He's just he's a light coming out to the show by mr.
Elom deep seeing how are you? I'm good.
Happy to be here. Sorry, I'm late.
It's okay. We forgive you this one time.
My husband was updating is even said yeah, good to see all you guys doing. Very, very well.
We'll get into some cards but first of all, we want to get to Rob because Rob you've just gotten back from your motorbike ride all through Vietnam. Yeah and what a trip it was to
basically 12 days on motorcycles, going through the north east and west of where Vietnam Riders ride along the Chinese border along the Vietnamese Hills.
So a lot of village villagers and places where cars just cannot get into. Yeah, so what are the
mountainous regions? Is you ever getting there by
scooter foot or, you know, sort of more of a bigger dirt bike?
But you can't bring a lot of cars in there.
They're slow and open up a lot of the roads and they're building these concrete roadways everywhere.
So cars can start to get into certain Villages now.
Yeah. Whereas, and they're starting to
see white people whereas before a lot of people just didn't see white people don't just it's amazing.
Yeah. If people stare at you rob they
did and it was like I felt like a minority.
I felt like I was you know you are a minor Welcome to, our will prompt a strange, but good feeling because all were very welcoming the people so friendly and warm, the food, the culture, you would have got some authentic San Choi Bao or something. Maybe every sort of food you can
they, you know, they, they have their pots seven, any You put your own food in and you cook your fish or you cook your meat in the hot pot. Yeah.
Well it's right and then you take it out and then you eat that up. But the food was phenomenal.
It was fantastic. So into it now is Vietnamese,
isn't it? I've just had this horrible
thought that that's not be enough but look like object amazing. Can someone confirm that?
Saying we get the lettuce and you put the stuff in a lettuce and we depart. Yeah.
And all that stuff. It's gonna look it up on my
phone. I don't want to be an authentic.
Before it gets cancelled, cancelled culture of it, the home stays a brilliant, there's like families open up their house and they add on rooms to their houses and they have an eating area. They open sort of Garden area
where you can sit out and watch the, the rice fields and people picking rice or, you know, planting rice and it's just phenomenal. Nominal it just for Lon but
amazingly how many cars are in the biggest bigger towns?
And most of them are believe or not.
Ford ranges Ranger, Raptors Everest's all brand-new.
What? Lot of brand-new cars.
Yeah. Left-hand Drive of course in
Vietnam but a lot of in fast vehicles The Vietnamese they had to go over here for a while but that didn't go too well today.
You don't? I'm not sure you fast actually
bought Liang Liang. Yeah, they did Holden Proving
Ground. Liang, Liang.
Yeah, but they've sold it again. Apparently the company started
off as a tech company from the Ukraine, okay.
Somehow became a Vietnamese yea vehicle company it was proved that again A Roadster main highways a fan.
Real good actually free Lane highways and Too many cars on it so it's not congested. But soon as you get into a big
town of my coaching in the city or Hanoi, it's just chaos.
There's no line scars across the Nova.
It's a leap of faith to cross the street.
It's just a different world, riding a motorcycle, or try to even trying to drive in Vietnam. I wouldn't dare drive and I was
pretty scared and riding the motorcycle where I did.
So this was a trip with you and your you and your mates.
You decided to go to Vietnam on. Bikes correct some way that's
correct. So like you showed me, you send
me a video of how to lie and what the hell, man like this.
It's like this who has right away, we don't know because it's just cars are going in bicycling, naturally inherently, they believe in the border and, and Faith.
So so if you believe your lives, I do the same thing when driving a scab, or a Honda City. Actually, that's what they say.
But what it is is if you're in front, you've got right of way.
And so, you'll end up sort of like going behind him or and everything just moves that they're not in the gridlock.
That ain't actually stop at intersections.
Cars are always moving from every direction or bikes.
Mmm. And again, there's no lines
anywhere, occasionally, you might get some traffic lights.
In a very large intersection to try and control the traffic but Then you still get motorbikes going up on footpaths, going, the wrong way and people going up the wrong way of streets.
And I think a lot of a lot of these Asian countries are driving, rules are Flume by philosophy of Mike.
Mike Whitney for retired. Their curricular.
It's who dares wins. Yeah.
You just got to go for it and hope for the best.
Yeah, as you said, pray to the Buddha and then just go for it.
Fortunately, I was speaking to a friend while stores over there.
A friend of their son actually got knocked.
Matter block wall, steals in Vietnam, and he had to go to the international hospital Americans pretty, not to good use.
Yeah, it's pretty bad. What else?
So they trying to get him airlifted back to Australia, the medical attention. Mmm, it is it's dangerous for.
A lot of people coming off in Bali, off the bloody scooters and stuff, which, of course, we all do with those.
Maybe a little more alcohol related.
Yeah. It just a little bit.
So Rob was that something you arranged if from here yourself or through a company or that I saw, I just done some searches of that motorcycle tour groups throughout Vietnam, know about three or four different companies and I chose one in particular, he was responsive, he got back to me, gave me a lot of information. It was quite friendly in a way
we operated either. You didn't want too much money
up front. Yep.
So it was all it. Just worked out.
Well, it wouldn't work out to be two and a half hours in Australian dollars for 12 days, that included a motorcycle fuel breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodation for 12 days.
Wow. David can we do this?
Please don't go. Oh, I know, I know, we're you
look after us and he can do the, there's the Ho Chi Minh trail.
I'm sorry too. I think it's a human trial and
then there's, you know, again, the north-northwest or you can do up there that the coast like the, the Top Gear tour along the ocean and he was actually one of the tour guides of the original top to you guys. When I was setting up the bikes,
the one that I get up Vietnam, that's cool.
Oh my God. Yeah, two-and-a-half great,
everything including food and it's unbelievable.
Unbelievable. Yeah.
I've have a cheap it is to travel in Vietnam, but to I mean, that's the food we're going, we're not going to do by your. I'm not going to be and then
you're going to go to Vietnam. What do you want to go to
Vietnam and Japan? Next year we're going next time,
okay? Okay.
Okay Rob. You got to be a tour guide, your
contacts me like a snake out or something.
I only saw one snake, I don't know what it was.
When across the right real quick.
What's the other thing, too? When you draw a van and a writer
writing anyway, you got to watch out for the Buffaloes, the pigs, the chicken should need Bob, Dylan's noting he really understands exactly. And then the in the children
though, they coming home from school to the come around corners and then there's motorbikes with other motor bikes on the back of motorbikes, and it is Road works.
But there's, there's no whs or roadwork signs or anything in most places and you just have to wait.
For the backhoe to stop and make a track for you and then you go underneath the back o to get up, you know, going down a highway nice. So it's a totally different
world. You are my my mum's house.
Got flooded and Lee insurance company arrange.
Someone to restore some of the bits of furniture that were damaged and the guy that was restoring the furniture red motorcycle. Tours in Vietnam.
Also, he said, oh, you know, I he said, I won't be able to get to the next month. I'm off tomorrow. 32 is
back-to-back sort of thing and then they He's back in 3 months here and then goes over there and does to us back to back.
So, yeah, I've heard of a few people that few companies that do run it locally, and that guy that ran it was, you wouldn't by any chance. Be nevermind Adventures from
Geelong, I don't know. Did he what was he looking at
antique furniture as well? Is that really a thing?
They did to make a living there into Cosmetics, Furniture importing whines. Awesome Dawn.
Sideline stuff just to make bringing money any way they can.
It's amazing how Innovative they are in them in finding ways of making money. I can't believe it was.
I can't believe you did all that for two and a half Grand like that. That's I'm like that is really
good value really? We provide drinks like soft
drinks and water throughout the day as well.
So there's nothing you have to really buy unless you want to buy, is what sort of bikes were? They see our F250s.
Honda's good bike. My bike support mechanic.
We had something like seven punches.
Wow. Yeah.
Over the 12 days in one day, we had three or four punches on the same bike or don't know what was going on.
But it was just so whatever. Yeah.
How many in your group, Rob? How many of you there are only
six of us are supposed to be 82. Dropped out for health reasons.
Yeah, that I couldn't make it. And so you'll see it's a good
size. Could have those six to eight.
That's, that's enough. Enough people to chat to with a
tour guide in the and a sweeper, the mechanic and there was eight of us riding along and it flowed real well.
Getting to this nation's probably a bit earlier than what he anticipated because it's we were all fairly good Riders.
So we're going it a good Pace. We weren't going fast, 30.
If you go and more than 40 or 50 kilometers an hour, you're going real fast. Yeah.
It's good. It's it can be quite tricky
Rocky Marty's slippery but some what size mode is where the bikes 250s 250s have a choice of a 125, which is cheaper.
He's or a 302 C 0. 03:00. Yep.
But the 250s were fine for what we were doing and we had a support vehicle with that gives you carried all the extra Gear with us with the support vehicle.
So we didn't have to put on the bike eautiful and could have it all unloaded for us. The porters will have it up in
our up the stairs near our rooms.
All right. This is a this is I definitely
want to do this. It's like a trouble-free
holiday. You don't have to worry about,
you know, how I'm going to go there.
Get there or what? I want.
What I have you just enjoy this absorber.
Absorbent Ali, why didn't you go?
What did you go? I don't really write this.
He doesn't ride. Bikes you learn sunshine, you
learn. Here we go.
I think he would have crapped himself in the second day.
We're going up a sort of steep Mountain mountainous road and it just made a new concrete road. But your biggest, it's a new
road with these vehicles coming down the other way and it Rhett.
So I sometimes, do I see a vehicle for half an hour, an hour and all of a sudden, you see four or five, and one of our friends, come around a corner, a bit wide, the truck was on the entire Road and he panicked, he locked it up, slip, the bike sideways down the road and the bike landed on his ankle.
And he's ankle blew out our driver stopped and helped him pick up bike and asked him if he was all right?
And they do fantastic. They are really helpful.
So we said to him, look, don't take your boot off or a sort of just blow out, you might be able to get your boot back on.
So when we got to our destination, we finally took the boot off and his foot did blow out but we iced it packed it.
Yeah. Seems sort of fought that he
didn't break it that it was a just a real bad Crush injury or yes. Brain, yeah, it's something
similar playing football. So he thought, you know what I
think. I'm all right, and he taught ya
yet. Gloves on a little pinky, he
tore the whole skin on the top of his pinky right off into the bone. You can see the bone, because
there's so much skin on your pinky lady, what?
I think, we just put a push, the back and Betadine saline.
Watched it all and put some tape on kept on writing to say about tonight, right? For another sort of doctor did
most people robbed in the smaller Villages and things was their English being spoken to you or not a lot.
Not A lot that but there were you come across yet some English-speaking people in the larger towns and and some of the bigger hotels, they spoke English in the homestays.
Not much Hello. Goodbye about because we had
Through its later though. Yeah, yeah.
Translators. We had people there, use your
phone to translate if you want to say something.
Anyway, so we use it rains a little bit.
Occasionally communicate the most the most, the most important thing to communicate in Vietnam is this just quickly but here is the Vietnamese Dong. Oh yeah.
The All because everything's in millions.
So you know again 2 million Dong.
Yeah, is $126. Yeah.
All right. Save your bank account over
there and think well I'm doing all right.
No Dom. Yeah you can buy two cans of
coke on that more probably than 90 cents a can.
So you six cans of Coke Jenny is predominately Chinese, but there are some Vietnamese of sort of versions of it.
I just found on kid. It's I think it's a hot pot
where you throw all the different stuff in it and you can but brilliant food. There's a lot of Street Markets
and Street stalls and you can eat on the street but you got to be careful. What year were you eat?
I think so you just need to just sort of be weary of that but the tour guide knows where to eat and where not to eat.
So you always take us to a good spot to stop.
Nevada, I'm doing this next year.
What else was there again? We went across the Chinese
border up to the Chinese border. There's a major river
separating, but I actually joined China and Vietnam because they shared a river. It's like the Murray river
between Sydney, New South Wales, and you got Chinese tourists on and Vietnamese sauce on the same river, but never shall cross it.
Each country that are on the same.
Relax and they don't really like the Chinese at all the enemies.
They really don't like them because they try to take over everything and they've been trying to take over the Vietnam for thousands of years. Yeah, so that really liked them
too much. They do pay for communist
countries but they're more. I think, Vietnam's trying to
really open up and become a sort of a economic Hub will power in that part of the region. So and they are doing well the
doing real well so yeah. Car sir, not cheap Dell guys on
motorcycles there. Archicad, he's and stuff like
that. Were 50,000 Australian dollars
for Katie's. Wow.
And over here there would have been about 30, odd thousand, thirty five. So they are fairly expensive but
the cars are like 100,000 will Plus for a ranger Australia.
U.s. u.s. hundred thousand years here, a lot of money.
Mmm. Yeah.
So it's big dollars for those cars but then it's amazing, how many ranges you see, I just couldn't believe.
The brand new Ford ranges and a lot of them are Ranger Raptors to. Well that's I think they all
want the Raptor, all the Rogue or the whatever their Mitsubishi, she's who saw a few days but not, not too many Hilux has Steven. That is fierros about pajaros
pajaros. The sort of couple we have
pajaros, there were a few Bridge arrows but Mitsubishi Triton cells, few of those around. Hmm.
And the tour guide actually had a Hilux.
Yeah. Believe it or not.
I have to come from the gut from the factory do over here from Thailand. So yeah, I recommend it to
anyone if they really want a cultural experience food and you can actually have a real nice relaxing holiday going to how long bay or to a coastal Resort type holiday.
And it's all real cheap is Marina Bay.
Sands have a hotel along the ocean about To our boat trip from Ho Chi Minh City and it's like $200 Australian a night in the Marina Bay Sands type Resort Hotel.
So it is definitely a place to go.
If you get a chance I'd recommend it to anyone.
It's going nuclear. That's a sounds really good.
Well, we all want to get back. My wife will let me update
anything new in the, in the Fleet with you and Harley or is all kinds of things. Do we speak to you guys before
the? But we buy a 3 e 4, 30 III 20
and to ATC. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So what that, and we got notification that our gym is ready to pick up this Thursday after, what spec is it Rob?
It's just a Bordeaux. It's not the like Jimmy like
there's any two models I think. Yeah, so it's a normal normal
one, not the light in an auto. Yeah, normally the water
highlight great. The gray gets nice gray.
Yeah, yes, I got any great. We, I don't, is there any
another Speck of it in a normal one, right?
One. And I was just meeting like
color and stuff as well, but they haven't black roof?
No. Don't they come as an option for
Blackberry for that color, that I think they only come in that three, maybe to get all the guys, that basic are those.
You'd agree. The cut here, the Khaki with
jungle green or yellow in color accessories on it, I don't know, I don't want to, they're not very good on fuel as they are and you start putting bigger tires and accessories on it.
It's just going to ruin the economy in there.
I think variety of and to tell you the truth and what will you do with this Jimmy? What's the plan for?
Well, it nice. Initially, it was going to be my
car, my run around card, and maybe my car that I like.
So when I go around Australia or with my big van, slyke is going to be my son's daily because he doesn't want to drive.
You see, 60 free to work every day after smashing it but he did. It wasn't his fault.
Those are the Brianna Ridin semester front bumper bar.
Yeah, yeah. So it'll be sort of a shared car
daily car, we're going to use it, run around pocket.
Take it up to mount this appointment on the weekend and go for a bit of a square. Go to the beach.
That sounds great. It's going to be fake dog.
Take the dog car in front of dogs.
Jeepney stuff, just give me things, just give me stuff.
Yeah, yeah. I'm living.
The dream, living the dream problem expecting photos on Thursday Thursday. When we forget out with the
ribbon on it and everything else.
Yes, I'm looking forward to that puppy.
Stopped it. Yeah and we got also got
notification of the transit that's coming bill has been shipped and it's been shipped so it may be here in June May a junior dude. June nice.
So yeah. So that's the car front.
So we're here we've got to be happening which is good well happening Rob. Yeah, yeah.
So it's good. That's about how long is it
since you ordered the Jimny just by way of reference?
In July the first week in July, yes, in a June July first week of July 9 last year. Yeah.
Yeah. About nine months.
That's not too bad. Yeah, they've got up about five
thousand dollars in solder that. Yeah, well, okay, that's about
3939 driveway, I have all order, the order, the stopped taking orders, and that's something you would have a pretty good.
Hello updates with me. Nothing crazy, my investigations
on my Volkswagen van into potential.
Little issue are conclusive. There is a little issue that so
I don't know about like I'm going to do something else with that. We won't delve into it in great
detail here, but needless to say it will be sold not through a channel. I would normally sell but I did
agree today to buy a 2006. Chichen Itza, be, she'll answer
wagon, little 2.4 liter es Wagon, in bright red with
102,000, kazon it in an auto. So that's that's a nice little
car. Those are dual airbags and abs
and Cruz and they're very, very tough little thing.
And I was thinking, L, say to David the other day, I think you'd there's not many good little ins, you can get because they're quite Square, those that they're actually quite practical. Graver Amy.
Yeah, there's not many good little wagons.
You can get for under 10 grand, really?
Super ticularly with those case on it, you know, good guys.
So I thought being a funky color and good case.
And you know, I'll give that a scrub and I think that'll sell quite well, but hey, I've said that before and been wrong, but on paper, everything looks good with that with that deal, I think so. Yeah, that haven't picked it up
yet. Pick it up, Thursday, what else?
I've done. But we try to be on the MX-5
Five, nothing else. I think that's it.
Very good, David. I was wrecking my mind to think,
what? What?
I'm turning to sink as wise. Not a huge amount.
I've been busy with other stuff prior to going through a bit of a break, the other cities ready to pick up, that's all finished.
And so it's got blow everything from new transmission, fluid to new timing belt to repack jury wheel bearings to Bust the brakes and you can seal. So I'm expecting that to be like
a the best city in the world to drive, man.
Yeah, it should feel you should notice all.
I'm sure, man, absolutely sure an attending, the tappets have been adjusted given for the, we're in the cam and it's, it's obvious beautifully. So so that's exciting.
I'll pick that as she was going to talk to you about that edge.
Picking that up. I'll talk to you later about
that. Yeah.
The I've had a couple of nice runs in the end.
One took the N1 off off car sales, I was knocked over the Russia, we say, even given the price I put on it.
That bill hardly surprising, but just keep it more.
Keep it for now and enjoy it. So, I had to get out of
Frankston over the weekend so they'll give it a good run and charge the battery up. So it's screw it race down the
freeway like little train so that did the battery.
No end of good. I'm sure sometimes.
Why do you get a sneak peek of a barn?
Find yesterday. That's actually knew was there.
So it's not technically about find, when, you know, it's there. I suppose we discover
ReDiscover, let's ReDiscover, but I will little bit more information about that for coming.
I sent many picture very tasty, though.
That's a that's for something to look at after Easter.
But aside from that, pretty much Not to go work on.
Did I mentioned last week? That gang interestin Martin?
Yes, I think I did before the Grand Prix.
So I haven't heard if if it's still in one piece that car but knowing what how some of the drivers drive them in there on the tear after after the race, it'll be interesting to see if it's still in one piece, but I think that's me.
But now Scotty me. So, I went to the Grand Prix on
the Saturday. I said I was kind of take photo.
Those have some of the car has, but the display cars didn't really bother, they kind of like the same ones that you see every year, or so nothing really stood out, massively.
They had a mass hero of just eight-six's.
So, they'll, their BMW Club was there, there was really nice, V10, M5. And then the earlier E39 M5, no
one. Caught the nice.
And then just some Basics. Like there's a 330ci there, I'm
still a clean but yeah, and then you just got Mustangs so all the new Mustangs and up there and just some Fords and Holden's.
And yeah, nothing that really jumped out and I thought well, yeah, I guess some photos and send it through.
This is just stuff that you've seen at every kind of basic car show. Really?
It's from a club point of view. The cops are due to display.
Their it's fairly I think the guys have to be in place on Wednesday. Who are you?
And so, so, I upset for a long time.
Yeah. The packing for a long time and
there's lots of people walking around and pass them and all that sort of thing and then you probably have to bump out either Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.
I would imagine probably Monday morning action, 65 Mustang on Sunday after the race and you had to, you could You could have left between 6:30 and 7:30. Yep.
And they then there was a firework display, you put, then if you didn't make it between a 6:30 and 7:30 window you could leave 9:02, okay? And if you couldn't make it all
worth, leave on Monday, pick them up on Monday.
Wow. Okay okay.
Yeah, just interesting. Leave leaving them sort of that
sitting in the with there's all sorts of Another like Mike and suck out in the elements for that long to because last year it was very very dusty and there was a thick layer of dust on all of them. Yeah yeah but this time around
it was a little bit wet and stuff so not as bad but still really, really good on the Saturday evening, a little bit of rain. It was cool to see the formula
threes and formula to who's racing there for the first time, man. Those formula threes are so
freaking loud. Way louder than any of the
others. My goodness formula, to sounded
pretty good almost similar to the Formula One accepts they had. I know must have some to with
the gear changes, but there's a lot of Pops in between the key changes bit more flames shooting out to so good more raw.
Yeah, they still had the V6 turbo charging up that.
Yeah, just just that little bit different and then you see the formula 1's and all my godness just so fast.
Clear well, a Good little fast. Kind of curve band where we
always sit with our camping chairs and it's got a screen there as well because we want to find a spot where you least get a screen so kind of see what's happening when you were about to lose it. That's a double chair.
I got this. I got the Chinese book.
Yeah, we coming in onto through gate 5, this is the listeners beliefs. Too bad up around I am.
That's all. Yeah.
The Queen's right side Scotty? Yes.
Yep. Yep.
We just pop it off and there's like five minute walk.
What would a minute he's like this.
You get it was easy to get food and drink.
Oh, it was still pretty busy, but if you find the right places to get your food and drink and you're not really waiting that long. It's not too bad.
I got a pizza on Friday and it was big crowds and didn't take that long. Okay, yeah, there was this
massive line to go into this big toilet block, but everyone was coming in one way, and the other way they'll just coming out, but there's not saying in and out. So we just wanted to be a
Hawaiian strain. Hey, there's nothing to say, you
know, Add to so like boom, something hot.
Yeah, but that line would still moving, really, really fast like pretty steady to. It wasn't that bad steady flow
of Peace in that block. We buy coffee and donuts.
But that line was huge, and it was barely moving.
So I like that. So who just went back to our
seats? Good.
Do you enjoy your eleven dollar hot dogs and you 7.20 develop?
It feels pretty except what I got chips and gravy hamburger and a bottle of water. ER I think was 35 bubbles.
Oh Mama it's about right there. Ripe for that.
Yeah the bottle of water came straight from Italy.
So oh well yeah Special bulk and come over with the Italian team.
The probably Ferrari just for a bottle of water.
Like yours is what we got was probably like ten dollars for that bottle of water. It's good idea.
Good idea what the Vasa Then you gen 3, V8 Supercars are pretty good. They look all right on fire to
the Mustang haven't heard or two of them on fire but yeah that think they look really look really good.
I look planted. How would that series will go?
But what's going to happen with the Camaro's when they stop them in few years? What's going to peace now?
Anyway, how did I just think they'll just keep racing him?
I guess they won't do much, you got it twisted.
And three is going to go on. Not sure that there's no other
teams are going to join. It's still just going to be
those two. No one wants to join it.
Yeah, something worth it. That's the issue.
There's no, it's too expensive and there's no work.
There's no other competition. Yeah, she's not worth that.
Unfortunately, was there. I like a race where they had,
you know, you're super type cars here.
Your Porsches your Lambos, your Ferraris and stuff.
Yeah, so you got that, the gt3s I think ours is called the olives cheese. A I got still going on, that's
got a bunch of those. It's mainly all Audi's.
Turning all Audi, R8s here, I assume there must be a bit cheaper than the other ones, but yeah, they still have to get a Carrera cup was on. They finally got rid of that
speed comparison thing. Finally, that was where they
just have like, let's C63 AMG and a V8 Supercar and like some Formula 1 car and they just see which ones it's all timed and stuff. You see every single year is
pretty boring, you know, because we got formula to and Formula 3.
There's, you know, some things like that got scrapped, which I think was for the better. It was really, really good to
see was that Young Guns in the formula to use and formula threes. Yeah, that'd be cool.
Was there a celebrity race and vehicles?
No not anymore. As of a don't do that one
anymore. But yeah, I mean, they broke a
record again, over the weekend. So better than last year.
So, even more people this time, Around.
It's true. Get more people in if they
really wanted to put know. Yeah, I mean, you could, but
they'd need to bring in some more, you know, vendors and things like that, to accommodate for it and probably beef up security. So then Sunday doesn't happen
with people jumping onto the track, that, that would be smart to. Because in all honesty, when I
was there, Over the whole Saturday.
I didn't see any security. There was one lady like in front
behind the ropes. That's meant to be crowd
management or something. She was just watching the race
the whole time and never looking at us like looking at the crowd and then just look at Rice. I'm honestly I'm missing stop
and it was just like pushing your over and going straight past. Yeah, it's like or Securities in
our our Hospitality. But Staying at the front been
doing nothing or just like stand the front like that.
Like big ol. I don't think it's just that.
I'm not be the standard list today for four days.
Yes. Yes, you have got a funny
security incident. So, my friends, I was going to
Friday and my friends had media past things.
So I said, I want a bottle of, I want some catering, you know, where do we get the free catering with your past.
So they go fine, come this way. So we dawdle up and through this
little pedestrian tunnel thing and because they are made They got through the tunnel when I was just walking behind them with them, so it's fine, whatever.
So I get into the media area, then they go off and get me.
My sparkling bottle of water, which was much appreciated.
I was thirsty. And then after about 15 minutes
to chitchat, they're like, are we going to stay?
In are just go back out that tunnel and on, which is back to the pledge public area. So I go to the tunnel to go back
out to where I'm meant to be and there's a guy there and he goes, oh, you know, I you got to have a past and I said, I know, I'd look, I just came in with my friends in the media passes and I'm I just need to go back out to the public.
Like I'm not meant to be in here, you know.
I can't let you go in or out without a pass.
Now you better get a helicopter to Chopper me out of here.
What do I do stand here for the next?
18 hours? What do you suggest Duncan
limbo? It was only after I suggested
the helicopter is that. Oh no, there's another road.
You can go down there and around the Quasi.
All right, fine. So then I found myself amongst
the formula to who's and the ties and the mechanics and I thought I'm still not meant to be.
Like behind ropes and I'm on the wrong side of the ropes.
And my friends takes it even works and where are you?
And I my arm trapped in some bloody anyway, so I finally got out of there and back to where I was meant to be, but I felt what I thought I should have said to the guy afterwards was, okay.
I don't have a past. I'm in the wrong area.
If you were to throw me out of this area, where would you throw me? Yeah, that's where I want to go
right now. Anyway, I think we should have
tried to aimlessly walking away into just driving a car.
That's it on the helmet on. I feel like I almost could have
even where I was. Formulating, I'll jump in.
That aren't you quick? Come here.
I'll give it a crack. Yeah, just broke a lower teams
like top on like a Williams topper.
Some of those, the guy he's like part of their you know pit crew.
Yeah. I might let you win.
No, sir. So, on this chair, and when
Scott to you went to Harvard, you know, you went David hasn't got on an Alum deep scenes. So it says, it sounds like you
guys had a good good. Go at the F1, a few of my
students went and they were messaging me on the Friday because they wagged school to go to a good.
Did it for him? They're like, said we know you
won't get us in trouble. I'm like well, no, I want they
like do I bet KK me like, she should decide they decide to send me photos and videos and Then I'm like, well I kind of can't be angry at you because you doing this but I kind of have to be but I don't know what I should be doing right now.
Should I be doing the proper teacher thing?
But anyway, I see them today and because that they went to all three days and they came into that and they're like, they're like, sir thanks for not snitching and they gave me like some lanyards and some like stuff they bought me from the formula for me was like, all right.
It's worth nice. Let's take bribes or take
bribes, so so that they had a good time in there.
They took some really good photos on the to my exposure students from from be 0. So they actually we're doing
really, really well. But that was cool.
He see the prices of some of the stuff there at the formulas knots and ice is huge, my goodness.
It's a how much do you reckon a Ferrari jacket would be Arts like 600 bucks or something. It's not like a really like
awesome. Nice jacket, just a basic
Ferrari, Red Jacket, two hundred three hundred and fifty dollars.
Yeah. What was it?
Like a nice. You know, leather jacket?
All really thick or anything was real?
Basic average one. 350 bucks? Yeah, they milk it.
The Caps are like 50 bucks. I think each one they pardon
caps were like 50 bucks. Yeah.
They're about 50, 60 bucks. That's pretty normal.
Well, it will always be happy like like a charity.
Like that auction. The auction.
You off stuff. You know nothing.
Yeah. He was like, titled.
Drunk and I'll pay ridiculous prices like some guys like, hey 214, a Maxima step and signed Captain some type of and a half Grand cash flow. Michael Schumacher signed
helmet. Is that the world was like that
one book? You spend 20 grand like in five
minutes were fighting for just dropping money like that?
Livin the dream. Oh, even like a clear.
Like just a polo like pichet He's beating up to like, like, 1,200 1,500 dollars for it's like, okay, he's got his rocks up. Yeah. 2122 this for a t-shirt
like silent Polo, look red Ferrari, followed.
So, you know, in a picture of, you know, Charles signing it.
Yeah, I'll holding it, but you can't even weird that something right for the man cave. Would look good in the man cave.
I did go to a club bum afternoon.
Usually, we have afternoon tea in will be at lunch or something at someone's place and watch it. There are probably dozens of us
there and I made a, an amateur mistake.
I, I, I I decided at lap 50. What was it 56, when it stopped?
I thought I was pretty much over now, so hot.
Well, I know David, that is exactly right, exactly, right?
Yeah. Those red flags are stupid out
of the four scenarios. Do you think the scenario that
they chose was the right one? Wrong wrong.
Yep. Growl Carlos, I think he was
done by. Yep.
Agreed, I've got crushed up. I stole the first lap incident.
The start no penalty. There's like Mexico started
racing getting from the grid first up incident everyone just so many people crashed and he got five.
Penalty. Let's bring along the yeah,
yeah, unfair, just agreed bit messy.
Hopefully they've fixed that up. Anyway, as we move along.
But yeah, basically, I should probably jump in my car updates.
Yes, I fixed a power steering belt.
If you remember, I was talking about it, being all squeaky as I can probably got to replace it, sort of, got to replace those, that was just like, get worse. So I thought, nah, I'll take a
look. So because when I was having on
Line trying to find the right belt.
I just kept finding all these different sizes like nah.
Hopefully, it's still written on there and I could quickly find it, but also got to take it off and take it in and measure it all that, and it's still written there.
And there's no cracks in it, and that was just a bit loose, so just tightened up the tension on it.
Does some butter Scotty Study area at the moment.
Haven't set it up yet just got some discs and next to me I've got a whole bunch of all my Hot Wheels cars.
Nice heaps and heaps of them. Excellent.
So you can do it. You can do a segment through the
rest of the show and each time someone yards out Hot Wheels.
I'll just pull out another random, don't understand.
Next week, we want the ball on the wall behind you.
Oh, you know, I'll try. I don't know if I'll be able to
do that yet but yeah, it's time. I'll just shove it in your face
and go. He's a new Hot, Wheels car right
now. I've got a nice pocket.
There you go, there's something I like and it's 14.
So we're you a keeper of them in the packet, you keep yours in the packet. What are you get to probably
going to take them out, okay, because I can't really display them and I'm not going to sell them.
Like I haven't got them to speculate on to, you know, try and earn money off them or anything.
Yeah, because if you when you're trying to say, The mapping that they like stuck leaning like this.
Yeah, I never, I never liked that style of packet, you know, the that you can't put backwards the Matchbox cars and a you can always open, do dessert. The boxes were designed to be
open and, you know, and things put back in but as soon as they with those clear plastic e1's it's game over, you know, it's rubbish these these like special ones here.
That's cool, pool of oil left, the Puma.
It is you can actually leave that the package Yeah.
Yeah, I like that, too. It's cool.
There's no uniformity between like the packaging.
So if you try to set them up, you just have to like set up them all differently. So I'm also on the side of pull
them out of the packaging, you know?
And then you can always be like MiMi, you know, driving a few round but it's very important. I think if you in Hot Wheels a
never he drive them around. Seen you really losing out the
value. You like I'd say 80 times really
the whole wheel right there. Yeah.
I mean I didn't buy them to try and Invest with them or anything. I mean, this one's like this
that I might keep in the package.
So yeah, that's cool. Let's ruin a good one.
Mercedes ones there, which is pretty cool.
I'll probably keep that one in the box but there's some bits and pieces. I got heaps that everywhere.
So if anyone you guys out, hot wheels are grab one and shove it in your face and say this is one my updates.
Where was my last carved? I think everything was fine.
If once I came back from the old country except for the MX-5 which as you know, small battery, small car and having family members that don't take care of anything even though you ask them to it had a dead battery once again.
So I decided this time I was going to do the right thing and actually scrub the battery terminals as well.
And the connectors just because I had this we'd yell Lowish paint on them, which I think the previous an amount of put it on there toward corrosion, but it ended up kind of insulating the terminals to the point. Where if you want to jump that
start the car, you kind of, couldn't you just have to charge up the battery and then we'll use a battery to start the car up because you just couldn't really get electricity through the outside. So again, real good scrub, you
know, jumps out of the car, took it for a long drive.
I think I put about 6070 case on it, went up to him freeway and unfortunately got caught right as They saw the road works.
I thought I'd be able to turn around before that, but I couldn't. So I kind of got screwed by that
that's when I sent the picture of the, the Corvette's.
Yeah. You're at the wall on outbound
BP up, I'm assuming they're gone on some sort of trip came back home. So the battery was not very well
charged. So, I put my a trickle charger
on it and let it go to town and then it being a car from, you know, that early 2000s ERA with some security features security features. All they serve to do is really
annoy you. And once again the cars like I'm
being, you know, hijacked or stolen or something, and therefore, I'm going to flash the hazards and Flash T.
Like a little intrusion alarm all the time and so for like three days straight, like the, the remotes not working with the car, I feel that you need a new battery.
So for new battery in, it turns out that was the case.
It's just the car and the immobilizers weren't having it.
There's like no, you stolen me, how dare you?
You want to get into me? You had to get any using the key
and then, you know, I won't be happy when you start.
Up and I'll flash around and make it run, you know, to get the cops on you or something. So I just left it alone for
three days four days. And then I finally went back to
just, you know, hit the old unlock button and, you know, it's very happy to unlock and ready to go.
So I was quite pleased with that.
I thought I was gonna have to get some kind of lock smith involved, or something of that nature.
But, here's just, one of the things of the, the early 2000 cars, and security features. You leave alone for a while and
they'll be okay. Yeah, I think it's a succumb.
To its fate is like Or I've been stolen our models will work for the new owner now. Yeah.
But yeah. Far from that.
No real big updates for me. Everything's kind of going.
Yeah. As it should hopefully very good
update with me Unity. I had a guy come in, look at the
LTD on Sunday night. Right on are pretty much just
came and laughed at me and said I'm dreaming and then walked away. So I was like, sure, okay.
Did he see that big hole on the side where it got burnt?
Yeah. He's like he's like he's like
nah, that's leaking water might look, it's only in water.
It's like an oil can be honest with you.
It's leaking, it's leaking oil. It's leaking from the power
steering rack, but everywhere else is.
Alright, and He's like, oh no, I justi just, he's like mate, you know what, I want to sort of be 81 at the same price, that was bone dry underneath. I'm buying that one.
I like you, but go by the way, he was talking to me.
I didn't even finish it there. Let him talk.
I just turned, I just turn the car off.
Check the bottom, lock the car. He's like I'm like I'm like I'm
not going to stand here and get like criticized.
Yeah, well I'm not going to sit here.
I'm like you know he's like matter would even offer you two grand for this piece of crap this time yellow, I'm just like, oh wow, he's like like yep, no worries might be lineup so Wow side. And yeah, that was that the
Forester. My sister sends running a bit
rough on cold start and it had a bit of a look at it.
It is running rough and cold start and might be the head gasket after she cooked it. Gasket Scott, Scott.
So did you could you give a little information on she cooked it now the radiator cracked and she drove it and she didn't realize and then put off, so that's got to hurt.
So actually when it's cold because the obviously the you know, the alloy and stuff, they're all the all the party.
Oh that they don't expand anymore.
They kind of contract and So I think what is getting into the combustion Chambers when it's cold because what it's because when it's warm perfectly fine, it's not not an issue at all.
It did Straub's really, really well but it's like once on a cold stuff like two minutes or so it's a bit to bit.
Hey going it sounds like it's got a miss and Runners like that's usually not a good sign. It's going on Thursday and
they're going to put the got a pressure test it they got a the horoscope in the in the in the in the boars and then have a look and see if there's any moisture and stuff in there and combustion. You know what if it is its
engine out and head gasket replacement, but the rules a bit like a Japanese version of a BMW, they are a little bit, are they? Hey, I think so.
Red is like is like they said, it's perfectly fine.
He's like, it's just she didn't know and unlucky and You know, I'm like, well, yeah, I guess but it's just that's the first one that's done. Okay, listen, well when my
brother first bought it within the first like he bought it in the weekend, he drove it to his he drugged him and bulla it.
It had a head gasket issue. So you got the head gasket
redone but that was over a hundred thousand Casey, go like that. So he bought a 1985 or something
and it did the head gasket then, and then it's been it's called.
I think it's got 300,000 case on it now.
And it's But it wouldn't have done the head gasket.
It's just she cooked it and then and around as I wouldn't be surprised if she heard it, but the cars whirring.
Okay. Just drop it for a few more
weeks and see how it goes. And if anything comes up, then
then we know we've had an issue and had an issue.
So, so, so she's dropping my mom's Camry.
Mom is driving the forest a, she's like, look, it's dropping okay? It's not losing any water or
anything it's just it's just on the cold side in the first like couple minutes in the morning. It's it's got a bit of a mess
but then then it clears up and it's she's The exhaust.
It's all right, isn't it? Yeah, that's exactly right.
Yes, I gave it some boost and it was like, no issues at all.
There's no bubbling in the in the Overflow bottle which is usually a good sign of that. It's got this year, it's getting
air and it's so. But again we will find out the
diagnosis on Thursday. I mean, worst case scenario head
gasket best case scenario. It's a, you know it's a coil or
a spark plug or Something something very, very easily to be easy to be fixed. But the fact that it's happening
on a cold start is very head gasket to me that?
It's yeah. So my sisters had a bit of a
panic attack. She's like, she's like, oh my
God, I can't afford an engine like this to get rebuilt.
And I'm like, look, you want to go to rebuild.
We just pulled your stone will just get the heads done.
Putting you put a new gasket in and then you should be golden because it's, it is what it is. So fingers crossed, but I think,
I think the car gods are Against my sister on this on this on this instance. So it is what it is.
So yeah that's virtually it on my end gentleman.
I think it's time for the quiz whoo-hoo.
So are you guys ready for the quiz Robin?

That was Harley. I want Holly in their purse.

Take the technically. We'd all right.
That gives me hope. Okay, I doubt it.
But you can, technically when I questioned ate mostly is removing one SUV from its lineup to get two SUVs in its lineup, which car are they removing Holly, Holly 6969 is correct.
Holly well done, bonus question. And this is a poor, the point H.
What cars are they replacing the CX-9 It was there.
I hate it. Hate it.
I think I think it's a rather. Is it a c x 60 that's one of
them. That's one point.
Well it's the X1 column for the next one.
Well that depends. If you've got you've got you've
got the chance to get to get it wrong.
So you've got c x, 60, that's one.
We know we're leaving at like 60.
Yeah. And I think Alan's right it is a
690. I think the other one takes
long, he's incorrect. It's all right.
I mean, it's incorrect, it's incorrectly, it's incorrect, find that since guess. What car to arrive here in
Australia? Before the end of the Maki Maki
is absolutely correct. It was funny though, when they
announced that their lives are like, A big announcement of a car returning tomorrow, everyone's like, oh my God, this is the return of the Falcon. And then it was never going to
be as they hit him with the maquis and it was like you Boston's you could ever do this at the fiesta coming back.
I would be happy but there's a, are they bringing the Arctic question? 10 Subaru has sold more in the
First Column. Does it go with?
Because it really been kind of WRX incorrect.
No, no, no super hit. I sold more WRX has in the first
quarter of 2023 then what other four-door rally bread car for it, this entire model year lineup, allotment, and no idea what the question is here, I demand to return, more WRX has, then what are the four door rally bread car to be sold for the entire model year 2023? So different brand, Holly Holly.
Our Renault Clio incorrect. There's another four-door rally
bread car for the whole year allotment.
They've sold more in the first quarter of twenty, twenty-three than this car has been allowed to be made in 2023, you can't get Lance's anymore so it's not that Focus.
It's not focused but yesterday's.
Hmm. Carola Raja coronavirus.
Correct. David principal on.
So they they have sold more Subaru.
WRX is in the first quarter of 2023.
Then Toyota's entire 2023, allotment of the chronology are.
Score. Check gentleman.
Edward on one, Alum and Scurry on to second place is David on three, and tonight's winners on a grand total of five, Robert Harley. Well done, well done.
Well done. Well done.
If you want something, go to the Instagram page and check out for destroy. Ali, has pictures of the market
is this gives just kidding. What is the Marquis is an
electric sting and it really is uvv.
The force of the F1. Only had the Marquis and it all
the blue one, blue one? Yeah.
Yes, well that I saw that. Yeah he is and Daniel ricciardo.
They did the big reveal, reveal room for build a beautiful Ford or four-door car because it actually under the Lincoln Banner O Canada, they do real. Well if they sold here, it's a
four-door sedan Allure Sedan K. All right, beautiful car.
Hmm. Well what if you're listening
Rob's got some advice for you, bring Lincoln you it's it's interesting. Like a sportive said that the
they're not going to be profitable in the EV space allowing 20, 25 or 26. Like they're like, they're just
losing money on every TV that they're selling.
The problem is the battery is then like using lfp batteries.
What judges are using a user that were more, like a conventional, like lithium type battery, where you can't touch it to 100%. Okay, where's the alipay blade
battery? Like, you would like the new a
Tesla's and the be y Diez, you can charge two hundred percent constantly like a longer life. And like, you never be as
careful with them. They're operating parameters.
So why are they, why have they chosen do?
That is just cost-cutting. Or just the way that the
technology using same is like, well, they're the pickup said, but they actually are. So you are there So recently
that you really feel like that you like Explorer type.
Yeah, it's UV. Yeah.
That's actually based in lot of also going to ID for.
Okay. Yeah, because now they're
sharing Volkswagens. All their Vans and stuff all
built in the Volkswagen crafter type chassis and doesn't deal with Volkswagen. Yeah, so they're sharing the
other technical liquid technology with Volkswagen now for K. So here is the new, electric
custom truck Transit customers like that based on that, as well. I'm not sure yet.
If that like they've started, but I know that this new model is SUVs will be based on the body for like skateboards, which has that add lithium phosphate lfp battery.
So basically, it's just like, so it essentially is what you're saying. All these cars is gonna be the
exact same cards with a different like yeah, their skateboards all the same just different body just anybody.
Yeah. So the all the boring it's like
a Tesla. Even the battery tester is
actually from Byz kind of thing, like that could be why they and stuff in China that the new model fries, okay.
Here's the test that the test the performance batteries are not LP batteries yet, so you cannot charge those. 100%
regularly consistently. Where's the Tessa little normal
standard range? Like we've got is a lfp battery.
And I can go to 100%. I'm upset that I actually
recommend charged, 100% once a week.
All right, okay, where is like in a pollster?
Like I'm almost like, there's a performance, they say you should change it to 90%. Don't charges 100.
What happens if you do? Well, it just like I think it
just like basically shortens the life of the battery.
Like, it's like a full cycle. Okay.
So like They Carried looks like charge cycles.
Yeah, yes, sir. When you click do it in
intermediate type as you actually doing a full cycle.
See if you take you between 20 and 80 always, you're not doing the full cycle. So yeah actually a bit longer
life out of your battery. And most like a modern-day
batteries. Don't appreciate being kind of,
really, really low in charge. All really, really like up
there. I had 100 charge, take prefer
you to that 20. To 80 percent is like, where
your best very optimal life span will kind of be, which is why I even like your iPhone's I do that smart charging, where if you enable it, it kind of charges up to about 80% when you're asleep and went knows you're about to wake up because we got the alarm on it will charge that last 20% kind of in that really really short period of time.
So it kind of saves your battery I just don't understand how that works. Like you know like a battery.
It's supposed to be charged right?
Like yeah, I don't understand how that.
I mean if they knew that the batteries are going not going to last if you keep charging to 100%.
Like, I got, you expect them to already build, like what you're seeing is a hundred percent is actually the batteries ultimate 80%, something like that. Expect them to do something like
that. Some of them are but, you know,
it's still, it's still about, I guess, giving you people a warranty on the battery that they will deem acceptable before they write their, you got to make that money.
I tell you one thing that you'll cancel the river destruction on our step today because we didn't pay our Levy tax.
Well, it's on the Tesla Tesla. Wow, he's serious.
Look like the Victorian government.
Can't do our job. Yeah, it's suspended average, I
did hell. He said they've had to go and
take a photo and send in the photo and whatnot.
She did tell him that, you know what happened to their wouldn't have said anything. I've actually told her to sit
because I read an article that they can store. 250
registrations recently the crows.
Yeah. Yeah.
It would be great to see what I call.
How do I submit my Dominic I saw all these, you know, like do I have to think it's all you should be on your Vic roads?
You can you just like next to your like cargo vicroads?
You can distribute thing that you play.
Put your own local, upload a picture of your odometer and you can do whatever pay the tax. Yeah.
She's like I'm also sure that because when we bought the car was before it all came in. Yeah, so was never upload onto
her account, whereas, when my boss but he's bring you Tesla like it's done from the start. Like they do you do This when
you buy the car, it's kind of do it.
You know, at the start what I was nearly causing registered.
Ah, ah, yeah. Take a photo of your don't like
surprises. You gonna be groans, they
activated on her account and then she'll go take a picture of a dominant to upload the photo before they order cancer the region. But see that's ridiculous right
though? You could completely lesbians
bullshit that and you could and you could say, oh, how did I know it's your odometer correct. Yeah.
Well I suppose you're interested in number and all that stuff.
Suppose you could definitely doctor.
It's just yeah, there's a chance of you getting caught eventually. Yeah.
And I got all the basic. Someone's got to pay it in the
end. Yeah it's all the car.
I may feel going to pay it on the next person will pay you when you transfer it or they're gonna find out the comment or eating let's just say you could be could be smiling.
So right. Okay.
Every few thousand cars want to take a photo and when it comes to the end of the year I'm going to just like used a little dollars picture and just to set a time if they're you know but if you get pulled over they all you have done a lot of And then the past year a few weeks, like what's to stop?
Somebody know this is seriously something that it'll be something that gets you again. As Holly put it when you sold
the car and you like, you know, that person takes their picture and there's like, we're yeah. Hundred thousand kilometers
worth it. She could have said, like
anything about that. The her km.
No one would have known but then eventually when they catch on to it, you've got like another guy. Our, we've noticed you got
electric car, you haven't paid the last three years, you got 30, 40 thousand cases, got the pay to 3,000 upfront to them in, like I just don't, it's just I find that such a stupid rule.
Why does every other country have like benefits to change over to electric cars and stuff? But we're doing opposite because
really, we're ahead of the curve, you see, because those I'm just gonna start having trouble in the future trying to, you know, make the same amount of money.
They wear off the internal combustion engine cars.
It's like to pay for roads and stuff.
We're already ahead of the curve where you getting the money, you know, pay to us. So we're making it more
streamlined. I swear, I think we're gonna
make that covid must be breweries.
I think, I'm mr. Wonderful, like a pain in the
ass. It's far too early to be kind of
implementing this. Having an idea to actually
implemented in the future. I think is important because
again If you expect to be transitioning to fully electric cars everywhere, you can have to make up for the shortfall of money that you originally getting from fuel excise and whatnot. So many, it doesn't make sense
into you. Like, that means is known to be
like this. What's the pH?
Like right now? This should be an incentive
touching here to give you three thousand dollars before government. Yeah.
But they're going to take it back in a state that charges you for the electric cars. Yeah.
It sounds very tried and I had that they stepped it up the few months six months. Yeah.
Try to do it and then like everyone, you know, it's quite strange when you think about it that, like, camera being one of the most expensive cities, also, just in general to own a car, it's actually cheaper to own an electric on camera, then it isn't in Victoria, which is kind of silly.
So, wrist, econ, dact, trash. Just forget about it.
What happened? I don't think there are.
Any benefits of logic. Are they fix environment more in
manufacturing? It, you using Coal Fire.
I'd power stations to charge it mostly, and you're paying taxes on it. You're paying a premium for
electric car, it's only going to last you to maybe 10 years.
If you're lucky with the battery, I just did.
There's no advantages for logical whatsoever.
I thought would be pretty backwards here.
Like I, yeah, I mean the whole point of all, well, let's go green. Let's go green but it's just, I
just find it. Just it's just so contradictory
all of this all this, this stuff, like, Yeah, when you when they will be producing hot hydrogen cars that were producing water vapor in the exhaust, and the hydrogen's in the air, you know, it's, it's for, it's essentially a year.
It's a, it's a free resource. That's right.
That's getting me. But like, I've always said,
hydrogen would be the combustion engine of the future, but I also think, Do you know the cool Melbourne, Calif, the California of Australia? And and but I like, I agree.
But I also disagree, like, like the California show.
Yes. Because we've got tax on
everything and a bit of an inverted commas in any state.
But in the same time we're backwards because like we charging people with the only country estate that's charging you know this this this exercise on these on these EV.
So I'm like I'm like I don't know what I don't understand the agenda right now I don't understand what their agenda is like like what is the agenda of let?
Because in this country if that's what they're going to do, like to me, that makes no sense because there's no cheaper read Joe or anything. Is that like even for hybrids?
Yeah, there is well, there was and there is that the original was a cheap. I think the rhetoric came in at
7:00, know what a saving $100 $150 or $2 shape of the mold character there. You're going to lose twice of
that, you know? Yeah, yeah.
Sake, you've built a hydrogen motorcycle, that's all by those.
Who were avoiding the real point is anyone actually working on a flux capacitor? I think that's their technology.
We've got to embrace really. Yeah.
And the GE called in fusion generator the guys at the back of it. You know what?
It is. Something you can convert put
your banana skin. Charlotte's Kings in a box of
crystals. Yeah, that's genius.
I'm just I just don't really like everyone's like everyone's going crazy right? And and I Understand why I like,
you know, they're if they're efficient, but you Hannah you'd heard David but I just I don't think I just no matter what like I wanted to be the answer, but it's not just can't be the answer if that if we're, we're producing more coal like they'll be burning more coal to charge him.
It's just as bad as your emotions out of a car, if not worse. So for me, the benefits here are
kind of negligible especially if they're going to tax you on this one. You know, because you're not
you're not using fuel. It's just it's Insanity.
I like I died suits, you don't understand it and it's just for me it's just it just feels like it feels like the automotive space is in a bit of a limbo right now and and it's been in this funk for awhile and I don't know what to do.
I don't know, kind of where we're heading with it.
So I'm out. I'm always reassure is on
tonight to discuss these points because, because he had a puppy up some answers, but it's just been, it's just been a real, it's just feels weird, you know? I mean, I just, it doesn't feel
like, like, like We'd making the right, it feels like especially here in Melbourne where in Victoria where we're taking backward steps but everywhere else is still kind of doing this. Let's go EV but I think the
bigger issue is you know it's still using fossil fossil fuels to power them. So unless you unless you're
getting unless you're powering them with complete renewable energy than for me that's just not the answer.
It's not but I think as close as I'll get at the moment is the Nissan Note, 8 power. Is that still got, you know, got
a one point, two, three cylinder in there and that pretty much just charges the battery itself so you're not plugging in anything and you getting like 900 to 1,000 kilometers out of tank that's pretty damn good. And if you get the knees Mo
version, you can do 0 to 100. And like seven seconds will see,
like I've always said, hi Peewee, still love me when I said I liked you like the Press. I like, I like how hybrids work
because, you know, like around Talent, I've driven a man, who's here, who's here, who has driven the brand new RAV4 hybrid or I mean, Edward, you've got your mom's got a Rose cross hybrid, right? They work flawlessly.
They shifted to an electric and fan petrol.
Yeah. Real real easy.
They get crazy. Can fuel fuel more?
Yeah. Miles per tank?
Yeah, like it's like you're not plugging in because it because the engines regenerating through the breaking through, you know the batteries for the breaking through all that other stuff.
So yeah, you know it's for me that's that's kind of still still for me more of an answer than an electric car.
It's like it's like a good segue.
I tell they kind of feel We all sell out because like all seven this child with Stephen and you sure she wants, you know, a current in a few years time I'd like to upgrade in a few years time and and we were looking around and we like we like there's no you know she's like I don't really want to go full electric but I also don't want to be full ink to go buy some shoes. Like my answer is a hybrid and
the fact that she's not even a car person and she's saying that you know, the answer is a hybrid.
She's like I wouldn't mind like the sport hybrid or a RAV4 hybrid or or what have you you know, or Junior High.
But if that if that ever actually happens, I think I think that's the answer would be would be, would be abusing it is. You had said, everything would
be spoiled, be smart because it just like that.
Like, this is a non car person who has zero interesting cars at all saying that, you know what? For me, I in this from what I
know and what and how I feel about it, I just like, I just don't think I'd be comfortable with a car like that and this is what Isis where I stand. I'd like a, I'd like a hybrid in
between where I still get good, good, good gas mileage and I still get You know, the usability and the ability to go anywhere at any time. So yeah, it's kind of a tricky
situation. I got it's been scarily quiet
and at this point in time. Yeah, everyone else is pretty
shocking intelligently. I don't have to try me.
I mean, the road tax. Is it going to come from
somewhere for all the Navy's? They've still got to maintain
the roads and stuff, and that's where that money kind of goes, isn't it? So either they tax the hell out
of petrol or they? Text the hell out of the
Eevee's. It's got to come from somewhere,
otherwise. They're going to not, you know,
not enough money to put power poles, and fix asphalt and potholes. And what have you?
I suppose, what about charge per kilometer.
But the thing is though is that the EB tap accent, doesn't just apply to the EV. It plays the plug-in hybrids as
well. Yeah, so you could have a, for
example, a new C63 the plug-in hybrid, induce 30 kilometers on a plug-in hybrid, or comment or rating from what you've done.
It was One of these days, you're still pay 2.1% corner so you can
be drawn me, like, a normal car. Paying your fuel, which is 9,
you're paying putting 98 at paying to, you know, you're still paying anything but you also paint the whole entire tax because you can only further that's not fair.
If its treated exactly the same because it was scam km reading on your pockets laughter. This is 2.1 sense for our
plug-in hybrid. It's two point six cents.
Per kilometer for a litter. It's electric and you can't just
let you can't tell what you've done.
Let repair alone on a plug-in hybrid and what you've done on.
Yeah. Well that's not fair.
This should be probably more of a difference between those two interstates to become yourself whales.
Yes but I think whether we like it or not e-visa happening because everyone's on board with it, you know, like and weissbier what that? I mean what I mean by that is
the the politicians have decided that that's that's what it is that Greenies? That's what they want.
So it's kind of like whether it's the best environment.
Solution or not kind of doesn't matter because that's what's happening, so where there's a lot of vehicles and maybe so and then there should be some sort of just added could yesterday.
I did some sort of benefit in driving an electric vehicle in town. In the CBD, you may be paying a
Restless Road tolls that when you go over to Taiwan through schooling or something like that, well, we try to preserve and it love. That would know.
I also think like, you know, the fact that we're having this discussion shows that you know, the like the people are making these decisions, don't know anything, they don't know the facts, they don't know, they don't know what's going on.
They don't understand how it held this whole system works.
So that for me is the biggest worry that that we here discussing this point and we like well you know they don't even they don't even know what the answer is, you know that.
And you know, if you're going to touch on as a tax like like Most countries like Brazil with like you were saying earlier Robin in Vietnam, like a ranger is a hundred thousand dollars u.s.
right? Like that's what that must be
with all the taxes and everything, apply to what I already? If you're gonna, if you got to
do these taxes, what are you applied to?
When you buy the car in the first place?
I'm told in Vietnam, once you buy registration and pay for registration, you never never have to pay a registration again. That's because you're paying for
your registration. Yeah.
So it's probably possibly. Yeah, possibly a lot of textures
on that. Yeah, just on that Rob your
trip. Just one question I had.
Do you have to have a motorbike license to do that issue?
Or do you not? It is a difficult one.
You do feel pulled over by a cop, unless it, but if you do get pulled over by a cop let's go for it.
You just got free. Exactly.
How do you pay him off or you pay him off and take bribes.
I mean I do have a by cluster so it's okay.
But I'm just wondering I'll say I did it with a friend who Didn't, you know, and you can, you do license means nothing over there, you have to be a residence.
And you have to be there for three months before you can get their license. Their license, it is a real gray
area, but to the area that is not great with your travel insurance. If you go to photo bike
licensing, a bike, I need to be covered riding a motorcycle Vietnam. Is that, as long as you're
writing a got a stray, a motorcycle license and take out International Riders law license.
Yeah. Not covered under Insurance.
Yeah, that's right. But if you have no license, the
motorbike license, and if I motorbike as it has happened to regularly the world and the aforementioned barley are over the world. Yeah.
It's it's very, very badly. Okay.
So ideas and one. Qui my my My credit card
insurance going to the old country as well.
That said, specifically, it does not count if you're even if you're a passenger on a motorbike, we will not cover.
You have to pay extra for that. Okay.
It was complimentary Insurance like through the credit card.
So you know, you know paying anything for a but yeah they were very specific to mention that.
Even if you're the passenger on a motorbike, we don't care when I'm covering those injuries. Did it actually say we don't
care in know if it is more legally from that.
I'm paraphrasing David. I love the thought that they
could actually Well, doctors talk that one.
We actually just got a quick question for Holly.
So, with the AV cars, you know you're saying you can't charge them fully. Does that mean you got to sit
there and keep watching now, charged, unplug it, or is it just get to a point out of stock like this?
It goes like it on your app. With all the apps, it's like a
SWAT guy, like a bar, you sit atop when your app so once it gets there to shuts it off. Okay, cool.
I'll just wondering that. Okay, yeah, that makes sense.
But you did public charger when someone takes it out.
Well, thank you. Thank you.
Should be able to visit losses, lock play, Pick Your.
If you're at a Tesla charger will lock in maybe a generic, public Charger won't lock. On that, all that all TV's lock,
the guy got like, but the thing is, though, is like that I do, like, the pollster has the unlock button right in the chargepoint, next, this judge is opens the door and lock it.
I've been so good, Chad you're going to do is really easy.
The app will tell you, unless you give you notification when it's charged, all sorts of things is the applications, the brilliant. Yeah.
Especially if it's called not sure about the other cars.
Other cars haven't got that. So like that sorted get very
basic information, like will be on the side.
If you look at all the cameras, record your cameras from your app and everything was a another, my bosses are, Paul Stine's very Basic his app but it's maybe turn on the heating.
That's all you can do. My little show me, you know, how
much I've spent for charging how much I save on fuel and it actually downloads the local fuel prices all the time.
Daily just erupted it's pretty good.
So good that savings just goes to the text.
Yeah. Third of that goes to taxes.
Dollars. Yes, instead of having a 1270,
there's still a $900 saving in fuel thousand dollars to charge.
It this year so far. Okay, yeah, but you psychology
petrol. Thanks a lot.
Well, I mean, good answer there is if you have solar in your house and you get like really good, really good rebate for it but then again at the same same token, you still paying the tax anyway so your soul that you have to turn down the charge rate to match the solar output. All right.
Okay yep. Hey stupid.
To make it beneficial to see you actually using all your solar at the same time. Seemed like going over your 10
kilowatt system or your car charging at 12.
Kilowatts or whatever. Yeah.
Or seven kill white act, inverter need to turn down your charge them for seven kilowatts, which will take along with the Charger car twice, as long basically.
Yeah. So what I'm hearing is keep my
combustion engine because I can just go to the petrol station.
Plugin. I so I put the about.
Yeah, the pub in pump back and drive out, it's probably a bit.
That's it. You'd rather be you were driving
out like $120 for each time you can video dica.
Sure that I would have to work out like freaking you tax and take photos and work out you know child rights and your car be so efficient. When it Maddie, did uses nothing
near the field, it's actually pretty good.
Anyway, General, I think that's a podcast.
Awesome. Thank you Matthew.
Thank you. Thank you.
