hello and welcome to this carpod I'm Ken
I'm felipo and there's a lot to discuss
today starting with we have new merch go
to merch.con bids.com there's new
t-shirts there's a keychain that says
this on it there's other keychain I'm
wearing a shirt with my face on it folks
that's as good as it gets here look look
at my face shirt can you see it yeah
yeah anyway we got merch okay go to the
merch store buy things there's even a
license plate frame it says Quirk and
features some of the merch is great some
of merch is not so great I'm just going
to say it I'm just going to say it but
something that I legitimately really
like this the best merch we I've ever
had there's even a hat that says this
look at this hat I would be willing to
put money on the fact that the ones that
you like are the ones that sell the
worst cuz nobody else s
and all right you have such a keen
fashion sense right I do have a keen
fashion sense after this podcast you
will make me a list of the three you
like most I'll bet you $20 that they
sell worse okay wow we've all Beed
witness to that okay uh time for the
news time for the news and we start with
the news Donald Trump was elected
president now I don't want to get
political here I don't want fipo to cry
I don't want Kenan to tell us that
Emily's dad was there on January 6 I
don't I don't need to hear it anymore I
want to talk
about I want to talk about what this
means for the automobile industry
felipo it's really interesting cuz there
there's not a clear-cut answer there's a
lot of things that are happening so when
we were kind of prepping the set of
topics I started thinking through what I
think the like main effects are and it
gets really complicated because there
are been a lot there's been a lot of
talk on tariff about from the Trump
campaign about tariff including on
Mexico a lot of cars that are sold in
the US are built in Mexico the
implication would be that will raise the
cost of cars sold in the US by a fair
amount Honda for example builds hundreds
of thousands of cars in Mexico Ford does
as well lot of automakers volag that
would change Dynamics a lot yeah but
will that actually happen to what extent
the the Trump campaign and in general
their expectation that autom
manufacturers will benefit from a trump
presidency but like in what way right
there's a lot of question marks here
it's an interesting situation I think
that the primary thing that I tariffs is
an interesting conversation in itself
you know NAFTA has allowed broad ability
for the automakers to produce in Mexico
and Canada without any sort of I have a
suspicion that's I despite blustery
language from Trump I have a suspicion
there's not going to be ter built so
there's simply too many of them it would
also be a violation of our of NAFTA but
but that could be changed repeal other
other trade agreements have I do suspect
that Chinese tariffs will continue and
and or increase and any automakers who
thought that building electric cars in
China was a good idea up until now which
already is not many because full star
exclusive I was in Canada last week and
I saw model 3 with a VIN that started
with L and I was thinking to myself
that's a China car they don't sell those
things in the United States they want in
Canada starting very soon because
there's 200% tariffs is that right
Canada is doing a tariff also so anyway
I do have a suspicion that um the more
important than the tariffs the electric
vehicle incentives will be the I agree
especially with the Republicans in
control of the Senate and tight in the
house I mean you have to assume that all
of those EV uh I wouldn't call them
mandates but certainly incentives to get
people to buy them and the automakers
are then heavily incentivized to make
them because have they're they have gi
giant Financial incentives those might
change the big question mark then though
becomes most manufacturers have gone
very far in especially from an R&D
perspective on electric vehicles and
they built because a lot of these tax
incentives are required that the car is
built in the US right they've gone all
in and also building factories for their
EVS right so you can have manufacturers
that decide okay well we're going to
ease off of our EV plans but they also
probably haven't developed a new gas
engine or or like new chassis for L and
I've actually I haven't been it's it's I
haven't been entirely thrilled with the
way that the Biden Administration or
previous and current Trump
administrators have sort of peacee these
it's difficult if you're an automaker to
comply with this stuff because every
year it seems that these things change
and now they're they're so complicated
at the point that it's difficult to even
consumers to even understand there's a
there's a PR a means test essentially a
a price test there's an income test
right for some of them for some of the
cars have to be built in the United
States or some some large portion of the
need to be built Ken doesn't care about
this is interesting this is real this
will Define the car that you buy 20
years from now I I'm regardless I'm not
sure what's going to happen but I do
have a suspicion that that the story
will be tariffs and the definite story
will be EVs and whether I also think
like everybody's talking about oh people
voted for Trump for this reason that
reason you know the electric cars and
the the the change that the Democrats
are pushing in that way I have a
suspicion in some cases did contri
people make fun of conservatives make
fun of electric cars Etc they're not
ready we think we're not ready the power
Grid's not ready we always hear those
talking points and this was a little bit
of rebuke of that Elon Musk was a huge
surrogate for Trump support of trump
it's an odd thing it is an odd thing it
doesn't make any sense to me personally
right and then like you worry a little
bit about tariffs on especially
components that are necessary for batter
development but the industry group that
lobbies for that is a combination of
Tesla rivan and a couple of other
manufacturers well Elon Musk is presum
will be in favor under the Trump
Administration right how does that what
does that actually look like and that's
and that's one of the reasons why just
Trump talks a big game in a lot of ways
but he's got a fairly broad Coalition
and can't go too far in any one dire as
worried as people get I think that this
is a good example of an area where he
can't go too crazy because he upsets not
only his largeest supporter but a guy
who honestly probably helped deliver him
right some some portion of his
substantial Victory it's also such a
different landscape than 2030 years ago
I think 203 years ago you talked a lot
about the big three American
manufacturers and those being the people
that are building the US and those
unions being the ones that might have a
lot of democratic backing or republican
backing well the unions were very split
in what Canada they supported it's not
just the big three that are building
cars in the US Hyundai Kia Nissan Toyota
Honda to some extent super they all have
huge plans so like what is the story now
it's it's no longer as clearcut as
American manfacturers yeah yeah yeah
it's definitely an interesting thing
it'll from a from Automotive perspective
it will be interesting to see what
happens and I do have a sense that EVS
may not be as heavily incentivized going
you gotum JD Vance at some point
apparently Trump's vice president elect
came out with an idea that they would
start incentivizing simply American
built cars gas or electric which is an
interesting thought um that could also
have some benefits if that ever went
anywhere I mean there's any it's
anybody's guess and I have to say I
think the automakers are not entirely
thrilled with that that they've they've
gone in one direction for the last few
years now they got to go back and they
were back in the first place it's a
tough it really is a tough game to play
If you're trying to cuz manufacturing
has set up years in advance there's also
a lot of there was a lot of lobbying
around the EV tax credit I think the end
solution was one that generally
manufacturers were okay with orms were
okay with Cafe standards though and
emission standards there was a lot more
debate around and it's we I think the
prevailing theor that those will be
pulled back a little bit right what does
that mean maybe not all that much I mean
like who's selling cards that are that
dirty at this point where the matter
that much I I don't know I will say
consumer demand does seem to line up
more with the Trump administration's
sentiment than the Biden Administration
sentiment in terms of people kind of
walking back from EVs and we see that
with the automakers that are every week
now one more seems to be walking back
its electric vehicle goal um but at the
same time we're in a global economy like
making cars just for the US might not be
as lucrative as and China's crazy EV
China's crazy EV so in other words we we
have no insights here just a lot of
questions I remember I used to think
that I would love to run car company and
I'm so glad that I'm not now life is
very different than 20 years ago when I
was sitting at Porsche like I could do
this there's you got to think China now
it used to be North America was
everything you got to think EVS you got
there's a ton of politics involved now
it's a bizarre situation and you know
porsa comes out with the McAn V and it's
like this was a Miss well it seemed like
a huge hit when they were developing it
yep but to be honest with you it it has
also always been that way I mean in in
the 70s when emissions start stuff
became much more strict I manufacturers
had a lot of difficulty meeting true and
it none of has changed Porsche is a
great example when they had to develop
that that Andreas sper talks about that
like turn signal they had to spend
hundreds of thousands to develop for
specifically because of the US dot
standards like there have always been
like for our California tail lights
there have always been like great
examples that's true I I get the sense
that there's probably more now and more
uncertain the automakers now but that
you're right there there's there's
always this has always been part of the
there are massive compliance departments
in these companies complicated business
my big concern is for components as
someone who owns an older car or older
foreign car that have to bring in a lot
of components that are producing
other and so I know like I'm worried
about that and Ryan's worried about that
for his customers too so we'll certainly
as if the ether 95 wasn't expensive
enough to keep I'm glad that you're that
that is top of mine for you Ken well for
me all the news from the week I
appreciate that E39 Parts availability
is like the take something I thought
about it's the takeway there was a lot I
thought about but that was one of the
things ter E39 parts are not I'm I'm
hopeful that the tariffs are not
implemented at the level that we're
being discussed um we'll next news story
a yes SEMA is here SEMA SEMA SEMA is the
specialty equip manufacturers
Association thank you very much I know
everything you look it up uh no no I
just do that cuz I love SEMA I
legitimately love SEMA it goes on in
Vegas every year there's crazy stuff the
automakers got into it 10 20 years ago
started making their own crazy stuff
Toyota has built this which is a twodo
convertible 4Runner looking like the old
school 80s ones with a roll bar and a
surfboard and it's cool
wow you don't think it's cool no what
really I mean the Tacoma exists yeah but
this is it's a it's got seats back there
dude I'm going to tell you this
whoever's at Toyota who helped do this I
want to buy this car at the end of SEMA
I want to buy this car at the end of
SEMA do you think you wouldn't no why
not it's cool you're not buying this
anyway no but I would I love old SEMA
cars like love to a way that I can't
even explain and there are some that I
absolutely would buy I have always
wanted an old like an old concept car if
I could buy a Cadillac the Cadillac CN I
would do it to oh of course but that's
different that's that's that is very
different it is different than a four
run SEMA it's than a 4run that's had
it's you know back C it's more than that
it doesn't even have back doors this is
a this is a serious build serious effort
went into this I just to make a single
one that's going to be static yeah but
it's cool you guys don't understand cool
you never have I don't like SEMA at all
card that I think Kenan will most
appreciate that is at SEMA in theory I
saw an article about this I know nothing
else yeah not of el there's apparently a
company that is making E46 based V8
powered station wagons ooh uh speed
wagon R is K hates all modded cars
that's that's like every kenon dream
rolled into one I don't want it it's
like it's at SEMA no thanks there's
literally no information about it
whatsoever looks that little that
little Motor Co pull this up K that's go
to
models no scroll up Scroll up models oh
models I don't know how many models they
have look at this that looks cool I go
back up there's no picture this is as
good as it gets but look at that that
looks like an M Coupe but not no go back
up I want to see it I want to look at
see blur out image you can see the idea
of it doesn't even look like an E46 Wag
It just apparently it will have a
sixspeed manual an lsv8 uh 500
horsepower and it's bed 46 that's great
awesome put an LS in an E46 whoop the
freaking do who cares like anybody can
do could knock that out in a long
weekend with a couple of cold one
absolutely Veterans Day is coming up
maybe we should get rat E46 on
Craigslist from a veteran go up to
Oceanside that's that'll be like our
veterans play and then we throw an LS in
it over the weekend play yeah but
exactly that's that's why it's not
something if he and I can do it I I
would respect somebody who put an s54
and madeen 46 M3 touring but like agreed
I but and left whe silver thought you
would be into this I know why would I
care it's an LS and an E46 that's not
something it's it's a fully different
design it's a fully separate design also
their tagline is analog is better not
but you know what was great the original
car the E46 M3 was fine all right I
think we got there was the e463 wagon
kenon this looks cool this blurry shot
looks cool I'm just saying it looks like
it has flared wide fenders it looks cool
I'm just putting it out there I will be
intrigued to see what that they actually
show one there are all these companies
out there trying to be like singer and
this is like that but for BMW wagons
that's what I want I hate a lot of the
singer fakers I even don't really like
singer but I'm ready for some of them to
come along and make cool cars I just
don't care nothing SEMA is real it's all
modded crap that I don't care about I
just I can't imagine a place I'd like to
be less than SEMA what about all the
cool stuff there what about this nothing
cool show us the coolest car at SEMA all
right this is a Kia ev9 Adventure no but
I want you to tell me how Adventure is
spelled uh I will not call it the K the
ev9 adventure I will only call it the
ev9
advntr correct adventure adventure
adventure this is the ev9 adventure it's
the it's the it's the Advent Advent
Advent so tell us what's adventury about
it it's got some uh tires looks like
that is what is Adventure about it
congratulations and like the little
light bar treatment they took it to to
some sort of uh Jurassic Park likea some
slightly elevated piece how does have
access to this sort of forest aren't
they in Southern California seriously
where where is this this isn't in Vegas
this isn't in Southern California where
did they take this picture this is right
behind like some huge distribution
facility oh
little totally like oh there a couple
trees there you know what they did
wherever the ev9 is built they just took
one out back let throw some tires on it
the other side of this there's a
hospital and some bunch of big box
stores yep and they were just hoping to
God that nobody came over the the the
fence or whatever the left the the part
Giant empty parking lot to come down
here and see this thing fun fact parts
of it are built in West Point Georgia
okay that's probably where they took
this picture uh there this is another
SEMA concept card but Kia would I think
build this no would there be demand do
you think for an off-road minivan esque
SUV that's electric let me think about
it mini offer no no so literally no one
would buy this are you saying that all
the people that bought it for efficiency
and practicality and didn't buy it R1 or
another off-road card but want it to
look like that but are willing to trade
100 miles of range for the T yeah I mean
it would be who who there would be a
massive range trade-off It's Not Just
Tires is probably heavy there's probably
a steel bumper you buy it you you bu a a
tierd pro it doesn't look that good I
think the EV 9's drawback is it's the
way it's styled I think its benefit is
everything else yep but this maybe helps
the the light treatment helps the light
treatment helps yeah this is a car that
everybody's most excited about from SEMA
I'm most excited about the 4Runner this

our next news story kenon all right
Aston Martin now Aston Martin
traditionally is a brand that makes cool
cars and struggles financially that's
kind of what they do to be clear making
and selling two very different yes that
is also true so they recently reported
that they're having some financial
problems here not them I know they're
reporting $1.8 million in losses per day
which you know but for some of us that
that seems like a lot who hasn't lost a
million eight in a day right they also
are down
17% in sales the dbx itself is down 52%
really yes and and they're also taking
on more debt to invest more in the
company they just took on$ 1.57 billion
dollar more in debt so they're in a hole
and they're just going to keep on
digging can I ask you a question I
understand the dbx I understand the the
race car do are they involved in the
manufacturing of heavy
I can't remember what the LA why they
just take the tractors out of the out of
the back for the photo you think laen
Str was like no let's just do it let's
get it done the only way to get the
Formula One car in the shot though they
took it and craned it in and then just
gently set it down this very deep grass
this looks very thick um but it's not a
surprise this is Aston Martin is a brand
that is desirable conceptually to a lot
of people but when it comes to actually
selling cars the market is the disagrees
and they they've sold many many times
Ford had them for a while I think
them for a little bit too but La stroll
owns them now but that's only so his son
can drive a Formula 1 car and so like it
just it it just ends up Asar just gets
passed around and passed around and
passed around the the famous line that
regular car reviews guy said about
Maserati that Maserati is what rich
people think that is what poor people
think that rich people drive that's kind
of true of as like almost all of the
people who love Aston Martin are like
people who drive Toyotas and people who
are actually in the wor sphere of owning
high-end cars I don't really want an as
Martin no they're they're big luxury
cars they're not that sporty they don't
really have much of a reputation for
like very special high no no it's
someone who wants to be largely esoteric
because you're comparing it against
other cars that are very good and you're
like or I could have an Aston and it's
like it's that's as far as the thought
goes though honestly they're very
available it's never hit me and I owned
an Aston it's never hit me like buying
these cars I could also think about
right now there are some where it's like
you I mean the original like DB the DB5
is like unbelievable make money from
this except for when they make some for
track use only as a new car here are the
good AST I'm going tell you right now
okay please okay the DB5 and db4 and db6
that whole era any of the any cars that
is any car that is a DB5 or a car that
felipo would not be able to tell apart
from a DB5 is a great ason Mark I I I'm
good db7 and up so yeah Enzo era Aston
Martin right pretty good okay the
original laganda yeah God Ser well the
series two you're talking about the anti
I'll take a series one two or three the
series two three and four they're the
anteaters and the one looks very
different but we'll move on the oh yeah
you're right the the original original
laganda looks as different uh and then
that's kind of what about the current or
current the laganda TOA the 177 which
has a square steering wheel and they
made some cars for the sultan that were
heinous but I want them all sure so
that's kind of it the Bulldog is another
is one the Bulldog's okay I haven't
liked a car that Aston made therefore
since what does that put me at well yeah
well the 177 177
2010 off it's probably that too yeah
it's been 15 years it's been a while I I
I thought everybody agreed that the dbx
was like fine the the valky is Valkyrie
is yeah the valkyri is cool but the dbx
is fine
theb2 is good all the cars are good
they're all legitimately all of them are
good the gbx is great it's a great car
it's too expensive and the brand name is
just not there and you know that when
you are buying Aston Martin you are
buying massive depreciation ABS you know
it as fact you want to be the third
owner at least really to to just that
simply isn't true like you could go get
an Urus which looks worse is not as nice
inside is basically a Cayenne but you
ain't going to lose $200,000 in the
first long weekend that you own the car
right
right that's yeah so not and that's what
all factors into them losing so much
money I mean who wants to buy a car
you're going to lose tons and tons of
money on and and so I I don't so th they
have to subsidize the cars like crazy
they're incredibly available every ason
dealer you go by has stacks of what
should be very special rare cars sitting
out front and so one wonders you know if
they sell again you know I don't know
exactly what lawen strolls plan is with
them but we'll if you're you how do you
fix Martin oh good question I that's a
really great question you know what I
think you do you abandon the whole brand
principle and go mid-engine manual
transmission sports car wow make
something that Ferrari make what Ferrari
and Lambo won't make I don't disagree
abandon the brand principle walk away
from the long GT cars just straight walk
away be like we're doing this to save
the brand like the cayenne and they
built that thing and brought us lava
y well it is I mean the the hope the the
D or the dbx was kind of their ha Mary
to like to save the brand to make an SUV
but it didn't work so you got a point
it's like go back just make some crazy
stuff if they made a beautiful like
Aston Martin level beautiful mid-engine
exotic car that was good with a V8 and
then have James Bond drive it in the
next jamesbond
movie perhaps you got you got a Ferrari
f8 competitor whatever the new Ferrari's
called out and no one pays attention
anymore with a manual transmission a
beautiful car beautiful brand name
that's what people want look at what
people are I don't agree with that look
what people are paying $300,000 for on
the used Market you think you wouldn't
go and buy one of these things Gordon
morray Academy t50 he sold five billion
of those at $7 billion a car I don't
know the exact numbers but it would
that's a that's a slight close
estimate close estimate it wouldn't
can't be worse than what it do now I'll
give you that it can't be worse than how
it is now yeah also I I consider the
sale of ason Martin as a brand McLaren
to just be like Financial moving around
money totally that doesn't impact
anything I completely
people like oh it's bankrupt again well
that just mean someone buys all the the
name and starts doing basically the same
stuff again with similar assets yep and
it never really does anything correct In
Our Lifetime we're going to look back on
aston's best period is that 056 era they
had V advantage in DB9 they had some
good stuff they had good momentum
Vanquish us one of my all time favorite
cars they came out of that db7 era and
they had like good cars good timing and
didn't really Capital they built three
cars that were technically different but
looked identical them and infinity were
killing it in ' 05
okay next news story yes Lamborghini so
Lamborghini on the other side of the
Exotic industry Lamborghini has
announced they're doing great so the
roost is sold out for 2026 that's how
you say it that's how people that's how
you're supposed to say itto is has a
2year waiting list and they announced
that they have made they have uh $2.6
billion in Revenue so far this year and
they've delivered 8,411 cars in 2024 how
many cars did Lamborghini sell I have no
concept apparently in 23 they sold just
over 10,000 cars the first time they
ever broke the 10,000 Mark and that was
an increase of 10% from 22 and now
they're killing it again yeah and and we
haven't wrapped up the year yet I mean
it is it is it really speaks to
something bigger I think I think
Lamborghini is kind of in their what I
was like Crown their Luca deont Zolo era
there was a period where Ferrari was
kind of an obscure manufacturer that
made cars that were cool but they
weren't selling a ton of them but then
all of a sudden like really the late '
9s early L show up went for Lucas showed
up in 19 he took over in 1989 I believe
when Enzo Ferrari died in 1988 and and
immediately started making it more
commercially successful and and
obviously the Formula 1 team then
started to do really well those sorts of
things it really came together I think
Lamborghini is on the precifice of being
that their their sales numbers are
incredible the cars are really cool
there's an increasing interest in their
older cars as you well know and so I
think that the brand has you know you
always used to be the you know the rich
you know kind of drug dealers drove
Lamborghini
people drive and you know one great
example I totally agree with everything
you said I think it's it's completely
clearly true Lamborghini is totally and
by the way Ferrari hasn't it's not a
zero sum game Ferrari continues to excel
but Lamborghini is excelling in a way
they never have before and I think a
great example of of the proof of that is
the RTO compared to the sf90 the sf90 is
a walking Automotive disaster they are
losing enormous amounts of money in the
secondary market like a laughable
depreciation situation that Ferrari has
not seen in since Enzo's lifetime I mean
it's crazy what's going on in the sf90
world meanwhile revel's on a two-year
weight list you and I could get an sf90
tomorrow if we walked into the
dealership and by the way we'd get price
we'd get money off better there might be
some money on the hood there it's got to
be but it it is yeah it is it is
interesting uh I'm very curious to see
how it continues to develop for
Lamborghini because to be honest with
you I as a DieHard lifelong Ferrari fan
I never took Lamborghini seriously for
the longest time because for exact
reasons I outlined y but now I they make
cars that I have to admit Urus is not my
thing but they do make cars that are
inherently more desirable sells a and
it's like Cayenne honestly like like
they've they've bankrolled a lot of this
company's success on the on the back of
this SUV and it's kind of allowed them
to push the envelope even more with RTO
I got to be honest I drove RTO I thought
it was the coolest thing in the world
drove amazingly do wish The Styling were
a little bit more extreme I agree with
that and but I will say like RTO is
actually another example of Lamborghini
has been eating Ferrari's lunch in the
mid-engine V12 world since the mura
Right mura comes out it's a huge success
Daytona Ferrari's like oh God we got to
go man engine so they go man engine the
boxer and the test Roa trying to beat
out the Countach they fail and
eventually Retreat to the 550 marij I
don't know exactly what you mean by fail
they sold a commercially they were way
more successful and yet everyone prefers
the Lambos very much including the car
market today where kach is a million
bucks and in a Tess Roa you can still
find one for like 875 had the
differential explode which most of them
have right well let's not get into
reliability have to pull the entire
engine and transmission one unit with a
crane just to service the car regularly
he is pulled out by George Evans with a
tow truck okay a guy in guy in with a
couple of cold ones the entire dve line
what what dides they tow with but I
don't know but I will say I have
pictures of when they did the major
service of my Caro 5 and guess what
they're using to pull out the engine a
tow truck presumably the same but but to
your point one wonders if that's also
not supply and demand if there are there
are a lot of tester roas around
therefore the price stays regardless it
is clear that Lamborghini is in a is on
an amazing path and I I to be honest as
a Lamborghini owner oh which I barely
think of myself as but I guess I am yeah
it's hard to imagine as a Lamborghini
owner I do wish they would go into
Motorsport I think that the one thing
they're missing from from especially the
old cars becoming like really beloved is
the Motorsports success that Ferrari has
which I think will always Elevate
Ferrari to a higher level but the
difference they do have some cars that
compete in M the difference is Ferrari
has done that since day one they have
always been a race team that's their
thing they but I really think that if
you just show up late and you're really
successful you can still have that
history like your Ferrari but Formula 1
one of the largest spectator sports in
the world is Ferrari and Ferrari is
Formula 1 that level I don't think you
have you probably have to do something
else you absolutely do and Ferrari now
is doing very well in Lal so like you
have to do Lama that would be something
for that would be cool as hell purpose
buil LMP cars going up next to each
other win on Sunday sell on Monday or
win overnight on a Friday through Sunday
Escapade at Lama in the rain and then
sell on money although Lamborghini
already has the YouTuber presence every
single YouTuber has a Lamborghini and
that's got to be worth something okay on
the subject of Lamborghini I have some
Lamborghini talking to do in our top car
segment but first and important
announcement cars and bids will be at
radwood radwood SoCal which is going to
be in Long Beach cars and bids will be
there I will not be I really wish I was
I love radwood dearly dearly I went to
one a couple years ago my Lamborghini
won radwood 19 in Sona thank you so much
thank you thank you I'd like to thank my
friends Pro The Academy of course but uh
car I'm not going to be there but cars
and bids will yep so go go find our tent
go check out some of the cars that we'll
have on display there including a card
that'll be live on cars very soon yeah
and go meet our team I I won't be there
either to be clear s our producer Sean
will be there and he is way cooler than
all of us and he has a tipped frog this

manscaped.com move on to the to car
segment I want to talk about Lamborghini
oh Lamborghini we were just talking
about Lamborghini lambor Lamborghini
this show Lamborghini I have a theory
that Lamborghini supercars are the next
Ferrari
supercars like Lamborghini Supercar
meaning Ferrari the 288 GTO the F40 the
F50 the Enzo the La Ferrari and whatever
this new one is called I can't
remember f80 the BMW f80 y okay that's
like the thing that rich guys have right
really and the3 Lamborghini
mura Countach Diablo Mercy I think that
one day having those big four will also
be something okay right now you can buy
all four of those for $3.8 million if
you go to Ferrari calculated this last
night you got to spend 20 million to get
the big the big whatever the I don't
even know in the f80 who knows what it's
going to cost 3.5 million I think where
it's going to start at least they said
but if you get one and you won't so 25
million to get the Ferrari supercars
right now the Lambos are are four I well
I understand conceptually what you're
saying I think it gets confusing because
like sure you could get a kunos which
one of the 11 variants do you have to
get the ultimate of each one and then
which one's the ultimate of each one and
so like that becomes an argument so I
think it's a little bit cloudier than
what you're saying exactly but I agree
it's going to be quite like Ferrari but
like even Ferrari isn't like Ferrari
anymore because like which law Ferrari
do you get the appar or not do you count
the dayt sp3 do you count the Dayton sp3
do you etc etc it's now starting to get
a little cloudy in the Ferrari World
it's starting to fracture right and so
that will be true but the lambo the
lambo supercars mark my words will be
like the Ferrari Supercar I it the
market agrees with you and that there
has been a dramatic appreciation of all
the cards they're going up and I there
was a time when the Ferrari super cars
were just not all that valuable I mean
288 GTO when I was like in college were
like $250,000 cars yeah f40s were 350
you know I reviewed an F40 one time and
I said it cost in the title I wrote it
cost a million dollars to try to get
some sweet sweet clicks and I got hate
mail about how I was lying about how
much it cost if I could buy that car for
a million dollars now I'd eat fipo if
someone came in and said I'll give you
F40 for a million you got to eat fipo
that's all right you'd say do you have
another one I'll buy I'll take two I'll
take two I'll eat
Kennon the Lamborghini super cars you
should think about this as your next
investment thinking about this was uh
okay filipo filipo is being KY because
he wants we had a incident the last time
he was on this podcast remember and now
he has to explain yes I was gone last
week uh cuz I was on the east coast and
while I was there I test drove a 997.2
base Cabret mhm and you said I told you
I'm not going to talk about you buying a
car again unless you buy that car right
well I I it's not here now um nor is it
in my legal possession uh did you steal
it no um it was fine I liked it I would
buy one the guy just wants five grand
more than I think it's worth okay that's
fine he did go down a grand on price no
additional interest since he and I text
sometimes I told him to to to keep
texting me as he lowers the price and
then eventually we we'll get to an
agreement D it's like having a Nick here
eventually get to an agreement it was
fine though I didn't love it what do you
mean you didn't love it I liked it it
wasn't 345 horsepower whatever
345 can I make a suest is what has can
my suggestion is you will not love
anything you're not the type of person
who loves should I just give up he loves
I think you should you I have thought
about this a lot you had all the special
cars Miata you had a Miata you had the
the 500 a bar you had an manual X5 which
is a very well-known Enthusiast
automobile sporty indeed high
performance you had that Corvette but
you're not pursuing one like I think
maybe it's just time you say you're
never going to find the car and you
should just get get some sort of Aura
well I already have my two cars they're
fine how about an aura which Aura you
really like like a boring one like a non
for a while you were pushing an an NSX
no I don't think you'd fall in love with
that I would you should get you know
what you should get you should get the
two the 2.2 CL that came out in 97 with
the line down the middle of it with an
automatic and just be like that's well
the automatic will will stop working
tomorrow so no no that was that was a
later
problem I you seem to conceptually have
owned these cars in your mind already
and like are done and that may be enough
for you that's so true that's so true
that's an interesting point he gets in
his head about the cars he thinks about
them he he not only thinks about buying
them but then thinks about not having
them he has the entire ownership journey
in his mind the best part and then he
moves on yeah well I I I am keeping my
my eyes very much out for other things
that seem interesting you're not going
to find anything I hate to break it to
you yeah I think you're kind of I think
at some point I will make an impulse
purchase but it'll be like a 987 boxer
I'll bet you you don't I would put money
on this i' I've bought other cars kind
of un yeah you bid on a lot he car the
problem is that what felip buys on
impulse and what he actually wants are
very different he buys impulse stuff
because it's convenient to him cheap and
he actually wants stuff that would take
some effort to find like a 997.2 cab an
S apparently you want more power to find
a good one will take effort you need to
set searchs you need to bid on stuff on
our site and the others you need to like
go after stuff on Ren list or in like
the Porsche Club Magazine like that's
how you would have to do it and you're
never going to put in that level of
effort but I do check Facebook
Marketplace a lot that's because you're
looking for local stuff that's cheap yep
at the end of his street that's what
he's but if you want to find if you want
to really find like a great example of
go you have to be like focused you'll
never be I think this comes in es and
flows comes in waves for I was serious I
I was looking at other things I was I
had reached out to other other cars okay
the rule is made on the pod
with cars with fipo anymore unless he
has like got the cash in his pocket he's
got the cash no in
hiset I want him have to hold the title
In His Hands I'm not going to buy a
$40,000 carard with cash that seems
insane okay Kenan we move on what do you
got for us well I want I discovered
something interesting recently it
actually came up in an Instagram post
but you know the Ferrari Enzo you're
familiar with the Enzo Ferrar
Ferrari I'm going type in Ferrari ends
up because otherwise the guy comes up
yep that is the unfortunate part of this
now you are aware of course that it has
two mirrors like most cars
however they're different sizes if you
look closely the one on the driver side
is longer than the one on the passenger
side now I suppose this is because like
it needed to clear like the visibility
needed to but I had never noticed this
until somebody Point don't you agree it
looks the same yeah I'm s
is they are actually different I think
the drive covered it um but there there
are different sizes like which I can't
wait go back go down go down there's the
Instagram post go
down oh we don't have
what you oh it's a video it's a
video but I I never like I had never
noticed that okay so this is the EUR a
video look they're completely different
sizes no way it's not even close it's
not even close the mirrors are totally
124 E-class did
this I do actually but look at that
that's very different I agree with you
wow who knew but I never once noticed it
looking at the car like and I have
stared at Enzo for a while look don't
you agre the main thing we notice is
that it looks like a grasshopper and
that the front overhang is as long as a
softball uh field it look that one looks
good with no front overhang that's how
it should have looked o e that looks
like half an in
yeah I the Enzo I think the Enzo's aged
actually remarkably well personally oh W
that mirror looks huge can ask a
question you've driven a Mazerati mc2
yeah true there too or no oh that's
something that we'll have to find out uh
but before we do I have one more talk
car segment that it's finally time for
me to get off my chest in public uhoh as
we've talked about in private many times
what is this where the Ford Crown
Victoria yeah the Crown Vic as they say
a hero to the blue collar car community
the Grand Marquee you go to any small
town in Indiana and there's some kid
who's like us who just wants to screw
around with cars and he's driving a
Crown Vic right like that's the thing
about that car they were cheap they were
cheap to own people drift them people
crash them into stuff people mod them
for Destruction Derby's and off-roading
it's like the blue collar dream car do
people still do that or that end 2012
it's still going on and you know what
the weird thing about that is the name
it's called The Crown Victoria it's
named
for like the it's got like the most
British name like the most like British
like royalty name in history like this
car is there's not a Crown Victoria in
the country that isn't driving around
with like crushed energy drink cans in
the back wheel in the back passenger
foot well and it's the Crown Victoria
how come this is never discussed it's
such a good point great question this is
sometimes you have these ideas and I
have a list on my phone where I write
them down I brought this one up to him
recently and that's why he's mentioning
Victoria it is insane it is insane that
the Blue colar Hero car has the most
proper stately British name if Jaguar
came out with a flagship luxury sedan
and called it the Crown Victoria that
would make sense and it would cost
$200,000 unfortunately they're taking a
year off from from the automotive
industry right to do ski instruction in
Aspen right but instead Ford did it on
their like taxi that kids buy and mod
cheaply great point and spray paint the
body because you can do that why there
must be a story behind why they chose
well it's a historic name I mean there
was a time when the Crown Victoria was
like the top trim of their LTD and it
was supposed to be the luxury one but it
deaded and now and now it's like
literally the hero of red State America
the Crown Victoria and it's the Crown
Victoria so stupid it is a good point
how did this happen how do we allow
ourselves to be invaded by the British
even though we beat them the first time
may they they final they got the last
lap they got the last lap took a couple
hundred years but they got the last
La okay we need to move on to our market
report which is not brought to you by
cars and bids it's brought to you by
very distinct very different the cars
and& bids app y you can download it on
the Apple App Store right now go to
carsand bids.com
apppp no don't going fine go to the App
Store download the cars and bids app
Sean's m
what it's an app it's cars and Bs apps
form in the description you'll find a
link and also you can go to the iOS it
is my personal favorite way to consume
cars and bids on the app y because I can
bid you can get post notifications you
can get alerted when a car you like
lists I do get alerts good is if when I
bid it's not actually a feature we off
can't for a user but yeah okay the cars
in Bap anyway market report filipo tell
us a couple things yeah um we have
somebody that we that's very exciting
selling a car with us right now is it
Bernie made off uh no it is we actually
have two people one is is a a short form
Creator called slick Stevie who's
selling a Baja Bug with it I love this
thing it's so cool so good that is so
cool it's so cool he bought it on our
site a few months ago now he's selling
it after making it Herby believe it or
not he bought it largely looking like
this and now he made it even cooler wait
go back to the rear photo please for a
second what is this bizarre Florida
license plate it's a couple people out
on like a on like a fan boat Florida Bay
Forever Florida Bay forever man Florida
really does it anyway this is on the
right now the other car that we have
live right now that's really exciting is
a Lotus Amira sold by none other than
the stradman the stradman not a stradman
the stradman this is James James I know
James personally yeah I don't know his
last name I think it might be stradman
but he still has a mirror with us which
is very exciting yep I recogniz I you
recognize the photo it turns out that's
where they were taken um and it's very
exciting and we we love the the the
strad man and his second Channel strad I
do love the strad yeah I through the
strad uh chose to sell it on Cs and bids
uh auction went live today so yesterday
when you all are watching this uh
bidding is already at 7,7 $7,000 what is
an aural worth we'll find out okay
stradman stradman thank you for selling
your lootus you're on our site uh okay
Kenan give us the real good market
report which is very interesting yes so
I discovered something recently so as
you may know I like the E39 M5 a lot I
know it's shocking but I but I
discovered something interesting so E39
M5 results have been pretty strong I did
a little more research on on classic.com
which is a nice aggregate of like a lot
of results they've been pretty strong
recently but to get like a decent one
kind of cost you the average it turns
out over the last 5 years the last year
is 35 $5,000 about what it's going to
cost you for like a n for like average
of anything public yes correct average
of anything public the BMW F10 M5 two
generations later about the same so it
actually cost four grand more on average
so yes depreciation is really striking
this car the E39 M5 is ascending as a
classic that's actually a good point
because the E6 is even cheaper presum
the5 has out valued both both of success
successors I mean it hasn't out valed
the f yet but the writing is on the wall
yes and I suspect now of course the F10
was available only as an or as it was
available as an automatic and as a
manual I supect the manual ones will be
will hold their value substanti which is
true when we sell them although it's
very uncommon yes but it is f is
fascinating to me like the F10 M5 to me
still feels like a new car I live in the
past but I think of it as a new car and
it offers a lot of modern great stuff
the E39 definitely feels a lot more like
a classic but this is what happens the
the used Market values different things
than the new market the new market
values Tech and uh you know vehicle size
and performance but the yeah and the
other the classic Mark values experience
and so and I just think it was
fascinating I never really thought about
it that way with that said I think the
F10 M5 is one of the sleeper cars of I
love them click on this blue one I just
want to look at it I love I first off I
know it's sacr but I think the F10 M5 is
maybe the best looking M5 I agree with I
love how this car looks yeah I think
it's second but yes I know you do um but
either way it's up there like I think
beautiful and it's a the interior is
fantastic it's a very fun car to drive
it's a great powertrain maybe third E34
M5 is a very good
looking it's this to me it's the for me
personally if the E60 could be reliable
that would be if the E60 was reliable we
we would all have e60s yes I agreed yes
we'd just be rolling our own in V10
manual San I I am but right yeah yeah
I'll get there but I no I I agree the
F10 is one of my all-time favorite m5s I
do wish they were a little more reliable
um but welcome to that's something that
is that is hurting it on the used Market
because the E3 and M5 for all of your
kenon decisions feely reliable car this
car has some issues and I think that
continues to drive prices yeah again my
car hasn't been unreliable I just expect
it to be mechanically perfect at 240,000
I will tell you you want to see
something crazy we've been talking about
this also e35 30 grand gets you a good
one
F10 M5 looks like 30 grand gets you a
good one go to f90 yeah the new M5 f90 I
remember reviewing this car at a dealer
when it just came out we've beening
they've sink we've been selling we we
had an r&m at 43 we had a couple sales
in the low 50s this car ain't far this
is to me you w't talking about what
feels like a new car unfortunately it's
uglier and just worse and auto only and
all uglier Auto only bigger Etc however
it's really fast it's got amazing Tech
and this car is only I mean this is a
20,000 mile car like it may have engine
issues someday but you got a long way to
go and it's 55 GS right I agree Nick and
I actually discussed this on like the
cars in bids Channel last week when we
were highlighting cars that were for
sale and this F this f90 was one of them
but yeah it it really is these are
sinking and sinking fast sinking fast
but great to pick one up as a used car
you get one of these as a used car the
number start with a four it's pretty
appealing especially because we all know
BMW has some engine issues these cars
are young I mean they may develop issues
later but I just don't believe
truthfully that an 18 BMW will have the
kind of catastrophic failures that E60
m5s had yet you probably get five good
years out of this car this is the time
to buy one of these when they've
depreciated some but not to zero and
when they're a little older but not
unreliable I am curious to see how the
market treats them especially with the
new one coming out weighing you know
twice as much
as as much as a small PL I know we all
thought that this was the heavy the
heavy big one do do we think that the
F10 stick M5 will appreciate it's a last
of the the manual m5s and it was only
offered in North America it's
cool also they're not that expensive and
the m6 go back to but they are very the
m6 coup we've sold a couple I know we've
sold every single one that was ever
created there aren't many he he didn't
believe me he thought they were all
modified people swapped them go to
Sticks they that is not true they were
available with man like how much of this
stick 35 for a gray color one you should
get into this that'd be a good car for
you we're not discussing buying cars

thank you is probably apparently tied
the app
okay
only incentive this month okay questions
first question from Louis which is
spelled to the one what do mods upgrade
what Mod upgrades do you believe retain
or even improve car res values the most
on the opposite side what mods do you
believe hurt resale value the most
excellent question I'll answer the
latter part first most mods hurt the
value of the car some do more than
others but some do a lot more than
others we were talking about yeah I of
the mods that don't matter like they
easily changeable I Tru think the
tinting tail lights and headlights is
the most immediate drop for mod doesn't
matter I agree with that and um black
wheels from era where cars didn't have
black wheels any car from the mid 2000s
when black wheels was not a thing you
put black wheels on it instantly it's
uglier and it says that the person is
maybe sketchy I also would submit to you
that any wheel that our friend Nick
thinks is attractive is a value decline
in a car I would to expand that a little
bit more I would say yeah any car with
aftermarket wheels that are clearly
aftermarket not old I think most of the
time is going to hurt I don't think
it'll necessarily hurt the value in a
lot of cases I think it doesn't help I
think that some do hurt the value yeah
and I think that some help the value but
I think well I was put it this way if
you're selling a car on the site and it
has aftermarket wheels and you have
stock wheels put the stock wheels back I
completely agree generally with that
there's a couple exceptions but there
are a few exceptions but I generally
agree with that you should put the stock
wheels back on when you go to sell a car
I have seen some cars
list that I'm just like if you had just
put the stock wheels back on you would
have gotten and they have them they like
you can put them on you put them on yeah
you want to make the money on the car
you know what I think universally helps
well-known reliability modifications
reliability mod like fix like a specific
issue that that car has that everybody
knows has absolutely better head bolts
in the in the 63s rod bearings in the
E60 M5 a manual transmission an E46
M3 um that's conversion kach has a bunch
I 355 has a ton headers headers if you
do those mods people will instantly be
like yep that's a something I don't have
to do right right I I totally agree with
that that's the one and and we'll also
show that you care about the car you
care about the car long term there are
other mods though that add value legitim
there are some like the the Porsche head
unit that adds carplay and stuff Porsche
unit that adds car is a good one I think
in some cars that are very clearly track
based racy type things something like a
roll cage can add value um or or race
seats or something like that offroaders
are another one off-roaders have some
value ads with good lifts that's those
cards can be expensive and difficult to
install and so people who have already
done that on cars that are very commonly
off-roaded often get some money for them
things that demonstrate that you care a
lot about having the best the most
reliable the safest like a roll cage
indicates oh I actually right yeah you
know I tried this car but also I cared
or like ol's damp ol whatever on some
modification like quity high quality
Parts yeah you won't get back the full
money you won't get back the full money
but like a an original uh 9pa Cayenne
wow ni like that's been modded off-road
modded gets more money than one that
hasn't I don't think you get dollar for
dollar back on the mods but it certainly
is more desirable and more valuable than
yeah I trying to find an example of
that okay that's a good question and I
think Luis one oneis has a good question
I think we successfully answered it next
question from OES yes this is a great
question one of the best we've ever been
asked wow kenon if you could magically
change the m5's color to any other BMW
factory color would you and what color
would you choose same thing for Doug and
the CR GT with Porsche colors yep
absolutely in fact when I order I didn't
order when I bought my M5 like I didn't
want silver I specifically didn't want
titanium silver no I wanted a 2000 Avis
blue with the two-tone interior in full
leather very very very very rare I think
they only made 17 or 19 my friend Luke
has one and that's what I wanted I even
looked at it I like I was negotiating on
one in Chicago at the time but really
just the numbers didn't work out and I
was getting discouraged and eventually
that one came up and the condition of
that car was so good that's why I bought
it in the end interesting but yeah Avis
blue in my opinion was the best color
and it was it was replaced by lamon Blue
when they facelifted the car but Avis
was very pretty it was offered on the
E36 M3 as well and that to me is like
that's the one that would be the one
with the full two tone interior so they
out Sport interior they are out there I
see them occasionally but it's R very
rare and only available for 2000 um me
and the CR GT I I have a bizarre color
history of the CR GT I really loved the
yellow the yellow was the thing it fance
yellow is what it was called special
color that they started with C te I
really wanted it it's all I wanted and
then um and then over time my taste
started to shift a little and by the
time I bought the car fan yellow was way
too expensive yeah and to be frank I
preferred silver
um and it's it's funny I was thinking
about this last night when I wrote this
question down and started thinking about
it for GT I have never preferred the
color I bought to this day I wish my car
was white with blue stripes to this day
so surprised career GT I never have
wished it was yellow there was not a
people always like when are you going to
get your yellow one and I'm like
hopefully never it looks like a
banana I actually prefer silver we know
that there were but I actually and I
know that I prefer silver because
for the Ford GT I've never been able to
get out of my head that I don't prefer
that car's color and I always think
about it and cre GT I never think about
it so I really legitimately think
however if I could have any color on
that car I don't know I personally I
think the C like cars look best in the
colors the manufacturer offered like I
think when people do color changes it's
it's doesn't necessarily work in the way
you don't that's not the color of the
car it's not correct and so for that
that car it was Silver Seal gray black
other black red and yellow and I think
silver looks the best in the CER GT
silver great I truly do however if I
could move beyond the crer GT color
palette I mean I don't know like in
azuro California I think would look cool
Zanzibar red was another like reddish
brownish they did that was cool but I'm
not sure it would look great on GT
anyway people are doing all these care
GT color changes now the factory is
doing them certain dealerships are doing
them there are certain modifiers
aftermarket modifiers that gr rul that
are doing them I don't think any of them
look better than the OE colors to be
honest but I'm an OE guy I like Oe also
who I am everybody should keep in mind
that every other car that Doug owns is
white well Doug Doug likes owning cars
in the so this is kind of along the
years California yeah golf blue por gol
blue Porsche did some golf blue ones I'm
just not I just not that I think you're
right about G seal I actually think seal
is better looking than GT silver but to
me the car just looks best in GT silver
anyway we're splitting hairs at this
point but the answer is I really like
the car in silver which is odd and and
and disappointing both of
us like such a shame I know you have a
good answer to this question I really
don't I think I would silver is just
what it is in my mind a career Agy is
silver with a brown chair and to be
honest with you thrilled that I have
silver it makes it a lot easier to live
with when it gets slightly dirty imagine
if he had anything else dark color car I
you all should hear what Ken has said
about full leather interior he car he'd
be cleaning the car literally now be
like can't time for the pot be like no
no okay next question from Amir Hassan
722 as a senior graduating college soon
uh as a senior in college graduating
soon any advice on how to land a job
like Doug had at Porsche early in his
career filipo I got no advice Doug you
you you had the job fipo got a job
though when he got College of course
how'd you get that I I don't have a good
answer for this I don't know I don't
know what the answer is a job like I
I'll tell you this and I'm I'm very very
serious about this people make a lot on
the internet of what job I had at
Porsche people are like he made a lot of
money when he was working at Porsche I
had like the most entry-level job that
ever existed at Porsche I was getting
paid $48,000 a year uh and it was like
not people are like how did you get this
special job I sat at a computer all day
doing Excel like this wasn't something
this wasn't like a like an amazing thing
to be honest my answer to this question
is I've and I've always told this to
people like you should consider starting
working at a dealership I think
dealership life gives you an
unbelievable amount of Automotive
experience you that is where everything
happens and tons of upset and when I
then went into into the actual industry
into like the the man for the
manufacturer I had knew so much more
because I had worked at a dealership
before that um getting into work at a
manufacture is hard uh but it's not as
glamorous as people think I went to work
next to a you know we went to Chipotle
for lunch every day and we we SED Exel
like it wasn't it wasn't different from
if I was working at the company that
makes sign it's corporate but for a cool
company yeah that helps you went to
chipot lunch in your company 997.2 yeah
but that was that was a company car that
I was leasing from the company and took
my pay you should just seen I was taking
home like 1,00 bucks a paycheck like it
was it was a
situation I I so as the person who has
most recently gone through this for the
automotive industry like I agree with
you 100% I work for the largest exotic
car dealership in the country and I
learned a lot about different parts of
the industry for new cars for old cars
for how it all works and that and I also
learned what I liked and didn't like
about that like that specific part of
the industry and that was tremendously
helpful and additionally I met tons and
tons of great people who I'm very close
friends with in the industry and talk
going to events talking to those people
how they gotten started in their career
and just being friendly in general I
started talking to you just casually
about f50s and then you asked me what I
wanted to do I wanted to work AR company
live in Souther that now I think there's
also a lot of like you just sometimes
have to build your way up to that by
proving that you're competent yeah if if
you are comp even if you're working a
different job if you're competent then
you develop the skills and also like I
would a note on that I would say like if
you're going to when you're building
those relationships build them as
friends like don't build it as like I'm
angling to get this job when this person
has it or what like that's not the right
way to approach it genuinely invest in
relationships and have genuine passion
and enthusiasm for the cars that you're
interested in that the purest enthusiasm
carries you a long way I think and you
certainly had it when it comes to yeah
yeah and honestly I don't I don't regret
having that job but I also don't think
that job is quite as like when you're a
senior in college your whole world is
devoted to like getting a cool job at a
cool that job wasn't as special as as
you might think like there's a lot of
cool jobs out there and that job it was
$1,100 a month that I was making after
my company car Le well that seems like a
person driving around a 911 when you're
21 you can you can drive around 1100
month but you're driving a 911 that's
like the dream yeah uh okay next
question and this is
from next question this I'm going to do
two more okay okay next question we're
going to do two more two more questions
this next one is from J sturdy 38 given
that Amazon confirmed The Grand Tour
will get three new hosts are you guys
going for it why or why not years ago
they reached out to me for one of the
shows maybe it's was Top Gear I don't
remember and you should have seen what
you had to do you had to like agree that
you would not post on social unless they
approved it and you had to agree and it
was like I already make more money than
on YouTube and I'm more I have more
freedom like I have zero interest in
this I didn't even reply to the casting
call like it wasn't even interesting to
me I think at the end of the day like TV
shoots are not my thing I like low
production quick moving stuff FIP plus
we can do things that are even better
like we have coming out next week stay
tuned do you want me to actually answer
the question yeah oh I would literally
never I I I love being part of the
content with you guys my friends it's
wonderful it is also a like very small
portion of my actual job here at cars
and beds and I like the remaining
portion Happ when we set the Pod we we
were like about to start shooting one
day and we were like oh no who are we
going to have on it fipa why don't you
come join yeah it was excellent planning
all around and and every time we do the
Pod he resents us no I sense it every
time I only I only resent it when you're
late it but it gives him a chance to
talk about normal cars like the car
business which he loves more than
anything else I had a topic today about
a Chevy Malibu and you refuse to talk
about it reasonably uh and so I think
the answer is no Kenan would you go on
The Grand Tour no I I'm I'm I'm a fan of
like I was a fan of of here's the thing
you're always going to be compared to
the trio that did it no matter what you
do and Nobody Does it Better than those
three I want to see Jeremy Clarkson
Richard heaven and James May especially
James May doing what they do because
well they sell Jin now I know I have
some
wonderful but like I truly feel that
like there in entertainment history
they're one of the greatest trios period
and they did it for so long such a high
level why compete with like I it's not
that it would be competition with that
but like you just can't capture that
kind of lightning in a bottle more than
once and I and they're I love watching
the old stuff from Top Gear and The
Grand Tour like they did it really well
I'm sad it's gone of course but they
left us with quite a body of work yep I
agree with that I do think that you
would be a very good James May
replacement though no one replaces James
but he is my spirit animal that's for
sure final question from p33 kyn sounds
like a British license plate hi how do
you all feel about being called yuppies
by Scotty Kilmer and his recent video
Doug deiro was talking crap about me and
here's what I have to say all right I
want to address this a lot of people
sent me this video did you watch it no
and here's why Scotty I actually have a
lot of respect for Scotty because he
just gets unreal views but here's the
deal unreal concern God he make I wish I
could do what Scotty does he's like in
his house yelling at the camera and he
makes gets tons of views but
um for years I as I got more more and
more popular on YouTube a lot of people
started to use my name in videos like
Doug deiro said this here's why he's
wrong or I hate Doug deiro or Doug deiro
whatever and to be perfectly honest I
never watched any of that stuff I think
it's a cheap way to get views and I'm
kind of busy like I don't really watch I
truly like I'm what am I going to click
when am I going to watch the Scotty come
over it what you tell me what am I going
to when am I going to sit down be like
instead of playing with my kids or
playing with Kennan well I'm gonna
instead watch a Scotty Kilmer video or
any of these people who have use this
and I think you know whenever you can
like simulate Strife on YouTube or in
columns artic
uh it gets a lot of clicks and so I
never read anything that's what about
being called a YY specifically how do
you feel Scotty Kilmer has a way of
talking I love Scotty oh legit mad
respect to Scotty uh he'll probably make
another angry video about this or maybe
he'll be happy about this I have no idea
and I promise you I won't watch
it I just I've noticed it for years I've
noticed this like people would be like
oh Doug said this I'm going to do this
video and include his name in the title
because that starts this like this like
stri and it's so funny I people complain
about like oh the you know journalism is
this well you click on it like people
click on this stuff they love this they
love this drama and I won't participate
you will never see me complaining about
any YouTuber and definitely not putting
in the title of any video that is not
the way things work in this content
business I really assume that you've at
the very least had Nick watch it cuz
Nick who's off the podcast I think
watches every YouTuber watch so I just
he knew I watched it himself but I
certainly won't and certainly should we
start a beef with somebody right
now no should choose I don't think
so I don't have anybody to to start a
beef with though like I don't have any
negative feelings about any lot some
people have negative feelings toward me
but I love all we just have a lot of
love towards specifically diesel
whistling diesel yeah whist I mean
whistling diesel number one then hoie
right maybe we should start that's what
starts maybe we should start a beef with
tarish what you is
tarish no Freddy's great leave Freddy
alone all right that's the end of that
ladies and gentlemen it was the best
podcast youve ever done F any parting
words yeah download the app and also go
to
merch.com thanks BL always corporate
always I appreciate it goodbye everyone
