Rob, it's good to have you back. You've obviously been very sick
over the over the last little bit.
I'm like, what we won't delve too far into it but you've, you know, it's been it's been a it's been chaos and I say man it hasn't helped me back, I bought another car.
Okay well we'll get to that very very shortly but yeah, it's good to have you back. Good to good to see you.
You're getting better and and and and that's that's the main thing is Every day. Holly how you doing?
Yeah, not too bad. It's gonna work that pretty much
every day's the same, pretty much Patrick.
How you doing, man? Usually member of our Sunday
show. He's on the Tuesday show.
How are you doing bud? Yeah, I'm doing good.
Just same. As same as Holly.
Now, I'm back at work. Just every day.
Slaving away as an apprentice does so I can't complain when I always good. Yeah, that's good.
Good good. Good to hear.
You're feeling a lot better than last week as well.
My friend, thanks. Rizzy Ross, how you doing my
friend, what's happening? Yeah, gonna ride.
Just usual usual, spotted, a couple of things earlier in the week at the Neeson's new head office.
I think I saw one of the rarest cars that people can purchase brand new at the moment which some say, maybe three years before you get one. But I saw one in person today.
So I'll fill those details in with the crew, but apart from that. Yeah, going well many thanks.
Very good. And you, Scotty, what's
happening with You man all doing well, doing well here.
Just dodging Corona at school. Pretty much.
Yeah. Likewise trying to like dodging
waiver cases popping up here and there a couple of my class, but I'm still doing well, well, we'll get to Rob and, and how is updates, because they've obviously said the purchase another car. We'll get, we'll start with you
guys, Holly and Rob, what's happening in your car Welch?
Well, because I got plenty of time on my hands.
What are you? Master kite, God's house
Gumtree. Look at cars obviously had on a
3.5, L was a great 300 SEL and I was told the guy look, I'll come
and see it, but Harley wasn't home.
You went away for the city for the weekend.
I said I'll come and see the Monday.
Believe it or not. This was some day by Monday.
It was sold. No.
Well, I me without even looking at seventeen, thousand dollars for a free am, sorry, the 300 SEL, but in need of the paint job and all that stuff, but the car was completely Pleat, it was all there. So, missed out on that one, you
know, I really wouldn't want one of mine in a V8 in the old kitchen, and up the old school. Mercedes.
Anyway, I was just looking at the marketplace and this 1972 w108 come up is pretty rough-looking on the photos and sure enough, a rough when I saw it.
The guy wanted four and a half thousand four and offering three. And he said your friend half and
you can have it. All right?
I'll take it. His remorse really out of this
one, is the engine needs work on it.
It's not running the heads have been redone but it's not on the cart that it's been taken off and it's got a bit of rust, so no hail damage like the baron work, but it's got a bit of rust. So yeah, we sort of so of
couldn't because of my condition.
I couldn't really do much. I even has even exhaust to try
to put on the trailer. So luckily make came along.
Help me load it up and take it home.
And I've got a mate on the Aberdeen to help me unload it because I thought if I was I'm young and I couldn't have done it at the time. That was only three weeks ago
and a half weeks. Two and a half weeks ago, but
I've improved dramatically over the last two or three weeks, so you should be able to put car on a trailer now, which is good.
Anyway, it's a good, it's good on that.
That's my ha. So much signs of recovery is by
actually, seeing what I can do on my cars for roof racks on the, on my you tick, put the car on trailer to you.
So it's good and In between all of this, we took delivery of our little Tessie, which is our Tesla.
We call the name to Tessie. Hey, we've already saved about
150 dollars in fuel in the last two and a half three weeks.
It tells us how much we are saving every day on the Victorian average cost of fuel in Victoria and how much it cost us to charge it senses about having we spent about $70 charging it over 3 million. Not even that only 45 the last
three weeks we've been we've been under a couple times the city July And back that's Martian back.
So we've been using it, so it's fun to drive.
I don't the novelty has worn off with the how fast it takes off.
So we're enjoying that, so that's good fun.
But everyone seems to want to cut in front of you.
I was going to ask for is that people try to cut you off all the time and driving a Tesla? Or is it just just maybe us so I
don't know. But there was one.
It is clean your room behind. You always want to pull in front
of you. You know, look what can I say if
you head towards Pandora Ha that's down.
It doesn't matter. What car you driving so, you
know, I used to be the same. I used to go to UNI up there.
Now, use the driver died had to Siri or not 3 cylinder, 1 liter thing people be doing the same thing.
So you know I think that that's that's just the warm warm Hospitality of people up North. So it could just be that but
maybe because sometimes I don't know, but People just yeah, people are funny. Like people are funny when they
see those type of. It depends on the car, like no
offense, but I see Commodore and Falcon drivers in the first week of owning mind. I think a Commodore Drive and it
took me out on a date. It's, it's just I try and avoid
yeah. Commodore or Falcon drivers.
No offense to marry Jay, you know, I'm saying he's obviously got the metal. Performance vehicle.
But yeah, yeah, I think it's will just get used to it.
I think so. So yeah, so between that and my
daughter's Reynold blowing an ECU.
Yeah, so, seven years. So the year and a half out of
warranty and ECU just the basically stopped, but the whole car just shut down. Well, wouldn't start one do
anything. The worst thing is with a rental
is you try? Clicking it out of park into
neutral to forget it on and off a tow-truck.
You try finding that little button somewhere down the bottom of the gear shift. What a night.
What a nightmare. I actually my daughter actually
found that I said it's down there somewhere.
It says it mangled, stay on there somewhere but I couldn't find it. Anyway, she clicked it and we
finally got it off the truck and put to the side of the curb.
Then it was the dealership wouldn't put in a suppose, a warranty claim even though I was out of warranty with Reynolds Australia who have they are Tikka.
I don't know if they're still dirty go, I'd still comply can plan it that because because quite frankly, the Weren't you in a vehicle, you know there's consumer warranty and then there's like, you know, like it's like it.
How long should it last? It should last longer than ten
years before I completely. So I would I would seriously
take that up with him. I would complain.
I would. Wow, that's a powerful went
down. So it's a rental, just asking
the question. I said, you know, this is what,
you know, we've always serves it with rental, you know, we've been, you know, pretty loyal to rental in the in that part of it and they said, look go back to the dealer get to deal with, putting the claim will review it there.
Reviewed it and they approved the part but they didn't approve the labor. Mmm.
So the thing is, I didn't want to argue the four hundred dollars in labor to pull out the old ECU and put in the UN and adjust, you know what? The part was like $1200 for an
ECU apparently or that part of the ECU.
Yeah, so they're going to replace it but there's a two to four week way. But ECU, so your daughter's
driving my car. Anyway, that's our car stories.
There you go. So how do you feel Now that
you've joined the 30s in the the elite company that he is Robin is the daily. Yeah, it's got just like it just
blows a lot of cast of the weeds off anything off the lights, even like 60 kilometers an hour to an 80s and you're cruising along you just bang punch it and it's gone.
And that's just a normal rear-wheel-drive stock model.
I hate you. Imagine, you know, the
performance model or a long-range models?
Well, yeah. And it made me feel sick and
what's R is is that the performance of long-range the performance and Maddie's also had the pleasure of being in my standard range as well. Okay, so just just quickly on
the standard Range model. When did you take delivery of
yours Holly few weeks ago? Okay, so now Maddie, this is a
little bit of insiders news. Okay, wait.
So what we need to have like, a Like a little bit of a jingle for, you know, breaking news is Carter breaking news.
So the standard range that I've got is half a second faster than the new rear wheel drives. So that's the that's the 5.6
second one, but they all feel pretty quick.
Yeah, we're the new ones I think are coming outfits.
The motor is a little bit different.
They change Motors. Late last year and the Battery
Technology to unbelief. Sorry, and the back technology
as well. Yeah, the Battery Technology is
slightly different as well. But I think we have the same
battery pack which is the lithium phosphate ion battery pack that you can charge up to 100% in the standard range.
That was delivered to Australia or the rear wheel drive but the new ones up. Yeah.
They're still very quick because the I guess the talk is relatively instant. What color did you guys get?
It or why just right? Yeah, awesome.
Awesome. We'll have to have to do a bit
of a bit of a meet-up in the next, you know, all of us, everyone. You know, we're going to have
Subarus, we're going to have Masters.
We're going to have, I don't know, ltd's of the world, you know I'm saying, we gotta have Tesla's, it should be and of course, Honda's when David David makes it, we're gonna try.
Do a bit of a get-together? Absolutely.
Absolutely, no. I like it.
I like it. Robin Holly are going to, it's
definitely, I mean, it's the future, it's happening.
So, so very, very good. Patrick for pretty much saw.
I wish this fucking say something to bring exciting, but unfortunately not still the same.
Mars is still going strong. Still in the market that I am
still looking for a secondary car.
So, I'm just looking around. I see, actually I saw her arm.
On the topic of old mercs or sorry.
I 300 SE sorry to say a pop-up, The Coop and good condition.
It was nice, clean had nothing like a little, like mushrooms way of real fake bucket AMG exhaust on it like fear little Factory. Interior was clean, leather was
nice and tired. I was looking at it.
I was considering it but the only came in automatic as far as I'm concerned and I mean, most smirks anyway, came or do besides, you know, Ultimate rare My Favorite Dream, you're a car, the 190 Cosworth, as we know is a legend it in its own.
So I saw that I was very intriguing came up for a good price as well reasonable price. But, you know, I'm still very
content on my getting is chassis.
I feel you guys have reached out to me for Rolling shells.
So S15 rolling shell Maddie. We're not talking 50 Grand bomb.
Oh, I know really surprised. Zhang Li are one guy.
Offered me 4999 4999. Yeah, often me 16, okay, 16
Grand. So how the interior on it and so
I clean tags, no rust and everything.
The only thing about put me off off it was a had a body like wine and fenders and he's already cut the guards and obviously I'm an oem type of guy just kept a car or we M as it is. So that's a pull out otherwise
it would have been a great speculate with aspect guy had the sunroof Lich. All I have to do it.
Put an engine in box package I'm set, but it's all right.
You know, I'm just, I'm still looking down a little while ago, if we look back on the couple months ago on the show.
One day, I cover the week as I showed you was the turbo Pulsar?
Yeah, we won. Yeah, that's popped up for sale
again. But he's pumped it up the price,
which is kind of stupid, because as if I remember, I think it was six grand when it was first for sale.
I think I was asking an 11 or 12 grand for it.
It. That's a bit, Rich.
Yeah. And I'm not going to spend that
much money on a n ASR with the turbo slapped on it with running on high comp, you know, that things are grenade.
It's worse than a 3-liter Patrol, it's going to go any second. So just got to stay away from
that bar because I'm still looking even looking at skylines looking at Old stories as well. The Amelia models those ones
live there, free up my cup of tea.
And as well, I just figured out I was looking at importing as well as looking at our Prestige Moto Motorsport mission of you heard of a look. I'll also send them an email a
couple days ago regarding a Spec s because they're much cheaper to import the S15 and apparently Sylvia skylines even GTRs Supras which other ones and some Honda's under the new steps game or whatever. They're not importing them
anymore or the dot temporarily. So I'm not sure what safe.
Even if you any of you guys know or I think Patrick, all I know is that there's of there's a man in the industry when it comes to importing. It's Scottish chefs import.
If you're not talking to Scotty Chef you don't know what you're dealing with. You know, I'm saying he's all
across the importing business. He's all in it.
Any vehicle you want? If you don't want the
high-performance one, he will import the Zen Edition.
Yeah. Untreated.
So just talk to talk to Scotty shifts in post, managing director, Scotty do himself. Scotty, what's happening?
Have you heard about this new importing of stopping to bring skylines? Etc.
What's going on? Now, that's not that I've heard
of I think a lot of companies just don't want to bring them in there because they're just they're far too expensive, things that are left that are popping up in auction at just trash. Pretty much they wouldn't really
get complied. You'd have to do too much for us
to the things like that, so, It's kind of dropping off for the 90s because it's all that's kind of left.
And even if it is trashy, Americans are jumping on it and buying them. And then we got our compliance
here at the moment, which can take months, and months before, it can even get complied because of the whole Crackdown that the government's doing at the moment.
So I think it's too much too much of a head of a headache.
When it comes to the 90s cars at the moment importing, those kind of Cause--'cause. Yeah, that's just not many
around. And if there is in Japan,
they're usually pretty beat up or they're like showroom condition with super duper low. Ches, that's all that's popping
up. Now, just a question around out,
do they have to produce a clearance report that having no asbestos and, and so on before they import them, like they do, if some of the early American cars from the 70s and 80s, I think depending on the Year. Yes.
If it is Old 70s or something. Yes, okay, yeah, that's it.
That's it. Still have super duper
expensive. Mmm-hmm, what's this space?
Scotty but also Patrick. If you didn't know, it's the
rules, you have to buy an R 31. So at this point, I'm very
tempted to there's a fib has been popping up and I'm just I'm like you know what, you know, do I do a way this is a this is So this is my mindset, I realize with you right now, everyone I'm going to come clean on the air. This is my mindset right now.
It's do I beat and I need you. I need.
Everyone's honest opinion, you're all much more older, more mature than me. I'm only a 20 year on 21 year
old people later. So, everything I say and do is
stupid, so you guys are the wise ones.
So do I be patient? Do I'd be wise, wait, a couple
more months and possibly by, you know, and I can.
So I can say in a few, if I am Being patient.
I can say, in good, few months, I can have it as 13 or 180.
A sex in my position, you know, obviously it's not a ness15 but it's still like my second. Favorite s chassis today or do I
listen to Scotty and just buy a dad y31 Skyline.
I love the step up there, popping up ever on Marketplace and on Gumtree as well. Like a I'm a a couple two weeks
ago or three weeks ago on the show.
I said those are one popped up on Gumtree for 3 Grand and manual 31 with s13. And ends on and everything
necessary engine which is shape. As we all know the price of
going up. Especially 31's people asking
stupid money. So probably in a blown-out be 30
but you know, three grand 31 manuals there.
So what do I do? Do I be patient and I like get
you know the dream or do I just be stupid and don't you like these? I would be patient and just get
the best s chassis can get and I would probably say go for a while. 180 over just a, just a Sylvia in specially in that
spec. If you can get like I do, you
will be able to Type X or any because they're, they just stupid prices these days. But if you can get like, if you
can get one of those and, you know, they still look good.
They still drive well, and just keep it neat and respectable.
Yeah, but if you can wait, you can wait it out.
And you can, then you can afford one.
Absolutely, if you're desperate and like, you just need to buy go for the 31. However, I because you've always
been an sjsu boy, I think you'll get to the point where like crap, I should have waited and got this fancy Yeah, and especially if you just went out and bought it, you're going to come across and go and the perfect as chassis would pop up.
But now you can't buy it because you're 31 always happens, that always happens, you know, you buy something a jump on something and then doesn't matter.
You can always sell it. Get both.
I don't think that, I don't think Mom will prove, you know, have been like, I'm keeping them.
That is an investment. That's it.
My mom wouldn't be happy like she's already with a.
She's already going to be pushing enough me having two cars at home. So having a third one, you know,
and then possibly a motorbike soon very shortly and, you know, I'm already stepping on your toes at the moment.
So as you got nothing to be worried about.
You should see my house. That's the drain.
That's what is vitally? Yeah.
Nah, that's that's the current current plan.
So I'm still looking and pretty much my mind as well.
My mind's is, you know, I'll Go for a bargain as well if I see a good bargain and you know, even if I don't keep the car, you're not long-term but something short of been I can make money on it. You know, definitely will pick
it up if I need to do a bit of TLC and then flip it definitely do that. So yeah, if you are 30 want,
I'll take the parts of your house tripping.
Speaking of 31, Scotty updates with you.
I haven't done anything since last week bit slow on the cast of the only Custer. I guess I've done is just play
Gran Turismo. The new one on the PS5, that's
about its closest I've gotten. Is that any good?
Yeah, it's pretty awesome. Yeah, I want me knowing it.
Pokes, my brother's doing a 5 and I kept telling him, let's buy this, but I want to play a apparently the detail 12th paint. Like, even like the paint like
detailed toys like phenomenal. So, you know, even just your
reflection and that and the light shining off chrome parts and stuff like that. So just yeah.
Awesome. There is zero, so sorry.
Sorry. Is that more fun actually
building the cow actually racing him you know like getting it all set up and all that and having the nice body kits on them and everything else. But then you can you know like
is that you have to get points to get to that point or do you can you just say it's like cracks and stuff?
Okay, it's okay. But yeah, you can race on the
build your life. Okay.
Yeah. And you can you can still modify
and everything there's heaps of detail when it comes to that, you know, you can buy steering angle.
Kits and stuff for real in this version.
So let's few extra bits and pieces.
You can do, you can adjust anything and everything.
Did you see boiling away? Yeah.
Yeah. Zero start with you and we'll
also get into what you were saying earlier.
So on the car's front Insurance, the insurance is up for the performance. And you have that a year
already? No, I haven't.
Because I took the insurance over from from the Cerrado.
Okay. It's sort of, it's just the way
it worked out and I was trying to get it.
I've had it since September anyway.
I was with our CV and racv send me an updated sort of I guess I renewal notice and it had gone up to about twenty seven hundred dollars a year. Well it's come from 2400, this
is for the performance, right? Eat and V's are generally
expensive. I think even a rear-wheel-drive
that Holly and Rob will have thats that's it.
I think, with about a thousand dollar excess, you're still paying between 1,200 to 1,500 bucks.
That's sort of sounds about, right?
He has about 30 1299 with 700 Alexis.
Okay. Yeah, perfect.
So that so anyway, they're generally expensive, so it's gone up, maybe because that they figured out where I live, and they know that it, unless you're carrying a strap on you, it's going to be a bit tough. Tough to protect yourself and
you're gonna wreck yourself anyway.
So having said that then I was like, well, you know, it's gone up to 27 and the box I'm gonna get a couple of other quotes.
This, this companies that won't even ensure the performance, really? Yep, there's I think Amy doesn't
do it. A couple of others, don't do it
and then I looked up come come back.
They seem to ensure Anything and everything but cover you for nothing so I went I had to look at them $4200 so basically I ended up just accepting whatever.
I see we gave me and too big to be to give racv the credit.
I did a new sort of quote from them as well and what they gave me in that quote was the same as what they're charging me, okay?
So, give or take, but yes, Insurance on.
Electric cars is expensive at the moment, but, yeah.
Apart from that, I think that's been the main sort of hassle.
But apart from that, I guess the fact that not really paying anything for fuel at the moment that sort of covers covers that element to its word certain degree.
I filled up the Cerrado the other day, and it's only got a 40 to 1 litre tank. And that was like, you know,
nearly 90 bucks. And I'm sure others with
performance Vehicles, even in Zen Mo that are using 98 octane as just the base level fuel, you know, I'm saying our 31.
So Patrick, if you're thinking of getting an R 31 my man I think you need to apply for a loan application today with Commonwealth Bank because the fuel that you will need will be the premium grade. Basically, it's like premium
grade uranium, so it's gonna need that top Add stuff, Scotty don't knows it, Brew your own it and all you may see as Rob said, but no apart from that. The cause of all been all been
okay. I have seen a couple of
interesting cars including the Newbie.
I said at a dealership in Frankston the other day, went to see a friend of mine and they had one parent who sold out for at least six months, I saw on his MO our 35 race car yesterday at the missing headquarters, just around the corner from where I, where it will soon be ending up in Scottie dogs, garage or the organize, the Transport company, they'll generally operate after hours, they'll be making that happen
and today where I'm based the motor magazine is In themselves there for a little bit now at my office and the two weeks ago, they had a McLaren 720's. They've got the high end.
I I would uh sorry Kona in which obviously Avid listeners are the show know how I feel about the in addition cars.
So every time I step outside, I look at it, it looks back, I walk away because I don't want any trouble, you know I'm saying. And then today, one of the
journalists boys said that are, we've got the new Kia, a V6 GT line outside. If you want to go have a look
and he's like, well, you know, he's like we're riding a pretty big story on and once we're done then, you know, will feel free to take it for a test drive around around the streets in mulgrave. And I said, yeah, I'll check
that out. But looks very, very, it's
bigger than I thought it would be.
Mmm, it's pretty much I think. It's it's longer than the Kona.
And and this one had like a matte grey paint or a wrap on it as a, I guess these are press cars.
So, it must be a color you can order.
One of the macray are seeing a few like the overseas, they'll make grave. Yep.
Yep. See, you know when I saw this
kimchi spec electric vehicle today, I really thought that, you know, once once I get once we get get behind the wheel, let Let the crew know. But apart from that, it's still
good to see one. But apparently if you order one
you can't get fun till 2025. Are you serious?
That's what they're saying. The sold next 2 years worth of a
lot meant either, you're not even they're not trying to bring anything here. That's not like I don't like
bugs 2025. The new models coming out or
something else would be completed from God.
Hmm. So that's what's going on and I
guess the other big news is last week or so Tesla prices, even the base models gone up a bit, they're talking about raw materials for batteries and that's that's a problem that all manufacturers will have over the coming years as they try and live up to their Promises of electrifying everything.
Yeah. Because nobody has long-term
Supply. Tracks with raw, material and
mineral companies, apart from Tesla and some of the bigger suppliers of batteries to Tesla. So that's going to be an
interesting thing to see. So yeah, car prices going up
everywhere. It's not just my main man,
Patrick seeing the prices Skyrocket.
You know, obviously Patrick, if you need something imported, Scotty, Chef Imports or give me a Halal, get the Yakuza onto it and Japan, I'll keep that in mind.
Well, that's good, man. Now, I was like, I was seeing
things at the read about different, but different TVs, and people like all the, you know, some some journals are like, the, you know, the resale is going to be trash on them.
I find that hard to believe. I really find that hard to
believe especially with the current market.
So we'll have to wait. And then you my boss has got the
new pole star today, I went in it.
No, yeah, yeah, they got it. To murder one.
Yeah, but like it's it's not a good Tesla.
Yeah, yeah. Friday $1000.
Yeah, the states that the seat adjustment back afford, still manual, wind up. Yeah, I've driven both of them,
the single motor yet around Albert Park in December and then a couple of weeks ago at dawn Kosta, the new dual motor one.
And yeah I and the motors themselves they have a bit of a wind Web. So when you're driving, you hear
them a lot more. The only time I hear that sort
of a line out of the performance model is when you really putting your foot down is like getting to 103.2 seconds.
Yeah. But that's only like that's like
a jet sort of noise rather than the what you hear out of the pole star doing 40 kilometers an hour around Albert Park.
So it's yeah but I guess there's a market for that car.
There's a lot of people that are interested in it.
They've spent millions of dollars marketing and building that pollster only brand train Australia recently.
I think even the guys I work with like one of the he wants to buy me a TV for his wife, and he kind of just likes it because it looks like a car. At that, that's anything that I
saw him over there to see more, the normal traditional car is I like to look more car like the turtles color.
Like anyway, like he doesn't like, he doesn't like the card has a grill, but I think I like he's just one of those people, but this is the, I think one thing that's sort of missing at the moment is in China, before the recent price increases the pollsters about the single motor is around forty five thousand dollar car. Equivalent AUD here.
The same car is coming into the country at 65,000 dollars, so it's the same car, it's just the transport costs and other things. And like I said, pulsed, I think
has spent millions of dollars building this marketing campaign. The product in all honesty is
not as good as the end. It's inefficient compared to
like Tesla's are very efficient out of what they get in terms of range out of the Fifty five kilowatt hour battery.
So that's going to be and then I heard the other day you know, GM the Revolutionary electric truck.
The hammer has a 200 kilowatt-hour battery pack.
It weighs 9,000 pounds four and a half a ton.
It's it's just insane and it gets like three hundred and something miles of range. Yeah, out of a two hundred
kilowatt hour battery pack a model.
S plaid I think or more or less is I think equivalent.
I know it's a different type of car but they get more range out of 100 kilowatts because it's going to be charging time, the cost to fuel up all of that stuff will add on.
And yeah, that's if the more batteries, how they're going to get the battery supply, to put twice as many batteries into a truck. When there's everyone's
competing with the same batteries in a couple of years time, so interesting times. Speaking of trucks, you know, I
saw the other day, I'll put it off putting a chart.
I saw the new Ford Bronco driving in the opposite direction to the truth. And I was like, mm Bronco and it
was in it was in like that the yellow.
He like that yellowy color and like a Holly and what would be the guys tonight for this is that car officially coming to Charlotte will have. They said no they said no but
you know he has before words they they like eventually it might come with the Mustang, they bought it out.
Depends, it depends who's managing forward at the point, you know, if you got a good manager in place like a are they like being and then other people like they had this Woman in charge for a while, she just had no idea, you know, right into the ground. Come in my name because it's
running for state for a bit, then I move to the side of that.
Somebody else in that, they had no clue like a lot of people.
What people want that like, like even now they bring in the six on the rack that went back to have been from the start.
Yeah. Hey, are you the force on the
EcoBoost in the Raptor? The petzl would have been
Americans got, would have been better than the because I gave you. Yeah, I think that's why we need
me. A DJ as for Australia, CEO?
Absolutely. As my first step of this new
role, I would like to appoint somebody do as head of importing because because he's very good at that.
I would like to appoint 20's as head of marketing and EV Department, people, and culture actually depends, we will bring the new n addition. That's actually it.
Quickly forward reminds me of something.
The the Tesla's model lineup was going to be the model.
S the model X, the model Y and the model 3 was actually going to be called Model E. Mmm.
So call it sexy but it didn't happen because Ford had already trademarked the Marquis is that the reason it didn't happen.
Apparently, that is the reason why they had to change the e to the 3. So just just a bit, you know,
for it's still pushing ahead, they're creating products.
We need the right sort of imports to bring him into the country and obviously as the head of people and culture I want to bring some darker colors in there as well but it is true that I heard my guy working. He spring works for Ford.
You're already working on the new ranger.
Yeah. It before even before this, this
one has even come yet. They're already doing the new
one. Yeah.
He's already. Fuck you.
Probably like it's a prototype device like he's working the everything, the headlights everything.
Yeah, it's already basically. They're so sorry.
Reefs. Are you suggesting that if you
were become ahead of you know, place a chair and everything you're going to go back to what Henry, Ford said you can have any color as long as it's black. That's right, black on black but
I know what happens, you know what they say?
Once you go black, you don't go back and if you try to go back you end up like Michael Jackson. I love it element.
Anyway, you guys moving on from Providence from supporting roles and things into into tonight's topic which is interesting Motorsport. Yeah, like Motors were there not
even know exist. So almost bought that we
actually the way she kind of kind of like in them and it's kind of interesting Motorsport in particular is I like I mean personally I find you know as we mentioned last week really really enjoyable. But Motorsport in different
terms in different places, can mean different things.
There can be as I found out through my extensive research, lawnmower racing is massive. I didn't I didn't realize how
big it is. It's huge God, if you've got
like a whole, like an old Honda like, right on a something we can, we can we can we can make it had VTech and then and I think I'll sing some of that racing on.
So I got KO Sports. So sometimes pops up, I love
her, I love her. Like it's an official sport now.
It's actually a thing I find that just Duty aside, it's so good but what type of interesting motifs would have you guys seen like all interesting Motorsport series and and what would you and you know, what would you actually sit down? And be like I should just kind
of cool to watch. Well for me art.
I love watching Becca. Yeah, that sounds great.
And you've got the quads, you got the motorcycles, you've got the tracks, you've got the Eevee's now, you've got the alternative fuel vehicles. You've got the old June.
Buggies. Then you've got all your
production build cars as well. And now, they've even got all
the old classics coming back into the racing.
That's called a dirty old Porsches, the old, Peugeot shows. And so on the citroen's and a
hold of other cars right throughout.
So, I quite liked watching that and that's the way they put it together every year. Just it's brilliant.
It's like a form production in the way they present the Daiquiri year. So to me, that's brilliant, my
love, watching that. Yeah.
Was be found at Dhaka. Actually, when I think well,
yeah, well, when I was in Adelaide, I went to the bird would motor museum and they had the Aussie Rider who was really, really good at that guy who passed away on the Dakar?
Yeah, Eddie that is bike and I had his uniform and and he's racing student. They it's a bloody hard raised a
duck. I like it's probably one of most
grueling races I've ever seen. It's nuts.
You got to be nuts to do it. Lutely absolutely nuts.
Yeah, but it says just the terrain and some of the scenery is just fantastic. I used to love watching when
they used to have the original Dakar and even when they're in South America, when they raced along the ocean, along the beach that everyone just takes off together.
It's just fantastic to see it and they're all doing wheelies down the beach and whatnot, and that's awesome.
Another good. One died of you guys have seen
is like Dodge vans racing in Japan.
Have you. Like for some reason, they
absolutely love Dodge vans, I still don't know why in Japan like I mean I mean the Japanese are pretty crazy when it comes to cars and just crazy with their funky.
Weird way of looking at things and don't you bond.
Is dodgy, Dodge vans, essentially racing and drifting at like different circuits. All through all, through Japan
at ebisu and I find that I find that nuts.
Like, like like that's just the The fact that actually exists is is is even more cooler than than the lawnmower racing.
But if you watch them, they feel modifying slam them.
Put them on massive wheels and tires.
Take them sideways, just sit a limiter all day.
It's pretty nuts to watch. Have you guys seen any of that
before? It's, it's hilarious.
Scotty would appreciate it to you because, you know, big with it with it, with, with the Japanese stuff but that's, that's absolutely. Bill it was also Solaris.
Yeah. Seeing some of that was pretty
awesome to watch and just some of the modifications and that they've done to get it sliding and drifting to.
It's a box with wheels, that should be doing that.
It shouldn't be doing it but it, but it, but it, but it, but it doesn't. I want you Patrick, what are
some interesting forms of Motorsport.
There that you're right, that you're interested in.
I mean, I mean, I know the standards have done it any other like interesting, you know, bizarre noticeable.
I mean, Once is that interesting?
And I'm not sure if it's still going up, but I have had heard about is in Australia to do. They are posted by crisis, she
like, they get on their little, CT, 90s or one tends, whatever they are and they race them. I think that's pretty hilarious.
And itself, you know, like actual post is racing by Spire besides that. I haven't personally have any
other bizarre Motorsport. If we're, if we're talking in
terms of, you know, she I you know like like batshit Easy.
And like the person is literally insane to do it.
Probably the most scariest type of form of racing.
So I'll probably say the Isle of Man.
Yeah. Lady like the Spades.
They are my it's yeah. That to me.
It's like if they've got a death wish, you know, it's, it's crazy. You just, you just type up old
man, you know, flight just even just flybys and just there for once, not even a second and then gone, you just You hear him before you see him, you know, it's insane and if I was to have experienced, you know, like just not Mom, Bill Russia ride, the bike would just go to the place go there and just see it happen, you know? Because essentially it's
literally writing from the top of the island all the way down.
So, right, well, I, I can say I've done it.
I hired a bike in England and I don't know, Lila Mann myself, right? And it's the best thing you ever
do. But don't wait 20 or 30 years,
like I did. All right, it is absolutely
phenomenal. What's this?
Looks like you've hit 180 miles an hour at the top and ill people asking me. Yeah, all they do is go up there
and race their bikes around there.
Absolute Maniacs. They got signs everywhere about
you know people getting crashed and killed and burnout bikes and people dying at all a man every year these this is the public diet. Yeah.
Not the races, right? The roads crazy.
There's only one section of it would have made it one way and it's going up through the north, basically, the northwest of the, the track for about, I don't know, four or five k.
It's one way up the hill and back down the hill.
And if they close the road off and you can only go up one way and you can go as it's as fast as you want to go far and there's no speed limiter, no speed limit, whatsoever in that section, the road, the other sections of road around all the man you're going through towns and it's traffic and all that sort of stuff. So you're going to obey to speed
limits but outside of that in the back, roads of the, Isle of Man is a whole lot of the restricted zone, so you can go as fast as you want, right? So it is scary.
I had a guy come off in front of me, it's coming out of Selby or gooseneck. It's Degrees naked, one of the
hills, going up the road, this guy crashed in front of me and he's sliding into the air wall, which was a cliff face and there's a flag, Marshall D. Actually, it's like he's seen
this every day. The bike sliding straight
towards, if you just jumps over the motorcycle.
Yeah. And it keeps away with the guys
on and puts the yellow flag out and it was just going around, but I've seen a guy crash in front of me.
So yeah, it is phenomenal. It is something that you got to.
To do. It's like a bucket list thing in
your life. Yeah.
So you know, and there you are at the pub, the pub, they put the fence up the ball over the bollards or whatever you want to call it pretty flimsy in some places.
And here you are going to be our, as a motorbike, go straight, past your face. That's how I feel about.
You are literally within the meter of the motorcycle flying down. Past your while you're having a
beer at the pub. That's insane.
Like to me that just brings back and like, that's like Group B rally, you know, when like the all like an audience is our Part of the track, you know? That's and I didn't know, like,
it's open to the public as well. Like you can actually sign up
and do it and like you don't sign up.
It's between races, everyone's got until 11:00 before they close to track in the morning, to get a good Vantage points to have a look at where they want to see people go over.
There's a little place where there's a little bridge that they jump the bridge. So there are basically in the
air going over the bridge down for the Selby, I think it is.
And yeah, it's just phenomenal. So you get, you've got a couple
hours to get to the parts of the track.
You want to sort of watch the bikes, Go pass, and then you can take some back roads to another vantage point and so on and so on. And then they yeah.
So they have one week of basically practice and one week of racing and will therefore a basically a week and a half, just watching a practice and racing and everyday riding the track. So we get to do two or three
laps every day. So 180 miles an hour.
What was that in kilometers? It's like what three hundred and
years about three hundred and something years.
Today we'll talk about a hundred seven hundred ninety miles an hour on a GS X 1200. Yeah.
And I mean, that's a quick bike like that, that of, yeah.
Oh, yeah. And you and you just passed.
I was getting past, believe it? Or not, now, just what be before
it's getting to that speed or whatever.
But people flying past me, like, I'm standing still and I for I ride pretty well. Been writing for a long time and
we met it was a Tuesday, basically, be drag racer and I'm sort of staying with him and even forever going faster than him. In certain places and their
people passing us. Yeah, so yeah, it's just amazing
to see and do and even electric bikes over there.
They have a suppose around for electric bikes that race.
And you can hear them whizzing past that, you know, at 100 miles an hour, or whatever down of strikes is just a fantastic.
And it's all, you know, concrete rock, walls, trees houses, so yeah, it's pretty good. All right, just when you're
coming off at 180 miles an hour you dumb.
Yeah, it's scary. Yes, scary.
Hey, yeah, we're not. It's good fun.
We are joined by the one early. Allen makes him how you doing.
Good, good time. Sorry for my lateness gentleman.
I'm just glad to be here. You should be sorry, it's just
not good enough. I don't even have a good,
excuse. I think, I think there is a good
excuse, the main man are our in-house.
Doctor has been helping the South Australian, labor party targeted campaign. All about Healthcare and
Healthcare reforms to win against the Liberal Party.
The main man's been hustling her.
Hard across multiple different states and he joins us.
It's an honor to know you. The only remember seeing his
join us. Definitely sounded like the
Canadian Parliament as they do. Have a couple of sing Brothers
representing, thank you, thank you.
Speaking of, I can't even know what was already out, but yes, interesting Motorsports Alum, any interesting Motorsports that have taken? Fancy over the over like the
interesting articles, although being crazy Motorsports, or be different. Because I've obviously been
absent for the earlier part of the show.
Have we talked about Pikes Peak? No, we haven't FlexPay.
Yeah. Because that's, you know, 20
kilometers of high-end high octane like craziness.
Like, you know, I'm not I'm not the biggest kind of motor sports fantasy as we discussed kind of during last week's episode as well, but just something about the hill climb and it's pretty, it's pretty crazy. And I think was last year that
even though there's a motorcyclist ended up dying.
So it's a pretty All around risky risky thing.
What is the? The altitude change?
Well, it's over, eleven thousand eight.
I think, isn't it? So it finishes are 14,000 PSI
star 69 3300 so it's basically 5,000 feet or a kilometer of just climb speaking of that, they've been racing electric cars and electric cars are doing real well because because of the altitude altitude change, there's no issues with the S going in and calling Anna. So Spa yeah.
Last year I think Randy pobst he won in the it was at a plate.
Well as flip I think well yeah my partner or they are the model 3 Performance. I think model 3 Performance was
a previous year and he crashed that one.
Yeah. So he was surprised that they
asked him if he wanted to. Yeah go on.
The the model has played through I think it was unplugged performance. And yeah they won the exhibition
class than that. Be crazy to, to be gone that
hard. Just what?
I think of Pikes Peak. I think are two things.
I think of climb dance. Have you ever seen that like,
the 1988 video Pikes Peak Hill Climb by Ari vatanen?
It's just, it's he's, you know, he's in a Zhong Wan, what it was, but he's flying up, flying up, the hill like it since Terry. It's one of the probably the
most Automotive pornography videos to watch on YouTube.
So if you just if you just look up climb down.
So I'll share it in the shop. A second.
It's sort of Persia for our 5 turbo, 16 there were 69 with four-wheel steering wheel steering.
Absolutely, that's the car and it's just like this before.
Obviously, you've got this is what it was, still a dirt track before he got it. Got, you know deal.
Yeah, that was sick but then the old the other, the second thing I think it was that Mitsubishi Evo.
That's flies off their the corner and rolls and like just just gets ripped apart. And the only thing that left
isn't the cage of you guys seen that video as well.
Yeah. Wow.
Just it's a brutal race because there is almost all right.
It's like a, it's kind of time attack but it's like there is no berries you off. You did like that.
That's there's a say that's essentially what that is.
It's it's it's crazy, you know? Yeah, I'm seal it because I
thought it'd be safer but I think there's more crashes now with the road being sealed and what it was when it was dirt because true that's true because because you know they're going faster faster. So I'll To be honest with you,
the people is going to have more grip and it's going to go even harder so the kind of yeah kind of gets you up.
But yeah, pizza, pie speaks are crazy.
Crazy thing. I really enjoy it.
Someone else thinking of not sure if it's really a motorsport yet but it's kind of just a ground level version of of drifting that I've seen that's been signed to catch on in Japan. And that's getting you a little
cake ours, and they get PVC piping and all the rear tire and they hook up like a water system to keep the plastic still cool.
That sprays out, water onto the onto the PVC piping on the plastic on the back. And they go drifting, they drift
and slide around on the tracks and stuff with it.
So, do we have something really cheap?
We also know we have something very similar here in Australia.
Is coupled going to your local makers, getting your getting two trays. The handbrake Scotty, the main
man. I gotta know more, you know, my
love for K cars and obviously drifting because one of the that's awesome, I got to know more about this, you know I'm saying? I'll check it out.
So I know one of the YouTubers that I always watch his gone out there and had to go in a couple of their cars.
I'll try and find a couple of these videos.
I'll link it here in the chat. Well, it was like a thing they
did with them. Can you do like the green
machines? They split PVC on the on the
back wheels of those as well. And then I think if somebody
tried them on go-karts as well for a little bit that that was a little worse but this sounds really fun.
Yeah it looks like a lot of fun. Hmm that would be that would be
sick. Like it's interesting because
I'm speaking of David earlier and he was saying, you know, they race they re sitting ones and they and you know, like they got cake are like just just, you know, specific specific racing with three different things. And he was saying, well, they
were Racing the Honda City turbo 2's, you get bobbed and because they were just so tall. They just fall over, just like
tip. So it's interesting to see that
I like to see one of those with the sort of PVC tires on the rear end, but what about we better figure eight racing and we see that figure out Train racing that they do in the states. Like, it's pretty nuts.
So you becomes a demolition derby, pretty much.
It's pretty much the figure on it on like a like a figure eight track. Basically, the person the first
cars responsible for the navigation, And the person that back hazards for is responsible for breaking the middle car is is pretty much occupied. So basically, it's, you're
waiting to get here essentially and it's quite, it's quite good.
I find it really interesting. Can I say you can see these to
be a lot of demolition derbies and stuff like that.
You don't see that anymore any 80s and 90s is you know when we'll first started driving used to go down 11 and watching especially cars up and go to the Speedway's and stuff like that, it was good fun to watch. It's right in your face and all
sorts of things. My uncle's, my mom side.
They they race Speedway for years and like, that, they'd stop cards and they also have like the speedway cars.
And they'll, you know, methanol picking out fueled and like, they'll powerful powerful things and I'll see you my old Colonial. He was he's a paraplegic but he
actually won. He actually won his his Division
and you know beating all labeled guys in a car that was like that. But I've got those good luck to
win. The stock cars were coming
because they'd be like, oh, Oh, that wasn't a you Falcon though that was there was a VT Commodore, you know, and it's and you just see I'm like going sideways and hitting and rolling and I dis it's crack, it's actually really good to watch.
It's actually the The Calder try Cowboys for a reason because they're because they're pretty nuts too.
It's almost therapeutic, isn't it?
It is, it is. It's you just use a sit there
watching just to skip my mother. As there's a the cars come
compass' and your it actually hurts because it because it's a really hard. It's a like subscribe.
Vice. So yeah, I got a got a bit of
respect for those guys because, you know, it's cheap motor sport but it's also, you know, you still put a cage in the car and, and the work. So it's really, really cool.
Really cool. What about Howard Street luge?
Have you ever seen this thing that like, you know, like the Illusion in itself is really nice but, but with a powered with a powered measure, just be even more nuts like you've got, It's Like You on a little Converse skateboard thing on a yeah, with more power. It's just Just nuts.
I'm going to say it. No, I haven't seen anything like
that. It's pretty nuts.
It's a it's pretty good, said, what I was looking up some of the more obscure ones I fell. I went down a rabbit hole and I
was like, holy crap. Like there is here is just like
stuff that I've never done. There's people racing school,
buses, there's people racing all sorts, you name it.
They're right there, racing it, essentially and I find it really, really funny. It's a, it's really, really
good. Any other thing, one thing that
That's popped up on Onkyo Sports.
They have like a section of just weird things like weird Sports.
There's like Ultimate Frisbee championships cornholing with those bean bags and you just throw the whole.
Like that's a sport on there. Some for and they got one where
it's just tram driving. That's like a championship
program. Driving was on their tram
driving Championship Bobcats so you have a bobcat competition.
The so you can, you know, really Bobcats are in and do wheelies on their Bobcats and stuff like that.
And I had happened right before the best podcast driver.
What about Harvesters that reminds me there are mostly older the old country where you do the tractor pulling.
You got the truck is back-to-back trying to pull each other and inevitably do wheelies.
They don't have rollover protection and drivers is get crushed and everyone's like keep doing it.
Yeah, the next dislike thought. This context guide.
Well you were speaking about Harvest like, come on like there's combine harvester racing like bleep.
It does it does. I'll tell you you know it exists
it's almost gone and now it's that's the real reason why John Dee doesn't people, you know getting into their IP and like hacking the computers. As you get that extra extra 20
hp at a combine harvester to get that edge and the drag race.
There's also get this this belt sander racing Everyone does it. I did until I tried to like
Grand Prix, it is one of the most accessible and fun wall and if What's good to watch and it's probably not so uncommon in Europe at ice track racing is is fantastic to watch.
I think Top Gear actually went to one mountain where they try to race their cars stock, cars against track.
Cars, that went around a nice track.
Thanks absolutely hammered. So yeah, that was good to watch
his boss races. Like Prime movers like truck
truck racing and and they have to be limited to like 100 case in air or something because They won't stop it now and they break through, they break through walls and barriers like on on Racetrack so they have to be limited to it to a Spain but it's like it's like rubbing his rating.
They hold back is actually really good to watch.
That wasn't speed Waker. Like I'll finish it off with
this one. The pegan Ford.
Have you guys heard of that one? Its people it's been going for
is probably one of the oldest forms of motor racing for nearly 100 years. You Have a Model, T Ford and
pigs. Basically, the back story is
that to locals conceived of this race.
In 1925, when they came across a loose pig, while driving a Model T, they chased it down, and deliver it back to the farm in Escape From. So now it's, it's legit a, it's
legit a thing, you, you you don't get you don't get anything. You just get bragging rights in
a trophy for a just limited to the Model T.
Yeah Justin's multi. But from what I'm reading here
it's like these are stripped down race-ready model T's So, with a, with a, with a, with a earth-shattering, 22 horsepower.
So that that'll be that'll be Quality quality racing on.
So you see chase down the pig? Yeah.
Catcher our catch it. Okay, drive back to the okay.
Yeah, I was imagining pigs. Are she driving a Model?
T Ford. So enjoy a Model T.
Ford is hard for normal people to drive they can fix pretty smart animals. Yeah, they are surprised what
they could do with some of our opposable thumbs, you know.
It's very clever, very clever based on that level of motor sport is in. Saudi Arabia, is considered you
know you know I'm saying Eddie lost was just before we move out into the conquest for tonight just one last four mind.
Anyway, the Formula E, it's hasn't really had the same level of publicity as formula one. But I was just looking at the
new Formula E Gen 2. Two cars and they go 0 to 102.3
seconds and they've got, I think of 55 kilowatt-hour battery pack or something like that. Still very, very quick, awesome
setup. And I haven't seen a race
myself, but I know it exists and I'd like to watch one one day, but it just goes to show a model through performance.
Is a full-fledged car is only cup.
Maybe less than half a second. No less than that.
Yes, point four of us. In fast slower than these
Formula E go-karts basically. Yeah, it's interesting you
mention that because his Formula E, it's going strength to strength, you know? It's interesting and it's
actually quite good too, it's good racing because everything is very, you know, it's very much the same in you.
It's just pretty much comes to really like to to drive a skill.
Whereas will own a lot in the Formula, One on the weekend, which was, which was quite interesting to say that the Mercedes does not have the Cases here, you know it's all about you know like engine and then and a bit in a bit more like that. I also ask you study.
Well obviously you're the resident F1 fan.
What did you think of the F1 before we move on?
I like the changes. I can see, they can race a lot
closer. Just watching.
It was Leclair and for Steppin over taking each other for the for the few laps. You can just see that they
actually can race close together.
They're not losing as much downforce as they were.
Previously. And I actually like the look of
the new Formula 1 cars to migrate then you design Holly Robbie goes to go into the Formula. 1 in Singapore, is you?
Yes, I got my Melbourne tickets and then Singapore and Japan loss. That'll be awesome.
Thanks. Yeah, but yeah, but report
doesn't give you wings. They read a few what it has to
do with that. They couldn't go into the pits
because it was the car was too hot.
I couldn't go in the pits because they got you.
What was 18 inch wheels? So the brakes are different.
What? If you ask the experts, the only
real fuel. You should be using is 98 and
r31. Yeah, so that's the only type of
fuel you should. Obviously the Formula 1
Engineers need a new engineer. That's why we need Scottish
chefs Imports. And Scott eidos engineering only
score is Nature's the stitch on the other teams to find out whatever they say we were here. Bonus question.
You gentlemen ready? Yes sir.
Let's do it. Question 1.
What car was deemed the most influential car of the 20th century the Subaru for Tex. So I would love to give that to
you but it's not. Wait.
Just quick maths by 20th century.
We mean the 1900s, right? Correct.
Elam Elam. I'm gonna go with the Ford Model
T because yeah, that's absolutely correct, formality.
Yeah, well then, yeah, it was followed in second by the next car, which is the mini, the original Mini.
But for question 2, in what decade did the original Mini come out in? 50s rock.
This is on robbed. It is absolutely the 50s 1959.
I believe it was one of them. All right we gotta say goodbye
to read 0 is already going to go sorry reason I didn't say that all good. Just sorry that you had to
interrupt the quiz but I wish everyone all the very best and we'll see you soon. Question 3, what car am I?
This two-door two-seater. Convertible was a revelation
when it came out as it was introduced in the 1990s and is still for sale. In its kind guys to Rob Rob.
MX-5 incorrect. It's mid-engine layout allow for
superb handling with its limited mounted Flat 6.
This started off as a 2.5 that back then went to a 2.7 and grew
from there. It was the company's first
design of Roadster since 1956. What car am I?
Patrick's thinking idea because he's he's, he's like, he's like why I want to save on with the complete.
Cool are Porsche Boxster. Completely correct.
Well done. And we'll get it.
I'll take that. Who else is you all?
Give you all the chance to drink.
That's really no, really no, okay.
Scotty 2.8. Okay.
And and so what we had so far to point 62.83 l 26.3 later Town.
Let's go to point 2, Holly and Rob are correct that it was 2.5
liters. That was the first 36 they had
well them, damn fine. It totally are very methodical
like that. They just like you there.
Either like 1.53 later 2.0. Yeah, like that that they won't
make 2 .75 liters or anything like that.
They're actually they're actually kind of pathetic like that bonus question in which generation did the camera get its first V6? Oh, Alum, do I need to know like
I can give you a time period, if you just give me like one first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth module just general.
Yeah just I think it's the second generation.
Second generation is absolutely correct.
Well done. I just know it's like the 80s to
90s. Yeah.
Well yeah. It's a second question 5.
What is a ppf? How Alum is like paint
protection film? Well, Yeah, I'd love to give it
to you but now you know, that's not the answer.
I'm looking for give a technically, I answer the question I should be at least half a point for that.
You just specifically saltwater ppf is a paint protection film.
It is pay protection film. Yes, but Scotty, you can, you
can sing as you're on 0. At this point, you can be the
judge. There's you get the point.
Yes, or no. I should get half of 100 a list.
Like, unless if it's actually the answer you're looking for, let us, you know, a polymer-based kind of film that's used to protect cars. Cause them to get the full
point, but if it's something totally different I still should get half of white because PPM is also just provide, give him half a point. Yeah, I will.
Crickets. Absolutely.
Yes. Yeah.
Thinking thinking it's it feeds an engine.
Ha particular code to Holly, Holly pitcher particular filter is absolutely correct. World on Holly very, very good
4.0 score check What's it called?
The new VW art eons wagon. It's not called a wagon, they
call it something else, what do they call it?

Germans the wagons are do the milk headed, Joshua break but Scott just just got in there but I love you got it correct?
I'll give you a power but I had to, I'd the floor sir.

I'll give you the point. Bonus question.
What does the term shooting brake actually mean?
Where did it get its name from? Good question.
Oh Alum. As some to do is shooting guns,
I'll give you a point five. I'll give you a point five.
That's a lot of ice to guess. If anyone cares give him the
rest of the as I'll give you the I'll give you the full point.
Crickets and picnics and something like that.
Yeah, I'll give you a point five, Rob.
Basically, the term shooting brake means it's an it's an original style, which was drawn from the horse and horse-drawn wagons in the 1890s to transport shooting parties to with their equipment and game like the interstitial diffusion.
So that is that is where they get the term from because, you know, long back and you can sit in there and shoot.
And as well as you know, carry only color we stuff to be able to do it question 7. How many vehicles does
Mitsubishi currently have for sale here in Australia?
Now, a lot of crevasses I did see the current.
The brand-new Eclipse cross in is probably the one I wanted most hideous on proportion because I've ever seen so Mitsubishi. I don't know what you're doing.
But anyway, how many vehicles do they currently have to sail types? You're saying, so like this is
just how many vehicles and generally in general.
Do they have a sale here in Australia?
Besides Like the foods I can two trucks and just like vehicle.
I can't. Like I cars and vans, cars,
Vans, SUVs or will go with that Scott Scott.
Full incorrect. I trick that you get in there
three incorrect. Well, I reckon it's seven
incorrect elements up to you. I definitely recommend a high
numbers the way to go. I'm just thinking this like try
and put your lndu mentioned, the express lane de overlay and a mirage. 88 is absolutely correct.
I am. Well done you.
Yes, so bonus question. I'll give you a point five name,
each of them. So I'll Alum.
So for the interest of fairness for this because everyone gets have a go because you don't you only first, you can it, you can name two at a time and we go around and whoever doesn't get it. Right.
We'll, we'll come back. So LM, you got, you got the
floor. All right.
I'll just do try and in Pajero because I know Pajero, they don't, they don't do any better. Comes Pajero it.
Morse 0.5 for you. Alan.
What do you mean to do for Jerry?
Stop making a picture. Has any picture is for now?
It's still a Pajero, there is no bullshit.
So Adams got .54 that now, I'm taking a point.
That's bullshit. He wants.
He wants it. Takes to.
Okay, so how are you said? Pajero sport.
Yeah, and I'll give you one point.
There will go. To Patrick.
I'll answer incorrect. Know you got.
You got one more try this. A trident.
Dave said trodden? Yes.
So yeah. Islands are trying to Turner for
you. Scotty the eclipse cross a
certain way time. Did you say it keeps crossing
your in your or did you say trying and Pajero?
I believe us are trying to preserve a so he Clips cross point five. That's one.
A mirage, Mirage, absolutely 11 back to you, Alan.
So what's been said so far there?
What has been said so far is Outlander, outliner, Mirage, try Clips. It gives cross and Pajero sport.
So they still have three other models that they that they website. So there's the ASX point five.
And one of the cars, I think they make an Cause I was like not electric but you know hybrid-electric something like a plug-in. Yeah.
If you can give me the name of it, I'll give you the point.
Well it's not going with the Pajero sport.
Is it? I don't think it's going to be
the exclusive Clips cross the Essex.
The airline is a big one, right? Yeah.
All right. In the outlined in some kind of
hybrid electric something. I'll give it to you.
It's, it is the Outlander P plug-in hybrid.
Well done, there is one more for sale.
I'll give you a table, make it interesting.
I'll give you a point if anyone can get it.
One more people at this. Expressive in the expressman,
Holly and robe is correct. Well done.
I'll give you a point there because I didn't think anyone was gonna get that one. All right?
Question, 8 was the founder of Mercedes-Benz carbons, Holly, Holly is absolutely correct. Karl Benz.
Is that is the perfect answer for that one.
Now we've got two questions to go.
Score check, Patrick one, Scotty one Allen, one, two, three, four, five, six point five. And And Holly and rubber on 6.5
as well. It is it's tight.
It's tight game between between a Holly and Robin almond meal to be fair. That anybody's Game Room, huh?
The Most powerful version of BMW Z3 came with what engine.
I need an engine code. Thank you very much gentlemen.
It's a pretty famous engine. Scott Scott, is it the n54
incorrect. Yeah, there is, I think people's
a new one. So all those are three.
It's an old to know concert area and you think of the era came out in and what was around there in engine.
And the olds and the three-year the old train, the most powerful version, it came with was in the Z3 M Coupe.
And it had this is engine out of another car from their lineup because I'm stupid as 55 or incorrect.
I know what it is. I got the right said, the wrong
letter I didn't know it's 54 54 is correct.
I had no idea. I want to talk to parties,
three, four, five, six, seven and a half.
One, two, three, four. I can, I can I should be on one
and a half, because I helped out Alum.
I'll give you one of the half and Patrick, you got one number wrong. So, I'll give you a point five
as well. Just just just because I'm being
generous School chick, Patrick, and Scotty, 1.5 h, and a tie.
We've got first place now. So, does every week I should
make an, I should have a tiebreaker question but I Never do well in Rob and Alomar on 7.5.
Each. That's an interesting biscuit,
interesting, kettle of fish. Consider, if you split Holly and
Rob there really are three and a quarter each.
So we have to, we have to do a talk because we can't end on a tire. That's just, that's not how the
show Works, ever. All right.
I think there's a conflict of interest here.
That's a little bit, just a little bit, Rob's gonna go.
Okay, I've got a question. So I think we should ask Patrick
or Scotty if they've got a question that they that they could possibly know the, you know, of cards and they've owned or currently aren't, and see if there are any of our distinguished guests can can get the, get the answer, correct.
I'm not know I can think of some but they're all Japanese that's fun. Bring it on.
I feel like that's kind of favor.
Well that just favor. Alum know that making a wheel.
I don't know. Okay.
So it's Escort sold in Australia.
It was sold as a panel van, they had a special edition model.
What was it called? Oh, you know, I just spoke about
this the other day. Wasn't the Gypsy was the Gemini.
Gemini correct? Yeah.
Is a sandman which was the Holden Chrysler?
Had one. They call it something else.
Chips was no job. No Gypsy.
Just spoke about the other day cut for a second.
I can't remember now you've up, but yeah, I give up.
OMG, give up. All right, I give up, I had no
idea, The Sundowner escort panel van.
Yes. All right, next question.
Absolutely. Okay, the holding see v8z Manara
had an engine size of what. Rob was it a 5.8?
Incorrect Alan the floor is yours.
You're one of these you do it was like, oh yeah, I know it's blessin, six layers, it is less than six ladies, I give you that is 5.6. It's 5.7
I've got a feeling, it's gonna be a long night.
We're going, we could enter. There's a drill gentleman, just
saying that's what have you decided this game works.
Okay. Hey, we're the ones in the
league, we decide Robin. Holy taste victory.
So they're probably going to push.
Okay, well let me I may ask it. What?
What? What's the capacity of a new C63
tell you that? It's not a bonus?
Bonus, tiebreaker question? What was the first car I've ever
owned? Let's go.
It was a Toyota Corolla. Nope, definitely not much.
I would say 1986. Yeah, well done.
All would have said, 89 like me. How is it that?
Because of my friend had a VK is like a beauty like the last of the VK. There's like 80 something 85.
So yeah, yeah. The real turbo Cannon 86.
Yeah, there was nearly the second half of the year.
Yeah. So tonight's winners on 8.5 is
highly and Rob. We got there in the end.
Gentleman. Well done.
Okay. Well, well done.
Gentlemen, it's been a great show tonight.
Actually, it's been a lot of fun.
We've talked about rolling chassis as fifteens again, with Patrick because that's just, that's just what I do is this the guy every time every time. Anyway, these days with no motor
or anything pretty much. It's a Flintstone car
essentially. But at least it's not 50 Grand.
But you know. What's funny though?
Like that 50 Grand rolling, shall it's Jesse.
It must have sold because it was up there and everywhere that I went. So someone probably would have
paid it because you know it's pretty would have been some American like all like animals Nielsen or somebody would have said iíll, buy 50 and they deserve to.
If that's the case, the whoever bought it doesn't matter who it is, they deserve to get slapped. I'm sorry 50k for a car in its
complete form, that's not film worth 20 grand.
I'm looking getting to it. I could do is stuck on.
Do this to everyone. It's for another segment.
Yes. Yes.
Stupid prices of people have paid.
I think we should, we should make that next next week's topic. But anyway, I want to finish on
the CB 8z because we're talking about that Turismo.
Blue color was such a beautiful night.
It was a really nice color like I came in.
And in the I think the Fusion gold was, it was a really nice colors, our story. We actually are like a couple
Here are the same probably Mustang and ebook.
One of those fusion blue. Save it back.
He bought the cv8. Yeah, it wasn't.
As that instead of Eric came out of severe, but you got to see V8 in the blue. Let's see, Daisy.
It was, it was, it was pain in the last year.
Before the CBI team dead came out.
The car was paid in that blue and the gold.
Those two cars for the Now, painted the first colors for the CV. I did it for last of the.
Yeah, mmm. And there was given by executive
yet, in South Australia, and you bought it off them.
So they were the only cv8 wanted to kind of like, hey, what, there's 30 grand for it, something like 60,000 cases of it. Does he obviously still got it?
Yeah, he's not gonna get rid of it.
I'd like the old bike, like that AV Jacks for that.
Like they look at the TV set up, it is still a little bit old stuff for the motor show. It has a cap like I think like
that yet, so it was. Yeah, the motor show car.
Yeah, I'm General Motors for 2004 2005 because it has a 6-0 6-2 cvid came out. This is a few thousand for motor
show car. That'll be something to hold on
to. I think they're absolutely
good-looking car like hard to. I thought it was a good-looking
car, kicking myself. I didn't buy one instead.
Ah but I think by not buying a 4-track.
Yeah, she did. Yeah.
So I was looking at the sea v89 applying a stupid joke.
I don't know why. You just you bought a Jeep to
say you could you bought a? Do you know what?
A gay had a Mercedes boat at the time as a commander and the kids are growing up and we want to do some trips so it's more practical. I know, I know what a jerk.
You wouldn't believe it. I think that's what would you
some quick plugs, Rob and Holly's?
You know, a firefighting electrical everything.
Always available always available, always Scotty stitches. Nothing the station got nothing.
We've got we got Patrick's past, Patrick's rolling as chassis.
If you find, if you got one plate, please let him know.
And I'm could you give our boy Reggie, Ross a plug, please the New car market is crazier than ever.
So if you want to make sure you're paying the right price and not overpaying for a new car.
He's a good man, resi, Ross, at facebook.com forward, slash
kallu by you or color.com. He can get you the best
information about what people are paying for cars.
And like I said, right now, it's more important than ever.
It's a special news. The D-Max got delayed or what?
Yeah, so I actually called up the Asian.
I said, well, you said from April onwards, June.
So, just in case it's coming soon, just, you know, since we're not financing, it's going to get the funds ready, just let me know. And she said well now the Bill
Dates change and we're looking at August for build date August.
Yeah to build it. And then you look at September /
October to deliver it but that's pretty crazy and the price has gone up. So again, here is your Oscar.
Make sure you don't paint too much.
Yeah. Did you get it locked in at a
price? Yeah, I got it locked in it.
Yeah, definitely a few grand, less.
So I'm pretty happy about that. We saw a couple D-Max is
actually available ready to go. I think dealership 1282 Grand
what? Yeah.
That's what that's like 20 or 30 grand above mob of retail.
Yeah. That's meant somebody will
probably pay it. Yeah, it's going to be desperate
obviously. That's like a whole bloody, you
know, to two or three Mitsubishi Mirage, on top, we've got to do Mitsubishi Mirage in terms of in terms of unit of measurement unit of coinage. But yeah, that that's crazy.
But definitely find out what you should be paying because you should be paying at that like and share.
