751 versus 750 km on the Tesla Model Y, on that CLTC.

So you're probably talking mid to high 500s in the WLTP.

Three and a half Chinese, is it yen?

Yes.

More than the regular Model Y.

Don't have any word whether we're going to get this in Europe

or we're going to get this in North America.

But I'd say if there's a demand and people are looking for six-seaters.

And I like the fact that it's 2-2-2.

We probably will get this in Europe at some stage.

China straight out and if there's an opportunity there,

they'll spot it, they'll develop it and they will action it.

So fair play to them.

Coming back to a more traditional OEM,

we have Volkswagen and in the news recently with the story

that they are looking at a feature subscription

called the performance upgrade.

So the subscription service is to unlock the full power

of electric in certain ID3 models.

So how it'll work was if you're a customer in certain markets

and you have an ID3 Pro or Pro S,

you can pay a monthly or annual fee to increase the power

from 201 horsepower to 228 horsepower.

So you're getting 27 extra horsepower.

This option can be paid monthly, annually

or with a one-time lifetime subscription.

Now, when features are locked

on other manufacturers like Tesla,

people just take it as because that's potentially

what they've done from the very start

or they are an outlayer, they're not a traditional OEM.

People are not happy about this because Volkswagen,

this is seen as a bit of a money grab.

And that when it's coming out of the factory

and it's been registered with the authorities

in different countries, the registration is saying

that it has the higher horsepower.

So you're not registering as a base model

and then increasing it and having to tell your insurance.

The car has the 228 horsepower.

Your insurance knows that you've got 228 horsepower

in the vehicle as a potential,

but you haven't unlocked it until you pay the subscription.

What do you think?

People are losing their mind over this that Volkswagen

are locking down the full potential of a vehicle

even though you've paid for it.

As we said, we've been talking about this already

with Tesla and Tesla doing this in the past.

It's going to be interesting to see if this does cope

to Ireland, we haven't any confirmation.

I've reached out to the Volkswagen comms team,

but just waiting to hear back on that.

Moving on then to the Irish EV Association

or the Irish Electric Vehicle Association

and Matthew, our chair there,

I sit on that committee for the events

outside of the house, but they have looked

at the upcoming roll out of the Zevi grants

across the sports clubs and across others.

And so you can start to see that

what Matthew is called as article from sports

motorways to sports clubs,

all part of the Ireland's EV charging journey.

So when you're driving an electric vehicle

people say, oh gotta go, electric if I wasn't,

if I could see more chargers out in the boat.

And so what we're going to see

and you can see Matthew has spent time mapping these out.

So all of the sports club grants

and they're going to be usually a 50 kilowatt charger

but still a DC fast charger

and if you're there training

or if you're there watching a match

it's better than nothing.

You can see all the green icons around the island

and then we've already seen the purple-blue ones

that are going to be there on the motorway network

and then we have the orange ones

which are on the national primary road.

So LDV phases.

So there is a document called

the Zevi EV Recharging Infrastructure LDV

National Road Grant Scheme.

It's what the government are going to do.

So remember when they took away the funding

for the home charger

and they're reducing the support

on purchasing a new electric vehicle.

So they put that back into the main government coffers.

They've said, you know what, we're going to keep that towards

helping people go electric

and what we have is this national road grant scheme

and so phase one focused on motorway network

covering 17 locations

and that put in 131 high power

that was 24 megawatts over

and so per site you had to have

eight plugs over 150 kilowatts

and so lots of stuff like that.

Phase two focus on the national single carriageway

covered 53 locations

and that added 175 plugs

with 20 megawatts of power.

at around 100 kilowatts per plug

and then we had the shared island sports club

EV charging scheme

and that's going to give 220 sites

across the island of Ireland.

Most of these will have a single DC unit

probably 50 kilowatts.

So maps are great

and fair play to Matthew for doing that

and mapping that all out.

They've gotten the funding,

they've gotten the grants,

they've worked with the electricity provider

and ESB networks

to make sure that they have the ability

of being able to roll this out as well.

and that's going to be at the IAA

so we're going to have that

coming to the channel soon.

We're going to be there.

And so GSE is a sub brand of Opel

and I take this vision Gran Turismo

takes it to the next level.

We're delighted to welcome Opel

back to Gran Turismo

with such an exciting and innovative take on the Corsa.

So what have we got numbers wise?

We'll come with two 350 kilowatt electric motors,

476 horsepower.

One on each axle

and both to combined output of 588

or 800 horsepower.

So we've talked about recently a lot

of this Lantus Hot Hatches

coming to the market, which are great,

but this is next level stops

like 800 horsepower.

Permanent all wheel drive enhances grip

handling overall vehicle stability

it comes with an 82 kilowatt hour battery

only weighs 1170 kgs

so it's very much about a optimized for speed

zero to 100 in just two seconds

and a top speed of 320 kilometers an hour.

It will also have a boost function

if you didn't think that was enough

and that will give an additional 80 horsepower

for up to four seconds.

This thing is madness.

It's a blend of white, yellow

and black body colors.

If you haven't seen some of the images already

you'll have seen it across Nevo socials

an amazing looking car

and they always do a great job

in Opel of their concept cars.

So this thing has the most daft

diffuser on the back of it

in the lime green.

It also has that

styling and design language

that we would have seen from the visor

front grille

that compass design.

So yeah, looking forward to seeing this in person

and potentially getting somebody on the podcast

to be chat about it.

So the Opel Corsa GSE

Vision Gran Turismo

EZGO is now EZO

and so congratulations to them on that

we've got a link to the RTE story

that covered only a couple of days ago

and so they've built up

a big network in Ireland

and so 110,000 drivers

are now using their platform

and they're hoping to reach an additional

150,000 users in the UK

and Ireland by the end of the year

it's increased the number of DC charging points

by 42% in the first half of 2025

as well as increasing the staff

from 35 to 70.

Looking ahead the business

has secured a pipeline of 150 key locations

for rapid charger installations

including 20 more charging hubs

over the next 12 months

backed by Rubicon Capital Advisers

the company has also made a major leap

into the UK market and recently secured

a £300 million

20 year deal to power

Scotland's net zero transition

and so the country will see the installation

of management of 1,300

chargers across Highlands

Aberdeen City

and Aberdeenshire

in the Murray Councils

making the company's largest infrastructure project to date

so great to see it

and congratulations to IZO

it's going to be hard to change

thinking about easy go to IZO

so best to look with that

and looking forward to seeing

that charging network going from

strength to strength

with improvements and supports etc.
