The 12 Hours of Sebring is a long car race that lasts 12 hours. Different types of race cars compete together to see who can go the farthest in that time.

GTP is the fastest group of race cars in the Sebring race. These cars are specially made to be very fast and use new technology.

GTD is a group of race cars that look like sports cars you can buy, but they are made faster for racing. They are slower than the fastest race cars.

LMP2 is a group of special race cars that are very fast but a bit slower than the fastest ones. They race in long races like Sebring.

Indycar Dad Podcast: Hey, it's IndyCarDad and although we have to wait another week for the race at Barber, there are some current and former IndyCar drivers in the 12 hours of Sebring this weekend. So let's take a look at that.

I'll give you a brief rundown of who's going to be in the race, maybe what we can look forward to from them, and then also how to watch the race. current drivers in the race, Scott Dixon is in the Meyerschank number 60.

He's joined in that car by Tom Blomquist, who was an IndyCar driver, and Colin Brown. So those guys are fast. Also Alex Palo is in the other Meyerschank car, the number 93. He's in there with Ringer van de Zander and Nick Yololi.

Just to throw in three guys whose names are difficult to pronounce. So those guys are in the top class, the GTP class, and they're both driving for Meyerschank. So if you're an IndyCar fan, should be wearing your Meyerschank gear this weekend.

Kyle Kirkwood is also in the race. He's driving in the GTD class, which is a little slower, GTD Pro. He's in a Lexus. He's driving for Jimmy Vassar's team. So there's some past drivers in the race and I'll go in order of fame.

Colton Hurto will be driving the number 40 Cadillac. So he's kind of famous. Callum Aylot will be in the number one, ⁓ by the way, Colton's in the GDP car, top class. Callum Aylot will be in the number 120 Porsche, which is in the lowest class.

⁓ Jacob Abel will be in the number 18 LMP2, which is in the middle class. Pietro Fittipaldi will also be in the LMP2 class with a number 73. And Hunter McElroy will be back in the number two LMP2 car.

Hunter McElroy has done a couple of Indy cars races he was strong in Indy White's I think he just kind of ran out of money he also won the Daytona 24 the sheer in that car so Other past drivers include Jack Hawksworth, which you might not remember, but he's co-driving with Kyle Kirkwood in that GT Pro Lexus.

Toby Sowery, Tristan Vautier, and Benjamin Peterson will also be out there in cars. So that's the Sebring 12 Hours. Here's how to watch it. The Sebring 12 Hours starts, the broadcast starts at 10 a.m.

on Saturday and goes to 10.30 at night. ⁓ It is broadcast the whole time on Peacock in the USA. ⁓ If you're outside of the USA, you can watch them for free. So if you have a outside of the USA pathway through the internet that might be called like a VPN, you can watch the race for free on IMSA TV, which is at IMSA.TV or the IMSA YouTube channel.

So that's a way to see it. ⁓ If you don't want to do that and you don't have a VPN and you don't have ⁓ Peacock, the finish of the race will be televised on NBCSN. a channel I do not get. And also the entire race will be broadcast on IMSA radio, which is an online radio station.

that you can tune into at IMSA.com. So there you go, there's the 12 hours of Sebring, the IndyCar drivers in the race. It's a fairly exciting race. I like IndyCar more than I like IMSA, but when there's no racing on, I'll be watching it.
