You know, it's very somber, you know,
get you relaxed, get you ready,
because we're ready to talk for the next hour.

I don't know what's going on.
Apologize for that.
But yeah, I hope everybody enjoyed their Halloween.
Hope it was a nice, fun, safe evening.
It was nice that it fell on a Friday night.
So, you know, you could get out there
and not feel rushed or rushed to get home.
And, you know, and I gotta take my watch off.
My son is in a group text
and there's about 90,000 text messages
going off right now.
Highly distracted, so.
We did, all three of our boys went out.
And at first, my oldest was like,
he's going out with some friends
and then my middle son, who is 10,
sorry, 11, 11, thank you.
He's like, I don't think I'm going out.
I'm like, what?
I mean, I'm like, this is your holiday, dude.
I mean, that's all you consume is sugar.
I mean, this is your day.
He's like, I just think I'll stay home and hand out candy.
I'm like, okay.
Well, he ended up having to change your heart.
So we went out with some friends.
Had a great time.
Kids got a ton of candy.
Now I woke up this morning and I said to my youngest,
I said, hey, I just want to let you know,
I woke up in the middle of the night.
I was really hungry.
I ate all your candy.
No, you didn't, dad.
He goes, you would be sick.
I said, all right, well, the dog ate it all.
Well, she would have diarrhea.
I said, well, she's outside right now.
So, you know, she ate it all
and he got up right out of bed.
Boy, you ever see a child spring out of bed
in quicker than Christmas morning?
But, and every way it was extremely generous
with the Reese's Cups this year.
I mean, I don't know, it was very, very generous.
But my son goes, hey, somebody was handing out
dog treats, which I thought was a bit unusual.
I know there's dog lovers out there,
but to hand a eight-year-old bag of dog treats,
seemed a bit awkward to me,
but maybe that's something, that's a new trend.
I don't know, I'm not familiar with it.
We didn't have a dog.
There was no dogs.
I mean, we have a dog, but she wasn't with us.
I thought it was unusual to give kids
and he wasn't like just the only child.
Like, that's what they're handing out.
No candy, dog treats.
But I guess her dog has to have treats too on Halloween.

How can I help?
Hi, I'm calling because I have a 2009 Cadillac DTS.
It's got a North Star V8 engine in it.
And I, my car knowledge is very limited.
So I'll tell you, but-
Well, you called the right guy.
Okay, it sits in Florida eight months out of the year.
I decided to take her down there
and that's where she'll retire.
And now-
That's where I wanna retire too.
Now I run into the problem of the battery dies every year.
I know that it's not good just to leave her sitting there,
but I don't really got a good alternative right now.
So I'm wondering if battery tender
versus trickle charger and which battery tender
and should I put an additive
or something into the gas tank
and also this battery tender,
do I have to hook it to the battery itself
because it's under the back seat
or could I just raise the hood
and put it on the thing under the hood?
Okay, well, great.
I think the battery tender or the trickle charger,
either one will be perfectly fine.
Either one will be fine.
I don't think that there is a,
I don't think there's any pros or cons to either form.
Now, I would recommend that you do,
and I do know that it is under the seat.
I would recommend that you do connect it at the battery
simply because you're gonna get your most accurate results
because it's going directly to the back.
Because there are a jumping post underneath the hood,
but I don't think that you're gonna get
a great result from that.
So again, I think trickle charger tender,
I think either one's fine.
Yes, I would think your best,
the best idea would be to attach it to the battery
underneath the back seat,
which I know can be a bit of a nuisance.
Luckily the battery, I mean,
this back seat pops out pretty easily,
but as far as you said,
it's down there eight months out of the year
not being used.
Yeah. Okay.
And then is it in a garage
or is it sitting outside or under a carport?
It's just sitting under a carport.
Okay. All right.
As far as an additive,
I think if the car sits down there for eight months,
I personally think you'd be all right.
I don't think you have to.
Okay.
I do think that it would be beneficial.
I don't think it can hurt, right?
I don't think it's gonna hurt,
but I think the more important thing is,
is making sure that when you get,
when you do get down there,
I mean, how long are you in Florida?
I'm assuming that the other four months,
are you down there?
Right. Okay.
So I would, I think the most important thing to do is,
yes, battery tender or trickle charger.
Additive, I don't think it can,
it's not gonna hurt, certainly not gonna hurt,
but I don't think you're doing any damage to the vehicle.
But what I'd want you to do though,
and it might be a little excessive,
but I think when you're down there,
I think that in that four months,
I think you, whether as soon as you get down there,
you change your oil,
or as soon as you leave, you change your oil,
one or the other,
but I would at least like to see you change the oil
once a year in that thing.
I think that's pretty vital too.
And making sure your air pressure's up to snuff,
and it's a good thing that it's under the carport,
because that Florida sun can really wreak havoc
on the body and the paint on your car.
Yeah, the first year I tried covering it up,
but then I was really wanting someone to drive it,
so this time I did get somebody over there
to drive it every couple, three weeks,
but she only took it around the little park that we're in,
you can't go over 20 miles an hour,
so I don't think that did anything.
Well, no, but I think it does,
because what happens is the gaskets,
your oil pan gasket, your valve cover gasket,
your seals or whatnot, from sitting they harden, right?
So even if it ran, or if she idled it once a week
or once a month or every other week,
I still think that's beneficial
opposed to it just sitting the entire eight months.
So even though it doesn't go over 20 miles an hour,
it still would be, in my opinion, beneficial
because again, those seals will harden.
Now, down in Florida, it really doesn't get that cold,
you'll see a lot more of that
when it's in the temperatures up here,
but you still wanna make sure
that all those parts are moving, right?
So I think it's still important,
even if it only goes below 20 miles an hour,
I still think I would do it if it was my vehicle.
Okay, okay.
So what part of Florida are you in?
It's Boynton Beach, which is pretty,
it's south of West Palm Beach.
Okay.
It's pretty far down, so it stays warm.
Yeah, okay.
Which, yeah, that's what I was looking for.
Right after, yeah, I understand.
Yeah, right after Christmas, my wife and children,
we were heading down towards a little south of Sarasota
to get out of that, get through the holidays
and get through those cold days and get down there.
And so we enjoyed, the boys love it,
but yeah, I think that's beneficial to all,
everything that you brought up is just,
and then making sure, again,
while you're down there and you are driving it,
get it serviced and just say,
hey, look, can you check all my fluids, my air pressure
and get the oil changed?
Because that's very vital as well,
but everything that you asked are great questions
and things that, it's the worst thing you can do
for your car, whether it's like a family heirloom,
it's like, oh, this was my dad's, I wanna keep it forever.
Keep it at least getting out of the elements of the weather,
getting it out of the sun or whatnot, great.
And the worst thing that you can do for your car
is just let it sit and do nothing.
That's a recipe for disaster.
So even if you're a neighbor or whatever,
it even just goes out there and starts it for an hour.
That's better than just sitting dormant
for those eight months, so.
Okay, well, that's good to know.
And do you have a particular kind of battery tender
that you think would be, I've heard three amp,
I don't know anything about it.
No, I do not have a particular one.
I think what I would recommend is make sure
that you're not buying, I don't have a brand per se,
or, but what I would recommend is just make sure
you buy yourself a good one, not a cheap one.
Do yourself the, cause they're not terribly expensive.
You know?
Yeah, I've seen them, I think mid-range is like $50, but.
Yeah, I wouldn't go on Amazon and find a $10 one.
I don't think it's gonna do you any good.
I would just make sure you focus on the reviews
and making sure that it has a good review
and you buy a quality.
Doesn't have to be the top of the line,
but buy something that is a quality product.

Fall is my favorite time, my favorite season of the year.
My favorite time of the year is the holidays.
Now for most people they're, you know,
I find and I was telling my wife this this morning
we were watching the news and I said, you know,
I told my employees, I said,
hey, everybody enjoy their Halloween.
November 1st officially starts the season
and we can start listening to Christmas music.
And man, you wanna talk about some scruges.
I mean, I got all of them right now.
I don't like Christmas music, we don't like the holidays.
I'm like, man, I mean, come on.
They're like, no, Christmas music should be played
on Christmas day, that is it.
And I'm like, no, you gotta get amped up
and ready for the season.
And now it's, once you pass Halloween, it's Christmas.
It's the holidays, you can start listening to Christmas music.
I already started watching Home Alone, okay?
Which I got into an argument with one of my employees
because he says it's not a Christmas movie.
I said, absolutely it's Christmas.
No, it just takes place during Christmas
but it's not a Christmas movie.
I'm like, son, you are out of your mind.
So, but anyways, you know,
we're gonna get into colder temps.
You need to start thinking about getting the battery tested,
getting the car ready for winter,
checking your air pressure.
We already had a ton of customers coming in
with the tire lights on.
And now's the time to start thinking about that
because you know, in Cincinnati,
if you don't like the weather,
wait 10 minutes and it will change.
We could be in next week, we could be getting flurries.
You just never know.
You know, and well, I didn't say, yeah,
I said flurries, I did not say the dreaded S word.
We're not there yet.
But what I noticed earlier this week too
is we had a gentleman, he goes, hey,
he brought his car and he goes,
hey look, I was coming past your shop.
For those of you who live in the Pleasant Ridge area,
you know, the train tracks right by our ridge location.
That's ramp and most cars will go airborne
if you hit it fast enough.
So this gentleman said, hey, I lost my braking.
I didn't have any braking and I didn't have it
till I got down to the street about a block
and then I had perfectly, my brakes were fine.
I was good to go, but I brought it back
because something's wrong with my brakes.
I'm like, well, brakes don't normally go out
and then come back.
So I'm like, he probably was skidding
because it was raining.
Most of our, the traffic this week was just unbearable
because it's like, we haven't seen rain in months
and now all of a sudden nobody knows how to drive in rain.
So the gentleman had perfectly good tires,
perfectly good brakes.
Well, I shouldn't say perfectly good brakes.
He did need brakes,
but that was not the result of why he was skidding.
He was skidding because he was going too fast down the hill
and locked up the brakes.
And so, you know, these are things
that you need to start thinking about
getting the car ready for the winter.
So, all right, as promised,

Yes, I have a $2,000 Dakota
to pick up sort of the real action.
I mean, rain went out and it's so,
it rusted up pretty bad on the frame and everything.
Just wondering, is the word putting in the money into that?
Yeah.
Joe, how long's the car been,
how long's the truck been sitting?
That means sitting there, driving almost every day.
Oh, okay, okay.
All right, all right, you drive it every day,
but you said it's pretty rusty.
Yeah, you know, the frame rusted out,
well, so the body, but the frame is real bad.
Mm-hmm.
Yeah, I mean, you can,
I mean, it doesn't sound,
I mean, from what you're describing to me,
it probably doesn't sound like you wanna put it,
you don't wanna invest a ton of money in it,
but I mean, if the radio's gone out,
are you wanting to maybe replace the radio?
To read in.
Yeah, are you wanting to replace the radio?
No, it's the radio, you know, back in, yeah.
Oh, the rear end.
I just wanted, it's not really worth the trouble, they.
No, no, yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, no, I don't think it would be worth your time
to put that, to replace it.
That would be pretty expensive,
and I'd like to see you maybe use that money
for a down payment on something else, or.
But, you know, yeah, I wouldn't recommend it.

by three generations, ain't it?

Yes, sir, I am third generation.
Yeah, my grandfather started it,
and my oldest uncle and my dad took it over,
and then my cousin and I purchased it from our dads,
and currently running that as well.
So, yeah, and you know, you've heard me talk about it
on the radio station.

Hi, Dan.
Actually, it's a wonderful life.
For Christmas.
Okay, I have an order, although it's pristine, RX-7,
and I did the worst thing that you can do
based on what you said to that lady at the top of the show.
It's been sitting in the garage for probably three years,
and I want to get it out,
but now you scared the hell out of me.
Well, all right, so it's been in the garage for three years.
Have you ran it or anything in those three years?
No, because I thought I shouldn't.
Of course, that was a real wise decision.
I thought that I shouldn't
because it wouldn't be good for it.
I guess I was 180 degrees out of the proper way to do it.
How many? What year is it?
It's 91, but it's a rotary engine.
I'm sorry. Is that rotary engine?
Yes, it is.
OK, all right, there's just a certain way.
Certain way that you those things.
I mean, it's a great it's a it's a it's a unique engine design,
but sometimes there's a certain way you got to get those started.
What I would recommend.
So we used to have a gentleman that had one for years
and every year we'd have to he'd let it sit in the winter
and then we'd have to pull the spark plugs out,
run transmission fluid into into the spark plug tubes
and it would smoke like crazy and we would
but we'd put new plugs in it and we'd finally get it turned over, get it running.
And it was it was quite the quite the feat every year.
We had to do this. Luckily, he sold it.
But what I would recommend for you is, yes, don't start it,
especially with the fuel that's in it.
I get it towed first find somebody
who is a is familiar with that engine.
OK, I don't know off the top of my head.
I mean, we could work on it, but
you know, there there's got to be I don't know of an expert
that necessarily could take care of that for you.
Not off the top of my head.
I'm sure they're out there.
But, you know, my recommendation would be get it towed,
you know, push it out of there, get it towed, get all the fluids changed
you know, the the oil, the or the, you know, the brake fluid, the coolant,
the the the fuel, your problem is, too, is you're going to have to take
you're going to have to get that that old gas out of there, too, which can be.
I think Mazda usually has they have a cutout
like underneath the back seat where you can access it.
But but I mean, it's better late than never.
I mean, the longer it sits now, what I will tell you to
and I hate to say, but when the car sits like that, those those gaskets, man,
they harden up so it won't be right away.
But typically you start within probably if you if you start driving it,
you know, on a once a week or something like that, you'll start to notice
maybe in about six months, you'll start noticing leaks and whatnot
because those gaskets no longer doing their job.
And so it can be a labor of love.
You know, it's something that you want to if you're going to do it go all in.
But it can be it can be costly.
It can be costly.
I don't think by no means do I think like, hey, you know what, Tom,
you're you know, you're SOL and you just need to get rid of it.
I'm not saying that at all.
Just again, it's going to be one of the things where it can be costly
and it would be beneficial, I think, to change the fluids
and get it to somebody who is familiar enough with that particular engine.
And that but I mean, how's the rest of the car?
I mean, body wise, rust wise.
I mean, does it all look good or it's like it came off the showroom floor?
Oh, how many miles are on it?
Forty thousand. Forty thousand.
Did you buy it brand new?
Yeah, it had actually not brand new, but it had five thousand miles on it.
Practically brand new.
OK, all right.
So what what prompted you to not drive it for those three years?
Was it just one of those things where life got got ahead of you
and you just were like, hey, I'll get to it later or?
That's exactly it.
You know, I started a business and the business consumed me.
Yeah, I got it.
You know, I put it in the garage and figured we'll all get it later.
And later got to be much later in much later.
Yeah, yeah. Well, good.
I mean, if it has 40,000 miles, that's definitely worth taking care of.
So I actually just purchased a 2000.
I think it's a I don't know.
I think it's an 01 or 02.
I can't remember 01 or 02 Toyota MR2 spider, which it's a, you know, it's a mid
engine. You didn't see you don't see a ton of them, but it only has six original owner.
Guy had 62,000 miles on it.
I'm like, that's a cool little car convertible manual.
And so.
But yeah, I think I think it's worth investing the time and money
and getting it up and running again, because at some point it's going to be
worse. And I don't know what type of value is it?
Have you ever looked up to see if there's any what type of value it has?
I'll tell you, they go from 20 up to 50.
Wow. OK, I'll see.
So yeah, then I definitely recommend find somebody who is going to take care
of you, making sure that you get that thing back up and running.
And then if and when you do it, just, you know, it doesn't have to be every day,
you know, just pop in there on the weekends or going to the grocery or
or something like that, just getting it out there, stretching our legs.
And and, you know, yes, you want to keep the miles low, but it would be beneficial
just to drive it, you know, once or twice a week or, you know, again, going to church.
You know, can I, which said, you know, I can change role and stuff,
you know, radiator fluid and what I mean, can I do that?
Sure. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah.
If you, yeah, if you want to take on the task, absolutely you could.
I think the only thing that you wouldn't be able to do would just be the
the brake fluid changing the brake fluid, because typically you want to.
We have a machine that forces, you know, it it sucks out the brake fluid
as it's forcing new brake fluid in.
And again, brake fluid absorbs moisture, right?
So you'll get you're kind of a fading pedal over time.
So it would be beneficial to to flush out the old brake fluid to break.
You'll notice tremendously that the response, the brake pedal response
will increase, which is which is a good thing.
So but you may know, is that something I could bring to you for you to do?
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, we hook it up to a machine.
We open up all four bleeder screws and,
you know, and like I said, one of the four
the machine as it's sucking brake fluid out, it's forcing brake fluid in
and replaces it all with new fluid.
And yeah, it's we do it a lot and I do it on my own vehicles
and it's very beneficial.
So keeps it keeps, you know, all the brake hoses.
It prolongs the life of the hoses as well, because that moisture in there
you really want to you really want to get that out.
So but yeah, it's something that I could do for you and not a problem.
So if I know you had mentioned
to the toad up there, if I just change the oil, can I drive it up?
Yeah, absolutely. OK.
Yeah, you may want to you may want to
find an additive and try to put some fresh gas in it.
If you can, I mean, if it's a full tank,
but I mean, if it's a half tank, quarter tank or something like that,
if you could put some type of additive and introduce some new fuel to it.
I think that would be beneficial if you're going to try to drive it up.
Yeah. And I mean, I got to figure, I got to believe that
somehow I can get under there and grain the tank and refill it.
Yeah. I mean, do you agree or not?
Yeah. So I think, again, most of your imports, your Honda's,
your Toyota's, your Mazda's underneath the back seat.
When you remove the back seat, there's a little cut out.
There's a plate, usually four screws.
Take those four screws out and that allows you access to the tank
where you could access it and remove the gas yourself.
You wouldn't have to drop the tank or get underneath it
because those are accessible from the top.
Gotcha. All right.
Because I'd like to bring it up to you and say,
you know, if it's possible to do something to it, do it.
Well, I'm sorry. What'd you say?
I'd like to bring it up to you.
Yeah. So that, you know, if it's possible to do something to it
that I haven't thought of or something that you do and I can't do,
you know, I would just say, you know, do it.
Sure. Bring it up to me.
I'll be more than happy to take a look at it for you.
That's good. Hey, one more, just an absolutely quick question.
A pickup truck, aren't you supposed to have when you get new tires,
get all four instead of, you know, mine has like four different ones?
That's not good, is it?
No, no, you want to you want to make sure that they're all the same.

I run the truck, somebody in a king back, a mess.
Yeah, I won't be doing that again.

Taking your car questions.
The number to call five one three seven four nine fifty five hundred.
Sorry, I was yawning.
It should not be yawning.
But I got up a little early, got my wife and I some coffee and watch some TV.
And and then for some reason, I was like, I'm kind of tired.
I think I'll take another nap.
I don't know what's going on with me.
I turned 40 and I'm telling you, I've just started falling apart.
It was nice, though, because Danny was just asking.
I said, I'll have to hear we got to go to a birthday party.
You ever stop on the weekends, too?
I'm like, never.
A weekend is just as busy as a weekday for us.
You know, my wife had to drop off.
I had to pick my son had a sleepover, so I had to go pick him up from there.
We had to drop off football uniforms and helmets and, you know,
all the all the everything for football.
My two youngest ones were playing football, drop that off.
Now they're at a football party for the kind of season ending football year.
And I had to my wife forgot her cell phone.
So I rushed up there, dropped it off to make it here, barely on time.
And and then soon as I'm done here, we get a high
tail it over the West Side, because we've got a birthday.
My niece is a birthday party.
So it just, you know, even if it just for it just, you know,
you're like, oh, last weekend, my son lost.
I'm like, oh, my gosh, this is going to be great.
What are we going to do?
We're going to have the weekends around all this time and here.
We don't have it.
Just something always something always fills the gap.
So, you know, what are you going to do?
All right, let's go back to the phones.
We have Floyd.
Hey, Floyd, welcome to the car show. How can I help?
I just got a 2010 Dodge Dakota.
I got no lights on it except for the tire pressure center.
I guess the system on that is a little bit older.
Doesn't have the the specifications like which tire is low or anything.
It just tells you if there's a sense of anything.
So I have no way of trying to figure out which in the world,
what tire it is that could be low or if it's the module itself.
I just don't know what direction that they put that on.
I'm deflated the tires, re-inflated them, you know,
to the manufacturer's specs.
But I can't I can't remember what that was now.
And I'm not taking them low, building back up.
So, all right. Any ideas?
Yeah, sure.
Let me ask you something.
When you start the vehicle, does that tire light ever flash?
Or is it just come on and stays on solid?
It flashes. OK, so great.
So if it's flashing.
Now, for those of you who are listening, this is a great question.
We've been and we we deal with it every day on the across the board.
Every vehicle out there that has or is equipped with this system.
If you start your vehicle up,
you start it up, the tire light is on and it's it comes on and it's solid.
That is an indication that one or multiple tires are low.
Now, if you start your vehicle, whether it's a Toyota or in this case a Dodge,
you start your vehicle and that tire light is flashing.
That is indication that either one or multiple tire pressure sensors
are not reporting back to the module, which again would indicate
that the batteries are dead in one or multiple sensors.
Now, there is no way for you to determine exactly
which one is bad.
You would have to bring it to one of my location or a location that has a computer.
And what we can do is we can go in and we can scan them
and find out exactly which one is not reporting back.
Now, again, you know, every single one of your tire valve is basically
it acts as an antenna and that's what sends a signal back to the module.
Modules almost never go bad.
It's usually just a battery indication.
So a lot of the times you bring it to us, we'll scan them all.
We'll figure out which one or which ones are not or are dead and not reporting back.
Now, there's no way to replace the batteries on these sensors.
You have to replace the whole sensor.
And at the tune of about one hundred twenty five bucks, one hundred
one hundred twenty five bucks per wheel.
The other thing that I would really want to emphasize to you as well is if one is dead.
So say you come to me and I go, hey, look,
hey, you know, left front sensor is not working.
We put one in it and then two months later, you're going, hey,
damn, the tire lights flashing again. What's going on?
Oh, hey, Floyd, well, now the right front's dead,
you know, because they're all came out at the same time.
So I wouldn't recommend replacing all four of them.
But what I recommend is and just know that, look,
if only one of them is testing bad and you have it done,
you have the potential of those other three dying at any point.
Now, again, we have the this the computer that can tell us, hey, look,
Floyd, the right front has like 20 percent battery life left.
It looks like that one's going out next.
But if it's flashing, you need one or multiple sensors.
Well, I'm wondering if you're soon.
I'm probably going to get some new tires on it.
And I thought about maybe just having them all replaced when, when I do that.
I would recommend that.
I would recommend then.
I mean, I guess I can get by with with it for now.
Yeah. So along that note, too, because I really do like,
I've gotten so used to having with my other vehicles,
just that benefit of seeing it.
I did buy, they weren't very expensive,
but they were just a type of look like the valve stem caps
and that either hook up to your phone.
I know they're there's mixed reviews on them.
Have you had any experience with those?
Is I figured just for a short term, you know, it's good.
Yeah, no, I don't know if anybody's had any experience with being any good or not.
No, I have not seen those.
I'd have to look into that. I do.
No, I have not seen them.
I don't know the only thing that I would emphasize to all of those
who are listening is if you do have one of these vehicles
that has a tire pressure monitoring system on it
and you have a aluminum valve stem, aluminum,
please don't go to your local parts place and buy aluminum caps.
These things will seize onto these stems and you can't get them off.
I have to break them off and then you end up needing all four sensors
because people like to, you know, they'll get ones online,
not, you know, and say, you know, Ford and they want to screw them
onto these aluminum caps and then you can't get them off.
So I recommend not doing that.
But the system that you're talking about, I am not familiar with.
I've not seen that. I'll look into that.
Yeah, I was just really curious.
I think I was looking for sensors for another vehicle of ours.
And I saw those and I never wound up installing them
because it looked like they might be more trouble than they were worth.
Like a lot of people had just mixed reviews on it, but it was cheap enough.
It was, you know, we were going out of town.
I thought, well, you know, just, and then it was going to be
my wife is going to be by herself.
I was going to be able to go with it.
And then I wound up being able to go.
So I didn't bother just check the air every time we, you know, we got gas.
OK. All right.
Yeah. Well, I appreciate the help.
I'll go ahead and do that.
And I guess I'll just muddle through.
And it sounds sounds like what you're saying.
I think the same thing.
I mean, it's 2010.
They probably haven't been replaced.
Correct. And it's just it's just that time from the be replaced.
Yep. And save yourself the labor, too.
Because if you're getting four tires, you save the self, you know,
you save yourself labor.
So you're not paying all that extra cost.
Just say, hey, look, they got to break them down and re and remount them
and everything and rebalance them. Yeah.
Yep. OK. I appreciate the help.
We'll take care of.

And I was actually going to talk about that in the beginning of the show.
I did mention air pressure because we, you know, would again,
for every 10 degrees at the ambient air temperature
that your temperature outside drops, you lose one pound of air.
In fact, two weeks ago, my tire late came on.
Now, my tires were just, you know, they were just a little
low, all of them were because, again, you know, the last time I had my
oil changed, it was, you know, 80, 90 degrees.
Well, now it's getting down in the 30s, mid 30s, 40s.
Well, you're going to lose some air pressure.
So it's going to kick those tire lights on.
And so I pulled it in, checked my air pressure, topped it off, got the light out
and boom, there you go.
So that's very common at this time of year.
So great question.
So again, if your tire light, if your car is or has this type of system,
if the light is on solid, you've got a, you've got an air pressure issue.
And a lot of times you can't, some vehicles, you check the air pressure,
tighten it up and boom, you drive down the street, it goes out.
Some systems, you need a computer to re-scan them.
Some systems, you have to push a button and every single car is different.
But again, if the tire light is ever flashing across any maker model
as an indication that one or multiple sensors is not reporting back,
meaning that the battery in the sensor is dead.
Again, you can't replace it.
You just have to replace the whole sensor.
So all right.

How can I help?
Yeah, thanks for taking my call there.
I have the Toyota and the other day I went out at night
and turned everything off and the lights when I came back.
The headlights work, but your regular
dome, the dome lights on the outside of the car, it doesn't work.
And the dashboard lights don't come on.
Now, we're trying to figure out what you would would cause that to go bad.
Well, so the headlights, so you have normal headlights and do your brights work?
That the other brights work, the normal headlights work.
But if you go to do one click back
and if you're just sitting still with the engine running
and you have your marker lights working, I'm trying to say.
None of those come on.
And the inside dashboard for us
what tells you how fast you're going?
Yeah, your interior dash lights aren't working as well.
Yeah, none of that works.
But my brake lights, brake lights work, emergency lights work.
Radio works, dome light inside the cab works.
Everything else seems to work.
Signal lights work, all of that works.
But those two don't.
OK, and did they seamlessly go out at the same time?
Yeah, it just went out.
It went out just like out of nowhere.
OK, all right.
So I mean, first and foremost, now we could be dealing with
a wiring issue or a cluster issue or something like that.
But before we go digging and trying to create all kinds of habit,
have you checked your interior fuse, interior light fuse?
Yeah, I'm trying to figure out which one is the correct one.
And it doesn't say specifically
dome lights or tail lights on it.
That's what I was calling about.
It doesn't significantly say exactly which one to switch.
Well, typically, I mean, does it have,
I would assume it has both fuse boxes,
the one under the hood and then one underneath the dash.
Yes.
OK.
OK, so I mean, the one that's underneath the dash
or on the inside of the cab, that's where I would check first.
There should be.
Is there a diagram on the back of the cover that shows interior,
exterior or any type of diagram?
Yes, it is. OK.
It is, but it shouldn't say like tail lights or something.
No, I mean, I would know I because you are your
or the tail lights not working either.
There are lights work when you go to break.
OK, OK, but they don't kick on as well.
OK, OK.
But the brake lights are working, you touch them.
But if you're just sitting still, OK, OK, all right.
I mean, they would report more than life to the market
for work on work.
Yeah, I mean, the fact that they both went out at the same time
as it to me is an indication that we've probably got a fuse issue.
But no, I would focus on.
I they typically are they're usually opposite.
They usually have, you know, usually have your exterior lights
and then you usually have an interior light.
And the fact that they're both not working at the same time.
You're you're going to the the only thing that you could do
is get yourself a pair, get yourself a little flashlight
and pair needle nose pliers and.
Find the interior exterior lights and just pull them.
And then here's the deal to them.
I mean, there's been times where my guys have pulled their
out because they're like, hey, the fuses are fine.
I can't figure out why.
Well, sometimes they'll break or they'll pop and it'll be so minute.
You can't see it with the naked eye.
So I'm I want you to even if if you don't,
if it doesn't even look like it's bad, I'd replace it anyways.
Because again, I had a guy one of my techs years ago got burned.
We replaced everything under the sun in this car
and it was just a bad fuse.
But you could not see it with the naked eye.
It didn't pop and over.
So replace them anyways.
Try that and then give me a call back.
