Hello, everybody. Welcome back to the Fast and the Curious Gold. This is a celebration of some
of our exciting friends. Oh, lovely. I enjoyed that. I'm not letting you get away with
that. That was the high notes there. Very impressive for the winter months.
Lovely. Do you want to just remind me what the episode is called again?
Gold. That's quite good. It was good. I don't know anything. Got a little bit of that up there,
up my sleeve. This is a celebration of some of our favorite moments over the last three
seasons. There is one driver that has sort of epitomized our favorite moments. This driver
is everything that the Fast and the Curious is about. He sums us up.
I get asked, it's my most frequently asked question, second to what's Greg James like.
And that is second, I think. Still my most frequently asked question is who's your
favorite Formula One driver? And I always give the same answer. Don't only have a favorite on
track. Even when I was growing up, didn't really sort of was Jensen Button, but only slightly.
I've always loved the sport rather than individual drivers. But I always go,
I do have favorites to interview, and they always go, who? And I always say, I believe
that my favorite driver to interview is Alex Albon. Because he's comedy gold. He's so nice
and so normal and so down to earth and so willing to have a chat and totally willing
for that chat, not to be about Formula One racing. His mind wanders in spectacular directions.
And as you say, Betty, that is what this podcast is all about. He just epitomizes us. I love
chatting to Alex Albon. I remember in our first season of doing this podcast, we interviewed
Alex Albon. And I was a bit sort of, I guess like apprehensive interviewing Formula One drivers
at the beginning because I've interviewed a lot of different sports people over the years from
football to Olympic sports, whatever. But I didn't know what to expect from Formula One drivers.
I was just like, oh, I just, I don't know what they're going to be like, if they're going
to be relaxed, if they're going to take themselves really seriously. And I remember sitting down
and doing this interview with Alex Albon. And he just started talking about any old
that came to his head. He was talking about all of his pets. He was talking about his family. He
was talking about, I mean, he's talked to us about rocking up in a, what are those swan things
called? Those little headlifts. Yeah. Yeah. Just anything. And I just remember thinking, oh,
yeah, I quite like this sport. He's drives away, aren't they? Would you say Alex Albon has helped
you fall in love with the sport? He has indeed. He has indeed. He's excellent. And he's had a
pretty decent season. Williams have had a really good season. I'm so interested to see what Williams
end up doing next season as well. So that's going to be fascinating. And I just fingers crossed
hope Alex Albon thrives. He had a great season. It all went a bit wrong from Baku.
Like he had his first two thirds of the season were fantastic. And, and like,
Carlos Sainz comes into Williams this season, and everybody goes, oh, it's going to be a
massive test for Alex Albon. And Carlos really struggled to adapt to the car. We saw that
with Hamilton. Like we saw that with drivers that moved teams. It was tricky to adapt in
this last year with these rule sets, while drivers have been used to the cars they've been driving.
But so everyone was like, oh, Alex is going to struggle against Carlos. And the start of the
season, some unbelievable results. I mean, he came out and got fifth in Australia and you were
like, wow. And then two more fifths in, what was it, Miami and Imola, like astonishing. And
this is in the season where Williams had said, oh, it's going to be tricky for us because
we're pumping so much development into 2026. And he was just brilliant. And the final
third of the season was more of a struggle. But I actually think there was also so much
bad luck in there. There were so many like Q1 exits where another half a tenth they needed
been through so many little niggles that went wrong during the race and reliability issues.
So I said all season with Carlos, like, I'm not worried about Carlos. Alex is doing brilliant.
I'm not worried about Carlos. His class was trying through. I'm not saying the same with
Alex. It's a long season. He struggled a bit in the last third. I just not worried about
him. And I think it's extremely exciting for Alex in 2026 with the new car. I think Alex,
by the way, go back to like a previous part of Alex Albon's career. He was praised for how
much he helped Red Bull develop their car in that year out he had after losing the Red Bull
seat when he was Red Bull's test driver. So he's a really good asset for Williams to have.
They've got two drivers in Alex and Carlos who are both brilliant with feedback.
So I think that'll help Williams. And I'm so excited to see him carry on his career
in 2026. I think he's a great driver. And I want to see Alex on the podium. Carlos had his
podiums this season, Petty. I want Albon podium in 2026. That's on my ear. Oh my God.
He deserves, he deserves a podium does that man. Also, it's just really funny. I was just
looking at his social media and he has posted a picture of him lounging on a sun lounger
and has written P8 calls for a toast. I love it. He hates 73 points. Yeah. I mean,
the outside, the big boys, P8, like the best of the rest. Absolutely brilliant for him. And Carlos
on 9th, the end in 64. Brilliant. I tell you what, I think we should do, Petty, to celebrate his
P8. I think we should listen and watch some of his best bits. Yeah, guys, grab a cup of tea,
grab a coffee, grab a, grab a cheeky vino and enjoy this. May 2023. Alex Albon,
welcome back to the Fast and the Curious. Thank you. Pleasure to be back. I've never
been to Miami before. What do I need to know about this place? That's good because also,
I've only been here once before. I'm sure as you've realised arriving to this place,
it's hot. So hot. And it's a bit of a shock to the system when you come here. Get ready for
the heat. Okay. They stopped. And that's it. It's hot. It's just hot. Well, you look
tanned. You don't look like you've been away from heat. You've been on the golf course.
I am ethnically suited to these conditions. Yes. I would actually say Thailand and
Miami are very similar in humidity and heat. That's not to say that I don't live in Thailand,
unfortunately. No, of course. So I'm faithfully used to it. But I did go to the golf course.
I have a special helmet this weekend. I have a golf ball helmet,
which is pretty cool. You have to see it. Last time you were on the podcast,
you mentioned that you can't let your girlfriend teach you because it goes wrong.
And you were with your girlfriend in the break playing golf. So how did that go?
I shot to career best, 83, which is very good for me. Her coach now teaches me,
which has improved. And I do listen to him over her. So it's all going on the up.
I can see myself going pro in a matter of days.
You may not be able to race Sunday because you get a call up to the PGA
racing wise. Yes. What are you expecting this weekend?
I have to say this track, if you were to draw a circuit that doesn't suit our car,
it would look a little bit like the Miami circuit. Ideal, good. Ideal. But saying that,
we were actually not that bad last year and we scored our best finishing position,
which was ninth. So there's optimism here. We've come off a stretch of good races,
good pace. Let's see. Every driver we get on this podcast, one topic tends to
capture our listener's imagination. Your teammates standing behind us, burgers for you.
Burgers. Does he have a burger obsession? Burger obsession. Yeah. Well, that's very American
of him, isn't it? He knows he's playing up to the stereotype. But we get so many messages about
your cats. Yes. Any more cats? Cats good? I always forget how many I have. We're looking
to get a horse, another horse, to accompany the one horse. Oh, this is big. Oh, we have a dog
since you last retoke. So we've added a dog and with long story short, there's a, in our village,
there's like a village paddock. Yes. And there was a horse there that was friends of our horse,
and they were very friendly and they were best friends. So you're adopting the horse? This
horse passed away. Oh. So our horse is now, our horse is very lonely. And so we need to find a
horse to accompany our horse. So we're looking to adopt a horse that's also lonely or just maybe
he's retired and has no use. And a lot of horsing companies, I don't know what you call them,
stables. When the horse isn't being used anymore to teach kids or whatever, there's no
use for them. So we are looking for a horse to accompany our horse. Okay. Does that make
sense? Yeah. Well, get in the DMs, listeners, if you've got any good horse recommendations.
Not in my DMs. No, our DMs. Your DMs. Our DMs. I don't need, I don't need the horse content
in my DMs. And very briefly, what breeds the dog, the new dog? Border Collie. Border Collie. Yes.
Okay. So the Alex Albon Animal News is new dog and horse on the way. Yes. Sending your horse
to CV. Yeah. It's job, what is, what is history? What is, you know, what jobs has it done
in the past? It might have a conviction record. It maybe was used as a mule. We can't have that
publicity at Albon Pets. It's bad publicity. We've got to, we've got to keep it clean.
I never know where a chat with you is going to go and I love it so much. Alex, thank you.
Thank you. We'll chat to you probably soon. Yes. Yes. I'll catch you soon.
This is an advert for eBay. Oh, guys, don't you think car buying has become a pretty
dull experience? I personally cannot think of anything less exciting, but on eBay behind every car
and part is a story waiting to be shared. Like this guy I read about who bought a 2020 Porsche
Cayman GT4 on eBay. It was well loved. I mean, there are plenty of Caymans in great condition
on eBay, but this one, it needed a lot of work. So after this guy gets a great deal
on his dream car, he rebuilds it. The whole thing with all of these parts that he found
on eBay. Performance breaks, suspension, body panels, the absolute works. Next thing you know,
this nearly scrap Cayman was out there on the track as a full blown race car. You're ready to go daily
driver. Your next Resto mod, that means restoration plus modification, if you didn't know. eBay has
thousands of cars and is the largest online selection of vehicle parts and accessories.

August 2023. So this is unexpected. I've just sprinted back from a coffee shop,
because I got a text saying, we've got an emergency interview with Alex Albon. Alex,
thank you so much for joining us. Thank you, thank you. Yes, we appreciate the U-turn.
When Betty says last minute, this is the most last minute F1 interview we've ever done. Greg said on
the podcast before, we mobilized the troops and we drop everything literally with about 15
minutes. It's like, oh, we're talking to Alex Albon, like now. Okay, fine. Alex, I've even
cancelled my lunchtime spin class. I'm that committed to talking to you, you know, that much.
You didn't strike me as a spin class kind of guy. Oh, what does he strike you as?
No, no, just, just like spin class to me, you know, you're wearing the spandex,
but you've got the, you've got the, the, the foamy pants on. Yeah. I can't see it.
But, but then I can't, I can imagine you with a sweatband.
Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I like a gym session and I like to mix up my cardio, Alex. So it's, it's,
where do you go for your spin class? Well, I've just moved to a new gym in the Elephant and
Castle area of London, Alex. Beautiful. Yeah. It's going fine. It's going fine. I like a spin
class. It's lots of music and it's quite high camp. So it suits me well. Amazing. I love it.
Yeah. May 2024. Look who's here. Oh, it's the one and only Alex Albarn.
Alex Christian just called himself a paddock pillow. Do you think that is,
do you think that's fair? Pillow. Pillow. Yeah. Paddock pillow.
What is that idiot? It's quite an old fashioned word. I think he's dying out a bit.
It is. I haven't heard that word in a long time. I, I agree with it though. I think
there's, there's loads of legs. It's just a bit of a paddock pillow. I don't know. It's a bit of a
tongue twister. Yeah. I would have called yourself like, I don't know, Christian.
I don't know. That needs work. If I'm honest, that needs, that needs more. You don't know where
you're going with this, do you? Just wait with his hands. I can't do anything.
Right. We'll move on. We'll move on. Alex, the last time we spoke to you was in New York
before the season started. So it's been ages. You've signed a new deal with Williams.
We've got to catch up with you. Congratulations, by the way. Thank you.
And how's it, how's it all going? You feeling happy? It feels great. First of all, obviously,
wish it kind of had a better season to kind of announce my, my extension in my contract.
But at the same time, yeah, you know, obviously I've been very close with James
and at the board and everyone at Williams. And so it felt like a lovely kind of happy
talk process, I guess it was. And yeah, now I'll be buying a few more yachts in the future.
Not just one yacht, several yachts is the exclusive.
You're not going to name who it was, but I was speaking to a driver the other day
and he was talking to me about how he is going to get a yacht. And then he told me that that yacht's
too big and he needs a, he needs a more David yacht boat yacht to, to, to satisfy his other
aquatic needs. I was just like, what contracts are you on?
It's so annoying, isn't it? Isn't it? No, it's the worst thing when the yacht,
your fan's too big. It's the worst thing. I was like, unbelievable, unbelievable.
I wanted to punch in there there. You should have for that statement alone. It deserved a punch in
the face. Doesn't it sound ridiculous? And I had to remind that person of how ridiculous they sound.
Yeah, good. How's your massive yacht causing you any more trouble? Is it?
Yeah, literally it's too big to part. You know, we, we get like a, we get an allocation
for drivers when we come to Monaco. So I think back to the day, there's a quite a lot of drivers that
own boats or yachts. And so you get given an allocation. Obviously if you don't have a boat,
you don't take it. But it's a thing. I think an ego thing I want to fill my
parking space. I think I'd rent in a yacht or even a crap boat just to put something there.
Can you rent something in? Yeah, yeah, like one of them pedal, pedal boats.
Yeah. You should get one of the big white swans, Alex. Just rock up and park it next to everyone's
big yacht. Brilliant. It'll take me about 45 minutes to get to the, to the, to my docking
pace. I'll have to leave on the harbour next to the Monaco one, which is actually
not too far in terms of distance. But if it's choppy up there, imagine I go to a track
Sunday morning, want to make an entrance to myself. I come in on my swan, swan pedal boat.
Oh, that'd be amazing. The tide's too strong and I can't out pedal the tide. And I just get
taken off to a can. And I'm just, just this guy who's this swan boat just going around the
south of France. So it's fine because the, the FIA have a safety swan who they would send
out to help you in that situation. It's driven still by Byrne Mylander in it like a swan
thing. He's going to come out and get you. Mother's son's going to come and get me.
Okay, Alex. It's lovely to have you on the podcast. Enjoy some home comforts this weekend.
And I hope that obviously Monaco goes well. And we look forward to the long-term progress
at Williams Your Guardless. Thank you very much. It's always an honor.
He has to say that though. I say that. I don't mean it.
February, 2025. Alex. Hello. This is where, well, you think you're live, live podcast.
Have I done this before? Yes. Well, this podcast. Yeah. Yeah. I know that, but live.
Oh, in person. In person. Yes, you have. Yeah. Sorry. No, it's all right.
Anyway, Alex, you think we're doing a podcast, but this is actually where the truck starts
moving and we kidnap you. Good. Well, if you, if we go 50-50 with a ransom, then I'm happy.
Okay, great. We can do that, can't we? It does look like we're in a bit of an underground
bunker. So do you know where we are? Basically, this is obviously a parts truck,
but recently we've been just, especially for events like this, we will have the car pretty much
already done. So it's almost just comes out ready to go. Oh, the car was in here.
The car was in here. Yeah. Yeah. So I think if you, most likely the space we're in, if you
imagine it's actually the right size for Nefronka. Yeah, it is. So it's likely here is where the
car was. Good, isn't it? It's brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. And we turned it into
a makeshift podcast studio, which if you're not watching on YouTube, imagine that you're like,
we finished today and we can't fit the car in. And it's because you guys have moved stuff around.
Yes, because we've actually messed it up. Yeah. How is things with Carlos signs?
I'd heard rumors that you lived next door to each other at one point. We did.
We did. Why? Directly next to each other. Not, not just like people say neighbors.
We, we were neighbors neighbors. Yeah. Yes. So, um, my room was here, let's say,
it's not very good podcast. Well, it's on YouTube as well. This is good. It's a good plug for the
YouTube channel. My, my, my door was directly opposite his door. Why? Why were you? Because
there is not that much apartment options in Monaco. Yeah, sure. And if you want somewhere that,
because Monaco is quite an old city. Yeah. And if you want something a bit newer, a bit
fresher, it narrows your options even more so. And so, um, I've been there. I was the OG.
I was there from day one. And he moved in next to you. He moved in next to me.
So maybe he just wanted to be near me. And what was he like as a neighbor?
Fine. Uh, I didn't really see him that much a couple of times past him in this,
in the, in the elevator. He was obviously, um, he was far away back then that this was
pre, pre, pre Williams. Um, he's moved out by the way. He's gone. He's, uh, he's gone on to bigger
better. And are you still there? I'm still there. Uh, did you help him move? No, no, but,
but I just little things like I can know. I know what his delivery order is like.
Tell us, tell us, tell us. What does Carl Osirons deliver? Well, everything really,
yeah, but more sushi. I would say, I can't remember. I can't even remember now. Maybe
I'm putting, no, he's going to ask you that. No, I don't need that. But he, he does like,
I know he likes caviar. Of course he does. I'm going to put him on the spot there. But, uh,
sushi caviar and definitely pasta. I think, um, he's girlfriend cooks good food. So he says.
Okay. Um, so maybe less take out than now. Anyway, this is a proper rent.
No, it was interesting. No one cares about where we are. Oh, no, they do. I think,
you know, I think you'll, yeah, you're one of our favorites on this podcast, Alex,
because we don't ever spend much time talking about formula one. We go off on tangents about
animals. We always ask you every time you aren't. How's the animal collection out on HQ?
You want the good story or the bad story? Good story. No, no, bad story first. Then good
story. Quick story. Um, one of them has cancer. Oh, which one? Lucky. Well, a dog is,
what is a dog? White cat. White cat. Oh, we wish Lucky all the best. That's really sad.
Yeah, not so lucky at the moment. No, no, evidently not. No. And then, um,
the good news end on a high. End on the high. They're still the same amount.
Right. Okay. It wasn't quite as high as we're hoping for. None of them have died.
Down on that bombshell, Alex Halbom. Thank you.

May 2025. Oh, Alex Alvons in the lobby. Okay. Oh, he's coming. Right. Betty, don't panic and
ask about cats first. Okay. Okay. I'll let him in. I'll let him in. Actually,
do you know what, Betty? I think you should just do it. Do it. Just do it. Go for it.
Alex. Hey. Hey. Alex, how's the cat? Oh, it doesn't look that good. Sorry. What are we
saying? What do you say? Is your cat still alive? The one that was in? No. Go on.
Worst case scenario. It went like a week ago. This is exactly what we did once
happened. I said we shouldn't have started with the cat. I said this. I brought my mum here to
make her feel better. It gets worse. Oh, God. Just don't make it too awkward. Let's roll with this.
However, on the plus side, things are going well at Williams. There we go. There we go. That's a
nice turnaround. Yeah. No, it's been going very well. We've started off out the box pretty strong.
I would say the car's feeling obviously very good. And we're rolling with it for now. I don't
think it's going to last. Oh, God. But we are soaking it in. I think not sounding too technical,
but we obviously know other teams are going to upgrade their cars pretty soon, if not already,
this weekend. And so we might for... I don't think... The thing is we're actually in a point
where even if they bring upgrades, we still might be quicker than other cars. But yeah,
I mean, last race was amazing. You must be really enjoying it. Are you? It looks like you're having
a time of your life. It's a weird feeling though, because of course you're enjoying it. At the same
time, it feels like every weekend is a time to take the chances, take opportunities, execute
well. So there's a feeling of not... It's not expectation, but it's more just... There's
a bit of pressure in terms of we've got a car now. We can go into every weekend and
we can score points. So we should score points. To answer your question, I think our expectations
on Williams are... Oh, you know, we're going to say the same pretty low. We're just expecting
total dominance and at least five seasons of Williams' World Championship. So again,
there's no pressure from us, Alex. It'll be fine. Alex, you're going to be back-to-back
World Champion. Back-to-back World Champion. You're going to be flying.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's good. Check what my bonus is on my championship.
So the mood would be cautiously optimistic, it seems like at the minute, but with a little
question mark on the horizon of, well, we'll just see how it goes in the next few weeks.
I'm amazed. I'm really love hearing honesty from inside the team of like,
yeah, we're not sure how the next couple of weeks are going to go. I think it's why
people like Williams, because you sort of weigh your heart's biggest leave.
I think there's no dreaming going on. And at the same time, we are kind of big,
especially with our investors, Dorotan, they're really patient and see the journey that we're on.
And so I don't think we have to hide. I think other manufacturers maybe need to
always hype and sell, where we can stay in our little routine, our journey. And everyone
believes it. So the energy within the team is great.
James Val always seems like he's got like, he's so measured with everything he says.
And he's, he's like, you know, just do you see those videos he delivers? He's so calm,
cool and collected. Is he ever like wild? Have you ever seen him?
You know, I would love to see him wild. I have not seen him wild, unfortunately.
Maybe we need to kind of spike his drink or something. I don't know.
Yeah, you do that. You do that.
The problem with James is very often we have to speak after him. Whenever we do
speeches towards the factory at Grove, or if it's the race team here, or if it's to partners,
it's obvious that James should lead the conversation. He starts the conversation
and then he'll kind of always pin it towards us. And he'll always say,
okay, Alex, what would you have to say? And I'm just like,
I like cheese. I like cheese. I don't know. I can't follow that up.
What do you want from me? Okay, so what are you going to do? You're going to,
you're going to, you're basically going to, you should make him some special brownies and
say, I'll make me some brownies and see what happens.
I think he's the opposite. I think he's like a bit more punchy, a bit more mushroom.
A couple of shots of vodka. I'm going to move this swiftly on. Alex,
just to tell you about Miami for a second, I obviously am around you guys a lot. See you
all in the paddock. And I have never seen the Formula One drivers happier than I said that again.
I mean, I'm nodding in agreement 100%.
Happy. Well, the Lego, the Lego, isn't it? You know exactly where I was going with it.
I have never seen a group of 20 top level athletes happier than when they were given
Lego cars to drive. Talk to me about that because I've just never seen you all look so
happy, you big kids. It may be the most fun we all have this year. People talk about,
oh, you're P5, P5. All I can remember was a Lego race. It was, I don't know why, but
you're right. We are just 20 kids. And I spoke to Stefano afterwards,
because I think obviously he was a big part of that. And I was like, what's the plan?
We're going to win the championship. We're going to do it. We're going to do whatever's left.
How many races are there? 18, 17 races? We should do a Lego championship.
Oh, my God, you should. Oh, there'll be all over it.
I said, it would be amazing. I mean, the chaos we caused, the debris on the track was
insane. We crashed with George in the last corner. These things are heavy. The Lego pieces,
a lot of Lego pieces are heavy. So we damaged the wall. So there was a huge, huge clear up,
but so much fun. I think if they, if they increase the speed, maybe
to, I think we were stuck at 20 miles an hour. No, 20 kilometers an hour,
because I was thinking about running and pushing Carlos, but I thought at 20 kilometers an hour,
I don't think I'd be much use of that. But still quicker than Formula E. So, you know,
just before we let you go, because I know you're on a bit of a time restraint, we have got George
Russell coming on after you. Is there anything we need to ask him? Can you, can you give us a
good question? What's he been up to recently? Yeah, give us some insight. Give us some intel.
I was in Monaco last week, and I asked him like, oh, let me know if you're up to do anything.
I'm free, basically. He said, oh, yeah, yeah, I'm busy. I'm busy. He was on a yacht for two days.
So he aired you basically. He aired me. He aired me. He didn't tell me what he was doing,
but he was on a yacht literally in Monaco. So I was like. But George's aesthetic is,
in my head, I always think he's on a yacht.
Yeah, yachts and linen shirts. That's sort of where I imagined it.
That's fair. Jumping from yacht to yacht. Yeah. That's fair.
And you're right. You're better with the linen and sort of looking like,
looking like off-duty James Bond. Yes.
I think that's a fair statement. I'm trying to think of, is there any
any **** I've put on George? Come on, Alex.
I didn't even ask him, but we'll take ****, yes.
Let me, let me look at, let me look at my messages.
And you know, this is the place to air it of anywhere that you do interviews is absolutely.
Is George the driving you message the most?
Yes, for sure. F1 driver, yes.
He's got more dirt on me than I have on him.
Oh, well, we'll ask him.
We gave you a chance to shoot first, but he'll get first shot.
While you're at home tonight, can I be cheeky and ask what's the last message
you sent to Carlos? And how's your friendship going? How's it going?
How are you getting on?
How are you getting on? Well, I think the media like to juice it up a bit,
but we're great. I don't want to juice it up. I'm just genuinely interested.
We were met up to play golf the other day, so the last messages were around.
Carlos is definitely better, but the day we played, I played just as good, if not,
arguably better. Oh my God, the media are going to juice this up.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm better at golf than Sy's Screams album in podcast rant.
July 2025. Who would like to hear from Alex Albom?
I know, I reckon we can make them go louder. I think we can make them go louder.
So, right, I want you to, I want them to hear us over at Buckingham Palace.
Who would like to hear from Alex Albom?
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the stage, Alex Albom.
Hello, hello.
How about that for reception, Alex? That was all right.
It's very nice. Yeah, I see a few A hats as well.
This green hat is very cool, I have to say.
Well, the lady's wearing a green hat in front.
Is that an Alex Albom green hat?
Yeah, that's fine.
It's not from Teemu.
Is that your personal merch?
No, that's the team.
They've just taken it over.
Well, at least that hat. They design that hat, yeah.
Oh, okay, good. It's good to know, yeah.
That was a nice reception.
Yeah, it's been very good.
I've actually been raiding the clothing cupboard behind me,
just stealing some merch.
Stealing some merch.
Why do you need more merch?
Why do I need more merch?
I feel like you've got plenty of merch already, Debbie.
No, but, so for example, like in Austria,
I haven't done any dirty washing or, you know, I haven't done any laundry.
So, I just need some clean shirts.
So, I just pick the shirts that have, like, the most minimal branding
and then just use them, put them in my suitcase.
And Alex, as you're one of the world's most elite athletes
and we can talk to you about anything, do you do your own washing or...?
I can.
Well, that's good.
The journalist in me spotted the hesitation and the I can.
It's because I know, because Lily's always like,
you don't know how to use a washing machine.
And I'm like, yeah, I do.
She's like, go on then.
And I'm like, oh, okay.
Do you genuinely, do you think you could turn on a washing machine?
I can do it.
I get confused sometimes with the pods or the powder.
Yeah, sure.
And I'm like, what, what?
And then emptying the fluffer.
So, I do, I do...
The filter?
Yes.
Sure.
But it's where, you know, it's where all the fluff is.
There's a few people in Monaco that use the same house cleaners.
I'm not going to say, but F1 drivers share some house cleaners
and they kind of come through.
Sorry.
Sorry, hang on.
I love this man so much.
My house cleaner, I would say who?
My house cleaner cleans other driver's house.
Go on, which one?
No, no.
Okay, we'll say.
But yeah, so like on a Sunday night after a race,
we obviously have like a lot of laundry
and then she will go around
and pick up everyone's laundry
and then kind of like distribute it for us later in a week.
Does she ever give you any gossip?
She's great.
Like, does she ever go,
this one, this driver today?
No, weirdly no.
Very, very...
I think that's maybe why she's loyal,
so everyone likes it.
Do you know what?
Right, this is completely serious.
I'm not saying that because we're on a stage.
People ask me all the time,
who's your favorite driver to interview?
I always say you because there's nobody else
I've been talking about washing habits with.
No, no, no.
Just nobody else.
There you go, there you go.
It's all that insight.
Washing machine insight.
All the fans want to know is washing routine.
Would you rather talk about Formula One?
If you want to, I don't mind.
Well...
Formula One or washing?
We can do anything.
Yeah, you can talk about it.
Ask me anything.
I'm an open canvas.
What do you want to achieve this weekend?
What's the aim?
A finish would be nice.
And also, Alex, just a word while we're here
for these amazing fans out here,
because British Grand Prix week,
here we are on Wednesday,
I only forgot what day of the week it was then,
and all of these people have flocked to London.
I mean, one thing I would say is,
if you've not got jobs,
like, I don't know how you're all here,
but it's great that you are.
Isn't it brilliant that F1 takes over a whole country?
The Grand Prix is up in Northamptonshire.
We're here in London.
So many people have come out to see you.
That's awesome, isn't it?
That's amazing.
Thank you all for coming.
I don't know what part of the world,
or the UK, sorry, I should say,
you've come from maybe the world.
Anyone not come from...
Who's not come from the UK?
Where have you come from?
Luxembourg.
Luxembourg?
Anyone further?
California.
Oh, my God.
Texas.
Oh, my God.
Anyone further geographically speaking than Texas?
India.
New Zealand.
New Zealand, okay.
All right, I think we've established not just the UK.
Wow, I can't...
Imagine coming to New Zealand just for popup.
No, no, no, no.
I know.
I'm not...
It's been the right old day.
It's been the right old day.
Wasn't it?
Wasn't it?
Hello there.
What's your name,
where'd you come from? I'm Neem like Neemah without the O. I'm from London and my question is you

being signed here. Oh it's a white pen as well. Oh clever. Yeah I'll put my... That's a good
signature. It's gone on the visor everyone. On the visor. Normally people like it on the
but everyone has a preference. Yeah sure. In Austria we have a lot of eBay people. Don't
put this on eBay. You've got how many? You've got 40 helmets. Oh my god. This guy's got money.
Do you want a tattoo as well while you're here?
