water injection
Water injection means spraying a tiny amount of water into the engine’s air intake. It helps keep the engine cooler so it can run harder without overheating.
Water injection is a method where water or a water‑ethanol mix is injected into the engine’s intake to cool combustion temperatures, allowing higher boost levels and reducing detonation.
