Go, go, go.
You know, I just see everybody in the chat just like spamming late even when we're completely on time.
And all I'm thinking of is that we should have just waited an hour and a half to do the show, done the show,
and then afterwards complained about how long it took and how late we were up till.
Bullets up everybody. This is NWP post Nashville.
Let's see over here. I'm doing it the right way this time is Danny B and Eric E right there.
And Iceberg. I don't have anything with an E that I can really say with my name, but.
There we go. Immediately I say it. This podcast is too long.
I like this one.
It's been saying something to three hour, four hour specials we've had before.
I think we did have one that was over four hours once and we were by the time we got to the end we're like,
all right, we might actually have to focus on shortness thing up a little bit.
But we'll get to that when we get there. Let's talk about that Nashville race guys.
One of probably the most positively received races, I would say of the year when it comes to the talk that fans had around it.
When it comes to a lot of the racing aspect of it and the biggest part of that I think comes from the finish.
You'll get on paper. It's a JGR lockout. 123 You got Hamlin Bell Briscoe up at the front.
He got some other Toyotas up there too, but it was a hell of a race to the finish.
Eric, what would you think of, you know, Denny getting it done the way he did with basically a four lap duel with Bell side by side nearly the whole time.
I mean, you talked to the guy, so you might get a little more insight than us.
Yeah, I mean, what stood out to me a couple of things. One, this was like a mirror image of the Phoenix spring finish last year where I think it was a two lap shootout and it was Bell on the inside of Hamlin.
In this case, it was Hamlin on the inside of Bell. The inside cars, a lot of leverage can kind of do to the outside car as they wish as they please.
Both drivers kind of leaning on each other. I mean, Denny initiated it. He would drive in really deep.
But Bell, Bell could have lifted and tried to cross over instead. He drove in deep too.
They both got tight a couple of times, pushed up the track and that allowed Chase Briscoe to make it three wide.
I agree, Jerry. This was one of the most fun, like actual races.
Once the race got into a rhythm at least there were times where it struggled with that.
But once this race got into a rhythm, the final four lap dash 34 of the best cars all night going at it door to was really fun.
It was really fun to watch and Denny Hamlin, man. He's just, I talked about this on my show Sunday night.
He keeps reinventing himself even at 45 years old. He's 20 plus years into his cup series career and he just keeps, he's not complacent.
He keeps getting better. Two weeks go over. He won, yes, but he struggled on restarts, lost the lead multiple times.
He needed a long run to run Briscoe down this last race. He was dominant on restarts.
Even when he was mid-pack, he was making moves, three wide moves. He was going forward on every single restart.
And that's ultimately what decided the race at the finish. I'm just so impressed.
I'm impressed that someone who's won as many races as he has, who's accomplished as much as he has, who's at the end of his career.
He's got a year and a half left, so to speak. The fact that he keeps working at it keeps getting better.
That's just, I mean, that's scary for the field. He's on such a run and this was just the latest, his latest feat.
How about you, Danny? What do you think of Danny delivering again?
Man, I look back on it as like, if you didn't think to go check out like Drak and something like that live, as soon as he jumped that start and go cash in on whatever odds they admittedly sprung on him for that,
you missed out because I'm sure it would have been great. I didn't do it, but looking back, I was thinking in my head,
well, he's going to have this happen to me. He's going to come back and win this race and he did.
But I will say the finish of this race, phenomenal. The sixth race since they've returned back to Nashville Super Speedway, definitely delivered.
No pun intended for Danny Delivers. Delivered for the fan experience there at Nashville Super Speedway as probably the greatest like place in the race.
Maybe one of the best races overall at Nashville Super Speedway. Got to think Nashville Super Speedway in and of itself replaced Kentucky Speedway, which is in a similar market to this track.
And of Kentucky Speedway, I think outside of the 2019 Curtin-Kyle duel, it felt like that track just got worse over time versus Nashville Super Speedway.
The more we've been going to it, I feel like the races have been getting better and here.
So it's been positive to say that six years in, this track still has a positive outlook to it. I hate that this was the first one that I didn't get to be there for the whole week.
And I got to be there for not even a full truck race on Friday. I had to leave a little bit early for us to make our flight the next day.
But yeah, I'd say Nashville Super Speedway fans, you got a great race. You got what you paid for and, you know, cannot complain whatsoever about the way this weekend went.
And they paid. I mean, they sold it out again. So, no, I mean, this is Danny's 60 second career win. He was already in sole possession at 10th all the time.
And now he is one win away from tying the late Kyle Bush. And I think we're kind of in agreement that more than likely this is a where rather aware and when rather than an if.
So I did want to kind of give that question to you guys and maybe it's going to spoil picks or something tonight. Where do you guys think that next win, that tying win comes at?
This weekend.
Next. Next win. I mean, he's the fate. He's got to be the favorite.
He won it last year. He's been the most consistent on this style of tracks right now. He's getting at his at his peak of the season. He's with Danny momentum carries him a lot of times. And right now he's got it.
And I would be very shocked if he doesn't win this weekend's race.
Danny's got the number one pick later not to spoil it. You can tell he's done his research.
I'm not picking.
But now, yeah, I it's it could be poking out could be. I mean, it's not going to be the two road courses after that. So there's there will be a short break if you're getting tired of all the Danny winning lately.
Don't worry. There'll at least be a two week break coming up later this month. So no worries there. You'll get a breather. But I think I think the bigger question is just how many more can he get this season.
And to me, the bigger question more broadly is like, shoot, what is Chevy? What does Ford do? They are not closing the gap to Toyota and we are more than a third of the way through the entire season, more than halfway through the regular season.
Like, yeah, obviously things can change. It is still a long way to go. I'm not saying they won't catch up. I think they can catch up, but they are they haven't yet. They're not even like they have not turned the corner yet.
Like Toyota is still the best car best team at especially the bigger tracks. And this weekend was just the latest example of that.
You know, I also am thinking like before the season, I think we were thinking like, you know, it's going to be tough to hit like that 70 mark. I think you can hit that too, by the way, just kind of going to the Denny front on the on the OEM front.
I feel like Elliott and Larson are the ones that like are still to watch because we've seen Chevy do this before and Larson definitely is off from them and that five team, but it's like if Chevy and Hendrick get something really figured out and take that next step and it's a long ass season, we got a big, you know, break coming up.
I think we can definitely see them compete still. I don't think it's it's necessarily too late for for any kind of improvement. But the Ford side of it, I was at Brad who said when they were asked like what does Ford need to do to get to the next level and he was like new body.
Like it's really new body like the other two got.
Yeah. Well, it's interesting because the the so remember Ford was it 2024 was when they introduced the dark horse this car.
Yeah, well it was the start of 2024 and remember they did not win a race that season until like mid May. It was Kasselowski at Darlington and that was a race where it could have been Chris Buscher, Radick and them got together.
You know, but it took Ford until mid May to win a race. But then after that, they look pretty good the rest of the season and obviously Ryan Blaney. I don't know 2024 is Lugano Lugano championship.
It was Blaney and Lugano though battling it out at the end. So you at the end of the season Ford look great and they were especially good at the short flat tracks. That's just my thing is here we are in now June 3rd and Ford has not gotten any better.
And I agree with you, Jarrett. When Hendrick figures it out, it will be Kyle Larson and probably Chase Elliott leading the way for them like making those inroads.
But my point is they like Larson said it after Charlie's like me. I felt like my balance was good. I was getting everything I could and he was like fourth in speed all night, which is good really good.
But like usually when Larson's perfect, he's winning instead. Now perfect is fourth. And that was the case once again, even though he had the flat tire at the end, even without that flat tire, he probably finishes fifth at a Nashville the other night.
So that's just there's a lot of work to do to catch those Toyotas and there is a lot of time to do it though to your point.
I mean, we'll talk about the points in a bit, but it's just Redick and Hamlin in particular as Toyotas have gotten so far ahead of the competition.
I mean, we talked about Redick's lead obviously, but we'll see in a bit. Hamlin too has, I mean, he's put himself in that level.
And I mean, even when they get something figured out, if you're starting 25, 35, 50, I mean, if you're sixth in points where Larson is, I believe you start 50 points in the hole.
Something like that. Yeah, it's going to be hard to make up if you're even, you're going to need to you're going to need to like nail it every week and then hope that they have a problem.
But no, I mean, it's it might be too much for this year. I'll tell you what though, if we're going to talk about improvements, we have to talk about who has improved most year to year.
And it is clearly Shane Van Gisburg and at this point fifth place finish ran up front in the top 10 again, pretty much all night, just as he did in the Coke 600 raced up front.
And actually for a while held off Kyle Larson and he was at a tire disadvantage SVG was for the lead. What are we thinking about SVG now 12th in the point standings consistently now getting top 15s and now top 10s and a top five and ovals.
Really got to watch for him this weekend because Michigan unlocked some of the last few days done well on the track where you can really don't have to get on the break don't have to get off throttle too much you can pretty well, you know, not not flat foot up you can carry a lot of speed around this track and bear to some of the other one so I look forward to seeing how SVG will do at this one this weekend you know definitely a another top five is not out of the equation for them and really just track us in general.
They need this they need to start having a car getting back up to you know top speed whether it's SVG or Ross Connor is just Connor is in the you know that meme of SpongeBob just looking like insane down a dark hallway that's Connor this season right now.
See I'm thinking of the meme of the swimming pool where it's like the woman catching the kid and that's SVG the one barely with the head above water is Ross and then Connor is a skeleton under the water.
I think Ross maybe underwater to right now that's it that's what makes SVG season so impressive is that you know Ross is 26 than points and I think didn't we say his only top 15s this year we're like on super speedways or something like that.
He's on every normal track he has yet to have a good day just the truth which is crazy. Connor's a rookie we knew he struggled that we didn't think he struggled this bad but some of it's been bad luck this week it was a break failure you know some of it is inexperienced just as well he was great at Dover too bad that didn't count for points but yeah I think that's what makes it so impressive is for the last really last year and a half now what's been the commentary about track house they don't have speed as far as was ringing that bell those alarm bells all last year we don't have speed.
Don't tell shame dang is Bergen he's I mean in a way that's their that's the like the third car kind of that was their third and you know they for them to their Steven like Steven Durant was Zane Smith's crew chief the year he was there and that's the team that's not only leading track house but is also like a legit chase contender that shoot might contend for a win on an oval here in the not so distant future I I agree with you Jerry I don't know I would throw out tie Gibbs maybe as biggest year to year turnaround.
But Shane's right there as well he's perhaps the biggest surprise I turn around yes I mean just Shane I think is somewhere like almost 200 more points scored so far this year than last no granted he you know the win gives him 15 more but the bulk of that is coming from stage points good finishes he had a bit of a slump there you know for a little while but you know we were kind of saying if he can get to this point and again he saw us two weeks ago but if he gets the point where he's either in the
chase or right at the cut line when we get to San Diego Sonoma like he might be golden for the remainder of the regular season. If they played her car throughout I didn't guess he could be top 10 in our new chase even.
It's not yeah it's not out of the question at all I mean look at how good he was before he had issues at New Hampshire last year. I mean he was running at like sixth I think when he was taken out in that race like why can't he being more improved good with managing the
tires why can't he compete you know for a win in that one Richmond I think he was finished 14th at Richmond last year in his first go of it there so I'm loving what I see out of him so far.
I saw in the chat this this comment to kind of move to another driver get Zane Smith in a better ride right now he he actually looking back has a surprisingly great record at Nashville I noticed like he had that second place finish in the five overtime race.
Ran really well was competing in a bit of a few lottery few mileage race at the end there. What do we think of a Zane heading into Michigan.
Well Michigan is actually a good track for him as well I know he's only made two cup starts there but I think his half rich finishes like seventh across those two races so.
One of the truck races there.
Zane Smith so we know he's a really good driver back in like 20 this is like four or five years ago there was reports out there that chip can ask he was planning on putting him in a cup series seat and then they got bought out by track house and.
Obviously he had to sit and wait his turn for a few more years but I mean really.
If you take out that first those first like three months of his rookie season when he was in that spire track house situation.
Take out those first three or four months where he was terrible Zane Smith has been pretty darn good now for about two years in a row like he has been the best front row car more often than not.
If you look back at the second half of his rookie season remember that year 2024 hosts of our one rookie of the year but if you just take Zane Smith last like 1520 races his numbers were just as good if not better than Carson hosts of that season so.
Like he's really talented he's a truck series champion cup team owners have thought highly of him for at least a few years now so I think I heard Bianchi mention on the athletic when his contracts up he could get a look he should he absolutely should get a look from some of these bigger teams.
Sponsorship funding could be a concern I think personality wise he seems like a good fit at front row all those guys Gregson Gilliland Zane they all seem to get along great friends but.
Certainly if one of those three is going to break out and go win some races for another team one day it's probably going to be Zane Smith.
Could be looked in a maybe RFK could be one to watch because I mean I don't know exactly how many more years I can see Brad driving and owning but can't be much.
He keeps talking like he wants to race for another like decade he's crazy I guess it was the most.
It's a year away you're an half away we'll see how things look.
I then well and then also Ricky stenhouse another run up in the top 10 finish fourth in that Kyle Bush throwback to I mean I think a lot of us before he signed that extension we're kind of leaving Hayek for dead like nah they're going to probably sell their charter to RFK at the end of the year and they're running like 30th it's
not like they're necessarily doing amazing so far this year but I mean he's ahead of I think a lot of teams we thought that the 47 would be behind him points he's had Austin Dylan he's ahead of Todd Gilliland Ross Chastain like it's over performing compared to years past at least.
That that car for what it is what it represented.
I never thought you know Ricky would have a chance to win this race but I really didn't seem finishing top five either sort of fact that he did.
Consider that a win in my book I mean that that car deserves to get a top five that one's gonna run like that I wish it would have been more like that 2009 throwback paint scheme but either way I still remember you know Kyle driving that car and I'm glad I'm glad it did well and it's just kind of ironic that.
You know Ricky Ricky paying tribute to Kyle in that way and his probably most iconic moment of Kyle was the North Wolfsboro waiting around forming the garage area.
Yeah, it was a cool paint scheme that age super well like I that should still be the NOS paint scheme on Sundays I think it looked really good it was cool to see him get a top five yes 10 house I don't know what to make of that team I think Ricky stand house I've always said is slightly underrated as a driver only because.
The bad moments are so big I've been so grand and mean to death like I feel like fans just discount everything's done house does now it's like.
Student one back to back nationwide series championships when that was really hard to do when the competition was quite fierce.
I saw a lot of me can't remember he was he didn't he benched him and still was like you're good enough come on back like he like he didn't burn that bridge.
And Colin Braun because they're wrecking everything Colin didn't get a second chance but Ricky did.
Yeah, I just but I just don't know what to make of that team because they have a Hendrick engines deal but they don't have an alliance their single car team half their ownership group left a few years ago I'm like they lost their main sponsor I.
I don't know what to make of this team because they've had years like 2023 where they're top 16 in points all year when the Daytona 500 it's like okay and then they'll have a year like.
There's either last year the year before where they were 30th in points and you're okay like so I just.
Year to year week to week I never know what to expect but Ricky's a good enough driver that if he has a good car he's going to do something good with it.
And then maybe spend someone out in the process that's that's what's going to happen but no good for him we glossed over real quick but I also just want to touch on the Christopher bell back to back seconds.
He was probably the best car long run wise Sunday night to lose back to back weeks especially this week to lose it on a restart that guys you know you he's got to be going through it mentally this week thinking about what he could or could have done could
or couldn't do differently on that final restart because that team they've been kind of in a little bit of a slump by their standards so rough to not finish it out Sunday night.
Yeah, it definitely seems like in general that 20 has really dialed it in for long runs.
And I do think it's going to pay off in some of these races it might you know maybe even this weekend with how good Toyota's been and how long runs generally are the way these Michigan races end off.
Yeah, I, I'm impressed by I guess, I don't know if it's a turnaround of the season but just how well and how much speed they've been showing as of late.
You know we mentioned Brad keselowski earlier we mentioned Stenhausen spinning earlier and the subject of spinning let's talk about the major incident or the biggest incident Lisa and I Brad keselowski versus Austin Dylan, whereas I should say Austin Dylan versus TJ majors, based on the broadcast.
Do we think it was intentional because NASCAR today said no penalties will come from it.
Yeah, I mean I don't think I think there was.
I think he intentionally drove in close to him.
I don't think he intentionally plan to spin him out necessarily but it's hard to say for sure and I think when there's this much.
This is why I thought the pre-sincident should not be a penalty because I feel like there's enough there's enough plausible deniability here you know was their contact in the priest case we don't even know you know I think there's enough plausible
Deniability here that there should not be a penalty I agree with NASCAR's call but certainly it looked like you know they kept saying on the broadcast oh he lifted he lifted I'm like listen again he lifted like 0.2 seconds before there was contact like he was he
he was he gasped it up right to him and then lifted at the last second like I the fact that he lifted to me does not doesn't mean he's I mean it could be worse could be Josh Berry who just runs into every crash like he did the other night to I mean really didn't lift and
but I don't direct him on purpose but I also think he was going hard in that moment I don't know I he was very quiet over the radio which was smart.
That true I think it was kind of like funny enough Austin Hill at Watkins Glen a little bit last year where he put himself definitely in a bad position I don't think it was intentional either that's a good comparison yeah I kind of agree with that.
It might just be putting it you know bad situation or a dumb move but yeah I I'm just kind of at the point too with these iffy kind of moments and they're not even really that iffy it's like it feels like we have to like over analyze all of it now and I think the priest
thing is only sent it to overdrive and it's only going to keep going with that where now it's like we're going to sit in the slide and NASCAR is going to have to choose basically like well if they got pissed beforehand it's a penalty but if they didn't get pissed it's not
well if it's a little iffy and it's a this I feel like this is just exposing more of that gray area.
Yeah it is a big gray area it makes you wonder if they need like the fact that it goes from either nothing to immediately 25.50 thousand dollars and it makes me feel like maybe there that's where it's like there needs to be they need to be able to make the call in the
moment hey we're going to hold you a lap or just send you to the tail end of the longest line because that felt like a voidable contact like there are other if they wanted to get more hands on they could come up with less severe penalties to just wipe their hands of it in that
moment but instead it's like you're basically get away scot free or it's the death penalty and there's very little in between it feels like and that's where I think that's why I think these debates get so heated that's why I think T.J.
majors react so strongly though looking at it from T.J. majors perspective even if Austin Dylan gets parked gets a 25 point penalty what does that help us Brad keselowski keselowski still wrecked like at the end of the day I get you want to place your frustration at someone you want someone to pay for this but it's not going to bring Brad keselowski's points back
so kind of stuff to live with the result unfortunately. Yeah. Some of the other points kind of cover basically seemed like everybody that was on the cut line or near the cut line who could have outside of SVG I should say who could have had a major leap in points over competition ended up getting taken out or having issues
priests Brad like we talked about Chastain Bubba Byron Busher all collected an instance or had something that took them out of contention and out of the race. I think I want to say like around 10 different drivers DNF in this race.
It just it seems like everyone who could have had a great leap in points and gotten themselves out of a precarious situation points wise did not do so I mean Ross Chastain. This is I know we're kind of focused on Ross a little bit talking about his struggles but he's not going to be in the points discussion by the way I'm just going to let you guys know
now he's too far out to even be put on the graphic 26 in the point standings and he is closer right now to being passed by Noah Gregson than he is to getting in the chase. I mean just I think I said it before that I'm like pretty much I am completely all out on Ross like I know he only lost two points on the cut line because of how much everyone
I struggled but he's a damn near a full race out like he would have to win the race get the fastest lap and get like 12 stage points or more for a chance to even be close. I'm out.
I picked him to make the chase at the start of the season so I'm not going to bail 100% I'm not going to sell all my stock just yet but I'm with you it's like we said earlier no top 15s outside of super speedways this year that's just not that's not going to cut it but
yeah there's more guys I think have a better chance right now then and Ross and it's definitely definitely not him.
If we want to bring up. I know maybe go slightly out order do we want to bring up the points report because I do feel like this is kind of like just goes to the points report because I think this is kind of relevant to this discussion.
I circled him last week on the show.
I know we're looking at the top if you can go to the next page just for a second because we're talking about the bubble. Sorry.
I circled bubble Wallace last week when he was 12.
Yeah.
Now he's 15th he's still plus 34 that's not bad but now he's 15th on the chase grid.
He's going down the board doesn't time for summer for four weeks in a row he has been caught up essentially in someone else's mess he got wrecked at Walkins Glen at Dover he got caught up in the and that was not a points race I guess but then
at Charlotte he was dinged on a restart here he gets caught up in the host of our busher run in he just cannot get out of other people's messes unfortunately now they don't have great speed either outside of Dover which was again an exhibition race they really haven't
I looked at the numbers he has not led a single lap this year at a non super speedway when you compare that to his teammate who's winning every other race for a while there like bubble Wallace needs to perform better but they also just need some luck I hate to chalk everything up to luck it's not all
luck you make your own luck to some degree but he has had some unusually bad luck the last few weeks and his his post race interview Sunday night.
He sounded pretty down on himself that sounded like the bubble Wallace of a couple years ago when he was you know missing the chase those years and I didn't like that what I heard so I hope he can turn things around starting this weekend.
I said this last week to the he's he's a gravitational pull to mid pack like 12th to 15th like he's a good driver but it doesn't matter if he starts out the season awesome.
And he's second in points after like five or six races.
He's going to fall the 15th or he's going to suck to start the year and then get on a hot streak into the summer I.
Every year I keep thinking like what's he going to do to get over the hump and he never really gets over to get like a win it's really cool like the brickyard last year really cool what else do you do last year you know like yeah it said wins before but what what else does he do in that time he just he kind of runs the same area like I think.
I think his high end is a ninth or 10th place points finish like that's probably the high point for Bubba at this point.
And I think I agree I guess after the start to this year and how fast all those cars were out of the 2311 shop I thought oh maybe this is the year we see something we never thought we'd see maybe I like I'm on record I said on this show I don't think bubble Wallace would ever be a real championship threat.
First 56 races of this year.
I was about to eat those words but sure enough kind of regressed back to the mean and and against not all him or all the teams some of it is just bad luck but.
You know, I mean maybe that's it maybe just Bubba they've taken all of red X bad luck because even Tyler Reddick took a huge hit this weekend smashed that outside wall.
I hope he's okay that was a huge it.
He still finished six that happened after the checkered flag didn't impact his points finished so yeah maybe Bubba just has all of red X bad luck maybe that'll change.
I'm rooting for him I hope he you know I think he will make the chase but I'm just worried that he keeps getting closer and closer to that cut line.
He's at least got you know rice coming up here this summer to the fending winner of the brick car 400.
Well in 2311 has been strong at Michigan so like if there's a get right race you'd think this should be it look at the top 10.
There's his teammate way up there Tyler Reddick.
Denny though minus 97 he now has a 77 point gap on Ryan Blaney making up points and we talked about last week if anyone was going to catch Reddick it'd be Denny.
Can't underestimate this year with this system how big of a deal it is to be within 100 of the lead honestly.
Yeah I mean with the wins to you pile up two or three wins and that makes up a ton of points still and he probably will this summer.
Yeah.
Crazy to me though that Blaney's held on to third I feel like we haven't really said his name in a month like he's you look at his results it's like seventh eighth 10 like he's still squeaking out decent results most weeks.
Quietly we haven't.
Yeah we haven't really talked about him yet he's holding on to third which you know come the fall time if he can if you can be third or fourth and that gap to the top two shortens a little bit you're in a decent spot.
Then you got that spire duo down in ninth and tenth still right under the Chris duo.
Wow.
Yeah.
So, you know, we went a little out of but one other thing to kind of go over when it comes this weekend and it's definitely I think it's definitely become more fodder of podcasts that have kind of put it out there more than I guess talk on Sunday.
But our NASCAR races too long so this was sort of put out there by Denny Hamlin Jeff Gluck Jordan Bianchi.
Gluck saying he's just too old to handle night races that go this late which rain delay.
Listen I was tired by the end of the night too I'm not going to say I wasn't.
I was at three o'clock in the morning doing my episode that night so but it's different for us because we were insane with Jeff like we're working in the media we're we work on Sundays and so it is different than the average fan who probably clicks off after you know 11pm whatever the race is it whenever the race ended 1130 Central.
Well, Bianchi brings up that he was upset it was past midnight and it should be 300 miles.
Denny posed the question of making Nashville 300 miles because some of the races go long here.
To me, I think this is over reactions of just like being tired and staying up late.
I mean it rained after the national anthem.
You can't help that part of that's another factor why it went past midnight.
And others brought up like a hard cut off for instance like the truck series has kind of made a thing with with like Atlanta and Charlotte of like time cutoffs I.
I just I think this could have been something we could have talked about more when they had more 500 mile races, you know and we were having four and a half hour odyssey's at Pocono and and Texas had to 500 mile races and.
I mean yeah be glad they started off this track of a 400 mile race they could have said we're going to run that the ally 500 when they first brought it back.
Yeah I mean I just I think that it's more or less just an over reaction because I looked at it because Denny was talking about four hours is too long and it's too long for anything and yada yada yada and I looked it up in the next gen era there have been seven races that went over four hours in 55 I think four and a half years five years whatever it is.
You know what tracks they were probably both by the 600 a couple times.
Yeah I think I have it written down on one of these pages but like yeah there was the 600 a few times the southern 500 went over the five overtime Nashville race, but the interesting part is three of them happened in 2022, two of them happened in 2023 and then one a year since then.
So it's not like we're having these extra long races that are going on more work by by the average we're actually shortening races when you look at like five year increments like the races are getting shorter.
One because we're shortening them 400 miles instead of 500 or you know like Martin's those 400 laps instead of 500 in the spring.
I mean if you want to shorten it up, either eliminate or shorten the stage cautions and the cautions in general, every caution at Nashville was seven to 10 laps.
And then you look back at races in the 2000s, like Michigan I think it was like Michigan in 2001 I want to say they had a caution was seven to go.
If we have a caution was seven to go, we're wondering if we're going to go to overtime.
They were back racing with three to go without stopping the cars.
Like they were and I think it was a crash that caused that last caution in that race so the cautions are going slower.
NASCAR has talked about it.
If we eliminate I mean I think we're in 25% of the race on Sunday under caution.
Yeah, so I generally agree with you I think I think some of site put this way I think Sunday night Nashville was a perfect storm like Danny said it was 90 minute weather delay it was already a late start.
At a 90 minute weather delay on top of it.
And then it was a lot of cautions and I'll give NASCAR some a little bit of a break here.
A lot of the cautions were for break rotors exploding a lot of heavy debris everywhere.
Trying to sweep that off the tracks home of it as we saw it ended up even in the stands like that stuff's dangerous you got to take your time to clean up and they still didn't get all of it because it sounds like Larson and priest ran over break rotor debris and that ended their races so I'll cut them some site there it was a perfect storm that made this Nashville race three to four.
Three hours and 44 minutes.
Still not even four hours.
It was long.
I'm with you.
It was late.
It wasn't the most pleasant at the end whatever.
But I agree that I think people are overreacting to this race now Nashville to Denny's point.
You mentioned it.
It does have a four hour race on its resume.
There have been a lot of cautions here.
I'm not advocating for an ally or a cracker barrel 300.
But I understand maybe Nashville is kind of a unique case.
Generally speaking my view has always been cup races should aim to be around two hours 40 minutes two hours 50 minutes in that two and a half to three hour range.
And I think NASCAR has made mostly the right decisions to get us there.
400 mile races getting rid of all the 500 mile Texas is in Poconos and all that stuff.
The stage cautions are a drag.
That's the first place we should look if we're looking to shorten races because they do drag on too much when there's no debris on the racetrack.
TV partners they just need to get more creative with their advertising with their commercial breaks the way other leagues have.
I looked this year I pulled up I was just interested to I Googled earlier today like the runtime if you will have a bunch of races this year.
And it's like Coda 248 Phoenix 308 Las Vegas three hours on the dot.
Darlington was 319 Texas two hours 56 Walkins Glen was two and a half hours.
Like for the most part we are in that two and a half to three hour range most weeks.
And I don't know until like has anyone complained up to this point that the races are too short.
I never hear that.
I know every now and then people say it's too long.
Okay.
I think I think the distances of just about every race are exactly right.
It's procedural things we can pick up the pace on stages that's the number one thing that I think can change and we'll get a lot of these races just under three hours which is where I believe they should be.
Well and the other part too is like you know you brought up with stage cautions and just cautions in general like that's that is the first place that we can look at and we don't even have to we can technically time wise shorten races but fans get more racing in.
And you know I look at and I know it's not a one to one but I look at like what baseball is done with the pitch clock and how I think the average baseball game now is like two hours 20 something minutes which is for me crazy because I can a little it's a little more than that but yes it is come down a lot.
It's like 240 something I think I thought I saw an average like Jake Finch I think put out that it was like lower than that this year they've been going faster this year but either way either way it's still they've shortened it but they haven't taken any baseball away from baseball fans it's not like they went to seven innings.
And that's what NASCAR drivers and media and this is why I think some of them when it comes to this issue are so out of touch with their fan with the fans like I understand and I was I was with like going from 500 to 400 miles I think it makes sense for a lot of these places.
But it just it's so out of touch to me with a lot of fans because the fans have lost so much on track time practices if we have them are way shorter and there's one of them qualifying is meant to be done as quick as possible now rather than how it was before we don't have as many weekends where all three series are there we've had we've been blessed through may to have a lot of triple header weekends but usually it's a lot of two series are there.
Sometimes they might even like combine the two lower series into one day which I'm okay with but I get people not liking that because I want to see more racing over more time we have less track time than ever.
Why would you want to take some more of that away you're taking you're basically taking less bang or more bang from your buck away from the weekend and then you want people to show up for less racing.
So let's let's just take a page out of baseball's book like I'll keep hammering with the stage cautions.
Do it does TV like okay.
Denny said TV needs the stage cautions but he didn't say how and maybe he said it in this podcast I will admit I didn't listen to it because I have stuff going on in my own life that I can't listen to five hours of podcast today.
But how how is it really benefiting TV all that much outside of just doing the same damn thing they did before where they just put commercials on screen that none of us are going to see because we're doing other shit like getting food taking a piss whatever.
I'm not seeing the benefit at this point.
Yeah. No I guess what I'm saying like to use your baseball reference they now will sneak in short 10 second ads during mound visits you know when there's nothing happening.
Hey let's sneak in and add right here. Clever. Nice. Didn't impact the viewing experience at all. TV NASCAR TVs needs to get more created but I'm with you.
I like the baseball comparison that with the pitch clock it sped up the pace of the game without taking any of the game away.
I like that. I think that's the number one place we can look to get again most of the races this year been right around three hours if we want to get them just under three hours short in the stage cautions boom and now we don't have this issue and the occasional race with 12 cautions and a bunch of break
occasionally a race is going to go three and a half hours that's going to happen from time to time it happens in baseball too.
Well we can be OK. We can live with the right the occasional long race like the crown jewels are going to be long but that's fine. That's tradition.
We can live with a handful of long races a year if the bulk of them are right around three hours.
Yeah.
Look at the ratings. We have actually two weekends worth of ratings because the Coke 600 ones came out on Thursday after we had our show last week so we're going to go through all of them.
Now I'm just going to go off of what Nielsen is using as its official number because I think we kind of all made fun of NASCAR a few weeks ago when they're like we're not using big data because it doesn't work well for us is basically what they did.
So I'm just going to go off of what Nielsen officially has which is actually working out well for NASCAR now because they're on a platform that doesn't cater to the you know 70 and up crowd.
The Coke 600 scored 3.06 million viewers up 12% over the 2025 race peaking at 3.73 million viewers up 15% from that same race.
All demographics under the age of 55 were up double digits from linear TV.
The pre race had 1.41 million viewers the post race which was like it one in the morning had 1.12 million both records for prime and it was virtually flat with Fox's last 600.
This race with 3.06 million viewers that one with 3.1 million viewers so about 40,000 viewer difference kind of a negligible difference.
All things considered.
Nashville scored 2.01 million viewers down 3% year over year even adding in the fact that they had a 90 minute delay which we've seen in the past really does hurt NASCAR viewership.
So strong numbers there it peaked at 2.32 million viewers which is up 5% from last year's peak at Nashville.
So I don't think it's going too far off a limb to say they probably would have had an increase for the second week in a row if we don't have a long ass rain delay that pushes it into the night.
As for the O'Reilly series Charlotte scored 945,000 viewers peaking at 1.44 million viewers at the starting of that race.
Technically the streak of races that at least at some point hit a million viewers is continuing but the streak averaging over a million has ended.
The Nashville race scored 1.123 million viewers a 14% increase year over year.
I think you can probably attribute some of that to the Colletus effect.
Peaking at 1.335 million at the finish and it was the 16th race in a row that at some point they got over 1 million people watching an O'Reilly series race which I think I saw somewhere was the first time since like 2014 that's happened.
Which that was a whole different era with NASCAR.
That's when you had all of those races on ESPN every week which was way bigger at the time.
As for the poll, I asked you what you thought of the Cracker Barrel, 467% of the 10,000 voters, 2 thirds of people said this was a great race.
25% a quarter said it was good so 92% net positivity from there.
You had 5% average, 3% negative.
Looking at some of the numbers with that, it was the top rated Nashville race of the 6th run in cup that we pulled.
It was second of 2026 races only beat by Atlanta and it was the 25th race ever pulled out of the think 273 that have had 90% or higher net positivity.
It's a pretty good there.
Tied for 9th all time for the poll.
It's tied with the, let's see, both Talladega races in 2019 and the first 2020 Talladega race, the 600 last year, Atlanta in their spring race last year and the 2024 Coke 0400.
So overall this race kicks a mass.
Looking at the comments, the first comment was from Shugsby Meows, positive, negative or meme.
Shugsby Meows.
Wow, this has to be a meme.
Hello, Napcar Weekly Podcast.
I haven't commented in a few years.
My dad found my secret digital box screen and now changed the password.
But I found the new password and a dream I had during the race when I was sleeping.
It was revealed to me in a dream.
Sounds like a meme to me.
I've been on a roll.
I think I've gotten the last three or four of these right.
SBG was the top comment saying Denny said, nah, I'll give them a chance at the start.
The Giz Bergenner said I was really hoping for a Zane Smith win, but this race was absolutely incredible.
I mean, I don't ever get Zane Smith wins per say, but yeah.
That probably would have finished fourth or fifth if that stayed green.
That mudkip says Nashville is certainly earning its spot on the calendar.
That's for sure.
Sherry says great race, but heartbreak again as a bell fan.
And Michael says seven plus 11 equals 18.
The last two cup winners.
I noticed that that was a, and I think.
I don't, I wouldn't count, I wouldn't count on it happening, but someone said if Austin Hill could somehow win the 33, wouldn't be nice to see that team win three weeks later, but also that would equal 51.
I think they're doing an all black scheme too.
This week in honor of Kyle, the gutter comment was from Bumblebee 48.
We said anyone saying negative is literally on drugs.
I guess all the drug addicts downvoted that kind of thing.
Let's go to the other two races.
There were maybe not as many big things to talk about with the O'Reilly race, but we had a hell of a finish between Justin Allgaier and Brent Cruz at the end of that race.
The 18 year old basically pulling out all the stops against Justin Allgaier, even bumping nearly run on him towards the end.
What are our takeaways both from Justin Allgaier just being on an absolute heater this year, but also Brent Cruz taking it to win.
I love it. I love to see, I mean, Justin Allgaier is having an amazing year.
Four wins. He's leading most of the major stat categories.
What's his points lead? I know we'll look at in a second. Is it 200 or something ridiculous?
Oh, I got it.
179.
Proving why similar to how Denny is in Cup right now, he is the standard of the series.
He has a nearly 200 point lead. I guess he's been amazing.
So I'll do credit to Allgaier, but it was cool to see a kid less than half Allgaier's age not backing down.
He was racing really hard, raced him fair, I thought, and then just didn't have it there on that long run.
We got to see the standard in Allgaier versus the future in Cruz.
I don't know how it felt. I mean, Cruz went to school right there from one of the best in the series.
And then before that, Jesse Love, I know he's second in points.
You know, his season looks good when you look at it from that perspective, but he was maybe the guy in position.
He had a great battle with Allgaier earlier in the day.
Felt like maybe this was Jesse Love's race to lose until they did lose it with wheel issues.
So that was, I know he was really disappointed. I have another opportunity to win slip away from the end there.
But those are two young guys that know, you know, Jesse loves 22, 23, I think maybe 20, I think he's 22.
Cruz is 18, so he's a little younger even, but those are two young guys who both have very bright futures.
And it was fun to see them battling Allgaier like, you know, crossover slingshots up and under.
Like they were every move in the book they were throwing at each other.
It was really fun to watch. But congrats to Allgaier.
Yeah, I mean, that's what is he, and I think is what, soul possession of what?
Sixth all time, I want to say.
That sounds about right.
Let me check, but yes, it is six. I've seen that it is six.
So he's now six wins away from fifth place Carl Edwards and seven wins away from Brad Kazalowski.
So I saw the video after the prime post-trace show ended up Dale Jr. signing all the autographs and stuff.
And somebody brought up and said like, you know, hey, like you got to get Justin back.
And like, granted, it was kind of like, you know, just like, oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
But he was like, yeah, I think we've convinced him to come back one more year.
I think he hits fourth all time by the time he retires.
I mean, this is the earliest he's gotten to this many wins, plenty of season remaining.
Plus you have all the cup guys being taken out of the equation once the chase starts on top of another season.
I think he can get to the 40 mark, which would then put him in a category with Mark Martin and Kevin Harvick as the only and Kyle Bush, obviously, but he's just in his own league.
But Mark Martin and Kevin Harvick of 40 plus wins in the O'Reilly series, which I think he absolutely could do it.
And I'm going to say something. I hope people don't get mad at me.
This is the weakest the O'Reilly series field has been in a long, long time.
Put the points up. Show the top 10 in points.
If you have experience, you're having a good season.
Like the top six are old guys and then Jesse Love, Corey Day, who we both think are cup prospects.
Like, look, it's the old guy. Jesse Love is defending champion.
He's really good talent at Corey Day.
He's been a standout this year because he is so young and inexperienced.
He's going to be special.
And then Sheldon Creed, Brandon Jones, Austin Hill, the old guys of the O'Reilly series, if you will.
Like, I mean, we've talked about it.
Guys like Nick Sanchez, who were winners last season, lost their rides to a guy who's 22nd in points right now.
Like there's just, I think the top five or six really, really talented.
I mean, I think Carson Cuapo and Sammy Smith have talent, but they're not, I'm not convinced, at least Sammy Smith.
I'm not convinced he's special at this point.
Cuapo maybe would be higher in points if he was in the one car full time or whatever, but he's had to split some time.
Like there's good drivers. I'm not trying to put everyone on blast, but I'm just saying a lot of the top rides have gone to young guys who are really inexperienced.
Like even Brent Cruz, he's special, but he just turned 18 years old.
Like he's, he's going to win races, but he's not there yet because he's so inexperienced.
So I mean, just man, the getting has been good for guys like all guy who have so much more experience than these kids who are also in a really great car.
No Connor Zillich this year to gobble up all the trophies.
Like I'm with you.
I think all guy is going to win a lot of races the next two years if he keeps racing.
I put it like this as good as all guy is. I got curious, like if he won an average of let's just say eight races a year puts it in perspective how good Kyle Busch was in the series.
If he wanted to tie Kyle Busch with record, if he won eight races a year, it would take him about nine full seasons until he was 49 years old.
Just tie record.
Oh my God.
Well, and bringing up these points too, I'm kind of wish I could send another league.
I mean, that's just absolutely crazy.
Like that's asking a man to win an average of eight races a year just to come close to that for nine seasons.
That's like an impossible task even for him as good as he is.
So, you know, talking about how the field is, how all guy is still pretty set up to do really damn well the next year and a half, maybe more that he runs.
I think that's all but, you know, shows in every single way how disappointing the season has been for Austin Hill and Brandon Jones.
Both of these two have great opportunities to snag up some wins in what we think is good equipment, great equipment.
And, you know, you're looking at that.
I believe a winless season for Brandon Jones and one win for Austin Hill.
And then Sheldon Creed, he has one win so far and that happened early in the season.
Jesse Love, winless.
That's hard to believe.
I have my point sheet up on my end and I'm just looking at a goose egg for Jesse Love.
I mean, this disappointing season so far and that that respect for them, but look at the cut line.
It's both getting closer and also whittling down at the same time.
So, looking at this, I still think Brent Cruz gets in.
But Ryan Seig is just sticking around.
Like he is not going away.
Yeah, I don't feel like that car has been quite as good as it's been the last couple of years.
No, I feel like for a while we were seeing him top 10 most weeks.
That's not as common now.
Maybe he's just making, I feel like he's been in some incidents.
Maybe that's costing him some points.
Yeah, I feel like this is a, I think this is going to be a huge kerfuffle, the final eight or 10.
However many races are left.
Like I think I like the three guys above the cut line.
I also like the three guys below it.
I think Rajah is in a tough spot because he's obviously going to split time between a top five car and then a 15th place car.
So that's how's that going to shake out?
That's a big question mark.
Brent Cruz is probably going to get in.
I don't trust Sam Mayer to keep it clean.
You know, Sam just feels like whether it's his fault or not, he's always on, he feels like he's in the infield care center as much as he's, you know, on 40 and Fs.
Yeah, he's 40 and Fs us here.
Yeah, that's, that's pretty high.
So I don't, he's got speed though.
That's the thing that difference is he does have a, I think he's got maybe the most speed of anyone on this list besides Brent Cruz.
So I don't know.
That's the point.
You can see how it plays out.
Crazy to talk about.
And by the way, this coming week is the first off weekend all year for this series.
Yeah, they've been go, go, go.
It has been a gauntlet for a lot of drivers who have never had the race as much in their careers.
So it was a shame that we don't see this series at Michigan, but I know I agree.
We have a break.
They need a break sometime.
Yeah.
So Sam Mayer and Taylor Gray, both 11th and 12th on the cut line, plus 12 for Gray, plus 26 for Mayor, four DNFs apiece, Raja Brent Cruz and Ryan Sieg combined have three DNFs this year.
Like if these two can just get their act together and stay on the racetrack, they're in.
Agree.
I mean, if their cars should be good enough, like a Haas 41 and a JGR 54 should, you should be able to make the chase with your eyes closed.
But those are young drivers still mayors prone to mistakes.
I mean, Charlotte a couple of weeks ago running forth and just snaps loose.
They had a, I remember watching on camera.
I went, oh, I was the Leonardo da Capri.
I was like, oh, there he goes.
So he just, he does that sometimes unfortunately.
And it just got to keep it clean.
He's got the speed for sure.
Yeah.
Finishing out the weekend with the first race weekend.
We're not going to talk Cletus.
We're just going to gloss over Cletus McFarland.
But was he not on that graphic?
No, unfortunately he was not.
It's a conspiracy by the door bumper, clear people that hate him apparently and us because we said something like four scores and seven years ago that wasn't positive.
Well, I think, I think all, all we've really ever said that I guess is negative about Cletus.
He's a great arca driver.
We've seen it at this point.
He's proven he holds his own against Arca, which is great.
He's such a little stock car experience.
He should be an arca and the fact that he's as good an arca as he is this soon shows how much talent he has, but jumping from Arca to O'Reilly, especially at tracks like Rockingham and Nashville.
I don't care how much natural ability you got.
I don't care how good your car is.
If you don't have stock car racing experience, you're going to be overmatched in those races.
And he looked overmatched once again this weekend.
Like I'm glad he didn't wreck anyone.
I'm glad he kept the car clean.
Ran almost all the laps got good experience, but I'm going to a couple more spins, pit road issues.
Like he's, he's learning and that's great, but God, I'd like to see him do more of his learning and arca and trucks before he's O'Reilly cars.
As long as we're talking about him right now, we'll give him his flowers.
I'm glad he's racing in a truck series race this weekend.
Yeah, it's probably more appropriate to be getting the seat time right now.
I agree.
But at the same time, I do have to say this.
Why are we having him give the command to start engine?
This is something you do for drivers who are in their retirement tours.
Maybe he's retiring.
Oh God, maybe.
Cletus retired.
You heard it here on NWP first.
Oh no, I hope not.
Maybe they, yeah, I don't know.
We can talk about expensive arca racing is instead of, I mean, we can talk about Cletus.
We can have two options.
We can either talk about them for like two minutes and then put them in the thumbnail like it's a dirty mo podcast or we can start amp, A. M. P. The Arca Monthly podcast because there's no way we can weekly talk about Arca.
Those are our options.
We could try.
Did you put them in the thumbnail?
Did you put them in the thumbnail for the stream?
I will workshop that afterwards.
I will put him just right in the center.
You didn't put, yeah.
What are you doing?
You're on YouTube.
You got to put his face front and center, cover Denny's face.
There was something else in the center that caught a lot of people's eyes and on Twitter.
What am I missing?
What's that reference to?
Was Cletus on Twitter?
Are we talking about the Chase Elliott deal?
No, just a picture that was online with Cletus that was Photoshopped in.
There was something else that was front and center that people saw.
Oh, I didn't see that.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
That's all we'll leave it as.
No, I know what you're talking about.
Very in the dark.
You all have to fill me in after the show unless, okay, we can move on, I guess.
Fill in for sure.
So truck race.
Lane rigs.
Lane rigs.
Lane rigs had a great comeback at the end of the truck race.
No one saw it.
Apparently.
I want to say what's going on, man.
I'm so chronically online.
I have no clue what's going on.
I'm so lost.
I can't believe I don't get it.
I'd see Peter in the chat.
I think it started as a little inside joke with me, Danny and Peter.
And it's since there was, where was the way people in the comment section that.
I love an inside joke would love to be a part of one someday.
Be aware of your surroundings.
So lane rigs had a great comeback.
Great duel with Roger Caruth and Chandler Smith at the end of the, the trucks.
I believe both passes for the wins in trucks and cup cleared on the last lap.
And we're almost three wide or three wide heading into one and two.
Absolutely amazing.
How fast that truck was.
I think I want to say he was the only one when, because he got the fast lap.
He was, he got max points, 76 points.
He was the only one in his second bracket when it came to fast laps that anyone ran.
I think like he ran like a 27 something and everyone else had like 28 and 29 second laps.
Damn.
He was insane.
Yeah.
Well, it was a great day.
Well, it was weird cause he was dominant out front and then he got shuffled back with strategy or whatever.
And then it was like bad on like the second to last run.
He was like stuck in like a 10 place couldn't go forward.
Even when things got strung out, he couldn't go forward.
I think he said afterwards he thought maybe there's just a bad set of tires.
He don't know what happened, but they made the right adjustment, got the right set of tires on it at the end and he put on a show credit to Roger though.
Like he's been so good at Nashville.
He's won that race before was in the mix once again this time and he raced lane.
As hard as he could.
He obviously didn't have the truck lane had.
He raced him as hard as he could made it as difficult on Lane as he possibly could without being dirty without wrecking them both potentially.
It was a great battle.
Congrats to Lane.
He was my pick.
So I was happy to see that.
Good stuff.
I'll ask you guys this to close out on trucks.
Since this is really it was the Lane show outside of Roger being up there.
Does Lane rigs follow the same path that Corey Heim and Carson host of our followed kick and ass and trucks moves up to cup because you know there's been talk about that number four seat maybe opening up with Lane rigs be the best option to put in that car.
I mean, he's I think he's the best Ford prospect right now.
He's like the only one in there.
I mean, I'm
I don't I'm not sure I see a
Not even sure if I see a cup path for him kind of like Ben Rhodes
You know like Ben Rhodes been there forever and Ben still kind of younger, but we have not seen him taking any
Steps to get out of that series
I figures fun question though. He has taken over the points lead by the way 37 over Caden honey cut
So we'll let those pop down the bottom
Well, we've reached the end of the weekend. Let's go to the first super chat stage break while that's going on
There were a couple from before that we can look at here couple from Bailey Riker
Says I know we'll get to it, but honestly it sucks. Herps is about to lose his ride considering
He's improving so much this year. He's one race away from jumping the 24th in points
Which from 35th to maybe 24th is a great jump
He has definitely gotten better this year. I just I don't know if he's gonna, you know go from
27th get past Chastain Gill and Dylan maybe Stenhouse someone in that range
It's a lot of better
He's gotten better, but also his cars are better this year. So that's some of it
I think if he does go to legacy as the report suggests
That's a team that's more on schedule on the same schedule as a developing driver like Riley Herp
So I think that would be good for him
Also says junior also wondering why the one in 88 essentially suck
It definitely doesn't have anything to do with the drivers constantly changing
definitely not
Rodney Childers has lost his touch confirmed
And the best Metallica fan says after hearing Dale junior download with Morgan Shepherd
Do you think we'll ever see a full-time person in any series that will race full-time in their 60s?
again
It's I mean that age has gone down so much. Yeah, I don't know if we ever do
I think at this point if we could see like Ghana racing was 50s considering he started 18
That would be a very long cut series career
Honestly 50s is probably
Like that's probably the high mark you're gonna have to hit at this point
I mean it was it was incredible when Mark Martin was still driving his 50s competitively and that was yeah, 15 years ago
Like so put it perspective on like Ghana if he could race to 48
That's 30 years in cup
Jesus
I feel like truck somebody could do it. I feel like I mean how many races does norm run a year?
Like he's like he or I thought it was more like 12. Okay. I thought he was around close to half the sked
I guess I don't know. I'm not as big a norm fan as the iceberg over here. No, yeah, I don't know it's unlikely
See Nick Foley with the next one
Heading out to my home track in the morning. Let's go 77 and 12. I have a great time. Have a great time
Of course the year I get homestead tickets is the year Byron struggles
I'm sure there's a couple people that are feeling that this year. It's a long way to go
Hey Eric you mentioned you were mentioned on twisted toes
2026 dover all-star race reaction video apparently you fielded a NASCAR car as an African-american
What?
What I'm unaware of the joke, but uh
Okay, I mean I saw you made it you're getting your cards burned now on social media
Dude, I love it. I saw somebody be like if you find a nice Berg one burn it and all I'm thinking is
No, put it on ice. I
I was thinking this man. I'll print it out on computer paper and let you burn it if it makes it feel good
You actually got a simple check about that on ice
Let's see get to go to two races when three weeks
Pocono in Chicago hell. Yeah
Wish I was in the fantasy league because I'd be killing it ranked 46th overall like overall overall
You'd probably be winning
Yeah, I
Would never burn an ear Eric you step on a graph card. I see Bafa
Neither would I oh my you got one
I got one
This is what I told you I want to show you on a stream to get your reaction. Oh my God card. Did you find it on eBay? So
Wimmer 33 fan Isaac Isaac J. Cole. I've seen him post about this. He was the very first person ever saw
He was not a fan. He was not didn't seem like he was a fan of
Well, I don't know he wasn't mad of some people I saw but I asked him
Hey, can you send me to a bailing this? You know, he's good friends of a he knows a good of you
I said I want to buy this thing. So the person wanted
20 I offered them the appropriate
$17 for it
Love it damn. All right, so we now know officially for we know at least one
Eric you step sign card has sold for $17. That's the new mark. I don't know not that much about trading card currency
That seems like a party. I'm not much value cards and stuff. But come on. I gotta get one for my boy Eric here
You have one more of those that I have
Tell us the backstory on this. Did you not know that they were made? I'm kind of confused
Honestly, I was very in the dark. So I was I don't know. It was like a year ago
The folks I work with were in contact with Panini and somehow the idea came up of like, hey
What if we did like a limited run of Eric could trading cards and I'm like, I don't have a ton of I don't like actively collect NASCAR cards
I have some that people give me or I had as a kid, but I was like that that sounds cool
I didn't know the extent of it. I didn't know what if it would be put into the collection
Or if we make like just very select few and I could like we could do a thing with that
I don't really know and it's on me because I did a bad job communicating throughout the process
But they sent me some of the stickers to sign so I signed them
This is like nine or ten months ago and I didn't hear anything for a long time
I reached out to the people I work with like, hey, have you all heard anything or nah?
But hey when they like come up with a design, we'll send it your way and you can check it out
I'm like, cool. Never heard anything never heard, you know
And then I
I think I saw one like someone sent me like, hey, I pulled this it was like an instagram DM
Someone's like, hey, I pulled this one
They're out
Versions of it too. I looked on a bait. I found one was like a hauling like a holographic version too
Yeah, so I I and that's when I finally like called people. I was like, hey, so like I guess they're out and they're like, oh, yeah
Yeah, they are and I'm sorry
It was on me for not being super like communicative, but also people didn't communicate with me either
It's not
There's a go between there that we lost touch on but either way I was like, oh cool. They're out but also
Okay, like I don't know how many there are. I don't know where to find them
I'm kind of the people who were like overreacting and getting mad about it because it's like
What are you just don't don't buy it if you don't want it, you know
Well, I mean, I get you buy a pack coming in packs. Yeah, you're hoping to pull
I mean sure is assigned Eric
Not like you get a whole a whole slave of Eric. He's stepping it's that would be fun. Yes, although
That would be the ultimate troll job. I get like I get I knew when we did it
I'm like, hey, if these go out in random packs, they're gonna be some people who aren't happy
They'd rather get there obviously hoping to get like a sign Kyle Larson or Shane vangy
Like I get that but those are so rare and I have gotten cards that are like
You know a part-time arca driver autograph. I'm like, okay. All right. Come on. I've gotten some pretty
I would say pretty weak pretty out there pretty like who
Signature I've seen some pretty wild ones. I'm like
I was I was hopeful that enough fans of the show would find the card and be like, whoa, like what are they?
That's crazy. That's so different never expected it. Um, but yeah, some people obviously aren't happy to get a non-driver in their collection
I totally understand that and and I apologize to those folks, but you just saw here
They officially are going for at least 17 dollars. So if you're not a big fan of uh, of the card you pulled
Hopefully you can get a few bucks off of it and make a profit. So I might have even overpride. I don't know but I
I felt I
You've set you have set the market
You have set the market at 17 dollars for whatever addition that I have the
Shout out to you like out of the groove like museum in my house anyways because I've got I've got the podcast party of a sheet metal
I've got the sheet metal from eric's first race. He ever has logo on so now I've got this bad boy
I love it. Well, I appreciate you doing that. Danny. That's a fun show intel and yeah, if you are a fan of the show
Panini it's the dawn rust collection. You might pull. I don't I signed a good number of those wasn't I don't know how many it was
I can't remember now, but it was
At least a few hundred of those things. So there's a good chunk of them out there. I suppose but uh, anyway, yeah, thanks, Danny
Uh, let's do four more by the way. Yeah, we knew a few off. Sorry. I had to include that one there
I was earlier, but I saw that super chat like honest purple. I didn't exist. I did not expect that perfect
Uh, go into michigan sunday so excited anyone know how early I should get there friday to get a wristband to meet chase
Ali I probably as early as possible. I don't I've never had to do the wristbands
Definitely do as early as possible. I actually have a neighbor who lives around a corner for me
And I was talking to them at nashville on friday and they said that the only way they got a chance to get the wristband to get
His autograph on sunday was by being there to track pretty early on friday
So definitely get there as early as you possibly can
Wow
You knew the xfinity race was over before the race started when that nascim showed up on saturdays
Yeah, they just do that
Let's see quit try and shorten the races
philip is spoken
okay
Then we'll end on this one majority of races being 400 or so is perfect. I would I would honestly would agree
I think we've hit a really good. Yeah middle ground on it all
All right, well guys
You'll hear anything I think we have some side effects from uh from this past weekend weather wise because a little pop-up shower the lightning
or
Looking at a couple of these here, of course we have the nwp channel
It is linked down below with all of our channels
So, you know, you'll like us subscribe
If you want if you want to subscribe so that you can let somebody know you burn their trading card
The links are down there to subscribe
um
nwp 400 we still have of course all of these different openings for sponsorships and such
Just email us at weekly podcast guests at gmail.com for more info
I said somebody ask like can I send in a sign in sign in and sign ups will go up
Some time in early to mid july I would think we'll we'll get back to you on that
Probably in about a week or two on that just to let everybody know
Uh fan duel will not be getting back to people when it comes to paying their customers
Who correctly bet svg to get a top five though?
They claimed that
They claimed that it's due to svg being listed seventh the moment the race ended and that quote-unquote chase elliot failed post race inspection
Uh, and that's why he was moved down not because nascar just corrected the finishing order of the race
I do believe I thought I saw today that they have started to correct that like they did they did
Eventually, I'm sure enough people raised to stink about it that they was like, oh, yeah
We I guess we don't want lawyers involved. Let's uh, let's honor our end of the agreement
I I believe people can correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe they did eventually correct that
On and kevin magnuson will be the project 91 driver at san diego
So that should be pretty exciting
Second f1 driver xf1 driver to be in that 91 car. So that's kind of cool
The next week june 10th, wednesday night apm eastern time will be on danie's channel. So just letting y'all know that
in
Advance and with that
The lightning around is over
See, not quicker than when it came to uh
To the lightning over the weekend as for the headlines. Let's start with silly season. Cory. Hyme. It is
Finally hyme time
Will be in the number 35. Maybe number 67. We I don't know if they'll change or not
2311 cup car next year full time replacing riley herbst
What are our expectations for cori hyme next year?
Oh, I heard denny say he thinks uh hyme can make the chase year one and I think he certainly
Bricks on that. I'm not gonna put that on him. I wouldn't put that pressure on him
I wouldn't say if he makes misses the chase, it's a failure. I wouldn't yeah, I wouldn't put that pressure on but I
Think it's doable as good as ty gives looked coming out of xfinity into cup as good as connor zillish looked coming out of xfinity into cup
I don't want to come anywhere close to putting
This much pressure on cori hyme now to his credit
He's ran a lot of cup races for a guy who's not full time in cup
And I think that's a good thing the only other guy I think I can think of that started to run a good amount of cup before being full
time in cup
in recent history would be
Austin synderic
Um ty gives did too. Remember he filled in for kurt busch for a decent show
That was kind of some unfortunate, you know circumstance put on him but
um hyme I think has at least been more intentionally put there for a little bit
but
I'm not gonna be like
Make the chase buddy or we're gonna go grab rally harvest monster money again. We're not gonna do that to him
No, I don't think I think the goal. I think it's a goal, but I don't think if he doesn't get it
It's like oh, what a butt because yeah, you're right ty gives his first year
I think was 18th in points and missed the chase so I and it took him till year four to finally win a race
And he's at a main joe gibbs racing in the main joe gibbs racing car, but I think kori hyme I
I'm not saying I'd pick him to make the chase when it comes down to it
And I have to pick between like him and chris busher or him and shamed a
I'd probably go with the guys who've been there before but
Him and ryan priest who do you pick?
I'd pick kori hyme
And that's I you know, I like priest a lot, but I think those cars the 2311 cars are a little better
And I think hyme has a lot of upside. I mean just in his handful of cup starts
He's had some low lights like when he failed to qualify for chicago that year. That was a mess up. I mean he
You know wrecked uh gillland that looked like misjudged turn one wreck gill in this weekend like that was him
He's had some mess ups
But he's also had some really impressive highlights for being in a fourth part-time car
60 laps led at texas
Sixth in the bristol night race last year was running top five
in this race on pure speed like
I don't know. I think you'll be in the chase conversation year one
You gotta you gotta remember too like denny brought up that this is an experimental team like they're experimenting with setups
experimenting with pit crew members and and behind the wall members
Doing different strategies because it doesn't matter points. Don't you know, let's go for wins. Let's go. Let's just do crazy stuff
um
He's gonna have a better team around him next year
I I think the expectation should be chase caliber top 20 and points be in the conversation
Uh, if he doesn't make it, it's not a failure by any means. I I would actually think it's probably more likely
he doesn't make it but if he's
17th 18th 19th in the point standings as a rookie. I think people forget like that is
good for a rookie like
the
Last couple years. We've seen really good drivers come in
And run low 20s and 30s like connor zillich, but he has way better equipment
He has a way better just
Surrounding to him. So yeah, I I'm expecting chase caliber
I think my one question now for hyme is who is the crew chief because this uh davis rostevo
Is also a rookie crew chief like he came into the cup series with riley herps
I think they worked together in the o'reilly series his last year or two. So
I don't know is he really that good does the team believe in him?
Is this going to be like they upend that whole team?
Do they bring in someone else to the 35 like I want to see how the rest of the 35 take shape around him
Um, but yeah, I assume he will be in that 35 car. Well, they said 35
Um, yeah, there's a chance. You don't know if rebrand is I don't know
But uh, either way. Yeah, I just I want to know who the crew chief and everyone else is but yeah
But I agree with you jen I think top 20 is the goal
Top 16 is not out of the question
My my my one question is you know, you talk about that 35 right now or it is being an experimental car
And you know, I'm sure riley is the biggest favorite to go to like a third legacy car. I think that's you know, but
I haven't rolled this out either
You know, originally before, you know, the lawsuit stuff was settled. I think, you know, they were pretty well intent on running
You know running his open cars
If
You know if herpes brings enough funding
Why not run him? It's just another open car if they've got enough funding and be so be experimenting for the team
That's what roush is talking about doing for our i'm not i'm not saying that that couldn't happen either
You know riley could stay with the team and still just be an open car
I mean it's heavily been implied though. I think you will be going to legacy. We said I I guess
But then the wonders love push to you
That's what i'm saying legacy might want to don't just jump on the
11 loaded gun right there when they could maybe
Work some things out
Right, I mean, well, we'll see that's for sure. Um
Looking at some of the other possible headlines going more into reckless speculation with a heavy amount of
weight behind it
And that comes with early reports are that the chicago street race in 2027
If it's on the schedule, it's more than likely it will be would be held more than likely in early june
Uh
Now I know a lot of people were saying the week after the coke 600 it'd be perfect. I've been saying that
If i'm not mistaken though
the first weekend after the coke 600 is still in may next year and
With that I actually have the calendar on my end so I can just pull it up
I'm pulling it up. Um, if we're gonna move nashville out of its current spot. I really like it being a chase race
That's just me. So next year next year. Uh, actually the last weekend of may is is still the 600
So that's the same weekend as the concert that's going on that that they talked about that festival
The it would definitely be a tough turnaround if they can't set anything up
Then there's definitely no turnaround, but I think it would be the smart move. I talked about it for a couple weeks
I think now that
Having two giant marquis events back to back
With prime would probably be a great way to bring more people in the nascar side if they can't though
I would think father's day would probably be a good way to go about it
You still have enough time to tear everything down before the fourth of july and
And not having too many issues with that
But what what are we thinking of of chicago more than likely moving back?
And also being a prime race
I mean, I love your idea if it was possible to do it back to back with uh
With the coke 600. I think that would be great
But I think more realistically it is I mean, I've always viewed you ever since it first was reported that chicago is likely to come back to the schedule next year
It always made sense for it to be the the one to one
San Diego replacement. It's the now that street race has gone
Chicago street race comes back
San Diego is father's day weekend this year
Maybe plug chicago into that weekend or one of the adjacent weekends and that seems like that's what they're probably going to do
It sounds like that's the best balance for the city for amazon prime
So i'm cool with it. I think a mid june
I mean, I'd love early june. I'd love even late may if they can back to back it with charlotte. That'd be awesome
But if it's a mid june
Chicago race I hear chicago is lovely in mid june. So that's pretty good. Sounds good to me weather
Wonder what what would we do for july 4th?
Because i'm not sure if they would go to chicago land that much sooner
Probably I mean
I doubt chicago if they get it back on I doubt chicago lands on the schedule. I mean most of our
July and national work. I mean
Maybe I mean I think
I mean, I believe the 4th of july is on a sunday, which i'm sorry if they put it on a sunday
Especially sunday night next year. That is the dumbest possible plan that nascar and the networks could have
Saturday night race kind of like these
Atlanta ideas for july 4th. So yeah, I would say I think
There's two things that really need to be kind of considered to do it both attendance wise and also tv wise one
We need good racing
Chicago land. I think I'll have good racing. I think it covers that part
The attendance part definitely is is iffy so far and I think the reason attendance is iffy is
There's nothing really that great to do that's in the vicinity of the racetrack
Nashville you're like 20 minutes outside of the city. There's plenty of stuff to do
You have that awesome firework show. Nashville has every year. Nashville could work
or
Uh, Atlanta, you're near, you know the city of Atlanta. There's plenty of stuff to do great racing
I I would love the Atlanta idea. You can have Saturday night Atlanta. Maybe
Saturday night it well because you only have to do Saturday night one year because then the fourth will move off a sunday to another day
Yeah, so you get you get kind of that nostalgic feel of the super speedway racing
We've always compared it to old Daytona and a lot of people's jobs might include it
Like I get july 4th off
But since it is it since it when it does fall on a sunday like that
We observe it on the monday after so a lot of people's jobs would work the same way that you would get
That monday after july 4th off
That'd be great. That would actually be really great. I mean if you do it on a saturday too
You get and that would give you probably
Then two days if rain is an issue that fans wouldn't have to feel pressured to leave either. Yeah
So I mean i'm
I I would like both those ideas
What would suck is that nashville because I wasn't able to go this year, but I like i'm wanting to next year
What would suck is I would be visiting family up in illinois
When the fourth of july is if they move nashville to that weekend
You know, you know, it's you know, it would be a wild one now. It wouldn't fit with stuff to do around it
But it would be kind of a marquis event
Um, you know because there's been talk of moving this date
You could probably move back to august
But what if you move the Bristol night race to your fourth of july race and that's your marquis event
saturday night in the summer
Doesn't you know, you could you move it to a sunday if it's the fourth of july
I know it's kind of heresy for those wanting it later in the year, but
That would be kind of a crazy idea
Major firework show as soon as the race is over. I mean they do it at the start
They have the fireworks around it. You could just do it both of them. That would be awesome
I don't hate that. I'm sure there's a logistical reason it can't happen
The whole Bristol needs to not be there in tennessee football season for east tennessee sake. I know that
Yeah, I've said that as much too like it just because there is such a huge overlap both on tv viewership and the local area that props that race up
If nashville was in the chase instead of Bristol
would be better because
I mean, I know they had a good year last year. Most people ain't ain't too worried about going to a vanderbump football game
so for those uh wondering about Daytona the city
Of Daytona beach has basically said they don't want nascar that weekend
They'd rather focus on other forms of tourism and then have an august date that they can build up
Her tourism as well. So that trying to double dip on the summer tourism season. That's what they that's what they want
And it's probably not nascar's best interest even though they probably own the city council and city members
in a lot of ways it probably is not in their best interest to
Piss off the locals more than they have to
um
No, but
I i'm i'm i am so interested in the direction the schedule is going to go because I do think there's a lot of interesting changes
That could and will be made
Let's have some fun guys. Let's uh, let's let's go into our predictions segment
so
We have some interesting ones coming off the board
uh
With our predictions we'll make two nascar motorsports or show related predictions
We play fast and loose with all those rules. So we'll have a lot of fun with that
We'll keep track of them each week in our accountability session
We're about to jump into and we'll try and keep them concise, but again, we play fast and loose with all of that
eric
One for two said a trackhouse driver had finished top five at nashville. I got asked. Did you think it was going to be shane or ross?
I would have said ross. I'll take shame
Yes, said rasha caruth and jesse love would both finish top five in the nashville truck race
Jesse well, he had an issue. What did he run in to have some sort of problem?
I think so. I don't I don't remember now. Dang it. I
Won one for two. I was announced
About as a counter hella buck. I think it is it's going to be the grand marshal this weekend
So I said one of and or multiple of the united states olympians elissa lu jack hughes or counter hella buck will
Be attending a nascar race by the end of 2026 and one of the latter two is going to be at the track this weekend
I said brankers would be top seven and or rylie points by june
um
He's not
Couple of minutes chase. Yeah, he's not even the chase
Uh loose wheel by the way for jesse. It's uh, what they're saying
Yeah, I can't I something like that
And danny one for one said the sandiego street course layout would change two or more times before the racers have changed
A few weeks maybe months ago at this point and then they added a chicane
In before the finish line in the last one. I don't know why I said that would when I like it
Yeah, it was your oldest one still on the board
so
Looking at our standings. Eric still leads 57.14 percent. I'm at 56.25 percent on the year
So pretty close up top danny at 31.03 on the year all time. I lead at 39
39.37
Eric at 35.22 and danny at 32.16
So, eric you lead off
Kevin magnuson top 15 at sandiego
whoo
Putting it on the board right now
I predicted 12th on my show today, but i'm just gonna say 15th or better for the for this show
uh
I've made a similar prediction so I could either get both wrong or one or the other right
um
Kyle busch in some way will be featured in the cover of nascar 26
Whether it's a logo
Him as the cover driver one way or another. I think they're gonna pay as much Kyle bush
They may make like
The ultimate addition and put him on the cover for that one
Would that would would you guys say that counts or would that not count as the cover driver because I
I would I would count it
It's still being a cover if they did something separate because that's what they that's what these games do
Like I know the college football game
They've got some players on the normal one, but then they've got like the indiana coach on like the deluxe edition
So you could see like a legacy edition and put kyle on the cover of that one. I would still
The rowdy edition. I like no as
Take all right. Well, what was your first prediction?
Water slide boy bubble wallis will miss the playoffs in 26
Okay
All right second round my final prediction
Uh
Toyota has won. Oh, I've thought my head. I think it's eight of the first 14 points races
This season I predict they will finish the season with at least 18 cup wins
So that would be half
Sorry, I meant chase. I don't know why I keep saying that got off a word
Oh playoffs playoffs
playoffs
Uh
Spire and track house will both get exactly three wins in 2026 and cup
So they're at one and two right now
I think shane gets two of the road courses
And then one of the spire guys gets another one, but no more than that three more no less
That's a that's a pretty specific prediction. That's not a layup. That's certainly not a layup
I like the specific ones. I I got I feel like we made more specific ones people would probably get off her backs about us being taking
Quote-unquote layups. Yeah
Um, I was kind of distracted by me messing up air. Can you tell me again what yours was just I don't
Toyota Toyota will win at least 18 cup races this year. Okay, and then jared you had you had something svj
But what was again, sorry fire and track house both get three wins exactly in 2026
Just making sure it wasn't about the overall svg will enter the chase in the top 10
What's weird is I literally wrote svg will enter the chase
And the one before that I would I wrote both walls will miss the playoffs like I use both words
I guess like quoting do you do the same thing you're double dipping on that one
All right. Well, let's have a little bit more fun. Shall we let's head on over
to
random driver of the week so
All time right now. Danny leads Eric 42 to 40
Danny has two in the last five. I have two in the last five. Eric has one. Eric got lake speed again
Danny got Danica Patrick and Brian Scott and I stumped y'all on Jim roper and buddy errington
So hide the chat
get your pens out
Make sure you have have a pen ready to go
That's the exact pen I'm gonna grab and play where did it go?
I don't hear somewhere
All right, let me know when you're ready y'all
We're ready. We're ready little sharpie pan is ready
This random driver is originally an Ohio native
Okay
Yo, I drove through Ohio when I went to that Richmond race on the way to the Vikings Bengals game and uh
I was surprised
How hilly and mountainous it was
A lot of farms
Yes, yeah, and then I drove past bobby mackeys. It was like the most haunted bar in America since been torn down. I found out
Uh
It has nothing to do with the random driver other other than Ohio. Uh, this random driver is the grandson
Of the founder of red roof in
Oh, that's like a big chain of like what is red roof in I'm like, you know, I've seen those around
Uh
This random driver's x profile reads as this quote no life skills outside of a racetrack
I feel like this can be a younger person it sounds like you said like a grandson. So yeah, that's gotta be younger
Okay, I Kentucky Ohio they blend together when they get near the border
I'm in a very true
All right times we've tweeted about this random driver
me
twice
Danny
12 times
Eric
51
whole night
All right, I gotta get this one. It's definitely it's gotta be a current driver or yeah, probably current or very recent
This random driver actually graduated from high school and a few hours later
Was racing in a NASCAR craftsman truck series event
So started young
This random driver won a bronze medal in the 2014 x games
That do me for a loop. I thought I knew who it was. I was about to guess who it was now. I'm not sure
This random driver
Can I throw out a guess anyways just in case let's hear Ryan Ryan Blaney Ryan Blaney?
Wrong
Damn, I wondered if Dave Blaney senior whoever was the founder of red roof. I don't know
You think you've only tweeted 51 times about Ryan Blaney over the years. Yeah, I mean that maybe that's low
I don't know that's uh Jared twice
Oh, that's true. Well, but Jared Jared done tweet a whole lot. He doesn't like live tweet races like like I sometimes do
I used to and uh, yeah, that's more of a new thing
This random driver has made 29 career truck series starts
One win
One in the truck series
I can't remember this guy won a truck race or not though, but go
Oh
This random driver made 133 O'Reilly series starts as well
13 wins in that series
Who else is from Ohio? Remember I said originally
Well, actually they don't live there and they probably live in charlotte now, but like where like well, let me just try
Brandon Jones
Oh, nope. It's a good guess
No, he's from california. So no, it's not him
And he was a random driver. Oh, wow, they went made 165 career cup starts
Made you say that past tense
Is that just career wins
Great career wins three cup way too
I don't anyone from Ohio
I'm way too hung up on that
This random driver is an o'reilly series champion
X games 2014 X games at that
Austin syndrick Austin syndrick
Correct
What he's from Ohio originally
Yep, damn. All right, didn't know that one had to start going for the list of recent champs who have just three wins and it said they clicked
syndrick
Conjurk would have also been accepted right? Yes. Conjurk would have been accepted. Yes. So they were they were all putting in the chat
Conjurk Conjurk
Um, yeah, one of my other clues is going to be that he is a huge fan of avatar the last airbender
And that might have talked I've talked about avatar the last airbender on pit road with him before
man, so
I was surprised that that driver of all of them stumped you guys that long
I the Ohio did a good job dressing it up. So
Good job. Good job on that one. So danny leads 43 40 all time
Darn he's pulled away the last month or so. I think that ties the largest lead ever
I've got to get the 51st and then I've
Also got I also think Jared has stumped us one time before that happens to get some predictions. All right
That is true
But it ain't gonna happen this week. So let's head on into
The irish hills of michigan
A few weekend notes to open us up on it. There's a new right side tire compound this week for the cup car
Left sides I think have been used like six times this year. I want to say
Austin hill be in the 33 JJ ailey in the 44 not much changing when it comes to
The cup series field as for the only other series this weekend the truck series
a little different
Corey hyme hyme time in the tricon one truck cliyas mcfarland isn't in number four for niece
Connor mosak in the seven for spire
42 for niece is stenhouse 45 for the same team chastain
bell back in the 62 for halmar freeson and
Carson hosevar will be in the 77 spire truck
Cup races the fire keepers casino
400
200 laps is the distance in that one 45 75 80 is the stage breakdown 3 p.m. Eastern time on
Oh, we got a card of all
Uh, we're gonna be on mrn as well denny hamlin your defending winner now. They didn't have a sponsor. I believe for the truck race
until
basically this week at least announced the
dqs solutions and staffing 250 powered by precision vehicle logistics
Oh, you just know they still let them for cheap that that's such a huge name
yeah
125 laps 30 30 65 130 p.m. Eastern time on fs one and the nascar radio network
Stuart freeson
Is the defending winner of that one? We actually now have renamed the weather
report to
The vorecast the vorecast from our trusted meteorologist jeff vorkin look at this lovely graphic
He's provided to us, but while he does have a graphic. Uh, he has also sent in a full-on
Workflow for it. So let's take a look at this
Says thankfully we are looking at a more straightforward weekend of rain chances in the irish hills of michigan
A cold front arrives friday in the saturday bringing periods of showers and thunderstorms with heavy rain
The potential for gusty winds and of course lightning at times from friday afternoon through early sunday morning will be
Expected campers beware of this as this is the same pattern bringing severe weather to the plains as we speak
Practice and qualifying for trucks will likely be impacted by lingering light rain slash drizzle unless
drier air can rush in quicker
Pop up the showers are also in play behind the front for saturday afternoon
Sunset is shortly after 9 p.m. For what it's worth though. So he's not too concerned about running in the darkness for saturday
It sounds like
Sunday will be much better with the cold front
Sun your skies prevail and it'll be a comfortable with it'll be a comfortable race with highs only reaching the upper 70s to lower 80s
So, you know, it could get could get dicey at the start of the weekend
But for the cup race it's gonna be very pleasant. It sounds like
woohoo
As for the pick points
Eric has the lead at 258 one point over the chat four over me six over danie and i
I seem to remember everyone last week saying I was going to be in the basement this week. So
I'm not
That's still a good a good spot to be at basement wise for me. I'll take six points back. We're still under that blanket together
Yeah, we are we are all nice and warm under the blanket right now. Let's jump into our picks and
Let's just go right on into who wins the truck race
First pick only got to pick one name for each one. I like that. I'm going with
garson host of r and his home track
Yeah, he'll have a ton of laps there last year. So I'll pick the guy who led a ton of laps there as well
It's gonna be him time
I'm
And he's in the one right? I like that
They going lane in the chat
Looks that way. I'll see a bunch of 34s
Yeah, I'm gonna give him the lane
I'm gonna go out on a bit of a limb here
And
I'm gonna say christopher bell
In the 62 the 52 won last year's race
I like that. I thought about that one as well
So those are our truck
Win picks and now we're already in the cup race. Who's gonna suck on sunday?
Cole custer, I'll just do easy
That is probably easy
Um, I don't know why I'm trying to like put there for some reason they kept putting the timer on
Um, you know, I'll go with somebody who in the last three
Races here has really fallen off a cliff and go joey legano
Hey, you and I always have the same suck picks
the chance is saying
uh chesting
Yeah, that's probably right too. Yeah, legano's crazy because he won he says he has three wins here
Like throughout the gen 6 era different times in the gen 6 era
And so it's like why has he been so bad the last couple of years?
It's so weird and ford ford won like nine straight of these and then the last couple years
It's been toyota. So I don't know but I legano is going to be my pick as well
So let's go to dark horse picks for michigan
svg
That's a good one. I'm gonna go with somebody who has been
statistically actually like a top five driver here zane smith
Yeah, I think I mentioned earlier that seven place average finish. I I like eric jones
He's been like top 10 the last three weeks in a row. He's been a contender. He's been pretty good at michigan
It's also a home race for him. So I'll go jones
Chat wise are they going zane or bubba wallace? I think it's bubba. There's been a lot more 23s. I think
I mean
Yeah, let's just let's just all have different picks on that one. They're good
It looks like they're going bubba as much as he's been sliding. I don't think they'd be mad about losing him for their win
pick
I don't either. I think you're right and that leads us to the cup win pick
Danny, I feel like you already let us know earlier who it is but make it official. Yes, any hamlin
Okay, so I thought you're gonna get so I'm gonna go with somebody who
I mean, maybe eric might have on his radar, but I don't think many others are I'm gonna go chris busher
I
Don't know if I would have picked him to win but he's not with the second pick that is bold, but okay
He's he's a model of consistency here. He's very good when you had red egg and even
Larson for what it's worth still available. It goes all over the place though at michigan
Uh, I'm seeing 45 and 20s. I'm surprised 20 because hasn't bell struggled here lately
Um, you know, I don't know. Yeah, I would hold those two. Those are the most consistent ones. I see
All right. Let's uh, let's pop up the poll
Our eater of those two ones you're considering eric or do you have someone else in mind?
uh
I if they I would
I don't want to say yes. This is an important. This is a noteworthy poll. I need to know the results
Okay, I didn't know if you want to go ahead and jump in and give your thought
Damn son. I don't want to sway them
I think they are perfectly swayed right now
Yeah, uh, I mean, I'm gonna end it here in three
two
One and then I did I did think the 20s were a little bit less than the 45 but it was worth checking
Yeah, so they're gonna go tie with reddick
Okay, I wanted Tyler reddick. So I'm a little I'm a disappointed little baby here
I'm not happy about this. I'm gonna throw a fit about to throw a fit live on the air
But uh because jared went out on a slight limb I feel like with chris busher that leaves me my third pick
That being
Kyle arson for the second week in a row
I'm gonna bet that he doesn't blow a tire with two to go like last week and cost him a self a top five finish
I'm betting it won't happen twice lightning never strikes twice right right can't have bad luck like that
We never really talked about why that wasn't a caution because I feel like he was just right there in the middle of the pit entrance
NASCAR won the race end
Yeah, yeah
It was like I thought I didn't realize it was larson and they're smoking up
I was like it's someone started a fire in the infield. What's all that smoke?
And that will do it so picks are already in
And uh only two races it's after after like six straight weeks of triple headers. It's kind of weird having just
two
So before we head into the final super chat stage break remember we'll be on danie's channel next week
It's your time june 10th
If you guys don't beat it I will burn the eric a step card
That's $17 down the drain danie. Exactly. You wouldn't dare
Seven economy flames if you don't join us, you know, it was funny is um
riss was was telling me she was going through like old memories and stuff
And it was june 10th last year when our dog ret ate a bunch of chocolate
And literally died on the table for a minute and came back so we could celebrate his one year death date next week live on air
How lovely
Goodness, I mean how many times are you gonna be like man? My dog died a year ago. Well, that sucks
No, he's right over here. He's still the dumb ass he was then say you're saying don't celebrate with chocolate bars
No, no, we'll have to figure out something. Maybe we'll give him like a chicken foot or something
All right, let's go into the final
Super chat stage break the super chat cooldown lap
I think we're starting with calypso here. You think prime could even come close to fox
Fox got energy swearing in nicknames like host of r and luster custer
What does prime have?
However cars go on
They've got pancakes
Yeah, jaren, can you sign my pancakes? I think I can do how much are we gonna sell those online for?
You need dale jr. To sign that card danny
Chris or chris busher, I guess
I'm just gonna get like every nas car driver to start signing over top of this and just call on the autographs on just
Just sign here. Keep signing keep signing. No, you want to make it really have value be like
Just go up to brennan pool and ask and be like, can you can you complete the podcast card?
Get get so many signatures on this thing. It's just nothing but a dark like scribble at this point
But it's all the autographs on top of each other sick. That'd be kind of sick actually
You think you'll get any larry mac and erisms on prime?
I don't know. I just don't need to download the road ranger app right now. So I shoot
Now
Riggs moving to the four soon front row needs to an upgrade
Especially with having three charters regardless of manufacturer. They shouldn't be this bad. I mean they've gotten better
but
Uh, let's see underlying
Or on dying I should say I don't know. I can't read tonight. Uh, what's the future guest list coming on?
Thought david land would be on last week slap after japan emblem it again. I'd like to see
Uh, is that nzco or nisco?
Uh, if y'all were cool with him, I mean, we'll we'll figure out guests moving forward
Slap has been sending me videos from japan of nothing but like japanese trains
He I want to he just gets you I want to know if if he goes back to the the japanese muscle mommy bar that he went to
You did he's ever show you that picture?
I have publicly publicly put it out there if he does but have at it slap
I want to sure he publicly put it out there last time. I'm pretty sure this is common knowledge at this point
I'll bet it was his first stop off the plane
Uh, david bell, thanks for the awesome podcast men. Thanks for all you do also peter. Hey nice
Peter is a much appreciated
Uh friend of the show we had him on
Uh, I think last year when eric couldn't be on with us. He nailed it. He killed it
Uh, we got cream cheese leaving a couple here cream cheese tsunami
Freddie craft and others on x say we need stages to reward consistency
Why should the guy running ninth on a random lap 70 get two points?
Point should be reserved for leading and finishing position
And then follows that up with award
15 points for the most laps led
And five for one lap like the past
Teams would try hard during a pit cycle for five points if the winner leads the most laps
They would get the same points as winning both stages now
So, okay first off cream cheese cream cheese tsunami. You have a great name
Second though, thank you for the super chat very generous third though
You want to award someone who just randomly stays out a tiny bit longer during a pit cycle five points
But you don't like the guy running ninth at a predetermined lap not a random lap. You're unhappy with them getting two points
I don't think that makes sense to me, but uh, but go but go for a cream cheese. I don't I don't agree
I would be a okay. I'm fine honestly with stage points without cautions. I'm fine if they get rid of them like
You know, I get both sides of the argument on that. It's not
Killing me on either end of it if we're gonna do laps led though
I think we I think it should be fine to do most led
But doing like again if like if you're rewarded because
You're rewarded because you got a lap led when everyone else pit under a cycle and then you go back to 30th
Where you were before so like I'd be fine if we did like
Two or five bonus points for most led like I honestly think even if we did one point
I think it'd be fine to give points for most led
um
But yeah, I mean that's that seems like overkill
Personally to do that many
Uh, yes 46th overall in all of fancy. Yeah, you'd be killing our league right now
Uh, glad I was able to provide the laugh of the night
Good job. Hey someone had to set it up and it was you so there you go
How long till the kiwi wins an oval does he ever I think he will get one at some point
I don't know if it's this year. He gets I think I still think he has a way to go
You know what New Hampshire
I wouldn't be shocked the fall charlotte oval race always had the most random winners. It could be that when it could be there
That'd be cool
See I saw a rumor two weeks ago. Jesse love had signed with another team in cup next year and is leaving rcr
So assuming hill gets the second cup car
Who fills rco's o'ryo seats if those rumors are true?
See I've been saying forever parker ribs life is who I'd look at but he seems like he's going into the legacy system now
So yeah, I really don't know who they go after
Maybe here's an idea. Maybe we look at
Harrison merton bring him into there. He's a proven talent and it could be good to hop into their equipment
There's that young guy that carson brown. I don't know how old he is though. He is he is he 18 yet?
I think he is he's like a late model guy. So they could maybe bring carson brown in
I don't know though Harrison could be fun, you know knowing that you know, jeff drover rcr
Uh, let's see thoughts on cleetus giving the command saturday. I think we talked about it earlier
But like this it's it's weird. It's something you do with retiring drivers
Not guys who are just getting started. This feels like something fox push for
It's a little weird, but I mean the best thing he is is he's a showman and so he's gonna put on a show
He's gonna have fun with it. So at least I hope he does I assume he will so I I get it
Uh, let's see. I think ringo is next
Jared
Oh, it's a teen editing
Did you hear about the anti-racic amendment that's going up for vote if past the fairgrounds are dead?
So it's not necessarily that
um, it's
They need to get 50 000 signatures for it to get on the ballot
Which it definitely could and then they have it up for a vote of possibly having that taken off of the charter
Agreement that nashville has and the fairgrounds in general. Um, I
I honestly think we're just gonna be stuck in development. How long term
It's not good, but it's not horrid thinking fairgrounds. Did you say that there was a fire there?
Yeah, would be wouldn't be surprised if that was uh enemy
Fire for sure. I wouldn't either unintended. I wouldn't either. I'm kind of wondering if that that screams arson a little bit
Uh, I will say track on fire. What?
It was it was a big fire and wanted like the the concession stands underneath the underneath the grandstands
Yeah, and I'm gonna be honest if you go past that area like and I'm not telling anyone to do so, but it's like
You can go right up to the track
When no one is there. I mean, I I haven't like obviously went on the track because it's locked up
But if I wanted to like I could
It's it's kind of crazy how such a historic track and there's like they put up
Cinder blocks on the racetrack so people don't joy ride their cars around. I'll just keep it like that
um
Yeah, I would not surprise me especially with some of the dirty politics that has been seen in national politics before
Uh, this is the screams
Crazy issues. I think the fire happened just in the middle of the week not like
Like oh someone left the gas on last night or something like that. No
Sherlock Holmes investigation the game is afoot
Who tried to burn the fairgrounds to the grounds and started Vanderbilt?
That's where all the people against the fairgrounds are all vandalism or
I knew I never liked them common horse. Diego pavia crew. They're trying to commandeer the fairgrounds property. I'm
Obviously have nothing to have this for legal reasons. This is true that the land is worth a lot of money and uh
They probably want more
The big thing is they want parking for that soccer stadium
Anyway, we can go to the next one. Let's see uh, van bonnie
I just bought some of the card boxes new chase card is the eric
Nice
I'm the chase card. Does that mean I made the chase
We're going to homestead you are in the all star race and the chase
Maybe maybe I'll open them up on the zamboni tonight. Oh this guy is zamboni
Hey, zamboni cool. That's cool. That's that's great. Let's see. Hello nwp. I'm back you guys brighten my day
Well, thank you. That's so nice. I see you to say welcome and says crazy
crazy prediction ryan priest wins a points race this year and svg wins a non
Super speedway oval track also could zillich and bowman swap in 20 27 both benefit
The fine both benefiting. I don't want that tractor
Yeah, I don't know that bowman benefits from that other than he still has a cup seat that isn't
You know 30 fit. Well, actually that car is 30 fifthed
The only cool thing big bowman being back in the 88 where he originally started
Uh, there were two here from indy karson v. Nascarson hand wp
trucks awesome finished by rigs and caruth or Riley or sorry. Oh, oh Riley
Justin all guys showed again why he should be in the nascar hall of fame and cup best finish of the season
And he followed it up with another one a little bit down says I changed my photo to kyle bush with me 13 years ago
who currently in north carolina and already went to between 20 and 25 race shops so many emotions from fans and teams for kyle bush
It's eye opening. It's always cool. We're gonna go to those race shops. I'm glad you're taking advantage of being able to be there
And that's a nice photo. I was just looking at it up close. That's cool
Speedy racing I am going to michigan this weekend for the first time looking forward to it any tips or advice or stuff to do
Uh for the weekend. I'm really hoping larson's larson snaps is winless streak. Hope so thanks
So I would say with michigan
Doesn't matter what you want to do at the track
Get there super early the traffic is awful. It's worse getting out
Um, get there early
They have a great selection of diecast vendors and seeing your profile picture
Speedy racing stop motions that look like you very like diecast and I would definitely recommend
Checking them all out. I'm gonna gonna be a lot of people to look at
their fan zone also is pretty expansive at times especially compared to
Especially compared to a lot of other tracks i've been to
As for stuff around the area you're gonna have to probably
Do stuff in different towns in the racetrack because there's not really much
Around is one of those kind of middle of nowhere tracks, which is awesome. It gives a character in a lot of ways but
When I visited a couple years ago, I drove. I don't remember how far it's near
It's not only it's crazy far from the track. It's a little day trip
I drove out to the roush collection where he had like a museum with a bunch of his
Old race cars and non-race cars out there a lot of cool kenseth stuff and you know at the time
There's some biffle stuff some carl edwards mark martin stuff. It was really cool
I I did see recently they were auctioning some things away including some of the kenseth cars
So I don't know if that museum is quite as built up as it was three years ago
But it might be worth googling calling ahead if you're interested in you know
Ford and roush right nascar history there soon
Cool stuff and I don't think it's that like it's maybe an ad I think it's less than an hour from the track
But I could be wrong
Uh hunter rixon with a question
It seems to me chastain has gotten progressively worse each year is the problem trackhouse or is ross just maybe a seer to your driver at best
I think it's more to the trackhouse equipment in my opinion
That's the direction I would go with it too. Um, maybe ross over achieved in 2022
But he still has proven before and way lesser equipment that he can wheel a race car if given the opportunity
Uh, it's just a bad situation overall right now
Yeah, I would lean towards it being more car than driver
But hey the whole narrative a couple years ago is tess ross lost his edge did hendrick drill that out of
So I don't maybe there's some truth into that, but I think he's still very talented
I think something would help them, you know, they just announced project 91 coming back with magnificent
I think they should
I think they should keep doing that car more often to
Make that experimental to try some stuff that can translate better into their full-time equipment
Yeah, I mean they definitely any edge they can get they need
Let's do let's do project 91 on some ovals. I mean
I mean if nascar proves if you want to run
You want to run cleat of mcfarland in a one-time oval with project 91 have at it
Nascar might have something to say about that for a while
uh about that
Jackson asks eric did amelia figure out your experiment yet?
I did I told her about it last week. Yeah, because after the moment we had our moment on the show
I thought that was fine. I did I yeah, I told her about it, but she passed
She badly looped her in because I'm really curious how how nashville as light as it was would have gone
She did watch she did not take a nap during the national race. She watched most of it. She did after a while
She had some audio book. She's in a book club. She had to finish it. So she did put earbuds in and listen
So for about an hour of the race. She was listening to her audio book while watching so she wasn't she wasn't exactly
Locked in like she was last week, but she was still paying attention
What's each of y'all's favorite truck race in person, man?
I think I actually have a list of truck races I've been to so let me let me
Figure that out while I throw the ball in their court for this one. I have no idea man
So honestly, I start to forget what truck races was I there in person for versus which ones did I just watch on tv?
Man, uh
Trying to see if this is the same one that's happened
Oh, I was it
I was at the brett moffat win 2018 at chicagoland. I think that and 2019
I I know mine's got to be last year's finale when corrie heim made that eight wide pass to
Win the championship that he should have won, you know
That that was that was like both a sigh of relief and also a holy crap
Danny remember that moment
Yeah, are you be thinking the same 2019 race and trucks? No, I'm thinking of a 2011 race
I'm thinking of that bristol race because it happened right in front of us
Ah with the wrecker decker. Oh, yeah
that was
So once in a lifetime my favorite one is actually
the 2011 truck race at bristol where kevin harvick won in the
bounty
like bounty paper towels
Chevy but that was the one where elliot saddler
And uh, kyle bush got into a chattering and kyle bush got wrecked after you know, they got
They got into it with each other. I remember that one. I didn't oh that was
That was a good one
That's like that's a good older truck race that I got to go to and and the trucks from that time period still having that
That splitter of the braces just it's always funny to look back at pictures of those
Ah, let's see it's june already jeez this year's flown by it really has man. That is true
Translation kyle arson better win at michigan or eric is banning him from the power rankings for life
Good luck with those fans again, eric
It is funny because I think if you go back, you know, I've done those power innings for a couple of years now
And i'm pretty sure i've had larson number one more than any other driver
Obviously not as much in the last year, but before that it was always larson
It felt repetitive and now he's kind of slingy on them little mini slump having things that issues random stuff pop up
And fan his fans weren't happy with me a couple weeks ago, but I but I
Put them in their place. I had to come with the truth speak facts
Tropicana orange juice jaret hashtag Tropicana 400. Yeah, I've been
Sipping on it lots of pulp
It needs to be some kind of Tropicana display of some kind of chicago land
Well, they had posted something about the Tropicana orange and then like, you know, kind of like a wink wink thing today on social media
I will say speaking of like little experiments and stuff
Wrist did put me up to she's like, you know, just keep drinking this and don't act like anything is
Whatever and just see if somebody responds about it. So
There's response. I think Tropicana is partially owned by
pepsi
Yeah, so I don't know that there's going to be a lot of Tropicana because there's not a lot of pepsi stuff in nascar
So I don't know they do have a mountain dew car of food city
But yeah, so happy to cloud pepsi is bigger up north today. My
They may sign an individual like deal with the track up there, which some tracks have done. That's true. That'd be cool. Yeah
A couple more here. What's y'all's favorite? Kyle bush stat mine is before they started changing the schedule
He was the first guy ever to win at every active track. I know that was a cool one
I had it that we kept kind of pushing that away from a little bit
I know 11 that I saw was the fact that due to the metric he technically qualified
On pole after he passed away. So he's the first nascar driver that qualified on pole
Like that's after they passed away and it's like that is such a kyle bush
They like that is that hopefully knock on wood is a completely unbreakable record in every way
I mean, I like what was it 19 straight seasons? He went with winning a cup series race. Is that what it was?
Yeah, like that and I like how that's that's
Saved by some what I call some anchoring who that was a close one kind of races because you know, okay
23 is versus rcr. Yeah, he gets three wins, but don't forget 22
He only won one race and that was because
Tyler reddick and chase briscoe got into each other at bristol
He barely beat out reddit coming to the line like to pass him right at the last second
And in 2020 we had that texas
Missed race that lasted three days and that was he waited till basically the end of the year to finally get one win that season
so two races
That seemed like miracles at the time saved that stat line
I think one of the craziest ones is he had five straight championship four appearances
Um under that format under both the really wild like non-stage point one and the playoff point era
So across both eras five straight in the 20s 15 through 19. Yeah
So he bookended both of them
Yeah, I know since we're talking about Kyle just want to say I think some from charlotte motor speedway the other day
And it was great to see that brexon's already back at the track racing, you know still still thinking about that young man
But it's good to see a photo of him actually out there racing
Yeah
Ross crash stein with the last one as a fellow bowman fan and the resident titans fan danny
When do we get a break?
When do we get to break out the proper or the paper bag hats with our alex bowman gear?
I mean we we could probably go ahead and start doing that
I I'm I'm hoping this year's titans won't make me pull out the paper bag, but i'm prepared for anything
Paper bag can look good on that new uh on a new
light blue jersey too
You know that that beige
That beige brown color goes well with with your jersey, you know, I already wear like the
Off-white like ivory hat so it's it's close enough
Oh my gosh
Do I still have that picture? I might be able to actually pop up one of the pictures of you from that game danny
Just seeing the looks of mainly biking fans there because there wasn't any titans fans
Just seeing the looks I got leaving that game was just worth it
We're gonna extend it like an extra two minutes so I can share these pictures of danny
Because it is true meme material
Um and clips of the fair super chat anyways
The fairgrounds amendment. I ain't even that evil
Oh, man, so you're just you're basically gonna wait for me scroll through my phone find the two pictures again
That way I can pop them on screen really quick, but
I scroll too far
They're they're worth it though because danny went full meme material with it
I told you as long as they were below a certain number of wins within that game came
I was gonna do that
I think you said it was like if it was three or less wins at that point. Yeah and three with our max
All right, so I'm gonna pop both these on screen and we're gonna have to shift us over real quick
All right
So that's uh, we're doing it live. We're Yeah, we're doing it live. All right. We're gonna share
First off the picture of me and danny in the stands
Look at all the purple
There is
Four total titans fans in this photo
Did when uh, so my dad he was listening to it over the radio because he's up in Illinois and and he he
You know
You didn't get all the viking games up there even even when the vikes are good
Just because I always put the bears and the packers over them
Just because of proximity and he texted me
With like five minutes left in the game and he goes
Did you guys just start a skull champ because there were so many viking fans there?
Oh, it was so many
That like danny you like nudged me and you're like pointing to the top deck and it's just skull skull skull
They're doing skull and i'm with my paper bag going why why why?
And then I found another picture from that game
And it's danny playing good sport with viking fans
And it says i'm surprised the titans have a website since they can't get three w's together
Hey for what it's worth we got three that year
But oh my god, look in the background too. It's just all viking fans everywhere
90 purple. I'm not even exaggerating
they had they had the the um
The the areas for uh for tailgating and usually most places, you know, they're all closed off for like certain home team fans
It was literally all viking fans tailgating beforehand
But yeah between that one and this one
Danny had some like just great meme material that day. I'm not gonna go get it
But I will say I've already gotten a new titans jersey with a new look. I got the
white stitched
98 jeffrey simons jersey
Doesn't match the bag. That's all you gotta know. Did the colors work?
I might need to see if it's possible to get like a like a stark white bag for next year to go with it
Yeah, if you're gonna wear the bag at least it's gotta be stylish, you know
That picture of you know, listen to sand. I think it's funny because like I had my sunglasses on
I don't even so you saw no eyes. There was no indication of who this person is
That's kind of scary
Calypso left one more here says also if one is wondering why there's a little rain
And still rain despite Jared's debt being gone. Look, I don't actually control the rain
I just have fun with in the misery and to be fair calypso and I through email. I found out
Calypso is a good mod so
Hey
Calypso is good, but I just thought of one more story from that football game fucking share real quick share it
I was nearly put on tv
And that's right. That's right
And this is the worst thing ever. I I I can't even laugh at this because you can't make this up
The there was a tv man. He spotted me. He was literally going to film me
And a guy jumps up in the front row in front of like, yeah
Yeah, my jersey look at this and everyone's like sit down. He's not filming you idiot
The worst part is
Man was deaf. Yeah, and we're deciding on the front row the entire game
You had you yeah, you had like 50 different people
To be like sit down idiot the guy with the bags on tv and this dude couldn't have heard him
Not neither of them could have no couldn't know nothing was happening because they literally couldn't hear another funny part
The same row of us in the in the section over looked over and that was where uh, justin jefferson's mom was sitting too
Because it was behind the vikings bench was the side we were on and I remember I think I nudged you at one point
I go dude that that's justin jefferson's mom
Cool
So that was a fun game. I almost got to meet cam bynum, which is pretty cool
Uh, but that'll do it. That'll do it. Uh, again, we will be live
Next week on danie's channel 8 p.m. Eastern time june 10th. He will not be wearing the bag for that one
We got current outside in cam award. Hope I shouldn't be wearing a bag for a little bit
For your sake, I hope it gets better
Uh, but thank you guys so much for coming on out tonight. We'll see you next week talking michigan
pokano
and
No, an ask or some kind of crazy story. Uh, see y'all then have a great night everybody
There's too much time
Not clear
guys. Goodnight,
Original notes
