Yeah. I went down for a couple of days

and and then my voice was gone for a couple of days as well.

So I was just out of it and but now I'm better.

Now I've had a couple days off work and just R&R at home and yeah, good car updates. Yeah, man, car updates.

Let's crack on to straight to car updates.

I haven't really done anything on cars because I've been sick for a little bit, but just before I got sick I did have a lovely couple of gentlemen come by my house on a Saturday evening. Oh, on a Saturday evening.

On a Saturday evening and yeah, and these two gentlemen very kindly dropped me off ATR Magna. And.

Executive So I now I'm the proud owner of a a very low kilometre silver champagne, silver champagne.

You put these cars brand new, what colour would that be called? This is a test.

You'll get a bonus point if you can get this right and the and the the quiz hasn't even happened yet.

I've got a feeling it was Stardust Silver.

Possibly, but. I can tell you because I've got

the brochure over it. Well, I don't have any books for

it, unfortunately, but yeah, I would think let's have a look.

It's. Got the blue trim hasn't it?

That one. Yes, blue interior, blue dash.

Yeah, blue. And, well, they like, yeah, grey

seats. A lot of Smurfs.

No, I think the seats are blue too.

I think they're probably just dusty.

about the cast of Blue Interior. Like like what David said.

Yeah, it's a blue interior, Yeah, like full blue dash, blue door cards, everything. Yeah, like a bluey grey

interior, like seats. And there's a lot of blue.

I quite, I quite like it because it's just like it's overwhelmingly blue. So a lot of.

Smurfs. A lot of Smurfs died for that

car I hate. Like it must have just been

falling into a grinder and then just getting their blue out and then they're like, yeah, just paint the whole interior Smurf blue, Smurf blue. It's really cool.

I really like the interior of it.

And yeah, look, it's not the best presenting on the outside.

It's just had a a bit of a rough life from the previous previous owner and rail. Parking will do that.

What's that? Braille parking will do that.

Oh yeah, it's very Braille. It's more it's like the most

pronounced Braille you could imagine.

Like it's just every panel has some sort of a mark or a scarf or every bumper has a little, you know, nice, caved in little bit here and there. But what's amazing about it is

how low the kilometres are, which it's currently sitting at 53,000 kilometres from new. As far as far as I can tell it

does has not had a a cluster swap or anything like that.

53,000 K is from Yeah yeah interior is mint you.

Say like interior is quite nice for its age.

Yeah, well, only because that hasn't had that many bums sitting in it, obviously, but it's more that how much you drive the car will obviously affect the interior.

Then the interior definitely feels like it's got 53,000 K on it. OK.

And yeah, like it's rough in parts.

It's got a couple of broken little bits here and there, but it's just, you know, plastic, you know, over 30 years or so.

So that's pretty expected. But yeah, look, it's, you know,

it's not bad. It's it'll definitely get there.

Just needs a little bit of love on the outside, a little bit of love on the paint and a couple of panels to be straightened out and I, I think it's going to present pretty well actually afterwards, yeah. So yeah, we'll definitely get

there. So.

What's the story behind the car so like?

So you got it from our friends Ed and Thomas.

Yes. So Ed put me on to Thomas.

Thomas bought this car. It's not my dog, by the way, it

says. Thomas.

Yeah, sorry, Different Thomas. No other Thomas.

Thomas the Magna not. Quite as furry, Yeah, sure.

Yeah. So he bought this car from a

gentleman who had got it from his neighbour, I believe, who was who deceased. And the car came through a

deceased site. And so he ended up purchasing it

because it was his neighbours and he knew the car and whatnot.

Yeah. And so the first owner of the

car was, yeah, the the elderly gentleman who ended up passing away. And that was kind of meant to be

his last car ever, which obviously it was for him as well. So, you know, apparently I think

he drove it for 20 odd 1000 kilometres before the change of ownership. And you saw this guy who took

the car from the Caesar site, he drove it 30,000 or so kilometres and he destroyed every panel. He really, yeah.

He really did a number on it. He really, it feels like the car

has done 253,000 kilometres. Like it's, it's just, it's got

that age look to it on the outside.

It's kind of has had no love whatsoever from, you know, paint wise or being careful of, you know, hitting things.

He's, he's literally ran into everything he's ever seen.

I believe everything he's ever come through is, you know, in front of him and his eyes tapped it.

And yeah, so and then Thomas bought the car off this gentleman. And so he was going to have that

car ready for Magna Fest towards the end of the year.

And then Thomas then found a better student candidate for himself, I think more of a model that he wanted, maybe a tee I think he went for. Yeah, Verada, he picked.

Up Verada. Oh yeah, OK, the KK.

AJEAKJKU EE or KF might be. Yeah, so he, you know, passed it

along and he gave me a couple of extra bits and pieces to go with her. A new battery tile light that

had been smashed and a new one to replace with it.

And yeah, so yeah, he also very kindly dropped it off to my house, which is very nice. He went.

The car was stored in Bendigo or Ballarat, I can't remember.

I think it was Bendigo. And then yeah, next.

Delivery is always a handy thing.

And delivery included, the price I paid for it is pretty incredible. I'm very, I'm very happy with

the value. And yeah, no, it's, it's now.

It's just sitting at the moment, but I will be getting to start working on it very shortly. Your question, yeah, Is it a

factory air car? Yes, it has factory air.

So it doesn't have a. Hole.

No, it doesn't have the hole in the dash.

It has the full button, including the knob or the yeah, they had sorry. Yeah, it's a knob.

And yeah, it has the the full air con to go with it, which is nice. Does it work?

I haven't actually tested it. I haven't tested it.

I hope it does. Every magnet that's that we

purchased for this for this trip, the question will be asked, does it have air and it and it and it will be based upon David's Prince that David Prince's Wait, wait.

Factory air, manual windows unpainted.

Yeah, it's a very, it's a very base spec, but base spec with air con, which, yeah, is respectful.

Yes. So the GLX, there was a cheaper

one. The the the.

GLX. Still under it, Yeah.

That's the no air, no power. No, well, the the air was still

optional on the executives, but I think it was standing on the S ES, but the I don't think power steering and it oh, there's a couple of there's also electric mirrors.

like there's there's literally 4 things I think that are different on it, but it was just thinking about how.

How little they offered in terms of.

Comfort. Yeah, Well.

Until you stepped up to a variety, obviously that it was a whole different world, but yeah. It's like that meme of like

you've got your, you know, your, your exec and you're looking down on all the GLX guys and you turn around and there's like a there's like an elite in an SEA and you're like, you're getting really scared. Yeah, yeah.

Interesting in the in the when they put the V6 they got a few more bits and pieces because ours is AV six.

Oh yeah, manual, but it picked up a height adjustable driver's seat and lumbar support. Oh.

That's cool. Yeah.

And is, is that because of the V6?

Was that? Was that because it's all well?

It was only I I think when they bought the V6 out it because the normally you had to go to the Verada.

So the the the V6 came out only in the executive.

You couldn't get a A when it first came out.

You couldn't get AV6 in the SE to the TS I'm pretty sure.

I think they're VRV 6 SES. This is Uber geek for everyone.

So it, yeah, they, the, the, the V6 exec was only available or the V6 engine in the TR was only part of an update.

And so they, it actually got the, the elite fabric.

So the Brentwood fabric they called it.

So the early TRS had this, had this really nice sort of cut, cut pile, velour sort of interior.

So the V6 execs got that, they got the lumbar support and the height adjusted seat. Andrew Rulesworth be screaming

because he'll go and this and this and this and this.

Yeah, yeah. Actually I actually have the

brochure right here of the V6 execs.

What year is your car chat? I believe it's a 92. 92 OK.

Yeah, yeah, it seems to look. Unfortunately there's no books,

but looking at it immediately it needs a valve cover gasket, which is probably not the last. 30 years of that's pretty easy.

You know, on and off driving here and there.

So I think everything else I mean the engine Bay looks apart from the oil around the the rocket cover.

It looks very clean like it it's, it's definitely, you know, representative of 30 sorry, 53,000 kilometres of you know, trouble so. Does it have a service sticker

on the windscreen at all? Does, but it doesn't say the Oh

actually no. I think it might say 60,000

doesn't have a date though unfortunately that's.

OK, is it that the the name of the?

Workshop No, it's an oil, but I, yeah, I I'm believe it.

Yeah, it's six. It says 60,000 and no doubt

unfortunately and yeah, it it's yeah, just the oil brand.

But Tom very kindly did do do do an oil and felt strange before he brought it down. To Melbourne.

So yeah, I, yeah, unfortunately there's not much I can do, I think, to find the history of the car.

Yeah, because it's been pretty big on.

It, Yeah. I mean, look, I knew it came

from Heidelberg Mitsubishi. Yeah.

Well, yeah. They did up until not long.

OK, maybe I might be able to try and get in contact with who bought the dealership and if they've got the, if they've got the service records for, I don't know how long it might go back.

But yeah, it's it does. It's got the Heidelberg

Mitsubishi no play cover and it's got the sticker on the back window that looks like it's being taken off at one point and then put back on because it's a bit crinkly.

Unless it's just shrivelled up over time.

try and find find the life of it and.

See. What's happened to it, you know,

over it's life. But so far so good and so far

I'm quite happy with how the car is and you know, for the price of you really can't complain with how it is so.

I know I can help you with organising a velvet cover gasket. Yep, Yep, I is sitting next to

me I think right now. Possibly.

And, and, and that that that afternoon we'll give it a clean up. Yeah.

And that sounds like it could help fix the broken plastic beef. Yep, that that that's a yes.

Special yes. And I learned how to do rocket

cover gaskets from a good friend, Rob, who helped me, who's just joined us. He helped me with the Ltd that

time. Rob that was that was that was a

good time. He hated that car.

Sounds like most of us did. Rob, Rob, we can't quite hear, I

think your your mic's off. But yeah, so so that's Magna.

What else is happening with? Yeah, no, everything else has

kind of been every. All the cars have been working,

so I've been driving all of them here and there.

Nice to just come in here and there again, taking her to work and yeah, nice. No overheating.

Perfect. No overheating.

No, it's amazing. Yeah.

So Ratner did a bang up job and yeah, yeah, I had a service on the I-30 a couple weeks ago and yeah, just regular.

I've got ties due in about 5000, K's to get a set and everything else seems to be really good. So there's no other recalls

needed to be done and all the all the bits and yeah, it's all in check. So yeah, I've been, yeah, very

lucky in the car department recently.

So I think it's. Good to hear Scotty Doe.

Nothing too exciting car wise, just trying to think what I've done. Oh, I did find for the R31 that

there's a company that does quite a bit of 3D printing.

Yeah, cool. And I can get the little volume

circle knobs for the back, the 3D print ones.

So they make those so they fit on there nicely.

So I'll probably look at buying those ones.

And then where I've got the gear shifter and everything in the middle, they do a whole new piece there.

So not only is it the centrepiece where the gear stick is for a manual, but you get brand new metal clips because the original we used plastic clips.

So most of them are broken on majority of people's mine mine I think has like 2 two that are broken but still sits there kind of nicely but it looks fairly worn and brand new shifter like leather boot to go with it as well.

That actually sits up there because mine kind of sags and has fallen. But I don't know if I can really

comprehend 270 dollars. Oh, OK.

She's pretty steep. Just the.

Maybe, maybe if it was like these little final touches that I wanted to do, like if it was the end final touch or something, then I could maybe comprehend 270.

So Scott, is this the printed piece for the for the gear shifter? Yeah, the the outer plastic

piece that sits in do. You do you know where the file

is? Because if you if you have a

file, I know a guy. Yeah, I don't.

Think he? Probably, yeah.

I wish I did, but I'd say they'd hold it close to their heart at the moment. For that much with everyone they

get. Have a look on Yagi and stuff

like that. Yagi and Thingiverse that it

might have been done and someone might have put them up there.

So just so just just have a sauce.

these ones were as popular so. I just noticed that that this

thing's got, well, it probably doesn't work, but adjustable suspension like like hard and soft setting and this is back in the early 80s. That's crazy.

So it looks really nice. It does, yeah.

It's still got plenty of days, but I'll just, I'll just slowly watch and kind of gauge what they what they're worth, what they go for. Yeah, good idea.

It's available in Victoria, so yeah, you're judging.

By the judging by the club plates that it's showing, it's been on club plates for about 7 or 8 years, I'd say.

something that's been in the country 5 minutes.

2 door. That was even more rarer in

I mean, I couldn't even say that I've really seen one at any car shows that I can think. Of here the not not this one,

obviously, but they did sell yeah, in a sedan and a hatch.

Car updates with me. Did a great pub run on the

weekend and through started at Pakenham and ended up at Phillip Island through some of those back roads through the Strasleckis and stuff, which was really, really great.

Had 18 cars. We had everything from a from an

NSX to a 1981 Accord sedan. So it was like a quite a variety

of cars, which was great. Yeah.

What else have they done? Yesterday I went around to a

neighbour's place who they've lived, lived in the court.

We've been here 30 something years.

They've lived here probably 25 plus and she has a car they're looking at at consolidating. They've, they've, they've got

another house through an inheritance and they're, they're tossing up what to do with the, the places that they've got in our court. And she has a car in the garage.

Long and involved story. I won't get into it here.

Lovely girl. She has a car in the garage that

she hasn't driven for 20 years, but it is still currently registered and insured. Oh my God.

That she's paid the red zone, the insurance on it all that time just to be, you know, in case in case she drove it again.

Won't be going far at the moment because it's got 4 flat tyres, but it's an 88 Honda Accord SI sedan, sunroof, the two litre injected engine, white with the the the famous 80s interior, jet blue everywhere. It's got the club lock on it so

it's not going anywhere. She appears to have misplaced

the keys so I'm going around again tomorrow afternoon to try and get into it. I can see it's the 97,000 KS Oh.

My. God it's got 4 tyres that are

completely flattered. Pancakes.

So yeah, difficult to know what like the cost that car going, you know, is probably 3 or 4 grand maybe, you know, and I reckon you could spend a lot more than that getting it back on the road, which is so I don't know, don't know which way it'll go. We'll, but I'll, I'll help them

clear the, the paths to get that's right down the back of the garage. So there's a whole whole shed of

stuff in front of it as well. So but being covered in blankets

all this time, you take move the blanket and the paint's like glass. It's like brand new.

So potentially it's going to be a really lovely example.

Yeah. But yeah, we'll have to see what

happens with with it. But so that was interesting.

And I bought a mini yesterday. Oh.

get put under your nose and you just can't, can't, can't resist them, so. We're we're talking like an

So I was walking, I was in the Glenferrie Rd in Malvern and there was a there's a salvos there and I walked in and sitting there is a 1/6 scale mini that's huge.

The thing is 60 centimetres long.

And it was 10 bucks, so I said you.

Just would. It's coming home with me that

bright red. It's got the Union Jack on top.

I'll send a photo around. It's it's a really, it's

obviously been a remote control one at some stage and and it's got suspension and and everything, but it looks like a mini. It doesn't look like a, you

know, a a sort of cheap cheap. On.

Control thing. So I've never seen them before.

Never never seen one for sale or anything.

Yeah, it was 10 bucks. So I thought, right, well, I'll

have that. I've I've got a shed that that

that might live in at my place. That.

bit and the whole back end twist has got rear wheel steering like the Honda has, but you can't control it.

So not what have I been doing, just changing tyres on cars, the swap and rotating tyres for the son in law's car.

My son's car has got to keeps on getting a flat so I'm the tie man this week is. That the C63.

OK. Yeah, for some reason the tyre

just kept on going. On you it.

Shouldn't need new tyres. Oh, it's.

Two years old now and it. Needs 2 tyres.

Well, no, it just kept on going flat on one tyre, but we couldn't find anything wrong with it.

Like I can't couldn't see a nail in it or anything like that but just a slow leak. Yeah, yeah, shit.

So don't know. So did that I could write a nice

letter to Ford Australia today. I thought I'd sort of give them

back. What?

What did you say? Oh, it's very, very polite that

my car has only been in there four times for various warranty claims and it's still not fixed. Yeah, so we'll see if I get any

outcome or result. Yeah, it's a diff, still making

a noise. But I'm not happy with the

gearbox because after they gave me the loan car, when you drive that and put into reverse, for starters, the gear shifts, clicks into reverse, unlike mine, it pops out of reverse all right. And then my cousin do when he

built it. Like like, yeah, he must have

been. Yeah, I'll be there next month,

so I'll ask. Him, if you could ask him

please, because I don't know what they did.

My car must have been built on a Friday night shift or something like that. They might have been on drinks

or something or yeah, don't know.

But and and there's a slip, there's slippage in the gearbox so it takes a while for it to take up before it will start to move. Jeez.

When it's cold, once it warms up, it's OK.

And, and it just, this seems to be a lot more, a lot of backlash compared to the one they get the loan card that they gave me in the whole driveline. And, and I think if they did

change the DF, I don't think they did because it's still just as noisy as it was. They should have marked it

anyway. That's another story, but there

tends to be a vibration, so whether they've taken the tail shaft off and didn't put it back on properly or whatever, it just, it just doesn't seem right.

I don't know if I'm just imagining things or or what.

Seeing that There's been so many things that went wrong with it.

We're just at a point where I'm just not happy with it and I just want to get rid of it. Yeah.

So that's where I'm at, I mean. How many days?

Have you got an A triple C case? That's something.

Yeah, yeah, I was going to say, how many days off the road has it been? About 2 1/2, almost three

months. Well, in in your home ownership,

Yeah, yeah. In a in a year in it's coming on

two years in next month. There is lemon laws, right?

So there's something to do. There's something to be done.

Yeah. I think unless it's a

catastrophic or whatever you want to call it sort of failure, they won't replace it. The gearbox has to be that to

that point where it's going to fail before they'll replace it.

That's rubbish, Rob. That is, that is, yeah.

And but why is it taking so long?

It's ridiculous. Well, every time I take it, you

know, it's just me. Like I, I had it for two weeks

now. I've driven it up and down,

seeing if a bit in get quieter. Nothing's changed.

So now I'm going to have to ring him up again, go back again and, and it's just like you get to a point where you go, is it me or is it them, you know, like and and you just get tired of it.

And I'm thinking, you know, maybe you know, if I could flog it off, I'll flog it off if not. Have you tried a different

dealership taking it to them? I'm not sure you're going to

start the whole process again. They've they've got the history

now at Bayford's, you know, do I want to be taking it to the other flogs down the road in mountain there?

Not necessarily. Essendon's not much better.

So, you know, you're sort of struggling to find a dealer that's responsible and and do the right thing by her.

So when you first got the car it it wasn't that noisy was it?

The diff was quiet. No, it wasn't that it, it was

well, it wasn't as noticeable and until the one day my mate goes, jeez, you got a real bad diff noise in this car.

I go, yeah, I thought that was just normal.

It's Nah. And over a period of time it

progressed to a point where it was worse and then I took the barrier away between the front and back.

Then you could really hear it. Yeah.

We are so that that was taken down, but I thought, you know what, I'll drive it. It's only got 10,000 KS on it.

It's not like it's, you know, really been running too well.

So I thought, you know, I'll let it drive.

But this is at about the first time I had a different place.

It was about 6000 K right. And then now it's it's go on

touching on 11,000 K and it's had the different place to supposedly the second time about 1000 K ago or maybe 2000 K ago and it's still making that noise.

I haven't. I know there's wheel bearing

issues and they've replaced a wheel bearing on it when they last replaced the diff apparently, Yeah.

So there's a wheel bearing that has been replaced since there's a squeak in the steering column when you turn a steering.

When you get standard, you can hear it squeaking and squealing like it's only minor, but you can hear it.

And I'm, I reckon I'm partially deaf and I can hear it.

So imagine someone who's got good hearing.

Yeah, it's just disappointing. The whole car.

The drives are high if you ignore the bit of the vibration, the diff noise. You know, you said the rattle in

the door which they fixed the first time and then I went down a corrugated road and it came back.

So I pulled the whole door card apart and went through and sort of checked everything and make sure all the components are away from not touching anything. And then I put some Detinor in

there as well and that seemed to have stopped the rattling on the general roads. But I haven't taken down a

corrugated Rd yet to find out. Yeah, it's just yeah.

In general the car is pretty average unfortunately.

That's really disappointing because it.

Yeah, it would have been a pretty good car I think, if you just didn't have the, you know, the diff, mainly the diff issue.

I can probably put up with the gearbox slipping when it's cold.

No, you shouldn't. You shouldn't put off on.

A brand new car. It shouldn't be an.

Yeah, anyway, I've reached out to Ford Australia, told them I've attacking them back numerous times since it's been off the road for, you know, several months, and I'll see what they come back with. Yeah, we'll watch this bad,

I got my Fiesta serviced. They gave me a loaner car.

They're like it's your three year 305000K service and I've done 10,000 KS and and they're like, they're like, Oh well, we have to do a brake fluid flush. I'm like the car's done 10,000

KS like it it, it doesn't need it.

And they're like, well, you know, according to, you know, it's either three years with this, it's due for that.

I'm like, OK, sure, you know, whatever.

But they gave me a oh, before I get to that, they, they said our next service is due for plugs. I'm like at 15,000 KS.

It'll be due for plugs. Oh, so you know it's 50,000

guys. It's all like like OK mate, no

worries. Sure, but we'll cross that

bridge when we when we get to they'd.

Be using like Iridium ones, Wouldn't they though A. 100%,

yeah, absolutely. So you wouldn't even change them

anyway like. No, they even if it's 1000 days

or something out there, Yeah. I think it's just, I think it's

Ford just doing 4 things. So the car's great.

I've got, I've got no issues with it, which is I feel bad for you, Rob, because you've had, you've had a bit of a bit of a bad run. But I, yeah.

So they gave me a loan car, which was, which surprised me what they gave me. They gave me a a Mustang Mark

EGT, which is at the top of the range.

They're just all they had in stock.

I got there right. And, and that they had they had

together the loaners line up there was like a, it was like a, it was a couple of escapes. And I'm like, I probably get an

escape like I did last time. Anyway, all the escapes are

going. I'm like, OK, there's a Ranger.

I'm like a Ranger. That Ranger goes and I'm like,

OK, I'm a next in line. They're like, and I give my keys

and they're like, I'll see you. And I'm like, I asked for a loan

and they're like, oh, no, it's what you did too.

Oh yeah, you've got the, you've got the, the, the Mustang today.

I'm like child thought I was getting like a like a new, like a new VM. I see.

And then they bring it around and like, Oh no, it's this one.

I'm like, Oh my God. So So it's a Grabber blue GT.

It's out of all the EVs I've been in and driven, it's the one that feels most like a car. Yeah.

Right. I, I can't believe I'm saying

this and it's taking every fibre of my being not to, but like, I kind of liked it. I thought it was all right and

then I interesting felt the power and my God, like it just it just rips your face off the like the instant the instant talk. So then I picked up Steph after

work from the city to go, you know, like I'll pick you up, then we'll go, we'll go pick up my car.

And then I scared her and she's like, she's like, this is ridiculous. What is?

What is this? It was.

Witchcraft. Yeah, It was a sorcery, man.

So it was. It was quite literally one of

the quickest cars I've I've been in.

The system was good. The quality felt good for an

American car. It was, it was good.

It was, it was. It was a lot better than I

expected it to be. Did that make you fill it up

before you get back? No2.

Hours before you. Get back and I had it in like

performance boat the whole time. Yeah, I was just like, you may

as well like it. It's it, it ripped like it was.

I couldn't believe how quick I was off off the mark and and at lunchtime I took it out. I took took my mate Kevin out

he had his sunglasses here. And they ended up in the

that was my experience with the with the Mustang marquee technology wise, it was really good.

sounds or anything like that? Like it gives you like a little

But yeah, that was, it was surprisingly good.

I kind of liked it. Surprised me.

But then I should like it. It's $100,000.

The electric EV show, The EV motor show.

And so I, you know, I went, I went along.

I only, I was only there for like probably an hour because like I was borderline on death's door.

And I got to see Riz. He was, I kid you not, a

freaking superstar. Like random members of the

public were coming after you. Oh, your risk.

And they sort of started talking about the EV space.

Like it blew my mind. So.

So yeah, he introduced me to a few people, people that you know, David Prince. I got to meet Byron, who's been

on your show. Oh, Matthew.

Yeah, Matthew, I guess, yeah, he, he was a nice guy and got to meet all the, all the people there in, in the cars guide, you know, crew and all, all other people from different brands.

And he was showing me around some of the cars and some of the things and he's doing big things.

So if you want a professional in the EV space, you know, Rizzi Ross is your man for that. So I just wanted to say proud of

you, Riz, You've, you've done a great job.

You know, he was on speaking panels and everything.

He was he completely like, you know.

Is that why he's abandoned? It is Manny.

It's because he's always in Shanghai and Guangzhou places, you know, Hong Kong and all these other places in the world.

His social credit's very good. Very good, very good.

So but he but he's working hard so good work to you, my friends and we'll we'll you know, we'll he'll be on the show at some point very soon. So, yeah, that was my car

updates generally. Now the topic for tonight I want

to talk about is before I get to it, I want to preface this with going to the automotive, you know, the EV automotive show on the weekend. There are there was AQ and a

questions that were being asked. And the questions that were

being asked were, you know, where do you see some, all these new brands that were there like Geely and Zika and, and all these, you know, brands that I had never even heard of that that, that were there, to be honest with you.

And they're like, well, if any, if, if the figures are showing what's happening, they're going to take over the legacy brands like what MG is doing, like what BYD is doing, like what Tesla's doing. So go be thinking, which of our

legacy brands have out of commas do we think are going to be here within the next five years? Like, like, well, which ones are

going to go? Because it's looking pretty

scary for a select few, which is weird to say.

Like, and we'll talk before the show when I was introducing the topic, you know, Honda springs to mind, which is just like, if you said this to me 10 years ago, that Honda is possibly on the way out of Australia, I would have laughed at you.

I would have said your mate, whatever crack you're on, get off it. Because like that is, you know,

it would be unheard of. But having said that, here we

are, you know, today and we've, we've had this chat about it, but it's not just them, it's a few other companies that I think are in, you know, in, in, in comparison, in this space are in, in a bit of trouble now. The legacy car brands or the

brands inverter commas. I hate that word.

Legacy car brands like it, it, it, it just makes it, it really, it's really not, you know, I, I don't think it's the proper way to say it's, it's this, I'd say established car brands.

Yeah. I was going to say, I haven't

heard that that term before and I, I was going to get you to clarify exactly what it was, but that's what you mean.

It's mean it's established car brands that have been sold in.

Yeah, correct. The well known I've been around

for 100 years at some point, you know.

Yeah. And there will be legacy brands

once they're gone. Yeah, correct.

Yeah, because like because when I when I was at that show, like they just kept saying legacy brands, legacy brands, legacy.

I'm like, I know I had to kind of figure it out, but, but basically this is your from May, this is your your deliveries, right. So Toyota on top 23,576, Ford

2nd place 8400 and 6499.9% ranges.

Mazda seven 7845 which is which which surprised me.

Kia 6 is only 7000. Hyundai 6 1/2 or over 6 1/2

Mitsubishi 4 1/2 Isuzu 4200 GWM Tesla, MG, Subaru, BYD, BMW, Nissan. So that's kind of like your

your, your top few. Then there's Cherry Volkswagen,

Benz, Lexus, Suzuki, Honda, Audi, LDV, Lana, Rima, Porsche, Volvo, etcetera, etcetera. Geely, you know, then they then

they just go, go, go, go. Go year to date to mate.

This is this is currently so that's made, made deliveries.

That's just made, deliveries made.

Deliveries, yeah. So it's interesting that in the

top top ten, if this was like this top ten, you know, I mean GWM sitting wait, 123-4567 eighth 8th, Tesla 9th, MG 10th.

If you would have told me those those three brands, GWM, Tesla and MG would have been in the top ten 3-4 years ago, I would have said not a chance. Yeah, especially.

GWM Oh, like, like they've, they've come out of nowhere, you know, but and it's, it's, I mean, fair credit to them.

They've said that they want market dominance and they're coming in for it and they're and they're doing a good job at it.

And BYD is above them, isn't it? BYD is was just was 2 below

them. So there was still there was MG

Subaru then BYD, but that kind of fluctuates.

So again again, that's deliveries that's that's that's out the door cars, you know, in in the last month.

So it's it's an interesting kind of Ledger, I'd say, because what surprised me is, is Mazda being so high up.

But I guess they they sell cars based on name.

And I think that's Toyota does that as well with, you know, with, with their reliability and their dealership network and and all that stuff. But I still think that, you

know, Despite that their share of the cake is going to be somewhat be taken still probably not Toyota as much because Toyota, but you know, your other brands, your Ford, your yeah, what's it called? Your Mazda, your Kia, your

Hyundais, your Mitsubishi's. Like these companies are going

to slightly, you know, start to, you know, I think going to get their their share in because there's from what I saw at this car show, like like, and and I'm not, and I'm not exaggerating here. Like there was brands I'd never

even heard of 1/2. They're just flooding the market

and they do not care. Like it's just like, Yep, we're

selling cars here now that that's how it is.

And they were saying an interesting stat, like during the during the presentation, it was like they forgot what, what company was it? Was it BYD, Like BYD said like

when they first started here that they were going to, they were going to aim to, to be top ten.

And now, and everyone laughed at them and, and they said we're going to top, we're going to be top ten in, in a year's time, though in three years time, this was when they started and then nearly there. Yeah.

And they have been, they'll be in and out.

So they said they'll be, they're going to be top 10, but now, but then they said three years ago, they're going to be top three.

And from all accounts, it's going to happen.

So this is, this means like the leaders, like Honda, like Suzuki, Subaru, you know, even the Koreans are like, you know, I mean, Nissan's in the middle of bloody nowhere down below, You know, the fact that cherries above Volkswagens just blown my mind. You know, it's, it's, it's like,

and I'm not talking about Benzes and Lexus and stuff like that, because like they're more of a niche, you know, like they're expensive cars and Land Rovers, whoever keeps buying them a bunch of idiots. But the, the like, the fact that

Gilly now Gilly has been around for what, 5 minutes and they've sold and they're already in, in the, you know, in the top 20, top 25 and there was 511 deliveries.

They sold more than many last last month.

You know, that's, you know, your, your Renos, your Skodas, your your Polestars, your your Cooper, stuff like that Jeep, you know, like, I don't think like these companies are just, you know, the fact that Jack has is is sold only, you know, 40 what's that, 51 less cars or 52 less cars than Jeep in a month is and they've been around for two months.

Yeah, you know, it's it blows my mind, like absolutely blows my mind. Like the the the Chinese are

here to play and they're here to stay.

Yeah, absolutely. So the beg is the question, what

companies do you think are just going to say in five years time?

Because because with all the and there's more like they were saying there's another there's so many more brands coming late quarter this year. Like, I mean, they're genuinely

coming to Australia. You know, it's, it's just going

to, it's, it's going to shake up the mic.

What, what companies in the next 5 years do you think aren't going to be here? We've already lost Citroen.

They already said see you later. Citroen has been here for over

100 years. Yeah.

So what brands don't you think are going to last the next five years in Australia? I think before we get into that,

I think we've got to preface it by saying, yeah, the, the reason why this is going to happen is because of there's one big pie and somewhere along the line they're just more and more someone has said, yeah, come in, water's fine, you know, and all these companies have all these brands are pouring in and they're all competing to the same pie.

So their, their, their slices are getting smaller and smaller and smaller. So it, it's Australia's long

been a bit of a backwater for international markets.

There's more uniformity now around ADRS and the like.

So things like ISOFIX seat points and, and that are in cars. Whereas for, for many, many

years every car coming to Australia had to be engineered for Australia, Like they had to be an Australian spec because of the seat anchorages for the child's seats and all that sort of thing, seat belt widths and the width of the glass and the windscreen and all those sorts of things.

So now there's much more standardisation, but it's the market. It, it's more the market's

fault, I think than the Chinese brand's fault or the, or the, or the established companies that we'll be pulling out because there's, it's not worth their time.

You know, they've got bigger markets in other countries in the world. I don't I I mean, I haven't

researched it specifically, but I can't think of any many other countries in the world where the market has been flooded like it has here. It just it beggars belief how

saturated our market is, like how many brands we have on offer here. Yeah.

Yeah, and it's there, all of the new ones that have popped up in the last 12 months that have just, you know, like it's some of the, I mean, yeah, like you've got what late motor there, you've got Citrons sold one car in.

Yeah, like. That's not.

That they sold more Rolls Royces than they did Citrons.

Yeah, they delivered five last month.

But like, for example, like, and we're not looking at Lotus, McLaren, Bentley, all, all that, you know, posh stuff.

We're, we're, we're talking about leap motor is sold more than Alfa Romeo D pal D pal Zika, you know, Jack, what's it called? Armada Jaiku, you know, you

know, like, what's what's that like?

I've never heard of that before. You know, KGM Geely, you know,

these are, these are in GM Sangyong.

Sangyong. Yeah.

So, so you gotta remember Geely, for example, Geely is like has a big stake in poll Star and Volvo.

Yeah, they only they, they only sold like 70 cars less than Volvo and they sold way more cars than Polestar.

So, you know, and they've been here for all of two minutes, you know, like the the it's and they're gonna.

Partly, partly that that little microcosm right there, those three brands, Geely is the cheap brand, that's the Chinese brand, whereas the Polestar and the Volvo are far more expensive cars. So even people shopping that

brand, you know, like, or, or all those models, there's they're model shared across, across different.

I was in at a Volvo dealer the other day and there was a what's the new little one, the EV30EX30EX30 parked next to the Zika. And I mean, they're the same

car, you know, literally the Zika's cheaper than the Volvo, you know, like, I mean, the, so the Gilly will, the Gilly will outsell Volvo and Polster, you know, hands down before very long, because most of the people, like most of the market probably don't listen to this podcast.

And and, you know, they're very attractive in, in, in the showroom. They're very well equipped.

They're they're on paper, they look really good value.

There's a lot of equipment in them.

The finish in, in a lot of them is, is very good.

So yeah, I mean, that's even my Subaru dealership is selling D pal now. Yeah, but well.

They're going to have to stay alive, these dealerships, aren't they? Yeah.

That's right. That's right.

The the the Renault dealership near me selling Haval now GWM the the Volvo dealership in what's it called that's in the field of selling BYD now. Yes, you know it.

And it's like the bigger brand that they sell there.

Look at this, the signage for BYD is bigger than the Volvo Sand Rover and Volvo which they also sell out in the same building. Wow, yeah.

It's just about trying to attract the right eyes to, you know, whoever is shopping for cars.

And yeah, it's that. I mean, they all have to play a

smart game. Look at the at the show, right?

You know, walking around, you know, mind you, I went there during the peak of it because, you know, I actually wanted to see who was going to be there too, because I couldn't wake up because I was dying. The amount of love and like the

the way people were just attracted to all these Chinese brands just blew it blew my mind.

Like it was like absolutely. Probably because they had they

had the Polestar stand there. There was hardly a single person

in there in the Polestar stand. They had the electric G waggon

there that, you know, the G waggon.

OK, yeah, cool. But like, yeah.

But even like the big brands didn't really come come there.

Like it was Mazda went there in terms of like a established brand Vodacommence, but everybody else was just, you know, it was just all these new brands X Ping, who I don't think have released their their latest, you know, the amount of the amount of sales that they've done.

But but you know, X Ping, you got to add them in there now too. You know, there's there's so

many, you know, companies and Riz was telling me about all the cars he's driven in China and that are coming to Australia.

He's like, he's like, Matt, it's the game's about to change with all these new brands coming in you it's, it's like it's, it's, it's unbelievable what's what's about to happen and just to sit, sit back and watch because you're going to see what these companies are saying. What, what we kind of laughed at

a few years ago, It's it's now coming to fruition that they weren't wrong. And you know, we were talking

electric cars as well, but we also talking like cut like these electric cars that are cheaper than like MG3MG3's, you know what I mean? Like they're like they're,

that's what these kinds of companies are coming for.

So, you know, Australia's cheapest car will no longer be Australia's cheapest car. It won't be, it won't be, you

know, there's a possibility it won't, it won't be, you know, petrol powered. So for me that that's, you know,

that's saying something that this is this is happening.

Is it a bad thing being flooded with so many different Chinese vehicles that are cheap? Just considering because I guess

they don't see Australia as a big market which means if you do have an accident in some of these cars you can wait on parts for months. Yeah.

So I've got someone that I work with, they had was involved in an accident and to get parts it was off the road for like 2 to three months. Oh well, OK.

Just to weigh on these cars, there's just no parts in Australia. They don't keep them here

because we're not as big, you know, when it comes to, you know, America and Europe and all that bigger countries.

So is that going to happen? I think 1 of, I think to answer

your question, I think I think they're going to have to, you know, bring the parts. And that was one of the

questions that was getting asked by a lot of the people at some of the stands that I was walking parts like this one guy was asking should I go the, the, The MGM G4 or the whatever it was?

And they're like, oh, go the MG drives.

But he's like, Oh my, go for this.

And yeah, you do you, bro, whatever.

And he's like, he's like, what about parts, You know, parts available. And they're like, well, they

technically have to have parts enough to last the car 10 years past. You know, it's it's technically,

but you're. Talking about offering spares,

correct? Yeah, for the part for the cars

that are, but not necessarily spares to be needed right then and there, correct. As in like keeping it inventory?

Absolutely. Spares and, and especially if

these, if these organisations and look, they're massive in China, yeah, like they're freaking huge, you know, like there's no doubt about it. But you know, they're coming

into Australia. Like, you know, it takes time to

set up distribution. It takes time to set up, you

know, factory. It takes time to set up all this

stuff, all these things to, to be able to, to have stock on hand. So I think that's going to be an

issue to, to 1 to answer your question.

But two, to add to your point of like flooding the market, it's going to do one of two things in my eyes, it's going to do one, prices should technically come down because there's more, there's more choose and there's more competition.

I mean, I don't know if it's going to happen, but that's usually if there's more competition prices, you know, adjust to to because they people want to undercut each other to to get a sale. There's already been a lot of

Corrections in, in the prices of them.

Yeah, 20% have been lots of reductions.

Yeah, like but like it, but it's even like even not with the Chinese company like like I saw Nissan today, I think took slash $3000 off Qashqai or or extra extra was it off extra it'll?

Be one of those two. That's all they got.

Yeah. Well, I mean, that's, yeah,

yeah, you, you are right. But like, you know, to compete,

that's that's three K It's, that's, that's not, that's not an insignificant amount of money.

That's three K. So you know, it's it's going to

it's going to you know, the the established inverter coms brands are going to going to struggle to because these guys are just going to undercut them like crazy.

So so the two things are going to happen to 1 the market's going to, you know, prices are going to adjust and two, the existing brands will have to adjust their prices and then they're going to not make their their their bottom line's going to be a lot thinner. They're going to, you know, not

going to do well. They're going to shut down

dealerships or possibly pull out.

Yeah. So this is my thing with, I

think with with Honda, they've shut numerous dealerships down, which is which, which if you, you know, if we're talking in the heyday in the in the mid 2000s, there's something I'm Brazilian, they're called EUR. Like nobody would have, nobody

would have, you know, would have better deny it at the, you know, stuff. No worries, mate.

But but now they're doing, you know, the fixed price model.

They've had to, they've had to cut back like they got rid of their, their bread and butter Jazz, like Jazz was always a decent seller, you know, and, and.

Yeah, they moved to a different model to to keep up, Yeah, to make money and to stay alive in Australia.

Are things to stay feasible. Yeah.

They're kind of like they're at their, you know, end of the market in Australia sort of phase.

They are going to have to make this work or like try and you know, like get their numbers up or otherwise.

Yeah, they probably will. And I think some of the like

your other like Nissans and Mitsubishi's are probably going to go towards the same route because they just have to like they they're going to be for their hands are going to be forced. Otherwise, yeah, they completely

pull out and you know, yeah. Well, Sue Bridge did some a

similar thing some years ago and Ben's have followed on from Honda and done it as well. And it's yeah, it's certainly a

model that that can work. But as I said, I mean that whole

parts backup thing case in point when the HRV was released, it's only in Australia. It's a four seater.

It's not a 5 seater because the they didn't engineer it to actually take the centre seat belt that is required Yeah, which it doesn't need another other market.

So they just made it A4 seater. Yeah.

I mean that was a cost cutting thing.

It has limited sales, although you can't buy one at the moment.

They've they're sold out of their stock.

So. So that's a good thing.

I mean they've sold their stock. It's better than having stock

sitting around lying, you know, And five seats isn't something everybody has to have, so yeah. But if someone said to you I'm

looking at a second hand Jazz or a brand new MG3, what would what would your answer be? If that were the choices, I'd

say second hand jazz. Yeah, yeah, no, and, and and

like, you know, it just boggled my mind that they've that they've gotten rid of jazz. But again, to to make the Jazz

feasible in Australia, they would have to sell it for like a lot more money than MG3, right? Well, that's and that's the

reason that model didn't come because it was actually priced higher before. A lot of the small cars have

gone up. Like there are no cheap small

cars. I mean, MG3 and Picanto are

still the lowest priced cars in Australia.

But I mean, a Yaris is 30 over $30,000 now.

So yeah, I know, I know it's nuts.

So even things like this go to Fabia and all those have crept right up. You know, they're they're 30

grand as well now. Volkswagen Polo is about the

same, you know, the same car like so that they, it was, I suppose, I think on their feet. Why bring them?

Yes, it's been a really solid car for their market, but they're going to have to provide a backup.

They're not convinced that they're going to sell them at that price point. That's why there was no business

case to bring them in. That's that what that's what

they that's what they were thinking at the time.

And I think it's proved, proved true.

People wouldn't have spent that much money.

Even in the UK the current jazz is is expensive.

It's it's the equivalent of nearly 40,000 Australian dollars. And that's where the Chinese are

rubbing their hands together because they're pushing all their prices up and the and the price point that can actually put the a good margin on their Chinese cars and still sell them cheap. That's right.

I mean, they're getting all the well, this is sweeping generalisation. I don't know this to be true,

but I know some Chinese brands are getting huge subsidies from the Chinese government for every car they export.

So, yeah, yeah. So, So once they're, if they're

leaving the country, that's great.

build cars and they don't really.

That's not true. That's not true that they don't

care if they sell them, but as long as they've exported them then they're getting the benefit from the.

Because adds to the GDP and like it, yeah, that's right, has a multi fold effect of like helping the economy, helping the companies make money so that they can pay more taxes.

And they're, like all sorts of things, yeah.

You know, you are right. It's I guess when people want a

new car, like they fish, people aren't into cars, but they, you know, again, the whole thing of caring for the environment and wanting a warranty, you know, MG 10 year warranty, you know, like, yeah, and and these are things that people can't.

They're all selling points. Selling points, you know, and

there's. Such points that people are

going to care about. It's not like we're offering a

free hat with every purchase. Like it's not, it's not like a

dumb edition. It's like a real thing that

people are gonna consider, oh, do I wanna pay the same amount and get a car with five years or 10 years?

Like it's a no brainer. Yeah.

And, and what they were saying, the thing was, was, was right.

Like they're like, you know, all these new Chinese brands, like they still haven't got the inverter commas, the ride and the, the, the compliance and the compromise right Yet.

Like they're very close, you know, in comparison to like a, you know, like a Kia EV3 or EV5, whatever they are.

You know, the, the Kia does drive better.

It drives more like a car because they've had more time to perfect it. But you know, they, they don't

take it long. And I don't think people like

especially that are buying an MG3 these days are caring about that. They're like, I get, I get 5, I

get 10 years warranty. I get, you know, if anything

happens, I can go get it fixed and then I'll just go buy another one. It'll cost me 20 grand.

Like, you know, it's, you know, it, it, it makes, it makes sense for them to buy that over really anything.

And the fact that Toyota's asking 30 grand for a Yaris, you know, as a starting price is just, you know, it, it really kind of shows the, the difference in the market.

You know, you're paying for a more premium product, yes, but you're getting more expensive car.

Vodacom is 1 less warranty 2. You know, and, and these are

things people care about, you know, and no one's taking their Yaris to the Bush in the middle of nowhere, you know, where you, you, you know that. And sorry, they're, they're,

they're MG to the Bush because it's, it's more of a City car.

So like they don't really, really care about the, you know, nationwide's best, you know, best factory support, you know, etcetera, all, all around the place.

know, they're selling and they're selling well.

And you know, yeah, it's, it's a the.

Concern the the concern I have about a lot of the marketing of and especially around the full EVs is that there's a shift to even a way the way you can buy them.

Even like I saw a video tonight actually came up on my feet.

The Tesla released a video of a, a new Model Y delivering itself to the customer came off the production line in Texas and they've got a camera set up in the car and the car drives itself to the customer's house. Well, so the, what the hell?

But with the, with the whole, you know, the, the, the sort of push around it is that a lot of people are acquainting a lot of these cars with using them like a mobile phone.

You know, they're, I mean, they're all connected and they're all interactive anyway with this huge screen that, you know, can go, oh, landscape or portrait in the middle.

But the the problem is that, you know, at the end of if the battery go runs down, then there it's like a mobile phone.

Oh, I'll just go or go and buy another one.

So the problem that creates is that that I mean the useful life of that vehicle over a shorter time it it's a terrible use of resources. Is it called planned

environmentally friendly or something, then you'd have to have a solar powered car, correct?

You know, you, you need to be able to charge your car from the solar panels on your roof. And I know some people do that

and that's when that that's, that's when that makes sense.

But if you're not, if you're not doing that and you're plugging them into the wall to to charge them or in a superpower supercharger or whatever they are, yeah, where's that power?

question of, you know, it feels that they kind of feel like throwaway, you know, cars, they don't feel like things that are built to to last. Now, Scotty, you put in the chat

about lithium mining? Great question.

Now they did, they kind of skimmed around it, if you know what I mean, because they all know it's bad, you know, the cobalt mining and you know all The Dirty moments and stuff.

But they're talking about these new, this new battery technology that's not cobalt based or, or not lithium phosphate based.

It's sodium based or something, or it's a, it's a, it's a different, it's a completely different battery.

So I think that's the next big thing in battery technology because again, but also it will and, and here's the scary part too. And you know, you know what

we're talking about how these cars are cheap, right?

These sodium batteries, they are half the price, if not more than half the price of a of a lithium ion.

And they're doing the same performance and the same power and XYZ. So you bear that in mind to what

the cars are being priced at. If that's half the price of the

battery, yeah, they're going to be selling $10,000 cars, if that if that's how that make that would make sense.

But again, they wouldn't do that because.

It's just like they why would they ever do that when they already have the cheapest car at a certain amount they're not going. To go like I've said after

COVID, like when people were paying exorbitant amount of money, like all new car prices went up because they're like, well people are paying you know like for example, FK 8 Type R yeah people were paying well above sticker for them and you know and yes you know and this is not not just Australians, you know American and all that so Honda say OK, well we're going to charge up exorbitant amount more money for our new typer because like, well if they did it anyway during during COVID, truly I can do it and I, and you know what I don't blame you Honda. I would have done the exact same

thing. You know that's you know, and

it's not just Honda it's four it's Toyota like they've all bumped their prices up on their ranges and their Hiluxes and their 300 series land cruises. You know it's the IT it makes.

There's a new ceiling. Yeah, correct.

You know, and I'll just use the Honda as an example because I I know that was a well documented one, but in a way we've got ourselves to blame. But in, in, you know, one, we

can be flooded because we we have no market to protect anymore, you know, So like, and, and I guess that's why none of these Chinese brands are really in America because like they've protected their, you know, and the same thing in Japan.

Like they've really protected their thing.

Like like Japan's only recently got Hyundai, you know, like that's, yeah, that's, you know, that's.

That's how the clothes they've been to external brands and.

Yeah, yeah. I mean, I mean, I mean, the

Ford, Ford was there forever because of their connection with Mazda. And they even had some holes in

there, which was, which was quite, yeah, quite a funny story. But again, there was a Mazda

thing that. Wasn't yeah, but like it small

market you know so yeah, it's I think I think these Chinese companies using Australia as a test bed for for Europe and for and for all these other bets to see well if we can do this and dominate this market and pretty much eradicate the competition imagine what we can do in Europe.

Imagine what we can do in you know other parts of Asia.

I imagine what we can do in XYZ and.

You know, but our market's not that hard to take over.

We should think about it. Everything's more expensive here

to start with. Yeah.

We don't make any cars here. Our used cars selection is a lot

lower than other countries. There's plenty of cars that they

get that we don't get. So if you count it to America or

Europe, I mean they're second hand markets, ginormous compared to ours and what array of cars they've got.

So I I would consider that it would be pretty hard for them to break into some of those markets.

Yeah, I'd agree. With you might be a little bit

easier in Europe because they'd start fitting into those emissions and things with those new emission laws.

So they'd be pretty chuffed with that, but.

Smog charge and all that stuff. Yeah, but I'm not sure.

I'm not sure about America, how they go there, I don't think.

They'll have a tariff. The same with Europe tariffs,

they they're putting a lot of tariffs on those cars, so they're not competitive to to protect their own market.

I guess that's why I like Hyundai and stuff are built, are building cars of Slovenia and Turkey with Chad's uncle and, you know, and Ford's. Yeah, yeah, well, sorry.

He, he works for Ford, you know, like it's all, you know, they're building them in in those locations so they don't have to pay the tariffs, right. Like that, that, that's why they

We all know that when you're. Aiming your golf shot or

anything, and if you're looking too far in the distance, it's very hard to gauge direction, that sense of direction.

So if you're aiming for the pin and you're too far away and you're trying to line up, yeah, it's it's not not easy.

So what you do instead is aim for something that's a lot closer. So it could be a leaf that's in

front of you that lines up with the pin.

It could be, you know, just anything small that you see on the ground. Use that as a guide to line up

and you'll notice you'll be hitting a bit more accurate to look at the object the object. Yeah.

Yeah, use that object. 1st so you go.

Jump into your stance like you're ready to hit it and or even before that, if you want, you can stand behind the ball and find that that object that's not too far and away the distance. Because if we focus on something

that's too far away, we lose that sense of direction.

So you'll want to. Focus.

On something that's that, that bit close up because it's just, I know it's just the way our eyes and mind works.
