He took an impromptu trip to the UK to see his dad, Sammy Hagar, play.
And I just kind of winging it and managed to just hook up with friends and get invitations
to Goodwood and tour the Morgan factory with Ed China from Wheeler Dealers and just running
into people and just having the best time out there.
And it seems exciting, but by the way, exhausting.
Actually, it does.
But kudos to him for just going out there and going, I'm out here and having wonderful
people go, dude, if you're out here, let's make a plan.
I got to see you Thursday or I got to see you Friday.
Let's do it.
And I've got an idea.
And we're going to go to this.
We're going to go to Chichester.
We're going to do the hill climb and you've never been there and we're going to meet up
with people.
And then we're going to, Ed China reached out and he's like, let's not just hang out
and meet for coffee.

And the thing about it is, is what great timing.
It just so happens that his dad is playing over there the week that Goodwood has happened.
I mean, yeah, I'm surprised Samy didn't go to Goodwood and try to figure that out as
well because he already flew home, right?

Like Samy, Mikey, the band is back, but Aaron's out until the end of the week, I think, just
trying to get.
Yeah, I think he comes home on Friday.
A few more events in there.
Anyway, it's going to be exciting to hear all of his stories when he comes back, but
yeah, I'm glad he's having a great time.
And so he, we were chatting back and forth.
We were texting back and forth.
I'm sure it was like late for him or being in the time change.
But he was, he was like, I've never been to Goodwood.
Like what, what do I, what do I do?
And I was like, okay, here's the difference.
There's like, there's the revival and there's the festival of speed and you're going to
the festival of speed and it's not the one where you dress up period, correct.
It's the other one.
He's like, oh yeah, I was confused.
I didn't know which one was which.
I was like, all right, you got it.
So I think he went and had a great time.
He could have dressed up period, correct and shown up, you know, whatever.
Well, he's already got a style.
Yeah, Aaron already does have a uniform.
Yeah, he dresses up Aaron, correct.
Aaron Hagar period, correct.
Yeah, he does.
So anyway, that looks like a fun event.
I wish we could go out there.
Have, wait, I don't remember if this has come up.
Have you ever gone to any of the Goodwood events?
It's a sore subject.
I was actually invited by Goodwood one year, the first year they ever had hot
rods at Goodwood at the revival.
Okay.
And Pete Shipporis, myself, Bruce Meyer and a handful of other people were
invited to go and I was in the midst of my watch company and I can't remember
if I had a trade show.
It had to be a trade show because if it would have been, I was going to my factory
in Switzerland, I would have just done a stopover, made it all work.
So I must have had a trade show in New York or Vegas or something, but I didn't
get to go and since then, I've just never, ever made the arrangements to go.
Something that is definitely on my list.
It's definitely on my bucket.
I don't know.
I think if you turn down the Duke of Richmond once, you don't get invited.
So you're going to have to sneak in now.
I'm just gonna get, you're the guy.
You're the guy that said no.
You're the guy that said no.
It's definitely worth going to.
It's definitely some cool events.
It's they have they have originated curating an event like that.
I mean, they really did.
They just they just did such great.
And the sculpture, I always am, you know, just so pleased with the sculpture
that they have out front and how it's every year.
It's different.
Yeah.
And it's huge.
It's over the top.
It's it's not, you know, just some little, you know, cool sculpture.
It's like so over the top.
Crazy.
Yes.
What a neat deal.
What if you haven't seen the announcement yet, but Goodwood announced the first
yes, Goodwood, America.
And I was doing a little bit of research into it, trying to figure out, you know,
you can sign up on the official list and you can be sort of like an early member
or whatever and they'll send you the information.
But what I found out is it sounds like it's going to be at Willow Springs,
this reimagined Willow Springs.
Now, what's interesting is they've done improvements to the track.
And I know singers involved and they're heavily involved with Goodwood as well.
So I'm sure there's some influence there.
Yes.
But when I think about going to Goodwood, I think about the town and all the little
hotels and the Airbnbs and the food you get and all of that.
You think of the lack of infrastructure around that I think of just the pile of dirt,
you know, that's surrounds.
Good, you know, that surrounds Willow Springs.
I'm like, how is this going to work?
Yeah, there's nothing out there.
There's no hotels and even the nearest town has hotels, but nothing of any consequence.
You know, it's it'll be interesting.
It'll be interesting.
It's I'm sure they have something planned.
Well, yes, I mean, one thing we know for sure is the people that organize and plan
Goodwood, the Duke of Richmond and his team.
Granted, it's his property and he has a castle there.
You know, he throws an amazing party, but they are a great they are great event planners
and they must be thinking about this, especially to the level of what they're doing.
There's like a small airport.
I don't know too much about it near Willow Springs.
You can you can land a small plane, but I don't know what the rules are on land.
You know, there's also a big, a really big airport out there.
Is there it's called the Air Force Base.
Oh, yeah. Yes.
Yes. Listen, it wouldn't surprise me if they said, can we use your runway?
We need to like to use your runway and your barracks, right?
But it'd be interesting to see how they how they pull it off.
But I mean, how can you not?
I mean, it's it's here.
It's close and it's like any event.
The first one is going to be a little, you know,
complex and have some growing paint, but it should be cool.
Yeah.
He he probably hasn't come to see it yet.
And he's saying it's going to be lush and green at where it's at, like his place.
And he'll get out there and go, oh, it's tan.
It's no wait a minute.
I'm sure the the renderings of what it could be
are way better than what it currently is.
Yes, we spent 40 million on sod and a million dollars on on water.
So that's no no doubt the track will be beautiful
because that part you can set up.
I'm just like, how do you set up hospitality
and how do you set up accommodations and how do you set up, you know, transportation
and hospitality?
You can always make work with event tents and things like that.
But it's the accommodations.
It's because there is not.
There are, like I said, there's some hotels out there.
No, motels out there, you know, but there's not a hotel
like a like a five star, four star, you know, out there, nowhere.
And and and it's not even close to LA.
So it's not like it's a good, you know,
couple hours to the nearest five star hotel.
So guys are going to be helicoptering.
I mean, there is some thought like you're like not being sarcastic.
There is some thought and going,
why don't they look at hotel agreements with Santa Clarita and and LA
and figuring out transportation going, you know, we've got VIP shuttles.
Like I get it, you're in the car for an hour and a half.
But, you know, there's helicopters, there's, you know, transportation.
There's like nice buses.
Like, can they bring people in and go, you know, we've got, you know,
think about all the buses and stuff that we go from the various hotels
within Vegas just to get to the seamish that's a 20 minute ride.
But if you had, you know, planned travel like that throughout the day
and going to various hotels, there there is a version where this could work.
Oh, absolutely.
There's yeah, but there's not even any Airbnb's up there.
Unlike Monterey, where you can.
OK, oh, we're in a really nice hat.
There's it's just not there.
It's just not up there.
You know, it's not there.
It's that's the issue, for sure.
Yeah. That'll be that'll be an interesting aspect of this.
If they do it there. Yeah. Yeah.

I was so into where people get to stay and what are they?
Yeah, that I mean, because look at Monterey as a as a good example.
Monterey doesn't have a lot of luxury hotels up there.
I mean, they've got them, but it's not like one after another.
So they fill up all the other ones and they fill up the travel lodge and they fill up them.
But there are so many Airbnbs up there as we know, you know, we've stayed them.
And the, you know, out there, there's not.
So anyways.
Hey, did you hear about the the World Endurance Championship?
They're having to move events because of the ongoing conflict with Iran.
They are they're moving their Qatar race and their eight hours of Bahrain.
It's the final two rounds of the season and they're like with all this going on
and with bombings and everything like that missile missile attacks.
They are moving those events and it's really surprising.
They're moving to Willisprings and it's it's going to be pretty.
Where are they going to stay?
Yeah, no, they're moving them to Barcelona, Spain and Monza, Italy.
And but F1 has said they're also looking at the races in the region
and possibly having to move some of theirs.
And they said that it's probably going to impact them
in the amount of about 200000000 dollars to move a couple of races.
And F1, not everybody else, just F1, just F1.
Yeah. And then you think of, you know, the WRC.
And it's just it's just amazing because, you know, you always forget about things like that.
I mean, they've had a lot in the past few years.
They've had quite a few instances where they've had hurricanes,
where they've had to move races, you know, from the South Pacific and things like that.
And I mean, that's so costly when they have to do that.
It's just not to mention all the fans who have bought tickets for there
and accommodations and made trips and everything like that.
And now they can't can't do that.
But it's pretty interesting when you look at the dynamics of that,
because you have to look first of the race itself.
It's dangerous to stage a race where there's an ongoing conflict
and where our military bases are getting missled.
Gosh, if you had a big event like that, I think that would those people in Iran
would probably love to send a missile into something like that or not.
Maybe they wouldn't.
But but you've got to look at the the economics of like
Bahrain and Qatar, they've lost all that income.
That was a huge, huge piece of their, you know, money coming in.
And and then the teams, they all have to regroup, figure out something else.
All the fans, it's it's a lot of moving parts, literally, literally.
And yeah.
There's a speaking of events, there's another event that I haven't gone to yet.
I don't know if you've gone, but it's really been getting traction.
There is the Las Vegas Concorde.
It is a really nice weekend in Concorde at the Wynn Hotel.
And it's it's I want to say it's like the weekend before.
SEMA and and you know, we're just taking a quick look at it right now
for for those of you on on YouTube.
But this looks like an amazing event.
I talked to my friend Aaron Shelby a few times and and I think he's been involved
since day one might have helped curate it or he was a judge there.
But he's been pretty active in it and absolutely loves it.
And it's just said amazing things about this event.
So I'm trying to get out there this year.
We're trying to get out to Vegas a couple of days early for SEMA
and try to swing by and check out this event.
But I mean, when you when you check it out, it's LasVegasConcord.com.
If you check it out, it it looks like they went all in.
Like they try to make it pretty pretty epic from the get go.
A lot of production, a lot of display and grandeur and things like that.
You're absolutely right. Yeah.
Funny, this video is going by and I saw briefly in there was the
the Radford car, the Radford coach built car that that Jensen Button
and one of the Lotus is on.
Yeah, it's based on that Lotus and it just reminded me that I think
either at Goodwood or just before Goodwood, they just debuted the new one
they're doing a Roadster version of it, which is really kind of yeah.
And they just launched that.
So that company is still at it.
They're still going at it.
If you guys haven't looked at the Radford car, it's pretty cool.
That's interesting.
So I hadn't heard anything about it in so long
that I wasn't aware that it was still going.
So the Radford.
So they launched.
I don't think even the Roadster is even like on their website yet, but they.
They're there. It's a cool looking car.
Funny thing, I got some trucks to talk about.
There's truck news, but
before we get into that, this is something that's kind of funny that popped up.
This is California being California, right?
Is if you're from California, you're not surprised.
Maybe other states are.
But California has has an issue with
people cheating on their DMV drivers license exams, written tests, driver tests.
And so the DMV sent out notifications to people that they suspect is
had fraudulently, you know, passed whatever test.
Yeah. See, they sent me one, Matt.
I aced my exam. OK.
And now they're saying they might have cheated.
What's interesting is they didn't say.
They didn't clarify saying people
scammed, you know, the driver's test or it was just the written test or it was the pretest.
But because you can do some of that testing online,
they think there's AI involved and people filling out the test.
I I I heard through some of the the comments of people that like work there
saying that in some instances, somebody else showed up and did the driver's test
and somehow made that work.
I don't know some sort of identity fraud,
but the DMV sent out 11000 letters to people.
Saying you need to retest or risk losing your your driver's license.
They sent out 11000 letters of people that scam the system.
It's not that difficult of a test.
I mean, it really isn't.
Well, that's the funny thing is is is really easy.
Yeah, it's, you know, I mean, the I don't think I haven't taken it in a long time.
But I don't think they even ask you about arm signals or anything anymore.
Do they write like hand signals like if you were on a bike or if somebody was
you were in your car and you saw somebody on a bike and they were doing
their hand signals, what would it mean?
Are you right? I don't know.
I I don't think they even do that anymore.
So I mean, that was the hardest part.
I remember, you know, it's like, OK, it's up right or is down right.
Yeah, you know, it's like, oh, wait, left is just straight out the door.
Down is means I'm slowing down instead of brake lights.
And then up is a right hand turn, you know, what what's funny is
a lot of states out here as well, we have another one that they don't.
Yeah, there's that one, the the old one finger salute.
The out here, we have traffic school.
So if you get a ticket, you know, and you don't want the points on your license,
you can go to traffic school.
And which is funny, this has come up a few times early in the car cast days
when when Adam Crowley was doing this with me.
One of Adam's first like he always talks about his construction jobs
and swinging hammers and being a carpenter and cleaning carpets.
But one of Adam's first comedy gigs is he taught.
A class he taught the drivers, the drivers comedy class.
So like you could pay what I remember those.
Yeah, they were they had comedy classes you'd go to on a Saturday or whatever.
Yeah, it was like the the the driver's course, you know,
the the the class, but sort of like improv involved as well.
And you know, you like you pay a premium back then, it was so cheap.
It was like, I don't know, twelve dollars for a class.
But for like for fifteen or eighteen dollars, you can go to the comedy version.
And Adam taught that's awesome.
The comedy driving school thing.
Yeah, you did that.
We were trying to explain it.
It came up again because we were walking around some place
and and explaining what it is to to Sonny Crowley to his to his son.
And he's like, you could you can do the driver's school, you know,
and I could point something because I taught the comedy version.
And suddenly it's like, what's funny about driving school?
And I was like, I am because I am I'm much funny.
It's like anything but sitting there listening to some guy
roll on about, you know, do they even have the in person ones anymore?
Isn't it all online?
I think it's all online.
And that's one of the comments that that came up was people saying maybe
they're saying maybe the driver's license course should not be online.
It should be in person only.
But but then you get just lines around the buildings, lines.
And you got to have a place to do it.
Yeah. And an instructor.
And but I just had this conversation at dinner the other night.
I was out to dinner with several people and
they're all super car owners.
So they've all been pulled over at one time.
Everyone but you.
And yes. And and they I never get pulled over and knock on wood.
Cars have to run.
Yes, the cars have to run.
And and they were talking about how.
Yeah, I had my kid take my class.
Oh, yeah, I paid one of the guys that works for me to take it.
Nobody does it, you know, they pay somebody or they have their kids do it
and then they pay their kids or like the one guy goes, yeah,
I told my kid that he could drive my Lamborghini.
You know, if if he did my class, you know, my online course.
Yeah. And so nobody does it anyway.
And the thing is, is that
and then we got off on a 1199 foundation thing out here in California.
There's the 1199 foundation, which is a donation
to the California Highway Patrol.
And when you make the donation, you get a license plate frame
that says member 1199 foundation and you get a little badge
that you put in your wallet.
And we were all discussing.
I don't belong any longer. I used to.
And we were discussing about how
if and when you get pulled over, it's like, you know,
one of the wives asked, well, well, do you just flash it to him?
Oh, no, no, no, you just slowly like in slow motion.
Open it and make sure they see that it's there
while you get your driver's license out, you know, yeah.
And he goes and they're just like, oh,
OK, you know, and some of them go back to the car
and just sit back there for a while.
Some of them talk to you.
It's like they got to spend time with you.
But then they. Yeah. Yeah.
Not not always, but 99 percent.
Not that he is tearing up the streets these days,
but the the greatest gig right now is I just spoke with Gordon McCall.
He is the creator of the Quail event at Monterey Car Week.
And and and the Jet Center Motorworks Party, which was sold to Hagerty.
He is currently the chairman of the 1199 foundation.
Right.
They used to have a big display there at the at the Motorworks
and you can renew your subscription there every year. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah, he's he's active with it, though.
He's very active with it.
He's very proud of designation.
I think Bruce Meyer was.
Bruce Meyer was for a while. Yep.
And I think that's when I did it the first time was he bent my arm
and I did it and I had it for a while.
And so it's it used to be a lot more prevalent.
Used to see a lot of those license plate frames out here in California.
I mean, when I had my Ferrari, I remember I I would see him all the time
and I didn't know what it was.
And and finally I asked him, what is this 1199 foundation?
Oh, you don't have one.
And that's when I started looking into it.
So maybe the rules have changed, like you can't just donate 500 bucks.
Maybe the donation to get the license frame now has to be very significant.
It's it's a lot more expensive.
The last time I had it, it was 1500
And I think it might have gone up from there.
So I would imagine so. Yeah.
To make it a little bit more exclusive,
but also have the donations mean be more meaningful.
Right. And now I see every once in a while, not very often,
but every once in a while,
I see somebody with a fake license plate frame, like a plastic one
that they had made at the SWAT meter or something.
And I think, dude, they'll probably just pull you over just out of spite.
If you have that on there. Yeah, that's worse.
Yeah, I'm going to pull this guy over.
Yeah, you're getting pulled over and you fraudulently claimed your part.
And he's got a low ranger badge inside his, you know, hey, yeah.
There we go. Right.
Yeah, the plastic one was in like a crackerjack box. Exactly.
You know, hey, have you ever do you ever see?
I was looking on Jalopnik recently. OK.
And I saw something that was kind of interesting that I've always wondered about.
And I found out that something that I just maybe assumed was not true.
But when you see a semi truck, especially like dump trucks and things of that nature
that excuse me, that have one axle lifted up off the ground.
Do you ever wonder what that was for?
Oh, like it. Right.
So the dual one set of their wheels. Yeah. Yeah.
I've seen it. I never really given it.
I had heard years ago, somebody.
Yeah, I said, I wonder why, you know, we were saw one in a stoplight
or something started talking about.
And this guy that I knew he goes, oh, that's because
they get charged by how many axles they have touching the ground.
And and it made sense because they do.
They get, you know, six, you know, four axle truck gets charged,
you know, more than a two axle truck.
And and and he had this big explanation for and I was OK, I believe that.
But they did this big in depth article.
And basically I found out why.
And what it is is that it does come down to some laws.
And and they did say that there's other reasons as well,
which could be what he said.
But the primary reason is how some bridges and some roads say
you cannot exceed X amount of pounds per axle.
And if they've got a load where with two axles,
it's 20,000 pounds an axle, they can drop those axles
pneumatically and it displaces some of the load to another set of axle.
And it goes down to like 16,000 pounds.
And now they can drive on a road they couldn't have otherwise.
Right. OK. It also on semi trucks,
they said some of the semi trucks or these huge oversized load trucks.
Yeah, you've seen those ones where they're hauling some huge massive
missile or something, and they got like 16 axles or 12 axles.
And I didn't realize I thought that was again to displace weight,
which it does.
But it also says that the more axles they have, the smoother it is.
And if they have a fragile item that they're hauling or something
that could shift weight or something like that,
the increase in axles helps with that as well.
So a little bit of tidmitt of information that I found. OK.
Yeah. So when I see them dragging the space shuttle around,
and it has, you know, a hundred axles.
Yeah, just all axles underneath.
It's like a caterpillar.
I mean, you know, it is. It's crazy.
So, you know, we were talking about the Goodwood Festival Speed here,
and I'm looking at their sculpture from this year.
And it's it's really cool.
They had three porches, full scale, of course.
Like hanging from these what I would call very
sixties era type of arches, you know, really, really cool.
It's always it's always cool.
I was looking up the I was looking up the sculptures.
Oh, the sculpture in Goodwood. There's there it is. Yeah.
Yeah. This one.
So, yeah, are those those are singer porches, aren't they?
Those are all singers. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
So they got about three, a little over 3000000 dollars
worth of cars and then the sculpture itself is.
Yeah, they got it. Yeah. OK.
So that's good.
First ever slant nose singer Porsche up there as well,
which, you know, my affinity for slant.
No, you are a fan for sure.
I did. I like it. Yeah.
Look, we talked about this on a previous show about all the cars
that we should have bought when they were still very affordable.

OK, we are back and news from from both Roush and Shelby.
So aftermarket truck packages, if you want to do a little bit of off-roading,
then you certainly can because now Roush has a post title package for the Ram 1500.
It's called the Ram 1500 direct connection by Roush package.
And this one is no real power adder.
The only thing performance wise, as far as horsepower would be potentially
a catback exhaust system, but it takes the Ram 1500.
And the this package is sort of a.
It it's it adds suspension system for it.
So you get you get a coilover design system.
It's the Roush performance 2.0 coilover system.
It's got a twin tube hydraulic dampers on it.
It's got 33 inch tires.
The catback exhaust system to it.
You can also get the the there's some exterior and interior upgrades for it.
There's a hood vents and graphics package if you want that stuff.
And there is the interior package.
You can get the Roush leather interior package for it on the the drive trains,
the 392 rear axles, the E-locker.
It's got the protection groups, skid plates, trailer brake controller,
all that good stuff on it.
And it's good. It looks good.
Now, you can add this as a dealer installed package.
You can order it, I believe, through direct connection.
Through your dealer, it adds 15,995 dollars to the price of your truck.
So you could probably get the whole thing, the truck and the package for about
79000 dollars.
Keep in mind that all of the Roush stuff comes with a three year,
36000 mile warranty on their components.
And then the truck is covered under whatever Rams warranty is on that.
So a nice little package if you're looking to add some performance to the.
Ram 1500.
That's the off road package.
Now, if you want to spend some money off road, it's not a street truck.
Right. That's the off road package.
That's lifted 33 inch tires.
Somewhere, you know, not Ram, TRX money, right?
So if you just want the regular RAM, but you want an off road suspension,
interior upgrades and some exclusivity to there's potentially some resale value there.
But if you want to stuff, you might do to your truck, but you package it,
you get it, it's under warranty and you drive off the lot.
Right. And but with the graphics package and the hood and some stuff like that to it,
which is kind of cool, the Roush interior.
It's got kind of a diamond stitched kind of looking Roush leather package,
which is nice. They do a good quality stuff.
So yeah, so a little bit more than just doing like suspension upgrades.
Obviously, you could do the suspension upgrades for in the catback exhaust
for less money than the 16000 dollar package.
But this is meant to be a turnkey system for sixteen grand.
You get all of the stuff and it's all covered under warranty.
Now, going in the opposite direction.
If you want a street truck, but you really want kind of the ultimate street truck.
Now, this is interesting because we talked a little while ago about RAM
coming out with the Rumblebee SRT, the 700 and 77 horsepower.
It's like the TRX engine, but in a lower street truck, adjustable suspension.
It's actually very, very cool. I'm excited about that truck.
I can't wait to drive one of those things.
I think that's going to be cool.
So because Ford doesn't have a high performance street truck.
Now, they gave us the Lobo, but they kind of dropped the ball on that.
It doesn't have a lot of the higher end features, you know, leather interior
and heated and cooled seats and stuff like that.
And there's no performance upgrade.
It was just meant to be sort of a jumping off point.
If you want to modify a crew cab truck because it has the five liter
Coyote engine in it, where now and I'm not sure if you knew this,
but the top trim model for trucks like the King Ranch in the platinum,
you can't get it with the with the eight cylinder.
You can only get it with the six cylinder or the hybrid. What?
Yeah, you can't get it with the eight cylinder.
So they've done this for a few years now.
So some people are getting like the standard, you know, cab two door trucks
or the like the ST or STX or whatever it is now.
I don't remember all the trim models with the V8.
But then you don't get all of the higher end features, you know.
So you're saying I've got to buy the performance one
and then I've got to buy a King Ranch and I got to swap the interiors
and everything like that. Right.
So yeah, you get you get more of the entry level model truck
and then you can do the interior upgrades and you get the V8 or you can do.
You know, there's not much you can do if you get there's minor modifications
you can do to the six cylinder or the hybrid six cylinder,
but you can't get that V8 power.
The way to do it is you step over to Shelby American
and Shelby American now has a post title package
that they just launched their configurator on their on their website.
And I'll because they have that there, I'll share that.
I'll show you guys that.
But this is the new Shelby F 150 Super Snake
and the Super Snakes have always been the highest end versions of their vehicles.
And so the Super Snake is the four door crew cab truck.
It's lower. It's got a ground effects package on it.
It's got an aggressive hood.
The Shelby Stripes, big front air dam on it.
But this also includes the Whipple Super
Charge, the stage two supercharger, 800 and ten horsepower package.
Which looks really, really cool.
You get the Michelin Piles Sport, a S four tires, 22 inch wheels.
It's on King adjustable coilovers on a lowered suspension.
Borla Catback exhaust.
These are more exclusive.
You get the serial number.
You get all the badging and the the the.
I guess the rarity of it, if you will.
Now, this isn't a 79000 dollar truck, though.
This car, this truck set you back almost 100 and 41000 dollars.
That's not the package.
That's the whole truck.
So you can order this thing direct from from Shelby
American or through their dealer network.
But if you want the ultimate street truck, this is it.
This thing is going to haul the bacon.
I got to tell you, I'm surprised down here in Orange County,
how many of these Shelby pickup trucks I see.
I've seen a number of you running around.
A few years I went and toured the Shelby American factory in Vegas.
And it's an incredible facility.
It's big.
They they do a great job over there.
And they were building trucks and they were building Shelby Mustangs.
And they tell me that they they build and sell
twice as many, maybe more than twice as many Shelby trucks
as they do the the the Mustangs.
They have an off road version as well.
And I don't know if you saw this online.
I sent it over to my friends at Shelby.
I was like, hey, if you guys are looking for a free promotion
from the best of the best, the Rock did a video of his Shelby truck,
all blacked out Shelby truck.
And he's like, here's my Shelby truck.
I love this thing.
And he's kind of doing like a little like just an Instagram
walkthrough of his Shelby truck.
He's got the off road version of it, which is kind of cool.
So, you know, good for Shelby, man.
The Rock just did a video for you for free.
No kidding. That's great promotion.
That's great promotion.
Yeah, you know, every company wants that.
Now, the Shelby Super Snake.
Is more money than what the Ram
Rumblebee SRT will be.
Now, you can argue exclusivity and some other features.
And I guess you kind of have to look at them side by side.
And maybe you're just a Ford guy or a Ram guy.
But it's going to be I think it's a hundred and something thousand.
But it's not a hundred and 40000
It's a hundred and three or a hundred and eight.
Don't quote me on that because they haven't really released the exact
pricing on those things.
But I would expect around that 100000 dollar mark for the Rumblebee SRT.
There's three Rumblebees, three versions, sort of a small, medium and large, if you will.
But the SRT is the big one with the 777 horsepower.
You need a new truck, Brad.
Why don't you get one?
Yeah, you know what?
My days of customized trucks are over, I think.
I've had so many of them.
I'm I'm ready for something a little different, I think something a little different.
I am really fighting with what to get.
And then I was really upset with GMC.
I will say it right here in the public
when they're offering all this zero percent financing
on their pickup trucks.
I'm like, wait a minute, can't you do zero percent financing on your Yukon excels?
I mean, I would run down tomorrow and buy a brand new Yukon XL if they would do
zero percent financing.
That's like that's free money.
That's free money.
Yeah.
Now, well, you got to go to the dealer.
You got to beat them up.
You got to talk to them, say, make me a deal.
I'm ready to buy.
I'm ready to go.
If you can't do zero percent financing, then maybe adjust the price of the vehicle
to compensate for what you'd be spending on that interest.
Zero percent just sounds so good, though.
It does.
It's so free.
It's so free.
It's like you can't go wrong with that.
There was a bit of news that I read the other day, I think it was on Sunday,
that Orange County, California has a new record that they've made.
They now have more people than anywhere else in the United States
that own Bond Speed Streetwear T-shirts.
Oh, no, that's not it.
Okay, no.
They have more people in the United States than anywhere in the United States
that have a car payment that is $2,000 a month or more.
That doesn't surprise me.
So a friend was just looking at leasing a car and saying,
what's Porsche got going on right now?
What's going on with Panamera and Taycan and Cayenne and the nice daily driver utility
Porsches, if you will.
And I was like, let me find out.
So we reached out and we got some quotes.
And every one of the leases was basically $10,000 down and more than $2,000 a month.
Some were $2,000, some $2,100, some was like $1980, but it was all $2,000 a month.
So if you want to lease a Porsche as a daily driver,
everything's going to cost you $2,000 a month.
And nobody leases more Porsches than Orange County.
You do see quite a number of them.
But it's just amazing.
You just think of people that we've talked about in our other shows where I've never
been a big fan of financing a car for a long time.
I try and do two years, three years, and just hit a big payment and be done with it.
Then I own it and I have a little equity in it.
I learned that the hard way.
The very first new car I ever bought was a Monte Carlo SS in 1984.
And I went in and I fell into the trap of how much do you want your car payment to be?
And I, whoa, I want it to be this much.
And I felt like I never owned that car.
I'd look at the value of what I could sell it for versus what I owed it.
And it was almost always about the same.
And I was like, come on, man, I've been paying on this thing for years.
Shouldn't it be better than that?
But pretty interesting.
Pretty interesting that there's that many people.
And I'll bet you if I look through my neighborhood,
there's a number of people that have two car payments of $200 or more.
We did an episode of Car Cast a little while ago.
We often bring in, a couple of times a year, we bring in
Jessica Caldwell, the head of insights at Edmunds.
And she had talked about how now more than ever,
people have been rolling over negative equity into their next car loan.
Because the cars that they had are worth less than what they owe.
You could have a $50,000 on a $40,000 car.
And you got to take that 10 grand and roll it into your next loan.
And so you're paying $10,000 extra.
So you've got this negative equity you're rolling into that car payment.
That's a brutal cycle.
You definitely don't want to be in that position.
There's people that roll it.
Then a couple of years later, they get another new car and then roll it again.
And all of a sudden, they've got a $100,000, $30,000 car.
Yeah, they got a $100,000 loan on a $30,000 car.
Yeah, gosh, that's just scary.
That is just, just scary.
All right, so I think we're kind of wrapping things up.
