Jeep Rubicon XR
The Jeep Rubicon XR is a special version of the Wrangler that is built for serious off-roading. It has better features to help it drive on rough paths and trails.
The Ford Ranger is a smaller pickup truck that can carry things in its bed and is good for driving on rough roads. It's popular because it's tough, gets decent gas mileage, and has cool tech features.
Off-roading means driving cars on rough surfaces instead of regular roads. It's a fun way to explore nature and requires special vehicles that can handle bumps and rocks.
AVs means self-driving cars that can drive on their own without anyone controlling them. They use technology to see the road and make decisions.

Oh man, good morning everybody.
It's 6.45 in Detroit.
Just got in on the red eye, and it's Sunday morning, and this is the first stop of my,
I guess you could call it my redemption road trip.
So I get to the airport, and Jeep graciously said, hey, do you need a vehicle while you're
in town?
And I said, well, I'm picking mine up, so it would be nice to have something for a couple
of days.
He said, no problem, we'll leave you something.
And just like I normally do if I came into town for a midi drive, and I get to the airport,
and what do they leave me?
A nice Rubicon XR.
And this one's in Mojito, so that's available for $25, so that's pretty cool.
So, super stoked to be driving a Jeep, to go get my Jeep, and yeah, got a lot to get
done, and tomorrow pick up the Wrangler, and Tuesday I'm going to be on the road.
So good morning Detroit, and thanks for welcoming me back, and Jeep, thanks for the wheels before
I get my wheels.
All right, let's hit the road.
All right, so I'm in my Wrangler Ford or Rubicon X, and the base price of this guy is $51,455,
and this one's got a ton of options on it.
So it's got the Rubicon X package, which is the napple leather seats, the power seats,
heated seats, heated steering wheel, Alpine premium audio, and the 35s, which is the big
part about this package.
Plus it's got the winch on it, so that's pretty cool.
It also has the 4-to-1 case, blind spot, remote start, automatic high beam, adaptive cruise
control, defrosper, all that good stuff, steel bumpers.
This one has Trader Toe and auxiliary switch group, all weather formats.
This is the 488 rear axle with the V6, and has a bunch of other stuff.
Half doors off mirror kits, I must have a set of half doors I got ordered with it, heavy
duty rock sliders, and the Jeep trail rated kit, so price is $76090, and that's including
the $1,895 destination charge, so in case anybody was wondering what I'm driving here,
and this is going to be my Steve for the next couple of days until I get to AV and pick
mine up.
So, alright, enough about that, I'm ready to get driving.
Alright so we're on the road in my awesome Wrangler, and just thinking about the week,
got a lot going on, got some meetings with some pretty important people, so excited about
that, obviously AVs tomorrow, picking up the Jeep, the 392 tomorrow, and dropping this
guy off, and it's just been kind of a whirlwind getting here, especially the last week, and
doing the red eye at the airport, and all that kind of stuff, and I've had listeners
and people on social reach out, and they're like, are you going to be okay driving?
And yeah, I don't, you know, no issues there, I want to drive, I'm excited, and getting
back into a red Jeep isn't going to be a big deal, really I'm just excited, I'm excited
to get back on the horse, and get over the hump, and get back to normal, and as normal
as possible anyway, and kind of get back to where I was, and can't wait to get the new
Jeep home, and give Marin a ride in it, and hopefully her and I can go road trip somewhere
together, and go do something fun, and basically just put all this behind us, so this is a
one of the last big things that's sort of in the way, right, is getting the car replaced,
and being able to go back out, and go off-roading, and have so many friends, and colleagues are
like, hey when are we going to hit the trail, can't wait to see you on the trail, and to
be honest, I can't wait either, so just a big deal, and I love coming to Detroit, I
love Michigan, especially this time of year with the leaves turning, it's so pretty, and
getting to see so many friends here, and unfortunately this is a quick trip, so I probably won't be
able to do a whole lot, but I'll squeeze as much in as I can while I'm there, and it'll
just give me excuse to get back out there again, which I think is totally fine, so yeah,
anyway, new Jeep should be awesome, meeting with AVs should be awesome, and I'm hoping
that I'll get some audio, probably with my buddy Matt, and we'll walk around the AV
Uptip Facility and talk about what they have there, and answer some AV questions, so I'll
do that, take advantage of that while I'm there, and yeah, so basically heading off
to where I'm going to be staying for the next couple of days, and I'm super stoked to be
back, and really, really excited for tomorrow, so no, I am not worried, or anxious, or anything
about tomorrow, this is going to be me getting back to where I need to be, and I'm so stoked
for it, so before I sign off for tonight, I just want to say again, thank you so many
people, I couldn't possibly name you all, so many brands, you know, just, I've been
supported by the industry, by my friends, by colleagues, by, you know, our followers
on social, followers of the podcast, companies, it's been so overwhelmingly amazing to get
to this point, and I definitely feel blessed, I feel like a miracle that I'm still here,
and I'm going to be pretty much physically, you know, for the most part back to normal,
and probably pretty close emotionally and mentally, I hope, and I'm just ready to get
back to life, so things could have been a lot different, whether it was me in a wheelchair
the rest of my life, which was certainly a possibility, or not being here, not having
a voice, not being able to continue the podcast, or a lot of things I do, but no, I've been
blessed, and I've been blessed by all of you, and your prayers, and everything, so anyway,
just wanted to say thank you one last time, maybe not one last time, maybe I'll say it
a hundred more times, but it's still great to have you along for this trip, and can't
wait to tell you what I'm doing, coming home, just to make some content along the way home,
and give you some cool podcast stuff, and we'll go from there, so thanks everybody,
and see you tomorrow.
