Speaker 3: When Paul's building his bike, He's always adding and changing stuff right up to the last minute.

Speaker 3: He acts like putting these lights on bikes.

Speaker 2: I didn't.
Speaker 1: I like the lights. I didn't like that we plumbed
them in, I got, you know, yeah, you know they're real clunky. Yeah, how bad it looks? Who uh, it
was supposed to be clunky a little bit, dude. I mean,
look at the tail lights. You know they're oversized. We
were using taillights like this for the most part. But
it was the whole Cadillac. You know, it was a
good theme. Yeah, I get it. Like it was a
sixties Cadillac, early sixties. Yeah, with the big fins. Yeah,
like us. You know, fifty fifty nine would be like
the Cadillac with the biggest fins. Fifty nine okay, the
most desirable. Okay, so it's like fifty nine.
Speaker 2: Yeah.
Speaker 1: Well wow, so angry because I'll rip it right off the bike. I know he's not telling the truth. Man,
What is going on here? You hear nobody Oh yeah,
Michael always plays there. He's so innocent until he throws
everyone under the bus, two bodies at a time. I
didn't realize that was such a bad person. You know,
it's not going to like this guy a little more. No,
that's good. I think it was fun. I honestly think
we were just having fun. Dude, that was the whole thing.

Speaker 1: So basically we took three inch pipe. See that's what

the best idea. They worked. It worked, probably me or

been a better bike. This would have been a much
better bike, but I was a better still own this bike.

the season he slept on his boat. Oh yeah, that's

I might have passed this one, but the driving test I didn't. I think I was the only one of man.

I should have played that shot in slow mo. Yeah,

I didn't realize things were that tough back then. They
were bad. You hear the guitar telling you how you feel,
it's telling everybody how I feel, And that's exactly how I felt. I actually composed that really after I failed,
I jotted down like a bunch of notes in my head and sent them into the post production. Ralphie and
Justin Yeah, man, was the way my motors is that painted?
Or do we powder coat that they must have we must have painted that because if Justin had it, you know. Yeah,
Justin was a very good painter. I liked his style.
It was very different. He used a lot of different
techniques to make a really complicated paint job but still have it look like, have nice continuity, you know what I mean. He understood the important he did he he
didn't do it like everyone else did it. Put it
that way. He was very unique and I liked his style.
That's when you used to have to go to the computer for the email. Yeah, everything was separate television at
a desk to check your email.
Speaker 2: I just.
Speaker 1: Rev tech engine there. Huh yeah, it's one one one
one man. They were great. No, it was one on one.
I'm serious. I don't want to learn these things. Oh, Mikey, no,

he's built so many bikes. You know that he could

Speaker 2: He's not quite ready to be a master mechanic.
Speaker 1: I got sweat in my eyes.
Speaker 3: But he does seem to pick up things pretty quick.
Speaker 1: That's not true, but that was nice to him to say, Christian, how do you usually get to these back balls?

Speaker 1: Figure it out. If I had to figure everything out
on my own, we never get.
Speaker 2: This bike done.
Speaker 1: That's right. I've had to figure out everything on my own,
and we might not get the bike done because of it.
Here sucks a lot of pressure to get this bike finished.
But Paulie keeps acting like it's no big deal, no big deal, just saying without him making not enough product in the hair there? Yeah, look, is this really what's
important to you? Mike? Smashing the crate? Getting that bike
done and getting it done on time. That was always
the most important thing to me. I always need that
about you. Man, Yet this pig ye, I wasn't talking
about the bike.
Speaker 2: Just like this.
Speaker 1: Geez dude, we're pretty strong back then. I was strong then,
strong back man, strong back I was working out last week because I started looking to hurt my back. Really
not bad, but it's like, you know, you feel it.
I better take it easy. And that's all I really
wanted out of this whole project was just to learn something you know, not true? Full of it right? That
was fed to me because I don't like learning anything.
Who does I'm going to sue the production company.
Speaker 3: Aig.
Speaker 1: It's funny. Vin's not even in this episode. Dude, that's
fucked up, is what it is. You're upset about this
a little bit. I remember Vin more in the episode.
Well he was there. He just apparently was not in
the episode at all. I mean we saw him a
little earlier. But think about it. Well, people don't know this,
but Vin used to drink a lot and he pissed off a lot of executives. Yeah, just that Discovery headquarters
every now and again. That's certainly not true, just the opposite.
I know, Vin always level headed. A couple of drinks.

were very disappointed. I was very passionate about bike building. Then,
I know, I decided to throw in the towel because nobody looked like an idiot. It's not me on your feet,
I got the you want to very good? You know what? Yeah,
every time I get on it, I'll just I'll fart, Mikey, So you gotta stand up for yourself like that. You know, Hey, listen,
brow bro that that might have been one of the best lines in the history of the show right there.

building you remember those days, getting wards, working long hours, running beads.

Speaker 1: I remember the club. Dude just dropped the forearm. Yeah, whoa,
look at you, bro standing up to the used to just used to hit people with my forearm. Now I
can't do that without getting hurt. Oh yeah, see horsing around, man,
horsing around? Man, People don't horse around anymore. It's terrible. Actually,
kids horsing around video games? Yeah yeah, that ain't ship.
Yelling at your friend over a video man, I got to beat him up with the sea. Yeah. Vin's got
his back hair shown in this scene. Vin's got his
braided back hair in that scene, Been and his wife beater on. At this time, dude Vin was looking very
Italian wasn't he very much? See the backs of his
shoulders there, Oh yeah, there, Harry. He had a sweater
on under that tank top, you know. Building my own bike.
Speaker 2: So we're moving along pretty good. At this point.
Speaker 1: There's Van Dude finally coming in on the fourth quarter.
Ye who's he remind me of some actor. This bike
was actually a cool bike. No it wasn't. It was, man,
it had those fishtail exhausted. It sounded all fish tally
and tinny. It sounded the way it looked, you know.
Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. It's really nice that overlap does it? Man?
It looks great.
Speaker 1: That shirt. It's like the first time you guys branched
down and get the damn bike gun with the different He liked that one. I'd have to see it again.
I like the gold Man. I thought that was pretty groovy.
I thought that was pretty groovy myself. I thought these
wheels were really awesome. They're awesome, That's what I'm saying.
It's not like the bike didn't have any merit. I
think I thought I had enough going for it.
Speaker 2: You know.
Speaker 1: It even had like a little brim on the headlight like that, you know, but that blu with the gold was super nice looking together. Once Bully and Nick got
the rear wheel mounted and all torqued up, we ran into a big problem. Basically, it was sticking and it
wouldn't turn and we couldn't. It was binding up the bearings.
Speaker 2: Then comp we could fix it.
Speaker 1: Nick was the best, taking Christian two great mechanics likes.
You would cast them in a movie as mechanics exactly.
They're perfect guys for the background. You know, today was
a problem and in order to get the rear wheel to function properly, it wouldn't be American Chopper if it wasn't a problem. Let's be honest right now, skull. But
it was so easy because that right there really happened.
It all really happens. Because building bikes is you do
everything five times. There's a problem on every build times ten.
I got you. So you're gonna run into time always always.
So you're saying that wasn't manufactured, Oh, none of it. Yeah,
the people at home. I just think we had so
much of that built in. Get finished and later look
at that man, we looks good dude, Oh boy, here comes the big heavy What was that with that crazy smiley face that the band when today with gotcha, I couldn't have been happier. Those fenders, really nice words. I
had to do some murals of the blues like it was justin Oh taj Mahal Robert Johnson, and I just couldn't wait to see what this bike would look like put together. I wouldn't have done these again. Mm hmmm.
I mean, you know, I'm still not mad. The tank's
not for me. But I'm just saying, you know, how
could so many people be so wrong about something so important?
You're so right about something so so important, just so so yes, so so. Those were nice engines, right, I
think we got a problem. Look I'm talking. I just
realized that they forgot that forgout the petcock. What oh boy.
That was a good long pause after all the switching back and forth of gas tanks. Somehow I looked bewildered.
There's a complete nail bier. No, I'm serious, Look at me.
You can't get gas into the engine. Well you feel
sheepish there? Right? Well? Is that supposed to be or
was that the manufacturer's problem? We were supposed to put
a petcock in that we did not. I was talking
about you. Yeah, this is right, yeah, the whole two parts.
You're worth talking, that's right. See that. I can't even
get the pet cock in there. I can't. We don't
have pet Co working here yet, right, he's not working there yet. I don't think so. I don't think Rick
Pecko is working for us at the time.
Speaker 3: I swear it's the same old story every time around the mistakes.

Speaker 3: Everybody handing around waiting for Mikey to decide what to do.

Speaker 2: It really sucks. Well.
Speaker 1: I think I probably should have been a little more assertive considering how much I love bike building at the time.
Speaker 3: Spoke regular wheels on air and be doubled it.
Speaker 1: Mom, that's mom, son of a bitch. It's gonna be
a little while all geez missed that woman. Huh, holy shit,
We're gonna have to keep an eye on his tattoo.
If this bike is completely done, and his tattoo is still bleeding. I think he'll have been found out. Mike, Well,
I mean this probably this is justin Probably took you what three hours maybe right to cover that drill it and then well you had, oh my gosh, I had to go get repainted. Yeah, it was a whole rigor morale.
That was a pain. And then you know, you gotta,
you know, you compromise the body work because if you heat that steel around it, it will make that body work pop, you know, Yeah, a wild beast. Look at
that man, the blue pearl. Those wheels really are nice.
That front fender has a nice kind of curve with too.
I just don't like a gas tank or the rear fender.
Man that that finn. Come on, I mean, you know
it's a Mikey bike, dude, there's only one where the handlebars suck. Don't forget the handlebars. I already took a
credit for that, dude, right out of the gates. I
didn't like them. Do they even have any shots in
the Honestly, at the time, dude, people love this bike and they still do. They made die casts of it.
You know, it was different. Let's see it outside, can
we see it. Let's go. It's gonna have that metal flake.
Oh yeah, all right, that's why I'm little ladies in the audience. That's when I had confidence frosted. Yeah, look

to take my bike for the first round. Four years later,
I wiped out on my scooter drunk, trying to answer myself that spot, trying to reenact that moment. Yeah, I couldn't. Wow,
look at you go, bro driving that chopper. Oh yeah,
you non motorcycle riding dude, right there.
Speaker 2: I supposed to head down to Laconia this morning, but last night, my.
Speaker 1: Son, Danny, his wife had a baby boy.

Speaker 2: Can we take him to Laconia? Basically I thought he
looked a lot like me.
Speaker 1: Mm o guy, just like that. They're all, you know,
we spent all this time. That's fun, arguing and everything.
But you know, one of my two godsons realize how insignificant everything else is. Wow. I didn't realize this was
in your episode. Man, it's kind of good. Bet. I
actually like Tarror was asleep and I stuck her with a needle, like to induce labor, yep. To make it
work for your time frame of your episode, Yep. That

The very first episode of American Chopper. We went to
Laconia and there was no show. Really yeah, why I
got oh bike before the series. We had the first
episode place at this place, a fake golf thing. Wait
this simulation golf. This is when we saw Peter Fonda. Yes,
we were hanging out with him. Yeah, he was hanging
out a bunch of people who bost Yeah yeah yeah yeah.
They were like wealthy people. Are you man owning it? Bro?
Speaker 2: Oh yeah yeah.
Speaker 1: I went home with that guy really without everybody's help.
I like those sparks. It looks just like the Mikey
bike man. Yeah it does, man, it rings a bell.
Uh oh oh. The black Widow just has to try
and show up overshadow. Is that about?
Speaker 2: Man?
Speaker 3: Is this like?
Speaker 1: I didn't mean for that ever since that Comanche fire bike.
Oh bro, your bike has got to the dust. In
the dust. Yeah, last guy in the pack we just
built my bike. You have no chance up against that
competition right there. But yeah, you got the fire bike,

Paul Junior Podcast. We just got finished watching his entire Build,
My Entire Build two episode two part and it was saga. Really,
it was a pleasant surprise to both of us really, I mean, we like to see each other when we're younger. Yeah,
and it's also interesting the banter and uh, you know, the rough house and stuff like that. We're just yeah,
it's nice to figure where you were too, because you can kind of remember where you were mentally for one ship, like something of that time frame comes back into the framework. Yeah,
the horsing around, the horsing around, perfect example. And when
you think about it, like you're such a different person now than you were back then. That was a whole
different human being. It was you version of you now
you know what I'm saying. It's kind of fun to see.
It's like how we were. Yeah, it's like you should
your skin A couple of times since then, Yeah, exactly what was the last time you actually seen an episode, like a full episode, like sat there and watched through it, not since the episode's aired, really, Yeah, And I stopped watching after about two or three seasons. So there's a
lot of shows I haven't seen at all. Yeah, me too.
I have a lot I've missed yep, yeah, probably tons.
And what I am I like, even watching this with you, I had no concept of everything that was in there as far as like Danny Boy being born, kind of like how young we were that time period. It's like
lost on me a little bit, you know, especially Danny Boy being a young man now. Yeah, it's crazy. It's
a little ween there. Yeah, good stuff. Man, I'm starting
to get depressed, you know. I hate these these kids
getting older. It's crazy. Yeah, thanks Baul. Then to kill myself. Well, listen,
I think this was good. I would do this again
with maybe another episode or something like that. It would
be fun. If you you know, you should do pick one.
Let's do the entire series all in one. Just never stop,
just keep cough, pots of coffee coming boom, and then try to sell them back to the producer. That's a
great idea, Like, hey man, you want to make you want to make kind of like the crash shows you see where they just regurgitate all the crashes and they just keep making money. Boom.
