It was only really made one mistake when he crashed into the back of him at Canada.
Yes, apart from some false starts and bad qualifying.
Yeah, yeah, but he's still there.
He's been very, very consistent all year, like proper race mistakes.
He's made one, but the performance level wasn't consistently.
Not at the start of the year, but it has been since the break.
But yeah, this is the whole point.
Subplot, the subtext is that they changed the car mid-year to suit more Lando style.
This is what Oscar's complaining about.
Yeah, yeah, well, this is what Oscar's literally going to come out.
Yeah, yeah, he's been pushing this entire narrative.
Oh, you've missed this entire subplot, mate.
This is where the juiciness is.
Forget everything else.
The juiciness lies in the fact that Oscar is basically very publicly saying that McLaren are choosing Lando.
There was this whole scandal because he reposted a quote from Bernie Xton saying McLaren are choosing Lando.
For McLaren, Lando is the better bet.
Marketing wise, the investment that Lando's made into the team.
Like from all the storylines, they want Lando and Oscar reposted it.
He had to take it down.
Oh, so, and he's been quite evoked about it.
And I said, I don't love it because whilst it might be true, I just a bit like...
Was that what Lewis commented about?
Was that around the time when he was saying you got to be selfish when he was giving advice to Oscar?
Was that around that time as well?
I don't quite remember.
There was obviously the moment, was it Monza where they did the sort of odd possessions?
And he had a tantrum.
Yes, and I think that was sort of...
People said the straw that broke the camel's back of Oscar.
Anything like, this team want Lando to win.
They don't want me to win.
They will hire Lando to win.
And then obviously there was the breakdown at Zanvo.
Wasn't it for Lando?
Yeah, and Oscar was like, the team will look after him.
I'm not that fast like him.
And so, yeah, there's been a lot.
And I think Lando maybe made some coincidences.
What about Oscar reposting that on social media?
Maybe that was an AI article.
So anyway, the juiciness comes in, right?
The fact that maybe there's truth in it, I wouldn't be surprised.
But also the fact that Oscar is being quite outspoken of his dissatisfaction in the situation.
But is that...
Petrality, is that like, well, I've lost the championship or I've been losing the championship
and now I'm going to find someone else to blame rather than myself?
I don't know, but I love that.
What if what you're saying is true then?
I mean, what happens at the end of the season then?
As you go, well, I'm going.
Yeah, well, he's obviously messed around with contracts before.
You know, Alpine versus McLaren, et cetera.
I think he's obviously contracted for next year.
But the claim is he will get his view of the order and then try and jump ship.
And there's been a lot of things tying into a possible Ferrari move.
To replace either Lafayette or Lewis.
So, yeah.
Yes.
And that really screams Mark Werber energy to me.
Of, you know, being unhappy with how a team is treating the tribe.
I actually think 2027 Ferrari could have two new drivers.
Oh, yeah.
I know.
Oh, Lafayette or Leclerc.
Agreed.
Yeah.
I think if next year is a disaster, Lewis keeps saying weird things there, doesn't he, about like,
like the contract.
I think they're saying I'm so invested in, like, I will turn this around.
Suggest that it's like a sort of two plus one contract or three plus one or something.
But then last weekend, they said he's not looking forward to next season in general.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, all the drivers have been super things about next year.
They are all miserable about what the prospect of racing is next year.
But then I saw it quite the other day that they both said that they were happy in the
similar and the car looks good.
Leclerc and Lewis.
That felt like a PR lighter, isn't it?
Well, that's another thing, by the way.
Are there now really having to tow the line then too?
What about that?
I couldn't pull it out.
I mean, this for me sums up for either, right?
This is like, I go with the customers.
You don't have a car?
OK, they're no problem.
100%.
Yeah, I suppose a line or a route.
Yeah, yeah.
And I couldn't quite believe it.
And I was it Corrine Chanticle or maybe Ted Kravitz.
I was just disun peace.
They were like, poor Charlotte Claire.
Because to be honest, Leclerc's not really said too much.
He's been a little bit grumpy here and there, but it is really Lewis.
He's been pretty outspoken being like, this is all a disaster.
He's coming to what he would consider being a shit show mate.
He's come from a machine in Mercedes.
And he's come to Ferrari and gone, what the bloody hell is this?
Because their process would be completely different.
And again, I do not claim to be an expert.
I do not have the inside track.
I'm just reading articles that are out there and picking up on stories.
But I've heard or read, you know, that yes, he's been trying to push back
against that and create new pro and he was basically told to jog on.
And like, just get on with this.
So why is he there then?
Well, I think that's a bit he's a bit like he's a disaster.
I've come here.
I've tried to figure stuff out.
I can't try and drive the car.
It's not going well.
I can't go on top of it.
Like, I think he's just miserable.
And that's actually wasn't in the Saudis.
But yeah, 2027 could be an all changed lineup.
George Russell.
And I was completely out.
I'd like to see Leclerc in another car.
I'd like because I do rate Leclerc.
I would like to see him.
And I'll tell you what, I know you don't like him.
I'd like to see Russell in a proper championship car because I think
they could both win championships easily.
Hands down.
Well, I'm 100%.
I think they are.
And I know everyone Lord's max, but I think them to our max level.
Agreed.
Yeah.
And if I had machine, they put those three in equal cars.
I would say at the moment Russell Leclerc and Max still.
And I think Oscar, because of the second half of the year, it's hard to say,
but I think, you know, he's going to be there or there else.
But those three for me are the, I think they're the, they're the free
and Lando as well.
Well, if he wins a championship, Lando for sure.
There's always, it's not fair on him, but everyone always overlooks.
And I've done it, but on now's evidence, you can't make.
Well, it was he, he's clearly unbelievable.
Well, what's fascinating is of that generation, Leclerc, Russell, Albon, Norris,
he was always the last, you know, he was.
And that's why I think people have always never taken him that seriously.
But he got in there nearly man.
But yeah, he's going to be the first one of them to show you a championship.
So, and yeah, I think his development and the way he's turned this season around has
been amazing and fascinating.
And we'll give him all the covenants that yeah, he's required.
And I think people to probably go, yeah, there he is.
But no, yeah.
2026 is going to be fascinating in general because the drivers have been largely negative
about what the cars will be like to drive and the racing and all these kind of things.
So I think they're all putting a bit glum where what the pecking border is.
Let's wait and see.
But yeah, that for me, because yeah, it's Lando's to lose at the moment.
Or it's my clowers to lose for Lando as they seem to be trying to do.
Max, I love that he's creating the excitement.
I don't think he probably quite realistic about the fact that he needs a major
DNF or some kind of issue to really be back in the game.
Lando could wrap it all up.
Could he wrap it up in the sprint race?
If Max and Oscar don't finish, could he wrap it up in the sprint?
No, he can only wrap it up by the Grand Prix.
So by Sunday, he could be championed by Sunday.
If he wins the Grand Prix and it doesn't matter what happens if he wins the Grand Prix
because it'll be more than 25 points.
So it doesn't matter if he wins the Grand Prix.
He's dark champion.
But I just wanted with the sprint.
Anyway, you can't think Oscar and Max instead take each other out.
I can't do the math score DNF.
Yes.
There's 24 points and there's 58.
Oh, yeah.
It has to be at the Grand Prix anyway.
Fine.
So yeah.
So great.
But I just find the story, the sort of falling apart, the player rules and Oscar's kind of
dissatisfaction with the situation and the sort of thought that McLaren have pushed the
car towards Landau a little bit.
I just find that all quite roughly, especially going into next year.
Yeah.
I love the subplots in Formula One, especially at this time of the season.
Because there's so many other stories going on.
But anyway, good for us and means we've got that.
So I've got prediction for next year.
How are you going to have to pass this car?
Can you?
It's going to win the championship.
Oh, yeah.
We're just working on that.
Dude.
Well, Cadillac and Audi coming in.
Firstly, the Audi launch that all my colleagues went to.
Oh, silver and red.
The store.
I was like, come on, guys, let's see it.
Like silver.
It was only going to be silver.
I really shouldn't.
Because if I went there, I've only done the same thing, but it's very much the drinking
of the Kool-Aid slash.
I hope we get panic passes for the rest of the year.
So, yeah, Audi.
You know why I discredit Audi?
This is so bad.
It's because of their drive lineup.
That was really harsh.
Obviously, Hülkenberg has been amazing this year.
Amazing.
But like, come on, bro.
And then Vomitoletto.
I take Cadillac more seriously because of Perez and Bottas.
She's got a name.
I just thought if Audi really thought, and I think they said it in their mission statement
that, as I say, my colleagues reposted everywhere, that this is a, in their 2030, I think is
their aim for a championship.
So they're definitely seeing this as a long build.
Yeah, yeah.
Take it when Mercedes came back.
Schumacher and Rosberg.
Yeah.
Like, come on, Audi.
Like, I just sort of thought they would go hard for a bigger driver, but maybe that's the
very Germanic Audi, like, sensible approach of like, we've got a pairing that we know can
perform.
Hülkenberg is delivering.
Bottoletto is a great feature challenge.
F2 champion.
And it gives us a slow and steady build.
You know, Cadillac, Perez, you say, Cadillac is Perez and Bottas.
Right.
Okay.
So, yeah.
So I've got mixed up.
So Cadillac, Cadillac turns the fastest car and Bottas to win this.
Which would be insane.
Well, Bottas would have won.
If he won for Lewis, Bottas would have won a championship.
Would have won a championship for sure.
Because he finished second.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Perez would have never won a championship at Red Bull.
But I still like, yeah.
The Cadillac thing is, because it's been so long since you had a new, new team to form
the one.
They are literally starting from scratch.
Scratch.
That's going to be unreal.
And they're going big on the PR with those two drivers.
I mean, that is exciting.
Into regulations that none of us really know what to expect.
It could be a bit of a disaster, by the sounds of it, in terms of racing.
I try to think there was a year.
Yeah.
24 to 9, 20.
When they had the sort of penis front wings.
Penis noses.
That's right.
Yeah.
I don't know what the person was learning when they described the phallic design of cars.
And then there was an era when the racing was really crap.
I just think we might have a bit of a tear gear.
Always going to be amazing.
Now it's, the Cadillac story fascinates me, as does Audi.
But Audi is a bit more predictable, isn't it?
Because we've seen what's been said.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You must say it's wincing.
Anyway, wasn't supposed to be an F1 broadcast.
Always fun to learn.
And so the scene has, the season has just become space.
All about pendants, hasn't it?
All about pendants.
And it's just supposed to be an agony art episode.
So welcome back.
We got strapped in there for a second.
But I'm sure those of you that are in depth F1 are equally as hyped by the final couple
races of the year.
If you missed our first go at this a few weeks ago.
Essentially, we are here to answer your car buying dilemmas.
Yeah, this came off the back of Tony and I receiving regular questions on Instagram emails.
You know, what should I buy with all this?
Have some fun and try and help people out is like what they should buy.
We still haven't got a theme tune working on that goal.
And we want to bring back stock watch as part of this.
We may do that in this episode.
Yeah, but we haven't prepared that.
So it's going to be all in the fly stock watch anyway.
Yeah, we need to we need to bring stock watch back.
Well, I've had some luck.
Yeah, I've seen a few nice cars knocking around.
Well, something got shed on Classic Drive today, which was an MGB Resto mod.
And they're placed that we went to.
We drove that 964 RS in the Netherlands.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, classic classic.
Yeah, they've got this nice thing.
You're really nice.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Two of the short wheelbase inspired MGB with a V8 and F.
That looks so cool.
That's a huge accident.
It does, doesn't it?
Or just like really unreliable.
I buy it.
It's never going to work.
Huge accident and instant death.
Instant death.
I want to crash in an MGB.
No, no, we've got some very intriguing inquiries this week,
some of which is so some impossible to relate to.
But I love that for us.
So keep starting with Arjun.
So Arjun says, love the podcast.
Never miss an episode.
I like including these.
That is the door because this makes us feel better about it.
Are you sure you haven't bloody just put that in the top?
I may as well.
Do you guys recommend we should do keep our A12 super fast
or change it for an event store SV?
We feel like the SV will hold and rise in value in the future
as it's a limited run car, but servicing is a bit off-putting.
Or keep the A12.
We love the car and Ferrari brand and want to maybe add a Pista
alongside it.
If we don't swap the A12 for the SV, we'd love to hit your thoughts.
Now, hold on a second because am I missing something?
But he's doing all right.
Well, firstly, he's doing all right, but that's not like completely
sort of like a laced mouse.
I'll send you a relatable message.
He's sparkly, little man.
How much are SVs worth these days?
I don't know.
How about this?
It's entirely 500 grand now.
I think it might be about to be sick.
Hold on a sec.
It's a 750-4 Superval option.
That's the white one, isn't it?
I can't remember the last time I looked.
Oh, yeah.
They're 300 or grand.
Are they still for...
Is it SVJ that's nearly 500 grand, is it?
Yeah, but I think in America, they're like all the money.
SVJ is a 500 or four something.
Yeah.
So, hold on a sec.
An add a Pista if we don't swap for the SV.
I've got an idea.
Go on.
I have the SV and the Pista.
Get rid of the A12.
I don't really understand the Pista line.
An, let's just keep it focused on the...
What?
Let's just focus on the A12 versus SVJ.
Want to maybe add a Pista alongside it
if we don't swap it for the A12.
Because he wants something a bit more dynamic than the A12.
Well, so he's under the A12 and Pista or SVJ.
But financially, it's too much money.
Yeah, but also, yeah, I'd have the Pista and the SV
because they're completely different.
You think they're the same, but they're not.
No, they're not.
But I'm just going to ignore the Pista line.
Let's focus on the main question.
A12 Superfast or Event Store S?
SVJ.
Why?
Because from a...
Is it in the street or which foot?
Just from, I mean, it will drive way worse.
It'd be a terrible car compared to the A12.
In what ways, expand?
In every bloody way, mate, apart from the noise.
It doesn't go left or right very well.
It's got terrible gearbox.
The brakes don't work.
Like literally everything though.
OK, so why are you recommending it?
Because of that reason.
I so don't understand you this year.
No, because that's actually since we've come back from our summer break.
Yeah?
What?
Well, I like all cars.
I don't have to do cars anymore.
And event toys fees?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Over a Ferrari D12?
Yes.
Are you looking for us to get banned by Ferrari?
I'm so confused.
So why?
But I wouldn't be right.
Everyone's going to agree with me.
Well, I sort of agree with you.
But I'll keep that makes me feel a bit sick.
Because he's just cooler, mate.
Like, who cares about an A12 now?
Do you know what I mean?
The only problem with the SV is he's right.
Serves in a way.
Spayers will occur.
There's no tell.
The only thing about just wait a minute.
The only thing about the SV is the serves in a maintenance cost.
They will be horrendous.
The V12 Lambos is odd.
Yeah, yeah.
And it's like our warranty.
You can't get a proper because Lambo don't do their own warranties like Ferrari.
From a financial point of view, you are way better off in the A12
because it's still a bloody service plan on it.
But I think it could be right about future SBVs.
Lamborghini's are finally starting to fall into the grasp
or the eyes of collectors.
This is my thinking.
But you just said that financially a bit better off in the A12.
No, no, from a maintenance financial point of view.
Okay, fine.
But you're going to give it all back by serves.
Yeah, so you might make a good investment,
but you will spend that on keeping the car alive.
Yeah.
I think he's got a very good point.
Events to SB Future Classic.
Absolutely.
And inherently Lambos are starting to do one.
If you look at America, the Lamborghini is insane.
We're talking about Mercilago.
SBVs and manuals going for a million plus dollars in the U.S.
and stuff like that.
So events to SB should could, sorry, trap in the same direction.
I don't think the 12 inherently will a standard A12 super fast.
If you look at Ferrari standard B12s, inherently don't go insane.
Value wise, at least not 40 or 50 years.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You know, you've got to go in a long while for that cost.
I'm doing already fly.
I'm especially having the A12s they made and I'm with you.
Like, I love the theater of the events to SB.
Like, yeah, it's probably always going to make you smile,
depending quite how you use it and how tall you actually write down.
You know what?
And we'd use it right over.
But when you break down.
Yes.
Actually like break sound.
So unless you try and do a hill start in it.
Up, up, you know, like, you know, like clutch starts.
You know, it seems to be going to burn to clutch it.
If you're doing your driving test, if you're doing a driving test.
Well, he's now practice a hill start.
You think the clutch will actually, no, that's too ridiculous.
It's not, mate.
They're kind of hitting up and digging up, sitting with my own eyes.
What?
Literally like an events to SB doing a hill start.
Not, not doing a hill start.
But I've seen clutches basically fall out from SVs.
They're really bad, mate.
I've really, you know, you have a lovely time.
Well, despite everything that being said, we both think you should get
the events to SB.
Because I like an 812, but it's just a bit like, yeah, get the events to SB.
Yeah.
Again, let's be, get golfers.
Oh, that's the weirdest.
Yeah.
Okay.
Moving on.
So next up, we've got Tommy, hopefully you can come to my rescue.
I've been leasing quite plain and sensible cars for the last four years.
The chrome car I have is a 2025 CLA 220d premium plus.
Oh, guess I'll get the job done.
The lease is coming to an end in June.
Okay, we got a while to figure this out.
I want to replace it with something more fun as a daily.
I'm 26 and I don't have children.
It's just me and my partner.
I would like to put 15 to 20 K down as a deposit and keep them up to be
payments below is liquid a month.
What do you recommend was looking at a 9919 11 either dot one or dot two,
a Panamera or an M for anything else, but with a strong residual that
you'd consider looking forward to.
So it's PS.
I hate the LP.
So don't recommend the LP now.
Okay.
So we've got a lot to think about here.
Firstly, then the cars you're looking at 9919 11 and four or Panamera.
Get rid of the Panamera.
I love the Panamera, but if you're looking for something that's going to
excite you, be a bit more fun.
That's not going to take the box.
The Panamera is an unbelievable all round luxury premium quality estate car
or saloon car that sometimes breaks down that.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Derek in the Panamera.
I can see why you're thinking residual eyes because family wise,
they are cheap to finance, but they also lose a ton of money.
So it's going to be in a, you just don't do it.
And you're 26.
He's 26 May and he, I'm got kids.
Yeah.
I don't know if you've got a dog M for 991 dot one or two.
So, okay.
Real me this, actually, um, it's interesting when you get into finance,
he's talking about strong residuals because he wants to be able to get
into something where the monthly payments are going to be manageable,
but talking about the cars there M for Panamera, they're going to lose
in her is so much money because these are cars that kind of, you know,
it's appreciate face nor not the nine on one and lose less than an M for now
agree.
You can still PCP and M for you couldn't PCP and 991 interesting,
but you can do a HP balloon.
Yeah.
HP balloon.
So, so yes.
Strongly speaking, you don't want to start getting to a negative equity frame of
mind.
You want to use them for no, no, but, but do you want to say where it's
in a big deposit down as well, mate?
He's flexed his muscles.
He's flexed his muscles.
They're not 20 grand.
He doesn't put that much in boy.
But the point being what I'm trying to get to is strong residual.
So would you say that those three cars will have strong residuals because
that is the predicted future value of a vehicle, right?
Yeah, which inherently we discussed banks have been a little bit hesitant
on in the last few years or be inviting those down and just focusing on
a car with a strong residual.
For example, let me just try and say now very, thank you.
Well done.
I'd never find that word in my brain elaborate on this further and alpina
not an alpina alpina.
So the B threes and the D fours are insanely expensive to finance
despite their actual RRP is the residuals are very, very bad.
So you have a car that's an equivalent value of an M three, but
it will be 300 quid a month more to finance.
Yeah, because they don't really know what it's going to be worth
at the end.
They're way more comfortable with the M three and the M four
because they make loads of them and they know roughly what it's going
to be at the end.
Yes, but therefore.
Okay, fine.
So what are we talking about here?
15 to 20 grand down.
So it was a quid a month.
You're RRP roughly.
We're looking at sort of as 75 80 grand cars.
Yeah, something like that or a bit more tiny bit.
I know 90 grand car.
No, not we're not not not with what was he saying?
Six hundred pound a month.
Yeah.
Oh, payments below six hundred.
Yeah.
No, me 75 grand car max like tops tops.
Yeah, yeah.
Look ahead.
So let's let's say 1670 grand car.
Yeah.
Yeah.
RRP used M four.
I love gen one GT four gen one GT four probably got fairly alright.
Was it your or even a gender even 718 GT four probably get 718.
Yeah, you could probably have to put 20 in.
But yeah, 20 in and yeah, the monthly I would be nervous and you're
almost interest only at that point.
Okay.
It's never great.
It's not great.
No, let's run a real investment grade car note.
Okay.
So let's step away from that for a second.
You always said that the Audi RS products are fairly good.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
So what are we looking at?
There'd be four other in the other know the RS cars.
I agree.
That's why I was like, what would we be thinking about?
And I would only say RS three because RS four, RS five.
But I'd have a I'd have an M four over an RS fruit.
I think I'd agree.
Yeah.
As good as it is the RS three as in to go A to B.
Yeah.
It is a good car, but it's not really got any character.
Yeah.
I agree.
So so was you might be able to get to a lot of car for the money.
Maybe not going to excite you as much.
So let's go away through the Germans.
Mercedes and AMG product.
Obese 63.
Seven fours better and falls better.
I'm honest for a van.
Yeah.
The Audi stuff is a selling piece of touched on the Porsche life.
I mentioned yet.
I just get in an older car with the Porsche.
That's the problem.
You know, and like these new BMWs now they're so bloody good.
They've got all the tech in them.
Yeah.
You know, it looks like you still have warranty.
Would you get an M for an M to 61 off does Neil that money?
Yeah.
M two is probably slightly better though.
Yeah.
I think I get an M two.
Yeah.
I got an M two.
Yeah.
I think I would at that money at 50 60 grand.
I think I'd have the M two.
What's the alternate choice?
I'm going to put in your issue.
You're going to get a three year old M four or like a year old M two.
I think I'd have the M two.
Compact.
So because you get new screens and all that nonsense.
Max price six and required.
And then we're going to say he wants something fast ish doesn't he?
So all that he fast all father and all power or more.
Yeah.
It's a fast enough.
So just as a quick scroll through to some other options.
He's not going to want an SUV.
But let's get rid of that.
Yeah.
Exhibition.
We don't want it.
Body type.
Keeper saloon coupant saloon.
Let's say.
No, I say just to see.
Well, let's just have a little look.
I just want to get some inspiration.
Well, that's theoretically an F type.
But I'm going to say it's an obvious.
There's also a V8 advantage as well in there that you'd get that money.
But which one?
The V8 one.
The turbo.
There's about yeah.
Of course.
So that's and that's a C 43 and 345 HP balloon.
He wouldn't get a PCP on this tour.
Lexus LC.
I do really like nothing.
The LC 500.
I do.
I do really like that.
I think that's a great car.
But it's not going to be drawing a battle around.
But yeah, it's not going to give you like that fun that we were spoken about.
Came in due to force you on the show.
Yeah.
This is a little bit.
Yeah.
No, this is Mustang dark horse.
The new dark horse.
I'll quit in fall.
No, no, I just I said, what's the alternative?
I was I led to think of just some fun.
So the car works our way through the obvious ones.
Yeah.
So what what could be some fun alternatives that we haven't talked about?
Carrera 17 just came to you.
You can't suggest in worse cars, the more up there.
No, no, I'm just stigging.
We've got a variety in that.
Oh, that's a good.
I just want to see what else comes up that we're not thinking of or considering.
Because sometimes it's just interesting to be like, oh, that's what they want to sport.
Yes, you vary if you consider Panamera.
What sort of SUV would you add?
GTS or an F price Svr.
F is as far as the vibe.
Yeah.
Always fun to look at a bit.
If you see if he's going Panamera, he's 26, mate.
Like, yeah, bloody live a little mate.
Yeah, I agree.
Hi.
Oh, I think the Cayman had pissed your misses off.
You had to know your misses.
The GT for two, sort of.
Yeah, I'm not getting.
This is not particularly inspiring.
My little search here.
I've got to be honest.
Okay.
Well, okay.
GTS Cayman.
That's a good car.
Yeah.
Great one.
Four litre.
Yeah.
That's a good car.
That's to get off to 2022 car.
That's all right.
It's a good show.
Get the benefit.
The reason that we know lots of sort of Porsche freaks.
It's because the residuals are good.
The Porsche's as well.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know what?
Do you see TFGJ just got that 840R?
I'm watching Alexander's.
It's such a flask isn't it?
I mean, you work this money for it.
He's definitely did enjoy it.
He's got way too many.
But you know, there's stuff like that, which you know, even M8s and stuff like that.
But I don't know how fun that's.
You know, but you're trying so hard to use the daily set.
No, no, no.
I'm talking about for here, for tow.
No, we don't want that.
Okay, let's move on.
Next up, Anthony or oh, he's just signs off Rodney.
Let's go with Rodney.
Rodney, I'm in a very lucky musician.
We'll have about 200 grand spent on a car.
Go on, Rodney.
So I like these like out of touch ones.
They're fun, aren't they?
It looks to be a touch for me.
Ryan, Joni, who hardly say what if you got no money left?
This is literally the most steering.
This is fantastic.
It needs to be a car that I can use fairly regularly once or twice a week
and be able to carry a set of golf clubs.
I love motorcams and events doors, but can only get the cubs
in the passenger seat.
Not ideal.
Get a 992 GT3 with comfort seats and a voltage delete
with tickle the boxes and leave me with the battery to get a change.
An F12 is a contender, but it's not going to be potential issues
with any rubber ball joints, exception.
Oh, he knows his stuff.
My first choice is an A12.
Obviously, concerns over reliability and cost of repairs
will always be the back of my mind.
Although for I improved comes with two years warranty.
Any suggestions or experience with any of these cars and about.
Okay.
Just go for it out of there.
DB2 up.
Can I keep flying?
Bentley Continental.
Of course.
Like of course Bentley Continental and you could get you could get a GT speed.
You get the Larry one for 200 grand, probably the one at the carbon
ceramics and all the performance, all that kind of stuff.
I get the sense that's going to be too old manny for Ronnie
because he's talking about events doors and Huracan.
I know reason F12s.
Roma.
Oh, Roma.
Get that.
Roma is a fantastic shout.
A really Larry Roma is a really good shout.
But would you not go for an A12 at that price?
No.
Why not?
Because I love the Roman because it's newer and it will work better.
And the A12 was inherently a little bit more super car-y.
Yeah.
The Roman you can use a bit more.
You can even put two people in the back if you want to.
Big people, but you can.
Or Luce.
No, I'd have the Roma still.
I saw it in a mouth video on day.
No, you did not.
I think I did in London.
No.
I was in London Square, you know.
We had the new lights.
You know, the Fram.
I think they do the fresh drives.
I don't know.
I have not been.
I saw it.
It's literally past the other side.
I disinvited.
Have you?
Yeah.
Oh, I've been over that.
Who's a me?
No.
I thank God.
I don't know.
They're great.
And I love Fram.
You've only slept in the near.
I think I have.
I read between.
I read between the lines of like.
And they haven't said much and they're very open.
And then I was like, oh, I think I upset some people.
So I wasn't.
I was a little bit.
I was too inquisitive about the mouth.
Do you know if I put my hand up?
So why don't you just call it the moment?
What do you think?
It's not good for a Roma.
Hey, no, I killed him.
This man will not drive my car.
Anyway, this will be one.
Um, let's do about it.
So yeah, DB 12 or DB L, the old DBS.
But I think I don't think I think he's going to say.
I think Ron is going to go Roma round.
He's talking about Huracans, event stores, GT3s, Afton.
I think you see, I think as Rome was being too junior below him,
but he wants something for golf clubs and to do anything.
I think you go on some and to use failing regularly once or
twice week to be able to carry golf clubs.
So he wants that.
She's I mean, you've got something flashy.
Why do you want a GT3 to use regularly twice a week to go to the golf club?
This was a flash.
Get in the best way possible.
I love you, but you put GT3 up.
That's what I mean.
If if you want a GT3, a Huracan event store at 812,
you don't want a Roma because a Rome is not flashy enough for you.
It's too uncertain.
Same with the Bentley.
He wants a little bit of like a because you're not taking a GT3 just to the golf
course, unless you want people to go like, oh, look at you and your GT3.
Well, most people are supposed to Porsche.
But yeah, you'd get a turbo s if you actually just want him.
So he wants a little bit of like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
So I'm thinking.
I'll tell you what else I'm thinking.
Go on.
He's got 200 grand to spend on a super car.
The only car has got either probably got other cars.
So why don't you stop being such a flash kit and use one of your other cars for
the golf and then use that car for your special stuff to which point get the
Huracan or the event store if you want to be flash.
Yeah, for a one F8 for 200 grand or an F8 or F8, the overlooked for all.
Yeah.
And if it's a great as on the procedure, got that green one of them.
Yeah.
Can't have your golf clubs in it though.
So I visit one.
I think he wants a flash car stick to the golf course, but not by job because it
what he wants one that is flash but can fit his golf clubs in.
But we've told him the ones that can do that.
You can't really.
That's it.
You can't make a car up, mate.
When you're a forward thinker, you don't just bring your A game.
You bring your AI game.

Hi, this is Christy from back to the bar.

pricing based on first month only.
Yeah, but I think you think we've missed one.
Maserati ground.
No may fall gone.
Because you could love insurance.
Okay.
You can get them see 20 and the GT like a 99 one over she.
Yeah.
Like you could like spit the money, but I just I'm just reading
between the lines here, Ronnie.
I think you want people at the golf club to go look at that legend
and therefore a brown DV 12 is your choice because it's elegance.
Think it's elegant.
It's great.
It fits the golf clubs, but it's also like look at that guy.
I'm gonna.
I'm just gonna keep flying that Aston flag.
Okay.
Or dbx 707.
Yeah, I was thinking Urus.
Yeah, you're us.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Oh, actually.
Wait, it's that's it.
What's the US platform?
And how much is that these days?
Probably close to that because then you've got your Lambo who
kind of invented all this that actually can fit all the stuff
at you.
And if you get in a Larry spec, which most uses are everyone's
going to turn their heads.
And I think more non car people appreciate the US than they
do a hotel and events door.
I think they see the US.
They are.
That's cool.
We do have kind of events door.
They go.
Yeah.
We've we've slashed it.
Let's get can you use peppermint?
Which is actually a shite car.
Okay.
Moving on.
Ash K and oh God actually actually actually there we go.
These from the Netherlands.
I currently own a Fiat Punto for a daily run around and the
Namex 5 for occasional Nürburgring trips.
Yeah.
I have had a few six cylinder BMWs.
I'm looking to change my cars for around 20 K currently
interested in the first gen BMW Z4 Coupe Porsche Boxster.
So all make a sensible choice and buy a BMW 135 by as I became
a dad recently.
Mostly it's just an manual rear wheel drive and short wheel
based cars.
What would you suggest?
Well yes I'm so here for the like Z3 M Z4 clown shoe or that
was the Z4 M wasn't it a box to ask like a 9 8 or 9 8 7 box
to sorry speedster spider spider if he's got the kid mate.
Yeah.
Like keep the Fiat Punto keep in the daily OIC because you
could buy the 135 by I'm assuming he's talking about the
rear wheel drive variant that that was that to your team
as he keep in the MX 5.
No, he says he could either keep the Punto and swap the MX
5 out for something a little bit more silly or choke them
both in and get.
Yeah, sort of something like 20 K hot hatchy type that you
could do it all in.
So I know I did the box that personally.
So you would you would keep the Punto for the daily absolute
responsibility and then just upgrade their X 5 and you get
a box that you wouldn't get a gen one came in a 97 came in
and I'd get a box to put the roof down or always rains in
the Netherlands but also as well like using a hot hatch
there's your one car can get a bit boring so use the Punto
for your boring stuff your daily chores then when it comes
to the weekend or whenever you want to go for a bus you then
got something special but feel special for way longer.
I agree.
I agree.
You want the special guy the speaking from experience.
You want the special car.
We've done we've done this yes.
If you use the special car too much it is inherently that
special.
So yeah, so yeah, I am.
I think you've done me well.
There was do you know I know I did a an event a cafe in a
machine and it came to one of our BTG lives with a Z 4 M
there and he put the M 3 wheels on it.
It looks perfect.
It was a beautiful car really cool car.
So I think that's a that's a that's a wicked shout.
Have we been helpful that I'm not sure we have but we have.
Okay.
This is now from Andrew.
I've got 15 K in cash and I'm comfortable with a further
field out there in finance.
I guess a range of stress free 15 K purchases to a more
stretch 30 K purchases.
This will be the households third car.
We are out of control here.
Can't hear x6 40 D family SUV and a mini Cooper S EEV of that.
I'm looking for a light small B road weapons were on place
my motorbike.
I'm six three luxury is not priority.
I've tested driven a GBS kick cars as a catering.
Oh my God as well as a X inch S 2 supercharged but I've now
gone snow blind and I can't see past these options.
What am I missing?
What car should I buy?
It's a pump for 30 K.
Yes, financed.
Yes.
The you know, look at 2020 car 19 car that's sort of money.
That's a great car for 30 grand that car.
I can't get I think he's going to claim that's too big and heavy.
He wants small light that replaces his motorbike.
I mean the loads is such a obvious.
The catering again, but just our pins are not going to be at 30 K.
Are they?
Oh, G IZ 6.
Yeah, that's exactly literally that.
I was just about to say we are you need to go drum.
Do you see us?
Yeah, I six and and just put Larry bits on that.
We had time.
Yeah, it's through to G.
IZ 6.
Don't actually sure.
Oh, you beat me to it, Bob.
Two seconds.
Yes.
No, no.
Yeah, that's what you're missing.
It's if you're going on light and not a lot of power.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, I would I really say the lotuses will be a little bit
more feel a little bit more spicy.
The catering is very spicy because I love them both.
But I don't know why GBS kick cars, but he says it's catering
like but I do think a G IZ 6 that we know we've seen some
amazing ones over the years that get fettled with and and
there's so many companies to kits and whatever.
What's going to just see?
Oh, the other thing which is these V8 swapped.
That makes fives from what's the company called?
Why are you trying to file entry roof?
Well, that is my drug.
That is my recent dream of V8.
So the V6, it wasn't that company called?
Dunno.
No idea.
Chevrolet is the V8 MX-5.
Maybe it's a V6.
Even a V6 one.
So why too much power?
Well, you can supercharge them.
No, no, no.
They do the engine swap.
So they must be a V6.
Well, I've got no internet in here today.
Not my name.
I ain't paid your bills.
I'll be here for probably.
Okay, well, let's move on.
So there we go.
We've come up with an option.
Right.
Let's move on.
Good option, I think.
Okay, we're getting a question now from, oh, come on.
I thought so bad.
Did you shout?
Yeah, I think so.
What car should I buy?
I currently own a 2017 M2 manual.
I've only ever owned manual cars.
My next car must be a coupe or a shooting break, but not an estate.
No hot hatches or cabs.
I prefer manual, but obviously that drastically reduced the options
to very reluctantly open to an auto, but has to be dramatically
quicker than an M2 in auto form.
I want to call this interesting.
I don't need rear seats, but I would, but I would, and I do need
to be able to daily it and carry three small dogs in the boot.
Wow.
You're making this hard for us here.
Not attractive person, but love touring Europe and daily duties.
Okay, so let's recap.
He's in an M2 manual.
He wants a coupe or a shooting break would like it to be manual as well.
So much money she got.
Oh, oh my God.
It's going for a long time.
I wasn't in 97.2 in manual, but they seem to have hit 40K these days.
Forget that.
He hasn't actually said we consider high mileage like an M6 V10.
Oh my God.
He's not mentioned muddy.
He's mentioned the fact he hates GTRs, which we never tend to recommend
all this for cars.
So spot for the F type V6 S manual, but three dogs.
You're not getting three dogs in an F type.
No.
This is an impossible one.
Hold on.
That big a challenge.
We've got a challenge on our hands here.
And the car shouldn't tank in value.
Well, okay.
Fine.
I mean, so if you want to not mess around, yes, but here we go.
Yeah, Porsches are three small dogs, three small dogs in the boot
or somehow.
So yes, let's just not mess around for a second.
You can look at the 996's turning will shrug.
He's not mentioned values.
That's really hard to figure out three dogs in the boot of a 996.
No, no, but you can have them on the site on the passenger seat on the back seat.
So you could figure that out.
And if a 992, which are amazing in manuals, they are very inherently expensive,
but you can get quite special 996's for, I don't know what your budget is made,
but that's the problem.
If we need to be saying 40K is too high, I'm assuming he means around 30.
We have no idea how high mileage is.
This is really difficult because there's so many things to
there is.
Yeah.
Are you really buying a car online on auto trader right now?

Hi, this is Christy from Back to the Bar.
You've probably heard about GLP-1 weight loss medications and the side effects
that can come with jumping in too fast.
That's why I love Noom makes getting started easy.

Pricing based on first month only.
Okay, so what are some, okay, let's, let's try and help them by this thinking about some
alternative manual semi-cheap coupes.
Like, you could go and get an early vantage, but I think that's a disaster.
Do you want me to do that?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I wouldn't recommend it, but it's a cool car.
And I say, I think you've got to go, we've got to think like old.
They can, yeah, like, yeah.
Apart from a GR86 now, there's no modern manual coupes really.
They're all auto.
Begrude.
So we got, we got, we got to run it back.
Memory's not very good.
That's the problem.
I am going to think of something, but probably on Thursday.
Well, there's no good manual ANGs for a long time.
I know.
So they're out of the window.
You can go in cars, but you're already in that black of the word.
So I'm a bit like, yeah, it's not going to interest you massively.
And Audi's as well.
Like, not the right.
No.
So then, you know, Aston's, Bentley's definitely not.
No, you're not getting a manual.
One of those.
No Jags.
Well, you've mentioned the manual V6 SF type.
It's not the nicest gearbox ever.
That was a little bit spotless.
And I dareable.
I don't think it suits the car.
No.
I would get an auto VA F type for sure.
You said, yeah, soft spot.
Like, that's perfect for European tours and daily like F type will.
F type will take all the boxes, but you said you want a manual idea.
Yeah.
Oh, God.
Yeah.
So the early Vantage is by just, I just think it's going to fill a bit.
Sloan comes and you can go do the CTR kits, the challenge, the road kits,
like, and they are great.
But I know.
Go on Subaru WRX in Preccia turbo.
Interesting.
Wow.
Okay.
Now is what kind of year?
Like a fifth, 15.
So you get like a, like a deal when they stop making it.
You give 25 grand for one of them.
Got a big character.
It's got four toes.
I'm just trying to think of manual.
Goodness.
Yeah.
Hot hatch.
Yes.
Like nice, flexible.
Yeah.
Cause I would go like, you know, McGann RS, Civic Type R, like do that.
Everyone does it while I hatch.
Yeah.
Or, or cab.
This was a coupé, man.
Yeah.
You are going to have to go old as gold.
Broke.
Yeah.
Or a mince bitchy, bloody, EVO, 10 or 11, whatever they are.
Then after they done manual then, I think they were bloody all auto then.
Can't get anything fun in Italian at that age.
Cause it has a bright face.
Yeah.
Like disaster in fries and that sort of stuff.
God, I think Toyota then was there.
God, that's a really tricky one, isn't it?
Yeah.
I think, okay.
So then cause what he's looking, what he's describing there really is a hot hatch.
Yes.
That's what he's describing, but the car that he wants almost doesn't exist.
So you got to go really left field and think of something like completely out the bloody,
you know, it's faster than a 27 M2 in auto form.
Yeah.
Could you get like a VA RS5?
It's going to be slow, isn't it?
Terrible.
Terrible car.
There's too many criteria here.
That's the problem.
He's thrown us.
Okay.
So let's give him, let's give him something.
I just did.
What did you get a Subaru?
Oh, yes.
Well done.
And I'm going to say, well, either the manual V6 SF type or just go and get a cheap V8 and suck it up, mate.
Yeah.
It's going to be quick.
Right.
Let's last couple.
If you ever, I have an M5 competition with over 800 horsepower.
One sec.
Let me scroll.
There's got some scrolling to be done.
There's a nice photo of it somewhere.
Oh, yeah.
Lovely car.
Oh, he's supposed to stare at it.
Very nice.
Well done.
Not that episode.
Okay.
Here we go.
This will be our last one, I think.
Sam and Paul from Simon.
Oh, good job.
There you.
Welcome to the wrong show.
I bought a brand new Lotus Amira in April on one track day at Bedford, which I didn't enjoy.
And I don't think I'll do any more of these.
I will take you to Germany to visit Christmas markets this month.
It's done five and a half thousand miles.
It's garage and system of vehicle charger.
Thanks for trying to select you, mate.
For my daily, I have a Polestar 4.
Think of my options for next year.
Keep the Lotus for a few years and hope vices don't tank and use the money I get for the Amira and no finance on it
and use it as my deposit for a next car.
And his options are 458 Spider, 488 Spider.
That's mad.
They're the same value, isn't it?
Yeah.
Portofino M.
Oh, we're going to come back to that.
Roma or GT3, which will be my safest bet to keep the majority of my deposit.
Would you say something more left field?
Save money just to get a GT4.
Right.
Now, hold on a second.
I know this is actually great chat.
Go tell me if there was Tony because I'm all up in this business.
These are basically my car.
This is what I live looking at these cars.
So I already know the car you have all that list.
You're the 488.
It does agree.
All right.
That's fine.
Why did you say that?
Because out of that group, unless you're like going to do like loads of truck stuff, which clearly it's not,
these jobs is that for the road, then there's a bit of a poser car and to hold its money.
Well, let me just double check.
Yeah, it's probably the best one there.
I disagree.
I think because the world is strange, the form of 8-Spider is the best person.
Oh, mate.
No, thank you.
No, no, I know what to put your money right now because the world is strange.
That's a good place to put your money.
But you're buying a worse car.
Yes.
Argument like in our opinion, and we've said that a few times and we believe the 488 to be better and also just prefer it.
Forget whether it's better or worse.
I just prefer the 488.
Yeah, but most people are the majority of people.
Prefer the 458 and value-wise inherently, that's the safer place to put the money and it's still a Ferrari and all the ticks,
all the boxes and still fantastic.
Just kind of touched on the others because these are literally cars that I like spend my life obsessing.
Portofino and got one of them.
But yeah, Portofino and really silly place to put your money.
Unbelievable car, really overlooked car.
That is essentially a Roma Spider.
Fire the Roma Spider with a hard, it's a hard top Roma Spider.
It's got all the tech of the Roma, essentially.
But I think in a better looking shape, but they're going to tank.
People don't know what they are.
They're coming down.
Yeah.
Now they're Roma Spider.
So not a good place to put your money.
An actual Roma, unbelievable value for money.
I keep saying it 130K from Ferrari approved used.
What a thing.
I have no idea what that's going to be worth in another three or four years.
But you've got to think they bottomed out at 120, 130 grand.
Who knows?
GT3, yes, you would say that you're going to be safe ish.
And if you can keep it for a long time, maybe you'll benefit me upswing.
But yeah, like Hartman, the GT3 is safe ish.
But I would look at the two, the five, the four, five eight or the four eight eight
is where I would look because you're also getting that mid-engine
performance that you've had in the Amira.
So I think from a money point of view, go for five eight.
I think from a car point of view, go for eight eight.
Yeah, I for me the four five eight is not even a conversation.
I look for itself.
You get so wound up.
Why not?
I just want the better car for the same month.
You want the car that you prefer?
Yeah.
Yes.
The better car.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
In every way.
To a Ferrari, don't normally tend to make a worse car
when they're bringing a new one out.
No, but that's to your preference, isn't it?
Because a lot of people don't like the turbocharged engine.
I don't care.
And that sums up Tony from Redwood Cars.
Anyway, well, I have to behold it.
Go drive them both.
They drive driving very differently depending on what you want,
but that would be my great list though.
And like, and your four four hours to choose from,
but the Roma can't be overlooked.
It can't be.
And I did also have done this to us.
We both found the Porsche.
We're so bad at this all week.
Anyways, well, there you go.
And well, we didn't expect to spew, you know,
an F1 episode of the turn into a nagging aunt episode,
but hopefully we've helped us.
I love these ones because we basically spent our entire show
talking about 100, 150 grand, 200 grand.
Super car.
It was so much fun to do.
And also, by the way, take my advice because on that list,
I've owned every single one apart from the Portofino.
So I have that.
Very interesting.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah.
You owned a standard Portofino though.
End of end of row.
But so you could imagine what Portofino M is like.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Didn't you know?
It's not the oldest thing I had in California.
Oh, yes.
California's tea.
No, California.
Like, oh, gosh.
We said before, no, you.
Oh, cool.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So we rushed really bad.
But sometimes I look at them now, like 80 grand left
for a fry-bashed, you know, Maserati.
But like still, like in the right spec,
trading rum files to them that car.
I know, but could it offer you?
I don't know.
Like, oh, do you not offer me nothing?
They are pretty awful.
Yeah.
I'm California's.
Cali teas are cool.
I don't know.
It is a friend of mine.
I just can't remember which way to that twin because I had
to California and then I either bought that before the 430
or after the 430.
So I just can't work out which is the worst car for that.
Keep submitting these because we will do these regularly
each month is BTG at seem to blast.com and we look forward
to hearing some more of your car buying conundrums.
We hope we've helped the three people out there looking to
buy cars and for the rest of you that are just buying normal
every day cars.
I'm so sorry.
I was really out of really riches.
I'll show you.
It's just about, you know, but what was the German world talk
is that always get this in question.
Why did you do more regular cars?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Clinton knows the truth.
It's great if these people like totally making this up.
That's like it's the dream scenario.
Yeah.
None of them got this money.
Let's pretend I'm not for doing normal cars.
So yeah, well, you'd be far better.
It is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If someone said to me, I've got five grand.
Can I have a fiesta or blah, blah, blah, blah.
I'll be putting it all over it.
I'll be all over.
Oh, there you go.
We're asking for some more cheap.
No, all cars.
Yeah.
Normal car advice.
We will be back with you.
I think we've got a in car episode next week.
If we, yeah, better make sure the microphones are working
probably this time.
But anyway, round to the next week when we'll know more
about the Formula 1 world championship and maybe we'll,
if Lando wins this weekend, I will, I will do next week in
Papaya.
Oh, I thought you said I'll do next week.
Nankin or something.
When?
Please don't whip Lando.
We will be with him soon.
All right.
See you next week.
Bye.
Bye.
