It was, uh, man, I tell you what it was.
January February was a little touch and go. It was
a little little soft on business. And again that's that's
always typical. You know, we get through the holidays, nobody's
traveling and uh, you know you're getting those credit card statements right from Christmas.
I got you know, I don't know if I want to fix my car right now.
So it's it's it's usual, right, But man, it's really starting to pick up. You know, we've got spring break.
You know a lot of people are in spring break.
My boys are gonna be in spring break next week.
We're not traveling anywhere, but you know, this is the time that we need to discuss. We need to start
talking about thinking about getting the cars ready for you know, spring break or your your summer trip. Right, most of
you already have in mind, are already planning to travel this summer, and get the car ready right now.
You need to get it ready. Now, it's now is
the time we need to think about this.
Checking the tires, checking the brakes, make sure that you know, oils change, fluids are checked out. You know, these are
things that we have to do, and we need to start thinking about it now because far too often, and you know you've heard me say this before, we we wait till the last minute, right we think about the car.
Oh, shoot, you know we're going out of town this Friday.
I shill probably bring the car in and then you don't get it in and you have, you know, uh a problem.
So now it's the time to start thinking about that.
Most of us.
Again are planning our summer trip or already have it planned, right, So if you have one planned, you need to think ahead and sit there and decide. Okay, now it's time
to think about the car. Get it scheduled, get it
in right meanwhile, think about this right, So let's just say you get it in next week or two weeks from now, and you know you're you're automotive repair shops, says, Hey, you're gonna need breaks real soon. You're probably gonna need
them in about a month or two. Right, then you
can plan for that, right, so you're not cramming in a break job right before vacation. And now money's kind
of tight because you know you had to fix the car before you could travel and get out of town. Right,
so now's the time to start thinking about that stuff.
So all right again, then I'm gonna call a five one, three, seven, nine fifty five hundred.

welcome to the car. So how can I help?
Well, my horn isn't working on my B three thousand, two thousand and two Mazda, and I checked all the fuses, all the relays, and I was wondering when I was looking at the manuel it's the anti theft has something to do, possibly with the horn, because that has to sound when your car's getting broken into. So its possible
there's a relay for the anti theft that might be the cause of the horn not working.
I highly doubt it, So let me ask you something.
So is your horn do you have a horn pad right in the center or do you have a button on each side of the steer.
Will two thousand and two has the pad right in the center.
Okay, and uh so you have no low tone, no low tone or high tone.
Just nothing, no nothing.
Okay, are there any lights on the dashes? Like is
there an air bag light on or anything?
Oh?
I don't know.
I didn't know that had something to.
Do with it.
So, so your horn runs through what's called the clock spring. Okay,
it's and that's behind the the air bag. Okay, So
you've got your horn, you've got your clock spring, and then you have I'm sorry, you've got your horn, your air bag, and then your clock spring. And that runs
that horn through that clock spring.
So if the airbag light is on, it's very possible that the clock spring could be bad. Now, if you're like.
Day know the airbag light is not on, then either the horn pad itself is bad inside that that you know inside the yeah, correct, or the horn itself is just it's just bad.
I mean that that can happen.
No, I don't think there's a relay or I mean it could be could be a relay, could be a fused, But you said you've checked the fuses.
No, I do not think it's any I don't think it has anything to do with the anti theft. Okay,
but check to see if check.
To see if that airbag light is on. That's that's important.
If it is, then we probably have a bad clock spring.
If it's not, then either the horn pad itself is bad or the horn is just bad.
Okay, great, that's something for me to check.

You know, every car has what's called a clock spring, so most of our newer cars nowadays have electronics. Right,
You've got your your cruise control, your horn, your turn signals, I mean, everything kind of runs through that clock spring and which allows you to turn the wheel all the way to left, all the way to the right and still have contact right with the So probably what's going on is either the horn pat itself is bad or the horn so all right, let's go back to the phones.

Absolutely, thank you for calling. How can I help?
I have a rare no start situation in MIO seven Honda Odyssey okay, And the way I resolve it is I just have to pull the shift lever out of park, push it back in the park. It starts right up.
I don't know for diagnosing whether it would be the shift linkage or the neutral safety switch.
Okay, does the vehicle have you will the vehicle? So
if you pull it out of park and put it back in park, it'll start correct?
Correct?
Will it start in neutral? Oh?
I never tried that.
Okay, So if it.
Will start, you know, typically if your car will not start, but it will start a neutral that's typically a neutral safety switch, which would cause the car to allow you to start it right. But I believe what's going on
is if you're if you're pulling it out of gear and putting it back into gear, that that selector which shows the car that the shifter is in park, You're most likely that shifter itself needs to be replaced.
Is it a is it a column shift or is it a it's in the Okay, it's in the dash, which typically that's most of your odysseies are like that, so so probably the shifter itself is bad. That the
selector that tells the car that it's in park, so what you're doing is by taking it out and putting it back in there, all of a sudden, it's making that contact and it's probably so most likely it's going to need that shifter on the shifter assembly replaced. Okay,
but try to see if it starts a neutral I just I'm just curious because it could have something new the neutral safety switch. But again, if you if.
You're taking it out and once you put it back into gear it starts, then it's that that selector switch that's in the assembly.
Now.
A lot of times most people go, well, Dane, can I just replace that switch? Most of the time, Han
is not gonna sell just that switch. You're gonna have
to replace the entire assembly, which probably isn't too expensive, I have. You know, I don't know off the top
of my head what it would cost.
But my concern though, too is with it being an seven, it might not be available.
That's what I was afraid of.
But my car has been very, very durable, and I really would like to keep it going.
Yeah, they're great cars.
Absolutely, I would fix it, hands down, I'd fix it.
So but that's that's what you have going on, is that that that assembly is probably bad. The switch that's
in the assemblies bad, so gonna have to replace that.

To help the working man keep his car going?
Absolutely?
And you know like the newer cars, the dealerships, they didn't want us to be able to work on our cars.
The main reason, the main reason I called. And I'm
not bragging. I drive tweets.
I don't have no problems.
But uh, it was a guy.
Last week that called in. He had a Saturn and
he had this car for quite a while and I believe he had a couple of hundred thousand on it.
It was it a Saturn eye on or Saturn is an eye on?
Yeah, And he said, hey, recently I am radio started making noise. You know, he's trying to figure out what
it is. Well, this is my sheer luck that I
know what it is. And I've been dying to call
you all week.
But I bought it.
I bought He used Corolla one time, and uh, I man not listening to the Reds and listening to Gary bird Bank. That was my thing when I was younger,
and that Corolla, no matter what, it ran great, it just AM was terrible. He's real staticky, right, And I
could never really listen to Am.
It was horrible.
So I went to the junk yard, went out throwing those jugyards on Kellig Avenue, and I got in the new radio and I put the dash apart. I put
it all in. I was all excited and I turned
it on. It was the exact same thing.
Well, it just so happened. About two months.
Later, I was an auto zone or something and they had plug wires on sale, and they were real good ones, but they were discounted price. So I figured out my
car run good, you know, pop them off five minutes on a and I put those new plug wires on there, and just by chance, a day or two later, I went to check to see if I could hear the red score, and my hand was perfect.
He needs plug wires.
His part.
Might we run great, and he might think.
Everything's fine, but I'm telling you right now that Saturday needs plug wires.
Really, I'll buy them for him.
I'll buy them, like, if that guy's listening, you get old of me, you got my phone number, I'll pick plug wires just to hear him say, yes, it fixed my radio.
Well, I you know, I have seen and heard a lot, but I've never heard plug wires fixing AM radio.
But I'd love to I don't you know.
I'm not doubting you. I've just never seen it, that's all.
It blew my mind because I thought to myself, what did I do recently?
And it was still plug wires.
I still had the old ones playing in the back seat, so I went ahead and just to see I put them back.
On, and sure enough, the part ran perfectly. But they
were making.
My a m aesthetic interesting.
So there you go, and and that's all I got.
And I swear I am so happy to be able to do that. Like I said, he sounded like an
older gentleman. He's on a sixth tencom or whatnot. I'll
buy his plug wires. And I would love to hear
him call back and say that's what it was.
Because he's keeping that Saturn.
That saturn ain't going nowhere.
No, the older Saturns were that's the start. Yeah, the
older Saturns were there. They were almost tanks. I mean
you couldn't kill those things. I mean they smoked, they
towards the end of their life. They would smoke and
burn some oil, but I mean they were still a good car. You just don't hear Saturn mum.
You know, I think I think General Motors got scared of the monster that they created. I think they purposely
got rid of that brand, because, Buddy, I tell you, I was in the car business. I work for Joseph
Toyota for many, many years, and those cars were just fine.
Those cars were quality, and those cars, like you look at them now, there's no rust on those cars. There's
nothing to us. I know you're right, gentleman, Nickolity. I'm
telling you, I hear in his voice that car is never going nowhere. He's gonna keep that car the list
of his life. And if he's listening, you tell him
call in and you get a hold of me, and I'll pay for whatever the plug wires are, all right, Jack, I even go put him on for him. I just
to hear that AM radio work again would.

Uh, I was one I know you've.
I was mentioned that you have an import uh you know, kind of especially for import shop now and I was wondering if you work on Porsches and it's an old one, it's a it's just and.
That's the toys all it is.
It's a two.
Thousand and six Boxer.
Uh.
The basis automatic, kryptonic, uh two point seven Leader mid engine.
And you know, I really don't have anything wrong with it right now. I just have its service. Every I
put it away in the winter, have bill change even though only have I've only got twenty two thousand when I was on it. So uh, you know, it's like
I said, I have have the those things by no.
You know, times are enemy, so you know and you look on uh you know online all these gurus sitting well the one of these you know, they're saying, well you need to change the water pipe, you need to do this, and you do that, and you know, hoses and things deteriorate. And my main question is just to
see if you you know, work on these.
Yeah, absolutely we do. Okay, Yeah, it wouldn't be a
problem at all. You know.
I ironically my new auto foreign shop.
We're working on a this week.
I had a nineteen seventy bug there and twenty twenty one Lamborghini.
So we we got so you know, we have a you know, but yeah, absolutely we could handle that. We
could do that.
As far as maintenance goes, I mean this Porsches don't need a ton. Yes, I think what we do is
we get our eye on it just to see if it needs anything.
I don't know, I.
Know, you know, if it gets into electronics where it needs some type of computer module, I'm not going to have the software to do that. But as far as maintenance, tires, brakes,
water pumps, timing belts, things like that, we can handle that.
Yeah.
And that's and that's what and that's what I'm looking for, because like I said, I have I don't even you know, we I farm, and you know we work on all of our stuff. I've never touched this thing, you know,
I've never i't like to have the hood up because you know, got raised the convertible halfway up to get into the engine bay. I don't even look at it.
I don't even. I don't even touch this thing. But
you know, I get I get put a couple thousand miles, get all changed. I mean, and I take it to
local horse dealer. I mean, you know they're but it's
you know, it's a little pricey, but you know, just go play. You got paid. Yeah, So and I get that,
but it's like it's just a toy. Uh, you know,
I still enjoy it. So but you know, thinking mate,
you know you guys over the years, I mean, like your dad's helped me out. So I thought, well, I
just check you out, and you know, run, I know you guys are conscientious about everything.
So I was just yeah, and you know, find you.

And if it's something that I can't do, Russie, I'll tell you I'm like, hey, look, you know, it's it's it's something that I'm not you know, I'm not afraid.

To say, hey, look, I mean there's there's been times where I'm like, hey, look we we don't.
I've got a.
Mercedes right there, I got I have a Mercedes right now, and I just told the gentlemen like, look, I don't have the software and the equipment to go any farther right, so it needs to either go to a dealer or.
A Mercedes specialist. I'll always shoot you straight and be
honest with you. But I mean, I would say ninety
percent of that that that that vehicle, I can handle it.
It's just it's just you know, the quirky stuff like maybe a software issue or a module or something like that.
I just because I had a little Poorsch boxter for a couple of years and I couldn't communicate with the ABS mob just to the ABS light trash control light ron And I mean, heck, I have a shop, and I just I didn't have the means of being able to do it. So I just looked, you.
Know, what did you get rid of it?
So I sold it? Yeah, and told the gentleman.
That why did you get rid of it?
I mean, well, I.
Thought it was gonna be fun little thing that you know, my boys kind of liked it. But you know, obviously
with three boys, you know, I can only take one at a time.
And I thought I thought my wife would enjoy it.
And she's like, I'm not getting in that thing. And
I'm like, ah, okay, right, So.
I'm like, okay, well I guess we'll get rid of it then, okay, sure, okay, but.
No other reason. I mean, Porsche's a great Porsche is
a great fear.
Fear of it or anything well, you know, tick a time bomb or anything.
You know, no, no, no, no, I mean, and.
It's and it's the model in the year with am the IMS is not supposed to not be a problem, of course, you know, I know yourself, you.
Know, and I had so the way I acquired mine was that needed a clutch, So when they were putting the clutch in it, I had them that I am I am RC or whatever.
Yep, yep, yep, yeah, okay, yeah, good for you.
But no, I'd be more than happy to service it.
And if there's something I can't do, I'll just I'll always shoot a straet and be honest with you.

I'm not afraid to work on anything.
And uh, you know when we had the Lamborghini come in, uh uh my business partner Kyle my cousin.
So you're not gonna look at that, are you? Like, well,
it's got an exhaust rad. I said, oh, at least
look at it, you.
Know, And it ended up being just an actuaiter on the back of the muffler and we're able to get the part.
And you know, so sometimes people will look at the the price tag of the vehicle or maybe not be familiar enough with it. But I'll always look at it.
I'm not afraid to look at it and shoot your street.
And if I can't fix it, I can't fix it, but at least give you an honest opinion on what I think it is or maybe where you should take it.
But that's what I'm here for. You know, I can't
fix every car out there, but at least you know.
I had a buddy of mine.
He called me up, really really good friend of mine.
He has a nineteen seventy six Porsche. And he goes, Dan,
I know you don't work on these things, but where can I take it? And I said, well, what's going
on with it? And he goes, it's leaking gas. I said,
all right, well, I said, just bring it.
In, tow it in.
I will at least look at it and give you an honest opinion on maybe what we need to do.
And turns out that a fuel injector was leaking and was able to find the part on Believe it or not, Amazon found the part on Amazon, had it there within twenty four hours, had it fixed, and back out on the road, and cost him couple hundred bucks.
You know, at least let me look at it. You
know it's sometimes it's difficult to determine whether or not I can fix it or not without looking at it, right.
And that's the most difficult part about our jobs is everybody wants us to, Hey, what's it going to cost me?
We don't know.
I got to look at it, you know. It's just
kind of like if you called your doctor and said, hey, listen, I've got this this this symptom, what's wrong with me?
Can you fix me? Well, a lot of times, most
of the time, the doctors can say, well, hey, I need you to come in. Let me, you know, maybe
do some blood work, maybe do some test right.
And and if your doctor's like, hey, you know, I can't fix you. You need to go to a specialist.
Maybe if you're you know, hey, my knees bother me, he tells you to come in.
He goes, hey, you need to go to a knee specialist, right, but at least bring it to me. Let me look
at it, and I'll shoot you straight, tell you the honest truth. And if I can't fix it, I will
point you in the right direction with somebody who can, you know, because I don't you know, we don't always have access to all of the software, all the tools but at Donovan's will always take a look at it, always give you an honest opinion, and and uh not just say hey, sorry, we can't help you out, you know, wipe our hands and send you down the road. No,
we'll give you advice as to who you could take it to. And so that's, you know, that's what I
like doing, you know, one of the things I like doing.

I have a nineteen eighty seven Chevrolet El Camino with about one hundred and nineteen thousand miles.
Wow, real, five four.
Barrel don't see many of those anymore.
It sticks in the garage.
Yeah, and when I park it, it reeks of gas.
No leaks nowhere, But I'm smelling gas not from the gas tank area, but from the engine area. And like
I said, it's no leaks anywhere. I didn't see anything
coming from the carburetor, but it's still reeks of gas.
Well wow, so so you don't see any guys, I mean, well, and you said it's obviously you said it's carbureted.
Right, correct, And so the evact I mean the little canister on the in front for the emissions. I've replaced that,
m h.
But I'm not sure if the if I'm getting some drips of gas in the four borough carburetor later on after it sits, But I don't see any signs of it being wet or anything like that, or really just coming from directly from the carburetor. But it's in that area.
And if you know that you're a car man, there's a whole bunch of of uh the mission stuff on that thing.
Well, I'll be honest with you, I have never I have never seen or worked I've seen them on the street, but I've never worked on an El Camino ever. Uh So.
Not the three oh five engine with the four barol No, they put.
Into Monte Carlos.
And yeah, no, I have year Okay, Yeah, I mean, I you know, be more than happy to look at it.
But you've got to have some type of rubber line or some type of You've got to so you don't smell it in the cabin.
You only smell it under the hood, correct, Okay. And
here's the other thing.
For a couple of days, the whole garage is stinking.
Uh.
Here's the other thing is carburetors were not you know, carburetors were a thing of the past when I got into this industry. So when it comes to carburetors too, man,
I am they were something of like I said, something of the past. So I don't have a a ton
of information or a ton of information I can help you with. I apologize, but it's got to be leaking somewhere.
But I mean, you know, again, I'd stated this earlier in the show.
But if I could look at it for you, be more happy to look at it see if we can try to determine where it's coming from. It's one of
those things where I'm just gonna have to look at it.
How many miles you said, having one hundred and twenty two thousand, nineteen.
Hundred nineteen okay? Did you buy it brand new?
Second owner?
Second owner? Okay? What colors is gray?
About forty thousand miles on it?
Is it gray or black? Or what color?
Is it white?
It's white white. I don't think I've ever.
Seen it's.
It has a twenty six options, so it's just like a supersport.
But the guy ordered it with all the options, and I guess he wanted to save some money and not put the super Sport label on it. But it came with,
like I said, twenty six options.
So so he didn't want the So it is a super Sport, it's just not tag or not.
Oh it's not.
I guess he didn't want to pay the up charge, but he got all the options when he ordered it. Yeah,
par everything, it's in sway barred, limited, flip differential.
And he rusted on it or anything. No, huh, what's
what's that thing worth? Nowadays?
I have no idea.
Somewhere probably in the ballpark of twelve to fifteen.
Maybe you just don't see many of them anymore, you know.
Yep, no, not at all. If you do the rust
it out.
Yeah I know, I know.
Well keep it, keep it in the garage, keep it clean, eye And I apologize.
I wish I would have been able to help you a little bit more.
But you've got some times you've got some type like you said, could be the carburetor itself, or you've got some type of I mean I would I would inspect.
You know, typically you're gonna have a feed line or return line.
They're gonna be metal, but it sounds like it's pretty much spent most of its life in a garage, so I doubt it's it's gonna it's gonna be a metal or a rusted outline. It's gonna be some type of
rubber hose that's failed and is leaking somewhere.
And typically.
When fuels leaking, it almost kind of looks like it has like a brown tint to it almost kind of looks like like rusty water.
But you're more than welcome to bring it to me.
I won't charge it. Let's just pop the hood and
see if we can try to determine where it's coming from.
You know, you're welcome to bring it by. I'll just
let's pop the hood. I'll take a look at it
for you. Like I said, I won't charge it, and
let's just try to figure out where it's coming from.

That was the thing when I got into this twenty five years ago. Carporators were a thing of the past,
and to be honest with you, I can't stand corporators.
They're such a headache, such a headache.
I remember when I was twenty one, I bought my first motorcycle and it was fuel injected, and that was like because I had had motorcycles in the past that were carbureted, and what a nightmare it just I mean, heck, I don't even I don't even like my leaf blower that I have as car Breid thing drives me nuts.
Fuel injections the way to go in my opinion. But
that might just be me talking because I'm forty and and uh didn't have to deal with it. So all

It's nice to watch, you know, you.
Know, you win some, you lose some, but he really really enjoys playing baseball. Golf's his favorite, but he loves
playing baseball. And he does really good job. And I'm
not just saying that because I'm his father, but he does a great job.
He's a catcher.
And you know, you can sit there and watch the Reds and the Bangles and all your professional teams are which is and I've failed to mention this, but you know it.
For me, this is the best week of the year.
It's the Masters.
I luckily had the opportunity back in twenty fifteen, had the opportunity.
To go, and.
You know, and you know I know that sometimes people say, oh, you know, golf's boring to watch, but man, if you're if you're a golfer, this is this is the super Bowl of golf, and it's the kickoff to the year.
And again, I was wearing my Masters shirt all week and I'm not wearing it right now, but yeah, great week to be out there and maybe, uh, if the course is try enough, maybe getting out there and swinging some clubs. But it's nothing's more enjoyable than being able
to watch your own kids play and win and have a good time.
So play with some friends.
Uh those are I know everybody goes, oh, you know, take it in now because it's going to go by fast, and I know that.
But it is fun and enjoyable.
It might be stressful from time to time where you're running all over the city because I was all the way up in Hamilton and I see it all the way up there, because you know, anything passed like five miles and I think it's a mission. You know, Tony
Bender lives just past the airport and I have to pass the rest area just to get to his house, and that's too far from me. So Hamilton, Hamilton, Danny
in fact, you know, my producer.
He was like, oh, you know, I live west of Hamilton.
I'm like, oh my god, felt like I was out of town being all the way up in Hamilton. But man,
they've done some tremendous job, tremendous work.
Up there, so very nice.
So all right, let's go back to the phones. We
have Susan. Hey, Susan, welcome to the car show.

Well, thank you for taking my call.
Absolutely, thank you for holden Well, that's right.
I have got a twenty fifteen Nissan Rogue. In October,
I had a rear tire that needs to replace, and I took it to Bob somerml tiprole A which I've had lots of work done there before. The tire had
to be replaced. They said I had to replace the
tire opposite of it too. Now I questioned it and
I said, do I not have to have all four tires replaced because I have all will drive? They told
me no, And I've had tire replace there in the past where we had to replace fall four. They told
me no, that only had to get the tire opposite of it replaced because in the rotation the two in the back would go to the front, the two in the front would go the back, and that the size difference wasn't that big a deal. So January I start
having this grinding sound. I thought it was my CVT transmission,
so I took it to the Nissan dealership and what had happened. My all wheel drive was out. I had
to replace my rear final drive assembly, had to get four new tires, and they said it was the damage done to different sized tires. There were two tires they said,
at ten and two tires at five, and then they were three different brands on it, so you know, and that was quite an expensive repair. So I went back
to the Triple A and they were very nice and said, you know, I think y'all made a mistake. I think
I would see if I can get some reimbursement for having to get this work done. They sent it to
Triple A Claims. About a month later the claims came back.
I did give Claims the number of my contact person at this on. This on was more than willing to
give every bit of information they could to the claims department, but they never did call this on. They denied the
claim saying that if it was their fault with the tires, that this damage would have happened immediately, not three months later.
They had no idea what I had done to my car and during that time, and that I shouldn't have taken it to the dealership and should have taken it back to the Triple A store. So my question is
would it have actually have taken happened immediately or it's that three month time an appropriate time to have this damage done to where I can try to challenge that client.
Great question, So absolutely I think and listen, we will always at Donovan's we always accept, you know, listen, it was their fault. Okay, if the back tires were at
ten thirty seconds in the front were at five thirty seconds, that's way too much of a difference. Two thirty seconds
is typically so if the back tires are at ten thirty seconds, that's the thickness of the tread. Those front
tires need to be at eight thirty seconds, So at.
Five at half that's too much.
So absolutely that's what caused the four wheel drive to go out.
Now, no, it's not. It does not necessarily mean it's
gonna happen right away. Every year making model is gonna
be a bit different.
But if it went out within three months of replacing those two tires, and I'm not listen, you know, I'm not picking on them or anything like that, but yes, I do believe that you have a very good gripe and have a good you know case against them in the sense that, yeah, those tires and listen, I've had this argument multiple times. People are like, well, why do
I need to do all four because you could ruin the four wheel drive, And no, it doesn't happen. It
doesn't necessarily mean it's gonna happen right away. It can
happen down the road, it can happen three months later.
So okay, And again, I I don't know anybody there, and I'm not picking on them, but I do believe that they were at fault, and you do have a good case, and I would I would try to pursue them to try to take care of you on that, because they really should do the right thing in my opinion, and so I would I would try to fight them on that.
Okay, I will do that, especially when I specifically asked, don't I need four tires?
Right?
Yeah, you were even helping them do their job and they still didn't. Uh right, Yeah, you did the right thing,
and you're doing the right thing.
And unfortunately, I do think that they're they're at fault, and it doesn't necess it does not mean that it's going to happen right away. Sometimes it does, sometimes it
does but in your case it didn't. It took some
time and three months later it went out. And if
the tires were the fronts.
Were at five thirty seconds and the rears were at ten mm hm, whoever was selling you those tires wasn't doing his job so or just didn't have the proper.
Knowledge, right, Yeah.
The dealership said that, you know, the deficit can't be any more than three.
Yeah, and and well that's why I even I'm even kind of conservative, and that's why I'm saying like two two thirty seconds is so you know, a brand new tire is typically ten thirty seconds, and that's again the thickness of the tread. You don't want to go Most
manufacturers don't want you to go any less than two.
So at eight thirty seconds, So the fact that those were at five thirty seconds, that's a massive difference. And
those front tires should have been replaced as well with the backs. Okay, So I do think that you have
a case, and I do think that they're at fault.
Okay, Well, thank you. And when I talked to the
claims department, the last thing they said is there and I asked this, there any way that I can appeal this and they said no, it's shut. So I guess
my next step, but I.
Have to get a lawyer.
Yeah, and just do small claims court, right, right, do small claims. All right, Well, good luck to you. I'm
sorry you have to go through that. That's that's such
a headache. I'm sorry you have to go through that.
But you're doing the right thing and I do think that you do have a good case and they are at fault.
So okay, well, thank you so much.

So yeah, it's it's important that you have the right people in place to to to sell tires. I mean
nowadays you could think that, oh hell, anybody can just sell tires. I don't know if the car's got all
wheel drive. Again, two thirty seconds is typically the difference
that you can see that you have to be. So
if you come in to Donovan's or any other repayer shop and you've got a low tire and they say you need one, you come in there, you're like, well, I just have a slow leak in one tire and they're like, hey, you can't be fixed.
You need four. You're like what are you talking about?
What do I need for?
If your car is all time, all wheel drive, all the tires have to be the same tread thickness because otherwise you'll burn up.
You're all wheel drive. So so hey, listen, Rick Steve.
