you don't expect it to be quite so nice inside

for that level.

Well, I'm a longtime pickup driver.

And I'm 80 years old right now.

I've been driving Silverado half tons.

And think about going to a midsize pickup,

looking at Rangers, Colorado,

and Toyota Tacomas.

And I've about decided on Toyota Tacoma

that's got that four cylinder turbo engine.

And I drove one of them.

And I just wanted your opinion on that Toyota Tacoma.

I like it as far as the longevity

and how many miles it'll go and that sort of thing.

It's probably the greatest pickup that's ever been made for that.

Is it the most comfortable?

No, not in my opinion.

I don't think it's as comfortable as the Ranger

or the Colorado or the GMC Canyon, for that matter.

And that's just, that's normal Toyota stuff.

Meaning that they don't put as much emphasis

on interior quality and ride quality

as they do longevity.

So I don't know, you know,

I don't know how many miles you plan to drive the truck.

But I think after, go ahead.

I'm a pickup driver.

So the ride of it, I drove it

and I couldn't believe how peppy

that little four cylinder motor was.

Oh yeah.

That is not a problem.

I've been driving the 5, 3, B8 GM Silverado.

And this one I'm looking at is a SR5 four wheel drive four door.

Yep.

And they offered me a real good deal here trade in.

I mean, got $20,000 trade in for my vehicle.

It has 118,000 miles on it.

Yep.

And out the door tax title license $25,000.

What the sticker for on the Tacoma?

They had it marked down to 41 something.

OK.

And then tax title license after the 20 grand.

That sounds right.

I would I would want you to do one thing.

If you didn't take a long test drive,

I would tell you before you sign up,

go back and drive the truck for a good half hour.

Preferably by yourself.

And see what you think.

Drive it on the highway.

Drive it in town.

Take it over railroad tracks.

Take a good test drive.

It could save you a lot of money.

It's hard to transition from a full size Chevy

down to a Toyota Tacoma.

It may be fine.

I hope it is.

I do drive a F-150 power boost.

So I do like that whole hybrid type thing.

It's not plug-in, as you know.

But what's out there that I can plug in, maybe,

o just something newer technology out there

that can maybe save me on some fuel,

maybe go all electric or hybrid plug-in.

And this is for him, right?

Yes, it'll be for him.

I'll probably drive it until he gets of age,

which will be a few months from now

to get his permit and all that.

But with prices going up and all that,

well, I'm not sure if it's time to buy it now

or wait or what.

Yeah, we're seeing used prices fall right now.

They haven't dropped dramatically,

but they are trending down.

Don't go electric with him, all electric.

You don't want to do that.

Too much power.

There's too much power.

It will be too tempting for him.

Every time he goes to take off to floorboard that thing.

And I don't care what electric it is,

they are lightening fast.

He'll lose control, especially being a young driver.

All his buddies are going to want to drive it.

Not worth it.

The hybrid part is fine.

You want to get him a Toyota Prius,

for instance.

That's a great car.

And they are relatively inexpensive.

But I would get him,

and he's going to fight showing this,

but I'd get him a car instead of an SUV.

So you can limit the amount of people

that he can drive around.
