Good morning. Good morning. That's time of year. Yeah, you know, we're doing a last show with us for the year. I've got some more content to put up and I've got a great interview with Larry Webster from Haggardy that will put up during the break as well. So it won't be just crickets. But we will be back January 1st week of January.
We're going to record January 7th. So probably that night as usual, you guys will get the show. But yeah, it's been good. It's been fun. It's been an interesting year.
It has been an interesting year. That is an absolute understatement. Whether it be the demise of the letter car or the quote unquote attempted resurgence of the Dodge slash Ram brand.
Definitely a sort of a reboot, if you will, in the car world. Yeah.
You know, one one administration was kind of forcing, if you will, EVs, and then and then the next administration's like, we're not doing that. But it's really just kind of how people responded. It's just like, well,
what do we really want? And there's going to be a balance. It's just not what, what was sort of told to us. It wasn't going to be, you know, 80% EVs and 20% gas engine cars.
And then anything in 2020, 2025, 2024 is you can't direct the public into a decision. You can't do it. You have to give them options. And whether it's in the automotive world or whether it's, you know, who you're going to vote for, it doesn't, doesn't matter.
At the end of the day, the people have the opportunity to make the decision and are not forced upon anything good, better, and different. They feel as though they have the power. And that's all they want.
Yeah. And we've said this before as well. It's like anytime you, you, you threaten to take away something from, from the people, they double down on that thing. You know,
that we do as human beings, you know, but, you know, also interesting stuff. I mean, the Cobra project was super interesting. The, the 15 or 20 different rounds of garage stores, the garage need before you figured out, which wasn't just a 2025 thing.
That was, that's been since the beginning on set of time, since, since day one with that. But now that it's, it's there, it's settled. It's kind of got, it's, it's got worked out.
Yeah, I mean, looking back on it, like in different phases. Yes, I believe that, and I kind of looked at this last night.
It was a pain in the ass to build. There are issues that people have in building any type of structure. You're always going to be second guessing yourself.
At the end of the day, I truly believe that it's to a point right now where I can, I can enjoy it. I can use it. It's functional.
It's not a showroom. It's a place where I can come out here and it serves the exact purpose as to why I built it. So all the bitching and moaning aside, I'm ecstatic with this place.
I mean, there always can be upgrades and things that you did wrong. But hey, I truly believe that when it's all washed out, I'm ahead of the game.
And the point is to actually use it and have it fill the purpose of why I built it.
And it's done that. I mean, certainly I'll place the house, the cars, but a place to work on the cars. You've got the gym in there. You've hosted events there.
You know, like, it just turned into kind of everything that you wanted it to be. Even if there are some things you may change now or in retrospect, maybe would have done things a little differently.
It's doing, you know, this amazing garage is doing what you wanted it to do. You know, it's it's.
It's kind of doing it against not against its will, but these events, these things that are happening are just happening.
They're none of them are planned, right? So I mean, once I have the space, it serves its purpose. Now I can start planning stuff. I can plan television programs being shot here. I can plan events.
You know, it would be a done here. I can plan a month to wear. Okay. This car is going to be in this stall. We're going to work on it for this amount of time. And it's not going to be interrupted by any other thing that happens in the garage. So yeah, it's it's plus the things that you've you've done there.
And you know, you've had the high school kids, the shop classes over here, veterans over, you'd have law enforcement over and they've tailored the garage and film stuff and just said, you know, just said high.
And that was a big part of what you wanted with this place too. You know, as much of a private person as I am and the fact that I do have it on my property.
Part of the reason why I built it was to share it with others and whether it's through YouTube or whether it's through special events like the having the veterans come over on veterans day, you know, it was like a last minute, you know, last 24 hour put let's throw it together thing.
But I have the space and hey, man, if if nothing else, then the ability to have my friends over and enjoy the space with them as to why it was built, whether it be working on the cars, whether it be training upstairs.
I got Clint.
Clint and I met about a year ago. Yeah, he's from CGC from CGC.
I reached out to do the Sarah coding.
Yeah, that was all that was going to be done.
That turned into him doing the wiring for the Cobra coming over weekly and now coming over, you know, two or three or four times a week at night where we work on the car for about an hour and then we train.
Right. Yeah.
You know, Andy was over last night training, gauge has his buddies over training at the same time.
It's it's truly provided us with what we wanted our dream was in the beginning.
So it's really cool to in the end just be able to use it as a functional garage where you and your buddies can wrench on cars.
And in the beginning, I never thought that it would be that I wanted it to be that, but I thought because of how I built it that I just wasn't going to able to get dirt everywhere.
Man, now there's filled everywhere in this garage and the battle that I have unfortunately is keeping a clean, but I'm not going to not worry about getting a dirty because it's a garage.
It's not right. Exactly. Yeah.
I've been able to get stuff done in here that I never would have imagined that I would have done because I'm so anal retented with cleanliness.
You know, but man, got to do it. Got to do it. Having fun.
Yeah. Well, listen, I'm glad that turned out the way it did and it's you're inviting you're making it so inviting for everybody.
So it's a cool. Yeah. Yeah. That's the thing. It's just, you know, you guys were so in on other than the events that popped up, you said you haven't really planned anything yet because you guys were doing this cober project.
And that was, you know, the focus and even doing that project starting to figure out like where in the garage you do that project, where are you going to keep your tools? How far is it from the thing?
Just, you know, how to clean up afterward, you know, just power the air tools, just like everything you start to figure out as part of that build project.
It's also dialing in the garage. So that's kind of a fun thing over the past year.
It's an active, it's been an active participation in the build up and the end result will never be attained and it'll always, you know, what I always want to do different things.
But man, it's it's it's therapy and it really is awesome. At this time of my life, I can actually reach out and touch these cars and work on them to the extent that I want to work on them.
I mean, I probably put 60 hours into the clean and the engine compartment of the Porsche in the last two weeks.
Yeah, it's not because anyone forced me to. It's because I really enjoy it and it's there.
And now you have the resources and the space to do it, right? It's not just jammed into a garage.
For the most part, you know, I need I need a I need a gnarly drill press, but you know, there are little tiny things that need to be purchased to fill that void.
But that's where I am. I might want one or two piece puzzle, you know, to complete it.
I think some people forget there's the wash bay out back as well attached on for a yeah, thank you. Thank God.
You know, which is super convenient, right? Not even just for the cars like you need to grab some dirty parts and stuff.
You can just kind of wash some things off over there if you need to.
I drove the property last night because it started sprinkling here and it gave me the opportunity to, you know, to break up the soil, right?
So I dragged, you know, 20 acre, whatever the hell it was.
And then the thing is absolutely filthy. So I don't want to be driving the the four wheeler on, you know, the pavement because it's got it's freaking completely full of mud.
Yeah, with a wash bay, euthanize it, you know, I mean, it's great. It's just it's really fantastic.
So some of the things that I did with this build were epic.
You know, 90% of them were epic, not having a front door, not epic.
That's right. Is there just like, there's not like a regular door? Is it all just a roll-up door?
It's a 360 foot structure within the only two doors are on either end of it.
Yeah. Okay.
16 garage doors around, but there is no front. There's no literal door.
So yes, that was a complete screw up on my end, but it is what it is.
Yeah, I guess you can work around that. But yeah, that's an interesting thing.
Because when you see the sketches and everything, you're like, oh, it looks amazing.
You're like, how am I going to get into it?
Because all the renderings and everything would look really good.
I mean, it's a testament to the garage doors.
You know, now functioning that I have to open one up like eight times a day just to enter my structure.
Yeah. Right. Okay. Yeah. That's an interesting thought.
But you know, it's kind of like how many builders when they when they're sketching that rendering,
you know, like Chip Foose was on a little while ago, sketching the rendering,
they don't put mirrors on it because mirrors are like, they look terrible,
but then you realize like you need them on your actual car.
Same thing with like the renderings of this garage.
Like, if I put the front door there, it's going to look goofy.
You know, so you don't even think about it.
And then you forget, but then you forget about it.
You're like, where did it go? How do I get in?
It's like military buddies. I'm adapting and overcoming David.
Gage going off to college, playing football out of the house.
Like, that's a big thing this year.
Yeah. It was up and down season for sure.
And yes, just having him away for that second year,
it was a test and a testament to our ability to function as normal human beings without him.
It's tough.
It though I must say right now, as we speak,
we got him home for the entire month of December almost.
Yeah.
As a college athlete that plays for a division one school that's usually at a bowl game,
that's a, that's almost impossible.
I never got a holiday in college.
Never. Yeah.
I was never home for a holiday.
And the fact that he's about last year.
I mean, he had a bowl game in San Antonio, right?
Yeah.
It was just really serendipitous.
But yeah, he has the whole month.
And I hope he understands that he needs to take advantage of that time.
Because it ain't never, it ain't going to happen again.
Yeah.
That's you and Wanda when he's home for a month that you're like,
Oh, I forgot how much this kid eats.
Or needs to eat or.
Yeah.
But then again, I'm used to feeding myself as far as getting prepped for things.
So it's a constant 24 hour prep for him 12 months out of the year.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I helped with the cooking and.
Yeah, it's no different than cooking for me.
But now he's got a buddy here with him,
another linebacker from Colorado that's been here for three or four days.
Yeah, that's like.
Like feed and half a football thing.
Yeah, right.
Did you guys all hit the gym yesterday?
Clip him over at all four of you guys go up in there?
Actually, no gauge in bow, drove up to Austin at seven o'clock in the morning
and trained at this thing called the collective.
Okay.
And it's where most of the professional athletes around the Austin area train
a bunch of UT kids.
And they bust they go up there and bust their ass.
He got home, they got home probably three o'clock in the afternoon.
Didn't even make it to the gym last night because they got worked so hard during the day.
And Clint and I and.
Andy trained last night.
So, okay.
Yeah, it's cool.
Man, it's awesome.
It's really cool to have the ability to work during the afternoon.
And then with the guys, they go home, they eat dinner and then they come back
and we train in the evening and just hang out, man.
It's a friendly atmosphere.
It's cool.
Yeah, when we had the when we had the shop out here before they sold the building and stuff,
you know, we built, yeah, I built a decent gym in there.
Not quite to the, you know, to this, to the spec that you guys have.
It wasn't anything that we would ever need quite like that.
And yeah, I just had, you know, I had a trainer or a Popeye and trainer of the people
and had some friends of pop in and use it a little bit.
And even if I was doing podcasts or recording or something in the on the other side of the garage,
they're like, yeah, have that.
That's why we got it.
It's awesome.
I was thinking about moving the pool table up here.
And I need to get a nice couched area downstairs here.
So at a nice big retro fridge so that I can put some cold ones in there so that we can relax
and hang at some point.
Yeah.
Did you build a kitchen in there?
I was going to, but I did not.
I wanted the space and I really don't need to be eaten up here.
It's no big, you know, I could take out an up here.
There's no reason to dedicate an area and take it away from being something else to be a kitchen.
Yeah.
I need a fridge for sure.
And I need an area to sit.
And, you know, the only thing that I have to sit on downstairs, thank God for the vipershare boys.
But I got five vipershairs.
But other than that, there's no seating downstairs.
So I'm going to get a big, you know, a round couch area and maybe put the podcast out there.
You never know.
Yeah, you know, I think one of the things that in Adam's places,
what we did in a couple of those places was there was lounge areas and there was cars and stuff.
And then when we did invite people over for, you know, like if he was just watching football on a Sunday with a bunch of the guys,
or we did a screening for a movie or whatever, there was usually just like a big table seating area.
And then when we needed it, we had a screen come down and there was a projector.
The projector was mounted up high and was there all the time.
And but the screen would fold up kind of in the middle of the room.
It would just roll up into the ceiling and then that was it.
And when we needed it, it would just drop down and hang.
And in the second place, he has a couch like that.
He built his couches.
No, I'm saying.
Yeah.
Nobody who has a couch that can fold up and go up.
Oh, right.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's that's the thing.
Yeah.
Like behind you, right?
Imagine putting the couch right in the middle of there in front of the,
you're lightning in the car.
Yeah.
Right.
When you're not using it, what do you freaking do with it?
Because it's in the way.
Yeah.
So we had a table.
We had a couch there.
And then when we did like a screening event, we,
we just moved them into another part of the room where the cars were
and then lined up, you know, 50 chairs, you know,
fold up chairs for like a, for like a screening event or like a press event.
And we, we used the shop once for,
for like a, for some motorsport press event.
And the, for some motorsport guys came in and then we,
yeah, a couple dudes, we just moved everything out of the lounge area.
And then they covered some of the skylights on the roof of the building
from the outside to make it darker.
And, and we just taped down extension cords and put like 10 or 15 gaming
stations, simulators in there.
And a bunch of like press people just came and played video games for like,
like 48 hours, like during E3 or whatever.
It was, you know, and then they could walk around and see the car collection
and everything else like that and meet with the press people.
So we did, oftentimes it would have to be kind of modular.
It's like what we're doing.
If we're going to host a Christmas party there,
we'd have to move some of the cars out, put some big tables in lines.
So the, but the, the full-down screens were a big thing.
In the second place where Adam built his like the loft, the mezzanine,
like yours has the gym up there.
His was the lounge area.
Right, because he didn't have the gym.
The car collection was down below.
And then there was like a work area.
Like you're talking about sort of the messier area.
And that top area was built out with a kitchen and tables and some high tops and couches.
And then you'd look out over the car collection.
And there was a screen that would come down from there too.
Or we can project onto the back wall.
Like if we had people over and we want to have multiple screens.
Like if it was a, you know, like a Super Bowl party, right?
You can have a screen that come down and half the room is facing one way.
And another screen is like floating above.
Off the loft of, you know, on to a wall.
You can do it that way.
Like it's some pretty upstairs here.
We got the gym.
Yeah.
And at the other end, you got, you know, a big warm couch.
And you got two monster chairs.
And you got to forget.
But 80 inch TV on that side.
And you got a 60 inch TV on the other side.
So yeah.
Yeah.
So you're getting it.
But it's just the way it's configured.
There's.
There's not a good.
I need.
I need seating downstairs.
So I just got to figure it out.
Yeah.
But yeah.
You know, like you said, the guys come over all the time.
So it's easy to go. Hey guys, let's move some shit around.
Help me out here.
You know, let's move a couch.
Let's move.
You know, today's workout is furniture.
Or at least when Gabe is doing that a lot.
We, we, you know, listen, get the youngsters to do it.
Gages in town.
If his buddies there, you're like, you know what you guys can do for me today.
And I feel guilty.
So I, you know, you could come in and help move some shit around.
What do you do over the break?
I help Goldberg move some shit around.
Yeah.
It's like, yeah, I went to.
Dad made us work in the garage for a bit.
Yeah.
Listen, it's a month.
It's not the whole thing.
It's the vacation.
You still got to still got to do some chores around the house.
Come on.
Just a little bit.
Just a little bit.
You can get eggs this morning.
Yeah.
So.
You got eggs this morning.
All right.
It's good.
Now, how's the portion coming along?
You said it's, it's coming along well.
You know, my, the issue I have right now is.
I'm going through every single centimeter of this vehicle.
I'm done cleaning it.
Changed the oil the other day, a oil filter.
And, you know, it's a sump motor.
And.
I'm having, I was having a hard time getting it up to 10th.
And getting it to read properly as far as the oil level.
And the, the.
Lev, the oil level gauge is not working.
The float must be there's something, something going on with it.
So I'm just trying to.
Get everything dialed in 100% on it.
I got to take it out.
It's been raining a little bit.
So I don't want to.
I bet that's it all this time.
Cleaning it.
I'm not going to get it filthy right now.
Yeah.
The next couple days I'm going to take it out and shake it down a little bit.
You know, the thing just hasn't been driven that much.
And so I just need to make sure that it's a hundred point.
Not a do over, but a look over.
And we're, we're at the end of the row.
I've just got to get one thing touched up pain wise and get some good photos on it and.
Slap it up.
I'll bring a trail.
Yeah.
So, um, we haven't really said that yet, but the plan is to sell it.
It's just time for, for it to move on to somebody else and maybe find something else for the, for the, for the collection over there and.
Yeah.
When you, when you collect vehicles, you always want to be, uh, advantageous, right?
And I think it's time.
We, the car's been sitting for a long period of time.
Um, in between drives and someone needs to appreciate it a little bit more than we're able to appreciate at the moment.
Wanda's.
Love in her F 250 more than anything in the world along with her grenadier.
Yeah, she got the NES to grenadier.
You know, um, we got somebody on the, on our main road here that's building a 50,000 square foot house.
It's going to take two or three years.
And so the road, the roads aren't, the road is not great as of right now.
And so it's got pebble.
You know, I just don't want to take that car out and drive it a lot.
Yeah.
So again, it's, I think it's time.
It's, it's not because we need to sell it by any stretch imagination.
But as I said, when you're a car collector, you look to the advantageous times for the car in the marketplace.
And I think it's the time.
And I think someone can appreciate it a little bit more than we can.
So yeah, all right.
I mean, I, I think, um, I think it'll do well up there.
It's a cool piece.
It looks good.
Uh, it's got some tasteful modifications to it.
It's a great car to, to run around with.
Yeah, I think it's going to be a dream come true for somebody.
Um, because when you take it for what it's worth, man, it's a killer car.
Yeah.
We've just, it's been over pushed to the side for years, you know.
And it's, it's coming to the forefront as far as collectors are concerned.
We see what a number of them have done at auction sites and it bring a trailer over the past year.
And like I said, I think it's the time.
Yeah.
What is it?
92.
What year is that?
92, 9, 11 turbo.
I mean, in 91 and 92, they made like 3200 of them.
Um, it's a, it's a, it's a really nice car.
42,850 miles on it.
Um, probably a couple thousand since I've owned it, owned it probably 15 years.
And it's been an absolute dream.
Always starts up.
Uh, it, it provides that killer 9, 11 turbo feeling that, you know, people long for it.
Yeah.
The air-cooled engine.
I mean, it's really tricked learning, going over this car every inch of it.
Um, I've had, I've had the ability to learn about it, right?
Yeah.
And I didn't know much about this car before I've got my hands on it, but it's really,
it's a technological frickin' masterpiece.
It's really cool.
And I can see why people like these air-cooled cars.
And so again, I, I appreciate it, but I think there's someone out there that will
appreciate it a little bit more than me.
And we'll covet it.
Like I do like the law man in the collection.
Right.
And so I think it's time.
Yeah.
Okay.
Got rid of the Yanco, right?
There was a Colorado Springs that had frickin' 15 of them.
And he wanted to buy a grotto blue one for his son's birthday, right?
And so at the time, he could appreciate it a lot more than I could.
Because then with the car that was covered up and gauged, never even knew I had it for like five years.
Because I never drove it.
You know, so, you know, for it to be the pinnacle in his collection,
to be the last one that he satiated every single color of the Yanco line.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's cool.
It means a lot to him and his collection and it meant a lot more to him than me.
So it was time.
And that's kind of what we want.
That is you want to find somebody that in a perfect row.
Yeah.
Somebody that's been looking for that spec or been kind of holding out or find something to fill up the collection.
Or finally, someone's going, you know, it was just my wishless car.
I could never really get it before.
Now's the opportunity to get it and go, that's the one I want.
That's the spec I want.
That's the right way to do it.
And I think with large collections need to think about that more often.
And I'm not trying to be, oh, the goodie, goodie guy.
You know, and let's make everybody happy because people own these cars for monetary gain, right?
But truthfully, it'd be neat if everybody could sit back and go, you know what?
If I got rid of that one, which doesn't mean that much to me,
it would frickin' make this dude's life.
Yeah.
I mean, it sounds like a Hollywood movie, right?
But I mean, I think a couple people need to think about that a little bit more often.
I don't know.
All right.
So, yeah, next year.
Well, beginning of next year, we'll get it up on bringing trailer and we'll definitely keep everybody updated
and anybody's interested in that car.
It's a cool piece.
But yeah, so that's the official announcement.
We never really said before what the plan was going to be.
But the plan is going to be to say it.
You know, I've done a pair of Jackson so many times.
And there's a time and a place for everything.
And strategically, you try to place it at the best place to get the most for your vehicle.
And I think it's time to bring a trailer.
We've had him on the show a couple of times.
And I think it's come to the forefront.
I think it was one of the new ways to really get cool cars out there.
And if people think that bring a trailer is just, you know, pieces of crap that people are throwing up.
Oh, no.
Oh, no.
And we're talking about it.
That's all I learned that because in the beginning, that's, you know,
auto trader, right?
Back in the day, you'd go into any convenience store and you pick up that, I don't know, $0.50,
whatever the hell it was that had all the local cars in it.
Right?
It's not bad by any stretch of imagination.
Right.
And if anything, it's at the other end of that spectrum.
Now, they do have something for everybody.
But the amount of high quality cars that they have is pretty unbelievable.
And it's a consistent thing that it's not like once a year, they, you know,
you go on, bring a trailer, you see some cool cars, you can do this daily.
Yeah, there's something like 600 listings a week.
But you, you know, you get on, you know, you get on the mailing list and you,
and you look at, you could subscribe to certain cars.
Like, you know, for me, just for fun, there are certain, like Lamborghini,
it's like a mirror or something that pops up.
I'll get an email or certain Fox body muscles.
I'll get an email about it.
I'm just trying to think about the stuff that I've done on, on bringing a trailer,
looking at my sale history.
And of course, this is a couple of cars that were mine, but for other people as well,
you know, that have reached out and said, you know, help me with the listing.
Let's get a photograph and things like that.
Yeah, listen, the cyber truck, it was the first cyber truck on bringing a trailer.
It did well.
I sold my sack car up there.
A buddy, my Dave Houston, his 7,000 mile 2003 Corvette 06.
That was cool.
The supercharged BMW M3 that Adam had, that then I had.
And this is not by any means an ad for bringing a trailer.
No, it's paying us to say this, right?
Right. Absolutely.
100%.
I sold a 9,000 mile 2015 911 GT3 on that site.
I sold my alpha male, my alpha male spider, a 4 GT, a 4,000 mile 2006 4 GT.
I sold the 74 Pantera GTS.
You're a, you're a, this isn't, you're not a newbie on bringing traces.
No, I mean, I'm not a dealer or anything.
But in and some cool cars, the very first car I ever sold up there was a 99 Jaguar XJR.
Nice.
That was another car that Adam had.
And then there was a couple small issues with it.
And you know, he was just looking to replace it.
It was kind of like the road trip car.
Like once a year, him and his buddies would take it to Monterey.
And then eventually like we, you know, got our hands on a few press cars and stuff
and started doing that.
And, and you know, so I took the car.
I drove it for a year or so, fixed some things on it.
And, and then when it was time to get rid of it, I put it on bringing a trailer.
And I'm pretty sure that car went to Europe.
It went back over to somebody, love the spec, love what we did to it.
And said, I'm going to buy it.
And then I remember them going, I'm buying it.
And then someone's going to pick it up and they're taking it to the port like a long beach
and it's, it's getting on a boat and it's coming over.
I was like, all right, man, that's, that's what you want to do.
That's why it would be.
Yeah, that was a cool car.
But yeah, the race car has been up there as well.
We sold a 79 Dots in 280 ZX.
The, the Jim Fitzgerald car.
We had a Dots in Bluebird.
A race car, a 240 Z race car.
I think that was a Bob Sharp car.
So the 72 BMW 3.0 CS, like a Batmobile car.
One of the wide body big, you know, group two cars.
That was a cool piece to actually a friend of mine bought that car.
Those are all like cool niche cars, right?
So I mean, is Bringen trailer the place that?
Well, so what I was thinking about with your Porsche, right?
So it's an air-cooled turbo.
That's going to do well.
Bringen trailer, nothing of Barrett Jackson.
We love Barrett Jackson, but.
But Barrett Jackson, you know, they get a lot of modified cars.
They get some numbers matching cars.
Do well with the muscle cars and some more modern exotics.
I would, I would think.
Maybe a slightly modified 911 turbo.
It's probably not what Barrett Jackson is known for.
Now, if we take, we look at something like broad arrow or gooding or RM,
like at Monterey car week.
I think during Monterey car week people are looking for more of a numbers matching
all stock kind of, you know, rapper car.
And, and although I think this car would do well there,
it's getting the modified car there.
Slightly modified car there is not normally what would Monterey car was about.
I'm sorry for everything.
And again, you have to identify what is the best,
where is the best place for that niche type of vehicle to go?
Whether it's an auction of Barrett Jackson, you know, a meek.
A good, whatever or a bring a trailer.
So I mean, there's so many things per that vehicle you have to take into consideration.
And as I said, I mean, this is a high, high, high price car.
And every time you decide, you roll the dice.
But I think this is the right place for.
Yeah, I think so too.
And I should reach out to them as well as, because it's been a minute,
we should invite one of the guys from bring a trailer back on the podcast.
And kind of get a download from them how their year has been because,
man, they were going nuts.
I mean, I'm going crazy.
The amount of sales.
I'm going to have them strategically timed on the show.
Yeah, it might be, it might be worth checking in with those guys
and seeing how they've been doing.
But yeah, let's, let's take a quick break.
We'll be right back.

Okay, so, listen, as we wrap up,
we were talking about sort of the auto industry rebooting and we were talking about Porsche.
So it's kind of interesting that the box turned the came in when Porsche was saying,
hey, we're going to move these to electric.
And then in my head, I was like, it's such a small car.
And I get it, you can do a battery down low in the middle, good center of gravity.
But it's such a small car.
I don't know what kind of range it's going to get.
Like, it's our new battery technology.
And anyway, they're still moving forward with the electric.
But then they said,
we're going to keep the existing platform.
So the EV would be a clean sheet of paper.
Platform, right?
The existing platform would continue as a gas engine car,
but only for like the GT4, the boxer and came in GT4, GT4 RS.
Just the highest end of those cars.
So you'd get the regular boxer and came in would be EV.
And those two high performance variants would be gas engine.
Now Porsche is saying, well, we're going to look at this new EV platform
and see if we can fit a gas engine in it.
Now, the question here is, now it's Porsche.
And they've got time and they can kind of figure it out.
But they were saying, we never designed it to have a gas engine in it.
So the battery would sort of be load bearing, right?
It's in a structure and it's load bearing.
So now they need to remove the battery and put something else in there.
Some sort of structure, some component plate, you know, build out something there.
And then we need to chop the back half off and figure out how to get an engine back there.
You know, getting it's mid, right?
So we got to get the engine in there.
And then we got to do fuel system and fuel tank.
So this is...
This brings up...
To me, this screams Dodge Charger, right?
Charger.
Oh, you're a dozen.
Right. Charger is going...
Oh, we're going to build this platform.
It's going to be an EV.
And then they go, well, we're going to do the six cylinder in it.
And then they go, okay.
And now we're going to...
We know an eight cylinder can fit.
So maybe we're going to have an SRT version down the line,
because that's what customers want.
But it has me sort of questioning going, how much work do you have to backtrack on?
And is it going to live up to the performance that it needs to, right?
How much money is it going to cost?
And what it's going to cost.
And then, you know, if...
If Porsche said we have an EV,
Cayman, that's coming out.
Clean sheet of paper, design specifically for EV,
electric motors, the whole thing.
We want to do another Cayman,
and we've already started developing a completely new platform,
a new chassis, a new design, everything for it.
Well, in my head I'm going, that's great.
Because now you're designing it specifically for the gas engine to be a high performance variant
of, you know, an evolution of the Cayman.
But if you said to me, hey, I'm going to take this EV platform
and I'm going to turn it into a gas engine platform.
And you are Porsche.
I'm going to go, are you going to be able to do this?
I mean, I think they'll figure it out.
But if you go to the engineers and go,
would you have rather started from scratch or started with this?
I think they'd say we want to start it from scratch.
So what you don't want is the next evolution of the Cayman and Boxster
to be, you know, 10% less of a car than what we currently have.
So anyway, I think Dodge is probably in a little bit better position
because they kind of planned for the, for the charger to have this six owner in it.
Right?
I mean, they hyped up the EV out of the game.
Yeah.
They hyped up the EV, but it wasn't like they didn't really kind of plan that
from the beginning.
They're going, well, you know, we didn't design this thing with a big frunk,
you know, in an all-wheel drive and electric motor.
It was like we kind of had an engine compartment to begin with, you know,
where on the new EV Boxster and Cayman, they don't.
And there's no engine compartment.
So anyway, it'll be interesting to see when they come up.
I'm sure it will be fine.
It's just, this is, again, the result of maybe you got to listen
to the customer a little bit more and a little less to the purchase of my government.
Right there.
That's the quote of the frickin' 2025.
Alistair and I had this conversation the other day for you guys that listened
to that episode as well.
We were talking about car companies got so kind of over their skis
with like touch screens and everything's there.
And what we were griping about is the AC vents and cars now are like,
you don't touch them.
They're, you have to use the touchscreen to move them or use,
like you can't just get in and move the AC vent if it's blowing on you.
Like now.
And I'm like, nobody ever asked for that feature.
Nobody ever asked for that thing to be electronic.
And then Alistair even asked, I forgot which car it was now.
And they go, why can't I move the AC vent?
So like because it doesn't buy itself.
Like you get in, it's like how often do you move the AC vents?
And then I go, but it's a feature nobody ever asked for, right?
And so now we're kind of going for the customers again.
Yeah.
And when I pointed out to him was, I was like, you know what you think about it?
It's like of all the media events we've gone on.
So many of the next generation of like cars and some SUVs are like,
it's got the massaging chair and it's got a spa mode.
And you don't touch the AC vents.
And the power mirrors which are on every single door are no longer on the door.
It's like in a menu on the, you know, and there's no more AC control buttons.
Except when you go on media events for trucks.
If you go on like an F-150 or Ram or Silverado, all they do is go,
we talk to the customer, we talk to the customer, we hear you.
You want big buttons on the doors.
You can get in it when your hands are cold and you got gloves on.
And, and, and.
Clear indication that if you give the customer an option,
if you give the customer choices, if you give them what they want,
then you're going to be a more successful company.
You know what I'm saying?
It's like the same companies that are building these trucks going,
we listen to the customer.
You can open the tailgate three different ways.
We added a step to the rear so you can get in and out.
We, you know, we still like, I was like,
why do I still have a giant whip antenna?
Like because a lot of truck owners are off the grid,
they listen to AM radio on their drive.
And I was like, that totally makes sense.
Totally makes sense to me.
I was like, and then that same company goes,
we've deleted all the buttons in your car.
And everything is on the touchscreen.
It's like, well, how come your truck team listens to all the customers
and your, you know, whatever your sedan team doesn't listen to anybody?
They just want to be innovative and just to see what they can do with technology.
I was like, you don't have to do that all the time.
You know, but anyway, it's just kind of an interesting thought of,
you know, anyway, this ends up resulting in billions of dollars
of write-offs on these car companies.
Oh, yeah.
You know, in law sales.
But anyway, it's going to be interesting next year.
It's going to be fun to see how we're going to sort of find now this middle ground,
you know, of going back to interesting cars, fun cars.
There's some really good stuff out there.
But now with some, that the dust is settled,
there's a place for EV.
There's a place for hybrid.
Some of its miles per gallon.
Some of it is convenience.
Some of it is for performance.
I'm playing field again.
Yeah.
Know what you're going to get.
Which is, which is cool as a car guy.
You have no idea what the future brings.
But now it's not predicated on electric.
That's, you know.
Right.
Now we can use it in a way that may would make sense.
We talked about the scout.
They're like, the scout is going to be a really cool off-road truck in SUV.
It's going to be electric.
But you're going to have the optional range extenders,
a little gas engine that can go under.
It's under like the back of the vehicle.
I think they said the rear bumper is like,
now you can get five, six hundred miles of range.
You can top it off with gas, little charts of battery.
Like what the ram charger was doing.
Right.
Ram said we're doing an all electric truck.
And the ram charger with the onboard range extender,
the generator.
And then they said,
forget it.
We're not doing the electric truck.
We're only going to do the gas engine trucks,
the diesel trucks,
and the range extender electric version.
You know.
Right.
And I know we've said this before.
It was like, Toyota is the only one laughing to the bank.
Toyota was like,
we're not doing all that crazy stuff.
We're sticking with our hybrids.
We do it well.
And now they're like,
see, I told you so.
They were right.
All right.
So,
here we are,
end of the year.
We're going to wrap things up.
Say thanks to everybody for listening.
And checking out the YouTube sub.
I'm trying to put them up on YouTube.
These shows up on YouTube as well.
And,
yeah, any final thoughts?
Out with the old in with the new.
Yeah. Right.
I'll be 59 in a couple of days.
And I'm very much looking forward to 2026, man.
I think it's going to be a great year.
Not just for us personally,
professionally,
but automotive world.
I think there's going to be some really bad-ass stuff on the cost.
Yeah.
I think there is.
Like we said,
now that things are sort of settling.
We're figuring out what direction.
The compromise.
So, you said the options.
Yeah.
I think it's going to be good.
I also want to say.
I've got some cool projects coming up for the year.
I've got some cool things coming up.
And.
Yeah.
Just looking forward to it, man.
I also want to say thanks to everybody that has supported
ProVago, the hard-selture company.
We,
you know, it's a lot of work.
It's not easy to do.
But you guys show up to the tasting events.
You can.
You go online and you buy it.
And, you know,
there's not a lot of orders online because I know the shipping is expensive.
But, you know,
if you spend 50 bucks worth,
you get free shipping.
And I appreciate those orders coming in.
And.
If you haven't tried it,
I hope you get a chance to try it either at a live event
or, you know,
you buy some online and share it with your friends.
But I appreciate that.
You know, it's.
It's a lot of work.
Yeah.
All right.
Listen, happy birthday.
Merry Christmas.
Happy Hanukkah.
Happy New Year.
I'm sure I'll chat with you over the break.
But all of those things have a good time.
And we'll see you guys next year.
We'll be back beginning of January.
