LIVE
Hello everybody, how are you all doing? Hopefully you had a great weekend, enjoying some of the final, finally fall feeling weather in our area.
Yeah, just in the evening, during the day it was still quite warm for this time of the year, but we'll take it, because Lord knows the other side is coming, but until then we'll enjoy what we got. Dark side, the Elliott side.
Dark side, Cleveland brown side, whatever you want to say. I wasn't even going to bring it up. I figured you had something to say. I wasn't. I wasn't. I was so not even worried. I didn't even watch the freaking game, because I already knew what to expect.
And yeah, one about as planned. So that's good. I'm glad. I'm glad it went. How are you plan? I'm see. I saw your buddy Aaron Rogers was happy with the win. Yes, you got to play some AFC North football, finally, which he's used to from the AFC or NFC North. So it could have been a, could be a lot worse. Still have dropped by a lot of intercept potential interceptions. Yeah, but yeah, we're in the process. We're in the process of liquidating our team anyway. So I don't expect much.
We get to play your old or, you know, the quarterback you had that, yeah, probably should have kept. Yeah, Thursday, because he, he does somehow he always beats the Steelers, no matter what team he's on. Yeah. So I'm not, see, I'm kind of looking like that for Thursday, even though the Bengals and Steelers got two game lead now in the division, no matter what.
So I was like, there's no way they're going to win and make a three day game. Yeah, lead in the division. I'm sure we have to pick it up somewhere. Yeah, well, I hope not.
Between that Penn State losing, getting my head coach fired. Yeah, it's been a, but it was a rough weekend. Well, in the older child's old here. So, you know, you don't go to the races anymore. I never did too much anyways.
That's right. Part time for sure. You're losing vibe is just starting all your stuff on everything. Yeah. Dang. I better watch how many times I come over. Yeah. See, you feel like those are already, don't you? Well, holy crap. Yeah.
Anyway, we'll, uh, derail this pleasant conversation first and talk about our sponsors because we've got a few racing things to talk about. Yes.
But as any racing program knows, you got to think those sponsors first. So our first, the wheels turn. That's right. Our first is our friends over at propane.com. National propane day was October 7th. Hopefully, y'all got out there and
enjoyed some propane. I know I did. Awesome. I mean, uh, the grill is, uh, the grill is very, very handy. Now we're getting into the season where it's get.

Made here right in the good old us of a as we speak, uh, fall weather has come. Like we said, which means those crops and cornfields and such are starting to turn color, which means a lot of our agricultural friends will be using a lot of propane.
Dry and grain and the like. So keep your head on the swivel out there. If you're in the Midwest, be sure to, uh, you know, drive safe around some of those farm equipment.
Items on the road lights are blinking lights are blinking. No, you cannot, you know, fit under the sprayer as much as everyone wants to think they can. Right.
Um, maybe a motorcycle. Yeah, I've, yeah, there's the boom hanging down. I've heard stories, uh, friend of mine owns, uh, food, razor business. And, uh, yes, someone tried it with the motorcycle to go under sprayer once and the boom was hanging down didn't end well.
Not to change the subject, but, uh, whatever streaming we was watching Saturday night, I don't know if we flip between flow and dirt vision. There's a propane commercial. There you go.
Because Melissa made me do the propane. Jingle she made me. She said, come on, you got to do it. I said, no, it's not Monday. It's not Monday.
But anyone out there, you're allowed to do that propane jingle anytime you want. I had to appreciate it. They're sponsored. See, they're, uh, supporting dirt racing right on, right on the TV. They're supporting through here on the podcast.
So check them out. Again, listen to us babble on about it. But do yourselves a favor. Head over to website propane.com learn more learn more about what propane can do for you because as they say propane is energy for everyone propane.
There you go. Our next one. It's a big one big weekend. Our friends down at the whistle stop just down the road from El Dorro Speedway, expecting a good good turnout with the dirt track world championship coming up three days down at El Dorro Speedway, late models Friday, Saturday, counting the Lucas oil champion.
whistle bar and grill.com is the website. If you're down in the area, be sure to hit them up. Awesome pizza, awesome burgers, pull tabs. We're doing friends last time. So try and make sure doing's not not lying to you. Yes.

You can bring it right to your campsite. So whistle bar and grill.com is the website. Great place. Check it out. I've been craving their pizza lately. I'm not going to lie.
Can't go wrong with it. I'm telling you got to try it. If you had the garlic cheese bread, get it. Yes.
Is legit. I don't know. Dwayne is a garlic bread expert. Yes. And if he's saying it's good, it's good. Trust me. I didn't get this size from not liking garlic bread.
If you're in the area, you had a little further south to downtown Greenville. You could check out the shirt shot tap house. They got 46 adult beverages on tap. Actually 50 because there's four upstairs now as well.
But they got everything from your coolers like Bud Light, Bush light type beers to some local stuff, IPAs.
Stouts, porters, usually some ciders and a celser on hand. You're charged by the ounce. You pour your own beer. It works out really, really well. Makes it fun. You can try out one of those weird beers like Uber space machine.

Racing in our direct area. But still a few things going on. I know Dwayne was able to get out and capture some of the sights and sounds. Where did your weekend take you Dwayne?
Well Friday night to the wonderful beautiful Kokomo speedway. Everybody's talking about before we get into the racing action about OK, the new bleachers and how the dirt was there and they're going to build sweets on that. Well, there's grass that they brought in now.
And stuff. So I don't know if they're going to put nice sweets there because right now there's a nice beautiful grass. They got fence up now. The gate's got some like deer looks like you're going to like a gated house because of this front gates of the where you walk in now.
It's got like a laser deers and stuff in them and stuff and a whole nice like black fence around it and stuff a nice, but yeah, nice nice yard on both sides of the new grandstand. So not sure if they would spend a lot of money to put in a yard if they're going to build sweets. I don't know.
Yeah, I didn't ask them. I talked to them for a little bit. I didn't ask them. So, but anyways, yeah, Kokomo, the clash, what they say 20 some spent a while as long as I thought. But anyways, open wheel night, non wing sprint cars, which, you know, I kind of thought they'd have more cars. But, you know, this year's kind of weird because there's some people that's done.
Early, you know, I mean, they're just and I've heard from a few teams like, well, we race them because last year we didn't get our motor back to a week of season opening and we wanted to get to the engine builders first this year. So, you see some of that, but 21 cars is a great show.
21 non wing cars, they had 28, I believe, of the race saver 305's. Oh, wow. Yes. Yeah, I didn't know there's 28 of around, be honest. Actually, that was a really good show. And then Thundercars had 29, Thundercars, but a good show. And I think a name, obviously, everybody's heard his name, or I won't say everybody, but a name that's been out there.
Get more, more, but I really think this kid's coming to his own this year is his fourth or fifth win, first ever, Kokomo, but kale coons in the dueling 63 car, which everybody's like, oh, what's that?
Enough because that, you know, Joe Dueling's who had Brian's class and stuff when we lost a great late Brian class and you know, he hasn't really been around much and then got, you know, Jerry coons junior, obviously, is a kale's dad.
And they got this 63 rolling man. Yeah, he's one of a couple of Lincoln Park. He's one of the circle city. Now, Kokomo, and it wasn't, I mean, Shankato was giving him a run, Jane Rogers, there's quite a few of them giving him a pretty good run.
Good show, but kale held his own and took to win. Then three or five, I was a really good race in Kentucky's Dylan Baldwin, which I've seen him the last couple of years there, always caught my eye because he's always running the cushion and just, you know,
being pretty aggressive and he says, man, he says, that's all he's ever wanted to do is win at Kokomo. He says, who I race there one time year. He says, I've always tried really hard and he ran a great race and won that then.
Thundercar, I can't think of that guy's name at one, but I'll find you that. That's kind of wild. There was a Sheldon Oberly. Yes, Sheldon Oberly.
There was about a six car wreck on the front stretch and the one. And as one of those, you know, I'm going to say maybe 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th right there is all spinning out.
Then there's a guy you see him. Everybody's some guys are, you know, cranking the wheel spinning so they don't hit everybody in all this and this guy is driving straight instead of hitting the brakes, cranking the wheel, he hits this throttle.
And it was like, I don't even thought he's at Telodegan like this all going to slide down the track and hear him. Well, he made it fast first to many drove really hard inside of about the third. Jesus Christ.
He destroyed his car.
Probably destroyed a lot of cars too. There was there's they needed like, I think four or five of them taken off under record.
And it was funny because you know, it was payment track. It would look like a all hell broke loose under front stretch with a black marks net. Well, it was dirt and you look out there and it just looks like somebody murdered the front stretch.
I mean, there's tired grooves all over like.
It's like somebody murdered the front stretch. Yeah, but uh, but it was a good race. Great program. Very efficiently ran hell.
We was out of there. We was home before midnight. Nice. I think we was out of there at a couple minutes before nine or right after these. I know it was home before midnight. Good.
But yeah, very quick ranch show. And they said they wanted us around. I mean, first he started. I think hot laps were at six and they started right six and all three divisions ran bam, bam, bam, bam.
And it was. I don't even know if it is right around nine when it got over a few minutes after I believe. Nice. So yeah. Yeah.
And then yesterday it was going to go to Winchester for some payment racing haven't been there forever. But uh, just didn't feel like it on Saturday.
So yesterday, the milkman, you know, stuck his neck out and the $6,000 twin non-wing sprint car show on a Sunday after or Sunday, five o'clock hot laps on that really afternoon. But another well ran show, 29 non-wing cars, 25,
100 cars and, I don't know, 27, 28 modified something like that. Another well well ran show. The sprint car feature was over with before eight o'clock. Nice.
A little bit before eight. Of course, we stayed for everything. And we still out there. We got to the car right at nine o'clock. And we stopped onto the bathroom afterwards.
We left all that stuff. So, you know, it was over at about five or 10 till nine. Yeah. But good races.
A sprint car, a main. We talked about it. One on Friday night, a kale cunes was dominating. He was, he was checked out. He is straight away a lead. Yeah.
Straight away lead. And, and it's funny because I talked to Matt Westfall, because talked to him about his win the week before when I was there. And he's like, man, he says, I don't, he said, they've changed this track where he says, not that I don't like it. Cause I says, I like this place.
And he says, I love what the milkman is doing. That way says, they've changed the bank a little bit where he says, it's pretty much top dominant, which we know Matt Westfall. He's not top dominant. Yeah. And kale cunes really isn't either.
Some of those guys. So a lot of guys are ripping the cushion. And the bottom was coming in. I mean, they, you could slide and all that stuff. And while Mike Miller, which used to race boss forever started super deep in the field.
I must say maybe 16, 17th and race up the fifth on the bar fourth on the bottom or fifth or six, fifth or six, I think on the bottom.
You know, he was never on top. So the bottom was racing. You could get up there. But anyways, kale cunes.
Just coming off four. And I see it the last week, guys would brush wall and every division that and kale just.
I don't know if you missed judge just got off the cushion a little wonky, but stuff in defense all by yourself.
Well, those mistakes that that happened. Yeah. So, but he had six grand in his pocket.
Then that guy ate a eight lap shootout between Ryland Gray and Matt Westfall. And man, they.
It made the race super exciting because they would slide job for slide job. I mean, going into two, three.
However, because they switched it back and forth several times, throw slider and then off four, throw one, then going in one and one and two, dive and swim.
They did that at least eight or nine times the last eight laps with Matt Westfall seal and no deal.
He got the slider off to and going into three and four Ryland through the slider. And then Kudos, Ryland Gray a year or two ago, he probably wouldn't have left room.
You know, okay, he's one of these guys. It's crashed a little bit and it's got some slack from guys like Robert Blue and different people.
And he threw it in there and tried to make it stick and Matt just and untypical Matt Westfall fashion ripped cushion and ripped right on the outside of him and Ryland led off and let Matt, you know, didn't take each other out.
Yeah. And that's sealed deal for Matt because then Ryland just couldn't catching Matt pulled way enough last lap. That's coming to the white.
But they have six K from Matt Westfall on his own team. Ryan Gray a really good run to.
But yeah, Ricky Lewis was there, CJ Leary, Jason Rogers, Timohako. I mean, they had a good field of cars.
Yeah.
So I was good race, modified same song, different car, Clayton Bryant.
Great run there too. That was a good battle. Then Sherman and Woodland came from deep in the pack.
But Clayton Bryant in Zeke Mackenzie, 24 car. Yeah, I saw that.
And Zeke was there. So I don't know if there is trying something or if Zeke was hurting, I don't know.
But Clayton Bryant took that win and then Ed Johnson, the Thundercar features.
Thundercar feature got a little wild, a little cumbersome of yellow so much.
So that the milk man's like, hey, you know, supposed to be 15 laps.
Those those at lap 12 and like, he's like, next caution is over.
Well, then they had a red, which was like, okay, you know, I wasn't really cautioned.
And you know, guy hit the long look like he's catching on fire.
So like, okay, we're going to do green white checkered, but if it's cautioned, it's over.
And they had, I don't know, look like the whoever is playing the Kansas City chiefs.
Kind of looked like that. There's getting all the yellow flags.
Yeah.
Yeah, like like Troy last night.
But anyway, but still fundraise.
I mean, the guy at one that Ed Johnson, man, he had this old trial.
I mean, just, you know, you've seen crowns, you know, he had that thing.
I mean, he was literally running the right rear tire off the edge of the cushion,
Inter in one. He had it or I was just kicking up the rooster tail.
Then he's shooting down the track and that big old, you know, big old.
Yeah, we got to slide pipes on him.
It was pretty good race.
Yeah.
Yeah, good job.
Milkman.
It's hoping to have a little better crowd.
And it wasn't terrible by any means, but it wasn't capacity.
I mean, it was probably maybe two thirds or just under two thirds full.
I mean, there's a good third that wasn't.
So, but something afternoon rescheduled race.
Hopefully he did well on it.
I mean, it's good to see, you know, those guys have a chance at six grand for the mountain wing guys.
Not that last fall hasn't raised on the big stage and some of those guys.
But, you know, that's pretty good show.
Yeah, and he did the right thing by if we're going to have him Sunday, be done by nine o'clock.
Yes.
So if you do it again, people know, like, oh, Sunday race, and we're not going to be there all night.
That's a part of that reputation you got to get to.
Well, and I attended the drivers meeting. He was pretty clear.
I mean, he was, he was really nice about it.
He was like, don't ruin somebody else's night, you know, whatever.
Pull in, don't pull in the cause caution when you know you're done.
Yeah.
Just pull in.
Yeah, we'll take care of you afterwards or if you're mad, tell us afterwards.
You know, it's a Sunday night.
Well, I want to get it.
And, you know, like said, maybe we can try this again Sunday, especially like that.
You know, he had Lawrence, we're grace and two nights in Kokomo.
You picked up some of the modified guys.
That was a Kokomo.
Oh, yeah, for sure.
You know, and he got, and he had a chance to get to see Jay Leary.
And, you know, some of those guys.
So, you know, I wasn't bad at all.
I think planning wise.
And, uh, yeah, he did.
And he told him he goes, we were going to go bam, bam, bam.
And he goes, uh, you know, please work with us.
And they did.
Like I said, Sprint car feature one.
You can have your main deal over with by eight o'clock.
Yeah, that's pretty good on Sunday.
Yeah, I mean, there's teams already on the road, you know,
with the modified and, uh, thunder cars are out there.
So, uh, yeah, it was good.
Like I said, the complete program was done just a few minutes for nine.
Yeah.
You really can't beat that.
Uh, we mentioned Kokomo.
They also raised Saturday.
Yes.
They're only late model race of the year.
It's traditionally the clash.
Uh, Chase Burda from up in Michigan took that.
And the, um, excuse me.
Modifieds went to Bryce Shidler.
Yeah, Shidler.
Yeah.
Um, like the Wayne said, Todd Sherman, Dylan Woodling, uh,
Scott Orr, a long time modified driver.
Yeah, I see they had seven or forty one late models in it.
Only thirty showed up.
I can't surprise me.
Uh, Spittola has won that thing a handful of times.
He was injured and show up.
Bob Gardiner did.
Yeah, he was a DNF in the future.
A few Michigan guys, a few Ohio guys, but a lot of,
a lot of Indiana guys who I didn't know.
Maybe, and maybe they're not supers.
I don't know.
Maybe they're pros.
But, um, yeah.
John Miller, one of our local guys.
Top 10.
John's been running pretty good.
Yeah.
Um, Brad Eitner, another guy locally who we know, uh, finished six.
Right in the mods.
Yeah.
So he had a good outing.
Yeah.
Good run for that.
They had quite a, they had two B features for the mods.
Yeah, I think they had 49.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I've seen that.
Good run by Brad.
Yes.
It's been balanced between a few different classes over the years.
Been a late model guy for a long time.
And probably like many found it more economic.
Hold the race.
Modified.
So we're on a kryptonite.
Yes.
Um, so yeah, Kokomo kind of putting the bow on their season now.
I believe.
Yep.
Their season's over.
Um, other stuff going on.
I don't know.
Did you watch much of the word about the sprint car action going on?
I watched.
Um, yeah.
I watched Saturday.
It was Lincoln.
Yes.
And then I seen the highlights from Friday night.
New Egypt.
New Egypt then been there for a long time.
Yeah.
Um, because at one time I was hoping to get out there for the weekend.
Didn't happen.
Yeah.
Carson Macido got the win.
Yep.
A new Egypt and a posse claimed home turf with Macri.
Yeah, he came back Friday night.
Um, first race back didn't have a great night.
But yeah, then, uh, good battle him, buddy.
And then Chase Deach.
Chase Deach's second.
Yeah.
He came up there at the end and got buddy.
And I thought he was going to get in Macri to be honest.
But as the race, uh, it didn't pay to be up front.
I was one of those.
What leader was the worst spot, huh?
Yes, uh, gravel took the lead.
And, uh, and I told Melissa we was watching.
I said, there's something wrong with his car.
I mean, because you can just tell coming off corners.
It almost looked like a fuel issue.
Because it just parachute.
It was just, yeah.
And, uh, all of a sudden, uh, he got past and all of a sudden,
he dropped to like fifth or sixth.
And then it just blew up.
I mean, shut off.
It blew up.
They said a big pump of smoke came out.
And then, uh, same thing with Macido.
Macido gets in the lead.
Bam, bam.
And all some poof.
Him blows up.
So, uh, or shuts off.
And it sounded like it bloated up too.
So yeah, gravel and Macido both.
So buddy gained, uh, 50-something points.
Yeah.
Uh, still 106.
But they got four races before Charlotte.
Uh, three.
Um, this weekend, uh, buddy's wheelhouse.
Mm-hmm.
Um, so.
But yeah, it was a pretty good race.
I had 40-something cars.
Um, but yeah.
Uh, kind of treat kid.
And they had a really nice salute to Bobby Allen.
Uh, yes.
They changed their whole schedule for that.
Yeah.
Well, on his race shop.
Literally only a couple miles from there.
Yeah.
And, uh, they brought some of the vintage cars
in a bar that, uh, uh, used to be obvious or what,
that one of the guys owns.
And, uh, you had a real nice opening ceremony
with, uh, a lot of drivers including all the outlaw drivers
and such.
So, uh, yeah.
Look like a very good race.
Yeah.
Word about the late models were in action.
Uh, down in Louisiana.
That was a speedway.
And all the name being on Saturday.
You see any of that?
I did not.
Oh my god.
That name being on Saturday was spectacular.
Yeah.
Friday night to McCreedy got the win.
Old man still getting her done.
Uh, and then Saturday was 50,000 to win actually.
Yes.
Uh, we'll be 50,000 next year to October 2nd and 3rd.
They nice.
Uh, Ryan Gustin and Bobby Pierce had a little bit of a duel.
That, uh, all out.
The song did like 50,000 dollars to win.
That all out brawl.
They was rubbing each other.
Uh, the last couple of lives like Bobby said he goes,
Hey, it was good hard racing.
Like we didn't dirty anybody.
Dense of junior.
Hard not.
Dense of junior.
Brian Shirley.
Brian Shirley.
May think a little different.
Bobby.
Uh, he was up there too.
And Bobby got a run because it was very slick.
And you had to pick your spots.
Well, you could get momentum on the top side.
But then the bottom was kind of better than one and two.
So Bobby is zipping down one and two or three and four.
Uh, it gets a hell of a run down the front stretch.
Well, it's surely been cut in the corner while he cuts.
Bobby.
I mean, cut right to the tire.
Here's Bobby got all this momentum.
And Shirley just left turns way before the tire.
Uh, so his front ends the tire.
And Bobby got into his rear end.
I mean, Bobby swore if you see Bobby.
Hard right turn.
Looked like trying to missing but clipped his rear end.
Truly spun out.
Uh, the blood roll dropping back to like fifth.
Yeah.
But uh, he wanted those deals.
I think.
Had a run.
He cut in the.
I mean, literally is going.
You get that big run and you slow down 20, 30 miles per hour to cut to the bottom.
You know, and Bobby just kind of clipped him in.
It's really wanting to pissed off.
I think more of some of the fans were more than.
Yeah.
It's really didn't even.
Same much as I could kind of.
I think he kind of knew what happened.
Yeah.
But uh, yeah, hell of a race.
Bobby and Gustin, uh, Shirley was up there.
Uh, Taylor English started hell deep in the field and made a run up towards.
Yeah, it started 17th finish six.
Yeah.
Kyle Beard started 26 finish seven.
Yes.
Yeah.
So there was a lot of passing but, uh, really neat.
Uh, they did some track work before they made to try to make it because of 70 laps.
Uh, it didn't really take rubber.
It was a lot racer.
And I thought it was going to be when I seen it.
Uh, matter of fact, we talked about maybe going there next year.
Oh, yeah.
Places packed.
Yeah.
Nice thing was like 940 miles.
I'll say I didn't.
It looks like it's into Louisiana.
It's wild.
It's almost a Houston, Texas.
Oh, gotcha.
Yeah.
It's that far.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Um, other stuff.
Uh, you sack in action down at Lawrenceburg.
The bird.
Uh, two nights Friday night.
Kyle Cummins got the win.
Yes.
And then the big win on Saturday came to.
CV who also claimed the USAC National Sprinkler championship.
No.
Cummins got the champion.
Oh, the fall.
I'm sorry.
Winning the Sprinkler.
The $10,000 Nos.
Champion chip.
Yeah.
So they had that who's a trifecta.
Yeah.
Or if you want them all, you got 100,000.
And then if you won so many, you got.
Yeah.
So Grant.
Have Grant won.
He got 20,000.
The CV won.
He got 10.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So Lawrenceburg has been very, very bad to Justin Grant this year.
Yeah.
That's where he got hurt.
Took him out of the chance of the half a million dollars.
Because if you won the triple crown this year is half a million dollars.
And he was leading all three at the time.
Uh, miss some races, ruined his trip crown.
Well, Friday night, he goes in there.
Chance to, you know, win and get this bonus.
Blows up.
Saturday night is leading.
Takes a lead.
Uh, that movie put on Logan.
See, even even the CV said he goes, goes.
I was asleep and he goes, I was trying to run hard.
But he says when you're leading, it's hard to pace of, you know, he goes, run seconds better.
And, and Grant, I tell you, every since he broke his foot, I mean, he's just like.
On fire.
Yeah.
He threw that thing in, turned three, at least four cars.
Harder than CV.
Clear team was five laps ago.
Scott the race, 40 grand.
All right, talking to you.
It's going to be great for Justin.
Goes turn one.
Right rear.
Hmm.
So, uh, put CV in the driver's seat to take home the 10,000 most.
But she's kind of had a bad year to not the typical Logan CV year.
So yeah, CV.
It up with when he got 20 grand.
Grant had 40 in his hand and a $350 tire.
Yeah.
What boom.
Uh, the color is reaching bad for him.
Kyle Strickler knows that feeling.
Yes.
$50,000 right rear on him once.
And that was enough for Kyle Cummins, though, to win the USAC title.
They still have this week in Kansas.
Then they go to Arizona.
Arizona.
But, uh, there's four races left and Cummins sealed the title.
It's the first time it's been sealed that quick and long.
Yeah.
So, uh, first, first title for him.
And he's, he's, you know, a very genuine guy.
Very familiar.
And it's never really went out.
Was the whole lot because of his businesses are, you know, his job and family and that.
You know, uh, he was very, very grateful.
He was, he was funny because they bring it all to him.
He goes, yeah, it hasn't set in.
And then all of a sudden, he just stops.
And he sees getting tears today.
He's like, man, he goes.
I don't think it hit me.
Anyway, he goes, we're going to go on.
We're going to have fun.
He goes the next four races and, uh, you know, a big thing out in Arizona, uh, his car owner.
Uh, Jerry Petty's, uh, you know, one putting all that money into that race track.
And actually, uh, they, uh, have our TJs going to be in one of the cars.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
So, uh, this weekend, they go to Dodge City on Friday.
Um, emerald Texas on Saturday.
And then the following weekend, do two nights out to Central Arizona raceway.
So, yeah.
So, uh, congrats.
Kyle coming.
Yeah.
It's been a long time.
Name everyone's been recognizing more and more over the years.
And everybody's kind of wanting to see him run full time on usac.
Cause he's done half three quarters.
You know, it's always been tough in Southern Indiana.
And you know, you had some of those people all the while getting more to the national scene.
Uh, yeah.
Oh, he's a pretty badass driver, I think.
Yeah.
He's, uh, definitely seemed like one who's had the tools to do it all for a while.
Yeah.
Got the opportunity.
And all those guys that generally seems pretty appreciative.
Yeah.
It's funny.
He goes, you know, he says, uh, he goes, I'm never satisfied.
So he says, I think my crew for that.
But it always seems pretty grateful all the time.
So, uh, it's cool to see guys like that one.
Yes, for sure.
Um, another, uh, it's not really local.
It's quite a ways away.
But, uh, in, in the Midwest, but, uh, it was an eye opener turnout.
We'll say for, uh, tracks first race in a few years after a reconfiguration.
But West Virginia motor speedway posted their first race on, uh, the newly configured three eighths mile.
And, uh, I don't know if I've ever seen a, I mean, shit, more or less, a regular show with the turnout they had.
Right.
Um, would they end up having 270, uh, total car 30 something 30, 2334, because they had 70 late models, like 58 or nine mods.
Yeah.
70 some, I don't know if it's pro mods or sport mods.
Yeah.
I'm looking here because they got all the results on their Facebook.
So I got to go down a ways.
Yeah.
First, at first they said there was like 260 cars and they, uh, nope, there's like 232 or three.
So 78 models, 72 sport mods, 58 modifides and 32 pro late models.
So, and a full, uh, hillside as well.
If you're not familiar, they run, you know, they have, uh, pretty much a terrorist hillside for lawn chairs, more so than, um, you know, more than bleachers.
But I saw, did you see they relocate it?
If you saw the pictures of the recon, reconfig, they were doing the head like a gravel patch on the backstretch.
You didn't really know what it was for.
Well, they moved the stands that were on the backstretch.
Yeah.
Uh, forward.
And maybe it's concrete.
I don't even know.
But move that to be a better viewing section for, uh, you know, people in the pit.
So they have a backstretch grandstands as well.
Right.
Yeah, and if you look, they need every inch of, you know, the space from taking in the track, you know, in the old turns, one and two and three and four, there's haulers park.
So they had haulers everywhere.
Uh, they could squeeze one.
So kudos to them.
Uh, you know, it's always, always great to see that.
You just hope, okay, hopefully that support.
Stay strong.
Right.
I think they got a 70 light miles and three quarters of my head didn't even hurt.
Yeah.
I was like, who are the, where did these guys come from?
Right.
Obviously carpenters had to carry her there.
Some of those guys.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If a well and like Steve Sable went.
Um,
see there's another Attica couple.
No Sable went in, um, uh, 59.
Then he go.
Oh, Bellman.
Yeah, Bellman.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That was there.
So yeah.
A lot of, uh, I mean, Ryan Montgomery.
Yeah.
Trevor Feathers.
Obviously he's another one, but like Corey Miller.
He was racing for the win.
And he was the fast qualifier in group A.
Like, I don't even know who that is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like Kyle Thomas.
He's a, uh,
Tyler County guy.
I recognize that name.
Bobby Lake was there.
Um, but yeah, really cool.
I mean,
obviously, uh,
Aaron Scott was there racing.
Yeah.
His name we haven't heard in a while.
Yeah, I seen that.
I was like, oh, interesting.
But, uh, J.R.
Gentry.
He was another one or Attica guys.
Um, yeah, hopefully the support stays there.
I think that's a good indication that people wanted it.
And want everything,
wanted everything about West Virginia Motor Speedway,
except for the size of the track.
Um, but, uh,
they fix that.
We'll say.
And, uh, they got a word of outlaw race scheduled now.
I don't know if we talked about that last week, but.
Yeah.
I don't know if, uh,
it was out last week when we did this.
Yeah.
I feel like it maybe was and we missed it.
We might have talked to tonight.
I don't know.
But, uh,
June 12th and 13th.
Next year,
the $12,000 prelim night and 30,000 a win main event on Saturday.
So, uh, word of outlaw is planning on making a stop.
I think the guy maybe look at a,
I don't know if it was prep or they need a little bit of a grade
adjustment, but it's kind of hard to get a lot done on the high side.
It looked like it was bottom dominant, but.
I see a lot of people say they thought it was good racing.
Yeah.
In the future for late models.
That's, that's all I saw clips of.
So, um,
but like I said,
it could have just been.
230 cars on track.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, I've seen the, yeah,
the only thing I seen a few was, uh,
it was a light because, you know,
there wasn't planning on like 20 heat races and 12 B mains.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like, I know, uh,
a main didn't rot for late miles to like core, but one.
Yeah.
Like,
two o'clock for the sport mods or whatever, but still,
what do you expect?
I mean, you're not expecting.
200 and some cars.
Yeah.
And did you see the crowd?
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
The hillsides were full.
How it showed like a two, three mile line of people waiting to get in, you know,
when it came in.
So good for them.
Yes.
Awesome.
I hope, I hope keeps going.
I mean, and track looked like a lot of perfect size, really.
Yeah.
I think it's, I think it's got everything set up to be a crown jewel track.
Yep.
For late miles.
Well, and be a first,
first race on it.
I mean,
yeah.
What pretty decent.
I mean, it's smooth.
It wasn't ready.
It didn't come apart.
You know, like I said,
I'm sure they have some sprint cars to their alley.
Oh, yeah.
Well, maybe a crown jewel race.
You know,
I'm talking the history of the place.
Right.
You know, was that their track world championship.
And I don't know if hillbilly was ever there, but.
I don't sound like that.
Well, I don't know,
because I've seen people saying, hey, bring the hillbilly, bring the hillbilly.
Yeah.
I don't know if it was ever there.
And I think that's kind of what this is gearing up for.
Right.
I'd say one of them moves there.
Yeah, we're trying to get, you know, track raceable.
So guys show up and then they have the space for everything else.
So, yeah.
Good job on them.
Kudos to them.
Track I said I'm meant to now.
And now it'll be the short one.
I know.
I was wondering that if I go back to Mansfield next year,
do I get to count that as a third time new track?
Or is it still just a once?
Because I was there when it was original.
Right.
I was there under Cody.
And now I will go back.
Well, it changed between the original and Cody.
Yeah.
Yeah, because there's basically been three different ones I've seen there.
You had the Earl one that was 18,000 miles wide.
You could put five dump trucks sideways on that thing.
Then you had a pavement.
Yeah.
I wasn't there for payment.
I was.
And then the Cody design, which was different than the other two,
which this design is the same.
I think it is.
Yeah.
They took the fence.
The wall down inside.
Yeah.
It's the same as when Cody had it.
I would call it the same as when Cody had it.
Because it didn't change the construction of the track.
Yeah.
The wing configuration.
The configuration.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But, uh, yeah, I know I've been in less Virginia motor speedway either.
So that'll be, uh, that'll be one on the list now to get to.
Um, hopefully, uh, all goes well still.
And again, good job to them.
Getting a lot of cars.
Hopefully that helps, uh, keep things rolling.
Obviously the extra money is always nice for the pocketbook and stuff.
So.
Well, it's good for them.
I mean, and they paid decent money.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Um, but it's good to see them to get a.
Slogging their bank account after all the work they did.
Yes.
To, you know, kind of start off.
Yeah.
Which, I mean, you know, let's face it.
As many people bitch and say, well, they should just be the old big track.
Yeah.
And it's like you never saw that many cars even sniff.
No.
One class, uh, with the old.
No, it's already proved that it made the right move.
Yes.
I think so.
Um, so hopefully making it, uh, I mean, I feel like they made it back into like one of those Ohio Valley staples.
Yeah.
That it used to be.
So always known for a nice facility.
You know, everyone loves the terrace lawn chair seating.
Yeah.
Um, you know, they did a good job bringing it back with all the facility stuff back with the big configuration.
So, um, all that stuff still in place.
Now you just got a better track.
Yeah.
Hopefully, uh, all things go well moving forward.
So I don't have much else on my list to Wayne as far as race results go.
A few things that I forgot.
Yes.
Are buddy Wolfie?
Yes.
Uh, so I helped Chad a little bit with yesterday.
Chad Wilson, race the 305 not knowing.
Uh, Dustin Angle was beside us.
I got to talk to Wolfie a lot with him.
Uh, he got to work on an arcade to Leo.
Oh, good.
Um, and it sounds like, uh, he's got a chance to work with the Sarge team on short track only next year, which he's already looked.
Says don't really conflict with Dustin schedule.
So it sounds like he's going to get to do some marker.
Good stuff next year.
Uh, Will Shank.
Yes.
Uh, great photographer in our region.
Uh, he says, hey, says he's still listening.
So uh,
Yes.
Shout out to Will.
It was a great guy.
Yeah.
Uh, you see him in a lot of non-wing shows.
Yeah.
I'll tell you was Will.
One of my things like I was doing photos for a while and I would go to gas city.
And, you know, I'm new to this and, uh, you kind of don't know everyone's attitude.
And if you're accepted or, you know, like, it's kind of a different photography can be a different animal to bust into.
Uh, one of my first time in the gas city.
Will's, uh, one of guys came up to me and obviously I mentioned dirt nerds.
I mentioned your dumbass and he knows all about us already listened to us.
And he actually was a former superintendent at a school over here outside of Toledo,
who we used to actually play against in sports when I was growing up.
They kicked your ass.
Yes.
So being yourself.
You was, uh, or maybe he was north view on one of those schools.
But bigger schools.
They both kicked your ass.
But he was superintendent retired from doing that.
So, uh, but super nice.
You got professional.
You got participation trophy though.
No, I didn't even play football.
We were always playing on a football so.
Uh, but Will was always super nice and accommodating and, uh, you know,
championed in between races and kind of made it to someone like me who would
Uh, one of our dirt nerds fans that actually met in Wisconsin last year,
but lives in this area.
He's hooking up.
I got in my car.
Got to bring it in.
Got some peppers.
Yes.
Some atomic dust.
Yes.
I tell everybody is my cocaine.
There you go.
Yeah.
Send in a pill bottle.
Yeah.
Very.
I like it.
I'm a fan already.
He says, uh, when you touch so make sure you wash your hands.
Don't be rubbing anything.
Don't rub your eyes or your wiener.
Yes.
Probably, right?
It's important things.
Yes, which we know you rub both a lot.
So.
Ouch.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Don't want to dip your balls in that stuff.
Yeah.
I don't know.
Some people may do it.
I guess we'll see how big of a man you are.
Go might be your ass.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
Thanks, Scott.
The wind's a sissy and can't handle spicy stuff.
But, uh, we appreciate spicy stuff.
You see until I had food poisoning.
I mean, every since I got food poisoning time, if I try spicy stuff, I, it kicks my ass.
So I know you, there was instructions with, with this stuff.
Don't use a lot, which I appreciate because I like spicy.
I don't want to sweat when I eat, though.
So, um, though, you know, I say dosing because, you know, it's in a pill bottle.
So it's kind of like drugs.
But the right dose, I think, will be important.
Right.
So we'll try it out, though.
The chilly season's coming up.
There you go.
Yeah.
I mean, Scott, I will use it for sure.
My brother, I think we've had something similar to this before.
Like, my brother used it in some chilly.
So he loves that kind of shit, too.
So it'll get used.
We appreciate it.
There you go.
Yeah.
So yeah, shout out to some, there's a busy dirt nerd weekend.
Yes.
For sure.
It was.
I mean, uh, unfortunately, I don't know if he's still listening.
He hasn't said much lately about Zach Pitorius.
Got upside down last night.
No, gotcha.
I know he used to be a dirt nerd.
There's a Bryce Dews.
Yeah.
Yeah.
He had a lot of lessons.
He actually had Alex Watson, a D2 Midget racer.
Actually, Alex's dad helps promote the D2 Midget series.
That's right.
Greg.
Yes, that we've had on the show.
Yeah.
Alex.
They struck a deal with Bryce to run
his sprint car last night.
Alex looked pretty good for never being in a sprint car.
Yeah, made the A and Rade respectable.
Maybe in Newsprint car driver you never know because this kind of
was kind of the purpose of
wanting to do it. So I know the Bryce is a Bryce plan on. Sounds like
come back for one more year next year. Sounds like they're working on a kid
number three. So that might, you know, change the schedule a little. Yes. Yes, but
Jeff Hoyne be running his midget again. Cool. So Jeff's looking for a different
trailer. So I've got talked a lot of dirt nerds fans yesterday. Deal. Only
other thing I had is kind of, I think there's new story, not so much new stories,
but I know there's been a lot of rumblings and you probably know more on some
things. We'll get to that. But I know one to bring up. I don't know if you saw
the hunt the front penalty for Zach Mitchell. See net. Yeah. So he got
penalized 100 points because of a tire that didn't meet benchmark manufacturer
benchmarks. I know Brett Colton was out on Facebook saying, hey, we do not suppose
they bought it from somebody at the racetrack like a vendors with what they're saying.
Yeah, they're saying, you know, we're definitely not trying to cheat. We're not
cheaters. It's not what we do to deny any wrongdoing. So very important to him to which
we all know this goes nowhere. Unfortunately, that's the problem I have with the whole
process. But Mitchell lost 100 points, which he was like two points out of the lead behind
Jimmy Owens. And now he'll be back to fifth and points with only like what eraser two left
if that. But he did win the North South or blue gray. Blue gray. Yeah, he won the blue
gray 100 on Saturday. Yeah, because I see people like, oh, he dope these tires. But yeah,
according to them, they, they very sound like adamant that they bought that tire from a vendor
at the racetrack that night. No yikes. Wait sounds. Yeah. So I don't know. Yeah, he was a $12,000
win on September 27th is what the tire came from. Yeah. So he had to fork over $12,000 in earnings.
Yeah. So bummer for them. If obviously, I don't know, I'm, I'm maybe a little nicer than most.
Especially the way this tire stuff's gone. You know, don't, don't necessarily trust their
testing processes. Well, it's not just a hunt the front thing. It's kind of all but Lucas oil,
really. It's almost like you want to, if they truly did buy it from a vendor, it's almost like
if you buy a tire from a vendor, the race that you get in tire test, you almost want to take a picture
of something bitch about your buying it. Yeah, like I have the race officials witness that you
buying it and mounted and saying, this is, this is it. It's almost was getting down to.
Speaking of tires, I didn't hear much on this. I didn't watch a no dirt tracker did some
talking about it. And maybe you did as far as sprint car tire guys. Slice them. Slice them.
Not really. Let's as late model guys are two. Okay. I didn't. Yeah. Well, it's funny. You say this
because I had an event in my trailer with my trailer a couple of weeks ago. And one guy stopped
in who I've known since I was a kid used to race bombers still, you know, keeps track of racing
and stuff. So I haven't talked to him in a while. He stopped in. So we were bullshit and talking
racing. And he was saying how the sprint car guys were doing this. And I'm just thinking he's
kind of fully, you know, let him go must be full of shit. And then I saw dirt tracker post that
headline. And I was like, Holy shit. He wasn't full of shit. This is actually going on. Yeah.
And late models aren't doing it as much. Yeah, which is making a lot of teams, especially like
305 guys. Yeah. In that. And so. So what's going on? So everyone knows. Well, nobody really knows,
but my first thing is the ones that are slice them. Probably don't open them. Well, what they're doing
is teams. Again, it was brought to me as a sprint car issue. Yeah, they'll run them for a
heat race or something. That's sometimes this qualifying hotlabs qualifying heat race. And then
go to swap tires and the old ones that they're throwing away, which a smaller team could use.
100% they are slice and sidewalls or whatever. Yeah, well, they're saying. So they can't be used
again. So I think it's a bullshit excuse. I could be wrong. Just my personal opinion. Yeah.
Some of the teams I seen says, well, they're doing it because I don't get as much dirt in the trailer.
Huh? That's what I said. What do you mean? I seen three or four teams say, well,
we do it because it gets the dirt off outside and it don't get so much dirt in the trailer.
And when we take them, just mount them in that much. So you're basically, but that makes no sense
me. Why don't you just let them out? Yeah, you just do Valstead and pull the back of the trailer.
Yeah. So as I said, it's not like a bullshit excuse to me. Yeah. Yeah, it sucks for the little teams.
And like some people's like, I mean, you're trying to get me on my soapbox, Elliot.
Well, I just don't know many details about it. So if you're that prissy,
that you're destroying a tire, that you can't sell, I mean, if you have one that much money
that you don't need to sell, use tires after a few deals or that prissy that gets your trailer
to tire to dirty, then go play badminton or something. Yeah. I mean, no, I, again, this was brought
to me by a guy who I'm kind of like, man, whatever. He's off his rocker with it. But then I see it
for a kid and I'm like, oh, shit, this is a real thing. So yeah, I mean, that's what everybody's like,
why then you know, excuses I've seen has been kind of
piss poor. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So it's like, I don't know. I mean, the reason you do it, so nobody could
use it. Yeah. I mean, so why is that? I mean, I'd say maybe you don't want it to find out what
they prepped it with. And have you heard is this a recent thing? Yes. Or is it like been going on
for a year? No, it sounds like it's been going on for about maybe six weeks. Okay.
So because I the way I understood it was kind of like this kind of rear is ugly head at the
King's Royal, maybe, but I don't know for sure. Well, and I do know in a very, well, I mean,
he'll tell you, I know you don't like him, but Robert Blue is bought him. He came right out and said
he bought tires from a plate from a team. He didn't say what team, but a team last year and threw him
in the back trailer. And by the time he got home, it stunk so bad from tire prep that he had no,
you know, just throw him in there. And so, yeah, I don't know. I mean, think about it. If you do
prep him somehow and somebody picks him up, you know, oh, Jesus, I got this tire from blah, blah,
blah, blah, blah. You know, I don't know. Yeah. Then the next event they're getting. I don't buy
that it's not don't get as much dirt in the trailer. And then yeah, I've never seen it as a problem
because it gets dirt off. I mean, tires, they do have a lot of dirt, you know, especially in Sprintcar
grooves and that when you dismount them, but you see people outside beating them with a hammer or
whatever, bouncing them while they're still air in them. Instead of cotton, I'm just take the
mouse to them, you know, you do. Yeah, I've never thought of cutting a tire as a way to let the
air out of it ever. Yeah, you know, like, that sounds like a piss porch use. Yeah, I know that was
an excuse to be honest. And I don't know how true it was. I just did some reading on it. Actually,
this afternoon, and I've seen three or four people while they do it. You know, some people was
doesn't because of this. Some people dirt, you know, get some dirt off tire easier and blah, blah, blah,
so the trailer's not so dirty. If that's truly why you're doing it, come on as dirt track racing.
Yeah, I get your participatory trace and throw that can be easy for me to say. Yeah,
get your last place loser trophy and get the hell out of here.
Yeah, the other one was trash hoosers are that we haven't more issues with.
Well, who's being junk? I'm not sure why grants blue. I mean, did he hit something on the track?
Did he know? I don't know. You've been seeing, seeing some of them, you know, blown a lot lately.
So I don't know if it's quality, if it's something in the track, if it's, yeah, I don't know.
Running over something in the pits even and you never know. Yeah, yeah, just a couple
topics there. I wasn't overly in depth with so if you know a little more than me.
Not a whole lot. I just did a little reading this afternoon because I didn't know it was really a
thing until the last two days. Yeah. Yeah, and teams like that you support each and every week
like AFCS like those are the teams that would use those kind of. Oh, yeah, and especially the
three or five guys all day long. Yeah. So I don't know. Yeah, I thought that they're going to do
tire testing and add can free month. Yeah, our guys love it. So if you got any dope tires,
just save them for when you come to add can free month, our guys will buy them. It's ain't going to be
any tire testing. Yeah. Yeah, the other action or action item I have on my list is just kind of
silly season rumors. I know we've heard a few things on the late model side sprint cars. It sounds
like it's cooking pretty well. Yeah. What have you heard? What do you got? Well, well, our brand
new one that happened today locally, the Brewmeister 16 car, seven years of the DJ foos. Yeah. I
didn't realize he's been back there for seven years. Seven years. Split. Yeah. My whole AFCS
reigns all seven years because he was in Jay's car and won the fast title because I did the
banquet with him. We had an awesome banquet in 2018. It was fun. It was a lot of fun. I
followed the motorhome and the parking lot so much fun. Good. Yes. Good for you. That was before
the banquet. And you weren't 50 then either. Seven years ago. Yeah. You weren't 50 yet. No. So you
can afford to do now. You'd like to break a hit problem. Probably. Probably.
But yeah. So I don't know, you know, they've struggled bad. Well, last year and a half. So I don't
know. DJ, I actually talked to DJ DJ today. So he's got something to works. It wasn't that liberty to
say quite yet. Yeah. There's all kind of rumors. I don't know if you've seen it was in the
97 car. I saw that atomic. So there's rumors there that, you know, don't know what's happening
there. I mean, I've heard all kind of rumors. I heard he had a ride and then it kind of got squashed.
And then he's in, you know, drove the 97 last week, which we all know has been looking for a driver.
So I don't know if that was an audition or just a one-off deal or. And, you know, late models.
You said some late models. I don't know if you read much of the right up with Josh Rice winning
in the Ratcliffe car at the time. But some. And I didn't read it. All as I read was a few people's
comments that sound like he may be alluded to. Because rumor is that Josh is going to go on national
tour next year. Yeah. That's been the rumor. There's rumors Ben Dalton Wilson maybe out. Yes. And
supposedly kind of sounded like he might alluded to that he was going to be in that car next year.
Yes. I remember seeing he said something like getting ready for 2026, I think. Yeah. That day was
there getting ready. And everybody took that as he's getting ready to run with Ratcliffe. And like
said, that rumor has been coming on for about the last three or four weeks that Josh Rice can go
looking so late model racing next year. So it is running Ratcliffe car. So. Ratcliffe. Or Ratcliffe.
Ratcliffe. Ratcliffe. Hinkerness. Yeah. What about 410 national scene? Well, 18 car. Everybody swears
still. Sheldon with Ripper. You know, Ripper. Ripper got fired. Yep. What we talked about that.
Ricky Stenhouse. You know, a lot of people was giving him shit because he made that video of like,
hey, but I full hard with everybody's call. He's lying. He's full of shit covering his ass.
I wholeheartedly believe. I mean, that was very believable what he said he did. Or they want
or not. He was gone after that weekend because we need to get ready for next year. Yeah.
You know, I'm 100% believe that. I don't think he was throwing any shady stuff, which I mean,
it makes sense. But yeah, 18 Sheldon, Geel, and a Spire Motorsport slash Stenhouse,
Marshall, deal based on an North Carolina. I suppose they're already building cars with a case of
Brad Sweet's old crew chief. Protsman. Yeah. Yeah. I suppose that he's already building cars.
Sounds like there could be a lot. Yeah. Everybody's like, where's Don Don going?
That's the big one. Some people saying seven or not seven, but 17. I don't know. Okay.
I don't know. I don't. I'm not saying he's not in, but I don't see him as. Naus has a target for
guys. Yeah. I'd think Donnie's passed that target. Yeah. He's not that young hip kind of flat bill
hat wearing guy. Exactly. He's not, you know, murdered out in black, you know, the typical. Yeah.
He's a grown-ass adult. Yeah. So, but maybe they want to span their market a little bit because, you know,
older fat people drink it too. Okay. He's not so fat anymore. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I don't know. I don't
don't know. And, you know, I, sides deals not going how I thought of what I thought they'd be
really good. Yeah. I thought they had more success. Yeah. They're struggling for sure. But, uh,
yeah, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. Do you heard a lot in this last week? Not really.
Do you think, uh, Ryan Tim's gets an offer and something bigger? Sounds like he already said he
wasn't taking it. Oh, okay. Sounds like he got offered maybe seven. Sounds like seven or
nine. Why do I keep saying seven BC is 17? Yes. Sounds like, uh, two younger guys has turned it
down just the rumors I'm hearing. One of those Ryan Tim's is like, I'm happy with this team. Yeah.
And I want to do the same thing. Uh, I'm going to go on for how you sits again, running for Knoxville,
then picking shoes. Mm-hmm. Um, which obviously it worked for him. If it is, kudos to them. Yeah.
I mean, here's a kid that's like, okay, when you get on tour, you know, you're grounded. Yeah. Yeah.
Where no, I want to race in and probably still race some two. Yeah. You know, stuff and, uh, kudos
to him. And I, and I heard, and I don't know how true it is. I have not talked to him. Uh,
so people's like, oh, we know you talked to him that I've not talked to him, but I heard Cole
Macido got offered a two. And he turned it down and said, no, we're building something here at
the two. We made a lot of progress. I'm staying there. Oh, very cool. That's what I've heard. Don't
know how true it is. Mm-hmm. Um, we said I have not talked to him. And if it is, kudos to him too.
Yeah. Because a lot of, a lot of these younger guys take the shiny penny. Yes. For sure. So
and, and to me, just knowing Cole the way I know him, I'd say that's true. If that happened,
I could see Cole Macido doing that. He's for lack of a better way of saying it. I'd say like,
Cole's a vibe guy. Yeah. And I feel like two C's got good vibes. Well, they took a risk on him.
Yeah. And they know they're, they know they're like, they didn't expect this year to be
the year. Right. You know, this is first time in the outlaws. There are team that went from 360s
to four 10s. Like, they're still all growing together. And I can see Cole enjoying that. So
and then you go to the 17. It's more of a business atmosphere. Obviously. Yep. You'll look at
social media. There's plenty of opinions on the Marshalls, right? Yeah. So, uh, it's maybe just
a mess you don't want to do. I think Jennifer Marshall listens to us. Like as she's always, I'll say,
you've seen all that stuff and I know whatever, whatever. Yeah. She's always shared all the AFCS stuff.
She's messaging me about AFC. I hate good job. I love what you're doing. So that's the only side I've
seen of them. So he's been positive. Yeah. But yeah. Yeah. There's definitely, there's definitely
some people differing opinions. Well, and sometimes, you know, yeah. I know. But yeah. So I don't
sure who's in that car. But a lot of rumors. Yeah. But a lot of, uh, you know, supposedly a couple of
people turn it down. Don't know for sure. Yeah. The other late model, maybe Spencer Basin going
there. I said, his name's getting thrown around a little bit. He kind of fits that mode of
yeah. Nostype driver. Yeah. Yeah. I know late model wise, like do you have the one bringing over
10 in the rigs car is kind of a people don't really know what's going on. But I haven't seen anything
concrete or any other evidence that he'd be moving on. So I don't know what the what the full scope is.
But excuse me. Yeah. I don't know. I just wanted to see what else you heard or what about Lucas
oil. Did you hear? There's some rumblings and I sure, you know, because we all know for us Lucas
passed away. Yeah. And Morgan's been scaling down the racing deal. And I haven't seen much
by her dirt track or track or track or talk about the other day says that, uh, there's some aspect of
announcements to some changes in Lucas oil. I mean, I think you'll, if there is, you'll hear about
it next weekend because I like doing their press conference. But well, and so who steps up
and buys it if say somebody buys it. I think this is going to be a flow deal. I mean, well yeah,
it'll be flow away. I mean, to me, it's way to, if it goes away, somebody's really stupid.
Yeah. I mean, it's an established touring. Well, I would have got a very good established touring
deal. I mean, they're, you know, it's top. I'm not. Yeah. So let's say
does a Tony Stewart buy it or a Rico or a Kyle Larson or a, yeah, or does flow. You know,
to me, it'd be a, because you know, rumor was, I don't know if you remember way back.
I think I mentioned it way back maybe April, maybe rumor was Brad sweet and Kyle Larson
was looking at kind of with flow like the high limit that they next year was going to be Lucas oil
light models. But then I kind of heard they was off of it. And obviously Brad bought the NARC series
now too. Yeah. So, you know, but that was the, getting in the season, that was super strong rumor
that high limit full time this year that is buying Lucas oil for next year. Yeah. Now, is it? I
mean, with the flow. I wouldn't be surprised if Florida has some ownership stake in it. Yeah.
And for that transfer to happen. Not going to get Kyle and Brad, but let's get some late-mile
people around it. Yeah. I think that's, I mean, I think that's why flow would probably do it
because they don't dirt on dirt, right? So you have a lot of smart late-model mines already.
Behind you. Well, yeah, you get rigs beer. Yeah, rigs being DJ and then you know, Todd Turner. He's
been around right. Well, yeah. You know, well, I don't know. That's one thing I hear a lot of
criticism is that's what you get when a photographer runs a series. So, you know, be it as it may,
I don't, I don't think he's done a terrible job. I don't think it's right and bad. Yeah, I don't
neither. Obviously, he's been successful. I don't know. So yeah, I think it'll be interesting to see
what gets announced there. Yeah. Guys, there's a couple sounds like couple announces could be
Hinging El Dora. It doesn't work dirt track world championship return back to El Dora. Yes. Hot
rumor is this not. Don't know. And what happens with the Luke? So who's I will say, I think that
hinges on Big River Steel because Big River Steel is the one putting the money up for the extra point
money for the playoff format. Uh-huh. And I think Big River Steel wants it at El Dora. Yeah.
So if that's going to be your season finale. Well, Luke, so I need somebody. I mean, I,
if it's Luke's soil, I mean, give them my number out of it. If they want to contact
their nurse email address, I mean, I'd be willing to talk. No, I'd be willing to talk to run it. Yeah,
yeah. I can run like my old series. I don't know. I mean, Miss learn Devon's been wanting me to. Yeah,
well, yeah, I can get down with the late model. Yeah. I mean, you piss them off and form in
verse right away. Right. I put in in verse and no professional. Everyone's going outlaws, baby.
Everyone's going outlaws. I'd have to have to play by their rules because they like, you know,
get a trophy for 28th. Yeah. But, uh, yeah, I think that points deal is severely impacted. It's
possible because of big sponsorship. Right. Right. And I think those big sponsors wanted it
out of Dora. I mean, just to be the showcase to showcase. Yeah, it's a showcase facility. Yeah,
people, the cars, obviously, the events got, you know, how many different classes, a lot of cars
throughout the weekend. Um, obviously West Virginia Motors people, they can handle a lot of cars.
We saw that. But, uh, and a lot of people probably got to cut some teeth there a little bit
before or something like that would have like you said, like a hillbilly going there or something
maybe, but as far as the impact of that weekend, uh, the dirt track weekend, you know, it's probably
got to have some things change. Uh, you know, it's not just saying it's Lucas Oil that gets to
and Carl short for that matter that gets a dictate where it goes. I think there's some sponsorship
dollars and I would, I would think so. So yeah, but yeah, that you're right. That's been something
everyone's kind of been wondering is the dirt track stay there? Some people, I've seen a lot of
people want it there. I was Virginia. Some people say we want it back at Lawrenceburg, give them
another shot, you know, like there's, there's all kinds of different requests. Who knows what
happens? I put you getting a lot of these guys not wanting to run Lawrenceburg because it's
like, uh, something you said guy said, like, man, this is more sketchy than Al Dora. They used to have
Lucas Oil late model race there and they don't anymore. No, um, and I was there for one cars for
20,000 to win for use that which is pathetic. Yeah, pathetic. And I was there for one of those
Lucas shows. It was okay, but the racing is just not great. No, I mean, I love the old Lawrenceburg.
So I remember the old with the covered grandstands and the, the no wall while no wall right
against the track where you'd let off and the like standing in the infield quarter mile track. Yes,
um, I mean, I ain't saying they got shorten it, but maybe bring the bottom up. Maybe worse,
not so high, but I don't know. They tried it a little bit. Yeah, say they took some back out,
but yeah, it's still just early. Yeah, there's a lot of people that won't race there anymore
because it's too hard on the equipment. I mean, if they don't write, they ran weekly sprint cars,
but another reason is there's worse paying weekly sprint car track around too, but then they kind
bumped that a little bit and still got no cars. So that comes a factor of it's too hard to
track around weekly on. So yeah, no, the new people's tried different deals. I don't know. Yeah,
I mean, they had high limits there. Granted, it was Thursday night or whatever, but still,
they only had 23 cars, 22 cars, which if it had been anywhere else in Indiana, Ohio region,
they should have had 30 to 40 easily. Yeah, for 20 grand a win. Yeah. Yeah, still,
I mean, we're not even in the offseason yet. So who knows how it's all going to shake out between
this coming weekend. We'll probably know more for a lot of things. The world finals, obviously,
a big weekend for announcements as well. And then it falls fails. PRI comes in December.
I think it's going to be a crazy, crazy offseason because I already know these eight rumors.
The schedules are getting changed some because let's race two's always been the first weekend of May.
Yeah, forever. I heard that's changing to like third weekend. And that was been
Attica Sharon weekend. Well, I hear that's changing supposedly to the first weekend. Now, I don't know
Zach has then we got world out all eight models. You know, the big one at Mansfield. Now,
we all out all eight miles it. You know, West Virginia, you know, sprint cars. Were they
fitting in, were they picking up, you know, because yeah, Mansfield, I'm sure is probably trying to get.
Well, they switched their first race as the first weekend in May. Right. So they're not going
to be over. Let's race two now if let's race two change. Yeah, but they're going to be against
Attica or Sharon, Sharon or I'll show, which is closer to Mansfield than yeah, El Dorr. So yeah.
But, you know, as West Virginia motor speedway and Mansfield and some of these people
putting a bid in for like an outlaw or high limit show, you know, how that affects the landscape
a little bit. And so I think it's going to be interesting to see how some of the schedules lay out.
Uh, what happens with the All Stars, you know, I mean, that you've seen, uh, you know,
they've been regional. It's regional this year. Then they've said that that's the way we'll make
a regional series. But you see them put a thing, where do you want us to be? And there's tracks all
of people all over. I mean, do they expand a little farther? Who follows them? I mean, they had some
races with 15 cars. Yes, you know, like let's not be, don't be around the bush like the reality is,
they didn't have some successful shows. Right. So what happens there?
You know, local tracks are talking about changing up their schedules, you know,
yep, a little bit. So, you never know if you're going to see certain classes race every week,
maybe it's especially events, maybe it's, you know, yeah, you know,
Atticus elicited people to just this past week, Justin, this guy did live videos.
So then you want to see a lot of snow, lots of comments there.
One, you know, when we've dogmatic for a long time, we love them there, but they do need to mix
it up a little bit. Oh, yeah. I mean, it's been the same for 19 years or whatever now. I mean,
you know, I mean, you've got to get a few things in there. And I wholeheartedly believe
one of the time period, I think it's going to affect 305s a lot. I think, you know,
freemont seven meetings in a few weeks. And I hear a lot of rumors about 305s. You get on
marketplaces, see quite a few for sale right now. Some big teams too. So, um, you know, I
wholeheartedly believe Atticus freemont both need to give 305s some weeks off, 405s some weeks
off and late miles some weeks off for weekly race. Because it is just too hard, especially
two tracks working. Yeah, especially the 405s, the spectrum, the race 40s sometimes. Yeah. I mean,
it's just you can't do it anymore. Yeah. You should, especially through all 5s, it's 200 bucks
from like 13th or 14th last and 1000 win, you know, it's a $5,000 $5,800 purse.
You can't, you could at one time, but you can't race 40s sometimes between the two tracks. Yeah,
on that pay. You just can't. I mean, you can't. Yeah. Um, you know, the 410s, you know,
they're paying a lot of money, but it's harder and harder to do it with all the expenses. So,
I think and, and you know, the late models, I mean, high times is some late mile guy say, yeah,
we don't need to be here every week and be nice to have at least one week and off a month.
Mm-hmm. You know, and I think that's some of these guys are going to have to do like, okay,
late miles off this week and we run modifides or dirt trucks or. Yeah.
It's 360s or what a brand. Yeah, yeah. I'm on wing. Yeah. Well, you know, whatever,
steel block late models, we don't need to hire late miles, bring steel block. You want still
one late miles? Let's do the Ohio, whatever they're, Ohio Valley or you know, I mean, I think that's
what we're going to have to do. I say we, but tracks are going to have to do, you know, because right now,
tunatic and freemont, you're talking 40, whatever shows for the 410s and 305s and it's just,
it's hard to do and that's why I think after you, there's a lot of guys, it's not race them
beyond those shows because they're like, we, you know, we need to tear down sooner or, you know,
whatever. So, yeah, I think, I think these next, I think this off season is going to be interesting,
but I think on the local scene, you see, all you gotta do is look at in a classified, there's a lot
of stuff for sale, not only at 305s, but there's some 410s stuff for sale. I mean, some late model stuff.
I mean, so hell, run compact sometime, convex. Yeah. Yeah, we'll see, again, it's only October 13th
right now as we record. So, what's going to happen probably? I think there's going to be a lot of
ride changes. I mean, you know, I've had a couple people like, who's into the 16? I mean, I don't
know. I mean, there's some teams. My guess is just my whole hearted, I guess they've been struggling.
One of it is because, you know, stuff's more expensive. As a family ran team and they've been around
almost 70 years or close 70 years and it's a lot different and there's some other teams that ran
really well that's struggling. I, I expect that team to turn into one. I expect two teams to turn
into one. I think I know, I mean, I have no clue. I haven't talked to, I talked to D, DJ today.
He's got something going on. I have no clue about 16, but I think I won't be far off. I don't think
of what I'm thinking in my mind. I can see them combining with a team that's been saying, hey,
this is going to be my last year, close to my last year, you know, another family-owned team that
I think they'd be a good merger. Yeah. But then you take Carway, just like the 24 and the 14.
Everybody's like, oh, God, Rico's driving for TSR. No, basically combined two cars into one. So
you can miss the car. I see maybe that happened with the 16, maybe like a 35 and 16 combined or
you know, something like that. Yeah. I don't know. Just spitball and I haven't talked to anybody.
Yeah. Then where's DJ Go? I mean, he could be a chance for the 97, but if Zayn's in the 97,
could he be a chance for the four? Who's in the four of Zayn's? Yeah. Well, and you saw
the five things. That's a little tragic. I was posted a, like, you know, cap on the season,
but I didn't realize he drove five different cars. Yeah. Yeah. He's in the 49X, the 20,
the naggy 28, the 97 he stepped in. Yeah. And then it's 3N. Yeah. 3J car. So he's,
he had a busy season. Yeah. Two wins at Wayne County, but yeah, it's taken some efforts like that
to keep someone going. Right. You know, if you could find a ride for a race or two, you're going to
take it because it saves your own stuff. Right. So it's hard to, hard to fault anyone for that.
Oh, yeah. Definitely towards in the season here where, you know, some of your regular rides are done.
They'd say like planes. No, they said, Hey, we're going to race this, this, this, we're done.
You know, so maybe nice. I was like, Hey, Zayn, you want to come race a few races? You know,
I mean, there's $15,000 one show yet. They're in a couple weeks. I mean, the 97's ready to go.
I'm just going to say somebody's going to be in it. Yeah.
Well, you look cold. Duncan. He's been running the 8.79. Yeah. Down there. Not even his own,
it's dominated atomic. It has anybody running his own card down there. Yeah.
I think I know what'll be interesting. Obviously, but I'm asking,
I think we talked about Mansfield coming back. I don't know. I know you've heard some and I've heard
some. Doesn't sound like they're really going out of their way to work with many people. No,
just El Dora. So that kind of concerns me a little. Concerns me a lot. And not, and to be honest,
I don't think it takes much away from our guys right going there. I think it's going to hurt
Mansfield if anything. Right. Because they're crowd. Like if you go against the World Outlaws
and Sharon. Yeah. Have you ever seen any of the videos from World Outlaws sharing?
Yeah. We're at 154 cars there and a crowd full of people. Yeah. And then place seats
them all the way around in this capacity. Mm-hmm. Okay. A $5,000 show. Okay. That's going to get some cars
without a doubt because not everybody's going to go to Sharon. Yeah. But where are you getting fans?
Is there, I mean, you'll get some fans because it's Mansfield and it's new, but
it's not like when they raced against Knoxville. Yeah. Because Nothin races against Knoxville. So
that was kind of a home run. And it's 10 hours away. Yeah. So that's home run deal. Yeah.
This will be different. Yes. And how many times do they do that? Exactly. If they do that a lot,
he might not be good. It's not a good way to play nice in the area. We'll say, but
could be wrong. I see they've changed some management there. Did you notice that?
Yes. Not surprised. I'm shocked. I was totally shocked. That guy that's basically ruined
two other tracks or got, you know, in trouble for having one. That's it. Yeah. One of the young
girls ascending pictures that he got it for sexual horror or got fired for sexual misconduct or
harassment. Yeah. Okay. I just shocked. Yeah. When everyone saw it, we all said, really?
Really? Sure. And obviously ended it in a quicker and I thought I at least thought they'd have
a couple races where he'd at least be around some people. Yeah. Yeah. I didn't think it pulled
the plug so soon, but the right thing to do, I think. Yeah. I mean, and the problem is the guys
tried to do good for the sport. He just has some habits and whatever.
Something that other issues. Yes. Personal issues. Yeah. I don't know who he talked. There's
some people really on a side and there's some really people not on a side. I thought it was kind
of bold by the announcer. Yeah. To mark safe. I saw that. Well, first, I was like, is that a
joke or is he serious? And then I looked more into things and yeah, it was legit. Yeah, I was like,
it's kind of bold move. Yeah. Matt Tiff honed it. He says, hey.
Yeah. I know not a lot of your surprise, egg in my face, because I'm owning it. I was warned.
Been listening. Yeah. So hopefully, hopefully, what we just talked about before going to get
some other tracks. Yes. Hopefully, it improves a little bit. Well, hopefully, lesson number one,
learn, start listening to people. Yeah. Yes, you got money. And yes, I know you kind of got this
attitude of, hey, we're going to be the greatest thing in the world. But yeah, sometimes
attitude in this sport doesn't work. Yeah. If you don't play nice, you're, it's usually not
for your advantage or anyone else's take some warnings. Yeah. Hopefully, this may be a learning
lesson of okay. People are right about this. And I ain't saying there's a lot they're going to be
competitive about, but that's just kind of the or that everybody's saying that sounds like
they're going to work with the big shows of El Doran. Maybe not so much anything else. Yeah.
Which, like you said, with Wayne County, not far really not far. No, sharing not far,
adequate free, not far, hilltop, not far. Like you're going to have to just, you're going to have
to walk on walk to fine line and make sure you try to play nice. Yeah. It's all there is to it.
To be successful, I think like you, like Duane said, having that attitude of worth the greatest
and going to be the greatest, it's not bad, but it can, it can hurt you. Well, don't listen to
people. It's going to tell you, hey, it'll be okay. We were on the show because, you know, we're,
we'll have this and this and this. That's usually when, you know, yeah. I know kind of what you
mean when it's like, you're probably being told this, but it's like also they get like three people
that maybe follow the series all year. So it's kind of hard to, yeah, kind of hard to trust some
people. We'll say go, hey, we're going to go against the out all race, your first sprint car race.
Yeah. Okay, we're paying five grand, which you'll get some cars. Oh, yeah. But a lot of
local teams like run in the sharing because you just looks off enough where they have a chance.
Yes. And Mansfield will be unknown. Yeah, at the time. Like just hit start. Yeah. Yeah. A lot of
changes in our region. We'll say yeah, maybe for this year, we'll see. Well, not only do I mean,
you see tracks closed and then you see a lot of new tracks coming back like two, oh, one. Yeah,
Pike County. Yeah. The guy from the street outlaw show bought, where was that at? I can't remember
I mean, there's no key in the key. I don't see that stuff officially. Not that it's dirt,
but it's in dusty auctions this weekend or Thursday. Pike County Speedway and Magnolia Mississippi.
Yeah. Yeah. Which has been a track that's, I mean, if I'm not mistaken, I think both war
outlaw sprints and late models have been at, right? Could be. I think so.
Um, Jumbo Lion 100 was a big race there once upon a time, I guess. So it looks like they're
going to try to race that again, but that's Mississippi, but still like we see some like the Wayne said,
Kentucky tracks and Illinois still run strong. So yeah, seems like for everyone that we get
closes, there's one that open. Yeah, let's open back up. Got a lot of laws this weekend. Yeah, I mean,
uh, you see some other tracks, you know, looks like they've come back to life. So yeah, it all
plays factor if they get big shows. Yes. Well, I got none else talking about the Wayne. How about you?
Not that I can think of. Well, we'll call it a show. Hopefully everyone enjoyed it. Thank you
for listening. Thank you for tuning in. As always, we appreciate it each and every week next Monday
I don't know if I'll record or do I ain't won't be available Monday. So
Oh, not my advisory board meeting. Yes, local trade school. Yes, our local
educational school. I'm on the on my advisory board. We have a meeting every year with a dinner.
Yes, you won't cook on the grill for me. Yeah, well, they will cook for me. They'll feed me. Yeah,
do I look like a guy that likes food? How much do they pay? Think about it. How much do they pay?
Same as you. Okay, so yeah, nothing off. Hey, jokes on them. You come back every week for me.
If I went to 50, 50, they'll pay me. So yeah, I don't know if I feel like I should do something or
maybe we should record Sunday or Tuesday or something because it is dirt track week and to talk about
we can we'll see how plays out. Hopefully everyone enjoys the weekend. Like you said, if you're going to
their track, hit up the whistle stop for sure. Shot tap house. Not far away. Yes, Andrew would love
to have you say we're winning pole tabs for me though. That's right. Go down there by all the losers.
The next time to win goes he can get himself a winner. That's right. Piss Andrew. Good for all. Nice and square.
Andrew's face and gold. Yeah. I don't know. I might not want to seem this week in Steelers and Bengals
play. So I could determine if I go to Aldora, if I stop at the whistle stopper. Yes. So you're both
losers. That's what that means. Gotcha. Buddy still owes me for the rookie of the year for the
AFCS series. That's coming up. So I might have to seem. Yeah, big way to hammer down. Yeah.
Like listening to your bitch worth my money. That's how the Wayne works with sponsors. So if you want
to sponsor the AFCS series, get a hold of the Wayne Hancock. Still tank sponsorships for 2026.
