Like after your wedding.
Yeah, it's like bliss, excitement.
You keep thinking about it like you're sad it's over.
But also you feel like a jellyfish.
Like you can't move because you're so exhausted and so tired
and can't believe you don't have that to think about anymore.
And I'm all but I'm also feeling like this feels like the start
of summer break.
Like I don't know if I felt also so good to have something
in the past over.
Yeah, like behind me in a way also.
Just all good things.
So on today's episode, we're going to give you guys
a little auto show recap and then I really want to get into
like what I plan on doing the rest of the summer.
Like I have a little thing you finally have had space for it.
And I'm thrilled.
I think you guys are going to love my list.
But first, wow, auto show in the books.
It was the best auto show.
We had so much fun.
I loved meeting people.
I love meeting your kids.
I think did you feel.
Did you?
I didn't realize how many little fans we have because I felt
like a Disney princess the way that kids were being like, Liz,
can I take a picture with you?
It's like, you know, I'm I bend down and I get on my knees
and I take a picture of them.
They're so excited.
I'm like, I am Elsa.
Yes, I think and we've always wanted to be like at least a clean
podcast because I there's nothing more annoying than you trying
to listen to a podcast and then they're just like talking
about something inappropriate or saying bad words.
So we've always just prioritized that.
But I'm going to definitely remember that I'm talking to a lot of kids
and like we might have to do like more like fun kid related content
on the podcast, too.
Like I totally agree.
Like we're a podcast for families and have fun.
I did think it was funny, though, when someone would be like,
can I my kid take a photo with you?
I'm like, oh, my gosh, of course.
And then they're like, thanks.
I'm like, do you want one?
Like just that happened to me so seven year old.
No, so maybe we should start doing like if there's like a new like
buzzy show, like, for example, like we should have recapped K-pop
demon hunters on the podcast because I think that our younger fans
would have wanted to hear our thoughts on what we thought about
K-pop demon hunters.
Like it's not always about, you know, and I've never watched K-pop
demon hunters.
So maybe I just need to.
But I'm looking for some eternity show.
This is the funniest thing.
Hold on.
So like post auto show, I was like laying in bed last night and I
didn't want to be on my phone anymore.
I don't have a show that I'm watching and I just wanted to like
watch something mindless.
I didn't do it, but I was so close to turning on a bluey episode
just for myself.
That's great.
Kelly, that's crazy behavior.
And mom one time told us that when she was in the hospital with
one of us, I think it was like Sydney or Craig, you know, it was a
Saturday morning and like she was alone and she's like, I knew a new
Arthur was coming out on PBS.
So she's like, turn it off.
It's literally going to make me cry.
Oh my God.
It was just something about.
So all to say, so my point in saying that was like, you should watch
K-pop on your maternity leave because it really is.
And you should watch all the zombie movies because those are also
excellent movies.
I, the zombie movies, I really want to watch.
But it just feels so inappropriate for me to do with by myself.
Well, and you know what it also is.
It's something for you to look forward to when your kids are old
enough to watch it.
I am so looking forward to when my kids are at the age for the, what is it?
Disney?
Disney zombies movies.
Yeah, it is really fun.
Like I haven't introduced my kids to, but we haven't watched them.
We haven't liked them the high school musicals or anything.
And I am excited for like when we all decide, okay, it's high school
musical summer and we're going to sit down and watch all of these two
movies that I explicitly remember watching and knowing that I in that
moment was a part of something incredible and forever life changing.
Cheetah girls.
No, was high school musical one and Twilight.
And it was in those moments that I was like, yeah, this could be the
start of something now.
Totally.
Like I just knew it was like, and it was an iconic moment.
Yeah.
Um, but anyway, I totally agree.
I think we should have like more kids segments, more family fun stuff
because also I love doing that kind of stuff with my kids.
So I feel like I really love doing that stuff with their kids.
Like I love interacting like with my children.
Crazy thought.
Yes, you're never really.
But yeah, we have, um, auto show was amazing.
Our closet sale and our grab bags and our raffle was incredible.
The grab bags were the talk of the town.
We sold out of them at the, at the VIP night.
Kelly and I had brought so much PR that we had been gifted in the last several
months, we went home that night and brought more and got more.
So we could have some to give away at the auto show.
Yeah.
I like had kept a couple of things like, oh, I've been wanting to try this brand
that I'm like, no, you know what, Kelly, go by your own.
This is for a good cause.
This is 20 bucks going straight.
I don't have a single back stock to my name.
Yeah.
And it feels good.
Um, I loved catch a ride.
I mean, we donated almost 500 rides, which is insane.
Mm hmm.
Yeah.
And, um, it also, so catch a ride is they, they, they had a rebrand.
So like there could be becoming more familiar this year as catch a ride network.
So it was a big deal, I think for them to also just like get their name out a little
bit more and, um, Valerie was telling me, she's like the, the head of it.
She was like, we made a lot of good connections.
Um, and Austin, our manager was talking to this, uh, pediatric oncology nurse and
was telling her about catch a ride.
And she was like, we need this in like, in a big way in St.
Louis, because do you know how many parents can't get their kids to their
cancer treatments because they don't have a ride.
Yeah.
And I'm like, you just, I didn't even think about that.
Like I had Valerie come on the episode and tell me all the reasons why catch a
ride is necessary.
And then you hear a story like that.
You're like, Oh my gosh, we're like, there's even, there's a million reasons why
people need rides and it's so overlooked.
So, and sometimes it's, I also think catch a ride is really important because
the more that I've kind of learned about transportation insecurity and how it
affects families, sometimes, sometimes the gift of a car is like not that
helpful for some families because cars come with, I mean, if you give a family
a car, well, then there's, do, can they get insured?
Do they have like, can, can they afford the maintenance?
Do they need gas?
Do they have a place to park the car?
Is it a, it's just, there's so much more to it that sometimes it's just eat.
Sometimes people miss the fact that if you can just get people rides and some
of them have transportation, but then they're one car families or something.
And the problem with, I think what catch a ride does a good job prioritizing is
they go to cities that don't have good public transportation.
Like St. Louis, we don't have amazing public transportation and we're very
spread out area and like St. Louis is great, but if you live out where I live,
like, so you're almost an hour to the good hospital or the, or the children's
hospital, that's really difficult for families.
So I, I think they, like they made a ton of connections.
I definitely want to keep working with catch a ride in the future.
And I just, we've always had a charitable partner at the auto show, but this was
the first time it was like in a big way and in a correlated way.
And I think all of our other sponsors really appreciated like connecting
with them also.
Yeah, it was great.
So the closet sale, like crushed it, um, crushed.
We had so many clothes there.
We still had quite a few left over actually, which I was, oh, I don't know,
surprised about, but we had, we had a lot of clothes.
So after, because I know people are going to wonder what we do with the leftover
clothes, um, anything that I was on the fence about donating, that was mine.
I did take, I did take back because I was like, okay, I was going to give this
away if someone was going to like donate to catch a ride, but I, I might
wear this again.
Yeah.
Um, and then anything new with a tag, we put in a box and anything that like
didn't have tags, we just donated to St. Vincent DePaul.
Um, but anything that was new with a tag, I took to Plato's closet for the first time.
I've never been to Plato's closet.
If you've never been to Plato's closet, it's once upon a child.
Like you get there, you put your email or your driver's license in, they
take the stuff, you come back.
I gave them three boxes of clothes and I'm like, this is going to be a while.
I can text like 20 minutes later, you're ready.
Your order is ready for pickup.
So me, I was, I was like taxi driver to the girls in our team that came in.
So me and all the girls in our team were like guessing how much money we're
going to get.
Um, I said 150, someone was like 210.
And when I say a hundred, like, I think we're going to get $150.
There were multiple pairs of pants in there with the tags on it.
And the tags at $150.
So I'm like, oh, come on.
So I tell Sam from Emma knows Carsey that she has to come in there with me because
if they do give us clothes back, I'm too pregnant to carry this kind of stuff out.
And also I was scared to go in there.
So, you know, you do the walk of shame up to the counter and they say, so we're
going to take some of your clothes.
I'll be right back.
They pull out one box.
Sam and I are like, okay, we'll take a box back.
She pulls out another box.
We're like, oh my gosh, she pulls out a bag, all set aside for the stuff that
we will be taking back.
She comes back and she's like, okay, well, we're going to take two of your bins.
Um, we're going to give you $124 and, um, mind you, this person, I'm not even
going to say they're Gen Z because they're younger than Gen Z.
Whatever is younger than Gen Z, but it's like still legal to work.
Um, can I make eye contact with me and is wearing an oversized pink Disney
princess shirt and has the audacity to say, we're not accepting some of your
clothes because of the style.
And I'm like, and you were the one that I was looking at that.
All new with tags, like good stuff.
Like, I mean, this was not in basic stuff.
Like it was Spanx jeans.
Like it's a gene.
What do you mean?
I know we should, honestly, you should have just taken it all back and you
should have walked away.
I, I couldn't do that.
Well, I didn't have room in my car.
Like, so I took our $124, which has been donated also to catch a ride.
Um, and I have the rest of the clothes in my, in my car.
I have an unpack that I don't know what to do, but like, I will never go back
to play in his closet.
It was the most humiliating thing in my entire life.
And I just like, I hated every minute of, I hate every minute of it.
Um, we should like look through what we have.
Maybe we could like put together bundles by size and like try to like sell
like mystery bundles of the clothes.
Oh, that could be fun.
So like people do it.
See, and I'd rather do that than give it to the stupid Plato's closet.
And now I'm regretting that.
So you should just be like a size, you know, the, I think we had a lot
of like smalls and extra smalls left question.
I have no idea what we had.
I have no idea what we had left because I can't, I haven't looked, I haven't
looked through what they, what play does cause maybe that's just like that.
That could be fun for you.
Just like, and put together like mystery bundles.

So while Liz was doing that, I had, this is like the funny
story that has ever happened to me in my life.
So after the auto show, we had some porters come help us park the cars back.
And porters are people who like work at the dealership, who clean the cars,
park the cars, like manage the lot.
So I had reached out prior and I had two porters coming to the venue after the show.
Do you know this story?
Yeah, I do.
Okay.
So then we, so the porters are there.
They take, they take two cars back to the BMW store that need to get picked up from there.
I and nurse Shan, or driven by Shan, who's on the team, we went there also to take
a car and then to pick up the porters to bring them back.
So I parked my car, I walk into the BMW store, I see two porters in the showroom
and I said, porters, you're with me.
Like I was like, come on guys, you're with me.
These little, you know, 18 year old boys get in the back of my car.
I start driving back to the venue.
I get a call and it's this guy who's like, hey, this is Ollie.
Were you guys going to come pick us up?
And I'm like, who is this?
He's like, I'm the porter.
And I look at my back seat.
I'm like, who are you two?
Like, we're just the other porters at the store.
And I'm like, did you guys, what?
So we have to take these porters back by the porter.
So we had hired to work the show.
We're like sitting in a parking lot for an hour.
Yeah, poor guys.
Waiting for us.
I felt so bad.
And I looked at these two little, the porters who came with me and I'm like,
do you guys just do what anybody tells you?
Like, did you guys not ask any questions or anything?
I mean, I can partially blame them.
I can also just imagine like you're I'm sure the look on your face
in the way that you were saying in the fast track you were on, you weren't
really a woman to say no to in that moment.
That's what they said there.
I don't know.
You just sound like you knew what you were talking about.
You said to come with you.
So we came with you.
They were all so cute.
It was just so funny for a second.
I felt like I had like literally kidnapped the wrong porters and they were like off
work.
Like I felt horrible.
Like they were getting ready to.
We're working overtime today.
No, they were fine.
But so anyway, we did get all the cars packed, parked back.
Thank goodness.
And just really like a 10 on a 10 day.

done this summer.
So the first is I'm going to I'm able to give a little bit of headspace to some
home decor things and I really need to get a piece of art for my kitchen.
Yeah, I have my husband's verbal permission to do so.

Yes, like I told you to.
Yes, I'm doing all the things I'm doing all the things correctly.
So I'm looking to do a new art for the kitchen.
I also have a bench in my bedroom that I would like to get reupholstered, which
just sounds like literally a week long project to me.
Like the way that I can put on an auto show and.
The way that I can put on an auto show.
Go on the news twice in a week.
And yeah, but like thinking about like buying fabric, finding fabric, buying fabric.
Do I try to reupholster myself?
Do I find someone I have to take them the bench?
Like that feels like the world's biggest project.
I don't know what's wrong with me.
So I really need to get a bench reupholstered.
I want to make cinnamon rolls, just like something to send me your best recipes.
Everybody, I'm going to do what I always do when I want to make something new
and see what the pioneer woman has to offer me.
Cause I just feel like she's just a girl who gets it.
So I'll start with three and I'll go kind of go from there.
Okay.
Next on the bucket list.
I want to make something with peaches.
I mean, this always seems to pop up like, where's the peach salsa that you said
you were going to make three years ago?
Totally.
Where's the peach salsa?
Is there something with like, peaches, burrata, balsamic grilled?
Is there something with a cobbler?
I want to be so sick of peaches by the end of the summer.
You know what, I just want peaches, sweet peaches.
I want like, I want to eat a savory peach or a peach in a sweet, savory kind of way.
Yeah, not just in like a desserty way.
No, like I want to do, I want a peach arugula, balsamic, burrata, something of another.
For sure.
And I want to do that for myself.
And that just feels like such like a, because of my kids aren't going to eat it.
My husband's not going to eat it.
Yeah.
Well, I want to do that for when, after I have the baby and you can come
bring it over and then we can eat it together.
That's such a fun idea.
Yeah.
Totally.
That brings me to my next one.
I need to perfect bringing people meals.
Something just like really high on my list this summer.
I have, I mean, I told you guys a couple of episodes ago.
I, I have the containers.
Yeah, you, you, you took the first step.
I took the first step now.
I have you having a baby.
I have someone from my book club having a baby.
And I also can just like, you know, give it to people to be nice.
So I really want to get on that.
Mm hmm.
So that's hot.
That's harmless too.
Maybe I'll bring him a peach cobbler.
The next thing is, I think I spoke about this a couple of weeks ago too,
but I have been seen deli container cocktails all over my social media.
Have you seen these?
It mocktails.
Yeah.
These people just take a deli container of which, you know, I have,
because I already bought all the stuff to take people, something in a deli
container and they just make these like adult Capri sons, but like they make,
they put peaches in them.
This is my next question.
For my birthday, I want to get an ice maker because our fridge ice just isn't
keeping up.
I am being so for real.
Like, what are large families doing?
Do we do we're either just not, we're either running out of ice halfway through
the day or we're getting an ice maker's question mark?
I don't know.
I'm not there.
We don't tell her it's 25 ice cubes a morning.
Oh yeah.
He counts him, doesn't he?
Yeah.
And then what if I make a smoothie?
What if I have an ice coffee?
What if I make the kids walk like we're out of ice and we don't have fridge?
Like we only have ice in our freezer.
Yeah.
Um, yeah.
So what do you do?
Cause like you don't want the thing on the counter.
No, I don't need one like in the garage.
Like an ice maker.
But what is the best ice?
Well, I think pellet.
Do you?
Well, it depends on what you're using.
It's the same as nugget.
Yeah, I think so.
Okay.
Well, I kind of like those ice cubes where it's like kind of like a circle,
but it's like a little hollow in the middle.
You know, I don't know, but that's a big decision.
It's a huge decision.
So I'm going to, I'm going to ask for an ice maker for my birthday.
Um, that's exciting.
So just if anyone wants to weigh in on their preferred ice shapes.
And I'm thinking I want it for like cocktails and iced coffee.
So what is that, that best?
Let me see.
Just think about it.
See, yeah.
So for my deli, for my deli container cocktails, next on my summer list is I
need to figure I would like to make a corn salad, something with corn.
Okay.
You know, like, what, like, what do you mean the corn salad?
I want to get good at corn.
Okay.
I want to learn how to grill a corn.
I want to learn how to cut it off the cob and add it to something.
I want to maybe, maybe a, maybe, maybe a Mexican street corn dip, maybe just
really good corn on the cob, maybe adding it to a salad.
I don't know.
I just, I want to, corn and peaches are just like kind of my two
things that I'm really looking to cook with this summer.
Okay.
I'm swimming in cherry tomatoes, thanks to my garden, but my cucumbers are not
growing.
So I don't know what that, what that's all about.
Well, sounds like you need to make peach salsa then because you use tomatoes and salsa.
I don't know if you use cherry tomatoes, but I'm sure it's all the same.
So I might.
So I might.
So yeah.
And then my last one is I really need to get, I think I'm finally getting to the
age where like, I need to be wearing makeup more.
Okay.
You know, or I'm just like in my ugly era, it's hard to say.
And Merrick, we shout out to Merrick because she came to the auto show twice.
And just like seeing her two times in person, like she is so beautiful and she
just looks polished.
Like she just has her hair and makeup done.
She has a smutter around her shoulders in June, you know, because not because she
needs it, but because it adds to the, the look.
And it was a little cold in there.
Like she didn't look silly in it.
No, she didn't look silly.
And I also did notice because you, me, mom and mom who don't need to close the
closet sale, we all gave athleisure.
There was not a look of athleisure in the four bags that Merrick gave me.
Cause she was on it.
No.
And I just was leaving like feeling really inspired by her because she, she
doesn't her make, her hair and makeup is not overglammed.
No, she just looks, she's, it's her natural beauty.
Just like really comes through, but she just looks like she put so much effort
into her look.
And I just want to kind of work on that a little bit.
I think it becomes more second nature.

So you just kind of have to, I feel like get over the hump and you are getting,
you are Merrick has, um, before anyone, because like, I could never do that.
Merrick has teenage boys and great school boys.
Like she doesn't have toddler.
She's not bending around.
She's not like running around on the floor playing with a toddler.
You know, yeah.
So I, I do see, you know, you're not in the baby stage anymore.
Like Libby's only getting older.
Like you're kind of on your way out of the plane on the floor.
No, I don't, I'm not saying I even want to do it every day like she does right
now, though, I don't feel like I don't like how separate my two speeds feel.
Okay.
Yeah, I get that.
Like my speeds either feel like, okay, last athlete, your hair is not done,
or you've got a full coverage foundation and curls and an outfit.
Like, where's just the every day?
I think I could just improve my every day.
You know, I get that.
I just want to feel good, you know, I understand.
Yeah, I just want to kind of been challenging myself, um,
like in a little way, because I just wear biker shorts every day right now.
But, um, like when we go to church and I put on a sundress, I try and stay in
the sundress for the rest of the day instead of changing and putting on an
oversized T-shirt and biker shorts, um, just to see if I, if I can, if I can do it.
And you know what, there is something lovely about when you have, um, kid, like
young kids wearing a midi or a long sundress, because then when their nose
starts to run, I just grab the bottom of my dress.
Yeah, you know, it's like whatever.
It's like, you don't, you don't wipe your kids nose sometimes with your shirt.
If you don't have a napkin on you.
No, what do you do?
I wipe it on their shirt.

Yeah.
Or on their shirt, but like, I don't know.
I'm just like, I can clean up messes with the light with my long dress.
It's not like I'm using my Hill House dress.
Like, you know, it's a $40, $40, $50 long dress that I'm going to wash that night.
And it's so far away from me.
It's at the bottom of his, by my feet.
You can, I'm just saying you can clean up messes when you have a long dress on.

Some of those may be such like an offensive take.

No, I, and like, I'm feeling like I'm like kind of a gross person.
Like, I don't do that.
Like I'll wipe my kids nose all the time.
I will put it on my clothes though.

It's like, I got, you know, they got a crumb on their hand or like some
crumbs on their hands or something.
And I like wipe it off with my dress.
I don't know.

I guess I just walked off on my kids.
Maybe that's bad.

It's hard to say.
I would rather, but like, you're not going to, no one's going to notice it at the,
at the tail end of my dress.

Well, now I'll be looking for the right.

So yeah, I like, like a mini challenge like that.

So similarly, like I've been trying to, like I put on, try to put on earrings,
like first thing in the morning, like if it was just like my little, like
everyday earrings, like I'm just, I like to just try to do that extra.
And I also now wear these two bracelets every day.
And I do feel like it just kind of gives a little bit more polished to my, to my look.

I think jewelry can like add, can add a lot to a,
I think they say that accessorizing is kind of the key.

I think everyone liked meeting the team.
If you haven't seen my Instagram, I like I introduced the team because it was
the first time my whole team was in person ever.
It was so amazing.
Oh, we did a Hibachi party.
We did a Hibachi and Spraytan party at my parents' house, which was so fun.
And here's the thing, the Hibachi is a lot of fun.
But the way that all the girls are in team were like, this Spraytan was
such a gift because we all just felt we had a little bit more pep in our step
the next day when we were all like a little bit more bronzed.
Like, and you know what else that does?

Matinee was real, which I don't know how.

Yeah, no, she's very like, please, I need more help than an assistant.
Do you know how much emotional support I need to get through my days?
Oh my gosh, like seeing you and Matinee in person work together.
I was dying because I actually used to be that person for you.
But now Matinee kind of is, she's like ordering our door dash and you're
so stressed out.
And she's like, okay, Kelly, we're going to get, get Chipotle.
You're like, I don't know, Matinee, I don't know what I need.
I can only eat these things.
She's like, okay, we're going to do a salad.
We're going to, we're going to do steak.
Okay.
And we're going, you're like, okay.
She's like, literally your mom, and here's the other thing.
Here's the other thing I want to say about, about mom.
I love her.
I love being surrounded by moms.
I know.
And I love being surrounded by moms with their children, but there's
something about being surrounded by moms without their children.
Because then me, the pregnant one, I became everyone's child.
Everyone's like, have you sat down with Liz?
Do you need a water?
Liz, are you okay?
Liz, like literally all of these moms were like dying to take care of someone.
And I happened to be the recipient of that.
And it was so nice.
And like at the Habbahji party, we brought our kids.
And so Maddie wasn't there.
So I was like juggling both of my kids.
And we were also by a pool.
And I could just tell like the girls on our team were like, let me take Sloan
so you can go help James or something.
Oh, Sloan's got a running nose, wipes her nose with a tissue, not a drug.
Um, but I'm just like, how can you, how can you like, look at me
and see all the stress that's going on in my mind?
Because I have two kids at a Habbahji party next to a pool.
And they just like clocked that I was, you know, in needing, needing assistance.
You know, it's just, it's just amazing.
I just love moms.
I love women supporting women.
I love moms.
I love women.
I love having a team of moms.
I love our team and I love all of you guys.
Like it's the best.
We're just so much better than everyone.
Cause like we do everything we do whilst raising children.
I know.
People just like, it's unbelievable.
And I agree.
Like everyone's so nurturing and nurturing.
Yeah.
It was so fun.
It was the best, the best weekend.
I'll be riding the high for five ever and stay tuned for future auto show plans.
But yeah, next step is we do have to launch our websites.
I'd still before those with as a baby, but let's just like kick that can down
the road another week because I'm not ready to get off this train yet.

Oh, let's talk about bells of the ball car wise.
Yeah, I have to, I have to that because I loved asking that has did anything
surprise you.
That's kind of my go to question because everyone comes in like wanting to
know what they want to look at, but what surprised you?
Do you want to guess what the two cars people said were the the Enclave?
I'm going to say Enclave was bell, bell, bell.
Well, and I would have known that, but it really takes having to see it in person
to be like, oh, wow, no, she's like stunning.
And it wasn't even, I'm sorry, not to be rude.
It wasn't even that good of an Enclave.
I totally agree.
Like I didn't like the color combo.
Well, like I don't even think think they did send an
Avenir, it wasn't a year, but it wasn't my favorite color combo.
It wasn't the best looking Avenir I've seen.
No, still the bell.
It was so bad.
And what was the other one?
I don't think you're going to guess it.
It was kind of like such like a left field answer.
What? The Chrysler Pacifica.
Oh, OK. Yeah, I didn't get that.
She got a lot of love.
Now they just send the new one, which was exciting.
And it was like a really nice green.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, the green.
Yeah, the green was really nice.
She was kind of Bell City.
And I think people really enjoyed seeing the stow and go versus the magic
slide of the Odyssey versus the Pacifica, like right next to each other.
But I did love the carnival we had because we had the VIP seats with the carnival.
I was going to say I was bummed because I got some questions about the carnival.
And I'm like, I'm sorry, don't even don't even consider this version of the carnival.
Like, I know, well, that's where it's like we kind of have
we're just so at the mercy of like whatever the manufacturer, the dealer send,
which and we're so grateful to even have the car there.
Yeah, but it wasn't my favorite carnival to have there.
Oh, and also just so happened to work out, which I feel I'm so
like nervous to see the pictures.
But what I think makes that our auto show really unique is
we group them by what we think are their competitors
or what we see a lot of people cross shop with.
So like, if you go to any other auto show, like, of course,
like they're all the Honda's are together, like, which makes sense.
Like, of course.
And I don't know if we'll always do this with our auto show,
but I think we'll always try to.
But it was fun because I was like, OK, I want the X7, the TX,
the Volvo and the radiator all right next to each other.
Because like those are cars that get cross shop and they were all white.
Yeah.
But I actually think even though, like, I wish I would have had
some more diversity, like for the pictures.
I think it was really helpful for people
because you weren't distracted by a color.
The X7 wasn't white.
But the X7 wasn't white. You're right.
Um, yeah, I I agree.
And, um,
it really also just depends on the trim that they send
because they send the Yukon that they sent was like so gorgeous.
Yeah, that one. Yeah.
What were people saying about the 30th edition of the expedition?
People love that color.
Yeah. And it did look really good.
It's like such a good color.
But I am happy.
Oh, have I sold it? People?
People of color? I. Yeah.
Yeah. I haven't sold the podcast. Have I?
I'm sure you have. But I'm.
Well, I got the white.
I got the white stealth edition.
You, I feel like are really trying to convince yourself
that you made the right decision because you keep bringing up
how you're really happy with your decision,
despite seeing how beautiful that blue color was on the 30th edition.
But it'll be great, Kel.
It was just so hard, though,
because I don't know why they brought that color and then slapped 30th all over it.
Yeah.
And again, I'm the world's who likes the expedition more than me.
I know, no one.
And it's too much for me.
Yeah, I know.
I don't know.
Yeah, I got white.
But here's also why I love the auto show,
because I would ask people are you actively car shopping?
They're like, yeah, within the next few years.
And I'm like, that's why you need to look at these cars now,
because these are going to be the cars that these these model years
are going to be the ones in the used car market.
So you might be in the used car markets, like look at the expedition now.
Yeah, something you want, but you don't want to buy a brand new one.
This is what it's going to look like in three years.
Totally.
So I got we got a little bit of like data back.
And we had 29 states represented at the auto show.
Did you see that?
That's over half the states.
Wait, I didn't see any of this data.
Yeah, we got data.
I don't think there was any other thing that's like tangible to share the data.
I thought that was cool.
29 states isn't is insane.
I know, right?
So anyway.
So anyway, that was kind of the that was the auto show.
Don't have a drive through because I actually don't know what I'm making for
dinner this week, kind of a big pain point of my day today.
Yeah, I think I gave everyone some I think I gave everyone some inspiration.
Like, I mean, we're doing we're doing summer ingredients.
It's corn, peas, watermelons.
Ooh, I should I want to do a watermelon feta situation too.
Yeah, I agree.
I'm going to make us just like the girliest, swirliest patio dinner.
And I want to send Maddie and your older kids out.
Yeah, get out of here.
And I just want to come over on your patio and I want to clean your house
and make you an amazing meal.
I'm so excited to serve you.
I'm so excited to serve you without having a baby myself.
No, and you are the type who actually like won't be.
I feel like you're going to hold my baby, of course,
but you're not coming over to see the baby.
You're coming over to see me and to serve a percent.
Like you you won't be able to like sit down.
No, honestly, I could take the baby to.
Yeah, no, I know you're just you're and you are just like
a mom and you're like our mom in the sense to that, like,
unless you have done something for me in a big way,
like you will not have felt like you have accomplished anything by coming over.
I'm like, mom, thank you so much for coming over.
You were so helpful because you like put my dishes away.
She's like, oh, I didn't do anything.
I feel like I was saying that.
And I'm like, mom, you know, you bought.
I didn't have to load the dishwasher tonight.
And like that's that goes along.
That goes a long way mentally, physically and emotionally.
That's so funny. Yeah, I'm going to come over and.
Oh, another bell of the ball was my mother-in-law at the auto show.
She was so funny.
I had some people come up to me.
The number one bell of the ball.
Forget about the cars was Barb Stumpy.
She was so funny.
And I'm I should ask her before I come.
Well, I need to get her on the podcast when you're in maternity leave.
Because she always finds the most random things to do at my house.
I've talked about this before.
And I'm going to try to do that for you, too.
Like I'm going to.
I'm at clean your microwave.
I don't know.
Like I'm just mean so random for sure.
Among everything else.
OK, yeah, I'm literally going to give you like a 12 hour day.
I'm so excited.
I love to serve.
I really do.
I get that.
I do love I love helping people, too.
Yeah, feels good.
It does. And there's something about cleaning someone else's kitchen
that doesn't feel like a chore, but cleaning your own is the worst.
Cleaning your own stinks.
What is that about?
Cleaning someone else's kind of fun.
Totally. Kitchens, I don't like cleaning mine or mom's
because mom still feels enough like it was once mine.
Oh my gosh, isn't that so funny?
I totally agree.
I hate I hate clean mom's kitchen.
Actually, more than cleaning mine.
I hate it more than cleaning mine, too.
But I don't feel that way about going to a stranger's house
to clean their kitchen. I know I have like.
We just cleaned that kitchen so much.
Yeah, we cleaned that kitchen a lot growing up.
Hate it.
