[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't have the AV, but the AV gives you thirty-five and gives you like a seventy-five thousand dollar price tag.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's like twenty-five thousand dollars more than this.
[SPEAKER_00]: This one was like fifty-five, I think, or fifty-six.
[SPEAKER_00]: Actually it was identical to the Ranger actor almost.
[SPEAKER_00]: So if you compare it directly to the Ranger actor, you're getting a lot less.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting two less cylinders.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting a less horsepower.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're getting less horsepower, but you are getting dual lockers.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting a nice interior.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're getting, I think a nicer interior.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And for me, and I know this is very superficial, Andre, but I love the colors called, I think desert sun.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's bright orange.
[SPEAKER_00]: It is a brightest orange I've ever seen.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I am a sucker for color and I love this color.
[SPEAKER_00]: I just love it.
[SPEAKER_00]: I love the white interior.
[SPEAKER_00]: I love the red sea bell.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so outlandish and [SPEAKER_00]: It's like the eighties all over again.
[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, it makes me happy every time I get in it.
[SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't have the same amount of power that the Ranger Raptor had.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it does have like real buttons as opposed to like all digital.
[SPEAKER_00]: All digital.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the locking differentials are actually switches.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Physical switches that you pull in push.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm still in the fence on the collar.
[SPEAKER_01]: I usually am a collar guy, love collar.
[SPEAKER_00]: See, there it's stuck right there because it's on thirty-three's.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're showing you the threat cone, which is one of the more difficult trails.
[SPEAKER_01]: It needs a slightly bigger tire, but the guys still got it over the obstacle gatekeeper.
[SPEAKER_00]: So you had the Colorado and you had kind of the base version.
[SPEAKER_00]: So you much more, much more affordable in the trail boss.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I played about forty-one thousand for my truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: This was two and a half years ago.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is what fifty-five fifty-six.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's so compared to this truck.
[SPEAKER_00]: So this has, when you get the X, you also get the heads up display.
[SPEAKER_00]: So you get all the bells always.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, you have cruise control.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and he's in cool seats.
[SPEAKER_00]: I love looking at those rock rails.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're functional because Tommy used them.
[SPEAKER_01]: And nothing happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: They didn't bend.
[SPEAKER_01]: They did those small scratch happened, but they didn't bend.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was really functional.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love these tires, by the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, these three three.
[SPEAKER_01]: So compared to my truck, same power plant.
[SPEAKER_01]: So still three hundred and ten horsepower, which is a little bit buzzing in the end.
[SPEAKER_01]: The end is a little bit buzzing.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not very satisfying sound.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's slow, but it's not slow.
[SPEAKER_01]: So everything, I love everything about this truck, except it didn't do so well on the eye gauntlet.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we do this towing test in the mountains.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this truck was, obviously, stable and confident, but it didn't perform well on there.
[SPEAKER_00]: Huh?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's six thousand.
[SPEAKER_01]: Six thousand with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we did over, I think, eleven brake applications on the way down, which is on the high side.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it doesn't have a lot of back pressure, but the engine is only two point seven liters.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the engine doesn't have a lot of displacement.
[SPEAKER_01]: On the way up, it was almost out of power.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we're still moving at sixty miles an hour on the way up, but you were right on the cusp.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we were on the cusp almost a hundred percent throttle.
[SPEAKER_01]: on this little guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he came with a bedliner.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you.
[SPEAKER_00]: GMC.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you, TSC.
[SPEAKER_00]: Look at those seat belts.
[SPEAKER_00]: Look how good those look with your shirt.
[SPEAKER_00]: We're looking at a picture of Andre and his cowboy hat.
[SPEAKER_00]: Backwards on my dad, Andre.
[SPEAKER_00]: That was a comment you got, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: That you're wearing a backwards.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um, no, no, I'm not.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I think you're going to go backwards.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the white part should be the narrow parts forward.
[SPEAKER_01]: But they're both wide.
[SPEAKER_01]: I got it a wide wide double wide.
[SPEAKER_01]: And there's a way, say, forget.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I went to this custom hat place for, um, for my cowboy hat and they had so many choices.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's like, fifteen different styles.
[SPEAKER_00]: Just get a, that's a, that's the same the West.
[SPEAKER_00]: So, so, look, it's a performing truck.
[SPEAKER_00]: Like I said, I'm super official.
[SPEAKER_00]: It didn't do the best towing.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's okay.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's not really meant for towing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's okay.
[SPEAKER_00]: But it's just so freaking good looking.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a really good looking truck.
[SPEAKER_00]: I love those little marker lights, the orange marker lights on the side of the wheel wells.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a sexy as truck.
[SPEAKER_00]: And it's also got the sunroof which I'm not a big fan of, but in this truck I love.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I just think that, you know, sometimes the looks turn heads and make you overlook a lot of things that I probably normally wouldn't overlook.
[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm sure people are looking at this truck.
[SPEAKER_00]: You see the marker lights, the orange [SPEAKER_00]: the color of the truck.
[SPEAKER_00]: You want white interior, probably not, in a truck.
[SPEAKER_00]: Is it going to get dirty?
[SPEAKER_00]: Hell yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: But that's what makes it cool.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes the more high maintenance somebody or something is, the more kind of you fall in love with them.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's a weird thing that happens in human nature, but I'm kind of there.
[SPEAKER_01]: But I think they're just a smart thing where the white parts are kind of a little bit higher on the truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's not like a seed bottom is white, you know, where your butt is always moving across.
[SPEAKER_01]: But like where your knee touches on the side of the toy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so so I think that is a good job of the interior Everything else is great.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're getting nineteen and a half MPJ in this truck which is supposed to be seventeen Yeah, so it's doing better than the EPA suggesting so it's actually relatively efficient considering everything about it.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's got good backseat room.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's not horrible [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you would think that maybe it would be tight because there's some some tracks or tight and I could say if I compare it to the Ford, you get a lot more with the Ford.
[SPEAKER_01]: We get better downhill, throwing performance in the Ford, you have better acceleration in the Ford.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would say more acceleration equals more fun.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would pick a ranger after all.
[SPEAKER_00]: Plus we tuned it, which gives even more power.
[SPEAKER_00]: So factory tuned it, not after market tuned.
[SPEAKER_00]: Because Ford does a smart thing where you can factory tuned it.
[SPEAKER_00]: So anyways, if power is what you want, then definitely get the ranger after.
[SPEAKER_00]: But I just think this is a really nice truck, and it makes me happy every time I get behind the wheel.
[SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes that's more important than how much your toes are how quickly they accelerate.
[SPEAKER_01]: So now we have to pick our favorite unfortunately.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because we have a lot of good trucks here.
[SPEAKER_01]: So go for it on this list.
[SPEAKER_01]: For me, it's between the F and F and F and F and F and F and F and so we're out of heavy duty.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, I keep bouncing between them because once again, I care about, you know, heavier towing.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can only have one truck, which one is it?
[SPEAKER_00]: You can't have both.
[SPEAKER_00]: You can only have one.
[SPEAKER_00]: You know what, I think I would go F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F-F [SPEAKER_00]: And I would pick Pumpkin just because Maverick doesn't go off road.
[SPEAKER_00]: And as much as I would rather live with the Maverick as an everyday truck at some point, I'm going to want to go off road.
[SPEAKER_00]: And the GMC does have auto four wheel drive, which is nice.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the absolute trimmer does not.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a bummer.
[SPEAKER_01]: But once again, you said, you know, we could only have one truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know, I have a six thousand pound boat.
[SPEAKER_01]: I load up a lot of camping gear in my truck in the summer.
[SPEAKER_01]: I want a full-size truck.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's why that's what I need.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for the times you need it, you need it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: Really need it.
[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there you have it, guys.
[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for joining us for this episode of TFL talking trucks.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, thank you.
[SPEAKER_00]: Andre, thank you for having me on the show.
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so we'll return the normal scheduled program next time.
[SPEAKER_00]: Next week, where should they go if they want to see some of these videos?
[SPEAKER_00]: Only in one place.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oldtfl.com.
[SPEAKER_00]: Right there.
[SPEAKER_00]: We shall see you next time.
[SPEAKER_00]: Ciao.
[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, Dominic, stop using Chow.
[SPEAKER_00]: I've been using that for fifteen years.
[SPEAKER_00]: He started stealing my Chow.
[SPEAKER_00]: Chow?
[SPEAKER_00]: Out of spec.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I use batteries included.
[SPEAKER_00]: That's a podcast, right?
[SPEAKER_00]: Batteries included.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: No, Dom.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And also, you know, I've been doing Chow since I started this in two thousand nine.
[SPEAKER_00]: And now he's doing Chow.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's kind of a European thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, yeah, it's a check thing.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_00]: And he's Canadian.
[SPEAKER_00]: Do you see Chao?
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey.
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll do that.
[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, uh, hey.
[SPEAKER_00]: Andre, you got a Mazda.
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey.
[SPEAKER_00]: You're has this backwards, eh?
[SPEAKER_00]: Hey.
[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
[SPEAKER_00]: Bye.
[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry.
[SPEAKER_00]: Chao.
[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
