Maybe you hire the architect and then you hire the contractor
and then you hire
One or two other trades people maybe independently
And and you hire the interior person right?

Groups and people involved in building the building are not just
They're only going to answer to you
Which is incredibly problematic if you aren't an expert in certain fields

When I built my first building this one
I hired the architect
I hired the contractor
I hired the lift manufacturer. I hired the interior designer
each of those people
Refused to take orders or direction from any of the other ones
even though it's like
The architect should tell the contractor how to build the building
The contractor should tell the lift manufacturer how to install the lifts like like
But but it's not because those people didn't work in that chain of command
They all worked for me and when there would be a disagreement
Guess who the fuck had to solve that? Yeah, they go to dad
Guy who isn't an architect isn't a contractor and has literally never looked at a set of plans before
That is a problem
And so then you end up having to get
An owner's representative or a construction manager, which is a whole other six-figure job
In order to to understand what these people are fucking fighting about
And or possibly appoint this person to direct the situation
Which nobody will like because here's a new person coming right
Of all those people I by far had the best relationship with the contractors
So I said next time
You work for me
Everyone else works for you
You hire an architect. You hire the fucking lift installing guy
You hire this people and now I only have to have one conversation and it's never
I need to settle a dispute between two people and it costs me a little more money
But at least the person on the top is an actual expert in the field
You know like that that's so that's one where like
I don't know maybe they teach somewhere how to do that
But like you certainly at first glance wouldn't be like wait a minute

Two examples regarding fords 10 speed transmissions
Number one
It's common for these transmissions to skip shift where it will go 135 skipping gears in between
This is normal and a lot of 10 speed equipped vehicles will actually display which gear you're in
So it's easy to see the skip shifts in real time
We have to explain to this and to customers all the time that it's normal
Quote, but I paid for 10 gears. I want to use all 10 gears wait till they learn about cylinder deactivation. Hell. Yeah, right
Number two it's parked
It's common for these vehicles if parked for extended periods of time
The torque converter will drain back into the sump and when you start it up and shift it into drive
Sometimes it won't go anywhere
Takes a bit of time for that torque converter to fill back up for it as a tsb about it
But it's normal and they arrive advise customers to wait 30 seconds before after startup before shifting out of park
Hmm. That's an interesting one. I didn't know that one. I imagine
That's an electronic lever or buttons, right? So it'll let you do it and then nothing will happen
Yeah, you're in drive, but you're not. Yeah, sorry the shifter is in drive, but the transmission is not ready yet, right?
