but I'm excited to sit down with you.

It's basically when like you just become friends
with people who live very close to you,
like your neighbors.
And I actually think we've done a really good job of that
when moving into our new house,
because like all of our friends, we're all so close.
We're all like two or three minutes away
from each other's houses,
which I'm sorry, makes it more fun.
It makes it so much easier to hang out
when you're not like a 25 minute drive.
Yeah, yeah.
And we've just really been neighborhood maxing lately.
So like my neighborhood area,
like we all like got on this bus together
and then went to this bar.
We neighborhood maxed.
You're like so crazy.
I know, I like, I'm so sorry.
Like I didn't even know,
I didn't post it about this on my Instagram at all
because I just like didn't feel like it.
First time hearing of all of this.
Yeah, now I'm feeling a little,
now I'm feeling a little self conscious about it.
But you know what?
And let me just tell you something.
My sister-in-law, Trina,
it was her boyfriend, her boyfriend,
it was her husband's birthday.
They're four kids together.
Some guy she's dating, I don't know.
So it was her husband's birthday.
And you know, we were like,
we ordered food at this bar,
we were like eating, we were having fun.
And then probably like an hour before everyone leaves,
she goes, oh wait, I forgot.
She runs to her car
and she brings out two platters of homemade cookies
that she just like had brought for the birthday party.
And now Trina's the same sister-in-law
that also packs a cooler with waters in it
for like a long shopping day.
So that's starting to track.
How, that was so fun.
So fun.
And everyone could just like,
I mean, I didn't partake,
but like everyone could like grab a cookie.
Yeah, I love that.
That's a lie, I did.
I don't know why, I just lie.
Kelly, you're like so,
you just admitted to like having six drinks
and you're like, but not a cookie.
You're like, so, this is gonna be a weird episode.

Let's see, what did I do on Memorial Day weekend?
Shopping for patio furniture, such a hard thing to do.
My patio is done.
The thing is, it's one of those things,
I don't think it can be done online, unfortunately.
Well, I'm going to try and do it online because
like the options, patio furniture is so weird
because it's so expensive, even if you go cheap.
So I'm like, in my mind, going for the cheaper four piece set
and it's still $2,100.
Oh yeah, that is expensive.
Have you done marketplace?
I haven't done marketplace,
but I'm looking for something so specific.
Like I'm looking for, I'm going to collect them as I go.
Like I have mom's hand me down table.
I have another hand me down thing for mom.
I want a couch, two swivel gliders,
because when this baby's here,
I'm going to be parked in the swivel glider outside,
under and awning with a fan on me.
And I want one of those little fire pit things.
Look, I'm looking for something so specific
that I think I'm just going to have to pull the trigger on it.
And I know what I'm saying, that's not expensive
when you look at outdoor furniture.
Like this is just like the Sam stuff.
And even like the Walmart Better Home stuff
that everyone recommends is still thousands of dollars,
but it's not $10,000.
Yeah, that's so interesting.
It's just outdoor furniture is just so expensive.
So I've been like really struggling
with pulling the trigger on that,
but I need to because the Memorial Day sales
are happening now.
Well, yeah, and you got to make sure the scale's right.
Like you need to take the measurements.

So do you have one that you're just like?
Yeah, it's just sitting in my Sam's car.

We have our sunroom furniture is from Ashley Furniture,

But don't you find that like some outdoor furniture
feels inappropriate to be outside?
Like I can't imagine my furniture being outside.
So that's the other thing is like,
I'm not covered patio furniture.
I'm not sunroom furniture.
This is like truly outside outdoor furniture.
I mean, I'll put covers on it and bring the cushions inside
and stuff, but like, you know,
I'm going to forget to do that occasionally.
Yeah, no, like for a couple months of the year,
like in a couple months of the year,
it's going to be there every single day.
Right.
So I don't know.
I'm probably whatever, whatever.
I'm going to figure it out.
It'll be great.
I mean, I'm so excited.
I'm loving my patio.
I'm loving and having an outdoor space.
I'm loving being outside these days.
So important to be outside.
And I think we're saying that now
because like the heat hasn't hit yet,
but like it is going to be.
I've heard a scorcher of a summer,
but they always say that the pollen's always bad.
The summer's always hot.
You know what I mean?
The winter's always cold.
But that's just the way that's just the,
that's what keeps the Midwest Midwesting.
Like what else would we talk about?
If not, oh, the weather.
We don't live in that interesting of a place.
There's not a lot going on aside from the weather.

Speaking of weather and neighborhood maxing,
I'm also really going to try to be summer maxing this summer.

And I'm going to just kind of like get my life.
How do I word this correctly?

I'm going to like not go against what's thrown my way.
Like I'm going to go with the flow in the sense
where it's like I'm going to wear tank tops.
I'm not going to like, I'm going to put my hair.
I'm going to learn how to do a good ponytail this summer.
Hmm.
One thing about me is I always wear my hair down
and then I'm always hot because like I don't like
how my hair looks in a ponytail.
What is wrong with me?
Also at this point, who cares?

Like I always have my hair in a bun.

I'm just trying to like, because like there are people
who really enjoy the summer and I think I could be doing
the little things in my life to enjoy the summer more.
So again, I'm going to figure out a ponytail for real.

I'm going to try to do like breezier, better,
unfortunately less clothing.
It's kind of an idea.
I'm also going to try to really capitalize on like my mornings
in my evenings outside.
Like we don't need to be doing things in the,
and here's what you forget about the summer.
The hottest time of the day is 5 p.m.
So like everyone always wants to like start things at 5
or like, oh, let's go here at 5.
No, don't go anywhere at 5.
5 is so hot.
Wait till like 7 or get out like way earlier.
I don't want to be doing stuff from like 12 to 5.
Yeah, it's hot.
I don't want to be doing stuff before and I don't want to be
doing stuff after.
Are these your summer goals or are these just kind of some
thoughts that you're having going into the summer?
Oh, well, I mean, I, a little bit of both.
I mean, yeah, I would like to be, I would like to live in a
world where I enjoyed summer more.
I've kind of figured out a schedule for the kids.
I'm going to work like businesses, usual Monday, Tuesday,
Wednesday.
So like they're going to be bored at home and they're going
to figure it out and I'm excited for them.
And then Thursday and Friday, I'm going to try to like flex
work a little bit more so we can go do things or at least
they can like be there to assist them with things.
Maybe work from 12 to 5 inside.
Maybe work from 12 to 5.
Not the worst idea.
So I'm excited about that and.
Where, where do you land?
Do you have an opinion, anything?
I just see it all over Instagram is like the 90s summer
childhood, giving your children the 90s summer childhood
aesthetic.
I don't know what that, I'm going to be honest.
I don't know what that means.

I was hoping you would have some more clarity for me because
I'm like, like, what are we doing?
I mean, that's not outside of, you know, increased maybe
screen time and iPads and such that weren't around in the
90s, but also like we were still watching TV in the 90s.
Like this was like, we were like questionably more because
there were studies, there were studies around screen time.
So I don't really know what it means.
I, my kind of thought is like, yeah, like no, I want my kids
to play outside and like do, you know, like crafts.
I don't know what it means.
You know, I'm, I mean, I have a 90s dollhouse.
That's what you're asking.
We're having fun with that.
I, the only rule I remember from our summer because our mom
was a stay-at-home mom and we did camps.
We didn't do a ton of camps though.
Like there's some like, because our mom was a stay-at-home mom.
So we just stayed, we sit in with her.
We were bored.
I remember the only like hard and fast rule for the summer
was that we were allowed to have three popsicles a day.
That's a lot of popsicles.
And like unlimited screen time, three popsicles.
But you know what?
I would do, you wouldn't know the problem with our parents.
And this is, this maybe wasn't how it went down,
but this is how I remember it.
So I'm so sorry, mom and dad.
There was like no rules around screen time, but like sometimes
they would just decide that it was enough and we were in trouble.
Like, okay.
Sure.
Yeah.
Like make a rule, set a boundary, and then you have freedom
when you are a child.
We'd be watching TV and sometimes like they'd come in and
you couldn't are always watching TV.
We're like, okay.
Yeah, it just kind of depends.

What happened before then?
Yeah.
No, like I want to get like, you know, a kiddie pool.
We'll get the water table out.
I don't know.

So you don't have anything to, okay.
I, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something
with the 90s summer.
People are always saying like 90s this 90 people.
I think are glorifying the 90s a bit too much.
Some days there are times to be had here too.

So first as I have an event with capital one, we're going
to a dealership to film this like mini dealer web series
that I'm doing with them.
And it's actually really fun because I go around to, we've
already filmed two of them, but I go around to different dealers
and I meet them and I learned like how they, how their
customer service sets them apart.
So it's very like customer, like what the dealer does to
advocate for their customers.
And I'm very excited for this one.
So I'm doing that one day and then then that the next day
we're going to the IHS Mazda invited us out there to see
a crash test happen of the new Mazda CX 50 and it's going
to be amazing.
And then the next day, my godmother lives in DC.
So I'm going to dinner with her.
So sweet.
Three birds.
And the most fun thing is Sam for mama knows car seats who
works on the car mom team.
She lives there.
So I'm staying at her house with her four kids and her
husband fabulous.
No, I'm actually home.
It will feel like home.
Like I'm actually very excited about that.
Yeah, that'll be fun.
And I've never met her kids too.
And she's met my kids.
So I like don't like that.
I know, but you like met her kids over like FaceTime too.
So I like they kind of know you.
I know and I brought all of her kids a present because I
think that's just like a good thing to do.
That makes a splash.
I thought it would make a splash and maybe they could go
play with it and like we could like visit a little bit more.

I brought her.
I bought her girls these.
She's four kids.
I bought the girls those light bright touches.
So it's like you just touch it and it changes colors.

And then I bought her son who's George's age this like Lego
builders kit that George's got for his birthday.
George loved it.

And I think he's advanced Legos.
So, oh, and then I got the baby just like a sleeper.

pregnant because of how I'm feeling.
I should, I should be 34 weeks pregnant with how I'm feeling.
Like I got 10 weeks to go.
You guys, Elizabeth, I think I've said that, but if you see
the person, her bump is so low.
I've never seen anything like it.
She's been low this whole time.
I know she's never gone up.
I'm just, I'm feeling a lot of pains.
So I, your waddle is so, you didn't waddle like this with
the other ones.
No, Kelly, I'm telling you like it's a really big problem that
I'm only 29 weeks pregnant and I'm already feeling like this.
Like it is going to be a long hot summer, but in my mind, I
have to make it through the, I have to make it through June
because I got the auto show.
I have James's third birthday bash that I'm throwing and then
like July your work schedule is going to be gone down a little
bit and that's when I'm going to take some time to get the
baby ready because I'm due early August.
So like it could be first week of August and I have nothing
prepared for this baby.

Like I've got, I'm looking at piles of clothes for the auto
show closet sale.

a tall girl because it's like like country club attire, which I feel like
naturally is a little bit more modest and long.

and not six foot tall person.
Yeah, I like I can't just like go to Target and buy a dress like never
unless it's a midi dress like never someone made a comment about how
I dress so maternally sometimes.
And I'm like, you've really never gotten over that.
Well, because and all I can wear is midi dresses like try being six
foot long in the legs and like I don't just go.
I don't get to go buy pants from wherever or buy a short dress from
wherever I have to look at the length of the dress.
And if it is any less than 35 and probably a half inches, I can't buy
it like there's no way.
So then I don't realize this about us and like 35 is a little dramatic.
I try to do around like 33 inches.
Kelly, that would be a cover up on me.
You have longer legs than me, I guess.
Kelly, I'm telling you especially like I just found some of your maternity
dresses because I was digging through some clothes and I'm like like this
is way too short.
Dang.
I'm just tall.
And dresses are short dresses are hard because they will make things
in long sizes like pants have gotten a lot easier.
And I think pants have got a lot more inclusive, you could say.
But the problem is they don't make short dresses in tall sizes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And so it is really hard.
So what I just I so I ordered three dresses from Phinear Vines hoping
they fit and I think like one of my goals eventually is I want to take
a lot of my midi dresses and I want to take them to a seamstress
and I want her to Oh, I think that's a great idea.
Make them an appropriate short length because I like I like wearing short
dresses like I think they're cute.
Like I don't always want to wear a long midi dress.
It's just all that I can do.
No, I think that's actually a great idea.
And that's a great idea.
Oh, yeah, I'm looking up in yours.

It's pretty cute.
Yeah, I've I've really been liking their stuff lately and they have a lot
of good sales.
Yeah, they're 30% off right now.

That's so interesting.

The last of my transactions was I bought something so boring, but
I bought an outdoor fan like a fan to go underneath our sunroom there.
And the funny story about this is my husband is such a.
How would you even describe him?
He's like, he can't throw anything away.
And he like loves to repurpose things.
And when we were redoing our house, we got rid of our bedroom fan.
This like it was this old nineties beige like like it was an intricate
fan that had like probably like a fake berries on it.
Like it was so ugly and Tyler was like, Oh, this is a perfectly fine
fan.
I'm going to go install it out by the pool.
And I had to live like that for two years.
It's an it's an it's a truly indoor fan.
It's an indoor fan that he had hung outdoors.
Yeah.
Because he's like, now we have a fan and I'm like, Tyler, that looks ridiculous.
Did look really silly.
It looks so silly.
Yeah.
And you know, I've really learned a lot on on marriage lately.
But you got to be sent.
You got to be gentle with him a little bit because he takes it.
He takes it a little too personally.
Sometimes I think if I'm like, that's so ugly.
He's like, I'm just trying to save us some money.
And I'm like, let's find somewhere else.
Let's do something else here.
But then finally, so I lived with it for two years, kept my mouth shut
because I can't I just I don't want to nag on everything.
And that's not it wasn't that big of a deal to me.
But then I decided it was a big deal and I ordered a fan off Amazon.
Okay.
And it was a 10015 dollars.
Right.
And it was fine.
Right.
And it looks so much better and it looks so much better.
And you're going to be having well, and your pool is like ready for
hosting like it wasn't the last two years.
So exactly.
We were very much under construction.
Now, the craziest thing is we don't have a lick of landscaping out by the
pool, not a lick.
There's nothing to be found.
And I kept waiting for Tyler to be like, Hey, like, you know, let's
go find some trees or some bushes to plant.
And he never said that.
So then I was like, Hey, what about landscaping?
He's like, we're not landscaping.
I'm like, are you sure about that?
He's like, I'm not doing it.
He's like, we're not landscaping not for a long, long time, which means
ask him, which means ask him next year.
So we have no landscaping and again, it's not worth fighting over at the
moment, it might be worth that eventually, but something I plan to do
because the thing is, I think our pool still looks unfinished because
we don't have any landscaping.
And I don't want a ton of landscaping, but like, could we just get some nice
like, what are those trees that just like don't take any maintenance?
Right.
Right.
Like some shrubs.
Can we just get a shrub or two?
Like, yeah, could we literally get, I, we have nothing.
It's rock.
It's Creek Rock that he took from our parents farm to put around the pool.
It looks on, it looks, the fence helps a lot, but it's
not done.
So my plan of attack is I'm going to print off landscaping plans and I'm
going to hang them like at the door going out to the pool.
So my guests are like, Oh, is this your plan?
I'm like, yeah, you know, this is what we're planning on doing.
Just so they know I am still a work in progress out there.
Yeah, for sure.
Yeah.
You haven't given up.
Well, I just don't want anyone to think like I'm satisfied.
But it, but also, you know, I go back and forth because like, I don't want to pull
weeds.
I don't want to do any of that.
So I do need him, I do kind of need him to buy in a little bit.
So I'm just going to buy a fan.
Wow.
Just never know where the segment is going to take us.
Here I am, airing my dirty laundry.

Airing your marriage, the depths of your marriage, the strategies you're holding.
Um, now the best marriage advice I can give you though, before I get off this topic is
the power of a list.
Me and Tyler now have a shared note.
And when I want him to do things, I add it to this list.
And then I'll just be like, Hey, no rush, but I added some things to your list.
And he starts, starts going through it.
He's actually being so cute today.

Cause the truck dad is back up and running.
I guess he only comes out of retirement every two years to talk on Instagram.
I just saw him leave Mazda.
Is that really the car they're bringing?

And I was waiting for them to be like, Oh, just kidding.
Like we're going to bring.
Just be a kindie.
Right.
So I don't even know what a Mazda Miata is, but it sounds fancy.
Doesn't sound car seat friendly.

So Tyler today, we're like not doing a very good job today.
Okay.
Sorry.
Today, Tyler is going around to all of the dealerships who are bringing us cars
and he's dropping off like cookies for them just to kind of like come across.
You know, you know, I'm always telling you to come across people's desks.
So I just wanted to make sure we were coming across their desks in like a very
sweet and savory kind of way.
And so it's a poster board of my face saying thanks for being a partner of the
auto show with a box of cookies.

Delivered by Tyler and he's like, I'm going to give everyone a social media
shout out and I'm like, good strategy.
Love it.
I mean, it's darling.
If it's not too late, I would suggest he tags them on social media.
Well, I'm sure it's too late for that.

Cause he hasn't been doing that, but I love, I love that he's back.
I forgot about when Tyler was posting on Instagram.
Anytime he did anything, he would just search like he was gluing poster
your face on posters.
So I know he just searched audio poster and picked the first song
that says the word poster in it.
And then he like went to crumble cookies and he found a song
called Cookie Grumble, which is kind of funny.
You know, I love it.
I forgot he did that.
And it's so off, like it's so authentic and silly and just like wholesome
that I have a hundred percent here for it.
It is so funny.
Teller has been a really big part of the auto show this year.
And he's just such a doer.
Like there is, he can really do what like seven people can do.
So, okay.

Are we supposed to hot tea going on the auto industry?
Well, I did have a advice question.
Oh, okay.
But we can get to that first.

So this comes from Jen.
She says, Hey Kelly and Liz, I currently own a 2015 Toyota Sienna
that I planned on driving for several more years to make a long story short.
It's most likely totaled.
Most importantly, my family and I are all unharmed.
I absolutely love my Sienna, but don't really want anything other than a minivan.
But for several reasons, I may need to sacrifice my desire for a minivan
in order to replace it quickly with something more affordable.
We'll almost certainly buy used.
Do you have suggestions for something that I won't hate?
I seriously love the minivan life so much that I fear I will hate anything else.
My favorite things about the Sienna are the ease of getting in and out,
ability to fit comfortably, extra adults on occasion, the space and the functionality.
I have one kid in a booster, one forward facing kid and we are done having kids.
I want a third row for occasional use would usually be adults in the back.
Trunk space is important.
I'll be able to have the third row down most of the time.
Just looking just from looking online, I like the Atlas Pathfinder Pilot Palisade.
Tell your ride, but don't have super strong preference right now.
Would love your thoughts on those or any other midsize SUV
that checks the boxes that won't make me miss my minivan too much.
Why can't she get a minivan?
I don't know.
She's like she wants to buy used.
She's probably looking for a Sienna.
She probably needs to kiss her Sienna dreams. Goodbye.
So maybe that's it.
So maybe look at a different.
You should be able to find another used minivan.
That's more even more affordable than those options.
Then those SUVs, I agree.
Look at an odyssey or even a Pacifica is fine.
For those ages, I mean, you don't have like a get a Pacifica.
They're so cheap.

There's some interesting stories.
First, we're going to start with a really sad one.

All time NASCAR great and two time cup champion Kyle Bush
passes at 41.
Yeah.
This is so sad.
So Kyle Bush nicknamed rowdy Bush.
He's like, like I don't know NASCAR and I know who this person
was like he is like one of the best NASCAR athletes of all
time and he suddenly passed away.
Things have come out a little bit that it was basically just
complications from an ammonia that progressed into sepsis.
He was 41 years old.
He has two kids.
It's horrible, horrible.
And like was racing like last week.
So scary.
So scary.
You just think like I'm sorry in the my mind's view.
I just like, I feel like if you get ammonia and sepsis like
you, we have enough technology that like we can fix that.
You know, it's just crazy.
I know it's so sad.
It's so scary.
Anyway, I just wanted to mention that praying for his family.
Yeah, he was the good he him and his wife Samantha.
I actually follow them both on Instagram or I follow Samantha
on Instagram.
I don't know if I was following him like they're good big.
They just seem like good people.
So I know so sad.
Okay.
Our next story is by car dealership guy and it says sedans
gain fresh appeal as OEMs reconsider the affordable car segment.
US sales for that segment reached nearly 1.5 million
units in 2025 with the average vehicle price hovering around
$50,000 more buyers are turning to turning to sedans with younger
and future drivers also eyeing this segment.
There's an opportunity for sedans to offer an alternative to
the state of SUVs and they're typically less expensive than
an SUV in the same size class.
Hmm.
Um,
I feel like sedans are it's about time for them to
make their comeback.
I mean, we're not going to talk about them much just because
what's you know, we have such a niche thing that we're working
on, which is families oftentimes large families.
But I could I think it's their time.
Everything comes and goes.
I think we will talk about like the good ones, like the ones
that really stand out to us.
I mean, it's crazy how few there are at the moment.
Yeah.
We could probably stand to do some sedan content.
We could stand to do some one to two kid families that we
could definitely sedan content out there.
Okay.
They oftentimes have good trunks.
It's 100% they do and great fuel economy.
Yeah.
Okay.
This is an interesting story.
We're always talking about this brand.
Stellantis 70 billion dollar plan.
That's 70 with a B 70 billion plan will transform us showrooms
with aggressive product rollout.
Stellantis is leaving no stern stone unturned in a 70 billion
dollar bet to overhaul its product lineup and reclaim us
market share and improve profitability.
The automaker plans to double down on high powered V8 engines
enter five new segments and counter soaring transaction
prices with nine new name plates that start under 40,000
including two Chrysler models that are less than 30,000.
I know.
It says the so I guess half of that 25 billion is going to Jeep
Ram Chrysler and Dodge.
I guess just in the U.S.
Segments.
Okay.
Sure.
Because it's happening forever work.
You kind of for like 70 billion is a don't get me wrong a
lot like you did is like split up between a lot of.
Yeah.
So it says the 25 billion infusion for Chrysler dodgy
brand will give dealers 11 new vehicles by 2030 including
compact and midsize pickups three crossovers two performance
cars in a full size SUV.
I'm like fix what you've got.
No, I'm excited about this.
I mean like I am.
I am excited because like I like new shiny things, but I do
feel like there's like some things that they could be working
on with what they currently have going on.
It says Chrysler will add three crossovers.
The crossovers don't do a ton for me, but really?
I don't know.
A crossover is like an SUV.
I know, but it's like a small SUV.
Yeah.
We'll see what happens, but they and they say a full size.

dinner recipe to mix it up to get you out of your dinner.
Do you have one?
Well, last night for supper before I left to go, um, you
know, hang out with my friends party.
I would never.
Um, I did meatloafs in a muffin tin.
I'm sorry.
My kids love meatloaf.
And it's so easy.
I do half a pound of no, I do a half one pound of beef, one
pound of pork, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk seasoning, like please
don't have it for a recipe.
Like you just do what you have.
And I swear it always tastes the same.
Yeah.
And I put them all in muffin tins and then I make a little sauce.
I do ketchup, brown sugar and yellow mustard slapped it on
top, baked them.
The kids loved them.
Didn't you, that was one of the goals that you wanted to do
was to make these.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
So I made them and I bet they, um, serve well the second day
as well.
Wouldn't know they animal.
Oh, amazing.
My four kids ate two pounds of meat.
Oh my gosh.
Yeah, I know.
I had one.
But that was insane.
You're my kids are such good eaters.
My kids are such good eaters.
Like I went to the farm this past weekend with the stumpies and
our parents and, um, I was in charge of the Sam's Club run,
which I never am.
And you did such a good job.

But I just, I have, I cannot gate.
My kids are still like, no, like Maddie and I could both get
an entree and like give our kids.
Yeah, some of our food, like the, at the bare minimum, like
they're always splitting the kids meal.
Like my kids do not eat a lot.
Not my kids.
Everyone gets their own kids meal except for Libby.
It's so good.
It feels so good to watch.
Like I love seeing kids.
So does mom.
Mom is always so funny about, she's always, mom's so funny
about it.
Mom goes, mom will be like, I remember when I used to watch
you kids, you know, eat a banana.
I'd be like, how lucky is that banana that they get to nourish
this growing body of my mom.
You also grab this green ketchup.
It was a 90s summer.
She's like, how lucky is this green?
No, mom.
Has she ever told you that before?
No, but she's always talking about my kids eating and she's
like loves to watch them eat.
And like she will sit there with Libby and like just keep
feeding.
She's like, we'll just keep feeding Libby.
She's good.
It feels good.
It feels good to see a kid eat a full meal.
Maybe I just, I don't ever going to see it.
So they will as I know they will.
They will.
