LIVE
This is WFO Radio.
Hello and welcome to what we hope is the biggest and best episode of Life's A Drag in the history of ever.
So I'm your one of your hosts, Elon, and my partner in crime.
Abby Winner Woodward.
So as we get going, we're going to recap an amazing, amazing Norwalk race.
We've got a special guest, but please start liking the show, sharing the show, considering the merch.
Stephen was unable. He's already shot us a message.
Can't listen live, but he's going to listen later.
So we're going to appreciate anyone can do that.
You can go into the archives.
You can watch Joe's show from WFO Radio yesterday.
You can watch our show from three weeks ago, whatever you want to do, but definitely, definitely share the show.
We're excited to have survived Norwalk.
I assume, Abby, have you caught up at all from Norwalk?
Yes, I've unpacked. I've done laundry.
My husband is also out of town right now for work. He gets home tonight.
So I'm like trying to take advantage of like having like laundry facilities just all to myself and whatnot.
I try to like have things kind of mostly back together before he gets home tonight.
So yeah, feeling good, feeling good.
So Norwalk for us was an eight day adventure for Warner Communications.
Yes.
And we'll get into all that, but it was great.
Everything about the Norwalk race was spectacular from the racing to the food, to the staff, to the just, I mean, can you put your finger on what was your top memory of this Norwalk race without spoiling the whole show?
I mean, I don't think this is a huge spoiler. I'm never going to forget the joy like in the press room of Sadie Glenn getting her first top dragster win.
Like that's just...
Yeah, that's in the hard drive and luckily we'll be joined by Sadie Glenn here shortly.
Yeah, so it was great. It's always great to meet folks, you know, the autograph line at Summit.
Okay, so what I love about Summit Motorsports Park is, A, Summit's a great partner. They're a partner to Drag Race Bracket Bonanza.
They support so many racers. They support Greg Anderson, Dallas Glenn, they support the track, they sponsor the race.
They're able to go to their headquarters on Wednesday night.
Yes.
And they had a massive, they had Greg's car, Dallas's car, Clay Millican's car.
And Antron Brown.
And Antron Brown. All full rigs, race cars out, drivers were there, signing autographs. They did a big employee event.
We were there promoting Bracket Bonanza and selling Thousand Round Win Club collectibles because we were able to get Greg to sign a handful of them there and we sold them on the spot.
Which you can get those right now and I would highly recommend getting your Thousand Round Win collectible now at ThousandRoundWinClub.com because we're about to start doing events on site.
And when we're on site at events, we're going to turn off the Shopify store.
Yeah.
So we don't oversell. So if you want to guarantee that you get one of these things,
they're going to start shipping tomorrow.
I'm packing them up right now and we're shipping some to Summit to sell at events they have coming up.
But if you for sure want it signed by John Force and Greg Anderson on the same card, ThousandRoundWinClub.com, order it now because there's a very good chance there will not be any left in a month.
Yeah. Do you want to show them the packaging?
Because the packaging I think is pretty nice.
Like, hang on, like you mean what it ultimately looks like as far as like right there?
Like when you open up the box.
Oh, yeah, I don't have a box in here.
Oh, you don't?
Yeah.
So, but it comes from commercial break.
Yeah, we'll highlight one when we come back from commercial break.
But get a ThousandRoundWinClub collectible, play Drag Race, Brack of Bonanza.
Yes.
So many things going on.
So, and they're all going on at Norwalk.
And, you know, the weather forecast going into Norwalk was once again, terrible.
But they moved the show up on Friday.
Yes.
Got everything in on Saturday and Sunday, really without too much of an issue, which was impressive.
So I drove Norwalk from Dallas, Abbey flew in and then we drove back.
Yes.
Together.
So it's quite the road trip extravaganza.
Got to eat at Manny's.
I got to eat at Manny's twice.
You got to eat at Manny's twice.
I only got to eat it at once.
And then what was the other place that we went to?
We went to Danny Boys.
So had the same waitress twice.
Twice had the same food.
I got the chicken parm and Abbey got the chicken Alfredo, I think.
Yes.
And we went there two different times.
We went there Thursday night and Saturday night.
Yeah, Saturday night.
And got the exact same thing sat in two different sections and still got the same waitress.
And she was kind of a Chattacathie.
She was super nice.
She was super nice.
So chat.
And here's a pro tip.
We were so hungry on Saturday that when she set our food down, all we wanted to do was eat.
And she wanted to tell us about her day.
Yes.
And talk to me about the stickers on my laptop.
Yeah.
Cause just so y'all are not, we're so much fun to go to dinner with.
Yeah.
All we do is like, we basically take our laptops in.
Particularly, particularly on like Saturday night.
We're more fun other nights, but Saturday night, you're, you're like putting together points.
I'm doing Drag Race, Brack of Anansis stuff usually and kind of getting my Spencer hide stuff ready to go for the next day.
So yeah, we're, we're a little workaholics.
That's, that's the part where it's like, we both have a ton of decals on our laptop.
Now, Abby's are much more, I mean, I just have, if you give me a decal, I'm going to put it on my laptop.
My laptop looks like my computer screen.
It's just covered in garbage, covered in stuff.
But Abby's are very good conversation starters.
So the waitress was very interested in Abby's stickers.
It's left over from college.
They're very cutesy and aesthetic and like pastel.
And so yes, she was very interested in my stickers.
So, and we just kind of wanted to eat.
I was interested in with shoveling chicken Parmesan into my face.
And it was good.
I mean, it was delicious.
Also, Danny boys ran, there's always something going on in Sandusky.
I mean, we did not stay at the Calahari, the big water park, but there was like a cheerleading contest going on there.
It's already full of just people that like the water park and then there were some likes tournaments.
There's the race.
There's Cedar Point and Danny boys, which is an established local restaurant ran out of garlic bread.
Yeah, garlic knots, garlic knots on Thursday.
They had a rational because they were just so overrun.
And I was always boggles my mind of how do you not know what weekend it is?
Right.
How do you not know you're going to need more garlic knots?
Drag racers like garlic knots.
Okay.
But the benefit of not having garlic knots is it turned us on to that cheese bread.
Oh, so good.
And that cheese bread was very, very, very good.
So yeah, so Danny boys, Manny's lived up to its expectations.
Yes, it did.
Sadly, I did not see Chad Green.
No, but you did get to see Vic saw Vic Wood saw him out.
You know, he's looking good.
He was in a wild scooter versus golf cart incident in Bristol.
So he lives to fight another day.
He's great to see him.
And if you don't know who Vic Wood is, he's with vision one.
He's their main motorsports marketing guy in drag racing.
And it was cool to have vision one sponsoring drag race bracket bonanza.
It's the official hand cleaner of the NHRA.
Yep.
It is legit.
The best hand cleaner.
And it's not just for racers.
It's for anyone that has dirty hands or dirty feet or dirty anything.
Clean it up.
I mean, I can't scientifically say it can clean anything,
but I can say it will get your hands very, very, very clean.
So we're fired up to have them on and Vic is the main guy.
So if you see Vic at the race track and you need some vision one,
he's your go to if you're a racer.
Yeah.
So, so yeah, so saw Vic at Manny's apparently who someone was in Danny
Boys right around the corner from us when you're in there.
Cause they mentioned it to me on Sunday.
May have been Galvin or somebody.
So yeah.
So really enough about food.
I believe we have our special guest in the green room.
I want to give her a heads up since she's getting all,
she's getting all loosened up folks.
She's going to, she's bringing the high heat,
but let's bring on arguably the greatest drag racer in the history
of drag racing.
Sadie Glenn.
You should have said Sadie.
Yeah.
Well, it's, you know, I want to open up the show right now,
right out of the gate.
Sadie with a picture that I posted on Facebook of the two
greatest drag racers ever of all time.
Well, of all time.
Obviously.
Yeah.
I win one race immediately become the best drag racer of all
time alongside John force.
So obviously this is something that I saw with my own two eyeballs.
Sadie is in the staging lanes after the deal and John forces on
his golf cart and Sadie,
I want you to take it from there about what happened after that.
Well, so I was just sitting in the car because between the,
the scoop.
Can you hear Henry barking?
Yeah, but that's okay.
We're very dog friendly here.
Oh, okay.
So sorry.
Henry, can you not?
No.
You like that today?
We're dog approved here.
Yes.
So I'm sitting in my car because the,
between the, the summit scoop and the Wally,
I was like, it is so hard to get in and out of this dang car.
So I'm just going to sit here and just like chill, I guess.
And so they were getting ready to run the finals of the pro
categories.
And I see John force on his little golf cart and I was like,
Oh, he's so cute.
And so, you know, I'm halfway blacking out, you know,
before we go to the winter circle.
And I was just like, dude, to do.
And then all of a sudden I see everyone kind of like go like
scurry.
I was like, what is happening?
And all of a sudden I like feel something right here.
And it's John force.
I was like, what is he doing?
And he just tells me good job.
Like he has, we have never met.
Obviously he is John force.
Like he doesn't know who Dallas is or I am.
Like the fact that he got off his golf cart, like was so sweet.
And I was like, I don't know.
Like I felt like I met like the king of England or something.
Like I felt like I needed to get up and like,
there was some formality.
Like, like,
I don't know.
And I just have like all this heavy crap.
Well, not crap,
but heavy stuff on my lap.
And I was like, I literally do not know what to do.
Like what is acceptable in this interaction besides like bowing,
I would like you to know,
I worked for John force for 15 seasons.
Yeah.
I will tell you now,
I'll go over the complete list of sportsman racers he's gone up
to and talked to at any point after a race.
Obviously you most recently the list ends.
Well,
I mean,
I think it was just, I mean,
I want to believe that he did it on purpose,
but maybe it was a proximity thing because I was literally parked
right next to the golf cart.
I think,
I think stars recognize stars.
Exactly.
I think that was,
that was Hugh Jackman seeing Brad Pitt or George Clooney on the red carpet
and going, I, yeah, we need to get together.
We need to link up.
We need to link up.
Oh my golly.
So he,
I was trying to,
I was trying to hug Kelly Wade right for the habit.
And she full on just shoves me out of the way.
John forces over there talking to Sadie.
She like stiff armed you.
And I was like, oh my God,
this is so great.
And then we kind of missed it.
So then I'm like,
John,
you're like, John, do it again.
I said,
don't yell at this angel baby.
Yeah.
So walk me through.
I saw the pictures of your winter circle.
Yes.
It, you know, the Andersons are in there, you know, all these, how,
when they rolled, I mean, you're usually like, you know,
the person taking the winter circle pictures,
but like, did you have a, like a Ricky Bobby moment?
And I don't know what to do with my hands.
Well, okay.
Let's just start off with the interviews.
I was like, oof, I don't know how much I dig being on this side
of it.
Like I totally forgot to thank Dallas,
the guy who has slaved over my car for 20 million years that
we've been together.
I mentioned him.
Yeah.
But I didn't like necessarily say thank you.
So that was great.
And so I get to the winter circle and Tamara that works for KB
Titan, she starts taking the photos.
And all I can think about is I need to help her because like we
kind of help each other.
Like if Dallas, like we do like the hat dance together,
like I'll give the guys these hats and then she's gathering the
other ones that they're like throwing at us.
And so it felt weird just having them tell me what to do.
What was the Sadie Glenn hat dance?
Like what?
Oh, it was, I have zero hats.
It was my own hat that I wore all weekend.
It was a summit hat that they already had.
Obviously.
Thank God.
Respect Jim Greenleaf.
Yeah.
And a Lucas oil one.
All right.
I was like, okay.
So you hit on the interviews.
You're big time.
I mean, Amanda music.
And I know you mentioned that like, that was kind of a surprise.
You're, we're all kind of like Joe Castillo does this deal,
but like you get out of the car and big Fox wants to just chat
you up a little bit.
Like what even is that?
So, so I pull over.
And first, well, first off, like he goes red and then we both
lift at like the same time.
Probably cause he went red and he was, you know, disappointed,
which I totally can.
He's the man.
Like he was only five red.
Like he could have gone up there again and done everything
exactly the same and been perfect.
Like he's a killer.
And so I lifted cause I was just simply exhausted.
I just said, okay.
Yikes.
And so I, I was parked on the left side of the track all weekend
and with the sportsman people, which I loved, like it had so much
grass for Henry and we were living the dream over there.
But all I was like, are they going to have me go to the right?
Like where like Dallas goes?
Like, cause I know I'm like, oh my gosh, I have to do the race
of champions now.
Holy, no, my God.
So they like wave me over and I was like, holy crap.
So I'm just, you know, like ugly crying in my car,
which I'm not a crier.
It takes like a lot for me to cry.
And it just was immediate waterworks.
I was like, who am I being possessed by right now?
And so, so all of it, like I'm trying to get out of the car.
And of course, like my hybrid is catching on my, on my roll cage.
And so is my arm restraints.
And I like can't get out of the dang car.
And like all of a sudden she's like, Sadie Glenn.
I said, I know she's not trying to interview.
Is there someone else named Sadie Glenn up here?
What?
I said, she, she's Fox.
Like I, all I, I just got to like write all my sponsors on my hand
for Joe.
And all of a sudden camera in my face and I don't remember any of
it.
How great is that?
I don't remember any of it.
Nikki sent me the interview and I'm just bawling.
I'm just.
Well, you do an amazing job of chronicling your race weekend.
So to me, I haven't seen everything, but I have just been bawling
like all the, like you in the car when you saw the red light and
you're giving out like fist bumps and then you pull off like just
the wave of emotion.
So how cool is it to have those moments and like be able to kind of
go back and look at them?
Yeah, it's, it feels out of body.
Like it really still does feel like a client of mine one, but
like people are calling me not to set up interviews with somebody
else, but with me and I was like, this is so weird.
And I, it's so freaking weird.
Like it's, there was a moment before the finals, you know, it was
really, I was in my pits, but on the fence when Dallas got shut off
because of the fuel leak at which, you know, super sucks, but
at least they caught it before he made a pass and like wadded it up.
You know, like it was a lot of fluid, he said.
So I'm like at the fence, like trying to like hear anything.
And I see just Matt Hartford's tree go down.
I was like, what am I looking at?
Like, didn't like, I saw him do a burnout.
So he showed up like, I don't get it.
And so, you know, as much as I would have loved a final round with
Dallas, I don't think my heart could have taken it.
Yeah.
Because as soon as, as soon as they pushed him back, my like
phone is like top and like all sportsmen people to the lanes.
I was like, okay, like, I didn't think he was going to make it
because he hadn't made it for like second round or third round
or the semis, which is totally, we've prepared for that.
And all of a sudden he must have just like pushed the car back
and then started walking towards the lanes on the sportsman side
because all of a sudden he was there.
So as much as it sucked that he wasn't in the final two, I think
I needed him not to be in some weird way.
That sounds so sucky coming out.
But I think I needed him.
So looking back at the GoPro stuff before the finals, like just
all of a sudden I start crying.
Like I'm, I'm a fricking mess.
And Dallas is like, why are like, why, why are you crying?
And I was like, I just want to do so good for all these people.
Like I, I know you want to win for yourself and stuff, but like, I
felt like this was one for like the behind the scenes guys.
Yes.
And like everyone was so sweet and supportive.
I was like, I just don't want to let him down.
And he's like, well, number one, you're not going to let him down
even if you don't win.
And but I'm just like, like my dang GoPro is just me crying.
I was like, girl, get it together.
Like you're a mess.
So I would compare parts of this to like a wedding in the sense
that like one of the favorite parts about my wedding was after we
got married and all of the people coming and telling us about
like the things that we weren't there to witness.
Like, yeah.
And I'm sure after the fact now people are like coming and like
telling you about like who they were with when they watched you
win and like the good energy they were pushing your way.
And like that kind of thing.
Like, has that been really like cool to hear about?
It's been so great.
Like my phone, I'm surprised and catch on fire.
So one that really stood out to me was Jed Coughlin Jr.
like the baddest dude of all time.
Like I get a text from him and he is in the stands videoing
my final and then sending it to me and saying like, good job.
Like, sorry, I'm not a better videographer.
And I'm like, this is Jed Coughlin Jr.
Like, are you kidding me?
Like, and he's just in the stands just living the dream.
And so it was just crazy.
Like people, you know, from division six that I haven't seen in forever.
You know, that was super cool.
So it's just so weird.
Like all the photos I'm getting, I'm like, okay,
I can't wait to like post an album,
but I'm making sure I do my client albums first.
Like right before I logged on here,
I was like, just got done with Angie Smith's photos from the weekend.
I was like, okay, make sure I post those.
But yeah, all the photos have been crazy.
I was like, how do I pick like a profile picture now?
You know, like there's so many good ones.
So you touched on, you know, Angie Smith,
obviously your, your client list goes from world champions,
you know, pro stock motorcycle, pro stock car,
sportsmen people, how I think you're in a really unique position now
because you've now experienced this thing.
So now you can have this conversation with them about when you kind of maybe suggest some things
that now you're like, I mean, I know.
Yeah.
I've won one of these things.
Even though I blacked out the whole time.
But you know, you have a diamond Wally, you have an ice cream scoop.
Yeah.
Just, I mean, when you do your end of the year collage picture of all your winners,
you're going to be a part of that.
That's going to be nuts.
Especially like, I really didn't think it could get better than Angie's win last month
or whenever, like after Chicago and then going to Maryland and Matt trying to keel over on us.
Oh my God.
Now that he feels better, I feel like punching him in the throat for doing that to the whole team.
Really rude.
Yeah, so rude, like how dare your body just do that.
So I really didn't think it could get bigger than like better than Angie's win.
And I feel like this is like equivalent to that because I was just so proud of her because I know we're kind of similar in a way,
not saying that Matt and Dallas don't work hard for wins because they work their butts off.
But I feel like they're more naturally gifted.
Like Matt gets in a pro mod wins the whole thing.
Like Dallas gets in this, that and the other thing wins because they're just so born to do this.
And before last week and I was like, I feel like I am like, like climbing up this mountain just to like get some good luck.
You know, and so I think in a way, Angie relates to that too.
You know, like Matt's got 17,000 championships, you know, and so I didn't think it could get better than that, you know, for me.
So seeing I was like, oh crap, I now did it.
And then to have her up there, like as soon as I get out of the car, her and Matt was so sweet and like Joy Gladstone, obviously Dallas.
But like a lot of my clients, I guess just got on their scooters and just like hauled tail to the top end.
And all of a sudden we're there.
Everybody wanted everybody wanted a piece of this.
And I think that that I mean, like I we had a huge hospitality with flex jet and we're breaking it down.
And I'm trying to watch on live timing and everything.
And I'm like, have half the stuff loaded up to go put in my car.
And I was like, oh, oh, f they're about from and I'm just like flying through the stage and trying to get up there to watch.
And I nearly crash into the back of some sportsman guy.
And I stop and then I realized that like Kelly and Krista are walking back.
And by the way, they need to work on their celebration faces because I couldn't tell if you won or not.
And I was like, did the final happen?
And Kelly's like, yes.
And I'm like, did Sadie win?
And she's like, Sadie Glenn's a national event winner.
And then Krista kind of like did like this post, but I'm like, if I would have said I did not see it live.
But if I would have, I would have still been like pistols in the air.
Yeah.
Well, honestly, I was talking to him about it afterwards and we have such PTSD from the media room and not being able to cheer.
That we threw those rules right out the window this weekend, by the way.
I know. And that's so sweet.
The, just for those who don't know, like the Norwalk media room setup, it's a fairly large space, but then there's like a little office that off to the right side that the NHA people work out of.
So that's Allie Bland and Nikki and all.
And so a huge group of us just crowded into that little office.
So we could cheer with the doors closed.
It'll be respectful.
But that was like a memory.
Did you write in like, I'm so many people were cheering for Kenny too, because he's been a long time top crew guy like, yeah.
And we're not taking anything from Kenny, but just like on Saturday, like I'm old school, like I will just people in the press room.
Oh, me too.
Because I'm just whatever.
But on Saturday, when you won to go to race on Sunday, when I.
He jumped up and made it.
Yeah.
But then I look into that office and like, Sadie or Nikki and Allie, they're like, Josh, they're all just like everyone's dancing.
There's just so much goofing over me.
Just, yeah, so just super happy for you.
Thank you.
Just because you've worked so hard for it.
And I, as crazy as this sounds, I don't know that people have ever been talking about top dragster as much as they're talking about it now.
Well, I think this last like months per se with, you know, our good friend Mario, he's been bringing the heat with this 610 talk and I, and people are calling me they're like, oh man, he's talking crap about your car and stuff.
And I said, no, like, he's our buddy, like his son is one of my husband's best friends.
And one of my good friends, like it's all in fun. And everyone's entitled to their own opinion. So I feel like leading up to this. There was a lot of top dragster talk, positive and negative.
And then, you know, a slower car goes at like two slower cars are in the final. And which is crazy to me that a 690 is considered slow.
But, you know, you know, I think it just added to it, which was super cool. I just, I guess I just didn't realize I like I knew I had friends, but I guess I just didn't know this win would be as big for a bunch of people, you know, which is so sweet.
And I was like, I got to stop crying guys, like, I can't keep up.
I will have a printout guaranteed in Sonoma of that picture of you enforced to get it signed by you and.
Oh my God.
Yeah, like what I'm going to do, have him sign his 158 wins and I'm going to have you sign one X one for now.
Exactly be to grow.
Because it's just so we see the diamond Wally over shoulder. We've seen the videos, which is so great.
Oh, and yeah.
Okay, so, well, okay, so.
First of all, that is that is a tremendous racer living room, by the way.
Yes, thank you.
The video that you posted where Dallas like cleared space and left you have me crying all over again in the car.
I walk in so I drove nine hours home me and Henry like Dallas is a psychopath he packed up everything and then drove through the night like he always does home from Norwalk.
I, he's a serial killer.
So I smartly started driving on Monday and he, he wasn't at the house when I got home and all of a sudden like I you walk like through the garage and I see like the little sign, because we always joked like I always joked about it.
Like, hey, if I ever win one of these, all of yours.
Hmm, like out of here, like old news. Sorry, you've got like 20 million of them. And any did it. I was like, Oh my God, like I married a saint. I really did.
You did.
You did. And the fact that you move the mission foods world championship trophy down to secondary status really.
Okay, she does not belong there to be fair. The IKEA shelf probably can't support the weight of that.
Yeah, so to be to be fair, IKEA, she has not supported the champ trophy at all because she will break.
We just really need to move into our new house and I'm going to make like, like Matt Smith has some really cool like pet, like heavy duty pedestals and stuff in his shop and I think that's the only way to do it really.
There's no way this 10 year old IKEA shelf that I put together myself is going to handle any bless, bless like, and then like,
I see, I see the lolly. Where's your ice cream scoop that.
Oh, it's still, I think in Dallas's truck, because so I put like my sleeping bag, comforter and everything back in the back of Dallas's truck because I stayed in my trailer for the divisional.
I had my espresso machine at a microwave. I had my air mattress and I was set and they have really good showers there. Yeah, hello, and my dog so it was good.
So I put all that stuff in the back of Dallas's car and I put the Wally, like in the crevice of the comforter to be safe. And then I think the scoop is just in the abyss of that somewhere I haven't cleaned out Dallas's truck yet.
I'm like, dude, I'm so tired. I'm so sorry. I can't like, I can't.
Let last question will let you go because I'm sure you got work to do.
How cool is it? You're such an advocate for sportsman racing and I know seeing people climb the mountain to have your first win come the same day as Maddie Gordon's first win when her dad also gets a win in the Gordon family.
And I know, you know, just, I feel like in the annals of people that are really in the sport, they will talk about this race as I was there when Maddie Gordon got her first win and Sadie Glenn got her first win.
Yeah, that's crazy to just be in the same sentence. Like I, I knew Maddie was gonna, gonna win at some point this year because she is incredible at everything she does.
So to be even in the same sentence, or even like, you know, when Ali from NHA sends those like winner packets to see my name on it, I was like, this is nuts.
And, you know, cuz stats wise, I do that every weekend for all my clients and stuff. So to see my name on it, and then have other people like Maddie Gordon.
I'm like, oh my God, like this is crazy.
Well, like I said, so happy for you for Dallas, you know, and Henry, just into the winter, his first Glenn winter circle. Yeah.
Had the whole Glenn family there. It was awesome.
He hasn't, he hasn't been in one of Dallas' winter circles before?
No.
Cuz Henry only comes to like, Charlotte.
Oh, okay, fair enough.
You know, and so.
He has other commitments. He's got other business ventures. He's, he has other business ventures.
Yeah, he's a team owner. He's busy. So yeah, like after with Henry, after I was driving up to Joe, I texted Dallas, I said, get Henry.
And he said, on it, he's like, I'm already at the trailer. Like, cuz I noticed he wasn't there. I was like, Oh, I must have lost him, but he was getting Henry priorities.
Yes.
So the conversation, I saw your hand, and I saw you had all your notes on your hand for Joe.
Oh, I tried. Yeah.
Yeah. So when you go up there, like, well, the last, like just being up there with Joe, cuz you're friends with Joe.
Yeah.
And, you know, so up there, like talking, and then there's a lot of people in the grandstands, there's all these sportsmen people that had to have been just like really pretty cool.
Well, I was like, first off, don't look in the stands, or you'll cry again. I was like, I just cried with Amanda, and I'm fine.
You didn't want to go to Jag and just give Jag the point in the grandstands.
Yeah, I should have been like, Hey, homie. And so I like, I was like, okay, I am okay to do this one with Joe. And thank God, my car was right in like parked right in front of the stage.
So I could like read my sponsor. Because I was like trying to ride it and I didn't know I was going to be second.
They did like Brenda Grubbs and I thought that they would like do super comp next or like, I don't know. And so I literally had like a Sharpie.
And it said Brad on it. And like trying to do other stuff, but it just said rad.
And I was like, thank God this car is in front of me right now. Yes.
Oh, my God.
Well, said he can't wait to see in Sonoma.
Enjoy this. And please keep dropping those videos because I'm sure there's just more golden also shout out to the life's a drag community.
If you have video or photos, please throw them on the interwebs because we would love to hear.
So have a great 4th of July. All that good stuff.
And I like your shirt, Abby. It's very nice.
Oh yeah. So she was super excited about this has been a, you know, she was raving about your shirt and she was wearing Melanie Johnson shirt.
I love Melanie's shirt.
Everyone should get Melanie Johnson's shirts.
Yes.
They are so comfortable. They have a women's fit.
They're cute. They're like a pretty cream color.
I love mine.
Yeah.
I wear it.
As soon as I saw it, I was like, add to cart.
All the time.
So she doesn't have a great way of selling them other than you just going to her website.
So buy them from her website, please.
Do it or we'll be mad at you.
But I also get Sadie stuff.
And listen to Sadie. She's a national event winner.
Yes. She knows what she's talking about.
Yeah.
I'm so smart now that I have done that.
I'm these.
I really, I really want you to change.
I want you to become like the best version of yourself.
But also we're going to need to see an Arab Arians of like.
Yeah.
Exactly.
A lot of demands.
A lot of demands in the press room about where you're sitting.
Yeah.
I feel like you should be able to up your snack request game.
For sure.
Your parking status should improve.
I better get like a primo spot like they do for in Charlotte.
Yeah.
I'm just saying.
Right.
Well, we'll make sure you get a really, really good spot in Dallas at the stampede of speed.
Yes.
Oh my gosh.
We're probably the best.
You'll have a lot of fun putting the little name cards together.
So here, here's the deal.
Sadie shirt.
I think I'm going to.
So all my shirts sold out last year, but I, I think I might need to do some new shirts.
I think you do.
I think I just need to bite the bullet.
I think there needs to be a first, a Sadie Glenn first win shirt.
Or yeah, I have like this beautiful Wally on it.
I know that's totally pretentious, but no, no, I, I, I feel like if, if by some, the,
the confluence that would have to happen for me to actually win a Wally,
I would wear it like Flava Flav, where's that clock?
Yes.
Like it would be constant, or I would just hire someone to be my trophy carrier.
Yes.
That you just have some like, which I'm volunteering myself at future events to
just walk around with you.
I just have it in my suitcase.
Like it's so heavy.
Like whoever that guy, like Jerome, who's the guy that was for Morris day in the
time, that's just Morris day's hype guy.
That just, I would just walk around with you and my trophy in a full,
I have a tuxedo full tuxedo beer in your diamond Wally.
Just to just do that.
I'm imagining I'm down with it.
And just announce your presence every time you walk into a room.
Welcoming Sadie Glenn.
Top Dragster winner of the Norwalk Summit Racing Equipment Nationals.
2020 or something.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like Cinderella when she was at the ball.
You will, trust me, you will eventually need to tell us, Hey,
let's, let's let it go.
Yeah.
Like,
Actually, I think we're just going to be riding the coattails of this win
until I either win another one.
Yeah.
Or just forever.
I think forever.
I hope everyone's okay with like photos of me crying because I'm going to
post those today.
Yeah.
Well, I'm sure you have like a million photos from a million different people.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You could really drag this out.
And at minimum, you at least have a solid two weeks like with no
national.
I'm going to stay right now when you make your Shutterfly book.
Put me down for one.
Okay.
Shutterfly.
Oh my God.
Did that just age me a little bit?
Boomer.
I made a Shutterfly book.
No, I'm just kidding.
I mean, I make, I make them for my clients like every couple of years,
like of my favorite photos that I took of them.
So yeah.
So that's just for sure.
Shutterfly worthy.
Okay.
I guess we'll let you go.
Sadie.
Okay.
Cause it should be like a year,
but cause then we all want to sign them.
Yeah.
That'd be sweet.
So all right.
We're now.
Let's go.
All right.
Sadie have a great rest of the day.
Happy fourth.
Bye.
That was a real Southern goodbye.
Yeah.
Should we pay some bills?
Let's pay some bills and regroup and get our emotions back in check.
And when we come back,
we'll actually talk about other things besides Sadie.
Glenn, uh, from the summer race and come to Norwalk nationals.
I guess.
I guess we have to.
The number one source of friction in your engine is not what you think.
Piston rings rubbing against the cylinder walls generate more friction
than any other part of the engine.
More friction and temperature means more wear and less horsepower.
Fortunately, the team at total seal knows how to reduce friction and wear
through innovative piston ring design.
If it takes a piston, total seal could build a better ring.

Alright, we're going to come back here.
Let me get a little distracted.
Got a little distracted.
It makes 4th of July plans.
Alright, so want to thank Sadie for jumping on
and talking about top dragster.
Yes.
So now let's get in and break down Super Gas
for the Norwalk Nationals.
Oh no.
Just kidding.
The Mission Foods drag racing series also did not disappoint.
No, not even a little bit.
Our main super fan and pro stock motorcycle, Richard Gadsden,
defeated his teammate, Gage Herrera, in the pro stock final.
So Richard got his ice cream scoop and continued to keep a
stranglehold on pro stock motorcycle.
Yeah, he has a lot of points lead once this season.
No, and the cool thing about seeing Richard out and about is
he is doing a lot of stuff besides riding and tuning
his own bike.
Yes.
Beyond big brothers, big sisters, which he does at 6 races.
Yeah, he cruises his own bike.
So he's already probably one of the busiest people on the
property and then he takes time out of his day to participate
in the ice cream eating contest and sign autographs.
Which he immediately regretted.
Yes, he said the brain freeze was pretty crazy.
But yes, and then he also signs autographs at the right to
breathe display with Joe Morrison, continuing to spread the
good word about the work that they do to have people take
their lung health more seriously.
So he's doing things like that.
He's winning Mission Too Fast Too Tasty.
And so then he's, you know, he won it all this weekend.
Yeah, participating in that autograph session and he's
doing all the things and kicking ass at all of it.
Yeah, could not be happier for him.
Yes.
And then Pro Stock rolls around and you think it's going to be
the Greg and Dallas show, but like Sadie touched on earlier,
Dallas Shaka Shaks had a gas leak, fuel line break or
something on his car.
Well, and then Kenny Delco trailers, number one qualifier,
Greg Anderson.
Greg Anderson in the first round with like a, like a 003
light by Kenny Delco, which God bless Kenny Delco.
But that's just ridiculous.
So that's again, two big round wins for Kenny Delco.
Yes.
Because he automatic, he got a buy to the semis.
Yeah.
And he got a buy the semis and now he's in Mission Too Fast Too
Tasty, which super excited him for him on that.
Yes.
And then Aaron Stanfield manages to just continue to just,
he may become the new 00 assassin in Pro Stock.
No kidding.
Because he was 00 all day.
He gets around Matt Hartford in the final and puts elite back in
the winter circle and Pro Stock.
Yes.
His second win of the season.
Second win of the season.
I mean, he's,
he's, he's an elite and he's another busy guy because now also
competing in pro mod.
Yeah.
For a pro mod whole rest of the season.
So yeah, that was really, really fun to see.
Um, and then,
Oh, where are you going?
Well, I was going to say, then we go to the nitro classes.
Well, let's, let's take a step back from nitro quick.
Doug Gordon first.
Yes.
We do.
Doug Gordon, alcohol fighting car.
Yes.
Basically,
Sean Bellamure has been literally unstoppable all season.
Yep.
Like that is not hyperbole.
He has not lost one single round of racing in 2026.
Until now.
Until he ran into Doug Gordon in the final round of Norwalk and
got beat.
And again, I love,
I love starting line videos, but the Gordon family,
they have all the fields.
They must have shoes that give them extra like height.
Jump in the air.
They should go to the NFL combine.
Yeah.
Because Maddie and her sister have hops.
Yes.
And watching them just lose their mind when Doug beat Sean
Bellamure was just ridiculous.
It was so cool.
You know, and then, you know, then it kind of sets up a.
What, you know, what could happen now?
What could happen?
Like the potential was there.
And it was funny, like before the mission foods.
Final started out what happened to be at the top end.
Cause I was talking to Taylor Deech who stopped the Jonathan
El Grucci pain train.
Showdown.
Showdown.
But Bill Bader was up there handing out ice cream scoops and,
you know, I do a lot with the motorplex.
He's a great track operator at Summit Motorsports Park.
And I was like, Hey man.
You know, leave some crumbs for the rest of the track operators.
You can't have, you know, Doug Gordon beating, you know, Sean
Bellamure, and then you potentially the Ryan caps double
up and made a Gordon's first win.
And, you know, Sadie Glenn, you know, leave something for the
rest of us.
And he was like, absolutely not.
He goes, we're winning everything.
We're taking everything, which I fully respect.
So yeah.
So Doug Gordon wins.
That sets up potential for.
We get into the Nitro class and, you know, again, if you want
to double up, you got to one up.
Yes.
And Ron caps, Guido tuned that thing up.
And he, he drove that thing right in the winter circle, which
was always love to see my man, Ron caps.
That's 80th crew win.
Yeah.
So now he's at the top end.
Yes.
Waiting and watching the final.
Maddie Gordon's first final.
She's running three time world champion and Trump Brown.
Yes.
See four times.
Does he have four?
Four.
Yes.
Four time.
Four time.
Top field world champion.
And she beats him.
Just Rob Flynn.
Yeah.
And I got to be, I am so happy for Rob Flynn too.
Yes.
This is a guy who has crew chiefing skills and he's been let
go.
He's had to find jobs.
You know, he was really honestly out of the sport until Ron
caps hired him to tune Maddie's car.
Yeah.
Which is crazy.
Cause he is obviously.
He's got it.
He has crew chief.
Yeah.
You know, so.
Maddie wins the seeing her reaction inside the car.
Insane.
I want to.
I want to hear the audio.
There has to be audio out there.
I'm hoping.
But you know, I got it.
You know, she comes around the top and hops out.
Immediately goes and hugs Ron.
They're top end interviews are spectacular.
Yes.
They have all the feels.
If anyone tries to tell, if anyone tries to give Maddie
Gordon any tips.
On how she should conduct herself in either interviews or just
in general.
I'm just going to tell you right now.
Shut the F up.
Exactly.
There's she is quintessentially no notes.
She is spectacular.
And the fact that she calls.
Ron.
Just.
Just.
Just so genuine.
Yeah.
You could tell it's not a bit for her like she.
No, she's just like, like, it's like respectful kind of
reverence.
But like you saw, like capses, capses.
Top end reaction.
But the Gordon family reaction on the starting line.
Was just again.
Which what makes an HRA drag racing so great.
Exactly.
You get to see families that are supporting each other.
Families are at the rick competing against each other.
You know that you just don't see that in any other sport.
And anyone that's not buying into the genuineness of these
reactions.
Needs to have.
You know, their head examined.
Or the heart.
Or their heart.
Yes, exactly.
You know.
But yeah, so.
You get the Ron caps motorsports double, which only took 10 races.
Yes.
Which is like.
Spectacular.
How long did it take like JFR and.
Years seasons.
It took forever.
Took Coletta like four or five years, I think.
It took JFR like two or three seasons.
Yeah.
So they said, let's just do this in half a season.
Let's just go ahead and get it right out of the way.
Let's just get it all the way.
And.
And just to continue.
To validate Ron's decision to put Maddie in the car.
To.
Validate how that organization and have for Carlisle tools to
step up.
I haven't.
Carlisle people are feel pretty good about their.
They gotta be.
Cause also.
You know, again, we talked about Sadie social media, but Maddie
social media.
I mean, she's.
Actively using those tools.
Yeah, she's doing shop projects and chronicling it.
I just think it's just a complete.
Perfect package. I mean, monster has to be over the moon.
Yeah.
With her, you know, getting in the winter circle.
And she's in a new monster add, by the way.
Yeah.
I haven't seen that yet. We need to.
We need to go track that down.
They used one like a clip of one of her top end from one of her
top end interviews in a couple. It's a compilation.
Sure.
Really hype.
I mean, it's a monster ad. What do you expect?
Yeah.
Yeah.
One of the long, it was one of the longest press room interviews
I've ever seen because they let Maddie go first by herself for
a little bit. And then Ron joined her.
And that room was packed.
And just, yeah, the energy was high.
Yeah.
You could just tell, like.
They were both so emotional.
Right.
Ron caps has achieved a lot in his career.
And I still think that was this week when it's probably like.
Top five.
Or maybe even three.
Yeah.
I bet.
Yes.
And then he would, he would agree with that.
That that.
Was big for his organization.
It's continuing to grow.
Yes.
You know, he's building it and, you know, trying to build it on
strong financial footing.
He got super honest about that in the press room that he's not
taking his own.
He's not even taking a salary.
He's just trying to make that race program work.
You know, so.
I think people are going to look back at this Norwalk race and be
like, this was a.
Top five race of all time.
Yes.
Well, I told Alyssa.
Who runs the summit motorsports park social media's channels.
She's fantastic.
She's also a little bit of Bill Bader's handler.
But she can be spotted literally all over the place.
And she's in a lot of like the background of the like top end
videos and stuff.
She's awesome.
But I was talking to her after the race and I was like,
this weekend was magic.
And a lot of that is out of the tracks control.
Like you, a track can't pick who's going to win at the race.
But they created the environment.
Yes.
For the magic to happen.
And.
Cause that is like the most perfect track.
For all of this stuff.
To happen at.
Yeah.
America's race track, getting an ice cream scoop.
Right before the fourth of July weekend.
Right before fourth of July weekend.
A really kind of like halfway point in the season.
It just was so.
Cool.
Yeah.
And thank you.
Memphis line.
I wanted to touch on this.
The.
Chuck grows with.
You know, she broke it.
People forget she broke an airline in the first round.
And Spencer Massies and his team.
Waited.
For them to get it fixed.
And Chuck is the car chief on that dragster.
And I mean.
I was literally on, I was down there with Joe Morrison.
And I was right there.
And Spencer's team waited as long as they could.
Until the NHRA literally told him.
You have to start your car.
And so he did.
Cause then you can get into trouble.
If you don't listen to the official starter.
But then he did a longer than normal burnout.
And slow rolled it back completely with the mindset of.
Giving Maddie's team.
Every opportunity to get that airline fixed.
So they could get the car started.
And I think it lasted just long enough for them to win.
Yeah.
I think, you know, Maddie was super complimentary of Spencer.
I think everyone.
We'll go back and look at, yes, Maddie got her first win.
And.
Player of the game could be Spencer Massie.
Well.
So she, that show of good sportsmanship basically from Spencer.
And then she did get a win over him.
And then she continued on a murderer's row.
Right.
Against Tony Stewart.
Sean Langdon.
Yeah.
And then Antron Brown.
Like.
That was, there were no, no easy rounds there.
That's impressive.
Yeah.
Especially right now with how dominant Sean Langdon has been.
And Antron Brown is the most recent.
Event winner before.
Yeah.
So.
Yeah.
No easy wins at any level of that day.
Yeah.
So just a great weekend.
Cannot thank the Bader family.
For all their, you know, having a great facility.
Supporting everything. I mean, just the whole,
the whole weekend was just spectacular.
Can't wait.
It's still kind of sinking in how great the weekend was.
Yes.
You having ice cream rolls?
I am.
I actually did not eat any ice cream all weekend.
I know.
I realized that Monday on our drive back, I was like,
I was around ice cream.
We did an ice cream social and the flexion hospitality.
I had a pint today.
That was good.
That's good.
That's fair.
That's normally where I am.
But yeah, I just never.
I don't know that I was sitting down enough to like.
Enjoy a pint.
But we'll fix that next year. Yeah.
So.
I vote for wrapping the show up and was saving,
keeping some of our powder dry for next week.
We got a couple off weeks.
Yes.
We'll be able to recap 4th of July.
Next Wednesday also dive, you know,
into some more things about Norwalk and looking ahead to
Sonoma and Seattle.
Yes.
But again,
signing for Drag Race Bracket Bonanza.
