That, like, took me a second to realize that's what you were saying.

It's like exclusively moms.

It's our weekend, ladies.

What are your plans?

Well, my plans are potty training.

Oh, yeah.

Which you think, why would you do that to yourself?

It's my only free weekend I have until ever.

Liz, I cannot wait for this update.

Yeah.

No, James is like, like he, like I can communicate.

When I tried the first time, I couldn't communicate with him.

Like I tried when he was like two and a half couldn't communicate with him.

Now we can communicate.

So I feel like we should be able to get it done.

I'm just really nervous about the life after potty training.

Because life in diapers, while it's annoying to change like a diaper, it's really convenient.

So convenient.

So I'm just nervous for the day that we're at the park and then he has to go to the potty.

And I've got to like, what, like, you know, pack everyone like pack everyone up, go to the potty.

Like just, uh, but I know what has to happen.

I know it's part of life.

So we are going to try kind of like a loose like three day.

Like you're supposed to like stay at home for three days,

but we do have a Mother's Day brunch scheduled with my mom on Sunday.

So I'm trying to attend that.

So we'll see how we'll see what kind of progress we're making.

Um, but we, which I am excited what I'm doing.

We have Tyler's sisters, babies, baptism and Tyler's the Godfather.

Oh, huge.

Yeah.

So we're kind of, so we, we probably will have like a nice lunch or a brunch after.

Yeah.

Going to the stumps.

That's not true.

We also have brunch on their Christmas and it is probably my favorite meal.

I need to get, they have this recipe, this chocolate chip cream cheese muffin recipe.

That keeps me up at night.

I am almost, no, I'm like, I have five weeks left of my 12 week program and I'm doing fine.

I would say I'm getting a little over it, but also mainly because like I'm just having

really good results.

So I'm like, so like, is it over?

Like am I having good results and can I stop?

You're right.

Yeah.

But I want to see it through because I've committed to the bet.

And you have an investment, a financial investment in it.

Right.

And a health investment in it.

Totally.

And I'm feeling really good still.

So I don't, I'm also a little, I'm happy.

I'm happy with what I'm at.

I'll be nervous to see like if you do have, you know, a chocolate chip cream cheese muffin,

what, if that would make you feel really crummy.

I don't think it will.

Because your gut is in a good place.

Yeah.

My guts in a good place and like normally if I were to have one of those, like what,

what else was in my gut prior to that?

Like now I'm so, like I have, I will never go back to eating.

And how I was eating.

And again, not that I like was eating too much.

It was just, I just wasn't aware of how much added sugar I was eating in a day.

And now I'm like so lathered up to have like a plain Greek yogurt and a banana and cinnamon

and like one day I'll put a drizzle of honey on it and I'll think I'll have won the lottery.

Yeah, sure.

So that's exciting.

Sure.

But anyway, so that's what we have this weekend.

Um, last night I had my book club.

Oh, my book club girls are coming over on Saturday.

Oh, fun with their kids or what?

With their kids.

Cause they all want to see the baby animals.

It's really fun because they, their kids, they each have two kids and they're like my

younger kids ages.

So it's like fun for me.

Cause I feel like the majority of like my friends who have kids are like more like,

uh, they at least have like a Georgia or Hattie age kid.

But like they don't like I'm ahead of them.

Like they're asking me for like advice.

Sometimes it's so crazy.

Cause I'm like, I have no idea.

Yeah.

They're coming over on Saturday morning to see all of our baby animals,

but we had book club last night.

Uh, Tara, who's in our book club put on such a spread.

Like it was so iconic.

She is by far the best hostess out of the three of us.

And that's a lot coming from me.

Yeah.

what are also very good, but like Tara did take the cake.

She made her saw all foods that I could eat, which was like beyond generous.

Totally.

And she, she was my inspo was the cover of the book.

Like I tried to pull from the cover of the book.

She's one of those.

And of those.

No, she's amazing.

I love being friends with those cause I'm not one of those.

And I was a little mad at her because like I said, they're both readers.

Like they're, they're reading, I'm reading, I'm finishing the book club,

book club, book the day before the book club.

Yeah.

And they are reading multiple five books a month.

That's insane.

Especially Tara.

So I was really nervous to bring my picks and I was so excited because I was like,

I have the perfect book for us.

And it's actually a book that I really want to read.

It's called yesteryear.

Have you heard of this book?

No.

Okay.

So Anne Hathaway just bought the rights to it.

Oh, okay.

Yeah.

I know the synopsis kind of.

Yeah.

So it's about a social media tradwife who somehow gets transported back to like the

1800s and has to live the life she's portraying online, but in real life.

Such an interesting concept.

Interesting.

I'm, I'm actually really curious about this because I'm curious to know if it's

like a dig on tradwives or if it's not, like a survival story.

Like I'm curious to kind of know the direction that they take with it.

I agree.

I don't, I don't know much about it.

I've, it's gotten good reviews.

I think it's just a very interesting concept.

So I was so excited and Claire was like, yes, that's the book I was going to choose.

And Tara goes, I already read it.

Tara needs to slow down.

Well, that's what I said.

I said, Tara, this was like the book.

Like this is like, this is the busiest book club book of the moment.

Like you should have known not to read that.

Yeah.

So you're not doing it?

So I chose a different book.

It feels like Tara should just reread it.

And we'll do two books next month.

And I'm like, you're not going to do that.

You know, I also feel like a lot of the times like mom's break mom's night.

Like, Hey, like night off is often spent like grocery shopping or running errands.

It's like not actually spent like doing something.

And so this would be like a good, I mean, I'm not going to start a book club right now,

but I do think that is a good like activity to have like, no, I have my book club.

And when you, you know, sort of cash in for your break where your husband like puts the

kids to bed by himself, you know, you're actually going to do something that's not just running

errands.

It's like a true hobby.

It's a true break.

It's true time off.

No, it is so much fun.

I really recommend it.

And I didn't know these girls.

I mean, I've known Clara for a long time, but like, I didn't know them all that well.

And now I would say we're becoming very close.

I love that.

And last night it was fun because we like did our book club questions and then Tara, the

host is with the most is was like, okay, I have some other questions that I just want

to ask you guys.

And we just like did like, she asked, what's one thing you're loving?

What's one thing you're looking forward to?

What's one way I can serve you this month, which was so nice.

Women build like, I love women doing women like I love that.

So it was just like a really, a really good time.

Um, so that's what I've been up to.

And I just love having a book to read.

I'm telling you, there's just something so powerful about that.

Well, I'm excited for yesterday.

I'm happy to have a book to listen to because I need something to listen to speaking of

hosting, um, admits the crate, like everything else going on.

I am looking towards James's third birthday and I'm most excited.

I've never been excited to plan a birthday party for my kids.

I'm really excited for this birthday party because he's, he gets it.

Like I'm going to set the dinosaurs up.

They're going to have party hats.

They're going to have balloons.

Like I didn't do any of the fun stuff for one and two because they're not going to

remember three.

I'm excited for.

Let me tell you about this act, this activation that I'm having.

You know, it's going to be really, it's really cool.

I don't fully understand how it works is again, like I think they just did their first like

test.

Um, and so that's kind of, it's like a dino dig or something like that.

I'll have to like see if they have.

So I mean, I'll share about it at James's birthday, but I'm currently trying to coordinate

with him to get that done.

Or were, yeah, it's, it's very annoying.

It, and like, there's no excuse because like the technology now exists and

Apple's always been cutting edge and I find the talk to text to be absolutely

horrible.

So one of the girls who works for us, Stephanie was like, Kelly, you've

got to get this app called whisper low.

She's been talking about whisper.

I was like, I'm like, no, I, let me be clear as I'm like, not one to like

download an app.

Like that's such an ask for me.

I downloaded it.

Incredible app.

Oh, okay.

So you can do it on your computer and on your phone.

The computer ones even more amazing.

Like Stephanie was like, I haven't written an email in three weeks.

I just whisper flow the email.

And what whisper flow does, which like Apple could never, not only do they

understand what you're saying and they use context clues to make sure it's

like obviously the right thing.

You can also change like how you want the tone to be or like the punctuation

to be so you can put like casual, formal, excited.

So like for my phone, I'm like casual for my email.

I'm like formal and you can whisper flow.

And if you like get something wrong, it's like, for example, if I was like,

Hey, this sounds good.

I can meet at 1030.

No, I'm sorry.

I can meet at 1130.

It'll like remove the 1030 because it's because it's AI and it's intelligent.

Yeah.

Unlike Apple talk to text.

It is changing my life.

So is it, um, so it's an app.

Do you pay for it?

So I don't really know.

That's a good question.

I'm on the 14 day trial.

But I don't know if I'm going to need more because it kind of depends

like how much you use it.

My brain works better when I talk versus like when I try to type it.

It's a good use of technology.

I'm very happy about it.

Okay, something I wanna talk about.

This is kind of a crazy PSA

that happened to my friends last week.

Basically, they got hacked so bad

that they nearly got their entire bank account drained.

And they are, well, it was her husband.

He is a smart guy who works in finance,

who deals with hacking all the time,

and he got duped.

So I kind of like, I use that as a preface

that this wasn't like a obvious thing.

It was like a crazy way they hacked them

and something that they've been dealing with.

So I just wanna give this a PSA to everyone

because now I'm smarter because it happened to them.

And luckily they got it all.

They called it and got it all figured out.

But it was crazy.

So here's what happened.

They have Verizon as their carrier.

He got a phone call and it popped up

as Verizon is calling you.

And they were like, hey, did you order two phones?

We see that two extra phones were ordered.

And he's like, no, I didn't.

And they're like, okay, well, they're gonna arrive

to your house, can you just like ship them back

whenever you get them?

And there's definitely holes in the story, mind you.

But he was like, yeah, okay.

So then these phones arrive, they're calling him again,

like, hey, can you ship it back?

They're getting alerts from their Verizon app,

which is crazy.

And they just keep reaching out.

They keep calling and they're like, okay,

now we're seeing some weird activity.

Looks like someone's trying to like get in

through your phone number through this.

Like, is this you?

And he's like, no, this isn't me.

And he ends up calling Verizon back.

And they're like, hey, I was talking to this person

and Verizon's like, we haven't talked to you since January.

So that's when the alarm started going off.

Basically, these hackers were calling him

and telling him everything that they were doing,

but acting like they were Verizon

trying to prevent it from happening.

So they didn't like realize, yeah, yeah.

So through, they hacked his phone number.

And if you have your phone number nowadays,

it's like, if they can hack your phone

and then have access to your phone,

oh, you get texted codes to then log in to everything.

They logged into his Venmo.

They logged into his bank account.

They logged into his like FanDuel, their Amazon.

Like they ordered $1,000 off Amazon of stuff off Amazon.

They like drained his, you know,

some money in his FanDuel account.

They drained that.

And then they even went as far to somehow access

his social security, like great.

So also have your credit frozen is another lesson.

So also say like if you get phone calls

from people from your bank account or your phone,

hang up and call the number.

Call your bank again and then make sure that it's them.

Because we can't, like it's crazy that the number said

it was from Verizon.

And they were somehow getting-

I'm just so shook by this, Elizabeth.

I'm so shook by it too because he's,

and he felt, he was feeling, he was like kicking himself

cause like I deal with this all the time.

And I'm like, it kind of sounds like

anyone could have gotten duped this way.

And it could have been so bad.

So that's my lesson to hang up and call them yourself.

You got to sit on hold.

It's worth it because he was at the bank all day.

They're still dealing with it.

So it's-

So what happened to the phones?

Did they send the phone?

I don't know.

See, I'm kind of fuzzy on the-

I don't know.

I'm kind of fuzzy in all the details.

She like briefly described it to me, but.

You have to be so careful.

Have I ever told a story on the podcast about when I got scammed?

Yeah.

No, I have told a story.

Yeah.

Okay.

Well, one time I got scammed

while trying to trademark the car mom.

Yeah.

Because someone like once, once my lawyer submitted it

that I was going after this trademark,

that becomes public.

So then this like basically like someone like cosplay

as my lawyer to send me the bill.

And I paid it.

Yeah.

Yeah, I'd be so careful nowadays.

And now I'm almost like too skeptical, you know?

Yeah.

But I don't really know what the solution is to that

because like it's warranted.

Well, yeah.

I mean, I think it's just like always like

hang up and call them back yourself.

Yeah, I like that.

I like that.

I think that's just like a good rule of thumb.

Because I, when I went to go like open a bank,

a business card or something, I was at the bank

and I was talking to the person for a while

because it was like setting up an account or something.

And she was telling me about the time

that an older woman got hacked by someone

pretending to be her bank.

And because she gave them full access,

they drained her entire account.

And like there was nothing that the bank could do about it

because like she literally gave them

the permissions to do that.

And so then she was just like out hundreds of thousands

of dollars.

Just like the worst kind of people.

Yeah.

I mean, they're thieves.

They're thieves.

They're criminals.

And they're fast because they know what they're doing.

Like they did this so quick.

Like they knew to go to all of these different apps

where he might have money.

It's just crazy.

How does she sleep at night?

Like what's it like to just walk around this world

with no guilt?

I know.

I don't know.

Do you know what I mean?

Yeah.

Like if I, like if the barista makes my coffee wrong

and I ask them to remake it,

like I'm riddled with guilt for days.

And people are stealing money from the elderly

and they sleep at night.

Like what is it like to be that unbothered?

And they're draining the account too.

Like they're not just taking, you know,

$10,000 of a 100000

They're like, oh, no, let's drain the entire account.

Let's ruin this person's life.

Let's take everything from them.

Oh my gosh.

I'm like so sick.

I know.

So I like hate hacking.

I hate AI.

It's only getting harder to detect and just spooks me out.

So that's my PSA.

And you're like, what are we going to do about AI?

I don't know.

I don't like it.

I kind of like it, but I don't like it.

I know.

It's just like so hard.

I know.

And everyone compares it to like the internet

or like to social media.

It's like, you know, everyone thought that was silly.

But like, I don't, there's something, maybe it's just

because like I'm of the time, but it does feel a little different.

And what do you mean?

People thought it was, I don't understand what you're saying.

I feel like sometimes people will say, oh,

people said the same thing about the internet.

People said the same thing about social media,

like how it was going to be horrible.

And then which like, OK, well, it kind of is.

Yeah.

Yeah, no, I mean, I definitely think it's coming for jobs.

And I think it's going to be harder to like get some of those

like cubicle type jobs.

Well, and I was, I listened to this podcast.

No, not a podcast.

It was a real or something.

You know, it's like, I don't know where I saw it.

I read it.

I haven't read it in a couple of years.

I read this.

I read this thing.

And it was like the industrial revolution came for like

manual blue collar jobs.

And the revolution is coming for white collar jobs.

Yeah.

And, you know, there is a lot of inefficiencies.

Incorporate America.

I mean, if you're in corporate America,

you know, it could stand to be more efficient.

Like how many times like I feel like some people.

Or just, you know, all the hoops you have to jump through,

all the people you have to talk to.

And there is ways to streamline it.

I just don't like that.

I feel like it will cost jobs.

Like I'm all about getting streamlined.

Why can't we just streamline everybody

and get down to a four day work week?

Instead, we're going to like cut people out

and everyone's still going to work five days.

The people who have a job, like I don't like that.

Well, they're going to cut people out

because AI is cheaper than people.

And that's what it comes down to.

Yeah, I just want to think about all the parents

who have older kids right now who are like trying

to choose career paths.

Like what advice do you give to them?

Well, I think that you have to look at jobs

that can't be replaced by AI.

Anyways, let's move on because this is a depressing convo.

So I started a new show last night with my husband.

And Tyler and I have been in a major content drought.

Like we have just not found anything

that we want to watch together.

And it was kind of starting to weigh on me

because like to me, that's quality time, you know?

And we were both just like kind of getting in the bad habit

of like, I would read my book, I would scroll my phone.

He would scroll his phone.

And we were both just consuming like too much short form

content and like we need to like sit down,

like watch a show together, like experience something together.

And in my book club, Claire recommended this show

called The Men Who Built America.

And it was like a history channel thing and it's new.

It's new on Netflix.

It was produced by Leonardo DiCaprio.

And it's about the frontiersmen of America.

Oh, so like, thank Daniel Boone,

Lewis and Clark, Davey Crockett,

like people who I know the names I don't know all that much about.

Yeah. So and it's really cool

because it's like half show, half documentary.

So like I like they have they have characters

and they're showing the things and there's even dialogue

with the characters, but then they have all these historians

who are also chiming in to like give you the context

on how it relates to like things that are going on.

It's so incredibly well done.

The Men Who Built America.

And what's fun for me is like a lot of these things

like happened kind of where we live.

Yeah, like Daniel Boone died in Missouri.

Yeah, like he his life story.

It was me and Tyler, our jaws were on the floor

hearing about this man, Daniel Boone.

Like he was.

He was a superhero.

Like he was a legend.

Like how did he not die?

Like he should have died so many times.

Yeah.

And like, you know, he makes it

and like you're watching this show

and I'm like, how's this man getting out of this?

Like this is getting out of this one.

This is insane.

OK, so just really well done.

And you know, we were it was kind of hitting us

in our feels because America is turning 250 this year.

Yeah.

So it's just like feeling very like history of America.

You know, this was about like the Revolutionary War

going around when Daniel Boone and all this was happening.

Just really, really excellent, really well done.

I learned a lot.

I think we could all stand to learn more.

We could all stand to learn more,

especially about American history.

And I was then we were looking up

because Daniel Boone like founded this settlement

in Kentucky called Boonesboro.

And it was like the first settlement

past the Appalachian Mountains.

It was it's a huge deal.

And it's still like the fort is still there today

and you can go visit it.

And I'm like, how fun like when our boys and our girls

when our kids are older, like driving them to Kentucky,

like I want them to like watch the documentary I just watched

because it's history channel.

So nothing's that graphic, which I appreciate

because I don't need to see gore.

Yeah, like, you know, it is there, you know, there is violence.

Like I wouldn't let my kids watch it now,

but I would feel comfortable

letting the 12 year old watch it probably.

OK, because it's more just like, you know,

they're shooting each other.

I don't know.

Use your own parental discretion.

But I was like, how fun if like our kids to watch that

and then we'll go see it?

Like all these things are like kind of in Missouri,

like Lewis and Clark sailed down the river.

We got the river.

Yeah, like all over St. Louis,

we have like Lewis and Clark signs of like where they traveled

during the Louisiana Purchase.

So 10 out of 10, so good.

Well, running point came out with a new season.

So I've been watching that. Oh my gosh, I cannot wait.

That's not a husband show for me, but I am lathered up.

I don't know when I'm going to have time between all these books,

but I'm excited for it.

Yeah, that's my like full laundry to clean the kitchen show.

Workout show.

Running point is so good.

Yeah, I like it.

Very different vibes from what you just described.

But good nonetheless.

Her outfits are amazing in that show.

Amazing. Yeah.

And then speaking of amazing outfits, I need to get some

because do you know what I'm doing in two weeks?

I'm going to DC.

Not to like do any DC things,

but because that's the closest airport to where the IIHS

does their crash testing.

And Mazda invited me and I'm reading Sam

to go watch the new CX5 get crash tested.

And I am.

I can't believe I get to go to one to the IHS

and meet Jessica Jermakian for the second time, like my idol.

Like I love the IHS.

And I'm so excited to see this car crash tested.

And Mazda, I reported on this a couple of weeks ago about,

you know, just using the AI and the tracking and the,

you know, just what that's going to look like.

Mazda's like really kind of.

I guess we could use the word like cutting edge,

leading the way on some of these initiatives.

So I'm very excited to talk to their like safety engineer.

Consumer Reports actually just named Mazda the safest car brand,

which was like so interesting to me.

OK.

And although I do think the CX5 is a little small,

I'm excited to look at it from like a teen car perspective

because just because it doesn't get rear facing car seats

doesn't mean it's a bad car. Yeah.

I cannot wait to see it.

I'm so jealous.

I know.

So what is one word of a crash test?

Close towed shoes.

I think you go athleisure.

I don't know.

I think I go like,

no, I think I go like business with tennis shoes.

But I am very excited.

Yeah, Kentucky Derby themed, which is like such a fun wedding theme.

And it was just Derby weekend this past weekend, which.

Oh my gosh, the female trainer.

I wish that was an incredible, that race was insane.

I am telling you, Elizabeth, I love, I don't like sports.

The horse was literally in the back of the pack and he persevered and he went out.

He took the longest route essentially and made it first.

It was incredible.

And he was like a 24 to one.

So that's big.

So anyway, their theme is, their shower theme is Derby.

So anyway, things I'm trying to find is an outfit for that.

I was like six months pregnant.

It was like an A line dress.

I just thought I could like go over the bump.

It was like had a belt and the other one that I got was from run the runway.

Sure.

I've ordered a lot.

It's just like things are just like not cute right now.

And I have this, like kind of like a flowy dress and I tried it on.

I'm like, okay, this fits, this works.

And then I tried it with my big floppy hat and I'm like, this is just like too

much coming at you at once.

So it's so hard to find outfits when you're pregnant.

I hate it.

It is so hard.

I and mom's sending me someone.

I'm like, mom, thank you, but I don't want to spend that kind of money on a dress that

is two to three sizes bigger than my regular size.

Like this, these are investment dresses and I'm not going to spend that kind of money

on them.

So that's like the other thing.

Maybe I should bring you the dress that I, I mean, why don't you try on the dress that

I wore to that wedding that I was thinking about wearing?

I don't know.

Maybe Cal, because I was pregnant with Libby when I wore it.

Maybe.

I don't know.

We'll figure it out.

And we've got to have Charlotte on the podcast because they're getting married for those

who you don't know in England.

They're having a destination.

The Kardashians are taking England.

Like we haven't even spoken about this.

I gotta, I gotta get my passport updated.

Like so bad.

We have to add that on our calendar and we both have to go and do that.

We should do that together.

We'll make a day of it.

Well, let's kind of, I kind of do need us to kind of move a little quicker because

I got to go do my in person.

know I had this today.

I thought it was tomorrow until matinee called and reminded me.

So is there anything to be said about Mother's Day?

Like your hopes, your plans, like your thoughts on Mother's Day in general, like where you're

trying to-

My thoughts on Mother's Day is I do always, I don't, when I don't put too much pressure

on the day, like I'm excited to, I don't take a necessarily, I don't necessarily look at

a day for me to be celebrated and more just like to celebrate all moms.

Like I really like that feeling, but I do also just like always hold the women who don't

talk to their moms, lost their moms or are hoping to be moms.

Yeah.

I just hold them in my heart because I feel like I have so much to celebrate on this day.

I have an amazing mom.

I love my relationship with my mom.

I'm a mom.

I have a great mother-in-law.

So I feel very blessed on this day, but I know that's not the case for some people.

So I just want everyone to like, I do think about you guys in those days, but I like the

day because I, it's, my husband's like kind of a busy body and he knows like on Mother's

Day, I don't want anything, but I just want us to all be together.

Like Tyler's the type to be like, I'll take the kids, you go relax.

I'm like, no, I want us to stay here.

He's like, well, then can I go do something?

No.

I want us to all, he doesn't understand that.

I want us to all be doing nothing but together.

Yeah.

Totally.

He doesn't like that.

Totally.

So on like holidays and Mother's Day, he has no choice, but to just like, just sit.

Yeah.

Just sit.

Just be there.

Just be present.

Yeah.

I don't want to break.

You know, I like, I like flowers.

Like I like, I like a brunch with my mom, but yeah, I don't know.

I agree.

I don't like to put a lot of pressure on the day because I feel like if you put any pressure

on, on a day, like you're always going to be disappointed.

So yeah, I'm just kind of, well, this year I'm not, I'm not doing anything on poetry.

So you know, and like the homemade gifts are amazing.

Just like the thoughtfulness, you know, not to forget my book club again, but one of the

book club girls last night was saying for Mother's Day, she just wants her husband to

write her a card because she's like, I know you appreciate me.

You tell me you appreciate me.

She's like, but there's just something about seeing it in the written word that just like

hits different.

Totally.

And I'm like, oh, I might like, maybe I'll ask for that.

Like just write me a card, let couple sentences on why you appreciate me.

Also like something to, something to look back to.

Yeah.

Doesn't have to be a novel.

Couple, maybe a paragraph.

Well, it could be a, it could fill a card.

It could fill, it could fill a card.

I mean, there's, there's plenty to say.

I agree because that also like makes, it makes you sit there, makes him sit there.

And he's got to fill the card to come up with some stuff.

So I'm actually, I haven't mentioned that to him yet.

And I might even go like, I might as go as far as to buy him the card and say fill

this out.

Maddy, Maddy always writes me a letter.

So I am expecting the letter.

And it's something that we grew up with eating almost every Sunday.

A kebab.

Oh, a kebab.

I don't know if we're eating enough kebabs.

It's such a fun way to, you know, there's so many options and it's just like it's something

on a stick.

You could do like peppers and steak and grill them.

She did turkey meatballs, cheddar and roasted peppers.

You could do a BLT.

You could do a caprese.

Like it's just a fun, you could do a burger kebab.

I'm just thinking I would like to see more kebabs this summer.

A fruit kebab, kind of a kebab girl summer, if you will.

Yeah.

Okay.

Sure.

Just kind of sit with that.

Sure.

Yeah.

Um, mom and dad always buy, uh, from like a grocery store that pre-makes kebabs and

it's like, they'll put like raw chicken or raw steak and then like onion, like a raw

slice of onion, raw tomato, raw pepper, and then you just grill them and then it all gets

like nice and grilled and cooked perfectly and it is really delicious.

So good.

I do like a kebab.

So it's kebab girl summer for me.

Dessert kebab.

I think the kids would have fun with making them.

So I'm going to just kind of ask myself all summer like, can it kebab?

Can it kebab?

Okay.

Yeah.

I like it.

So what I'm making tonight is, or this week is, um, so they haven't made in a long time

just because of the nature that I have, you know, kids who I have to cook for now and

that is buffalo, shredded buffalo chicken on a sweet potato.

And the reason I haven't made it is because I've been under this impression that kids

shouldn't like spicy things, but James will eat like a jalapeno chopstick and not even

notice that it has any spice in it.

And some people have messaged me like, Oh, no, like my kids like spicy food.

And I'm like, here's the thing, I make meals all the time that my kids don't eat.

They just like go to bed having not eaten dinner.

Like it's very normal in my household.

So I'm like, what if I just made the feel of the food that Maddie and I like to eat

and there's a chance they will like it.

And I won't, I'll make it like a little bit less spicy and I'll get all for them like

a side, you know, that I know that they'll eat.

But I'm just going to try to offer my kids like a buffalo, a shredded buffalo chicken

in the crock pot, which is the best.

You take some chicken breasts, you put them in the crock pot with some butter, some buffalo

sauce.

I like the primal kitchen one and a little bit of apple cider vinegar and like a ranch

packet or ranch seasoning to season the chicken with and then you just cook it and shred it.

And then I top it with a on top of a sweet potato.

And I like to add like a, you know, like a chopped steakhouse salad bag that has like

a blue cheese dressing in it, delicious.

So good.

I hope that works out for you.

My kids are such whims.

I made buttered noodles with garlic salt two nights ago and George said it was too spicy.

Here's the thing.

The reason I'm willing to do it is because again, like I will make plain chicken or steak

or like literally anything that they should like and they just won't eat it.

So I'm like, I really have nothing to lose, frankly.

Yeah, you have nothing to lose.

Nothing to lose everything to gain.

That sounds good.

Maybe I'll have that for lunch and I could do a buffalo chicken.

You want to like a little lettuce wrap or something?

So good.

Yeah, so good.

Like one of my, like we should do a great eight.

We should remind the great eight segment and we should do great eight of chicken flavor profiles.

I'm thinking buffalo.

I'm thinking teriyaki.

I'm thinking chicken parm.

I'm thinking lemon pepper.

I'm thinking barbecue.

I'm thinking parm, mejan, chicken, parm, marinara.

I do think buffalo will win though.

So I don't know.

I think it's kind of a moot point.

Maybe it is a buffalo out.

What's the second best or best ways to consume buffalo flavor green dip, salad,

wang, wrap, sandwich, nachos.

The Car Moms are getting ready for Mother's Day. Of course, Lizz's day might not be all sunshine and flowers as this is the weekend she chose to potty train James. Hopefully it will all go her way. Later in the episode, Kelly and Lizz share what they REALLY want for Mother's Day this year. Speaking of James, he's about to turn three and Lizz has some BIG plans. Literally BIG plans as she is renting a dinosaur fossil activation. This could be the next major kid's birthday party activity. Kelly has been in a content drought, lacking anything good to watch with her husband. That was till they discovered 'The Men Who Built America' and now she is hooked. Lizz on the other hand is completely obsessed with the new season of Running Point. But content watching really won't be a priority for Kelly in the next two weeks as she makes her way to D.C. to see something REALLY cool! A really important question in today's Ditch the Drive-Thru: are we eating enough kabobs? Kelly is on a kebab kick, and there is so much you could do! Lizz is experimenting with spicy food for James and son far it's going really well.
