The Mazda CX-90 is a bigger SUV made by Mazda. The podcast is talking about it in terms of main points, like what stands out to the speakers. That usually means it’s being considered for everyday use and family needs.
An off-roading experience is when you drive a vehicle on dirt trails or rough terrain with some guidance. It’s meant to show how the car handles things like bumps and mud, not just normal streets.
The Ford Bronco is an SUV made for driving on rough roads and trails. It’s built to handle off-road conditions better than a typical family car. That’s why it’s a good choice for an off-roading experience.
Body-on-frame means the car’s outer body sits on a separate metal frame underneath. Trucks and off-road SUVs use this because it’s strong and can handle rough use better than some unibody designs.
A hybrid powertrain means the car uses both a gas engine and an electric motor. They’re saying their new platform can be built with either a V6 or a hybrid version.
A V6 is an engine with six cylinders arranged in a V shape. They’re saying their new SUV/truck platform will use the same V6 engine across different models.
The Nissan Pathfinder is referenced as one of the host’s favorite Nissan models, tying into the broader Nissan lineup discussion. In this segment, it’s used to reinforce that Nissan’s upcoming rugged SUV strategy is aimed at fans who already like the Pathfinder’s role as a family-oriented SUV.
The Nissan Quest is a minivan made by Nissan. Minivans are usually built for families, with lots of space for passengers and easy access to the back seats.
The Nissan Xterra is an SUV that’s known for a more rugged, outdoorsy vibe. The hosts are wondering whether it had extra seating for a third row or stayed with two rows.
A “midsize car” is a medium-sized sedan—bigger than a small/compact car, but not as big as a full-size one. People use the term to compare cars that are similar in size and usually similar in safety testing.
IHS is a company that helps evaluate cars, including safety information. Here, the host is saying the car they’re recommending also scored well in those safety evaluations.
The Toyota Camry is a very common medium-size car. The hosts list it as a good option for a teen, using the same midsize/safety logic they’re applying to other cars.
The Nissan Altima is a common, practical medium-size car. The hosts mention it as a good option for a teen, partly because it fits the midsize category they’re discussing.
The Nissan 200 SX is a smaller, sporty car. In the podcast, it’s mentioned as one of several specific models in a list. That usually means it’s being used for comparison or to set the scene for what vehicles are being talked about.
The Subaru Outback is a versatile crossover that feels more like a wagon. The host says to look for ones built after 2019, likely because newer models have better safety and features.
The Ford Explorer is a midsize SUV that works well for families. The host suggests getting one built after 2020, likely to match their preference for newer safety and equipment.
The Ford Ranger is a pickup truck that’s not as big as some trucks. The speaker is listing it as another possible option for a teen who might get a small truck.
The GMC Canyon is a pickup truck. It’s a “middle-sized” truck that’s useful for carrying stuff, and the speaker is considering it as a possible teen vehicle.
The Mazda CX-5 is a compact SUV. The speaker is considering it because they think it has good safety results and they like the tech and how it feels compared with other options.
Crash tests are experiments that check how safe a car is in accidents. The speaker is saying the test results are strong, so they feel confident recommending that car.
The Hyundai i20 is a small, everyday car. In the podcast, it’s mentioned alongside personal life details rather than car features. That usually means it’s being referenced as a normal part of someone’s routine.
LIVE
Welcome to the Carpool podcast with Kelly.
Like he's been dribbling up and down our hill,
like he's dribbling, dribbling, dribbling.
We don't have a basketball hoop.
He currently just tries to throw the basketball
and hit the branch of the tree in our yard.
And Liz.
After we, like, ripped on vibration plates
and then you just need to go, like, jump in a circle,
we then got an offer to do an ad for vibration plates
on the podcast.
Your mom time off starts now.
Welcome back to the Carpool podcast with Kelly.
And Liz.
And this is your last Friday episode for a while.
Yeah.
It pains me more than it probably pains you.
I love the podcast.
Me too.
But we have to make the most out of this weather
and we have to just be batching all outdoor car
content as possible.
Not because of the weather, but because we've
got a deadline as well of a baby.
Although Tyler's been doing a great job at filming your tours.
I know.
He is very, it's very interesting.
He's a lot more coachable than he ever has been.
There was years where like you couldn't tell him anything
and now he's just like so he's softened.
Do you think he's softened or the way you ask things
has changed?
Have you learned how to approach him?
No, I think he has softened.
I think I've learned other things on how to be married
to somebody like I've made major improvements.
Sure.
I think we can always be improving.
Well, that's what I'm saying.
You can always be improving and I like to always be improving.
I really are.
We are in like we are in a real like we've just we've grown a lot
and we've grown a lot together, which has been fun.
But like the reasons I love him now, this is like so annoying
that it's turned into like a Tyler Love podcast.
But the reasons I love him now are not the reasons I loved him
when I got married to him.
Do you know what I mean?
Totally.
And you just unfortunately like you just don't know when you get married
like what's important to you and what you like the life
experiences you've had just like it's you do choose the right person.
But there is a level of it that does kind of feel like luck.
Like, you know, those reels that are like when you're when you're postpartum,
it will matter who you married.
And you're like, yeah, I like wasn't considering, you know, having to have
someone like change a pad for me like when I was getting married.
Like that wasn't top of mind.
Well, in kind of like a hot take that I have is I don't believe in soulmates
or I don't believe that like I actually think this and this is crazy to say,
but I actually think I could have a successful marriage
with a lot of people in this world.
But like I chose Tyler Tyler chose me, but I do think it's about I think
a marriage is about how hard you work at that marriage.
Not always about love, obviously.
Totally.
You know.
Now, I'm like randomly on like the marriage side of Instagram right now.
Like I like watched one reel too long and now I'm getting fed like.
Yeah.
Ways to improve.
OK, go ahead.
Your marriage.
And no, I'm just like I'm really liking it.
Like I have a wonderful marriage and Maddie and I have a great relationship.
But because it's the most important relationship in my life, I'm like,
yeah, what what are the people saying?
Like how can I improve?
Like how can I better?
Like I don't want to get stuck in a in a rut where I just feel like
well, we're in, you know, we're married and we're in love.
And like I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing.
Like no, like how can I approach things differently or do things
differently or respect him differently and will that?
Like I'm just I'm having fun challenging myself in my marriage
and trying just to like love and respect Maddie and new in different ways.
And I'm like taking my marriage really seriously.
That's so good to hear.
I think it's important to take your marriage seriously.
And you know what is very interesting about marriage?
And I was talking to a friend about this and we were just because I'm not,
you know, you always hear the advice like don't talk bad about your husband
or other people, blah, blah, blah, blah.
But I do think sometimes it is OK to talk about how hard it is to be married
sometimes, because there's so much support for your hard mom days.
And like if I hear a mom complain about her hard mom day,
I never once for a second think she doesn't love her children.
So like or she's a bad mom or she's I don't know.
But like there is a level of, you know, sometimes when you hear
someone complain about their husband, you know, I'm using this all lightly.
Complained about also the marriage, because the marriage is a hard thing to do.
You're really like, oh, they're headed for the war.
It's just like that's so true.
That's such a jump.
And I just I would like to see more support for.
That marriage is hard sometimes.
Yeah, totally. You know what I mean?
So I just want you guys to know my marriage is hard sometimes,
as is probably all of yours.
But it is up with you.
It is wonderful.
I actually I at one point ended up on like the overly marriage side of
TikTok and or Instagram or TikTok and I actually didn't like where I was
because then it was all this like comparisons when it was like
people saying, you know, here's what my husband does.
Or like, here's how to be like a godly husband or blah, blah, blah.
And then I would just compare the things that I wasn't doing or Tyler wasn't doing.
And I didn't always love that.
But those were just a couple of toxic reels that I saw, I guess.
Yeah, no, I don't know how I've kind of ended up on just like the perfect
curated side of just like.
Good for you.
You know, not trying to just do everything like I'm very much like
just trying to do everything all the time and like not ask for help.
And it's like maybe if I did ask for help or give things to
or like give up control of things, then I would be happier and my husband would
be happier and my husband would, you know, like every everything is better.
And I'm just like, I don't know, it's just been it's been really nice.
And I'm just excited.
I'm just having fun with like taking my marriage in a very like serious way.
So that's like something that I'm doing.
You know, one piece of content that I hate, hmm.
It's when it's like a trend and it's these women being like
me on a Tuesday at home goes because I married a provider.
It's like I didn't marry a loser.
Like what an unhappy mean.
You're a mean girl.
You're a mean, mean, you're a bully.
Yeah, like like that's just such and there's a way you could say
so thankful that I'm able to do this.
Like you should say that instead of like it's some girl's fault
because her husband because there are two income household like you're insane.
It's very mean. It's very unhinged.
It's like and you're right.
Like it's it's it's look at me.
I'm better than you.
It's look at me.
And it's not it's just like it's I saw this one the other day that was like,
hey, if you're if you have to have an income,
if you have a two income household, that doesn't mean your husband's a loser.
I'm like, I can't believe someone literally had to make an Instagram to post that.
But I knew exactly what why she posted it. Yeah.
Yeah, that's really mean girl.
And if you ever made that, like that's fine.
And I don't think you're a mean person.
But I think that was mean.
And I think you should probably delete it.
I think you should just like maybe like you could just like rephrase it.
You can rephrase it and like there is there is something beautiful.
And I mean, it's beautiful when moms can stay home and when the husband provides
like that is that is beautiful.
But I like the ones that are like, you're so lucky, you're going to stay home.
And then it's like the luck and it's like him working so hard or yeah, I'm good with those.
There's like not like direct attacks on other people's lives or other people's husband.
It's not like calling someone else's husband a loser because you work too.
Like that's so crazy.
I know touch grass.
Yeah.
OK, what other big topics can we cover?
We covered marriage.
I have some new thoughts on AI if anyone's interested in hearing.
OK, sure.
I think I like a lot of things about AI and I'm just not going to be.
I just refuse to not be optimistic about the world because I have four children in it.
So I just refuse to ever be like so cynical about where the world's going.
So I'm going to keep this like surface level.
But I do think social media is going to go through a really.
I think people are going to get over it in a major way because I'm now being served
all these like ways I can use social media for the car mom better.
And these people literally want me to like scan my face and then I can record
content with no makeup and their AI will put their AI generator will put makeup
on me and put clothes on me.
And I'm just like.
How did we?
People aren't going to like that.
And I people are going to get over that so fast.
They're going to get over it so fast.
If you want to know how one of the ways to be successful in social media,
it's to be authentic.
You know what the least authentic thing in the world is?
Artificial intelligence.
Any time I see a real I can immediately clock it when it's like some new
AI creator, I roll my eyes, I click on their profile and I'm like,
you people have this, you have this and people following you.
Or I'll read the comments and the comments can't tell its AI.
And I'm like, everyone is so dumb.
Like, wake up.
You can always tell.
You can always tell.
And if you can't tell, you need to figure it out.
No, I have no patience for it.
I have I will have no interest in ever following an AI creator.
Because why would I?
Or even creators who like use AI overly, too much.
I'm telling you, I actually think it's going to be good for our business
because we've always stood out for being authentic.
And now we're just going to like rise the top even more.
I'm good with AI as a tool, like interior designers.
I want to see your AI.
I want to see your AI renderings.
If like that girl who made those outfits for you, she like clearly
she used AI.
That was that was a good visual.
Like as a tool and as a visual, not as a whole dang thing.
I'm not like I have no.
You know, I like using it for like it's been so helpful for us
so I can upload one of my YouTube videos.
It can read the transcript and then I can say, OK, pull out my three main points
that I had on the Mazda CX 90.
And like then I could make a real like I like all of that.
I just think once it starts.
We're releasing a human.
It gets like a little.
Yeah, I don't I mean, I have no.
Sorry, my word is dumb.
This is dumb.
It's not. This is dumb.
And also it's like who's behind it?
Like some guy on a computer screen is like behind this
like gorgeous Instagram model.
Like it's not real.
It's dumb and I don't like it.
So I I agree with you.
I'm good with it as a tool and I think that I would like to give more credit
to people of just like being smarter and like not falling for it
and just like not letting it take over.
Yeah. So.
What do I know?
Well, we know a lot and it was so funny because the other day I called
Liz and I'm like, hey, what's our YouTube blog?
And I'm going to try this new AI tool to do video editing.
And it actually was the thing was it was pretty cool.
But it just like was so it just was so AI.
Do you know what I mean?
It's just AI.
AI, it's going to the thing with social media, people don't understand is
like it's to the point where I think views are like one of my lowest metrics.
Like I don't give a rip about how many followers you have or how many views you have.
I literally care about what kind of community you have.
And we have always prioritized our community.
And that's sorry, if you want to talk business, that's where the money is that you have to have.
They're not these platforms aren't paying what they used to for views.
They're just not. We used to like do way better on YouTube.
I used to be making so much money a month on my Instagram reels.
Now I'm literally make like two or 300 dollars a month on my Instagram reels.
And I was making thousands at one point.
Yeah. So like that's and I'm not getting less views.
They're just like over the they're just prioritizing less and less.
I think because more creators now are people that ever are making this content.
But it's all about your community.
Agreed. Luckily, we're out there.
No, and like we really do.
And people don't talk about that enough.
Well, we talk about it a lot.
But group is like such as like I love that place.
It's a safe place.
I can't believe for being like a car reviewer channel, how amazing our community is.
I know. It's like so random.
And people like stay around it.
It's just like I'm so grateful.
And I just I'm just really proud of what we've built.
And when I say we, I mean all of us because the compliments,
like I love when I get invited to an event and like a major manufacturer will come to me.
And like they're not complimenting me.
They're complimenting all of you because they know that we are all
engaged and in tune and like we are all expecting certain things.
It's like really interesting that we're kind of like a force.
Well, and like I like still talk to my sleep trainer.
People ask me her name all the time.
It's Marley, Molly, Tartel, Tartelogia.
I can never say her name.
I'm sorry, Molly.
Anyway, so I send her her name to people all the time in my DMs
and she will tell me like the people who you refer told me that they found you through.
You are the nicest people to work with.
And I'm like, what a compliment.
I it's like I hear that all the time too.
And it's like I'm as proud as like someone complimented my children.
I'm like, yeah, no, they're great.
Like I don't even know who it is.
No, yeah, Jen, she's great.
I know, I don't even need to know much about her.
Yeah, so just so thankful for all of you.
OK, so tomorrow, a.k.a.
So interesting because the time this podcast comes out, I will already be back.
But I'm going to Vegas for less than 24 hours for 24 hours.
That's so crazy.
I know I kind of we were going to stay two nights, but
it's just too much with the auto show coming out.
And so I am going on.
I guess I can talk about it because he will.
I've already known by the time and he doesn't listen to the podcast.
You kind of talked about it on the podcast already.
OK, did I? Yeah.
OK, well, he hasn't said anything.
So I'm surprising Tyler with a Bronco off-roading experience.
This is actually really cool.
So for me, like, do you want to come on this Bronco off-roading thing?
I'm like, what is this?
So they have like five locations all around the country
and you literally just go for a day or a half day experience.
So if you're a Bronco owner, I think it might be included in your Bronco purchase.
I don't know, though.
But even if you're not, you can just pay to do like this half day pass
and you drive a Bronco like it's intended to be driven like off-roading.
Like I have to wear long pants and hiking boots.
They said, we'll get muddy, like, cool.
And I was like, Tyler is going to love this.
Like, this is so going to be so fun for him.
And I kind of wanted to like, I don't know, he always surprised me.
I never surprised him.
So I told him that I have a speaking engagement in Vegas
and like, Liz can't go.
So like, I need him to go with me.
And he's like excited because, you know, it's a day away from the kids
and we get to go to Vegas for 24 hours.
But he thinks we're just going to like go to a stuffy panel.
He's going to hear to speech. He's heard a hundred times for me.
And I'm trying to figure out when to tell him.
OK, first of all, before you go any further,
can I just like tell you I need to write this down right now?
Bring your freaking glasses, your AI glass or your.
Oh, that's no glasses.
So you can film this stuff.
Bring that a glasses.
I'm going to write that down because that would be fun for him to wear.
I assume he's going to be doing the driving or for you as the passenger
to like get his reactions and stuff.
Yeah, I have it's so funny.
I don't have a huge desire to drive.
I have a huge because I will be anxious about it.
But I if Tyler's driving, I will trust Tyler wholeheartedly
and I will just have fun.
Yeah, I think you should let Tyler drive for sure.
Pastor Princess it.
Totally. And I got to fill someone's got to make the content.
But anyway, I feel like this would be such a fun.
I mean, I haven't done it yet, so I'll give my full recap.
But I feel like this would be such a fun couples trip.
Like Kate from Kitchen was just talking about the importance
of making core memories with your husband.
So it's like such a marriage podcast today.
I know this is just a marriage podcast.
But yeah, so I hope we make like a real core memory.
No, I love that.
And then after that, so it's like a four hour thing.
We come back from the base camp.
We go back to our hotel and I made a matinee,
made us a dinner reservation at a sushi restaurant.
Tyler loves sushi.
Tyler loves sushi.
And I actually haven't had sushi since my last reaction
and like a formal capacity.
But I have had tuna and salmon and and sushi actually one time.
So I know I'm fine and I'm feeling comfortable enough to indulge.
A nice sushi restaurant in Vegas.
That's going to be a hefty bill.
I've seen how much sushi your sushi, your husband can put down.
I know Tyler's more of like a $12 all you can eat.
I know, maybe I'll have some chopsticks.
You know what I mean?
I'd bring him a snack.
I'm definitely going to have to bring him like just some.
It's like this is like to taste and enjoy like you can't get full
or like order a side of rice.
You know what I mean?
I get like a tear.
They like do they have a teriyaki chicken?
Sure, probably.
Yeah, you're right. No, he cannot.
Tyler cannot.
We'll bankroll us if he just tries to fill up on sushi.
That's what I'm saying.
I've seen it's shocking.
What Kelly and I can split because Kelly and I would always split.
When we would get sushi, like Tyler would eat that entire thing.
And then our leftovers that we did.
I know when we used to get sushi a lot, he'd sit down and be like,
sort of like six or seven rolls.
I'm like, Tyler, there's two.
And he will put it down.
No, it's shocking.
He's so shocking.
Well, that'll be so fun.
I'm excited for you guys.
And then you get back and it's auto show week, which is so exciting.
I am a little less stressed than I was on the previous podcast.
And I'm more just excited at the moment.
Me too.
OK, good.
That's where I'm at as well.
So yeah, it's like we've made progress on that.
Yeah.
Today's episode is brought to you by Quints.
Summer always makes me rethink what I'm reaching for every day.
Lighter fabrics, better materials and pieces that just feel good.
Okay, but I think today we're going to do our last three because I have some
fun summer related things that I've bought and I have a Good Fathers Day
gift that I just bought.
Okay.
So things to share, things to share.
Okay.
That's, that's good.
I would love to know what your father's day, your father's day gifts as well.
Um, yeah, I have been transacting a lot.
I'm trying to think about, you can go first because I got to think
about what's like most relevant.
So now it's time for our last three transactions where we share our
recent bank accounts subtractions.
And I am slightly trying to brainwash seems like the wrong word.
Um, I would like love one of my kids to play basketball.
I like basketball and my kids are going to be tall.
And like, I just think it's a fun sport.
So George is a basketball camp this past week and he actually improved a lot.
Like I was actually really impressed with his dribbling and he's been dribbling
all around the yard.
Like he's been dribbling up and down our hill.
Like he's dribbling, dribbling, dribbling.
We don't have a basketball hoop.
He currently just tries to throw the basketball and hit the branch of the
tree in our yard.
Oh, so funny.
So tell her and I were like, we need a basketball hoop.
So we bought a basketball hoop.
Wow.
I know.
That's huge.
I'm really excited.
It's again, and it's another thing to go do.
So it's like, get outside and shoot 10 baskets and then come back inside.
I love giving my kids, um, those kind of tasks.
Like when they're, when they're mouthing off, like I don't do time out.
I don't really do dental parenting.
I say run to the end of the driveway and back.
I like a little physical movement to kind of reset everybody.
So I think this basketball hoop will kind of give us that.
It's one, it's adjustable so we can like start at the eight foot, go up to the
10 foot and really, really excited.
We played basketball all the time in the yard growing.
We played pig.
We played around the old like it's just, it's something to do.
And it's, and it's fun.
Matt, I bought Maddie a basketball hoop for like Father's Day or something.
Um, a couple of years ago and we don't play really that much.
But when we do, like we're making memories.
We're like laughing out loud.
Like we're cackling, like so much fun to just like shoot hoops.
Okay.
Something that I recently bought.
I was having a bit of a mental breakdown on just everything coming up
and like with the baby and I was just very much feeling like I'm not prepared
and like I need to be doing something to get the baby ready.
So, um, Maddie and I, like it's, it's, it's really weird this time around
just because I don't have like a spare bedroom to be putting all the baby
stuff in or to be working on her clothes.
Like it's, it's, we have, have a four bedroom house, but
one of the bedrooms is my office and I'm not ready to move my office.
So we decided we're going to put our, um, dresser and changing table in the
hallway right outside our bedroom because I don't want to wake the kids in the
middle night, like a baby needs a clothing change.
Like at literally all times of the day.
Um, and I'm not trying to mess up with my other kids sleep.
So I did a poll on my Instagram and everyone voted on my dresser and art.
And I ordered, um, a new dresser and a new piece of art to go in my hallway.
And it's going to, I think it's actually going to be really pretty, but it's
also going to be functional as a dresser and changing table.
So fun.
Very excited about it.
And like once that gets in, I'm going to have Maddie build it.
And then I'm going to be able to like put all of her clothes away.
And I will feel like I'm, I'm doing something to prepare for this movie.
I'm like having a lot of anxiety about, about it.
Yeah.
Liz has called me kind of in a panic the other day.
Yeah.
And I said, well, bury it for two more weeks.
And then we'll talk about it for sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think you're, I think that's going to be a good use of the space.
Um, I mean, I honestly have my kids clothes in all sorts of unconventional
places and I like it that way.
Sorry.
Like it just, it's just what works.
Well, you just have to think about what works and, and really like having it,
having a dresser in another one of my kids bedrooms was not going to work.
Yeah.
So I had to have it in a place that like I could access.
Yeah.
In the middle of the night when my other kids are asleep, because like I like to
wake up, I like, I like to stand up.
I like to change them at the changing table because it kind of wakes me up a
little bit more than just like in the bed, like whatever.
So anyway, that's why I ordered.
Okay.
That's a good one.
I can't wait to see it come in.
We are up.
So it's going on the basketball line.
We recently inquired one of our old neighbors, trampolines and sorry, I love a
trampoline.
We don't like the little kids on it, but like the big kids again, wears them out.
Like so fun wears them out.
And I told you guys, I've been bouncing on the trampoline because I don't believe
in a vibration plate.
I just do 10 bounces on the trampoline and I think it does the same thing.
And it's so much more fun.
And I'm kind of thinking of like, okay, how can I like, just up the tramp a
little bit, you know, can I say one thing about vibration plates?
Everyone knows that we are authentic girls.
Yeah.
After we like ripped on vibration plates and that you just need to go like jump
in a circle, um, we then got an offer to do an ad for vibration plates on the
podcast.
And I was like, oh, shoot, I got to turn this one down.
So I said, no.
So authentic.
Yeah, I do think variable plates are kind of wasted money.
Also just like, are you serious?
Like you're going to store that in your house, like jump.
I don't know.
I don't know anything about this.
I don't know anything about them, but I was like, well, I'm not going to,
we're not going to do this.
So anyway, I'm trying to think like, how can I just up the trampoline?
So I recently bought lights and a basketball hoop that connected with
trampoline.
So like two basketball hoops.
Yeah.
We do.
Oh, we will.
So your last two or your last transaction is a basketball hoop.
Like I said, I'm trying to brainwash.
No, but this model of the trampoline looks cool.
You just hook it to the net and then it comes with like some softer balls.
I think the kids will think it's fun.
No, I agree.
And then I bought these LED lights, which I was going to hate.
He's going to complain every time I tell him to put them up.
Um, but they like go around the perimeter of the trampoline.
And then like at night, if they send them out there, like the lights
will be changing colors on their trampoline.
Like I think it sounds fun.
It's fun.
It's fun.
It keeps them out there longer.
And it keeps.
And that's what I'm saying.
I'm always looking to keep them out there longer.
And I kind of, did I share my popsicle theory on the last episode?
I did, right?
I think so.
Yeah.
How mom would give us three popsicles a day, but like find a popsicle.
There's so many like very clean popsicles on the market.
But the point with popsicles is they have to eat them outside.
And I more times than not, if you send them on the porch to a popsicle,
it's like if you give them mouse a muffin, if you send them out,
move some muffin, mouse a cookie, doesn't matter.
Dog a donut.
If you send them outside with a popsicle, the next thing you know,
they like see a bug or like them, they go there and they might not be out there
for an hour, but if they were out there for an extra 15 minutes, a W.
And if you go, they eat it outside, it usually melts.
Yeah, as well.
Okay, let's see.
What else did I, what else have I bought?
I got a new.
I got some.
This is so boring.
I got, I got headphones.
We're going to the air show.
OK, you need to do this.
We're going to the St. Louis Chesterfield air show this weekend.
Very exciting.
Going to be so loud.
So bought my kids some hearing protection.
All families on and I do feel like maybe Tyler should run to the farm
and grab your kids some hearing protection if you guys are coming.
We have some.
OK, I've never been to an air show.
I don't really know what to expect.
Haven't been to the air show looking forward to it.
I do live like just a few miles from the air show.
So I do think my house is going to be like miserable to be at all weekend.
But you think I just think it's I mean, it's really loud.
Just like being by this airport last year.
No, it's every two.
It hasn't happened since I've moved here.
It's it's every like two years.
Oh, that is interesting.
And it already passed before we moved into the house like the first year.
And so this is our second.
I'm a little worried about like the parking situation and everything.
I know, I just like I don't know what to expect.
I know.
Sometimes like I hate like really like large events like this, you know,
me too. I know. I hate parking.
I hate like parking.
I know. It's just that really, I know.
OK, my last go ahead.
Nothing, you go ahead.
OK, so my last transaction is I thought it was be like a fun
Father's Day gift.
And I've always wanted one of these.
Again, something to keep my kids outside more.
The theme of my first three is outside.
You know, at a bar where they have those wood things that have a string
and a ring on it, I bought one for the barn.
It's a good idea.
I thought it was a good idea, too.
Now, I don't know how I'm going to hang it because.
I don't want the kids like break it.
Like, I don't know if it's like a kid thing or I could just picture.
Tyler, he's he's always talking on the phone.
He's up at the barn.
He's drinking a beer on the phone and he's just doing the ring thing.
I thought it'd be fun.
I thought he would enjoy it.
So I actually kind of bought it for him.
But then, you know, and then I feel like when anyone comes over,
they like do the ring thing at our house and it's like the kids are making
a competition, we've got like a stool for the kids to stand on.
Again, I'm just trying to make my outside the happen in place
because my house cannot take the wear and tear of the summer.
Also, like what a flex if your kids can just like really kind of hack it.
And then when they go when they're like in their 20s and they go to a bar
and there's one of those things and they're like so good.
It's like playing darts.
Yeah, you're like so good at it.
So isn't that kind of a good idea?
No, it's yeah, that's anyone could get that.
Like just buy it and put it in your garage or put it like in your deck
or on your deck or something.
Even in your basement, it doesn't have to be.
Or your basement, totally.
You could literally go so out of the way, like when you're not using it.
It's so out of the way when you're not using it.
That's the classic ring games.
Great for game rooms, patios, home bars and more.
Some of these things that you do, Kelly, I just like,
I don't know when you have time to think of these things.
Yeah, I got a lot of just a lot going on in your brain.
Yeah, I don't know at all times.
I think it's like a distraction mechanism.
Sure.
Yeah, like you don't want to face like the pressing things.
You're like, hmm, classic ring game.
Well, and Tyler's always like, if I have a stressful day, he's I'm like,
I'm just I'm having a stressful day.
He's like, OK, well, like go sit down.
I'm like, no, I'm going to cook.
I'm going to cook dinner.
He's like, why?
And I'm like, because that's how I want to relax.
Yeah, yeah.
Your judgment's not helping.
And very overwhelmed.
It's time to get the KitchenAid mixer out and make banana bread.
I'm like, I'm very overwhelmed.
That's me. I'm planning before we leave.
I I was like, leave my family with a casserole.
It's just kind of like my new thing,
because one, a casserole, a casserole chicken pot pie.
Like I like making one of a favorite comfort meal.
That's also really good to send to like the grandparents' houses
the next day for like lunches or whatever.
Oh, my gosh, and I have a huge development.
I haven't even told you this yet.
George likes cheese again.
Oh, what brought that on?
So if you guys I don't know if I've told this a lot,
but George one day just like started hating cheese
to the point where it's like I couldn't even make a baked ziti
because it had cheese in it.
He if he got pizza, he would rip off all of the cheese,
put the toppings back on and eat the crust and the pizza.
Like it was it was really starting to like annoy me, to be honest.
And it was like, Jesus, good.
Like how do you just like not like cheese?
And I also I'm not used to this because I don't have picky eaters.
My kids are all great eaters, so I'm like annoyed.
And then one day my mother-in-law came over and she was making
she brought us dinner and she made homemade pizzas.
And then we she was like making them in the oven.
And she had brought all these different kinds of cheeses.
And she's like, George, do you hate all cheeses?
Like, let's do a cheese taste test.
And George is adventurous enough to try things still.
So she had all the little cheeses and she put them all in little piles
and he taste tested them.
He's like, oh, I like that one. one because he likes cheese
because he's crazy.
Because, you know, nobody does like he likes Doritos and cheeses.
He's always liked those.
Yeah, he was just going through.
And so then he like got a little I would say like, you know, cheese curious.
He's like, oh, that's pretty good.
Like, I kind of like that.
Um, and then we ordered pizza and he goes, I want cheese pizza.
And now we will now as her pizza is just cheese pizza.
So that's the scenic route to tell you what I'm making for dinner tonight.
Cheese pizza. No. Oh, I said I was making a casserole.
Sorry. This is such a classic casserole that I haven't made in forever.
And it is chicken.
Broccoli, cheese, casserole.
Yeah, it's a great flavor profile.
And like my favorite castor rolls all include rice, a Rony.
Sorry, it's the Midwestern enemy.
So I get a midway, rice, a Rony for cheese.
I get sour cream, cream of chicken, like classic casserole staples.
Chicken, a bag of frozen broccoli, mix it all together, top it with
freshly grated cheddar cheese, pop it in the oven. So good.
It sounds so good.
It is so good.
So that's what I'm making for supper tonight.
And it's going to the crowd is going to go wild.
That that always feels good when you just like, no, it's going to be a home run.
Then it's like worth the time as well.
Yeah, that's one of the things I do to like help my mom guilt when I'm traveling.
I actually have a couple of tips.
I was going to make it real about it, but then it just like didn't turn out that good.
But my main tips for traveling is when you have to travel for work.
One, I just to help my mom guilt, I like to make a great meal before I leave in a
great meal when I come home.
So I just like know that I'm going to serve my family before I leave before I
come home and I plan those out ahead of times, you know, just makes me feel better.
The other thing I do is I actually stopped over planning their schedule
because then if something didn't go to schedule, it felt like no one was listening
or it was a failure and it was just like, and I'm not there to like know what the
vibes are. Like maybe the vibes weren't that the kids needed to go to his parents'
house by 9 a.m. because that's the time that I said, yeah, you know, yeah.
So when I like stopped planning it, I stopped planning out every single second
of it or, you know, I'd say, and then I'm going to try to have this person come
over to like play with the kids so like you can get a break.
And it's like, I'm done. We're done.
Yeah, I think I think that's like one of those things where we're trying to be
helpful by planning these things out, whereas really you're not giving this is
maybe my marriage, my marriage Instagram that I'm seeing, but then like you're
not giving if your husband's staying back or whoever, like you're not giving them
any freedom or opportunity or moment to like step up and like do it themselves.
Like they're perfectly capable.
You're just you're trying to be helpful, but sometimes it's that's not helpful.
Well, and then if something goes wrong, then it's, oh, you didn't stick to my schedule.
And so it's like, oh, we decided to do that.
Sounds fun. So I have just really stopped playing stuff out.
And I also stopped calling the kids at night.
Like that's the biggest thing I used to call and say good night.
That's so stupid because then they're sad.
And then you're in a hotel room by yourself.
Sad. Call them in the morning.
Yeah. Call them in the morning or call them like right when they get home from school.
Do not call at bedtime. Horrible idea.
Yeah. So that's not on that.
OK, well, my last last transaction because we're still we're still.
Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.
Yeah, we actually know it's fine.
You know, I in order to feel a little bit better,
like to make forward motion on this baby coming, I ordered some new baby bottles.
I don't keep baby bottles from previous babies.
Something about me, they always end up like the the ounces has faded.
I don't know how many ounces are in it.
And like, I need to know how many ounces are in it when it's like a baby.
So I at least was Sloan.
Maybe I kept them from James to Sloan.
And by the time I was done with Sloan, I'm like, these I have one bottle left.
And then we put cottage cheese in it for real.
So anyway, I ordered two different kinds of baby bottles.
I'm doing the glass baby bottles, which is like so that's so you.
You're like so it's so 2026 is what it is.
Totally wouldn't have considered a glass baby bottle in 2023 when I had James.
But I got Tommy Tippi and Dr.
Brown's glass baby bottles.
Why? Just like you're just seeing because I do think that like some
babies take to them differently.
I like to have two different options just to see which one she'll like more.
Because it's like it came in a two pack and a three pack.
So if she ends up taking to one more than
the ones that pie in the future, I'll go that brand.
I don't know.
I just kind of felt like there was a vibe to get two different types
and those came in and I was able to breathe a little bit easier.
I like it.
OK, well, good job, Beeps.
Proud of you.
Thanks. Thanks, thanks, thanks.
Oh, and also I didn't say this about the art that I ordered,
but the art that I ordered is from Etsy.
And I saw I want to get I literally want to buy that print.
I loved it. Yeah.
So here's what I did.
Let me tell you what I did and if it hasn't come in yet.
But I saw this girl on Instagram talking about
how she doesn't like to buy art from like home goods and what she
she's like an interior designer.
She's like what I would do is I would try and find art online on like Etsy
that like actually speaks to you and it's not just like what's available at home goods.
So I was like, OK, I'll do that.
So I found a print that I thought was really cute
and it was $16 for the digital download, got the digital download.
Then I went to this website called Canvas Pop.
Don't know how it don't know the quality yet, but I wanted it.
And I wanted it in a framed canvas and I wanted it to be big.
It's 24 by 24.
Uploaded my print.
I was able to pick out the frame.
They had like seven different frame options.
I went with gold and when I checked out, it was $123,
which so all in for this custom kind of custom like print that I actually love.
That's 24 by 24.
I'm like 100 and forty dollars in on it,
which is more expensive probably than what I would get at home goods.
But I don't think it's that much more expensive than what I would get at home goods.
I don't think so.
We are not that size and you love that size.
And that's what I'm saying.
Like it's not just like, oh, what was available.
It's like I got to pick from all of this girls digital download.
Like this is the one that I like.
This is the one that matches the colors.
This is the one that I could see in multiple places in my home.
And I felt like it was a pretty good investment.
So that was my process.
So we'll see how it turns out.
I'm really hoping it turns out well.
But like is the download you bought can go to that size?
Like it's got the pixels or whatever.
Yeah. Yeah.
I know problem.
I think it's going to be a print.
But I got no like pushback from the website of like this might turn out blurry or anything.
But you did a canvas.
Not just I did a canvas.
I wanted a framed canvas.
I didn't want a glass over it.
Or you know, no, I won't have a glass frame.
That was just a framed canvas is what I wanted for the space.
But a framed canvas.
I imagine framed canvas would be more
more expensive than just like a glass frame, which you could have also done.
I could have also gotten it printed at, you know, Walgreens poster.
No, this is a good I need to.
But once I get a little more headspace, I'm going to start doing some stuff like this.
I have I've been really slow with the art in my home because my husband
doesn't like to hang things on the wall.
He just wants me to take my time, which is fine.
He doesn't want to put a lot of holes holes in the walls.
But I am ready to like start getting some things.
And I have I have noticed I am actually this is kind of crazy about me.
I actually love art.
And sometimes things just do speak to me.
And I can't even explain why.
And I like more modern art, too, than I was expecting myself to like.
Um, I was actually looking at Quince and Quince actually had really good art, too.
Really? Yeah.
Like when you say I do like the idea of like the going to Etsy.
But I mean, was it just to me?
That's also like home goods.
Like I haven't looked at an Etsy digital download print that I can then take on
canvas pops, you know, if I'd like it better.
But the Quince art was looking like anthropology art for way cheaper.
OK, there you go.
That's good. No, I've never I've never looked at their art.
I just liked it because if you're looking for something so specific,
like a certain colorway, like florals, like whatever.
Etsy probably has it.
And then while I was on Etsy, I also found this girl that does like custom
gallery wall picture frames, but they're not like just plain.
Like they're they're eclectic and they're different.
And she makes you can like send you this collection of gallery walls.
And I'm like, it's just Etsy is just I'm like kind of in love with Etsy right now.
There's just such good stuff out there.
And like that's where the creative people are.
Like I am not a creative and I want to have a beautiful home.
But like I cannot visualize it.
I feel like Etsy is where I am turning for other people to visualize these things.
Like this this like eclectic gallery wall thing is like so stunning.
I might buy it.
And why don't you tell everyone else what you bought on Etsy, too?
I think I did. did in my last three transaction.
It was my birthday banner.
Oh, do you want to give us an update since it's come in?
It almost brought me to tears.
I know it nearly brought me to tears or make a birthday banner.
That's your summer bucket list.
I was I'm going to post I'm it's going to go up in a few weeks
because James's birthday is coming up.
So I didn't post about it on my stories, but I asked for primary colors
with some neutrals and genuinely brought a tear to my eye.
Like mine is so did you immediately?
I love it.
And mine is so Joyce Sparky.
Like I will never not love it.
Yeah.
And our kids will fight over it one day and that's the goal in life, isn't it?
Yeah, I hope so.

Yes.
Something else I want to do.
So the last like this is speaking of like framed photos,
the last like renovation project we have to do in our house is.
We need to do a kid's bathroom.
So like there's this oversized closet that has, I guess, the roughens for a bathroom
like the people should have put a bathroom in there and they just kept it as a closet.
And right now the way our house works is like the only shower is our shower for the kids.
So like it's fine now because like they take a shower and bath with us.
But like, you know, eventually like I don't need to like share my bathroom
with like all these smelly boys.
No. And so like eventually we need to have like a kid's bathroom.
And when we do, I'm going to do the thing where you frame a black and white bath
photo from when they're babies. Yeah, I was in my friend's house the other day
and she had black and white photos of all of her kids.
Like when they were around probably like seven to nine months.
And like it is just these little cute, chubby,
you know, slippery little babies in the bath.
Like it's so cute.
I made sure that I have one of Sloan and James at the same age.
I mean, I think I made sure that it was like specifically like a good bubble bath.
Like I put bubbles in it, which maybe I wouldn't normally do that.
So my minor, I went through my phone, mine are fine.
They're all they're not all the same, though.
Like and they're all in different kinds of baths.
And like, but like if you're, if you have, if you just have one,
like I'm with Liz, get that photo and then print that out.
Yeah. And put that in your bathroom.
Like such fun bath art is all your babies when they're little babies in the bath.
I know. It's so cute.
So cute.
We have so many good ideas.
Like are people listening?
I do feel like we have good ideas.
I think we have great ideas.
Great ideas.
OK. Are you ready for?
What is it called? Industry NININ news?
Um, yeah, I am where we share the hot tea going on in the auto industry.
Yeah. OK.
Our first story is why Nissan's tough new SUVs and trucks are so important.
So we've talked with this a little bit,
but Nissan is doing a family of these new body on frame SUVs or vehicles.
And it's one of like the most exciting things I think they've done.
So they're going to have five models on this new body on frame platform,
the XTERRA SUV, which we're all gooped over, which is coming in 2028,
which is going to be priced under $40,000.
You have so much of my attention.
Then they're doing a next gen front to your midsize pickup truck.
OK, they're doing a pathfinder size SUV, but I guess not the pathfinder.
Like maybe it's like a more rugged off-roading body on frame version
and two and three row SUVs for infinities.
They're going to start with this new frame platform on the XTERRA on 2028.
All will be compatible with the same V6 and V6 power, hybrid power trains.
And it's just kind of like watch out for Nissan.
OK, I'm excited.
I mean, I am a Nissan.
I Nissan has her problems, but I'm still a big fan of hers.
And the pathfinder is one of my favorite cars.
And the XTERRA was one of my favorite cars.
And I just hope that this kind of puts them in the market that they're trying to be in.
Yeah.
And like, where's the Nissan Quest?
That was their minivan.
Just like kind of interesting.
Yeah. OK, so that's just like a little update.
I was like always trying to like keep everyone abreast of like where Nissan's at
with their and I'm kind of excited for what other pathfinder size SUV is.
Wasn't it XTERRA?
It used to be a third row or was it always just been a two row?
I think there's always been a two row.
And then remember the flop of the boulder from Hyundai?
Like, are we so for real?
I mean, like we thought it was a flop.
There was other people like obviously it's just a concept.
But there are people in the industry who are saying like it'll never come to fruition,
which I thought that was crazy.
Like, I didn't know that they could just do that.
I know they could just like debut a concept and then like never roll it out.
Yeah. But we'll see what happens.
And I guess the point of debuting a concept is it's like to get the vibes
before you move forward.
I guess that is true.
Like a pulse check.
I'm so excited to be a Bronco girl.
And I got like all this Bronco merch, like I'm going to be like kind of fitted up.
You got it or they sent you some.
They sent me some. Oh, nice.
Well, Bronco merch is the easiest merch to come by.
But it's like the cutest merch to come by.
And it's the cutest merch to come by.
Like, I know Abercrombie has some Bronco stuff.
Oh, that reminds me.
I got Maddie, one of those Abercrombie shirts.
Oh, I think talked about this.
One of those Abercrombie shirts, NFL shirts, and he's like,
this is the softest shirt I own.
I need to go buy him.
I should get him some more for Father's Day.
You should.
Abercrombie, like t-shirts and sweatshirts.
I don't honestly, the rest of their clothes, I don't totally love.
I just ordered a set from them.
That was pretty cute.
But they I shouldn't say that actually, because I have a pair of pants
that I love from them, too.
I guess I just haven't loved their jeans, which I feel like it's
kind of a hot take because I think everyone's talking about their jeans.
I've never loved their jeans.
I think made well jeans are way better.
The Abercrombie jeans are stiff.
They're so stiff, but but they're they're I think pretty reasonably priced
and they have a variety of sizes because they have like the curved love.
They have tall, they have petite.
So I think that they're just like an easy place to shop
because of the variety and the price point.
They're loungewear, like their sweatshirts are my favorite sweatshirts.
Yeah, I can't say enough good things about them.
That's a really good father's day gift idea is to get your husband
a his favorite NFL team shirt from Abercrombie because he'll love it
because it's soft. You'll love it because it's soft.
It's like a good shirt to steal, too.
Also like a vintagey look.
So it's like a very like cool, cool guy.
A yes, broach to these shirts, like sometimes the NFL, like the sports
shirts are just like so ugly.
These are actually very cool looking.
They look vintage.
Is that what you just said?
They look vintage.
Yeah. So you'll just like you'll appreciate
seeing your husband in this versus something that he could buy, you know,
at whatever a sports shop.
And I need to get some new lions merch.
I mean, they literally have jeans with the embroidery on the back pocket.
I cannot wait for football season.
I hope I get into it this time because I'm really I want
to feel something and I just I was so into it.
I couldn't even explain it.
Here's what you need to do.
I'm telling you, this helped a lot of football season
is you need to go to your team's website and add all of the games to your calendar
because then you're just a little aware of what's happening.
I need to follow my girl Simone's playbook
because she tells you what's going on and she's amazing.
We should try to get her on the podcast.
Anyway, football season is not for a while.
OK, my next story back to industry news for a sec.
Is Consumer Reports put out their best used cars for teens.
This is when the consumer reports in the IHS collab.
Like I'm always I always look forward to this list every year.
And. I am going to give you
they do kind of like break it down into categories.
I'm going to give you the best for safety under 20000 dollars.
That's the list I'm going.
They have under ten.
They have best deal. this.
I'm going to give you safety and I'm going to give you the cars that I would consider.
OK, OK.
So they give they say the Mazda three for small cars.
I personally would I plan on putting my teen in a small SUV
because I just think I like a little mass in a collision sometimes.
But or a midsize car really does anything like over 3000 pounds.
I think is like really important.
So.
And this is so helpful because they give you under twenty
and it also had a good rating by the IHS.
OK.
So some midsize cars.
You've got the Nissan Altima and the Toyota Camry.
Two great options.
Nissan Altima 2022 or 2021 Toyota Camry twenty
twenty or 2019
And then we go to the small SUVs.
We've got the Mazda CX 52021 or 2020
OK.
Volkswagen Tiguan 2022 Subaru Forester.
2020 Nissan Rogue.
Midsize SUVs would be.
Subaru Outback built after 2019
OK.
Or Ford Explorer built after 2020
OK.
That's a pretty solid list.
I like for a teen for me like I like Tiguan that.
So like I like that.
Oh, I also also on the Tucson 2022
If I had to I always say this like if I had to get and who knows what we're all
coming like as of today if George was turning sixteen I don't even know how
we're going to do cars.
So interesting.
And like it's people are so like everyone handles it so differently.
I do think we probably get George like a small truck.
But all of my I don't know.
We also don't make George and I share a car for a while because like what
have any cars for and they're going to turn sixteen a year apart from each other.
But anyway, let's pretend they're getting their own cars.
George is probably going to get like a GMC Canyon or a Ford Ranger.
And I probably get how do you a hundred Tucson.
That's what I would say today or a Mazda CX five.
Sorry, I'm kind of on the Mazda grind after my week at the IHS because they were.
They were incredible.
You can't I mean, you can't argue with the facts and with the crash tests.
No, but the Hyundai also performs very well.
So I probably would still do I like the looks on the hundred
Tucson a little better.
Sorry, Mazda, and I like tech better.
I think the Mazda techs a little hard.
Um, I'd probably get her a hundred Tucson if I had to choose like at this exact moment.
Mm hmm. Yeah, that will be or Tiguan.
I like the Tiguan. I really like the Tiguan.
I know Tiguan's a good car.
And Tiguan's a cute car, too.
Like that's so cute for like a girl to beep up around in.
Totally. Totally.
That's going to be a really fun time in our content.
It's like what I know the teen content stuff is so interesting.
And hopefully like when like my kids are 16,
like another sister like has a baby and we're just like covering all facets of life.
Yeah, you know, yeah.
It is so weird now to be, you know, what am I, 20 something months postpartum?
And the most postpartum ever been in my life and how I literally.
Don't I, I really can't even connect with people who are pregnant right now.
Like I almost feel like I never experienced it, which is like such a wild thing to say.
But like, I was like, I did that, like I did that four times and I can't even like,
I don't know the right word, but it's like, I almost just like, I don't relate.
Well, I mean, it's something that like really, at least for me, like I really shut,
like I don't, I am having such a hard time remembering and I had kids really close together.
Like what the newborn stage really is like, because you're just so in it.
Like I really do believe you block a lot of it out.
And I know that it's hard, but I'm like, it's hard, but is it that hard?
Especially when you've had like, was Sloan really that hard?
Because in my mind, I think it's going to be not that bad.
But like, I just, I know you just forget.
Yeah, you just forget your body really blocks it out.
But I am at the point in my pregnancy where people who I have known
we were pregnant at the same time are starting to have their babies.
And I know I'm still two months out or 10 weeks out.
Like I'm still, I'm 30 weeks pregnant.
So I'm still a ways out, but I am starting to see these people have their babies
that and like we've been pregnant at the same time.
And I'm like, I want, I kind of want to be right now.
Yeah, it's so interesting.
It's very strange.
Yeah, it's just strange that a group of people and like a thing that I was once
so in and like, in like, when you're an infant, I was the girl.
Like I was always the girl who was pregnant or had a newborn.
And now I'm just like not, and now I'm in this like new phase of it's like, well,
now I'm like trying to figure out what it's like to be like a kid mom.
And I'm just like, I don't know.
I don't, I don't feel like an expert where I guess when I, I was
pregnant with Libby and even Fred, like I just kind of felt like the expert.
Like I feel like I could speak to it.
And now I can't.
Yeah.
Like I had a friend ask me for a formula rec.
Like what formula is good?
And I'm like, I have no idea.
I haven't given a formula in like a year and a half.
Like I use Bobby's.
That's the one.
Like, I don't know.
Don't listen to me.
I don't know anything about it.
And I don't think it is.
I think I'm going to do, I think there's like a new hot one.
That's what I'm saying.
It's like 2023 glass bottles were not a thing.
And now like glass bottles, especially for like a newborn is like the thing to do.
Well, the microplastics, the microplastics.
I have got to replace my plastic cutting board.
Yeah.
I just like don't want to.
Karaway has good wood ones.
You did.
They require a little bit more maintenance and I would keep one for chicken.
I know you got to keep one for.
Well, I don't need one for chicken because I use my little paper sheets.
But I need a small.
The thing is I need a small wood one because the plastic one,
I have a nice big wood cutting board, but I have a little plastic one
that I love pulling out to like cut up an apple.
Like I'm not going to put my giant cutting board to cut an apple.
Mm hmm.
So I need to get a little wooden one that's easy to pull out to cut, you know.
Little things for kids.
Like if I'm chopping, I'm chopping, but if I just want to cut.
I sometimes just like keep one out on my counter all day, though.
Really?
Like if it's a big one, yeah.
And I mean, I can like wipe it down quickly
because it's like how dirty is it getting?
But if I'm just like cutting up fruit or vegetables throughout the day.
Yeah, I'll just leave it on my counter.
But I've got that's I've got good.
I mean, you have good counter space, too.
I know maybe not everyone has great counter space.
But like, yeah, no, I know I'm going to be chopping multiple
like three meals a day and snacks, so I just kind of keep it out.
OK, well, well, we have to do
that's the drive through where we give you an easy dinner recipe
to mix it up to get you out of your dinner rut.
Oh, I did think my broccoli chicken cheddar casserole counted.
Well, here's what I'm making tonight.
I'm trying my hand again at a roast.
The last roast I did turned out to the last three roasts
I did prior to that did not turn out.
So we might be having pizza tonight.
Only time will tell.
But I'm doing a Mexican style roast in the crock pot.
And I got the like like the street taco tortillas.
And so what I'm going to do is I'm going to line them up on a sheet pan
and I'm going to put my shredded beef in them.
Cheese on top, fold them over, fold the tortillas over.
More cheese on top of the tortilla pop it in the oven.
So then they're like going to be like really crispy, cheesy, like street tacos.
You're doing it up right. I'm doing it up right.
Yeah. And like I went to the farmers market over the weekend,
I got some like salsa from the salsa girl.
And I have some corn. I might do I have that everything but the alote seasoning.
So I think I'm going to like do some corn,
put some manate or whatever it is, like mayonnaise and butter and stuff.
And then my alote seasoning.
And I'm going to do like corn and street tacos for dinner.
I think the ditch the drive,
so there's just be like doing it up right, like a simple meal, but doing it up right.
Yeah. And you know, my my corn's frozen, like I have frozen cobs.
You have frozen cobs. I
Did you know you could have frozen cobs?
I did because my mother-in-law doesn't for her shrimp oils.
Yeah. So like my cobs are frozen and they've been frozen for a long time.
And so now it's just time to use them like the literally
I bought none of this stuff. I bought the street tacos, the street tortillas.
Well, let's see how it turns out because my roast was in the freezer.
My cobs were in the freezer.
So this is like very much just like I didn't have to go to the grocery store
kind of meal and I hope it turns out I'm really having high expectations.
Yum.
All right. So with that, that's going to be our episode.
So everyone have a great, safe, fun weekend.
We'll talk to you guys on Monday.
Monday, Monday, Monday. On Wednesday.
On Wednesday.
Well, we'll talk on Monday, but they'll hear it on Wednesday.
Yeah. All right. We'll talk to you then. Bye.

About this episode
The conversation starts with marriage and relationship growth—how communication can change, why “a marriage is about how hard you work at that marriage,” and how social media can fuel toxic comparisons. It then pivots into AI and authenticity online, with the hosts arguing “The least authentic thing in the world is? Artificial intelligence.” Between that, they share family logistics, travel plans to Vegas, and a Bronco off-roading surprise. The episode also covers creator income, teen car safety picks under $20,000, and a few sponsor reads.
It's the final Friday episode for a minute, but don't worry because there is PLENTY to talk about! With Lizz going out on maternity leave soon, Tyler might be the one to pick up some of the filming slack. Just one of the many reasons we love Tyler! This conversation quickly turns into a marriage chat with some great tangible takeaways you might want to apply to your own relationship! Also, the 4-1-1 on the surprise Kelly has for Tyler in Las Vegas.
Checking with with Last Three Transactions and Kelly is getting ready for an outside summer. Two different kinds of basketball hoops and a ring game for the barn is going to help keep the family occupied. Meanwhile, Lizz is getting ready for baby #3 and buying all-new glass baby bottles and a dresser for the newest member of the family.
BIG news in the Stumpe family - George likes cheese again! Find out how they finally got him to eat the food he was refusing to try a couple months ago. Plus, some very real chat on mom guilt and how Kelly is working on reducing the parenting pressure just a bit.
