We've got another guest from today's event and later Jeff is going to bring us some of his car culture Cities for vintage car shows.

So we have with us right now this beautiful 1978 Firebird Trans Am, and it's owned by Danone Hollinger.

Yes, I got that.

Uh-huh.

So she did on like the yogurt.

Did anybody ever ask you that before?

Yes, it came from a movie, and I'd rather not.

It's an old Western movie.

Let's talk about the car.

Yeah, Talk about no, I know Well.

No, she didn't want to talk about that.

So no what's wrong with that?

I mean, she doesn't want to talk about it, but I want to talk about it, and this is our show.

My mother loved unique names and she saw a movie a long time ago.

It's called Westward the Women and in it was Dan On.

Didn't think much of it until I saw the movie and I came up to my mother.

I said Mama, you named me after a prostitute, see, I knew the movie.

and you came up to my mother.

I said Mama, you named me after a prostitute.

See, I knew the movie and you had to go there, dad, and I said could you not have picked another name?

She said it was either that or Dallas.

I said I liked it on.

I do too.

I love it.

I've never heard it before, yeah, and I didn't watch the movie, so I did not know.

And I'm not going to apologize.

I mean, obviously we can talk about it.

I'm a teacher, so I really can't talk too much about that to my students.

And they don't know.

so it's fine, and you can't say it's a family name.

No, it's not a family name.

Do you have children?

Yes, I do.

I got three kiddos.

I got two daughters and a son.

Okay, and their names are Normal names.

Normal names.

Jessica, katie and Eric yes, yes normal names.

There's normal names.

I have a Katie also.

Oh, do you, yeah, yeah.

I wasn't going to strap my children with that.

No, not like my mother did.

It's all right.

No, not like my mother did.

It's all right, but she had good intentions.

I'm sure yes, she did.

She obviously was affected by this woman's part in the movie let's go with impressed.

Well, one way or the other, she was impressed.

You have to watch it.

So the 78 Pontiac.

So how did you acquire this car?

So I have been in love with Hot Rod since I was young.

I wasn't the typical girl that had singers on their walls.

I had the middle fold out of the Hot Rod magazines in my car, I mean in my house, and I used to Did you staple them to the bedroom wall, like my headboard, the headboard I had?

it on my headboard.

There you go, yeah and um.

So I was always in love with cars, but that wasn't something that I could I could fulfill, you know.

So I had a boy that I really liked.

I actually went to school, graduated here in granbury and really grew up in glenrose but I graduated here in granbury and there was a boy that I really liked will not say his name and he had a 69 Camaro, fell in love with the car more than I did the story okay, love the car.

So I grew up I wanted a hot rod.

I really did, couldn't ever do.

It ended up marrying my love of my life over here and he had his own vehicle and I'm like, oh gosh, I want one, I want one.

Well, we've been looking, but the prices of 69 Camaros are ridiculous.

Absolutely.

On teacher's salary.

You can't afford one.

So we were looking around and one of our car club members, his brother, was selling this Trans Am.

This Trans Am had been put up I forget how long it was put up For about five years, you said and he had it in storage.

He redid this car back in the 2000s.

He did it all himself, he didn't put any bondo on it and it was a hail damage car.

He got all of that out and redid it for his son and his son had a tragic accident and wasn't able to drive this car.

So it's been in his shop and he would start it up every so often and he was like you know, I really need to sell this car Cut ties with it Cut ties with it.

So he said I just want you to be able to um go ahead and use it and make it better.

So we went ahead and bought it and we changed up some things on it and I will never want a 69 camaro.

I've fallen in love with this with this vehicle you don't see a lot of them, especially in the white with the black decals on it.

Yeah, yeah um, because it did have blue decals and we turned around and changed it out.

Um, we you know it looks better like this.

I believe I like it well the, the black insets on the grill and the other black touches on it.

It looks great like that plus, let's not leave out the whataburger table tent I was thinking it took us a while to get that ate a lot of hamburgers At least 77 times and from what to Whataburger?

did you steal that?

from.

We're borrowing it.

Whataburger site yeah.

Well, actually, if you turn it in, I think they give you two Whoppers or whatever that's a different burger place, whatever that's a different burger place.

Whatever, not going to do that.

And the honeycomb wheels.

I like that.

Those are the year ones.

Those are the newer ones of them.

Well, it's a beautiful car, you know.

To me the Pontiac Trans Am was always a luxury step above the Camaro, and the Z28 in particular the Z28, to me, was more of a race car, not that this couldn't keep up with it, but this always had the luxury touches in the interior.

So I get where you're coming from.

I had a friend of mine that had one.

I did too.

This is really nice.

He had a blue one, 77, I believe they're a little bit heavier than the Camaro the same year Camaro, so they ride a little bit better, I think.

Even if you get the HD deep parts on it, it still rides better.

Well, you know, and and this is a 78, yeah, I just love the car, it's beautiful.

Yeah, they actually drag race this car.

This car was a drag race car, and so it it.

It.

It has all the suspension underneath, that's I mean when it turns it turns and um so, but it had a four speed in it and that that couldn't keep up with our car club.

For some reason it would tack out, it would go up into the 4,000.

We couldn't keep up with our car club it wasn't a good driver.

Huh, it wasn't a good driving it wasn't, so we went ahead and put a Tremec in it, five-speed, so now it cruises.

It keeps up with everybody else.

Now it's almost like it's got an overdrive in it.

It does yes yeah, it was getting too hot when we were trying to drive it with that four speed and we'd have to pull over, and because we were afraid we were going to do something does it have the gear in the rear does it have the original engine it?

Has a pony at 400 yeah in it.

Nice, yeah, and that's what they were.

Drag racing they drag race this yes, they Uh-huh.

Do you drag race?

I don't know.

She looks over there and he says no, no, I don't drag race.

The insurance man is listening.

Now my other Camaro that I had, I would race it.

I loved to race cars.

I did when I was growing up and trashed a few of my parents.

Where did you get this influence?

Was it from your dad?

You know what?

Was he a hot rodder?

No, my dad wasn't, it was just I was the youngest of seven kids and I had okay.

So I love to work, to be around people who worked on cars.

It's just something that I loved and so, I don't know, I just I would rather have hot rod magazines, that I would.

You know.

Girly magazines, girly magazines you said you're a teacher by profession.

Why don't you get involved in teaching an auto class?

oh, but you know why?

because I retired oh, you could come on this year, this year come on retirement.

I'm I'm early childhood, so I can't do high school.

I'm not certified to do high school.

I can't do high school.

I'm not certified to do high school Certify, schmertify, but you can do it.

But the hot rod shop, we'll certify you.

Exactly the shop for hot rods.

I don't think you have to be certified as a teacher.

I think that you can go under the radar.

Yeah, no, I'm quite happy being retired so far.

Good for you.

Yeah, I enjoy it.

So would you guys take it to a lot of car shows?

Yeah, we've gone to Hot August Nights.

We've went all the way out to Reno.

We trailered.

Our car club went out to Reno.

Did you trailer this car here?

Uh-huh.

We trailered it out to Reno.

Oh yeah, we trailered it here.

Yeah, I mean, we all trailered ours, I see.

So this is your baby, she's my baby, but local shows we will drive her to.

We're not going to trailer her, I mean she's not a trailer, queen.

We had a discussion about that earlier.

No, but coming this far, yeah, I don't want to risk her on Highway 6.

But my husband he has a 48 GMCc that he's doing a frame off restoration on beautiful so this is the one that we take back and forth to the car shows.

Currently it's a beautiful car.

So if this is on a trailer, what do you pull it with?

he has a.

He has a derma no, it's not a dually, it's just a three-quarter ton.

Gmc Sorry for.

Gmc people.

GMC Duramax.

It's an acronym.

Gmc stands for God Made Chevrolet.

There we go.

The only way to go is with the Pontiac and the GMC.

Did you know that GMC God Made Chevrolet?

I forgot it.

You didn't have to go too far to try to forget it.

Yeah, I understand.

But we get a lot of people saying I had one just like that.

I had a blue one 77, high school.

He was like the cat's meow when he got it.

Yeah, we enjoy it.

We have a lot of fun.

We do a lot of Christmas parades and things like that.

I decorate up the firebird parades and things like that.

I decorate up the firebird with lights and all of that do you do?

do you do the cleaning, the detailing?

Under the hood and all that yeah, is the underside as clean as the engine compartment?

I can't say that.

I won't say that, all right do you see how low that is?

Yeah, I have to hook it up to get it in the trailer.

I don't want to have to get up underneath there to clean it too.

Okay, well, good.

That means you can drive it.

Yeah, I got it.

Just drive on clean roads.

I had a car that I had the underside pinstriped.

I'll never do that again.

Oh, mm-mm.

No, oh yeah, no.

Live and learn, you know.

Yeah, yeah.

So we do have fun with it.

Great classics.

We're out of Houston.

Where abouts in Houston, do you live?

I live in Magnolia, okay, and most of ours are at Northwest Houston is where our car club's at when all the growth?

is when they can't build freeways and roadways fast enough.

Yes, sir, we have about 900 homes coming in out there, where our rural area is right now.

So what main drag strip is out there?

1488, or where are you?

We don't have a drag strip.

Well, you know what I'm saying?

Where's your main?

It's FM 1488.

Yeah 249 right now is not so crowded.

You can open these up on 249 and clean them out.

You know, we just it's maintenance.

We do a lot of research.

So, yeah, we have a lot of fun, we do.

I got a friend of mine that actually has a couple of them and so he brings the margarita machines.

It's all made up, perfect, self-serve yeah.

That's right, so yeah Well.

We've also done cruise the coast too, as well.

Oh yeah, yeah, that's the one out of Mississippi, right, yeah, blux.

Well, oh yeah, we've been the one out of mississippi, right, yeah, yeah, bluxy, yeah, how was that?

it's too many cars, it's, it's a lot, it's a hard, it's hard on these engines when you're going and stopping and going and stopping on the coast and this kind of weather on the humidity.

I was at one maybe 20 years ago, a long time ago we've done them for the past five years or so what is it march?

And I turned around and I looked.

I thought, oh my God, that car is just awesome.

I've owned it since 2007, but yeah, it didn't look like that when.

I first got it, it was already a driver.

I found it on eBay.

We're going to do the interview now.

And back when I was in high school, my brother and I had to share a 60 Chevy four-door Bel Air six-banger.

Nothing to it, yeah, and so I already knew when it come time to buy another car.

You wanted something different and big.

I wanted a station wagon.

I already knew I wanted a station wagon and I was looking for a 60 Chevy.

And so I'd go on eBay and they'd either be out of my budget or projects which I didn't want.

And so this particular day I just got lathed and tapped in a 1960 wagon.

Is it a Fairlane?

It's a ranch wagon.

Ranch wagon.

Yeah, like ranch water, but ranch wagon.

The one that everybody remembers is the Country Squire.

That's the one that had all the wood on it Right, this is the cheaper model in the wagon lineup, you know, but I liked it in that it gave me blank signs to do what I wanted to with it.

You know, just like a big blank.

Yeah, with the scallops on it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

So anyway, but when I went on eBay and did the 1960 wagon search and I was going through the ramblers and dodgies and whatnot and I was looking for a chevy and this one popped up and I thought that's got some good lines to it you know, so uh and it's massive.

Does it fit in the?

garage.

Well, uh, yes, it will, yes, it will, and uh, uh, barely, I mean with the garage door down.

I've got about, you know, foot, foot and a half in front and six inches in the rear.

Got you.

All right.

Well, now this is a tease.

Okay, this is a tease for the bottom of the hour, because we're going to learn about the 60 Chevy station wagon 60 Ford.

Oh, it's a 60 Ford, sorry.

Yeah, yeah.

yeah, I was looking for a Chevy, but this Ford popped up, and so obviously you weren't married to the Ford Chevy brand.

You didn't care, you just wanted something.

Home to the world-renowned Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, the coastal town transformed into a mecca for luxury and exotic vintage cars each August.

The next one, mike, is a Hershey, pennsylvania, sweet Rides Gotta love it.

Known as the sweetest place on earth, hershey hosts the AACA Eastern Fall Meet, one of the largest antique auto shows in the United States.

With over 9,000 flea market spaces, it's a treasure trove of parts, the hunters of those parts and restoration enthusiasts.

And the next one we have is Scottsdale, arizona, the Desert Classics.

In January, scottsdale becomes one thing Barrett-Jackson.

This mammoth auction and show attracts collectors and enthusiasts from around the world, and if you've ever seen it, it's a true statement right there.

The dry climate also makes it a hot spot for well-preserved classics all year round, mike.

The next one we have here is carlisle, pennsylvania, a collector's paradise.

Carlisle events host numerous shows throughout the year, each focusing on different makes and eras.

From spring carlisle to fall carlisle, there's always something for every taste.

Ever seen 5,000 Corvettes down in one place?

That's the place to go.

Next one, mike, is Amelia Island, florida, southern charm, baby, amelia Island.

Concours d'Elegance is a weekend, I'm sorry.

It combines the stunning vintage automobiles with Florida's balmy weather and beautiful coastline.

It's a perfect blend of high-end classics and laid-back island vibes.

The next one we have is Las Vegas, nevada Vintage Viva Las Vegas, baby.

The Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend isn't just about music, it also hosts one of the coolest vintage car shows around.

I mean David's a pleasure to work with.

He's looking for a place to live.

no, I'm thinking maybe there's a lot of real estate going on around this lake.

He's a lake kind of guy, he's an outdoors man.

He could probably find something cheap around here you know, there's nothing cheap around here.

Half a million, you can find something you can find a fixer-upper for half a mil David.

All right, Mr Carr, let's talk to our next guest, please.

Well, we were teasing this 1964 Ranch Wagon.

It's owned by Larry Davidson, and this is really a beauty right here.

So, larry, why don't you tell us a little bit more about it?

So, larry, why don't you tell us a little bit more about Jeff's going to show it off?

So tell us a little bit more about the car, the car.

So may I, if you don't mind, let me.

He wants to get in it, can he get in it?

There's a fee.

He's got deep pockets.

Go ahead, Jeff.

Yeah, yeah, Go ahead, you know maybe Ginger ahead, Jeff.

Yeah, yeah, Go ahead.

You know Gingerly Jeff.

So what motor does it have in it, Does it?

have the original motor.

No, no, the old Y-block.

It's gone.

It used to have a 292 Y-block in it, but whenever I got it it already had the engine swap.

It's got a 351 winther in it and a C6 automatic.

So it's been updated.

Yeah, yeah.

Does it have air?

conditioning no, no, why.

Why are you not putting air conditioning in it?

You know, vintage air makes it really a great system.

I think they're here somewhere.

I know, don't let Rick Love hear this are really a great system.

I think they're here somewhere, I know Don't let Rick Love hear this it used to and it was causing the motor overheat even going down the highway down I-35.

And so for now I just took it all out and I've got to work on that.

But that's a future project, future project, fair enough, fair enough that would be a winter time project in the garage, because, you know, in this heat, no, I'm good.

Yeah yeah, absolutely.

Oh, you don't need air and taxis.

Come on.

Yeah, exactly so.

A 1960 ford ranch wagon, and you were mentioning earlier that the Ranch Wagon is the cheaper version.

The Ranch Wagon is the cheaper version of the what wagon.

Well, the Country Squire is the one that everybody remembers and I have a picture of the Country Squire in my home office.

I have a picture, two little pictures my son gave me of the Country Squ uh, two different colors with the wood grain so so, larry, we have a question from the audience about how wide that car is takes up the entire 10 foot lane.

You know, I don't know, on the width Big, I would like to put it up against one of those Tesla trucks you know.

Oh the.

Cyber.

Oh, it's wider than that.

Hummer Generation 1.

I'm thinking your Grills-wise is that Tesla truck?

But I do know this it in 1960.

Nothing off of a 59 or 69, I'm sorry, a 59 or 61 fits a 1960 really one year.

It is a one year only and what only?

what is it that doesn't fit the grill?

pretty much everything uh the only thing?

Uh, well, of course, uh, uh.

59 is a lot narrower and shorter.

I've also got a 59 two-door wagon and one day I butted both of the front bumpers up against the inside wall, put the garage door down and measured from the rear bumper to the wall off each one.

Uh, this one was, uh eight inches longer, but I haven't measured the uh, the width of it.

But in 1960, um uh, the government basically said you made it too wide.

Uh, if you keep it up, a lot of states are going to require running lights if it was a truck.

So in 61, it was obvious.

In 61 they did narrow it.

The only thing that they carried over from 60 to 61 was the dash gauge cluster.

I have to ask you not to interrupt.

But what are these little bullet things up on the top of the fenders in the front?

Oh yeah, for turn signals.

They're called the gun sights, and originally those had just a clear plastic insert in it with a four-pointed gold star.

Well, eventually, through the years, years, that plastic would craze or just get brittle and get busted out and whatnot.

So, uh, when it comes time to when I first got the car, there was just nothing there except for a hollow ring, the outside ring.

And when I first got it, uh, well, but when it come time to paint the car, my painter and I was discussing what to do with it.

Now you can get the replacement reproductions reproduction.

Thank you, inserts, but these are actually freeze plugs.

I'll be darn inch and 7-8 freeze blood that have been chromed and epoxy get in there.

A lot of people think that they're peep mirrors, but they're so far out there they're useless as a mirror.

Well, I mean you can tell they're very.

I mean because they're polished enough.

I can see his reflection.

There's like $18 million worth of chrome on this car.

Don look down the side.

If you could down from my vantage point there is that car is glass all the way from this front fender all the way back down.

I know no, no windshield wipers.

Rainax is my best friend sometimes don if you open the door it smells like a 63 wagon but look at, yeah, but look at how wide the seats are.

I mean, three adults could ride in that comfortably.

Three.

Four, Four yeah.

Well, actually this is in 60, well, other years too, but they had six passenger and nine passenger.

This one was originally a nine passenger, meaning that it had the third rear seat, but whenever I got it it was gone.

It was history, so, but yeah, actually, back on the gun sight on one of them.

They didn't polish out the inch and 7-8s that were stamped in it.

You can still faintly see the inch and seven eights, uh, but, uh, but yeah so have you tried to find the?

The back seat.

Was the back seat, the one that looked out?

the back, yeah yeah, man, I sure would like to have that well, you know, it wasn't that big a deal for me, and then I kind of of liked having the cargo area back there too.

Yeah, yeah.

And so yeah, and was it your idea to put the mirrored half sleepy eyes on it?

They were already the headlight covers.

They were already on it whenever I bought it.

Well, it's hard to actually even tell because there's so much chrome on the front of it.

I didn't notice until you mentioned it, but it's obvious now yeah, yeah, it's been lowered, uh, three inches all the way around does it need to be lowered?

my god, the thing is a tank uh, yeah, and I look cool well it does.

His shirt is even sort of a blend.

He's kind of like doesn't uh overpower.

Well, it does look cool, All right.

So there he is His shirt is even sort of a blend.

He's kind of like doesn't overpower the match, but he's you know color coordinated with his car.

My next question is the skirts.

Yeah, fender skirts Wagons didn't come with skirts.

They were just for the Galaxies and the sportier models.

Did it fit the fender?

Same exact skirt.

Same exact skirt same, so the wheel opening is the same, yeah yeah and uh.

All I had to do is just put a couple of uh pegs in the uh clip on.

Uh, now there's these skirts.

Uh, they're still have the locking mechanism, but you had to have a couple of pegs in order to line them up and give them something otherwise they would pivot on you.

Yeah, the wheels are those Detroit wheels.

They make those in Detroit, don't they that particular wheel?

There's a company in Detroit.

Yeah, yeah, these are actually original station wagon wheels.

They're 14-inch, and how you can tell is that there's no slouch where the center meets the rim.

And for whatever reason, it's just a solid steel wheel.

It's a solid steel wheel.

Yeah, I'll be darned and I wanted 14s just.

Because you wanted those white whites on.

There is what you wanted.

Well, whenever I found it on eBay, it had American mags on it and black walls and big lures.

No, no, this is too good.

And whenever I first saw the car I thought man, that thing needs some white walls.

Yeah, it does.

And so I've come up with wheels, and originally the car was silver, but the dash and all the window bezels, they haven't been repainted, they're the same color as when I bought it, and so to me the silver and the blue didn't really click.

But I drove it like that for oh, I don't know seven years or so.

Wow.

But the first thing I did was put the wheels on.

I had them painted blue to bring that blue back out that was on the dash and everything that was on the dash and everything.

And then, when it come time to paint it, well, the only reason, one reason I went ahead and had it painted, is every time I'd wash it for a show, I'd either see an existing rust blister get worse or a new one pop up.

It's like, okay, you've got to do something here and pop up.

Yeah, it's like, okay, you've got to do something here, you know.

So I told my painter, rather than repaint uh the dash and all the uh interior, uh trim pieces, let's just go ahead and paint it blue.

And it ended up being a lucky decision, I mean no, it wasn't.

You can't tell people that you got.

To say I recently I wanted that color because, I'll be honest with you, my sister had a car similar in color.

It was a ford station wagon.

I don't remember what make it was, yeah, but it was that close to that color.

So ford had a color that was close to that back in the day, just say I've heard that.

I've heard that, uh, and I really haven't researched.

Would you ever sell?

it Would I no.

If I offered you $500,000 for that car, I bet you'd sell it.

Keith.

You're in it, keith, yeah.

So when you pull into a show like this and you've never been people don't know who you are.

Do they come running to you with?

throngs.

Well, he parked it and folks were gathering around Right.

They really do.

Yeah, there's a lot of rubbernecking, which I think is cool.

It is very cool.

Well, it turned me around when he pulled in.

Yeah, well, I will tell you that there was a day when station wagons were not cool.

The funny thing about it is today they are the hot thing.

You can't find them anywhere.

People are snapping them up left and right.

It's the original sport utility.

It is actually.

Yeah, yeah.

Well, a lot of them either were crushed or ended up in demolition derbies.

Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah.

And then crushed or parts cars, yeah, yeah and uh, oh yeah, uh, but uh, yeah, I've, I've had a lot, a lot of fun with this car a little scooter in the back of it, I did yep yeah, um, that is.

They called it a jet mobile and it was made here in Texas from 1946 until 1948 out of World War II practice bombs and the demise of them was that they were so simple that a lot of people just running down to the Army surplus store and getting an auto bomb and welding a bicycle seat to it and making your own steering and put an axle in the rear.

They had the same thing.

You know, I've only seen about maybe five out in the wild true jet mobiles.

You know I had one guy up at the invasion in Dallas.

He knew what it was and he approached me and said he has one that's never been ridden on.

It was in an old Macy's somewhere and when they got finished displaying it in their toy department they put it up in the attic and's where it's set.

Until he got it.

They were originally a red oxide primer with a yellow uh decal on them that said jet mobile.

But it's very nice, so is this your first time?

No, I used to be a director for LSSRA on three different time periods, and so, yeah, I've been behind the curtains and in front of the curtains here at the state run.

Well, this is absolutely fabulous.

Well, thank you, congratulations, and I mean that sincerely.

It's a beautiful car.

It's a driver.

I've driven it to California four times and Michigan twice, but you've done such a good job with it.

I mean really Thank you.

As you know, in this business you can go any direction that you want, but to come up with something like this, the subtlety of it actually stands out.

The striping is perfect, even the pinstriping on the hood and I'm not a pinstriping guy, but it works for that car.

That is not just a regular sign, that is a billboard of magnitude right there, it's huge.

Yeah, it is.

How much does it weigh?

Do you know?

Yeah, I don't know.

A lot yeah.

It depends on if it rolls across your foot.

What does it got about it?

How big is the gas tank?

20 gallon, 20, yeah, 20 gallons, yeah yeah, and uh, and I'll bet it sucks it down just as good as it goes in.

I get about 15, 15 that's average for today's cars, you know and uh, so yeah well, larry, it's great to talk to you.

There is a $5 admission but you get a coupon that you can go to Biff's Busby's and get a food substance.

You get a hamburger or whatever the case for that.

Then down the 21st to Saturday, you got coffee and cars mid-month with Gene Messer Ford.

That is month with gene messer ford.

That is in lubbock, texas, in case you're out in the panhandle, it's every third saturday of the month.

That's from 8 to 10.

Then you got pistons on the square at georgetown historic downtown on the 21st, which is a saturday, and that goes from 8 to 10.

Uh, gathering of unique classic cars, muscles, all that good stuff, even motorcycles, from 10 to 8 to 10 am.

And then of course we've got uh, crosby car and Truck Show the 22nd, which is a Sunday.

speaking of segues, one of the things you can do that you may not have heard about yet, you can do a segue tourway tour of downtown Granbury.

You know it's easy and the great thing about this, not only does it move fairly quickly but you've got guides that's going to tell you all the historical tidbits and some of the stories Historical Theoretically.

Even if you're a first-time Segway rider, they can make it work for you and for the ladies.

You can go find the granberry dollhouse museum now.

This is where you're going to find 6 000 dolls you're not allowed down there well, my court order says I can't go down there.

Exactly right, I was gonna let you go down there for me, yeah, no uh, so there, um, the dolls are set up in miniature scenes with a lot of detail and if you're really into the dolls, and particularly if you've got young ladies with you children that would be a great place to take them to.

Oh my God, I think you need to go to the next item on your list.

That's the Granbury Hike and Bike Trail to Hewlett Park.

Now this is an historic parkway that kind of goes and brings everybody to the park along the lake.

Now it's stroller-friendly, it's got shaded areas on it, You've got some wildlife and there's parks along the way that the kids can play.

There's wildlife right here on the End.

All you got to do is get here Now across the highway from us, right here by the main thing is the Granbury City Beach Park.

Now, this is close to the downtown square and it's across the highway, kind of sort of from Hewlett Park and it's right on the lake.

It's got a place where you can build sandcastles, picnics, you can go swimming, kayaks All of that's out there and just right across the street from us.

Then you can go.

And this is one I thought was really interesting the Acton State Historial Site.

Did I say that correctly?

We went through Acton.

Yeah, we did, yeah, well, there there's an.

Acton Methodist Church, across the street from the Acton Baptist.

Church, which is down the street from the Acton Catholic Church.

Are they all the same?

I think they're different, but you know we've got a lot of really faithful people here in town Really.

So lots of places for people to go.

Okay, did you see the cemetery?

We did, that's a state historical site.

You know what?

I'm headed in that direction as quick as I could get there.

Well, pay attention when you go by, because this is the smallest state historical site in the state of texas and this is where elizabeth crockett, wife of davy's wife is buried and they have a nice statue and a nice monument there and, uh, they've got a crockett king of the wild frontier.

We're not sure what he did.

He didn't spend a lot of state in the land of the free, sorry.

So if you're a history buff, that's a good place to go.

And uh, you're not sure what he did with his money.

He didn't spend them on singing lessons, Sorry.

So if you're a history buff, that's a good place to go, and also the Ghost and Legends Night Tour.

Now this is where you can go down through historic downtown after dark, which Don's not allowed to.

Court order says he can't go down there after dark and, Kay, it takes you around where you're going to find out about John Wilkes Booth and his connection to the town.

Oh boy, wow, Did not know that.

Well, we have an expert here.

Also, if you're looking for something else to do, that's kind of unique.

The Brazos Drive-In Movie Theater yeah, now, this is one of the last remaining operational drive-in movie theaters.

Since 1952 this thing's been going on Shows, double features and families and you can go out and sit in your lawn chairs with blankets.

We did that in New Brunsville's last year ago on the Hot Rod Tour.

It was really nice weather you could sit out there, it was really nice.

This ain't that.

No, it was cold, if I remember.

No, but it's hot now.

So, uh, that's some few things that you can do in granbury that might not be on their main tour list.

Well, you know what?

we're gonna have to get the judgment from the judge over here on whether how well you did so.

Ah yes, here they are.

Protesters destroyed five Waymo robo-taxis amid political unrest in LA on June the 8th, prompting fresh questions about the role autonomous vehicles play during troublesome times.

Video footage showed protesters spraying graffiti on the vehicles and smashing their windows and windshields.

Black smoke filled the skies.

Demonstrators set the Waymos on fire.

According to multiple media reports, one person appeared to use a makeshift flamethrower to torch at least one of the vehicles.

According to the Los Angeles Times, waymo said June 9th it has suspended its autonomous ride-hailing service because they've run out of cars.

It's not why, but I'd made that up.

Do?

you know how the Waymos got there.

The protesters took the Waymo to the protest and then destroyed the car.

I thought they called them up.

No, some of them took them.

You have to order them up because there's no driver.

Yeah, and you jump in and you say I want to go to this particular street, I want to go to the intersection of Mars and Armstrong.

Now to something completely different.

Ram is bringing its vaunted hemi back as an option on the 1500 pickup truck this summer, after dropping it for the 2025 model year.

The 5.7

liter hemi v8 with mild hybrid e-torque technology will be offered on the 2026 ram 1500.

Tradesman, bighorn express, warlock, laramie, rebel, limited and longhorn trims.

I think that's pretty much all of them.

The engine's available as a $1,200 upgrade.

Delivers 395 horsepower, 410 pound-feet of torque.

Ram CEO Tim Kaniskes made the Hemi's return a priority when he came back to the brand in December after Carl, the then-CEO, resigned.

He didn't resign, he got fired, just saying yeah, I know we're kind of brutal at times here on the In Real Time Show.

And not only that, but he hangs out where the dolls are around, oh boy, 6,000 of them 6,000 dolls.

You know that's something that you'd find the family cat parked in the middle of them and all you could see all the dolls.

Absolutely hysterical Pictures of it.
