Met EJ online with Scotty do rear is and brother Duo for the first time on the show or as he mentioned his other half at home and anymore. I mean you tell me about him
like you should just keep going my you just so far away.
What up today actually was, it was it was in the 100's yesterday on our 100th revenues back into 200.
So but hopefully, I mean, we're exactly today's exactly halfway through our lockdown where we're not exactly letter to shit.
So so where it feels way longer than halfway where is like at this point this right? You know, it's still got was
doing cases, we're probably going to be extended till Christmas. The thing is you can't you can't
do anything, but Maddie, I think I know you've got a lot of to do, you know, it's in quarantine as yeah, that's right.
Got a lot of shit to do. I go to stay 1.5 meters away
from you. Welcome to the show, first time
on. Tell us a bit about yourself
Kazi. You own obviously, I don't know
about you, but for our viewers, who haven't listened to your show, give us a bit of a Spiel and we'll get into it.
Yes, I, um, I'm the younger brother.
I'm a Sydney boy. All my car life and whatnots
been in a western Sydney. So just a typical car boy during
school out of school, all my mates were Apprentice mechanics out of school. So that that toes you in and
just that late 90s, early 2000 Sydney Vibe was infectious and Fortunate enough to have some good friends of mine work that reputable performance mechanics with in Sydney.
So I was lucky to get sort of drawn into that that culture and I've got to go on it. A lot of sort of Workshop Wars,
things like that. And the back streets of Sydney,
cars been through a few I've always been a budget boy.
So how is Ever. I was never the lucky one to get
you. Yes, 15s, and you skylines and
stuff. I was always a few steps behind.
I had a beautiful Corona, 76 Corona that I got for 200 bucks that I don't want to toot my own horn, but I always had a good eye for cars. So, although I was always on a
budget, always got a lot of street cred for my cars because I always picked good. Comes in my the look good.
I had a veil Commodores and things like that, you know, whatever. But they are coming over there.
Sorry. You gonna tell me what happened
to the Vail Colorado. Yeah, I crash that into red,
rooster on the Great, Western hyway be hotter.
We could kick back and I lost control and ended up in the seating area of the Red Rooster. Luckily, it was early morning
and now I'm Has heard other than myself and my ego but I think every panel on the car was destroyed and I got 200 bucks for the engine and gearbox and oh well Danny was so what's the deal at Red, Rooster that good. I actually never I never heard
anything from them. I never got any bills or
anything for damaged goods. So I was pretty lucky, just No,
I got towed but we knew tow truck driver, so we got it out of there. Pretty quickly, police attended
because I was pretty, I was injured.
I was heavily can cast and cheese.
I was bleeding from numerous areas, but yeah, I don't know, I guess it was just the times. I just, I caught the negligent
driving fine, which was 160 bucks or something and moved on from there. They still.
Look at Red Rooster. And I mean not telling the
truth, The food's good. So I can see if you were hungry.
You could have. You could have just said, oh,
I'm here now. Yeah, I'm here now.
Yeah. Yeah.
Danny will take you to the Red Rooster.
Yeah. Like buying sex in the movies
you should have a plaque or something on the wall there?
Yeah, then I'm using to like modifying and things like that.
I had any L, XR 6, that was beautiful, that I should have kept, but didn't that had I had a, had an engine built for that that was built for nitrous, but it never actually made it into the cuff. I think I sold the engine for
more than what I sold. The car for it was built by a
reputable guy in Sydney named Ivan.
It was It was built very well. It had a lot of Like Larry Larry
Perkins components and things like that and started nodded but never I just lost interest in it and it got away from me.
But I wish I'd kept that one because the car itself was Immaculate so that would be my one regret.
Then I got I had a little Hilux and we put an SR 20 in it.
That was my first go at sort of engine conversions and things like that went pretty well. It got a bit of a reputation
around Sydney, if it went through a lot of hands after I got rid of it and it popped up everywhere.
So, it was on Mighty Car Mods. Yeah, it had a bit of a cameo on
there. It wasn't a feature and, you
know, I was just in the background but if you do that Even these after I sold it, you'd be talking to enthusiasts and people in the scene and someone would know someone that had that car or someone that had seen.
Again, I never finished it and I don't necessarily regret it but I would like to have seen it finished but lost lost my way on that one and started to think about bikes and stuff.
And I think I sold that to buy a bike And then yeah, cars came and went. And now I've just not just
probably four or five years ago. I've bought an E30 BMW that I'm
that I'm building up. That this is probably the first
one that I've stuck with and Gone Gone.
The right way about it. We did a M50 engine swap from an
E36 six on the swap that we did ourselves in the driveway here, which was good fun. Haven't touched anything
European before And they're actually quite fun and quite easy to work on as far as I guess it's you got Japanese and then, you got European or the same thing that if you stick within that, that genre, everything sort of makes sense.
And that is probably three quarters of the way done.
I was just speaking to Adam today, made the decision this week to go with a standalone engine management.
System in it which is a big deal for me because I've never I've never done that before. So that's exciting.
And it's in a actually sent it away to a performance shop which is something new for me, as well.
Do usually done everything myself.
So I'm expecting that back in the couple of weeks or so and be able to have some fun with it. Sat down with the family, this
afternoon and explain to the kids.
They won't be getting Christmas presents this year to assist with paying for such components in New York.
I'm seven years. Had a reckoning spanners you can
share of unsecured. Yeah, yeah yeah it's costly but
I didn't really have any other way to go with it.
The amount of things that were playing up with it, the ECU was pickled, mass air flow, the air flow meter, was pickled in it by the time I sourced all those parts it probably would have cost something close to. To what I'm paying for the ECU
to go in. Anyway so I'm interested in
listening to this later on and just get it done.
We shall, We Shall Believe It's that the rugs with you today cells and cause it doesn't work. Yeah cool.
So is the a 32 Coupe? Yeah.
Two-door series. One mechanical.
Sunroof just I Came Upon it kind of by chance.
My brother-in-law, my wife's Croatian and they lived in Germany post-war for a long time.
So her older brothers like the Beamers and one of her brothers had a four-door E30 and a 34 535i, that just sat in her mum's driveway for years and years, never touch them.
And the initial plan was to always liked the look of the E30. And the plan was to drag that
out of the garden and fix it up but by the time we got to it and opened it was rusted out Beyond repair, but that sort of planted the seed and then just sitting at work gum.
I'm training. And one was close by and in
Hornsby, and I think, I paid two and a half thousand for it, which it must have just been Rock Bottom.
Because, ever since I've got it, the prices have gone up and up and up. But I didn't really know what I
was getting when I got it. I actually preferred the
four-door. But then yeah.
Obviously as you get into it and you learn about him I kind of realize that I've got a pretty good one.
Actually you mentioned Hornsby shout-out to the Halls each other because they play Mighty Car Mods videos on the screens and they play podcast on the PA system there.
Hmm, that's cool. Actually going to say the
speaker from time. That's awesome.
Did they are so with that E30? Was it a 6 or the begin with or
was it a force? Now, I was at M10.
It was a it was a it was a imported as a 3/16 and then they converted it to a 318 in the factory, which is what I've realized as a grand. But it was it was gutless when I
got it but it was still heaps of fun.
The way they built the chassis and stuff that are just To Rice the there. They're quite incredible little
cars. So when this one goes It goes
well and yeah. You feel like you're in a little
go-kart. A lot of people say that with
any 30s, like they're real, didn't driver's car.
I'll new good size and they feel fun to drive.
So you can see why they're getting the money that they're getting these days because they're quite big quite pricey.
Yeah, but they've, it's one of those purest Market.
It's as well. It's where I've taken it to a
few BMW meats and It's come a long way, like I get a lot of attention for it but at first it was a lot of people with you.
If it wasn't all genuine, they didn't want to look at it and you want to know about it. It was always the younger kids
that like the my one because it's, you know, it's got a track look to it. I had some sticker bombing on
the strut brace and stuff that people used to get upset about, but the kids always liked it and even The on the online forums.
Yeah. You get a lot of a lot of heat.
If you don't do theorists, yeah, the BMW a I had a when I was starting off, I was on one of the European E30 pages and I took some photos of the t-34 just saying is there anything I should take off this before I get rid of it and everyone straight away said zoom in zoom in zoom in on the interior picture, show me this. Steering wheel show them the
steering wheel that turns out. It had an mtech steering wheel,
which is heavily sought after, and I said, get the cereal, get the steering wheel so I've made that we pulled it off and stuck it on the E30 and had it on there for Years hated it the whole time. I just didn't like the look of
the serum about kept that because I was told it was good and I ended up swapping it for like a no MP3 steering wheel and got a lot of heat. for attempting to swap it around
saying no you're an idiot to do that but honestly I didn't like the steering wheel so I swapped that someone wanted it more than what I did and it's not as though I've regretted it or anything but it's strange that people would Suggest that I have a steering wheel that I don't want my car because I should well coming as you know, car modifications every it's everyone for themselves like they can do, whatever the hell you really want to use your own the car, so yeah.
But again, you're going to get people out, that won't like whatever you do regardless so can't please, everybody.
Let me copy every and I'm not I've never been one to try and please. And I've always done things my
own way like a I said that that that Corona I had Adam had just gone into that kind of car modification stuff at the time and LEDs had just come out but the neon LED lights just and you're going to blame me one in behind the grilled in.
We we did we had Knight Rider, early days to trace the rules and we just I said stuff but let's just put it in and everyone loved it. Park it somewhere and everyone
would love these lights and I don't want to just do what I think I like. It had that home that had the
digital home that did not have before that, or after that, it had a digital horn with a controller and if you can make it, do a load of different sounds and it did a did like a cow moo. Really got a lot of trouble with
it. We were doing it in a Shopping
Centre car park and large lady walk past when we hit it.
We got no lunch travel. One of the Year might have been
with the chapmans. You might have been there.
Yeah, I yeah. I've always been one to just do
what? What I like and it usually works
out well for me. It's okay.
You can blame me for the mods. I'm happy to be the reason why
you put me on scene. There be a big queue of people
behind you. Blaming me for doing Neons and
crazy stuff. Oh well, that's nice to get
together. A bit of an insight into you and
your cars we're going. We're going out for some card
data. First Scotty, what's happening
in your world cars? Stillness and Maddie still
nothing. Probably do much.
Can we? Because it's just the no, I
mean, if I had a garage here, maybe but this weekend Webster carport so it's been raining. The whole weekend, freezing
cold, like I want answers and getting wet Chris, not a good enough excuse. Yes, it is.
I worked on cars in my front lawn.
It's a perfect excuse to wet. My mom and dad would kill me,
but that's another story. Where is our parents gave up?
Yeah, I think, probably we owned.
I don't know, maybe the fourth or fifth car that they Danny had. They just gave up just sacrifice
the careful and the driveway because they knew there was nothing they could do. So pretty, then here we go.
This is a good story. Mom had a one of the original
meanings and the motor had popped in a and she asked me and Danny and mates to find another motor for it and put it in.
And we found hotted up like causeless spec engine on.
Well, it was quicker at the time in the in the paper because it was before internet days and you know, we Found this on that motor and convinced her to get it and we put it in and we went for the test drive and he coming out of Speedway car and it had blocks in the steering. So it only turn one way.
So she went out of the driveway and dead straight and into the bush across and that was the last time we were ever allowed to work on one of them's cuz that's fair that's fair to Fair.
Call that being said, she's got an S Series now like an old Valley. This series that I'm forever.
Six and thirty things on their questions, huh?
It's it's just weird everything in that car is weird.
I don't know if you've ever worked on one, but I've only got the accelerator linkages, and it's like linkages and there's like, twenty seven linkages for the accelerator, that guy ran into the dash and across the dash because it was originally a left hand drive and then through the dash and then back along the firewall on the other side and Sue and down.
And On to the car the tightness, it's all gone.
Now I'll put in an accelerator cable.
That's going to extend the accelerator in their work wrists. Are they to do, man?
I like to study not much. I've I think I mentioned
brother's car was going in to get prepared, because it had a bit of our kangaroo that ran into it or I ran into a kangaroo. So it'd be interesting to see if
when he picks it up this Tuesday, whether they're replaced the Bonnet for the genuine walks wagon one, and fix the other bits and pieces. And whether they give you actual
invoice to see what the what the costs were and what it would actually cost him to buy a genuine, Waltz wagon Bonnet and replace it. Plus any sensors they may have
had to touch So yeah that I think he picks it up on Tuesday and yeah apart from that nothing really meant.
Let's show that they won't they won't give anything on this.
You I think our sport so you need to yeah I'm going to get him to ask for it. How much damage did I do?
Sorry, how much damage did it do?
There's pretty much what the bumper the front bar somehow it missed it but its head must have landed on the bombers.
So it will still pedestrian safety shooting straight into this. Yeah, yeah.
It's so that's that's all good. But yeah.
So it will be interesting, but apart from that everything else just Hearts is he going to get a free bar for it for next time?
No, he's just gonna avoid that section of the day long ranges, always, I was just telling Adam earlier close friend of mine, just bought the brand new A45 AMG.
Had it less than 48 hours and hit an animal in the National Park here and tore the whole front end off of it.
She's, um, and it's been generated and it hurts.
It's been in the shop, three weeks, because no one's got the parts yet. They have to import them all to
bring your car. Yeah.
And he can identify what animal it was but we've summarized it must have been a warm back because it tore the whole, the whole front. Don't order the corner of the
car was destroyed. I swear one that's made of
concrete. Yeah.
When you hit them they just or you amd's and made of cardboard, I don't know. That's nice.
Adam, I think with you, man. Well, I crash the Thirsty.
Know if you guys have seen the video.
Yeah. Wasn't my fault.
The tide jumped out in front of me just like the one that in the kangaroo. That's exactly.
That chocolate sauce, just jumped out in front of the sad.
Luckily, it didn't really do any damage and broke my number plate cover that I'd made. So, that was nothing.
Yeah. The luckily, the front bumpers
or plastic. So it's just been teaching and a
bit back out on its own. So we'll have a touch-up paint
and she was good to go again. So I washed all the mud and crap
off it yesterday which took me a good four hours.
Okay. Get on there.
And yeah, gave it a good clean. It's got a new sticker on the
back Wing. It's got a sticker.
That says if you squint, it's mid is pretty apps for it and dear, she's on the trailer. She's always loved and I'm
racing again next weekend. So she's ready to go.
This is going to be the first race at a different track opposed to the local one. So it's two hours away and
Darren out and real bush. This could be the first real run
with trailer Swift and see how she goes with the car on.
So how's it been going? Has it been competitive and how
he found the relatively? So I'm not last.
I'm just tame not last racing at the moment because it's all still relatively new to me. A lot of the people that race
out there are veterans of the track.
They've been racing there for 30, odd years, sir, They know a lot better than I do. But yeah I'm not last a pretty
good. A lot of interest in the carcass
on the only one. That's kind of like got all out
of the car doing. Yeah.
All this crazy stuff that I've done the rest of the people that are race against just cars that they've got from the Wreckers and done the bare minimum to get him running and racing again, which is fair enough because chances are you going to put it into a tractor tire. So you don't to spend too much
money on it. I'll just pop out in front of
you. I like, you be like, oh yeah,
please stop that across the road, and family is now in the driver's meeting before the race.
They said, look out for sheep because there's a hole in the back Paddock fence, so they may be sheep.
Yeah, so the festival. Good tanks, got an issue with,
well had an issue you're here at all on our podcast but had a six-pack error, earthing kit that I put into To it.
So, the oxygen free, blue cables, going everywhere, and back to the battery, which was supposed to be that.
In thing, turns out, that's for four cylinder and not a V8.
So at end up, smoking them, which I was very happy, it was the cables and not another alternator because it's on its fifth old maid in The I really didn't want another because bottom.it probably be the reason why you been gone.
Like you've been cooking all the latest Solo or it in Dad's.
No doubt made us. Absolutely spinning him.
On the third one, the fourth one.
I took it to a guy and got him to diagnose why it kept killing him and it was because the crate motor revs out to 10,000 and alternators are meant for a normal wins and goes to 5.
So it was just over spinning and cooking the bearings and stuff.
So that did I fixed. I got a custom pulley made for
it, that's bigger. So it slows it down.
So, that's all good. And yeah, this alternators fine.
Now, it was just the think it. So I stripped all the sex back
area. I think it out and put some big
Earth's in and she's all good. Again, that being said, it still
doesn't have indicators. Something's gone wrong with the
indicators on it. I just don't know, it's a really
weird sister because it's a 1966.
The brake lights are also the indicators.
I have no idea how it does that. Because it has normal indicators
on the front, for the brake lights, the indicators in the back. So, yeah, I've got to figure it
out. I need to sober up and try and
figure it out. That the last time I was sober,
was the worst worst 10 minutes in my life.
So I don't really want to try that again.
But yeah, other than that the you got hits at Bunnings and I thought it and they drove away and didn't leave any notes or any heat two weeks later. I got a phone call from an
insurance company saying that it was a company vehicle that hit it and they want to fix my car. So that went into a very
luxurious panel beating shop that had like leather gainey's and you Gatti's and all kinds of My shit box you sitting in the middle of a mall, they fixed the back end of it or up.
So it looks very Flash from the back and pretty rough than the front. They they actually ordered
another set of the LTS a tail lights that I had in it that were in it when I got it that wasn't really that doesn't matter but yeah it took him six weeks to make a set of the altezza lights and they said to me out.
So I'm just putting me in this afternoon.
So, yeah, I think that's the fleet gemma's cars, the fucking Mercedes. Got loads of dramas with it, but
you'll hear all that on our podcast when I guess.
Do it again. Yes, it sounds like a Mercedes
and and my Mercedes of always got buddy, European cars.
Yeah. Who would get with me?
Because like I know he's still at the flags on it.
What did the Flames off? I can put them back on it,
anytime like that. Yeah, I'm surprised you don't
have like the Bulldogs flags all the cats Wags along with the cats flags on the I have to go help a friend out in her car. The old her alternator went on
her Twitter Corolla and it's is a funny story for you guys.
So, so basically, it was the Friday night.
She called me, she's like, Matt smear on my car.
Can you can you get stopped out of my gear?
No worries. So she walks up to my place and
this is my, this my exhales mate, like, we still have to go, and I will be pretty close. And she's like, look, I'm on my
way home. My boyfriend can look at the car
because he's still at work. Can you sort it out?
So, Mike, what's it doing? In it had the bat.
Relied on the dash of my gosh. Probably alternator, then it's
if you will want to do mean everything.
So I am, I'll put my thing in there.
Like some point. It was like what you see it?
Like reducing mind V. So I'm like, you know, it should
be 14. So I'm like look, she doesn't
have too far from me. I'm like, look, I'll follow you
home just to make sure that you get there and sure enough, as soon as we better get on to the freeway, it died and then I gave it. I gave her a job or followed in
there in the El today. Gary jump got a back to the
shop. Probably said I was just around
the corner and it died as I was driving into the shopping center. I'm like look, we'll sort it out
tomorrow. So she got dropped, I'm came
back the next day with the LTD and call the tow truck and Toto was like, yeah, I'll be there in about an hour.
So I was just fighting with her, sorting out the card, there's anything else that needed and then the tow truck gets there and it's like, oh, so I'll pick up that car and he puts up my car. I'm like, no.
It says not abandoned. Please don't like the look of
horror on his face when he's like, I've never told her So if you lift it over, why not just rock up with a battery the following day and get it? Well, that was the thing.
Her boyfriend. Thought it was the battery and
change the battery and then it decided to run out of electricity again so she's like well I'm not going to buy another battery. I was getting dressed was get it
towed and just like it because you couldn't jump at the way to get to the mechanic that you took it to the freeways the quickest way otherwise you holding up traffic and in even even on that used to be jumping the car on the freeway and it's just be a nightmare. So forget like Victoria's kind
of small compared to Wi see the tire tracks aren't ridiculously expensive as they are here. Well Joe.
Yeah, you guys have got that racv.
Yes. Yeah we got our AC.
Yeah, that's hard. Mrs. To fucking off once we got
together because you didn't need it anymore and it does come in handy if you have older piece. Of junk like I do, which I have
broken out on me a few times. And I dear.
Could you imagine if I call them with the tank saying, I've got a 1966 Mercury, that's broken down.
Can you just bring out an? I don't know.
Any think for it, I would just scratch they had and then that wouldn't be able to get it on the tow truck that have to send out a big flatbed for it because it's not That's what this little crawls on the back of this. Flatbed news is look really tiny
and then I'm going to be truck, but I just like even even she and her boyfriend are pissing themselves laughing at me because like the guy put it in my cars and they're still not picking up. Oh my God.
Come on. Really like surely the gods.
What kind of tow truck driver can't tell?
Until today from a fucking Corolla.
It surely would have been on his paperwork.
See you think? That and because of they said,
oh, you got to be with the car that they check your ID and stuff like that. What car is it was the
registration. It looks at what I'd like,
that's the car. So that that personified for me,
that, you know, I must have an image for driving horrible cars because that's, that's currently.
Okay, so hard. It's just, it's a tow truck
driver's fault. The tow truck is some kind of
discrimination or something. HSV sticker on the back of you
so I can tow tractor. So, yeah.
Cars have been quite interesting this this week, in terms of, in terms of like everybody, I mean, in Melbourne, we're not really doing much, but Mom's car. She's obviously got my grandma's
Camry that's going to get stopped over to Victorian video from each other video on Friday as that's all being booked in and So is that a big process or is?
It won't be easy. You're gonna do, just get a
roadworthy and just booked a time and they just say, yep, that's fine. And they give you giving your
plates, but she's gonna she's gonna set up a test.
You want to put on the car anyway.
So, and over here, it's a nightmare to try and change from another state into wa many waddle.
What was that? Yes, because because we're not
set up to do loads of well, what you call Road were these like Danny time a car gets inspected, As if it's getting yellow stick inside, is is only one or two places spotted around the place that can do it. So you're always on a waiting
list for months and months to get their car inspected.
Specially, if you're doing right, Danny and doing an engine conversion and trying to get it all legit.
Yeah. Yeah.
You have to sit and wait for ages for someone to inspect.
Wouldn't know anything about it? Would you?
I was trying to talk you up. Hey, I wasn't gonna love you in
But if you want to double yourself him and prevent sure, no one in Sydney, listen to this, you'll be fine.
Yeah, yeah, I think it's tough here as well.
I'm in the middle of doing it at work.
We've got a passenger transport bus that is registered in Queensland that I've got to try and get changed over to New South Wales and it's it's pretty extensive what we have to go through weybridge certificates in basic like Mighty Car Mods have just done together. Yeah.
It's basically like doing a Bruce Lee.
You got to get the whole the whole thing inspected.
That's all for. This one is just had to get a
ride worthy. It's a book in the time with Vic
roads, and then they just check the road early 1980.
They check the numbers on the car and I'd be like it if you go in here, and that's it. That's pretty much.
That's pretty easy. Yeah.
See Victoria's good for something at the moment.
Not not coronavirus. But yeah, so easy.
But we're talking about a camera here, so it's different things.
Uh, this is true. Like all the makes sense.
Let's go for a podcast. He held his hands 10 centimeters
apart for anyone listening. So yeah, it was you know what
impressed with the camera. It throws a right for for a car.
For it's time for pretty much any event that would avoid an he's going over to your side. Why does so?
Well, I've got a that's right. And it's held its own.
I think I beat beat someone at work in a Toyota 86.
That would it be hard but but it I change the wheels on mine.
I've got sort of mag wheels on mine but you saying that when it had the stalkers on it, he used to turn them quite easily and I do miss that, you know. So it's imperative that it isn't
easy. Comparatively it's not like Yes
actually surprised you realize you can't winch with Nana brings the car and get it fixed because the second Justin Rings, a career out of it but she won't even know.
She doesn't have access to the internet so she won't be able to listen to the podcast. So it'll be all right there.
This this thing that your grandma doesn't drive at the same way which means you could be out there taking it to roll racing. And who knows what Daddy's only
saying this because iron Anza absolutely clean.
It's like that. The VW Hardware like the father
and son, go check out this Grandma's Golf and they looked at the card. Like, yeah.
Thumbs up is this looks awesome. And then the Grandma's
reminiscing to the back when she's like, doing jumps in it and like reverse parallel, had this really addresses, the she's absolutely dude, she's got a reputation in, they leave in the next Country, Town up for miles and York, and yeah, there's a He and I get with gets lost as a big sticker on the back of it, so people know that it's on. Then hey Dan, hurry and get
another. She crashed the gates and got
another gets, gets a good luck again.
Tonight's topic guys, is stupidest license plates I've ever seen. And I've seen I've seen a few
and I mean like look at that you're on the some really really good ones but there's also some really really crappy ones you doing this because I'm on the shower.
Well I know you like your costume B and you got the 50 AF and you got What's called the Tank tank.
Thi is th e was gone. I mean they're acceptable, but
other ones that you've seen it. Just like what the hell were you
thinking? It's just like when someone when
someone buys like, for example, a SS camera and puts in ssvf like you like we know what it is.
Yeah, you don't need to fast. Captain Obvious, Captain Obvious
screens with a drone. A Mustang is a big fuck-off
sticker across the top of the windscreens.
His Mustang Mach has a ship to run stupid and can tell that you're driving a fucking Mustang.
Reese, did you see many up in Queens at all when you bring back here? Nothing much in Queensland that
I can remember. But here I was driving the other
day and I saw a number plate that said poopy eight, No, I didn't understand the context because it was on like 2006 extra help and it's not like it's not like they had a business cleaning septic tanks or they were plumbers or anything like that. So no idea what the context was.
But anyway, back in the day, there was a guy that I think I was telling you guys last week when we were talking about, hey, you Falcons. He used to be into cars and he
had a made-up performance vehicle company called enhanced performance. So n ha and St, enhanced
performance and that sticker used to be on quite a few of us.
Are you felt and dragons and he had a number plate?
That's was, are you cute? Who won Ka?
So are you quicker? And I think he got probably in
the early 2000s but then he wasn't allowed to put it on a car after that because vicroads wanted it back because it was intimidating. Yeah, dude.
That was a big thing last week. Wasn't it?
That the video card? That was straight registered and
I think the number plate was weapon weapon.
He can't have it because it's inappropriate.
Yeah, I'm remembering Sydney, Daniel probably remember this one as well. Someone had hardened the fuck
up. In a variation it was like HD
and 4K, you pee or something like that.
That they've done away with the managed to get it through saying yea though I hate you. Oh yeah, that was a popular one
in Sydney and I pick here wi anything guys.
They really don't. You guys job.
I'm not sure Victoria's life but you guys get extra digits.
Nice day. They get Duck and Roll.
Let you guys in Sydney, it's any time.
I even get there. I'm always amazed when I got a
purse. You see some brilliant ones are,
but it takes up. But the whole rear bar of the
collet, it's like endless digits.
Are you can have whatever you want.
That's a good thing though. It's harder for the cops to
write it down if it's longer. Yeah.
So that's that's a really good one.
I'm saying ones that's like 8, B8 8, B8, B, 8B.
So it's really hard to read yet for the place to write it down.
I know these days, they use a digital cameras anyway, so it doesn't matter so much. But on those cars, original
talking about the iPhone. As we know they are the epitome
of performance is now, right, right.
Exactly. This is the thing I think
tickford had no idea. There was a separate performance
Division and undercover one called enhanced performance that was based out of a garage in Dandenong.
From a guy that for his day job delivering pizzas and but anyway, the last one that before I hand it over back to you guys, I will share the link. This is the one this was
covid-19. Someone actually hate this it.
No, not real. There was a, there's a kind
South Australia, that was parked and left at the airport with number plates covid-19, but apparently it had been there for months, Really. Yeah.
So maybe he had it. Maybe he died from it.
And yeah. Anyway, it was just interesting
that apparently they can confirm that the custom play.
Yeah it was been parked there for months and then they've got some other ones in this article with virus and who hands, they're also weird place. Well, that's cool.
I remember when I was in high school and we had, we had good family friends who had a hot rod shop and I had a 32 Ford and the plates were if in L 0w and it, no one, no one realized in a better went through. And I think they've still got it
to this day actually on their car so because like they they drive it a fair bit that car. And so I was like, oh, I was
always like that sir. Such a cool play.
Like that's that's sick, but then you see what you get.
I guess you'd say lucky with my plates with 8000 8th.
So boob on the Merc which is which is a quality plate as R is there is you know that plates are you know it's a quality break. If you broke tell, you got a
bins plate, kind of late. That's right.
So my PT Cruiser had missed a pimp I'm a fight.
Which is said that the answer teeth, Denny shaking his head, he came over for a visit and he came over.
It was no, no I seen it. I seen it.
I think the early days, you had spinning hubcaps on it.
That's all right. Oh yeah.
Right at the start. Yeah, I'm outing you online on.
Are went from that to 22-inch dish.
They V de Ville bags on it. What about those?
Pads are for anyone playing at home, you can fit 22 inch rims on a PT Cruiser. You got to cut any sort of the
guards or you just just maybe just had rubber bands.
Four tires. Another player kind of annoys me
is the mine. Not his or or what I am.
I went for the guy called Chevy and he had Chevy number plates on his Falcon IU. He copped it.
People pulling up saying, open the Bonnet.
We want to see the Chevy and he's going nuts, my name.
I don't imagine people that have their name as their number plate. Must just be together when
you're in public and someone calls out your name and you don't know who it is. I imagine when you're driving
with your name on the number plate, anyone can just yell out your name and you know what's even worse is?
It's probably only in wa is a couple of names.
So like there's somebody might Apartment complex.
That has Tony and Mike as their number plate.
Someone's both of them. How many letters you gotta help
us? Nine.
Yeah. Okay.
Speaking of nameplates, this is going to be good for you to work on my old manager, her name is Julie and she had a Daewoo Lanos, and the place where the place where Juliet.
She's like, this was the biggest mistake of my life getting these place for my birthday for my 21st.
She's like, I'm everywhere. I go, I just get people yelling
out with joy, Julie. I'm sure I've done it to
multiple people. So what my Julie?
Yes. Yes, you can do it, Julie,
things God. Write down since they charged
for it, because, yes, that's the other big thing to Sydney's really expensive. I have garlic.
I had European. Plates on my wife's Astra that
with ninety dollars a year just to have them.
Yeah. So you guys can have you want
every can hear whatever you want but they charge you for it.
Yay, I think. I look very forward buying.
You know, they did announce say a new Commodore and people would book the number by the number plates and then have them for sale the next month, but 50 Grand or something for people to buy the fights that they were forced to bring in that charge.
And she thinks there might have been a difference.
I think if you bought the number plates privately, then you own them and you didn't have to pay every year, that's power.
That Now I think you got to turn them in.
You can't you can't hold them in earlier.
Yeah so this convoluted ways of getting around here in wa where you can't sell a custom number plate to someone else, we own am out right when you're buying the first time.
But if you bought a car that has them on, you can then transfer them to another car that you own.
So what people do here, probably giving away too much but when you buy a set of custom plates, Hand or someone else.
You actually buy their car and transfer their car into your names and transfer the number place to your other car and then sell them the car. Back to the same that you bought
it just to get those custom plates fucking around, almost human body. But back, when we started to get
like European plates here, these people went and bought like VA mg m--, like all like did these different plates and then they sold it for a ton. One doing with your life?
Yeah. So I didn't wa ways are
expensive. Ones are the heritage ones, so
you couldn't buy them. So if they went to an auction
years ago so they're really low digits.
Like they're one or two-digit ones and there's a whole Instagram page, there's a dedicated to the wa ones on how much they cost and where they are now.
Well will raise you and I've been to a few Shannon's auctions here in here in Melbourne and what people pay for these places just insane. Like what did number whatever
was go for 500,000 or something when we were there last year, it was 87 or something like that. The event for ridiculous amount.
And I think the lowest number that I've seen in Victoria is seven, and there was on the McLaren Saying what?
Yeah, it was in a city in Melbourne City.
What's up ladies? I remember the prime minister's
car has another one in Sydney. I don't think so they have a
little plate. Well, Thomas, he's was good.
He was at like it but some diesel wasn't like a, like a My name Jesus said, he class not even an AMG, but had a number one that stood out because obviously it's you know, the Holton fairly small number plate and just one.
Yeah. Far more than the car be worth
way. Or it's probably worth like 100
times more than the car is quite a few years back when I saw it.
But yeah that's that's interesting.
What about you guys? Anything else?
Any other interesting plates that you've seen that you would be like what the hell are you thinking?
Or my favorite one was actually on a bike and it was La 80 lady.
Which gets a lot of attention in Sydney.
What was that one again leidy Arabic?
Yeah yeah. Yeah I laughed quite hard at all
about a minor is MX-5 he had a play called skips here which in Greek means bend over, but I'll be there, but you never got picked up on it. Everyone that knew what that
word meant. Would piss ourselves laughing
every time I saw the car but yeah, that's a I think I saw one of those parked outside. Halloumi good public ones.
Which is obviously the restaurant that George column Baris because he had to bend over.
Talk. I've seen that, isn't it?
The going to make my dishes of food but make it out of Lego.
It's called country of origin. I think.
But the island, well, I think it's time for So we all find a car for, and we battle it out to see who's got the best car.
We all choose at the end. And basically just give Danny a
second here to hired himself out.
Well he's he's going to win this.
Well, they have a little bit higher on the ladder before he falls off, but he's got a lot of, he's got a lot of, you know, just just out-and-out power, he's up and about, he's really put his on. To the onto the page.
So then he said it already. He's jumped too early.
Let us know that he what we looking at here.
It's a, it's a rotary that's in you.
I'll say no more. Yeah, that's cool.
Twelve a go into the details here.
So, talking a Deadeye Utes. Shout out to the new Australian
Automotive podcasts gutter, the gala Just started in April.
They are they like the adapter? Devon, that's and Utes a lot.
So I think the pair of them have got 2 or 3 H that they can bid on this one 12, a Bridgeport Microtech fuel injection side draft ID, a throttle body injection oil pump 2 inch exhaust system. 10 pounds flywheel fuel tank with surge
tank. Mad front struts Conversion kit
Skyline master cylinder RX-7, Series 3, calibos and rotors.
And at least two different colors, the towel guy and oil leak standard to what? Well, that's kind of given day
and 12. A isn't it?
I don't think it's possible to get a 12-8 it holds its oil on the Apex swing check out the chicken in the end shot hell-bent the the The top prize is already on top of it.
There's no water getting through.
That might. It's just there for look,
Christy, it's a standard twist. It's got its got gauges.
It's got onions. Got one bucket seat.
The other thing is just covered with a with the throw over, no genome. But it has got the better than a
box work. There's no hole in the bonnet.
It's all, it's all for. As you guys mentioned, bollocks,
mate. Just performed for the for that
performance implied, performance batteries in the back to for 50/50 weight distribution. And I think I think that's a
broom handle holding them on it. Open on.
Yeah you laugh about the battery Bay of 50/50 weight distribution but it's a tall vase. Oh it's probably about right
that 11:57 a way around the same and how much is it for all this?
Rusty. But hilarious, goodness bang on
ten Grand. I haven't gone out of the budget
thing on. Continue caring for that or else
want rayvin. It says goes hard and in, and
he's fun to drive goes over. Glad that he knows that it goes
hard, that means it's been looked after he's going to keep a cool especially when he's only getting like you know, that's going through. It's called a non-return system.
My V12 was like another and it's description.
I thought the custom number plus that would best suit.
It would be V1 a Gra Here we go.
It's a 2004 Mazda. RX8 manual in The Fairly common
red, very low case. Only got 108,000 case on it.
Yeah, there's a reason for that. Yeah, it's because it's the
sense here, it sees weekend, car well-maintained, always garage because I already starts. Well, it starts now because it
starts fine now because he's got a new starter motor.
It's time you start a new lower control arms fuel pump, starter motor and four, new tires comes with red Joe for another six months and you can get all that for And a half, take what?
It looks really tight. Well, you look so pretty.
Yeah, that's not bad. I'll buy that for the seats and
the brakes brakes. Brakes, recently, everything
looks pretty mint shows, his starter motor.
The only good thing about that car is that can hug you with the stupid backdoors. Suicide readers: still green,
that's good. Son and then he suspension
stuff. Do they say that?
The redis is only lost 100,000 case and they blow up.
Not this one Castro. Little did a brilliant video on
all the things that suck up on these things, especially the series 1 But you know what, I think for seven and a half Grand. That's that's a cool car for the
money. And yeah it makes some some some
rotary 47 off grade. If he throws in the ten-foot
pole I'll touch it shots, fired shots fired.
He's he's going next. I'll go next.
Our is so I think small one is one of a kind.
I do what kind of thing. I don't think you've ever seen a
salika, that is a convertible. Nope.
This role in that era. No.
This is a 71, isn't it? Yes, everyone LT.
That's not Factory convertible, right?
That's no it's not it. That's like 10 grand.
I know that's why it's one of a kind from the back with the tough outfit. Looks like an mg something else.
So tell us about a risk so it's in its a bright red and it's obviously been converted, its time just Well, according to the 100,000 kilometers and it's all original engineering, certificate is included. It's a coupe that's converted
into a Torah as they say, but the own, but the current owner must sell this clearly times are tough in South Australia.
So he's got to get rid of it and it has an upgraded CD player.
I'm not sure what that means. I didn't think I'd see this.
So what he available for sure, the Japanese were always ahead of their time CD player is not where the tape player.
Was that blanked off where the take player isn't Fun?
CD player down underneath. Oh God and it's got extractors,
which obviously gives it additional powered.
And I guess the most iconic feature about this vehicle.
Either jelly beans, mag wheels test.
As as a owner describes it. But yeah, it's in pretty good
makeup. I like I really like this time.
Yeah. Given given its age.
It's nearly 40 years old. 40, 50. 50, 50, 50 years old, 50
years old. Yeah, nearly 50 years old, it's
pretty good big in the way, it's sort of being kept up and yeah, for under 10 grand, I think it's not bad for some things actually that unique, very single less than having your name.
On your number plates is having your name in your head, rest on your car. I've always had a soft spot for
today 22s and like a good ones worth like what 60 was so nice, he's probably the 25 Grand onwards now.
But this one in particular, Make the amount of scuttle shake this car would have because it would have no rigidity between between one-half the car, because it's just going to just bend in half.
So are all going to be an interesting drive, that's for sure. I reckon you can't check the
front. Listen, Jack in the back, at the
same time to keep it level. Well baby.
All right, you just got to keep the doors closed.
If you jack it up with a doors, close your eyes.
If you open the door and we'll just fold up like a sandwich.
Well, I'll go next because I should put before you How much is all that goodness worries? Just over nine grand.
It's 9250 good value. He's just trying to recoup the
custom the Rhonda blades. No, I'll go next for this
obvious reason. I'll share my screen.
Keeping in the same familiar, family.
Mister mister is, is more 2000, Toyota Celica!
So this one's 5750, it's a slick, a sex manual.
Now, I don't know what's going on with these photos because Spider doesn't have a spoiler but in this photo it does, I don't know what that would. That means two for one deal
before, wondering probably two cars, but it's got Toyotas legendary 2z. How do you even do the plugs on
that little talk? Yeah.
So the truth So, this one's got 145,000
Kay's, it's manual. Obviously, with the to zed zed,
good motor 6-speed manual Regio till next year, I met I'm service records for him. Purchase new to date, get the
car. Well, maintained.
I use it for work about once a week to drive out to Bathurst and over and region. So he drives it.
I don't know where, I don't know like a tumor is but Danny is tender. Yeah, the blue Mouse on the
weight about this to go through it.
Especially in Victoria. Sounds a bit of paint on the
left hand side of the rear bumper, but that is my car for this week 5750, 2000. Toyota Celica awesome.
Little car. So it comes with a sudden.
This is going to be the ugliest Selita and we'll use.
That's going to be the ugly one. Still pretty good with that one
item. It's ugly, slide that weren't
even trying. It was like a, we're gonna join
desert design. Sign and you salika and it was a
Friday. I have a and Elevate was just
taking the get on the peas and just quick as he could through a few fucking law. And so you go, there's your new
sleeker, don't call me till Monday.
I always thought that that's like a look like a big banana.
It was like very much alike. A it's like are going around
like crazy and isn't too much sun on of hats in Queensland.
Yes, I guess it is it to have a Ferrari the Ferrari in Australia so it is up to you to show us what they can.
Possibly beat my Fantastics illegal.
What are we going to be pretty much anything?
I got is that sheriff again? That has been painted in.
So it's the brambles orange /, red with the black outs.
It is glorious. Holy crabs, the epitome of
automotive. Enjoyment.
Look at the shaker. There is the almighty. 351
Windsor, sorry 351 Cleveland with the shaker.
Power steering. No aircon, because performance
cars don't have any pain. This is a luxury car to fail and
suppose David. This is luxury / performance.
Go back to the interior shot. Sure.
You can tell how good grain steering wheel.
That's because as Betty, sake conveniently said it is left out of bong on the floor, that's a bomb on the passenger seat.
It is yet to come. New starter motor like makes car
to has the start of murder. It just taking the not turning
over. We don't have to worry about
that. Have I told by mechanic is
Sparky, she also needs some body work, done, AJ, those kind of place. Unfortunately, I don't have the
time, nor the money to work on it right now.
Looking for offers around 10 grand.
Come on. So you have the time or the
money that you replace the starter motor the photo you can talk, we can drive around on the starter motor.
It's got a it's an interesting Carlos.
For those of you who are listening at home it's got Miss most Wheels. Always trying ourselves out of
to 80s that. I think you're showing us now.
This is why Tyler. Go to This is quite tight know.
I once that's all right, that's it. 280.
That's all right. That'll go, that'll sell that
one. Yeah, well if I can get a leaf
toss in the mrs. It probably will.
What are we going to go with and why?
Who's going to start us off tonight on the said, hey h clearly well, I'll go, I think. Yeah, it's quite quite quite a
few different cars. But I do like RX8.
Purely because it was one of those underrated cars.
I don't had a, the RX-7 have a cult following an RX-8 for sort of a bit of a bummer, but I still like them.
I still think they're unique and maybe the last rotary.
We will see in a car. Give it the state of mastered.
The moment nearly having to borrow 2.3 billion US Dollars,
just to get through the pandemic.
So yeah, I think the RX8 will be the pick for me.
So we're going maybe if they go into making go karts or something, honey, will you choose?
There's some good, some good reading on them.
Apparently, if it received the right attention and funding in its infancy, it could well BeIN what combustion engines are today. Do you know what?
It's it doesn't have the amount of power or like efficiency.
I think they're more efficient, are they the very smooth?
Yeah, that's me Parts. The very smooth, too much oil
case. You've got to put oil in there
essentially, as to start kind of system all day, like really.
So but yeah, that that makes it even even more interesting because quite a cool car. Daddy.
What are you? Choosing my right thumb without
Choosing My Own. It would be a toss-up between
the the salika that the 2002 Lika and RX-8.
I would probably go RX-8 because their rear wheel drive and this leak is from driver. So at least I can get in it and
throw it around corners, but I would like to drag race those two and I'll buy the winner, things like the straight line, they cornered straight line straight line.
Believe the first car is faster in a straight line.
Yeah. Even if I have to pick one or
all probably garlic site. Okay.
So stupidly are excite one for the Fairlane.
Scotty do RX-8, why? So I win, I'll shape stations,
I'll get the feeling for the for the pure reasons.
Got a 351 and it's you know and it looks hilarious a shaker.
This is car for someone's going to forward these background.
This is true. This is true.
However, I do like it because I like shitty old luxurious barges and I think that would be hilarious aren't so for that for that fact. I choose that but Scotty you win
well done. That would look.
That was a, that was a definitely a clean, clean RX-8.
Well done. We are in a sense of clean
competition. It's Eddie clean because there's
no a journal, the other guy all over the tire road always goes over budget have. You noticed that ET tense is
like a Corona pricing Corona pricing.
Boys, give you show a plug before we head off.
What built a bug cast? Wait in the car and it click
subscribe. I don't know.
How do you find it? I'm changing my search name
and you shall find it. Facebook, I like to argue with
people so, It was pretty much.
So it was, why is why is Matt to let me?
Why is my students? Why is that Matt guy?
So we're looking And basically has not question was as everyone ordered to Teslas yet. That was from Darren.
And one day, one day we might orators I wonder, but it's your question Anthony. Screw you.
And that is the reason he looks so dodgy is because he hangs around with you too much. Ha, ha, ha, styling cues,
speaking of Tesla's life, have you seen them put Mauro?
Cart and they play it on the screen within the car and the steering wheel and the pedals are the controls the smell.
Yes. And you can play Mario Kart in
the Tesla. So get on by a test, adjust for
that. Like, that's amazing.
