You know, AT&T believes that listening to the voice of a loved one can change everything. And you, who loves parks, you know what that is? Listen to the voice of someone we call, it's unique. That's why we save your messages. Does that mean a lot? Right? For me, if we need animals in the parties, I know who to call. Marisol, listen to your voice, it feels like it's at home. And if I need to tell someone, call Eric, it's my best friend. Listen to him, it's like a book that I didn't know he needed. AT&T knows that these things
are perfect to share your voice. If you have time without calling someone, it's the moment. Because more than a conversation, it's the opportunity to say something that will always remind you of. In these parties, share your love with a call. Happy parties, Desea and Cienci. Connect everything.
One in the auto industry, Todd Chamblis, Jerry's partner, is not related to former New York Yankee star Chris Chamblis, but they do have a connection. Chris had a home run that won the American League Penet on October 14, 1976. And on that same day, Todd ran over a gopher with his bicycle in the front yard.
The coincidence? Just a different skill set. You decide. Anyway, now it's time for you to get ready to call in with your question on the CarPro Show.
Thank you so much for joining us. This is the CarPro Show. We appreciate you being with us today. We are here at the end of the month and at the end of the third quarter of 2025.
So, if you've been putting off that decision to get yourself a new set of wheels, I would suggest to you that between now and Tuesday night is the time.
And we have just seen so much happen this week with incentives. You got to understand that the automakers always jack them up at the end of a quarter.
They get paid quarterly bonuses. So they save up some of their incentive, a lot of money and they put it all on at the end of the quarter to make sure that they get where they need to be.
Guess what? The dealers do the same thing. They've got quarterly objectives from all the automakers. They've got to hit. And sometimes there is financial reward attached to that.
So, if that's the case, they're really eager. Whatever the case is between now and Tuesday, you can get a deal. You can get an easy deal. And you can get a great deal if you go to CarPro.com.
My website find the closest dealer to you and follow my process. It works like a charm. Trust me. There is a shortcut to buying a car and I'm providing it for you.
Now, I also help you with any questions you might have on what I think is the best thing for you to do. What's the right car? Should you buy? Should you lease? Should you go news? Should you go used?
I want to talk to you and I want to help you. It's free. I share 40 years of experience in the auto industry. Most of that own in dealerships. So, all you have to do is call 800-926-7777-800-926-7777.
Tell me what you're thinking about doing. Tell me your story quickly as you possibly can. So, I can get as many callers in as I can. The line's stay busy. Calling now is the smart thing to do.
800-926-7777. Touch endless is here. Yes, I am. Been with me a year this weekend. This weekend, yeah. It's been a year and what a blessing to be a part of what you do and to be the recipient of what you've done many times over, I think once I started working with you was still kind of behind the scenes for a number of years.
But I'm just glad to be here with a fun weekend. Besides the one-year anniversary, I believe is this the weekend for your 24th? Yes.
So, 24 years on the air in Dallas-Fort Worth. Of course, the car pro show nationwide went not terribly long after that. And it's a big weekend because we're on location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area at the Dallas Nationals.
And we're at the San Pat Museum or folks are, I mean, it's classic cars as far as the I can see stuff for the kids and all kinds of fun. And it's a big day.
Oh, it really is. We do this. We don't do a lot of remote broadcasts but this is one we do every year because it's for a great cause.
The Holy Angels in Sri Port, Louisiana, a huge organization that takes care of adult children and they have a school there that they also run.
And it is just a wonderful, wonderful, they do amazing work with people with disabilities. I love it.
And the great thing about the Holy Angels is they stay with these people through life. I mean, they help them with their medical.
And the big challenge for parents of special needs children is they're going to die before their kids.
And that's the way life normally happens is that the kids will outlive the parents. And so this is an option for them to be able to know that they're going to be taken care of.
And what a great group of people and what a caring facility and just, I mean, they're growing and they're getting folks to come by and consider contributing.
And you can go. I think it's LA Holy Angels dot org dot org. So go check it out and see what they're doing. There you go 800 288. Nope. 800 926 77 77 is the chase.com car pro hotline. And you can grab a line right now.
800 926 77 77 Chad from Dallas is on hold and Chad. Sorry, we didn't get to you on the Dallas show, but glad to have you now, pal.
Hey, thanks a lot, Jerry. Can you hear me? Okay, yes, sir. Just fine. Okay, great. I've got the earbuds in sometimes at this.
Clearly. So yes, I've wanted to call it to get through on the local show. You part of your show then was you had a list of vehicles that can make it to 250,000. Well, I was watching my truck.
If I got a little bit of time before I get through the line, I didn't hear my vehicle on your list. So I like to maybe put that for every 11.
It is. Well, it just has 250,000 miles.
How about that? 2018. What engine do you have, Chad?
It is the 5.3. This is the addition through cab, have done the 71 250,000 miles that I've not of repairs.
One kind of a little bit more than not of repair, but it just keeps on going and I love it. Well, I tell you what, I would venture a real strong guess.
That you have been very diligent with your maintenance.
Yes, oil changes have had some front rear differential maintenance, also a gastric of transmission went out 175,000.
So the new training is, I guess that's what 75,000 for an amount, but as far as your regular maintenance, oil changes, not touching the transmission fluid service ever again.
I think that's what cost it too much after I got a transmission.
But yes, regular service, about every 5,000 miles for an oil change.
What Chad is referring to was during the Dallas show, I mentioned that next week, in the free weekly newsletter, I had a list, and this is kind of a scientific list.
I had a list of the vehicles most likely to make it to 250,000 miles.
And I will tell you that the Silverado 1500 is number 17 on the list.
The GMC Sierra's number 15 on the list, and for you truck buyers, the Ford F250's number 13.
If you subscribe today, you'll get next week's in your inbox, next Friday.
Before you buy a car for your teenager, talk to Jerry Reynolds, the car pro.
Here's the number, 1-800-926-7777.
Welcome back to the car pro show with Jerry Reynolds, the car pro. I'm Todd Chambers.
This week's classic car of the week. It is on our Facebook page. It is a beauty.
We talked about this on the Dallas show. Looks like it's a pretty rare vehicle.
And I would imagine a big head turner, if they ever were to see something like this.
Go and make your guess right now, the correct year making model.
One of the correct answers, Monday we do a drawing of all the correct answers.
Because there's going to be a number of people to guess it correctly.
And the random drawing will provide the winner of an auto heat shield.
It's perfect for your car. We're not quite out of the woods with the warm weather yet.
It's still fairly warm out there for a lease of timber.
But that won't be forever. And the auto heat shield is not only going to help you block the heat from getting in the car,
but you can go and actually bring the heat back in during the cold months too.
That's exactly right. I love that. It's an amazing product.
The number one click down story this week in the free weekly newsletter.
And if you didn't get it, you still can buy subscribing today at the bottom of the page at carpro.com.
Ford moving its world headquarters. They're not moving far, but they're moving.
I think Cross Town or something or yeah, sort of essentially owns Dearborn Michigan.
When I was the Ford National Dieter Council Chairman, every piece of property that you saw for sale was with Ford Realty.
They owned hospice.
So there's Ford Realty there. Oh yeah.
Oh my, I didn't know that.
They owned the Ritz Carlton Hotel that I stayed at 300 nights.
Like 300 nights, wow.
Yeah. I knew the Bellman very well.
His name was Marty.
You know that guy's name?
Oh, I spent 300 nights in that car.
These things, there was like a good hamburger place that was right near that Ritz Carlton.
No, it wasn't close, but it was in Dearborn.
In Dearborn? Yeah.
Did Ford own that too?
No.
Okay. Just checking. I didn't know.
But no.
That's an amazing thing.
No, it was too good.
Okay.
No comment there.
It's kind of the thorns we talked to Doug in Galveston.
Doug, welcome to the car pro show.
Thank you, sir. Good morning.
Hi there.
I got a, my wife's coming out of a 17 Avalon and she's looking hard at the 22 to 23 Corsair.
I just wonder what your thoughts were on that vehicle.
I like it.
I had, I guess I reviewed the 2024.
And I thought it was great.
I mean, it's, it's a little larger compact SUV, but the thing about it that was kind of,
kind of stood out at me was they didn't cut corners just because it was smaller.
In other words, the seat materials, the comfort, the seat adjustments, the quietness inside,
the trim, everything was, was really luxurious in that thing.
And that's hard to find.
You know, I recommend the Lexus NX a lot when people are asking about compact luxury SUVs.
And I think for just the pure luxury side, the Corsair is a nicer vehicle than the Lexus NX.
Well.
Okay.
I don't think, you know, if you, there's no issues really?
No, I don't know of anything.
Doug, I will tell you, if you, if you want to get 250,000 or more miles out of an SUV,
I'd go with the NX.
If you don't want to keep it that long, I think the Corsair is probably good to 175, maybe more.
So a lot depends on how much you drive and how long you keep a car.
But I will tell you that for just pure pleasure of driving, you're not going to find a compact SUV that drives any better
and is any quieter inside than that Lincoln.
That's all I need.
She's big on the quiet part and the comfort.
All right.
Perfection to head home around here.
Well, I've got, I've got a great Lincoln dealer in Houston.
If you don't have any luck there on the island and they would be happy to help you, I promise you.
And, you know, if you can, if you can go certified for the warranty, I would strongly consider that.
I think, I think, you know, the warranty is one thing, but the other thing is what that car has to pass
to become a certified car.
And the list is astounding.
It's as close to new as you can possibly get.
So for those reasons, if I were buying used, I personally, and I was in the business forever.
I would personally only buy a certified one.
Gilbert Thomas, he's my man at Bayway, Lincoln.
They're on the Gulf Freeway.
Owned by the Wysnowski family.
Just great, great, great people.
Darryl was a Ford dealer at the same time that I owned four dealerships.
We were very good friends and close.
I know how he runs his business.
Bayway Lincoln, Gilbert Thomas.
Go see him and he'll take great care of you.
I promise you.
Buying a car that isn't right for how you drive is a mistake.
So let Jerry Reynolds the CarPro help you.
Call the CarPro Show at 1-800-926-7777.
You're listening to the CarPro Show and next up is Phil in Los Angeles.
Phil, welcome.
How can I help you, sir?
I'm a semi-retired pastor with limited disposable income.
I have a, as you can believe it, a 2,000-viewable saber custom with only 78,000 miles on it.
Wow.
But my workhorse has been my 2050 Vienna minivan and it's got 267,000 miles on it.
Yep.
And I'm wondering about leasing the RAV4 gas only.
I mean, the RAV4 is an exceptional SUV.
There's all kinds of good reasons why it's been the number one selling SUV in America for the 15th straight year because they're so dark on good.
And, you know, have you calculated how many miles a year that you drive?
Not yet.
I'll do that.
Okay. That's the only thing to watch with a lease.
It's going to be your cheapest payment and it's going to be your cheapest payment going forward.
If you continue to lease, every time your lease is due.
And the reason is Phil, you're never going to spend any money on tires or maintenance or repairs or anything else.
Your car's under warranty the entire three years.
So all you're paying is and Toyota even pays your all changes.
So all you're doing is buying gas for three years.
So that's going to be your cheapest way of driving and having a good, safe SUV.
Okay. I appreciate it.
Thank you much.
Hey, go to CarPro.com near the top of the page.

And if you'll talk to my contact, I've got some really, really good ones in Los Angeles.
So if you'll talk to my contact, they'll take good care.
If you can do something about Tuesday, the push is on and the deals are out there right now.
I promise you.
If you really don't know when the best time is to buy or lease your next car, Sherry Reynolds does.

Welcome back to the CarPro Show, Jerry Reynolds.
Is that CarPro we're talking about?
I'm Todd Chambles.
And we're on location today, the 33rd Annual Dallas Nationals.
And Farmer's Branch, Texas, it's just a flurry of activity out here.
All kinds of classic cars.
Stuff for the kids.
The museum inside with Mr. Sam Pax collection of cars.
It's fantastic.
Of course, all the proceeds from all the things outside and everything go on.
Of course, go into charity.
Holy Angels and Treeport Louisiana.
By the way, one of the most clicked items in our newsletter this week.
If you're thinking about with that $7,500 rebate ending this coming Tuesday,
it might be a good idea to go and read the article, Jerry Rope,
regarding the pros and cons of going all electric.
There are the obvious things for the pros and viraments, saying goodbye to gas stations.
The cons, the battery replacement costs, the range you might have to deal with.
And trying to get that thing charged up on the road, if you take a road trip,
is always going to be a concern.
Yeah, it is.
And I love electrics.
I have one myself.
But I'm going to tell you, if you're going to get an electric car, get a home charger.
It changes the entire experience.
And it just makes it so simple.
To plug in and go to bed and then unplug the next one.
It takes literally 15 seconds to plug in and pull the plug out.
What is your normal?
Do you have the steel on the supercharger?
Do you have the regular 220?
Nobody has a home supercharger.
Well, I don't know whether they actually made something like that for me.
Maybe Elon Musk does.
But they're about 300 grand.
There you go. That's out of my price.
No, I do have a level two charger.
Level two, which how long does that take to get?
What do you shoot for 80 percent?
Yeah, since I'm leasing my car, I go for 100 percent.
Yeah. Well, I mean, optimally, but I mean.
For the long life of the battery, it's better at 80.
And what is it like, eight hours overnight?
Yeah, it's less than that.
From completely zero to 80 percent, you can do it less than eight hours with a level two charger.
All right. That's fair.
But if you're ever going to make this move, why would you miss out on that $7,500?
It doesn't make any sense.
Absolutely right.
Let's go to the phones and talk to Sonja in Hado, Texas.
She's in the Austin, Texas area.
Hello, Sonja.
Hi, Jerry. Thanks for taking my call.
How are you?
You bet. I'm doing good, kiddo.
What can I help you with?
Great. Well, I have a retired woman and I have four vehicles.
A 2005 Honda Accord that has close to 300,000 miles on it.
I drove it off the showroom floor.
I have a 2007 navigator with roughly 99,000 miles on it.
Okay.
I love my navigator.
I bought it from the lady who drove it off the showroom floor.
I have a 2017 Ford F-150 with about 130,000 miles.
I have a 2019 Dodge Journey with about 110,000 miles.
How did you acquire four cars?
Well, we had family members who needed vehicles.
The Honda we retained because both my kids drove the Honda
and my mother-in-law drove the Honda until she passed.
We loved the Honda and it's a good car.
We never got any trouble.
The journey we purchased because it's got the third row seat
and we have seven grandchildren.
That was the Odyssey that we went from to see if we wanted a larger vehicle.
Now we love the navigator.
The navigator has a third row and has the entertainment system
and we want to travel with our grandchildren.
Got it.
So are we going to add the fifth car?
Well, no.
I'm not sure what to do.
My husband wants to keep the truck, which is fine.
But we had these other three insurance is killing us.
You can imagine.
Oh, yeah.
Because we're in our retirement age.
So I had a little trouble with the navigator recently.
They had to repair some kind of an ignition
like there's six of them around the engine and one of them went bad
and they warned me that I might have a lifter problem.
I don't know why they told me that because I'm not having any trouble with vehicles.
It's a little suspicious, but we love the size.
We love that we've traveled in the navigator.
We've been several different long road trips with grandchildren in the navigator.
We love the entertainment system.
I just am trying to decide what's the smartest thing to do
to offload some of these vehicles, but to retain, you know, not locked into the Ford navigator,
but I like the Ford navigator.
But you know, those are really expensive vehicles that you go brand new or you can go right now.
You're going to spend, you're going to spend well over a hundred grand on a new navigator.
Yeah, on a new one for sure.
Let me offer an alternative.
Okay.
Okay.
Thank you.
I recently had the 2025 Ford expedition.
It is completely redesigned for 2025.
And I'm going to tell you that bonus expedition.
It's longer or something, it's a little bit bigger.
There is a long version, which is what I had.
That's what I reviewed.
But it comes in a regular length as well.
Okay.
And it's going to be roughly the same size as your navigator.
But it's a lot less money and it is super, super nice.
Okay.
I would start there, covert Ford right there in your hometown.
Ryan Strathos is my guy.
If you'll talk to Ryan, tell him I sent you.
He'll let you drive one, let you guys go take it home, see what you think.
There are some incentives on it right now, which will help.
And y'all, as a, y'all put your heads together and decide which cars you want to get rid of.
And trade them all in on a new expedition.
Okay.
And then is it, is it, you think the 2025 is the way to go?
Or should I talk to Ryan about something that's not as current as the 2025?
When you see the 2025 and you said in it, you're not going to want anything older.
And that's okay.
You're going to, if you're going to keep this thing for years and years and years, get what you want.
Get the one that fits you, you know?
Okay.
Ryan Stamos.
Stathos.
S-T-A-T-A-T-H-O-S.
Yeah, right there on 79.
Oh, perfect.
I know exactly where that location is.
Ryan Stamos.
Okay.
Great.
Thank you.
Drive that, drive that expedition.
I'm going to tell you, you're going to fall in love with it.
I don't give him a call.
I'm going to give him a call.
And I'm going to reiterate it.
He's at my website, too, in case you forget this stuff.
Just do Austin, choose Austin and put your zip code in there and pull him right up.
Along with this picture and his address and all that stuff.
So we'll get you fixed up.
I'm going to tell you the new expedition is amazing.
I've got the, I've actually got the navigator next week for review.
No.
But I can't imagine at this point that I'd like it more than I like that expedition.
It's a great car.
It was just terrific.
All right.
If you would like to grab a line, the chase.com CarPro hotline is 800-926-7777.
I've got one open.
You can be yours right now.
You don't need advice to buy the wrong car.
But you can get free advice about what car is right for you.
Call the CarPro Show at 1-800-926-7777.
Well, if you like me, you've seen the badge for a Hyundai that weird-looking H.
And you've wondered, is that like italicized?
Is it some sort of like hieroglyphic?
I mean, what's with the H on there?
Well, if you go check the quickships out, which is in our newsletter.
Jerry's got all kinds of great stories from the auto industry.
He actually tells the story that that Hyundai badge, the H, is supposed to be stylized to look like two people shaking hands.
And I didn't even know that.
It never occurred to me that it wasn't anything but an H.
I thought just a weird stylized-looking letter.
And they meant to do that.
They also talked about the Subaru cluster of stars, being a canals, in a constellation or something else.
Yeah, I mean, there's some things obvious there that you probably figured out.
And there are some that are straightforward.
But I always thought that was interesting.
There's another story too, speaking of badges and things.
The Chevy bowtie. Now they have a black one.
Yes, they do.
Is that pretty popular?
Yes, it's good to be.
And I don't understand it.
The bowtie was always, I mean, that's sacred.
It's iconic.
No doubt.
Yeah.
But that's some of the weird quirky, funny stories I put in my quickships column,
every single week.
And I've got some more next week for you, including for you folks there in Austin, Texas,
the newest tourist attraction.
What would that be?
The Bats?
Self-crushing cars.
Austin's full of self-driving cars.
You know the Waymo?
They're the right, right.
We'll pick you up over, but there's no driver.
Right, which is creepy.
That's what all these people that are in these wrecked cars said.
Yeah, I'll give you the update on that.
Interesting.
Subscribe today from carpro.com so that you don't miss out.
You don't want to miss out.
Let's go to Burnett, Texas, and talk to Mike.
Mike, welcome.
Hey, Jerry.
Good morning, Jerry and Todd.
Hello.
Jerry, I've been listening to you for years, but I've never heard you talk about what I'm going to ask you.
Well, I was listening to your Dallas show this morning.
I heard you could lease it to coma for a good price.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Well, I thought about doing that.
And then my daughter said to me, see, I'm a heavy smoker.
She said, oh, you can't smoke if you lease a car because they'll charge you a whole lot when you turn it in.
And so I've just wondering about that.
Is that true or?
It is true if you are really a heavy smoker.
I mean, the technology is there now to where we can get a lot of that smell out.
We can get the majority of it out for casual smokers, but for somebody that's heavy,
that smoke gets in places that just can't be gotten to.
So now, let me, let me throw this.
It's not like I'd be sitting in the car with the windows rolled up and smoke a pack of cigarettes.
Okay.
Here's the other thing too, is if at the end of the lease, you end up buying the Tacoma.
It doesn't matter what you've done to it.
It doesn't matter how many miles you've driven it, it doesn't matter how often you've smoked in it.
Even damage doesn't matter if you buy it.
Well, I'll tell you for that price that he's leasing for, it sounds like a good deal to me.
And the other question I had was if I don't make it all away from burn it to Dallas before Tuesday.
Do you have any guesses to how much it's going to go up like if you missed the end of the month or?
I hate to tell you, but I would, I would tell you that I believe with all my heart.
Everything's going to take a jump after Tuesday.
What made that payment so good on the Toyota's right now is lease specials that are available in Texas.
And if I were you, I would, I would talk to, for sure, talk to my contact before Tuesday.
See if there's anything you can do to get your sale reported to Toyota.
If he can do that, then it won't matter when you pick up the vehicle.
But you're going to have to do all this on the phone.
Jerry Patterson is his name at Freeman Toyota. He's a great guy.
If you're buying your first trucker SUV, let Jerry Reynolds the CarPro help you.
Call the CarPro Show at 1-800-926-7777.
And it's one of our favorite times of the show, the happy listener time,
the folks who listen to Jerry's advice, follow it through, and use the process.
Have great stories, but the car of the day have picked up.
For example, Rotolo Chevrolet in Los Angeles is where James Webb,
he leased and prepaid the lease for 2025 Chevy Equinox EV, a treaty like a rock star,
Doug Deepay found additional earned discounts,
with highly recommend the CarPro process here,
and they were even able to beat the deal that apparently you outlined for the vehicle in the newsletter.
Yeah, I had that article in there about prepaid leases,
and if you're looking for a used car that's $10,000 or less,
prepaid lease on an electric car.
Yeah, with the rebates until Tuesday. Yeah, yeah, I love that.
A freeway Toyota took care of Roberta looking for a Toyota Corolla LE,
apparently as soon as they gave her exceptional customer service.
Now, she has a neurological condition and lives in Louisiana,
but they were able to go, and she found the vehicle she wanted online.
They delivered the vehicle six and a half hours away.
No charge had the paperwork ready to go.
She gave them a check for the total purchase price, and it was as easy as that.
Now, that is one of those things that you're not going to find hardly anywhere,
but somebody like Freeman.
Well, you see why I've only had one Toyota dealer since I've been on the air for 24 years.
Yeah.
And it's Freeman Toyota. Absolutely.
Heels like that. Six hours away.
Six hours away, and she says, have listened for over a decade
