Track racing is when cars race on a closed course instead of public roads. The track shape and rules change how fast the cars can go and how hard they have to brake and turn.
“Sure Shot Taphouse” is another sponsor being mentioned in connection with Brady Bacon’s cars. Sponsorships like this are common in dirt racing and often show up as decals on the vehicle.
A “banked” track means the turns are angled upward, which helps cars maintain speed through corners by providing additional lateral support. Changing the banking and layout can significantly affect tire wear, passing, and overall racing line behavior.
Stock cars are race cars that look like regular cars, but they’re built for racing. They often run different races during the same event, so the schedule and racing style can change.
Hot laps are quick practice laps before the race. Drivers use them to get the car warmed up, but if the track is slick or rough, cars can get loose and flip.
“Turn three” is just one specific corner on the track. If a lot of crashes happen there, it usually means that corner is harder to drive—maybe slick, bumpy, or not gripping well.
“Less than a tenth of a second off track record” is a performance benchmark showing how fast the track was running. Tight gaps to the record usually indicate consistent grip and good preparation.
Indiana Sprint Week is a multi-night sprint car race series in Indiana. It’s a big deal for sprint car fans because it brings lots of top cars and drivers.
Some tracks build a medical area right inside the track. That way, if a driver gets hurt, they can get help fast and the race doesn’t have to stop for as long.
In dirt track racing, the A-Main is the main feature race—typically the top event of the night where the best cars compete for the biggest purse. The term also implies the event structure: heats and qualifiers feed into the A-Main.
Eldora is a famous dirt race track in Ohio. People who race there talk about it like a must-visit because the racing is intense and the track is well known.
A “wreck” is a crash serious enough to stop or heavily damage a car’s race. The hosts describe the wreck as “gnarly” and note the car wasn’t in good shape, which is typical dirt-racing commentary about severity.
“Points” are the season-long scoring system used in racing series to determine standings. The hosts discuss who is leading the points and how far behind others are, which is crucial for understanding the championship picture.
The crew chief is basically the team’s lead decision-maker for the race car. They help figure out the setup and strategy so the driver has the best chance to run well.
“Rain shortened” means the race distance was reduced due to weather, often after a certain number of laps. This can dramatically change strategy and outcomes because tire wear, fuel planning, and restart timing all shift when the race ends early.
Sprint cars are race cars that run on oval tracks. They’re lightweight, fast, and usually have a big wing to help them stick to the track.

Well, hello, everybody. Hello. There's Dwayne. We're here. I don't know. We're here back
at it a day late. Yeah, I got a few people in my surgery about that. What the hell you
that's good because I just are late notice from Dwayne, but not a big deal. And I wasn't
actually going to do a podcast yesterday and just not doing this week. And then Dwayne
messaged me today. So I just want to do it tonight. So he had some more important things
going on yesterday. So I wasn't able to be here. And one of those events was celebrating
Melissa's 50th birthday. So happy birthday to Melissa. Oh, well, she already did when
she started hanging out with you. So we know that Sunday when we went out for a birthday
dinner with her kids, I parked right next to the handicapped spot. We're gonna start doing
this just so you know, get you a sticker. Yeah, we're just going to know you're gonna
have to. But yeah, they had a benefit for a friend last night to use, you know, going
to and stuff. So plans changed. And yeah, it wasn't going to do anything this week.
It's been in the race since all of his life has been helping. Yeah, so I wasn't actually
going to do one just to screw it didn't feel like doing it myself. I we were out and about
last night. So but yeah, Dwayne texted me and said we'll do it tonight. Yeah, I wasn't
sure if we was or not. Sure. So like there we are. Make it over here. Let's do it. So
we'll make our three or four fans happy. That's right. We actually conversation about
not recording on Monday happened on Friday because we unexpectedly kind of expectedly
ran into each other at the hockey game Toledo. Of all people we knew like half the arena. I'm
pretty sure because we found Dwayne's daughter Shelby in line with Corey Mack and stop talk
to them and she said, Dwayne's coming with Melissa. What in the hell? You never said
nothing to me. Well, it was Star Wars night. So that was why we want my wife's huge Star
Wars fans. So and then my cousin, his family was there. I saw them. There's people up further
in line. We stopped talk to before we got Shelby. So yeah, I've seen a few people to
you. We had a heck of a time Friday in the wall. I got the way. Yes, it was. They started
out, looked pretty sloppy. We're like, Oh, this is gonna be a long night. Yes. That changed
as they came through and got us a free chili even. Yes. On the power. Oh my God. Who'd
Corey Mack so funny because he did not like he does not like that goalie that was playing
the other night. And after, you know, they scored right away a couple of times and they're
hiding you stop. Don't cheer for him. He don't deserve your applause. That was funny.
You know, yeah, so yeah, we hung out unexpectedly on Friday. Yes, a little bit. So but I will
say I was disappointed. No one else had their Star Wars stuff on except for my wife. Yeah,
there wasn't a whole lot of Star Wars things. That's why we went because Melissa obviously,
you know, because we've been in Star Wars together on Corey Mack. I was okay guys down
for Star Wars night. There you go. Yeah, I kind of actually, I mean, I didn't forget
about it, but it's like, man, that's coming up. And after our last podcast, I see this
as shit. I said, I'm a jelly and colds gone. Yep. That was her birthday present. Her birthday
was the 10th. Nicole's was but obviously, oh, we've been doing it all month. That was
one of the birthday presents. Saturday's birthday present. Sunday's birthday. There
you go. Yeah. Well, when you're that old, right? When you turn 50, you don't have any
birthday. I told her, I said, we got to try to get everything in that she can now.
What's bucket list, honey? Yeah, you know, it's all downhill. I'm going to get an angry
message later. I have a feeling. Don't feel bad. I got to go home. Anyway, we're back
for another episode to talk about some of the things going on in the track racing. But
before we get to that, as always, we got some awesome sponsors to thank. First is our friends
over at propane.com. You hear us talk about them each and every week. If you haven't visited
the website yet, be sure you go and do so. You can learn more about what propane can
do for you. It is clean, safe, reliable, affordable and American made energy of all
things. Unfortunately, we still need it. Yes, it was getting, you know, depending on the day,
we're gonna have 70s, maybe on Thursday, but you know, this morning was 19 degrees. So,
you know, try to race, can't race, too cold, warm days are like you said last podcast, the warm
days always happen during the week. Yep, shitty days are on the weekend. But no matter what's
going on, propane can help you out whether it be to heat you, heat you up outside, some outdoor
living spaces or for your house while you still need it. More and more fleet vehicle,
you know, systems are going to it, buses specifically, lots of school districts utilizing
propane now for their bus fleet. So check it out. It's good stuff. I can't wait to be using it on
my grill here soon once we get some warmer weather. That's for sure. Yes, go to the website,
check out more about what propane can do for you because as they say propane is energy for everyone.

There you go. Jingle is back. Yes. Oh, yeah. Our next sponsors are friends over at the whistle
stop bar and grill. Seven miles. You okay there? Dead train. Dead train. It was stuck at the crossing.
It was the rail. No, it was stopping to get pizza. So it was an arch pole is what you're saying.
They're always stopped. Whistle stop bar and grill just down the road from Eldora Speedway
in Ansonia, Ohio. If you didn't see aboard the Brady Bacon 21. Yeah. Now this year, I know there's
some other stuff going to happen with that ride and the sponsor scheme will change up a little
bit. Maybe see some stickers bigger in the future. We'll put it that way at some Eldora events.
Yeah, and maybe Knoxville Nationals. You never know. Anyway, whistle stop is a great place.
Great pizza, great burgers, great sandwiches, great dinners. I see they got their chicken,
fried chicken going again on Tuesdays and Sundays, which I'm jealous of. I really want to try that
stuff for some reason. Just looks really good. I don't know why. We'll go there on a Tuesday or
so. I know. I'm just not in the area on a Tuesday or Sunday. But anyway, go check out the website.
You can check out their menu. You can order online. They have a pickup window and if you're
heading down to the Speedway or live locally, they even have some DoorDash services available
to bring it right to your campsite. Works out well. whistlebarangrill.com is the website.
Also on Brady Bacon's cars, the Sure Shot Taphouse located downtown Greenville, Ohio. They've
got 46 adult beverages on tap. It's pour yourself. You get a pour card. You pick what you want. You
can pour it out by the ounce. You only charge per ounce and makes it real nice to enjoy some of
those goofy beers. You may not regularly try. It works out real well. If you go to SureShotTapHouse.com,
go to the Drink and Eat tab. You can click on the tap wall. They got everything from your
domestic beers like your Budweiser's, Millerlite's, Mick Ultra's, all that stuff,
to local stuff, IPAs, seasonal stuff, usually some ciders. The cells are on hand,
all kinds of different stuff to try. Like I said, they got 46 downstairs. I know they got
four more upstairs in the Bullseye Game Lounge. So if you're in the area, you go
check out the SureShotTapHouse. Go upstairs with your favorite beverage and enjoy the game room.
With the game lounge, got 24 arcade games, four duck pin bowling lanes, self-serve kiosk upstairs.
You load a card and you swipe away and enjoy some fun with your friends. If you got any
events coming up for business or parties or anything like that, you need. They got venue
spaces. They got different packages available. If you go to the website, SureShotTapHouse.com,
you can see all the details for everything or get a hold of them. If you have anything special,
you may be in need for. So check them out. That's right. Great place to...
Their menu is just spanned it a little, not much, but still they got some
decent food there too. Yeah, and they got the, I forgot the barrel dens there now too,
self-pour wine and bourbon on hand. So always good. I know he's got usually a couple good bourbons.
I'm a whiskey guy, so I usually keep track of what he's got on the wall. But yeah, pretty good place.
So for your ladies that like your wine, you can check it out. And for men like me, you got whiskey.
What do you want? My wife's bugging me.
I just saw Andrew's little promo video. You better mention it.
Yeah. If you... The whistle stopped. If you haven't seen Andrew came out with a new little video,
you know, the joke is it tastes like a six-year-old brood it and then you see his six-year-old son
Landon, who is my wife's little buddy now, you know, said he did the best he could making it. So
no kids were, no kids drank alcohol in the video. We'll put it that way. But I'm not sure. Nothing
on video. We'll put it that way. But yeah, check out the whistle stops social media pages for a laugh or two.
Yes, I've seen part of that.
Alrighty, some racing. Well, Dwayne did some racing this week. We'll talk about that.
It was warm. Yes. Yes, made a trip to, well, southern Indiana. I mean, not technically southern.
Yeah. Not far south. No, but far enough. True. To Perrigan, as they say down there. Perrigan.
Speedway, a track that, you know, I've been to one time and I was a time I was there. Oh,
I don't know. Six, seven years ago. I say, I remember you. Well, I think we did the podcast.
Yeah. Then and I remember you going. Yeah, six, seven years ago. Not having
high praise. No, I was like, if I never go back there, it'll be fine. Well, you know, they've
been improving it. New owners and I've heard, man, it's great. You know, it's really good now.
They're putting a lot of money in it. I wanted to go check it out and perfect. No way out 40,
which I've been to no way out 40 when it used to be at Brownsburg or Browns Town. Sorry,
Browns Town. Yeah, Browns Town. So that race moved over there and man, of course,
it was 79 degrees. Everything was canceled around here. So it was like, okay, we're either going
to go to Florence or we're going to go to Perrigan. So we went to Perrigan, non-wing sprints.
Some of the heavy hitters was there. I mean, Cummins, Blue, Swanson, Tall, you know, he's
running. He ran pretty good too, I saw. Yeah. So, you know, some, some good, good cars. And yeah,
we got down to 79 degrees and man, kudos to Perrigan Speedway, the new owners. They have
done a lot of stuff to it. I mean, there's no more sitting on a half tree stump on a slope
grandstand or slope bench. Real nice grandstands. The track is actually banked and configured now
because I wasn't impressed with the sprint car. Like, man, they can't pass or anything. I mean,
they can run two wide, three wide. They can pass. The restrooms are redone. I mean,
I was impressed. They got a wall now down the back stretch and part of turn two. But yeah,
they've done a lot and supposedly they're doing a lot more improving. I guess they just got some
acreage to do, that's spanned a little bit, some things too. So, yeah, great race, great crowd.
They kept announcing, I thought it was maybe a record crowd for the race track. Yeah. And
yeah, it was good, good racing. And they had the stock cars with them, 16 of the super stocks
or whatever. And they actually put on a really, really good show and didn't mess around that.
It was like a 20 minute intermission, which was good. And you said they're even running behind.
Yeah, they're running a little behind, but just getting the track around, but they picked it up.
I mean, it was, heck, we was still out there by 11. Before 11, we stayed for stock cars and
everything. But yeah, it was good. A great race. When Kyle Cummins gets in the lead, you're like,
well, first blue was leading and him and Cummins had a heck of a battle. They,
and it was cool because they was racing with respect. They slid each other,
but they gave each other enough room. And then if they knew they couldn't complete the tire,
they'd back off and they catch them. And I mean, that went on for like,
it was a 40 lap race. That went on for like first 12, 13 laps. And then Swanson got in there.
And tall was actually getting up there for a little bit, but then
they both got blue and Cummins was leading. And then the last, you know,
then kind of a halfway point Cummins started getting a half or about a straightaway lead.
And you're like, okay, I've seen this deal before because 10 K to win Cummins. And then all of a
sudden Swanson man just started running him down, running him down, running him down and
got him then blue got back up in there. Then Kyle Shippley is being doing Kyle Shippley things,
racing the leaders and then spun out in front of blue, a lap down and took him out.
About took Cummins out a couple laps before that. So it was like,
but yeah, good race. I tore up, unfortunately tore some cars up. I think four of them flipped
in hot laps and I think three other ones during night, but it wasn't the tracks. Well, I mean,
those guys were just going in there. I mean, everybody's blaming turn three. I mean, they
they went out and Lely did a little bit and made it thicker. So it was more
like, I don't know, just thicker when they went in there. So they wasn't like hitting the cushion.
And that helped a little bit, but they still flipped three cars after that. But
majority of flips are just guys driving in over their head or driving over each other. I mean,
it wasn't, I didn't think it was tracks fault at all. Track conditions that I actually thought
track was in really, really good shape. There's less than a tenth of a second off track record.
And it was very racy. Like I said, there's several passes and didn't tear up, didn't
run up, didn't, you know, and Jake Swanson was the winner. Yes. Jake Swanson up taking $10,000
win. I think it's the biggest win of his career, to be honest. Yeah, could be 32,
32 sprint cars and 16 stock cars. Okay, so not too bad. No, it's good. And a nice show. And they
did a good job. And kudos to Paragon. Like I said, they're doing a lot. They did a lot of
improvements and they keep saying they're going to do more. And, you know, we never got in the main
concession stand line because it was, I mean, there's so many people there. And it wasn't like
they was dinking around. I mean, they're just people running through it nonstop, but they had
a little one on the back that ended up running out of stuff eventually. But it had waters,
pops and popcorn and candy and bottles of water was a buck 20 ounce pop or power aid,
two bucks popcorn for two bucks. So if the burgers and fries and hot dogs network, that reason why
I see why it was packed nonstop, which, you know, where do you get a dollar water and a $2 20 ounce?
Yeah. And you know, yeah, how you go to gas candy bars more than two bucks at a gas station. Oh,
yeah, for sure. You know, so I see why it was packed. I mean, we're definitely we're thinking
about going back a couple of weeks when you sex there actually. Yeah. They got then they got the
was a Marvin O'Neill. So Marty Marty was a Martin grandpa. I can't remember. I thought it was
which I believe Lucas oil number I think are off that weekend. So because Hudson usually runs that.
So but yeah, if you in the Paragon area in you haven't been there in a while or even if you're
a fan and haven't been there for a while or never been there, highly recommend getting there. The
place to me is a hundred times better than what it was. I mean, it was I mean, I don't have a bad
thing to say about it. The racing was great. The track was great. The grandstands are awesome.
The bathrooms are a thousand times better than they were used to pissing a trough and it was
running all over the floor and water across the thing most of the time. And now I mean, it's
a lit and they got real toilets in there and Marvin O'Neill. Yeah, for 17 April 17th, Friday
night. So and they're trying to get bigger show, you know, they're working fat, had some bigger
shows. And when I seen the All Stars there on TV on flow, which, you know, we talked about streaming
Oh, how it hurts things. That's why I've seen it's like, man, that I didn't even recognize it when
I was on there. Look, look so much different than the time I was there for a pawn. They're
drained upon in the middle of three and four and all that stuff too and filling it in. So I mean,
they've done a ton of work and I would definitely if you're in that area and haven't been there,
like I said, never been there that get there. They got Indiana Midget Week show. They got a
Indiana Sprint week show. They got a lot of other shows and they're working with Linkin Park a lot
too. They just promote Linkin Park. Linkin Park was promoting them as hey, they's like we're off
these dates and we're trying to work a little better with Linkin Park to keep
Sprint car racing strong in our region because we know
they're all racing the same with the money right now that and they there's some that they do race
the same days, but they're trying to help each other a little bit more. It sounds like this year
and but yeah, cool. It was cool. $10,000 one show out of the gate and man, that place is packed.
Good for them and they deserve it because like I said, there is improvement. I mean, like
you can see new stone up on top of the hill cement walkway up front because it's a kind of a steep
climb from the ticket booth up to the grandstands that got a cement pathway there and where it's
not some new stone and so they've and like they said there and you can see where they're clearing
stuff off and like you didn't want to there's a wooded area and see they're cleaning up some of
that and and you still sit on the hill with your lawn chair and they actually let people
as handicap only Saturday night because they expect a big crowd. You can drive in on the hill
and park on the hill so many people in one and two as well and so they still kept that part and
but yeah, I was we got an infilled care center in turn three now. That's new this year. They said
like there's a couple guys like Harley Burns got his bell ring big time. I mean, it was then
another guy hit cage first on the track and it was like, I mean, dead science for a few minutes
because it was like, ooh, that was that didn't look good. Yeah. Well, and they said it helps the
ambulance so they have doctors and stuff right in there so they take them to the infield care
center and said that way we want to keep the show going so we don't have to wait for an ambulance
deal on that and so they got some, I don't know if it's a regular doctor or EMTs or what they got,
but they got an infield care deal that they said that they can treat. They said we can actually
treat a driver if he's got a wound or something right here that way we don't have to transport
them and try to keep up, keep the show rolling to keep the ambulance on the grounds. Yeah. So
and I mean, how many dirt tracks have that? Yeah. Besides old Dora. Yeah.
I mean, so said there. It sounds like they're looking for some more improvements they're working
on. So, but yeah, I was really impressed. Super impressed as one of those that I could
care less if I ever went back and now it's like, shit, we're gonna go back. Yeah. I know I follow
him on social media and they post all the stuff they've been doing. So yeah, it's good to hear
from someone that's been there that it really has made a difference. Especially when it was
in jeopardy, you know, it was one of those tracks that, you know, the owner was there for a long
time and really wasn't doing a lot of improvements and just seeing all stuff and when he left,
they're like, well, what's going to happen? Is it going to close? Is it going to, you know,
and they've always had good car counts because that was a track that raced everybody in the
A-Main. They used to run $500 to win 100 Saturday mains. They'd run heat races and
whether it was one car or 50 cars there, okay, we'll have three A-Mains paying 500 to win. Well,
they kind of got away from that and paying, you know, decent money and which is good. But
yeah, it was good. They're doing really well, which is cool to see. It was funny because
so we were sitting in the parking lot. We got there early and we took lawn chairs and they knew
they had chair seating, but we ended up setting backs on the aluminum bleachers. Wow.
Enough leg room that a big guy like me don't have the back in front of me. Yeah, in your knees.
I mean, it's, there's not, it wasn't in my knees. Yeah. I mean, there's two or three inches.
Yeah. Yeah. So, I mean, very, very cool there. But where are these guys talking? They was talking,
you know, a bunch of people as a first round. They're talking about, oh, yeah, we got to get
up at the Montpelier this year. We've never been up there and they're talking about, yeah,
we're going to go over here and they're talking about the one guy's like, yeah,
yeah, I got to get to Eldora and guy's like, oh, I've been to two tracks in Ohio. He goes,
goes to Eldora and he goes oak shade and he goes, let me tell you, so that oak shade is the biggest
shit hole in the United States. It's funny because he didn't know, I mean, we're just,
they're just listening. We kind of look at him and they're like, oh, oh, they're from Ohio.
Oh, shit. It's like, no, you're not wrong. I mean,
yeah, speaking of Montpelier, I was watching Ryan Sutter posted today
on the tracks page of video of everything they've kind of worked on. Yeah, they've been doing a
lot of stuff. So I know he cleared out some space for the pits. He trimmed some trees back so
haulers can fit a little better. Got some hard pack. There's some spots where the longer haulers
can get in now without driving into trees and off of turn two, they cleared out some woods back
there to get more pit stalls. I know they laid some hard pack gravel down in pedestrian areas,
trying to make it, you know, from the concession stand to grandstands to the bathroom. So hopefully
handicap accessibility is a little easier. Ransom new speaker wire, I think he's running a new loop
and put 80 loads of clay on the track. It sounds like so. I know April 11th. Another guy that's
doing a ton of improvements on a track that was closed for a while. Yeah, April 11th. I know they
have their 5000 the way in northern all star late model race. So maybe be able to make it down there
for that. But I know he's got a test in tune. I think he's trying to do this weekend, but or maybe
next weekend. But whether this far north has always hit or miss. Yeah. But yeah, even simple
stuff like that, like, I mean, it's still a lot like, you know, you just think, oh, they put gravel
down, but it's like, well, to tamp it and yell and then they remove some fence line that was kind
of breaking up parking and some other things like that. Big haulers. There wasn't too many spots.
Huge, huge haulers came in there and I heard him say that. Yeah. And that's what Paragon. They've
done a lot of work like that too. And it looks like they're doing more. So kudos to those track
owners. I mean, because we all know it's expensive and we all know running weekly shows. Some of them
you make money. Some of them you don't. And yet they're putting, you know, look at all the money
Ryan's put into Montpelier last couple of years in the offseason and Paragon's done the same thing.
It's cool to have owners that's taken over these places that hasn't done a whole lot. That's,
you know, really improving. It seems like, you know, as racers, we kind of have that like
same guys owned it forever. And, you know, that fear of what's the next person going to do? And
you think like, you know, our minds go to someone's going to buy it and not use it as a racetrack.
But we don't think about the next generation of owners because let's face it, we're getting to
the point of those original owners kind of coming to an end. They're all getting up there in age.
And, you know, that's an example, two tracks we're talking about there. The next generation
comes in and sees the potential and invests in the place rather than just getting your money and
getting the driver's money every week. One, that tells you they got a long-term plan to you or
should have because they're putting thousands of dollars. They ain't putting, you know,
oh, we ain't putting a thousand dollars in. I mean, you're tens of thousands of dollars in
these places. Well, probably more like a hundred thousand dollars. And then I guarantee you,
Paragon's got a hundred thousand dollars, probably two or three hundred thousand improvements to
the grandstands and just everything. Track, I mean, they reconfigured it.
Yeah, I know. I mean, look at tracks like, well, Taco Shade had the same family owner in it forever
and it's kind of only gone downhill. So there's no improvements, no improvement in pay. I mean,
you know, I hate to say it. I mean, I hate to see it because, you know, it's close to us and
they've had some good shows there, but you can't... Back in the 80s and 90s, it was the place to be,
man. Yeah, but it'll be interesting this year because Butler changed the rules so the Oakshade
guys can go there and they're paying more and we know what Butler's been doing too,
improving, improving, improving. I mean, I don't know. I mean, something's got to happen. I mean,
because it's still the grandstands. I mean, you know, there's a board maybe fixed here over there,
but I mean, the grandstands is in serious need of help. Everything's in serious need of help.
Yeah. The fence. The track. Yeah. It's like, you know, I don't know. I don't want to see, but I
think they're going to really struggle this year, I think. Yeah. Other racing going on. From the
last couple of weeks, word of outlaw sprint cars were in action out in Texas, the 13th and 14th
at Kennedale Speedway. The last three races, actually, even this past weekend in Oklahoma,
only had one winner. David Gravel won Friday night, March 13th at Kennedale Saturday got
rained out, so they had no winner. And then this past weekend at Lawton and Creek County,
I'm sorry, Kennedale Saturday didn't rain out. That was the unfortunate news of official,
two officials getting hurt, one fatally injured, unfortunately,
canceling the show early that night. But this past weekend, David Gravel ended up taking the
win at both. So, yes, Billy Hurt was the official who unfortunately lost his life.
ASCS guy for years. Was he still? I didn't see a lot of details. Was he just hoping out? No,
he supposedly started with the outlaws this year. Okay. And from what I've heard from a very,
very good source, the outlaws are taking care of everything in, you know, all expenses and
there's a lot of stuff happening there, you know, and from what I heard there and same thing with
I can't think of his name, the one that got hurt was the outlaw official. I know. I'll say Myers,
but I can't. Yeah, yeah, yeah, it is Myers. You know, because he was a true employee of the
dirt car. Because, you know, some of those guys are like subcontract 1099 type guys.
But he was in so they're working with comps taking care of a lot of his expenses and they
got to transport them from Texas to Illinois here soon. And
sounds like the outlaws are really stepping up with, you know,
hoping out. Yes. Yeah. And I didn't really hear specifics just sound like a kind of a freak
accident. I don't know what you heard. I know I didn't see a video or anything. So it's just fine
because you don't want to put something like that out. From what I heard, what about Billy was
working I think three and four and come back and I was on one and two. I was thinking a guy flipped
lining up and say it was lineup. I know. Yeah. I guess he came out of the pits and something he
flipped. So but anyways, and I guess he was going across like the inside of the front stretch. And
the other guy just took off like from his infield post and evidently didn't seem or something
in T boned him and he flipped over. Billy flipped over got thrown out. Well, they both got thrown
out. But Billy's landed on top of him. And from what I hear, it was, I mean, they all had,
they both had their helmets on and stuff. But from what I hear, it sounds like
he was gone then. Yeah. So yeah, it's sad, sad occasion. Yeah. Sure. Yeah. And it's, I mean,
you know, of course, he sees a lot of the internet people. I mean, yeah, it's a sad,
sad situation. And both are very good people from what I heard. Both are excellent people.
Well, Kyle Armstrong, new Billy, because he does Jerry Myers. Yeah, Jerry Myers was the other one
does the cherry bowl. Yeah. Yeah. And stuff. And Kyle's like, dude, he is an awesome guy. And
everybody I've talked to, I mean, I didn't know either one, don't know either one personally.
Yeah. But that's all I've heard that they're great people. And is this one of those deals? I mean,
and of course, you get the keyboard people like, Oh, well, how did that happen? Oh,
God, this guy, this or what? Well, you know, how they, it just, what was the deal is you get
those guys and, and we've seen it. I mean, is it something that we've got lucky on
a lot of times during the year? Yeah. I mean, there's, there's times that there's close calls and
it's just never happened. And unfortunately it did. But you know, these guys, when there's an
accident, um, they're out there on Jerry's from Illinois and a lot of late model guys
know him too, because he's helped out the late model some too. And, uh, but they're, you know,
Billy was a fire from in and that. So they're used to, you know, rushing in and doing the
front line deal. And they just, unfortunately I don't know, you know, how or why it doesn't
matter. Same results. Um, that wasn't like it was a, I was just, it was an accident. That's
yeah. Unfortunately, that's why they're called accidents. You know, just one of those,
um, you know, and then you gather, well, what can you do better? They should have had harnesses on
they should have this, they should have this, um, maybe, but you know, it's like, yeah, then
all you can do is live and learn from it. It's like, what can you do? Maybe have,
if you've got two of them, like one do center to three and four, the other do center and then
go around like the outside of the track to get, you know, the help the other guy granted.
It's not the best ideal situation for the driver. If they happen to be on fire or something, but
you know, I mean, I know there's a lot of talk of, okay, what war do you go from here?
So it don't happen again. I mean, it was just one of those, one of those deals. I mean,
unfortunate. I mean, unfortunate news. I mean, it's a dangerous sport, whether you're an official
driver, a crew member, a fan. I mean, you know, I mean, it's just one of those risky sports,
no matter what aspect you're in. And that unfortunately showed everybody it is. I mean,
I remember one time I was doing those live radio deals and I mean, nothing quite like that,
but I had a car laying in the fence about five foot from me. Cause I was post up in cornered,
they're supposed to tell you that something's happening, but it happened so quick. Like, you
know, I turned my head and you got the noise canceling headphones on and you can't hear anything.
And on the corner of my eye, I see something about that time, you know, like literally about
five feet from me now, five feet further. What would happen? I don't know. Yeah. I don't know.
Yeah, you know, I definitely have a sign for all of us, be it fans, crew members and drivers and
safety workers, officials, camera man's keep your eyes open. Yeah. Always, always be paying attention.
And that's a, I guess if there's only one takeaway about Paragon eyes confused on, which they did
good, but they have concrete barriers in the infield now three and four, all the photographers
were in them one and two, none of the photographers were and they kept going out of them and one
a sprint car spun to the infield and you seen the guy wanting to hammer it, but he didn't
cause the camera guy was right. I mean, right there and jump back and the sprint car guys
shut her right down. It's like, dude, they got those for a reason. Yeah. Um, that'd be the only
thing I would suggest is somebody have somebody in the field going, Hey, see that little area we
made? Keep your ass in there or you're not doing photos. I mean, I, I get it. All of drivers want
to clean, clear your picture, no cement barrier in your way, but I think today's risk, especially
as many, you know, two or three accidents we've had now. Yeah. You know, in the infields first
time, uh, I met our friend and listener will shunk at gas city. He about, you know, uh,
guys put in the infield and went to stomp on it and, uh, rich foreman official for usack,
you know, got in front of the guy next to the guy told him stop cause Levi Jones at the time
was the race director screaming into his ears and tell him to stop, tell him to stop. And yeah,
it was, uh, that was one of those where, yeah, I watch your ass, especially if you're in that
situation for sure. So yeah, for sure. Yeah. Sad news, uh, thoughts are with, uh, you know,
the Hurt family and Jerry Myers for a quick and hopefully painless and speedy recovery.
Sounds like Jerry's got a, got a ways to go. So I'm like, it's going to be one of those like
four or five, six month recoveries or so from what, what I've heard from some pretty close
side, a couple of people was there that night and didn't really want to talk about, you know,
which I don't want any details anyways, you know, just, uh, wish them God's, you know,
speed and quick recovery and yeah, smooth as it can be. Yes. And yeah, it's terrible for the
Hurt's family and unfortunately that's a ugly part of our sport. Yes. All right. High limit
was an action opened up their season out in Vegas last weekend. Let's say last weekend,
that's like the 13th, 14th, whatever. Um, three was it, uh, three shows in Vegas, three shows
in Vegas. Uh, Corey Day got his win on Thursday. Pretty good in a sprint car, the pavement stuff,
sounds like there's a lot of chatter. Well, uh, Larson won first night, right? Then day
was Larson day and, um, right. So got you. Cause they race Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday.
Okay. That's where I was confused. So yeah, right. I think it's Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday.
I'm reading headlines here and says Corey Avengers Thursday, heartbreak with Friday,
Friday victory lane. So yeah, yeah, or no, it's Thursday, Friday, Saturday this time.
Cause Larson won the, I guess it's a Riley cup now, not Xfinity and was in victory lane.
He's like, dude, how after 15 minutes, I got to go. Yeah. So, but yeah, I got Larson won
Thursday, day Friday and right. So Saturday, right. So Saturday. Uh, then they moved over
to central Arizona, Speedway. You see that go back to Vegas. You see Hunter Schoenberg flip.
Oh yes. Holy crap. He went for a heck of a ride. Have been Justin Peck a little,
little online. Yeah. I've been back and forth, but Hunter eventually said, yeah,
I misjudged it and, you know, screwed up. Luckily Hunter still here with us and
that wreck was as like, wow. Yeah. That car was not in good shape. No, they're in one piece.
You can keep out of that car. Yeah. It was pretty gnarly. Moving over to central Arizona.
Um, Rico nights there. Was it three nights? Yes. Rico,
a brew won opening night with the new boss, man, Tony Stewart on hand to watch.
Jay Mac took victory lane on Saturday. Saturday. They got their, uh,
their results a little janked on here. But Tanner Thorson was a big one who won on Friday.
And, uh, I believe Thorson's still leading the points. I think he was. Yes. He is by like 22
points. It looks like he's finished. I don't know where he finished Saturday. So I shouldn't
say it, but up to Saturday he hadn't finished out of top five all year. He's the only driver so far.
Sorry. I'm looking at a result. We may have our days messed up. Thursday night was Tanner.
It looks like. Oh yeah. Yeah. Cause I think it's Tanner, Thursday, Rico, Friday,
Jay Mac. I knew Jay Mac was Saturday. Sorry. Uh, high limit people if you're listening.
Yeah. Cause I watched. I know it was because, uh, Tanner, that's the only one I watched
because it was that hot game Friday. Then I was at race Saturday. I watched
those nights when Tanner won. Yeah. And Brad sweet was in action. Yep. Uh,
was it for Vegas or for Arizona? I can't remember or was it for both even?
But he was running well. And I think he had a mechanical issue. Yeah. He's wearing both. I
believe. But as we speak right now, they're prepping out in New Mexico. Yeah. Vato for
tonight for on FS one too. Yeah. I believe so. Um, last I seen they was 29 cars. Yeah.
Um, we're about while late models were in action this past weekend at Magnolia motor speedway
on Friday and Saturday. Who knows? We're probably going to screw it up anyway. So anyway,
well, weekend before, sorry, I forgot. They were out in Tennessee. Yeah. Mike Marlar got
to win Friday at volunteer and then smokey mountain. Bobby Pierce got to win. Yeah. Move
up to this past weekend, two night show at Magnolia. Bobby Pierce got to win
on Friday on Friday. Hudson O'Neill in the runway number six got the win on Saturday. I just
see his car. I did not. He let her relapse, but, uh, he clipped an infield tire. I want to say
three quarters way through it. And it was cave. I mean, it was, I said, who needs there?
Earl, Earl, what? Yeah. I mean, it looked like he asked back somebody big time. That front end
was all messed up and, uh, somehow held on. Yeah. Bobby Pierce leads the points and
howdy didn't even make the AMA on Friday. I was going to say, I knew he had issues.
But Pierce leading the points over Hoffman by 14, uh, then T max and third one 14 back. So,
looks like a two man race so far for the word of all laws. Everything,
lots of things can change. Lots of season left. That's for sure. Thought it out. Still waiting on
the word of all eight miles to get a serious title sponsor too. I mean, we kind of, I don't
know if we ever mentioned that earlier this year, but now it's just by dirt vision. Yep.
Word of all eight models and, uh, who was their sponsor before? I don't even remember. We've
gone through so many. Um, the last one was, was it real American beer last year? Yes. Yes, it was.
Um, looking for his news title sponsor said they had one, you know, a couple of months ago, I saw
Carter, Brian Carter from World Racing Group said they had some prospects and thought
some things would be ready, but I have not heard anymore. So, um, other news,
kind of on the late model side of the world, just because dirt on dirt puts it all out there.
Um, I don't know if you saw, but it's a track I kind of wanted to get to. Don't think I'm going
to be able to anymore. Mountain View, Tennessee. Yep. Going to be sold and will no longer be
operators race track. It sounds like I stayed 20 some miles from the place one time and didn't go
to it. Cool little quarter mile. Uh, looks like a cool little place, but, uh, I know they had
some super late model races here and there and, um, kind of a buddy plumbers a favorite track. He
says, yeah, it's, uh, from my understanding, it was kind of, I don't know if it was an old track
that someone revived it was. And I knew they put a decent amount of time and effort, prime money
into it. So bummer to see that go. Yeah. Some lady actually did it and all that. So, and then, uh,
other news, Randall Edwards out as Josh Rice's crew chief. Yeah. Just after, uh,
speed weeks there. That was interesting to see. I don't know. It doesn't surprise me the way
their speed weeks went. Yeah. They had a rough speed weeks. Randall Edgers don't remind me of
being a patient type of guy. Yeah. I don't know if it was him or a team or what, but, uh, yeah,
it was kind of interesting. I mean, Randall seems like a big brain kind of guy. Yeah. They're late
models. So, um, but a little bit of a shock. Maybe, maybe not. I don't know the inside details
of everything, but, uh, yeah. Josh Rice love a new crew chief. It sounds like, uh, Casey Burdett,
Parkersburg, West Virginia races in the middle of Ohio Valley quite a bit. Uh, lands a ride with,
uh, Cody Summers team, the DRT ride, uh, for the dream metal door. It was, uh, kind of a random
draw the bucket, I think. Yeah. Well, they did finalists and all that stuff. And then I know
you could vote and then there's some other people. I don't know how they, yeah. Casey's been racing.
He raised models for a long time, switched the mods in the last handful of years, but, uh,
he's never tried to qualify for a crown jewel at Aldora. So that'll be an interesting development.
Uh, word of outlaw late models lost a competitor. Jake Tim announced from Minnesota that they were
going to be hopping off the tour due to costs and scheduling and all that stuff. So, well, I think
you're going to see more like Nick Hoffman said from North Carolina to go to Tennessee that first
weekend is 900 and cause diesel's over five bucks. Yeah. I'm going to play as 945 bucks to fill a
totter. He says, you got to make the main and a guy like Jake Tim, I like Jake Tim bought some of
his merch at, uh, the dome. Um, but he's a guy that's not always in the main. Yeah. You know,
he's one of those guys, you know, cause they got what, 17 cars kind of like. And so they're not
all making a main and some of them don't get provisionals cause they only do a couple.
And if you get an emergency, you don't even get paid unless you finish so well. Yeah. So
I, I honestly think you're going to see more guys like in that spectrum of drivers. I don't know,
Freddie Carpenter is going to stand you a Lucas oil one time as he had to be honest. But
I think you're going to see that from both series because you can't go out on one of these tours
and travel 40, 50,000 miles during the season with the prices of fuel on that right now and
all the prices for, for tires and everything else. Yeah. Nothing's getting cheaper. You can't
be a B main car on one of these tours. Yeah. For sure. And in light miles, at least sprint cars,
we have it in our area in Pennsylvania where you can drop off tour and run, you know, Ohio and
Pennsylvania and be good. But light models, one good thing about them, there's a ton of places
that raised 10,000 of, look how many, look how many light miles shows are 5,000 or more,
five or $10,000 every weekend. You can find $5,000, $10,000 twin, you know,
four or 500 bucks to start a light model race. And, you know, in several areas of the country.
So a guy like Jake Tim, he says, we're still going to travel, but it's just going to be make
more sense and hit these shows where, Hey, it pays good money. Make the main. It might only be
300 miles from home instead of 700 or whatever. You know, so I think you're going to see more
of that, especially in late models, which sucks for some of the series, but you got to understand
dollars and cents right now. That's how some of these teams are going to survive. I'd rather see
them do that than drop off total racing. Like Brian Bell, sprint car team. I don't know if you've
seen that guy. It's kind of been, don't follow any series, but kind of been out of Tennessee for a
while. It says they got their whole operations for sale. There's like, you know, we're racing
four 10s out of Tennessee. So we got to travel. That's just, you know, because come point, we've
been his dad or what says they, he's owned the car for 50 years. And it's just like,
you know, can't do it now. It's just getting more and more. So, and you're seeing some of that
happening, but I think you'll see some more, a few more outlaw guys. And I think you see a few
Lucas oil guys drop off and just, I think it's easier doing late models because there's so many.
Yeah. You could go find good paying races within three to four hours easily.
Yeah. And that's why you see some of them. That's like, well, like Brandon Orton's getting
the shit right now because he's hitting a lot of those shows and like, Oh, he's cherry picking
20 grand here, 10 grand. Why not? Yeah. When you're off, when your series is off.
That's what they're for. And then the tracks want you there because that's what brings things.
Yeah. And that's what Davenport's doing this year. Yeah. You know, so I think you'll see that more
in the late moths and you said sprint cars, Ohio, Indiana, they'll be good, but it's hard for one
of these, I don't want to say mega teams or one of these high dollar teams that are, you know,
have full-time employees and stuff on sprint cars to race, not be on a tour and get to home money.
That, you know, it's a little harder, but if you race Pennsylvania, Ohio, you can't, you know,
it's good enough money weekly, a lot of, you know, a lot of four, five, $10,000 when shows,
7,500, you know. Oh yeah. The late moths, I think it's a lot easier to do. Yeah. Only other news,
which was announced to believe today, Atomics Lucas Oil Show for this weekend was supposed to
be Friday, whether it looks like shit. They moved their show to Sunday because Brownstown's
racing the icebreaker on Saturday. Which looks a little chilly too. Yeah, so it'll be keep an eye
on that for weather. You should go to that. Yeah. But we're changing. Changing her up, huh? We're
going to the Supercross indoors in Detroit because we haven't been Supercross yet this year and the
weather just don't look that great Friday or Saturday, to be honest. Speaking of late model
races, people are cherry picking at. Duane brought it up, but I was going to do this before news
type stuff. But yeah, a handful of more local regional races going on. Where was this one?
Smoky Mountain, Bobby Pierce, yeah, yeah. But like Blackwater Speedway and Florida was
racing this weekend was 4,000 and 7,000 to win. Mark Whitener won Friday night. Our high guy,
Rusty Shlink, made the trip down. Not Ohio anymore. That's right. Michigan. Back to the
Jackson assassin, but Rusty and his son went down there for the weekend and Rusty ended up winning
$7,000 on Saturday. Got second on Friday. So you had a good run, broke the track record Friday,
then broke it again on Saturday and qualifying. Carter got, I think, 10th and 12th. The Florence
Spring 50 was an action on Saturday. 10,000 win and 1,000 start. There's one of those shows,
you know, Justin Ratliff got the win after starting what, like 14th or something? Yeah,
14th and Marlar started 16th. Yeah, got second. And Rod Connelly, third, Josh Rice on hand,
Devin Gilpin. Well, Josh Rice was leading and got over Ratliff, got him. But then like last lap,
he is still running second, trying to run him down and got brushed up against the wall and turned
two and got two guys past him. That's how tight it was. Marlar and Connelly got him.
But local guy, semi local guy, regular at Attica, right? Markham made the trip down,
finished 14, 35 cars on hand. So it was 1,000 to start. Yeah, 10,000 to win. 1,000 to start. See,
that's that's the type of shows. Like I said, if you're a guy like Jake Tim or somebody, well,
like Mark and Mike and Cameron Marlar went, you know, and some guys, I mean, that's a damn good
paying show. And then the Bama Bash was going on at Talladega. The 22nd. Was that Sunday? Yeah,
Sunday. I was gonna say, excuse me, because Bobby Pierce was there. I was there. There's a lot of
people there. Davenport. Hudson O'Neill got the win in the rumbly six. Yeah. Sam Seawright second,
Ryan Gustin third. But yeah, Bobby Pierce, Taylor Herb, Jonathan Davenport, Dale McDowell, Tim McCready.
Lots of good cars on hand for that one. 48 cars total. So good show there as well.
Yeah. It's a Cherokee was the other one. That was $20,000 to win. Chris Madden got the victory there
on Saturday. Rain Shorten, I believe a 60 lap race that got through like lap 41 before the
rains came and ended up canceling the rest of the show. So yeah, Chris Madden, who had a little bit
of a rough weekend the weekend before with Brandon Overton and Dennis Herb Jr. that whole accident.
But yeah, that was nasty. Yeah, everyone walked away, which was good. But that was a big hit for
Brandon Overton. Yes, it was. Yeah, Brandon won at MoDoc. Yeah. The other night over Cody,
Overton, go figure. Wonder how dinner is at that house. Anyway, that's some of the Tanner English
one at Duck River. Yeah. Weekend before is six or 8,000. I think it's six or 7,000. Yeah, I did
do that in the family owned equipment. Yes. First race back. So yeah, that's hit or miss on some
of the regional stuff. Well, and Mike Norris won at Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh. I'm sorry. Pittsburgh
had a sprint car race Saturday. Fast sprint cars and the super late models. Only 21, 22 sprint cars
and 21 late models, I believe. But yeah, Michael Norris won the late models and AJ Flick, the
sprint cars that Central Pennsylvania got in the first two Central Pennsylvania shows.
Yeah. Danny Dietrich won at Port Royal and Lance DeWise won at Williams Grove. Yeah. On Sunday.
Yes. Sunday afternoon, the opener. It was like a, what, 117th win there or something,
I think I saw. I won a few years ago on a Sunday afternoon opener there and Lance DeWise won.
Yeah. I think it was his 110th. Yeah. So any other news or stuff I'm missing? I'm sure there is
Jacob Denny's on fire in power. I won two again. Let's weekend Jacob. I think they've
raced five times now and he's won four of five. Zach Dom's only want to beat him.
What else? Oh, sprint cars have been pretty quiet because their seasons have started. Yeah.
What about Casey Jeterzak, dude? I saw his fast time the other night. He's been in
four or five dashes now and Bryce Lucius almost won the one gravel one.
We talked about that last week. Yeah. Yeah. Because he could have, should have had a one maybe.
Yeah. But Bryce has been running decent with Casey Jeterzak and Bill Rosecar. I mean,
it's kind of funny because, you know, people are like, who, Casey, what, this, you know, and
and Bill Rosecar, they're looking really good out of the box. I mean,
yeah, it's about the best it's cars looked at. Oh, that's the best cars ever looked, I think,
to be honest. I mean, how many times has been in the dash? I mean, they've been in the dash at
least four or five times already this year. Yeah. One top 10 finish. I know. Yeah. So
good was them. Yeah. Putting together good, good runs for sure.
I don't know. What else to talk about doing anything? Well,
attic is gonna try again this weekend. Let's see what happens. I guess I forgot to mention
that Attica was supposed to race Saturday. Supposed to race Friday postponed Saturday. Then
still pulled the plug on Saturday. Yeah. They had snow on the ground yet on Friday morning.
Well, Thursday, Wednesday morning they did. Yeah. Then they opened the track up and it just
didn't dry. Yeah. So instead of trying to rain to yeah, sort of trying to because we had some
decent weather days, but they got rain on Wednesday or snow on Wednesday morning rain Wednesday night
and yeah, I just could not get the track to come back around. So
doing the smart thing in my opinion, instead of worrying about rutting up and tearing cars up,
just live to fight another day kind of. So for sure. And this weekend isn't looking good either.
We got lows in the high twenties, both Friday and Saturday night. So
don't know what what we'll end up with, but definitely not looking great
for dirt racing here still. Like we said, we'll have seven degrees on Thursday, but with storms
Thursday night. Yes. And I think those storms are supposed to be a little heavier, more intense over
that way. Thursday night. So yeah, I mean, if that didn't hit, maybe they could do a Friday
or a Saturday afternoon type thing. I don't think it's going to happen either night if you're
going to try night. Yeah, because since Friday or Saturday, Sunday was decent, but then the
temperatures dropped. Yeah. And it hasn't been super windy like it was weeks before. So hard to
dry out our grounds like that. I mean, Lucas oil is in our region with Brownstown Saturday now and
Atomic Sunday. See what happens there. Yeah. My parents are out in Pennsylvania this weekend,
going to want to go to Williams Grove and Port Royal. But again, whether out there isn't looking
for a chance because they do the afternoon still. Williams Grove Friday night, probably not. Yeah.
But we will see.
Was trying to think Trevor Feathers, I believe one at Port Royal with Danny Dietrich had
Saturday and Eckert 18 late models. I was going to say that's right. I did. I watched the
Feathers one that on the afternoon. Yeah, track got slipper glossy and everything on them. So,
but a couple of bad wrecks there too. Dylan, Cisney and his new ride. I didn't see that.
I saw a different one. I can't remember. Yeah. Who's the other one was a name I wasn't familiar
with. Cisney, the mayor bought one about landed on his house. Landed on town square.
Got flipped out of the ballpark to his house. His house is only like a block from the track. And
he was not a good way of starting your ride. No, not fun. Well, I guess we'll wrap it up then,
since, uh, believe it or not, we have nothing left to say. I can't think of a
payment racing in Ohio this weekend. Shady bowl on Sunday afternoon. If you're looking for something,
cabin fever, race, always big show. That's for, I plan on being Sunday afternoon.
Super cross in Detroit. Saturday, Saturday. Right on. I'm doing nothing. Save money. That's
what I'm going to do. How about that? That doesn't surprise anybody. You're doing nothing,
Elliot. Got a lot of race cars to pay for this year. Yeah. You got to get your guys racing. Yeah.
Well, hey, it's not my fault. Blame mother nature. It's always the car owner's fault.
Always. Anyway, that'll do it for us. Appreciate your patience waiting a day. Sorry for everyone.
Yeah, it's my fault this time. Angrily texting Dwayne, but feel free to continue
angrily messaging Dwayne. I had a couple people want to know, so why don't we have live call
them in? We want to tell Elliot. This time is my fault. It's a big deal. It's usually Elliot's fault.
We don't get paid to do it. So sorry, folks. We don't. Son of a bitch. You get a glass of
water when you come over. That's true. But I didn't get the, oh, I'm the best husband ever.
You got the best husband ever. I knew you wanted me, Elliot. I knew it. Yeah. Hey,
it's our 50th birthday, so I got to try to step up my game somehow. That's right. Anyway,
thank you all for listening. Thank you for tuning in. We appreciate each and every week.
Not next week, but the week after. We'll be back. So until then, stay dirty. We'll be back. Bye-bye. There it is.
About this episode
Dirt Nerds Podcast swings from off-track life to a packed slate of dirt-racing updates, starting with a late recording due to birthday plans and a surprise Star Wars night at a Toledo hockey game. The big highlight is Dwayne’s trip to Perrigan Speedway for non-wing sprints and No Way Out 40, praising major facility upgrades, racy racing, and a $10k win by Jake Swanson—while also discussing multiple flips and safety/track-condition debates. The hosts then cover outlaw sprint/late model results, regional late model action, and ongoing weather impacts, plus sad news from the WoO involving officials Billy Hurt and Jerry Myers, with the Outlaws reportedly stepping up on expenses.
This week we talk about the sad news out of Texas at a World of Outlaws Event where a race official sadly lost his life and another injured. We also talk about Duane's trip to Paragon Speedway for the No Way Out 40 and more!
