There's a lot of you guys know my daily driver is a 2007 Infiniti FX35 sport. It's about time.
I put some money into it. Can't just drive the NSX around
all the time. Looking nice.

Ation tool. They carry all the major brands
of wheels and tires so go get outfitted a visit them at four wheel online. That's four-wheel singular
online. This is the har parking podcast.
The other side of the wheel brought to you by, right.
On a Scottsdale Arizona I'm your host, Jay finding in studio with me today is Nick M and Nick was a Arizona right of the week and we're going to be talking about fast 9.
Nick sup hey there, thank you for having me man.
Thanks for coming over here in the studio man.
Yeah, I know. This is awesome actually be able
to come in and sit in person. Definitely beats doing this on
the phone. So really nice setup.
You have here, you know, it's one of those things people always say that it's better to do it in person.
I agree with that. But I tried really hard to make
the phone calls work. Yeah.
So you have the neon, you have the, are we saying it pal?
Then Nissan Powell? Yep.
Nissan pow. So tell them a little bit about
the power rule quick. Yeah.
So the Nissan pal 89 Nissan, Pike our right hand drive.
It's basically kind of the Japanese play on an old Mini Cooper in the late 80s. Early 90s.
They built them for about three years.
Ended up. It was already imported, the
state's, picked it up a few months ago and It's been fun driving and now it's up on jack stands because it's me and I'm working on it. But it's been a fun little car
and driving around little 1 liter 4 cylinder.
Sounds like a stone machine. Top speed is 70 on 12-inch
Wheels. Thanks flying if you turn on the
AC at full blast top, speeds 4045, really?
Yeah? So, I'm pinned if you see me
cruising around with the AC, in the windows up in the summertime, Wow. I mean, I knew I have been, it
would seem that they would be slow.
I would think, you know, 85, what's the speedo go on there, so it goes up to, like, 150, kilometers an hour, which you're not hitting. What's that like 110 or 100
miles an hour, or something? It's like 100 miles an hour
because if you think about it, 10K 6.2 miles.
So if you're 100, you're like 62 miles an hour.
It took me a moment to get used to the kilometer gauge and then you kind of just go 20 over of what, the normal speed limit is and and you're good enough. For the range.
But like I said, I think I got it up 70-72.
Downhill coming in from Scottsdale and the 101 one day you're like ooh it feels like a Cessna airplane at that speed like you hear all the rattles and it's carbureted.
So like behind me they're like you're smoking because it's just like as much fuel as possible just being dumped into the carburetor do that's hilarious. It's been a ride with it.
It's been a fun car. It also doesn't have sway bars.
So if you take any corner you do feel like The car is going to tip at any given point. So it's like a Disneyland ride.
Any time you take a corner at speed, that sounds pretty cool.
I've seen a couple of those before in the past and I think they're awesome and I don't know, I still feel like I need to buy one of these little cars, but if it was up to me, I'd have a whole yard full of like, you know, I'd have Caterpillar tractors out there and shit, you know, a little Moon Rover, look at things, well once he Turf like, pod kind of looking cars.
And yes, yes. So I was driving up Warner,
which is the road that actually connects our Our residents is by a few miles and I took a photo the other day.
I think I was headed to Home Depot like always and it was a pickup truck or was it lifted okay, stickers, all over the back window but one really big on it.
Black smoke matters, those are the guys we can think for the whole EPA thing. Yeah, that for this thing that's
the same reason we run into all the issues.
Those are legitimately the guys that when I'm driving and I'm in the Miata and you're just like you pull off and you're just like Like, don't don't don't roll coal right now.
Just just don't do it. My windows are down, just don't.
And those are the guys that were, like, literally have to fight like the RPM act. Yep.
It's because of that situation that were fighting to modify our cars. Yeah.
Fighting to build track cars because yeah, rolling coal.
I just personally, never have understood.
Understand it. I don't get it.
It's like this has have some sort of purpose or perceived purpose, right? Because the reverse tuners and
people think oh, One get a K&N Filter or a cold air intake and now I'm, I'm doing something like.
It has to have some sort of Advantage.
Maybe you'll needs more. You're running super rich.
I guess is the concept and you're loading up the system and dumping it, you're definitely not going to get that from running Lanes. So you're just loading up the
richness of the system and then just dumping it out the back side. So it's hmm.
I again I still don't know even from a tuning perspective because what the advantages that with the Avengers because you go Get your car tuned. And yes, Rich means safer than
lean. But right, I mean, I run
super-rich on a start-up, but once I get a temp or wear out, I have an apples to oranges question for you.
Yeah. And so I preface that by saying
you can't compare the two. Okay, but I'm going to compare
the two. Yeah, let's do it.
What's worse? Look, Cole rollers for the
streetcar, take over people shit man.
I was wondering if I'm like, where is this going to go?
Um so I'm going to go with take Over.
And the reason why is because both of them creates a negative connotation in the car Community.
However takeover effects, I think more of us in that regards it does agree. I think there's more of an
impact from the street takeovers versus you real cold and you're gonna be like oh it's a big lifted bro Dozer just like going through its like all right all those people modified their trucks on that but it tends to be a truck kind of thing.
I guess I guess unless you're you have a diesel VW and you're just Like yeah, I'm Gonna Roll this out the back of my Jetta, but like it's which I can see that too because I think I've actually seen a video of a gyro, we weren't we.
Yeah, we would take road trips and my father, we had a van, right? And he built the van out, so he
bought like a bare-bones ban. So, I'd actually remember
because I slice three of my fingers on, what would eventually become the window because it was nothing there, you never break and I was like, but he had a CB in, this could be a teasing. Yeah.
He had a CB in the, in the van, he swear, he was an 18 wheeler, you know, it's like this be banned blue behind you, you know, copy saw Smoky, and also, maybe maybe the Volkswagen bug or Beetle or whatever rolling coal is that version.
It is that version of just like the truck, like, I'm a truck guy, too, and we're doing it anyways.
But fast 9:09, man. Where you're here?
You're family now, we're, you found out.
How about all the memes? Like, I've never had these memes
are crazy and they keep getting. She better like I will be
honest. I straight-up booked a private
showing for fast 9 like Brett it out a theater, for some friends and were like we're doing this so we can make jokes and not get kicked out. Um, we finished we stood there
and we're like, oh man, there was a couple memes like right after that first weekend, but, man, this week is just just, they're everywhere. Did you, did you like the old
first off? What I want to say is, Moving
forward, any Fast and Furious rumor.
You hear is probably true. Exactly.
Exactly. Because it's been a couple weeks
now, so there's no spoiler alerts, then you haven't watched it. Well, warning to you, the title
of this episode is past nine, you know, be worn, but I mean space, right? People talking about fascinating
going to space for a couple years.
It's we're in a fear own space. We brought back from Tokyo Drift
characters. Ha ha ha.
Wow, I mean he got work again. So we got like so little bow.
Wow, it's like him and what's-his-face.
I forgot his name. Who's a guy, who's the main
character? I honestly, I owners name.
I only remember because not his name, but like, he played like The Flash in something else in my friend needs to do his like impersonation spot-on. So every time I like, it's the
flash, like his every time I see him so I'm like, yeah, I mean, he's a quarterback from Saturday or Friday Night Lights.
Yeah. But it's not like, I don't like
him. I think of his name, but he look
weird in this movie. Yeah, he definitely looked like
he lost quite a bit of weight. Yeah.
This thing to you lose some eyebrows and wait, it's like him and Little Bow-Wow kind of changed my girl Bow.
Wow, gained his weight and then the other guy, yeah, whatever the main character, lost Bow. Wow.
Got there a moment, but like he definitely looked, like one of those things like maybe Trainspotting, he could have hopped in on by chance. Like he didn't look right or
mean you know. I mean you know, whatever
whatever. Yeah.
You know what's gonna happen is you know, six months from now it's going to come out. He's very sick.
Yeah. And then we're going to be like,
shit. Yeah, we're assholes.
Yeah. It's going to be the, The
Chadwick thing. You know, the movie was, it was
entertaining entertaining. Yet mean you have to I think, I
think we learned what it was a Fast 6, which one did they start? They drop their cars out of the
airplanes. They landed perfectly straight
on the one-lane dirt road on. Without the X5 was the safes
because if I was, yeah, that's the, The Heist movie.
That was the ad. That was a heist.
And sex is when we started, Landing them on perfectly singular. One-lane roads.
From an airplane. Yeah.
Somehow they steered them and speaking of steering.
You also Roman Tyrese's character.
So they're in space and he's literally steering their Fiero.
Like it's actually going to do anything.
Yep. You know, he doesn't have the,
the butterfly like the flights thing.
Yolk nothing. Yeah, nothing.
He's got a steering wheel and he's kind of left and right, a lot of fun though. Yeah, I do like that.
They hooked up the gas pedal for the Fiorella for the rocket as well, right? So when you, when you could
punch it in the Fiero, you went forward with it.
It's a, it was definitely a lot of fun going into it.
You definitely set the expectation like what crazy is going to happen. Mmm, and then you do finish it
though. And go, What did I just watch?
I did feel slightly bad. My one friend's wife who came?
It was her first fast and furious movie, ever this Russia spent half the time. Looking over, you guys.
She was just like, why do you mean what's what's going on?
She goes. So did not anybody gonna ask
about the babysitter like he just dropped off the kids and left. The next day we're just like,
it's fast and furious, we don't, it's fast, it's okay, it's okay.
It's a explain. The Hans situation.
You're like, no, he's back. Do we need to know why?
Now he did a good job at least sniper now.
Deadly sniper. /. And when you go for ramen in
Japan, you're going to find that one black from Mexico, right?
And is going to be spot-on because Japan is so not dense, right down to it all. It's yeah, it's not populated at
all. It's just very quiet.
Yeah, it's a but where do we go? Man, we went to space.
I'm thinking we go to the Centre of the earth.
Next time Kong Island. There's a crossover from a
crossover. Yeah, there's gonna be a
crossover. I'm a good friend of mine.
Big supporter of the show asked me where they're going to go next as well. And I said Subterranean, I said
you're going to be smuggling under the water and personalized modified submarines it is. The Challenger submarine is
coming. It's got to be and he said, they
already did that? I go.
No. Because the other submarine was
on on the ice, the nuke. Yeah, the nuclear that wasn't
hard. Yeah.
So I think it's going to be something like that.
Let's talk about the magnets. I was hoping We're going to talk
about the magnets. Let's talk about the magnet
because you know, there's these electromagnets and they hit the button and they power and they just they're pulling cars through buildings through just through buildings.
But they don't affect the metal of the car that you're in.
Yeah. Or like or like when you have
magnets then you do the Polar Opposites and they shove away from each other. You can set them up with just
enough distance to make that happen.
I love the different uses. They have from them like
stealing Like the plate of food and all the laptops crashed and but they held on to one and they're like, oh this is fine.
Yeah, the magnets. So they were in the Supra.
The Challenger they were in the side by like the delivery truck that remember Truck. Yeah.
But my other part is well, is that not the continuity?
You've got the, the magnets were used and they disrupted all the cell service that's right. Before they knew what the hell's
going on. They use magnets.
And everything like an EMP but then you could repurpose them and then not disrupt the service but bring cars in like you were pulling a rope bridge and what's your what's your face in Ramsey the other the two smartest people on the planet the data doesn't lie. The numbers don't lie.
The debtor doesn't like because they were really, they were redoing God's eye. Yep.
In one of the previous ones, do I actually forgot about God's eyes? Yeah, they did that.
So, but it's going to be interesting where they go as well, right? So the next filming, Is set to
be. It's supposed to be the end but
it's about such be filmed so long.
They do like a two-parter like a that's going to be 10 and 11 but really, that's just n. Hmm.
So that's going to be the upcoming, set up for it, from that recording as it comes in. It's like, okay, we're going to
talk about 10 or 11 but it's really just 10.
Like, do we have enough? Okay, are we going to space?
How does it end, right? But I feel like even the cute it
up, right? Like they showed a younger
version. Of the crew.
Hmm. Do you go Gotta hope not if you
go reboot and start a crew like a young kids version up into it where it reconnects again. Like are we talking like Star
Wars were gone before? You know, I hope not before we
talk about the future of the fast, can we take some time and talk about the flashback versions of these guys?
Yes, because this is, you know, no LG came on the podcast.
He said, this is the most successful franchise ever for was at Universal Studios. Oh, yeah.
We're probably period. It's one of them.
So they should have a big budget, right?
Apparently. They don't have marbles budget.
No, they don't no more. Well can make candy.
Age anybody. So instead, we have to find
these people who look Nothing Like Us.
Not at all. And because I mean, younger,
they had to have. It's got to be.
It's got to be someone out there who's like, Vin Diesel.
Yeah, it's take a stripe on that.
Like, there's got to be somebody a little bit closer.
Exactly. That there was no Marvel budget
because when you punch through and you're like, which one are you going to call them as Vin? Because I was waiting for them
to like, which one of you is supposed to be Vin Diesel on it because of his brother as well. And it's like, and then also, So
aging his brother back, like John Cena back to that character and you're like, you know, the in a weird way, I think the younger see, no look more like Cena than then Venda deven because Ben's younger version already looked old first off and I was confused as hell when I saw the name tag his name on his mechanic shirt that said Ben looks like wait is that Uncle van? Was there another vendor?
Yeah it's like it's not a cut then then like or not Dom.
So yeah that down. Yeah, we're talking to Ben.
Yes, we had Dom on his shirt and it's just like that our Dom.
Yeah. Was that like uncle Dom?
I who is this and is the little one Dom and then they made it obvious at that was Dom. When I was listening to the car
cast, with with Adam Carolla and Matt's motor d'andrea they were talking about this as well. Okay.
Don't want to give Matt credit for bringing this up.
So the Doms is famous story of grabbing the wrench and beating the guy. Yep.
He grabbed like a monkey wrench. Like the kind I was We're going
to torque wrench. Yeah, that's not a wrench that
you would find on a racetrack. That's something you would fix
your sink with. Yeah, that's exactly what it
was. Like, your bus now that ranch if
like, I guess your core over righteous are broken and you're stuck in your, like, might this work?
Like it's, it's, they didn't grab the torque wrench, how they cute it up as well, with that whole thing of just like you beat him to death and then you go talk to your brother like super chill. Like, right, I'm going away.
I'm going away. Don't worry about it.
I almost Killed a guy, no big deal.
They did all the shooting at Irwindale with it like they love to do that. It was funny on the different
caches as well. Like when we talk about budget
some of the car sponsorship stuff that you saw in the back you could see where they like like Hearst.
Hmm that didn't exist. Like there was a letter missing
in that situation but it's like so you look at that budget.
You're like we kept filming all this thing and it's just interesting. We looked at like they did all
this. I felt like those flashbacks
probably took up. A third of the movie season.
Yeah, yeah. Close to a third for sure.
Let's talk about the cars. This one.
There weren't many right there was his badass charger Challenger. He's got that specialized
mid-engine mid-engine like 700 or 800 horsepower one, which is pretty badass. It's a I looked into that car
afterwards. You can go buy that car.
It's an all carbon chassis Center lock, front wheels.
Like the more I looked at him like okay, this thing's Things.
Badass seems awesome. But there wasn't a lot of like,
that was the hero car right there.
Like, that was your hero car there.
You had the orange Supra, okay? I see the tag end with with Han
and orange and we get that other main Vehicles though.
That you came in. There was, I think a McLaren at
one point. There's NSX, there's the NS act,
as you know, which makes sense because he has one in real life.
He's a big, you know, a guy. Yeah, there was I guess the, the
off-road You had the whole off-road situation where you have like the that the tank and the the thing Tyrese was driving is that's that's one of those military things that the same thing from like Fast Five. I feel like it is the rock had.
Yeah I feel like that's the same thing that The Rock had from faster but that thing's badass to oh yeah no.
And to know it's like right when you got the vehicles as well to whole self-awareness you're like is he going to break the fourth wall? Like and we don't get shot.
Like I don't have a scratch. But so, as far as the vehicles
are, Like there's a few of them that came in that, but there wasn't like, again. Dom's vehicle is your big
quintessential? Like, this is your hero car.
This is awesome. It's such a crazy car different
times. I'm not gonna lie, I thought it
was rendered to begin with at first.
I'm like, yeah. That's, that's a different kind
of rendering. Okay, we've got that in.
I feel like he had two cars. I mean, there are they flying
his car all across the world can possess a whole lot of thing, right? Yeah.
Oh, at some point, they became this super high top secret task force. So they they go from being
basically Street Racers, and they don't even see her family.
Yeah. Still in VCRs to highly trained
combat specialist because I mean tej and Roman, they had a pretty good time. Fighting the dudes in the truck
because if you go back to the other facet, get their ass kicked by that one guy, now that one guy.
Oh yeah. Right.
But they clearly couldn't fight at the time.
Yeah. And then go back to you fast
furious, right? People people again and it to
you depending on where you're at.
Mmm. And so I think that's where they
all became for mr. Nobody everybody became
everybody. Can drive specific.
Everybody can write magically know like all right, if I adjust or do this like Dom gets stronger every single movie and I think that's when we look at from the car perspective.
At what point do we transition from?
It's the car movie? You were just in an action
movie, that's what it is. I think it's five did it.
I think Fast Five. The moment we pulled the safes
behind the Cars like we went into that had a little bit again. Hon coming back in right.
Can you make the window right into it?
But as far as the vehicles that were concerned in this movie again, Dom's car. Probably is the most notable.
The super is good. But I think to some extent we
might be more spoiled by seeing Supras, because we've seen new person person. And yeah, And builds and Sima,
builds and everything else. So like when you see an orange
super on the screen you're like, oh that's not bad.
That's cool. But it doesn't stand out maybe
as much as when you do see the NSX.
You're like, oh cool, that's not often.
Do you see those anymore pop into place 04?
I mean when you know spoiler alert when you see the R34 coming up the street. Yeah you know that's always kind
of a Brian car, it's kind of a treat, you know, there's room for one more. So Sean Boswell is the is the
name of Lou. Has blacks character.
Okay, you know Sean from Tokyo Drift.
There's rumors now. Have you seen the rumors of
Tyrese? Maybe getting a spinoff?
Yeah. So I've seen some rumors of that
of getting a spin-off and that's where the spin-offs come in.
What is your thought of that I have thoughts?
Were your thoughts of that? So I think we are going to get
to the point where everything has its own spin-off, The Fast and the Furious is going to die as that main franchise but I'm sorry Teresa's, how one of the most entertaining characters in the entire thing? So I'm I'm I'm all in of like
because he's gonna come in at it from a maybe more of a comedic aspect or something else as well.
And I'm going to be entertained, right?
You saw the Hobbs and Shaw spin-off, right?
And so then they talked about another spin-off of just all the women from Fast and the Furious as well.
So I think that's where you get into.
I do think it starts to dilute it to some extent when everything gets a spinoff. Because you're like okay, are
you a fast and furious fan or are you just a Tyrese fan?
Now, right again it's a fast and furious.
I know my ass is going to be in a theater.
I'm going to watch it but I'm entertained to see what he would do with it because of who he is as an actor and as a person I feel like I'm interested with what he's doing.
I do think we're going to get where it's too diluted or were so far gone from everything. We can't even tied back to
original storyline. Did you like?
Hobbes and shh? I did.
And so, I, but I've you hopped in Shaw's is Standalone film, and I think that's the different if you view it as filling it in with the franchise. You can't you view it as just a
standalone film that you're like, yeah, Dwayne Johnson can hold down a helicopter between a truck and right?
Oh, he can also when he needs to, when it's time to go to work, you can Flex his muscles and rip out of a cast.
That's right. Yeah, yeah, I forgot it.
Yeah, I mean, he was laying in the hospital, he's like it's time to go to work blacks and that thing just grips off and then grabs like the mini gun and he shoots down a fucking helicopter with it. Yeah.
And so I I enjoyed Hops and show, they talked about a hops in shock you, but their feedback on it was the problem we ran into is trying to get Dwayne Johnson film because he's so busy. Hmm.
So and then to go into spin-offs right?
The end of Fast, and the Furious.
Yeah. So what, what's Shaw thinking?
When he opens a door and Han standing there, right?
Yeah, it's like wait, you should be dead, you should be dead.
Like I I legitimately went to jail and got in fistfights over killing you. And You're not even dead swallow
alert. Yep.
And then you basically have two good guys.
Yep. You know so is that may be there
may be that's going to be some sort of a thing.
It's going to be you know again instead of mocking Charlotte Hobbes or something odd in sha Allah.
Yeah, so we're going to last name, so it would be on.
I didn't Hans. Last name is Lou.
I'm still looking at nit. I didn't know that.
Okay, so he's maybe Lou and Shaw.
Okay. Sean Lou.
It's like wouldn't this sounds like a product?
It does. It sounds like you're like a
Cosmetic on it. But what what's your take on the
spinoff? I wasn't a big fan of Hobbs and
Shaw, it was just too out there. I mean, it was just too.
I mean, it was it took the Ridiculousness of fast and furious and then it multiplied it.
You know, when you have this Android guy.
Yep. You know, bionic guy or whatever
and just like you were saying with the holding the helicopter down. So ridiculous.
Shit that happened over there. It's just, you know, fighting
running down our flying down the side of a building or something like that, you know. Oh yeah.
I feel like that was a scene but it's Far as Tyrese.
So when I posted it there, you know, there's some people are lot of people talking shit and I said, look, he's arguably one of the most, if not the most entertaining person all day, right, all day long. Okay.
You know, I can see it. Yeah.
And you know what would be even better?
If they did a buddy spin off with him and Tash because they are perfect together that that riff back and forth and everything. Like, that's what would make it
and that's where it's like, again, people go to talk it.
Like hoppin Shah was so far out there.
Maybe you take this back and you can actually almost take it back to do less of because you think back to serve over the fucking over the top. Yeah.
Because you think back to you five at the end of five and the only reason I'm so knowledgeable of five recently because five is the best one. I mean it, The most popular one,
I love 5, I ranked at number one.
It's just it basically dumped a bunch of life, back into the franchise and Taj, has a shop at the end of five.
Yeah. So and they show up at the very
end together and it's one of those things where it's like the Pagani, right? So it's one of those, like, the
others to now, there's two. Yeah, and I think you kidding me
right now, I think that's where it comes into.
He's honestly the most entertaining character because you look at the rest of them. M, like, Tash can go in and
again, as well with with all that burner D, this super nerdy, all that those guys again, they're in a fear.
Oh, and there's a whole, the whole scenes with them, in, a Fierro every single time is entertaining.
Like the rapper's like the duct tape that the scuba suit situation going on. If it's, it's all those are
entertaining, so that gives the most hope.
But if you're like, oh, we're going to do a spin off and it's going to be Lou and Shaw and it's like, it might work, it might not. That might be more, they'll be
more like an Espionage action movie, trying to not quite as as over-the-top as the other one. Yeah.
But maybe they're looking for mr.
Nobody yeah. Whenever I mean, what happened
to him, whatever happened to mr. Nobody.
I mean, last we saw him. He was basically left for dead
and you got airlifted out, hmm? Right.
And then you, if you even want to delve in further, right, there's the whole hops and Shaw, right?
The voice, which if you're bored enough in the pandemic and you watch that movie enough time, see you soon?
Realize that voice is John Cena. That's doing the voiceover for
that, that's interesting. And so when he showed up in this
last movie, I was like, oh, we're going to finally put those pieces together and then they never did.
And I was like, yeah, so definitely, Tyrese.
I'm all in on it. Other ones.
We'll see how they come in. It could dilute the other ones,
but if he bring rain and back a little bit more into just like, for as most realistic, as you can get, it's not going to be realistic, right? But as long as you can like,
we're not getting rid of a sub with our bare hands.
So so what would that look like? Because I think Tyrese is great
Yang. Ludicrous is great and I mean
I've seen you know, we've we've The entire recent movies where he's not funny. Yeah, you can.
You know what I want to say is a black and blue black and blue.
You saw that? Yeah, I mean he was a guy from
the hood. It was trying to keep his nose
clean and, you know, end up being like the main assistant to help the main character, you know.
So I mean, I'm, I'm not one to say who can and who can't act, but when I see him in movies, I'm convinced of his character, whatever his character is. It's because he fully commits.
It's never one of those things, no matter what role he's in, he fully commits to one In way or the other.
It's not going to be one of those like he's doing a serious role and he's still trying to throw in one Liners in your way.
Okay, like that's again that also deals with some of the writing aspect, but yeah. It's when you look at that
movie, right, what is it going to be?
I almost think back to like again, 2, Fast 2.
Furious days. Like taking it back.
Alright. Now we're back in Florida.
Now were maybe again, we're dealing with some cartel or some situation. We've got going on, you know,
but maybe your street racing again, we're bringing it back to the old days on and on Street. Same kind of thing.
Like, where does that take it? I think because we've gone so
far, though, if we tame it down, will keep people's attention.
But I, yeah, I think it would have to be.
We don't know anything about who we where he's from.
Yeah, you know, we know he's Brian's boy.
Yep. They knew each other from back
in the day but I think maybe there's some some crazy shit.
Maybe happens to his family. I mean, it's all about family
are always about family, something happens to his family.
Or, you know, everybody else is too different, too hard to get ahold of. And so somehow he gets singled
out and he's on his own, and he's guys to try to figure this out or he has to go back and help somebody, yeah, you know, maybe not his immediate feeling. Maybe his cousin or something,
and I don't know. You know, it's weird to think
that they could exist in a world without the rest of them now.
Yep. Because when I mean that's your
ride or die crew, like he was saying this movie, right?
They've done all sorts of shit together.
Yep. So we do all this stuff
together. We've been to this other world.
We've been to space, homie? Yeah.
If someone's giving me some shit, I might hit you up.
Yeah, exactly. Now.
So it's it'll be interesting. So I think I'm excited to see
what they do. I feel like it's true,
especially because we weren't space.
Yeah, and that was a rumor for two.
And everyone was like, that's ridiculous.
You know, as we and their know, they were yep.
But I think with him and tej somehow that would be even better. No, I definitely agree and I
think just the dynamic you could go with because you could take it, a bunch of different ways. You could go super analytical,
you could go a, bring it back up from where we're going at, it almost very much kind of like to got a reference back to Marvel, right? When you look at Winter Soldier
and any look at that and you bring back towards that family concept. And can you bring kind of that
element back into the fast furious?
Yeah. Because in that in that role and
that scenario tez would be like the Winter Soldier little more serious little bit more there, a key.
And then of course, obviously Tyrese Roman Pearce would be Falcon in a sense. We flow more easily, more goofy
because fucking he has a lot of you know, the only little one-liners. Yep.
Did you enjoy that series-winning folder?
Yeah, I did. I like it a lot too.
I liked a lot of it. I like what they've been doing
in the hole. Marvel Universe going off Disney
plus really just expanding out on these stories and taking them into different routes, or sometimes different.
Like again, the whole Winter Soldier at few times you like, okay, I was not expecting you to go.
It's Disney. Okay?
You're not going to go that dark potentially on this scene among other dark. Nope.
We're going that route and it was kind of really nice.
Kind of see that refreshing different gritty.
Take on it. We don't normally get to see
from so Marvel. Does it again?
And I'm going to say this with Loki.
Will you? It's this week anyway, your
we've already done episode 5, One More episode left.
Yep. What I mean by they've done it
again. Is everything they showed us in?
The trailers is so misleading, all day long, but it's all there. Hmm.
And including this episode that we just saw, so some people haven't seen it yet. But, you know, there's a few
things in that episode that they showed in the trailers.
Yep. And it's like, I was like, oh
when is this happen? When is that happened?
And then it happens. Like that's totally not what I I
thought it was going to be and that was the best part.
I guess the use that dichotomy with Fast and the Furious like Fast nine. You saw some stuff in a trailer
and you're like, yup. There's our movie.
Hmm. Disney's like we're going to
show you this. You're going to think this is
going to happen and then you're going to be completely wrong the entire time and I love to be wrong when it comes to looking at that treasure. Yeah I mean some trailers tell
you everything. There was a Gemini man.
I don't know if you saw that movie.
Yeah with well Well, well speaking of Will Smith, okay, don't laugh. Okay, but I get this a lot.
If people say I look like anybody they always say Will Smith and it doesn't matter if it's a white dude, black dude, white chick old white black, dude like chick and it's I don't I don't know my my I took my wife and she's like hell no you know my son you know he loves Will Smith is like hell no you know but I don't know if it's he says he has tiny eyes but I don't know what it is man. I was Dropping off my rental car
once and the guy did like a double take you know, he's like oh man. Shit man.
You know you maybe tell you. I look like Will Smith.
I'm like, yeah, I may have heard it before, which I don't ya.
And then, the last time I was in Newark checking my bag into American Airlines, the girl at the counter, kind of looked up.
She just stared at me for like, five seconds and do you can't you can't stare someone from Five Seconds because it's not like I look just like him. Yeah, you know, I can remind you
of them somehow. But but yeah, Jim.
And I man, they did basically that entire Trailer was the movie. Oh yeah.
Like, what are you doing? I give us, give us something to
give us something to work off of, at least you get Will Smith, man. That's a good one.
There is probably worse people that people can say.
I look like I got Adam Sandler at one point for a while.
I don't know how to deal, see it it.
Well right now, with the the sun stash going on right now.
It's not helping the cause, but it's a, I got a one-time like by, like one person. I kept working with them.
It's on all the fast movies. I think our rewatchable.
You know, where do you rank that and you don't have to do it numerical just kind of aware bars.
You really loved it. You thought it was pretty good.
Your man, we're would you ring that one?
Oh it's sad because it's twice. You see here twice already.
Okay. It's I guess I view it as like
it's one of those like, in my opinion, from the storyline perspective. Probably one of the worst
developing stories because it just didn't really ever fully come to fruition between the Lash back than that.
This one of the wars from the sheer just Ridiculousness of what's going on it, it's highly entertaining.
So it's, it's the Fast and the Furious movie.
You want to watch when you're? Like, I don't want to pay
attention to storyline or care about character development.
I just want to see if you do, go to space, but no, I ended up Watching it with Brian's. And then my father wanted to see
it. So we went and sought again but
I would put it above Nothing's going to be above 5.
I watch Tokyo Drift way too much.
Um, maybe for it's going to be about 44, kind of like was dozing off towards the end of it.
They're like more wasn't the best when they're when they're racing through the mountains. Yeah.
So I think I would definitely just from that better scope of it. I'll watch it probably more
often than maybe seven or eight as you go into it because eight again there's there's one these things like oh there's a submarine I think was 8 or maybe those yeah yeah so So I would put it above that because of just the Ridiculousness of it, it was entertaining. But from the character
development it's probably one of the worst ones.
I think Charlie's being in it and she she was definitely smoking. Yeah.
Like always even with braids, she looked pretty good, but but I rank this one near the bottom. I don't know.
I don't want to say it's the worst, right?
I think, I think the second one, I like the least so far just because everything was so Miami. Yeah.
And Brian's head. Get all the cars, you know and
to the to the bad guys, you know these These are these Mobsters driving these these big cars and just the Ridiculousness of his car and in Romans car you know in the EMP things that was probably my least favorite may be okay just because it's just too in-your-face Miami. It's you know, I haven't really
felt like watching eight more than like once or twice every single one I've seen bits and pieces of multiple times.
Obviously the first one Oh yeah, I've seen a bunch.
I've seen Tokyo Drift a lot if that's I love that.
I think it's great. Yeah.
Um and then Fast Five. I probably seen a hundred times.
Yeah, you know because it's just that movie is action but it's just fun. Yeah, I know it's it was sprayed
out. They were showing at the Alamo
like the week before fast 9 came out.
I was like, I'm gonna go see this thing.
Yeah, it was me and one other friend.
We were the entire theater. Like nobody else showed up, but
one is good. I watch one a lot.
I wanted to try to watch all of them before this new one came out. But like just running a comic
after restarting watching that first one, it was funny to watch the first one and realize like how many companies didn't want to work with Fast and Furious in want to be like, oh we don't want our names are products out there on this franchise and now it's like, it's like, he's take me though.
It's interesting how many movies get pitched and get dissed.
Hmm. You know, they say people in
Hollywood have no idea what they're doing.
I mean, every great movie has been pitched dozens of times before someone finally, He does it.
So i-i'll watch it again and I don't plan on watching it theaters. I'm pretty sure I watch it at
some point. It is funny.
Yeah. Now it's under Kenny.
What was probably the best part of the movie though?
I'm have to think on them. How about for you though?
I think the best part is tough. It's you go straight
entertainment perspective or do you go from like the story perspective? I think probably It's always
going to be the Fierro and space is going to be my favorite part, mmm. But from like How they try to
wrap it up as well. I did appreciate the not to
Brian at the end and I think that to nods, he was babysitting. Yeah, one.
And then at the end, what did I miss anyone?
Here's the one because you've seen it twice.
I've seen it once and I think I really like this part of it was a really subtle call back though.
Basically when he gave his brother the keys and let him leave with the car. Yep a nine second car.
That was a nice nice callback to the first one and that was the one. The one I was thinking of, you
know, that was actually a pretty cool moment.
I'm glad that, you know, you kind of felt that his brother wasn't going to be. They were going to be fighting
the whole time. Yeah.
But I like the fact that it's like, look dumb jokes kind of on you. You were the one.
We couldn't tell this to as ridiculous as a movie as it was a kind of humanized, a little bit.
At that point, I think it does. But I would say, the funniest
parts, I would probably say when they're, when they're shooting early on when Romans getting shot at, we're like, 20 guys around. How he survives and he just goes
off because it. Did you think that?
Okay, this is where I thought when he just started shooting like crazy, I thought it was gonna die.
I felt like somebody should have died to be honest with you.
At the end I was like you know, this woman a perfect time because how often do people die in these movies.
Not very often you know lady died once and came back.
Yep you know Hans diet and he's come back but you know giselle's died, tragically and she's not coming back.
This would have been a good time to maybe write somebody off.
Yeah. And When he getting shot up and
he at the end, looks down at his vest that has always whole Shoals. And he's just like, I'm
Invincible born, he was shooting and people started dropping.
I thought somebody else was there shooting for him.
I was expecting someone to show up be like, are you ready?
Yeah. Like it might have been Dom in
the background or somebody like no, we got it but now it was just him just cock why? I thought that was a little
ridiculous. Yeah.
It was funny but yeah. Yeah it was it was ridiculous.
So those are the type of moments that you kind of watch and you laugh at But yeah the man, no magnet thing was ridiculous, but yeah, that's those are probably my favorite moments.
So you want to let this guy cover a quick.
Car story. Real quick though, this will be
the automotive news. Listen, you an article or layers
are that's it. Broke this morning.
I think from Jalopnik orbit, CA crashes into a backyard into a swimming pool three, passengers and a two-seater car in a two-seater car to, or dead. One was in critical condition.
I don't know if the third person is passed or not.
I did a recheck before I drove over, and they were still in critical last. I checked.
So, 150 miles an hour. Okay, now the First off is
tragic represent. Tragic just tragic, but I'm
thinking through it. It's like what like what was the
situation, right? Was a scenario where you have
three people in the two passenger car and you've seen the sea eights. Yeah, they are made to wear like
I joke that there's there are turbo first a car.
Oh yeah. Like you're not making out
you're not getting nothing. Nothing because we gotta get
over a barrier and everything else and it's like you are separate from your passengers. Exactly.
And so, yeah, this you can't even spill over night.
And I would argue that that cockpit is smaller than even the one of my NSX. I would agree with a Miata,
right? It's just so because of how
everything is get only hugged, you know you're like in a fighter jet so there's that. So what was the situation?
It's like okay if you want to give someone a ride because usually this is how it goes right?
You and who which one of you two are going to go with me first.
Yep. Go for a spin.
Come back man. It was fucking awesome.
All right now it's your turn and we go drive.
Yep. So I I wonder what happened here
and then to be going, look, I'm not saying you should be going 150 miles an hour, but if you're gonna do it, you would think you're gonna do it on. Yeah, you're going to do it in a
place that doesn't have a 15 mph Corner that you have to hit like mmm. And so there wasn't a
convertible as well. So I was trying to figure out
how you fit three. So what's this convertible?
But they're all Targets, they're all Targets.
The my only idea was maybe they had the Targa off and you have the two people on the passenger like sitting on each other's.
While kind of thing. Hmm.
Like, that's how you got three in there because I was trying to figure out how you fit three, because it's like the whole you're right. Often shot reference, they fit
three in a McLaren and it's right, it's a not two-seater but it's I think when you look at that, 150, I'm expecting freeway. So how much run out?
Did you need to get to be at 150?
Because if you're going through, 150 new street, lights or stop signs or that kind of situation as well, like, there's no way your timing, those lights. You're just I'm sending it all
the way through. I'd like to see the scene.
Yeah. Like what's the run is soupy.
I want to zoom out on Google Maps and see if it's one of those two lane, I would say Country Rose.
But you know, those two lane roads in those houses to where you don't know what's coming up and all sentence.
Like oh shit, there's a corner. Yeah, we're going too fast with
the been going to straight line but 150 I haven't driven that fast very much but when I have started a little nervous and I'm going to be out, I don't think I've ever seen anything in the last time I was going a little bit faster than that.
I was in just outside of Las Vegas, wide open stretch and I was flying down a road because I had missed, I was doing a photo shoot and they had turned off and is forever tough out of the place to turn around. In you, you can see forever in
front of you. But when you're going 164, 165,
whatever I was doing when the car gets over that you close on a vast. Oh yeah.
And it's like are you just if you're going 150 or just not paying attention? It's 150, your reactions again,
that deals with the skill versus speed, right?
Letting 150 that reaction time, I mean, the fastest I've ever ran, one of the out up, 117 coming down from Flagstaff.
I needed all the downhill, we ran that bad boy out with two people on it, to get the weight and that was fine because it 117, it was still, it didn't Gap as fast but now you had 40 mph.
Now you're out in. LA stopping distance.
Let's kill. Like, there's the most more.
You get up to speed every twitch is exaggerated, every movement, takes another step, there's not enough safety or traction control features to stop you at 150?
Yeah, it's it's sad to see and it is looking at that and they're like, well, the speed limit was 15 miles per hour.
Again, that's where the Google map skills come in like, what's this super long Runway and they're like, oh, we're going to just Sprint down this and then go turn around, but at It was, we got here quicker than I thought.
Now I can't make it. Yeah, because even at the turn,
right, I'm just visualizing this in my head.
All the times I've flown down roads.
I was going too fast, you still see it coming.
So I'm wondering at the point of impact.
Maybe they got up to speeds of 150 and they just didn't have the 350 feet. You just stop.
Yeah. Maybe I maybe they tapped out at
150 before they were slamming on the brakes to get it stopped.
But you don't have the distance. Also, Ends at night as well.
Right was it a night. Well, if I think it, they did it
and in the middle of the night is one and happened.
Hmm. And that could be, and I'd have
to verify that shit. Yeah, I think if it's at night,
that adds the whole other aspect as well because your headlights go, there road goes, right. It's yeah, it's over.
It's, it's one of those things driving, those kind of roads at night. I've always been more sketch
about. I don't do it.
I'm not a fan of it. It's if I am, I'm cruising my
limit of what I To be to get down the road.
I need to. But I'm not the guys rolling out
a tortilla at midnight. Trying to go ahead and run it.
Yeah, if I'm flying at night it's gonna be Main Highway.
It's not going to be is it'll be the highway.
It won't be for very long. No.
And there's gonna be plenty of Highway lights.
Exactly. Yeah.
And I'm just, I'm like that too. Like this again, not trying to
say, you should be flying down any roads.
But if the sun's not, if the sun's out, you're going to find me driving at the faster speeds. If I feel like driving fast, Oh
yeah, all day long exactly soon as it's because I mean, anything could go wrong is if we can turtle, come on the middle of the road, you know, anything Nick, thanks for coming in the studio. All right, thank you for having
