1451: Jason Peters is the Founder and Owner of Mid-Century Motors
Jason Peters is the Founder and Owner of Mid-Century Motors and Restoration where he does paint correction and protection, complete interior and exterior detailing, interiors and upholstery work, vinyl tops and routine maintenance. He purchased his first collectible car at age 22, a 1969 Ford Galaxie 500. After a brief career in HR, Jason discovered McPherson College and was accepted to their restoration school. While learning his trade he got involved in their on-campus car club, C.A.R.S. While in school he acquired his dream car, a 1958 Edsel and after graduating he went to work at SMS Auto Fabrics and after two years he opened his own company with an emphasis on cars from the 40s through the 70s.
1450: James Roe is a 21-year-old, F3 Americas racer from Ireland
James Roe is a 21-year-old, F3 Americas racer from Ireland. He started racing as a child and amassed podium finishes and record-breaking results. In the Ginetta class, he earned four victories and pole positions and broke the junior lap record at Ireland's famed Mondello Park. He's raced in the Irish Supercar RT2000, Formula Ford 1600, and today in the F3 Americas. While racing Formula Ford, James set a yet-unbroken lap record previously held by Formula One racer David Coulthard. James was nominated for the 'Irish Young Racing Driver of the Year' award and he has been named the Motorsport Ireland/Dunlop, Irish Sports Council Young Racing Driver of the Month. He was also selected for the inaugural 'Irish Motor Racing Academy, Team Ireland'.
1449: Catherine Sutton left her job at DreamWorks, a place she
Catherine Sutton left her job at DreamWorks, a place she had been since it was a startup. She and her ex-husband started a crazy little business called Johnson Motors, where motorcycles, art, books, magazines, and clothing all collided together in a great little store tucked down an alley in Pasadena, California. She developed a passion for cars and their mechanical and practical perspective and has participated in vintage car rallies since 2012 in California and Arizona. When she's not driving, she spends time as a CASA volunteer for foster youth and she is on the board of Checkered Flag 200, a premier membership group for the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles.
1448: Jan Matthias has been actively involved in the design
Jan Matthias has been actively involved in the design profession for over 35 years, starting out in the position as chief designer for Porsche Design in Austria where he worked with Butzi Porsche, responsible for product design and project acquisition in Europe and the United States. In 1979 he started his own design business and worked in a wide variety of industries and countries. In the late 90s, Jan worked at Designworks/USA – BMW in Los Angeles on two specific aircraft interior design projects while supporting their international marketing efforts. He also worked with The Boeing Company in Seattle. He has earned awards from Art Center College of Design, the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the City of Beverly Hills, the Florida Design Council, Stuttgart Design Center and he is a recent recipient of the prestigious 'Red Dot' design award in Germany.

Samuel Spirer is the owner and operator of Wicked Auto Protection located in Orange County, California. He started his business after moving to California from Boston in 2013. At Wicked Auto Protection, they provide car care services including cleaning, polishing, waxing, sealants, and ceramic coatings. Samuel's approach is custom paint protection, restyling, and detailing specializing in Feynlab Ceramic coatings, a self-healing ceramic protection. He also applies clear film, window tinting, vinyl wraps, does wheel repair, powder coating, and more. Classics and modern cars, he restores old, tired paint, eliminates swirl marks and surface defects, applies a long-lasting protective coating, and or film to protect and preserve the value of your new, or used vehicle.
1446: Toni Avery got in on the ground floor at the Porsche
Toni Avery got in on the ground floor at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angeles as the only full-time female driving coach where she not only obtained world-class training in driving and right-seat coaching but also became a Porsche Certified Driving Instructor able to handle any vehicle in their lineup. After two-and-a-half years at Porsche, Toni now wears many hats in the industry including Director of Communications at HG Trackside in addition to other automotive companies assisting in marketing and social media and is also an automotive consultant for various companies. She continues to coach on a part-time basis at the Porsche Experience Center, and also sits right seat with teen drivers for BRAKES, a teen defensive driving program that travels the country aimed at helping teens become better, safer drivers. BRAKES is founded by past two-time Cars Yeah guest Doug Herbert. Toni also holds an SCCA full competition race license. Her website and social media channels are titled GirlsDriveFastToo.com where she focuses on sharing her passion for automobiles and photography with others.
1445: Tony Callas is the owner and CEO of Callas Rennsport
Tony Callas is the owner and CEO of Callas Rennsport in Torrance, California. He is also the Technical Director for The Porsche Club of America. Callas Rennsport, in addition to service work, restores classic collector cars including vintage Porsche 911s, 914s, and 356s, and is one of two premier shops in the country that service Porsche 959s. Tony grew up in his father's shop, Rennsport Porsche Works in Texas and was servicing Porsches at 10 years old, rebuilt his first engine at 16, and at 18 went to the Porsche Factory School and started working in racing. He's worked for Roock Racing, Seikel Motorsport, Champion Racing, Rohr Motorsport, Reiser-Callas Rennsport, Peterson White-Lightning, and earned wins at the 24 Hours of Daytona and Le Mans, where Tony was Mechanic of the Year for Porsche.

Dana Rapoport works with TechForce Foundation indulging in her passion for automobiles while working on important issues including getting the next generation, and more women, into the automotive industry. Techforce is aligned with LeMay, America's Automotive Trust and the RPM Foundation to advance education and opportunities in automotive careers. Dana is also an active member of the Board of the CCCA Arizona, past committee member for the Arizona Concours, past Select Chair of the inaugural Las Vegas Concours along with many other car-related activities. She's participated in many automotive rallies and often speaks at car events.
1443: Lara is a professional precision driver
Lara is a professional precision driver who works in movies doubling for actresses including Julia Roberts, Jennifer Connelly, Mary Louise Parker, and others. On her Instagram account, under @thatporschegirl, Lara shares her passion for Porsche, a marque she has loved since she was 12 years old. She also works in fashion as a fit model in the Los Angeles area. She drives a 1982 Porsche 930 Turbo, a 1969 Porsche 911T and a 2016 Porsche Macan S that is her daily driver. Lara is part of a group of women who are enthusiasts for the brand and who work to bring together more women who are automotive enthusiasts to be involved with related drives, events, and much more.
1442: Preeth Kumar shares his passion for automobiles
Preeth Kumar shares his passion for automobiles by writing and marketing a digital magazine titled Its Preeth Kumar on Instagram. He grew up in New Jersey in a family where car culture was central to their lives. He started autocrossing in his E46 M3 and his need for speed grew. He sold Porsches at Manhatten Motorcars in New York City and Rusnak Porsche in Westlake after moving out west to Pasadena, California where he embraces the SoCal car culture with open arms. He and past Cars Yeah guest Vinita Khilnani have fun with a humor site on Instagram titled The Indian Aunties. He's a Contributing Writer for L.A. Dreams Magazine and active in a multitude of automotive track events and car clubs.

Lasse Bauer is a Denmark-based artist renowned for his custom automotive work created for car brands, automotive events, and discerning private collectors. He is a former advertising art director with over 30 years of experience and a portfolio of clients including Coca-Cola, Kellogg's, McDonald's, Marlboro, and P&G. Throughout his career he has worked with 9-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen, the Concours of Elegance London, Audi Sport, Porsche Club Los Angeles, and many automotive brands, collectors, and motoring enthusiasts. Today he devotes much of his time artistically exploring his all-consuming passion for cars.
1440: Christina Brinkerhoff is producing a documentary
Christina Brinkerhoff is producing a documentary about her mother, past Cars Yeah guest Renee Brinkerhoff – as she conquers 7 continents driving in a 1956 Porsche 356. They are fresh off the 36-day Peking to Paris endurance rally that took place this past summer. The next challenge will be in Kenya in the East African Safari Classic Rally, a 9-day, 5,000 km run through Kenya and Tanzania. Prior to Africa Renee ran the La Carrera Panamericana in Mexico, The Targa Tasmania in Australia, and The Caminos del Inca in South America. They will challenge the Antarctica Ice Challenge in 2121. Christina is a graduate of the USC Film School and a former talent agent. Through their Valkyrie Gives Foundation, she and her mom raise awareness of and funding for efforts against the global problem of child trafficking.

Doug Tabbutt is the Founder of Switchcars, a Cleveland-based sports car dealership and specialty Porsche consulting and brokerage service. He sources automobiles from private collectors, customers, and dealers, never from wholesale auctions. His focus is a verifiable history and condition report so that you can purchase with confidence. Doug is also an authorized dealer for Trailex aluminum sports car trailers. Along with his co-driver Arne Toman, Doug recently broke the New York to Los Angeles Cannonball Run record. Regular listeners will remember past record holder Ed Bolian, a guest here on Cars Yeah.

Rod Newlove is the President of Automotive Parts Distributors/APD with 4 locations in western Canada. It is a company that's been in business since 1981. The primary focus of APD today is much more than the distribution of quality/brand name auto parts to the company's independent automotive shop customer base. APD is committed to ongoing investments in technology and processes to make them a leader in the industry related to online ordering, inventory management, warehouse systems and the GPS tracking of deliveries. Rod's past includes racing rear engine dragsters, building a Manta Kit Car, restoring a '67 Camaro and 25+ Harleys over the past 30 years. In 2002 he received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for volunteer work mentoring young people.

Rony Karam is the FIVA Ambassador for the Middle East and the FIVA Representative to UNESCO. He has been a member of the FIVA Culture Commission for more than 12 years. Founded in 1966 FIVA is the worldwide federative association of historic automobile clubs, be they for veteran, vintage, pre-war or post-war classic automobiles, including motorcycles and trucks that are at least 30 years old. FIVA's goals are to protect and promote world motoring heritage. Rony is a car collector and has judged in many Concours events including Dubai, Kuwait International Concours d'Elegance, Qatar International Concours, and Chantilly France Concours Arts et Elegance. He has contributed to the elaboration of the TURIN CHARTER in the FIVA Culture Commission as well and has organized classic vehicle events.
1436: Patrick Rollet is the Past President of FIVA
Patrick Rollet is the Past President of FIVA. Founded in 1966 FIVA is the worldwide federative association of historic automobile clubs, be they for veteran, vintage, pre-war or post-war classic automobiles, including motorcycles and trucks that are at least 30 years old. Fiva's goals are to protect and promote world motoring heritage. Patrick will be a distinguished judge at this year's UAE Concours in Dubai. His career spans decades and includes consulting and marketing. He has been involved in the automotive world since working at the Paris Motor Show in 1965 on the Aston-Martin stand and he is a member of numerous automotive clubs and organizations. Patrick has been involved with FIVA since 2005 and has authored several books and many articles in HV press and Club magazines. In 2019 he was honored by the Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts and des Letters in France.
1435: Mohammed Luqman, a.k.a. Vintage Khan, is the curator
Mohammed Luqman, a.k.a. Vintage Khan, is the curator of the UAE Concours d'Elegance. He is a Hyderabad-born (Hyderabad is the capital of southern India's Telangana state) UAE-based Retromobilist and Channel Head and Lead Anchor of Hyderabad's first 24/7 English News channel, HY TV. He has produced numerous TV programs including the interview show Straight-Talk and the 60 Minutes With series. He is the Founder and CEO of ML Consulting, a marketing firm. As a motoring enthusiast, Mohammed has spent over three decades tracking, chronicling, and researching veteran, Edwardian, vintage, and classic cars. He has authored books including Automobiles of the Nizams, Automobiles of Sheikh Zayed, Sheikh Zayed's Rolls-Royce, Toll-Royce in Arabia, and The Noble Napier 823. A businessman by profession and a Retromoblist by passion, Mohammed has experienced an eventful journey from a spectator to a curator.

Vinita Khilnani is a regular host of Morning Octane, a premiere LA Cars and Coffee quarterly event. She currently holds the title as 2018 Miss India North America and uses her platform to encourage other diverse individuals to pursue their dreams. Born and raised in South Pasadena, California, from a young age, Vinita loved family parties, because it provided her the opportunity to sing and host her own version of Jeopardy. After completing her education, where she earned an M.S. in Biology and Masters in Public Health, she decided to dedicate her life to the arts. After signing a record deal and touring as a pop-singer, Vinita fell in love with Improvisational Comedy while studying at the Groundlings, earning the Groundlings Diversity Scholarship. She has written and performed on two all-female sketch teams, Stiletto Sketch and Butter and she is currently in production of a re-imagined version of The Jungle Book.

Mario Peserico is the CEO and Managing Director of Eberhard & Co. Italia, a company he has been with since 1993. Eberhard & Co. is the official timer and partner of the Gran Premio Nuvolari, an event that takes place each September in Italy. The event is designed as a tribute to Tazio Nuvolari by the organizers of the Mille Miglia and is an international rally reserved for historic motorcars. Eberhard & Co has a thirty-year relationship with Tazio Nuvolari, one of the greatest racers of all time, and with the Nuvolari Grand Prix. Eberhard & Co is a Swiss watchmaking house, founded in 1887, with over 130 years of history representing excellence and innovation. Mario is also the President of Assorologi, the Italian association representing watch manufacturers and importers and watch-making suppliers.
1432: Jamie Bopp is the Founder of Dundon Motorsports
Jamie Bopp is the Founder of Dundon Motorsports in Gig Harbor, Washington. The company was born from three automotive enthusiasts' passion to provide the very best in service, parts, and performance. He and his team work on Porsche automobiles providing general maintenance, engine building, transmissions, suspension tuning, and dyno services. His past includes working in process engineering and engineering management in the semiconductor industry and he started his own semiconductor company in 2003. His car ownership spans from Toyotas, Hondas, BMWs and of course Porsche including a 2019 GT3RS.
1431: Mariana Small is the Co-Founder and COO of Accelerating
Mariana Small is the Co-Founder and COO of Accelerating Change and the President of the Porsche Club of America, Los Angeles region. Accelerating Change creates opportunities for women to develop skills in the automotive world, from track days to educational events and networking. In the past, she was Vice President of Marketing Operations and Branding at Confie [pronounced con-fee], where she set the strategic direction of marketing and branding initiatives. Mariana earned her B.A. in International Relations and Diplomacy from Schiller International University in Heidelberg, Germany and her M.B.A. in Foreign Commerce and Exchange from Getulio Vargas Foundation in Brazil. She holds Certifications in Strategic IQ and Strategic Marketing Management from Harvard Business School and is a certified Private International Arbitrator. She speaks five languages, has lived in 8 countries (all continents except Antarctica) and has traveled to 61 countries. Fun fact: Mariana has also seen all 7 wonders of the world!
1430: Grant Delgatty is the Associate Professor and Chair of
Grant Delgatty is the Associate Professor and Chair of Product Design at Iovine and Young Academy at the University of Southern California. A significant portion of Grant's career has been in athletic footwear, where he has led design teams for a number of successful shoe companies. In 2013, Grant founded the company URB-E where he invented a super-compact folding e-vehicle designed as a 'last mile' transportation solution for urban commuters. Over 6,000 URB-Es have been sold and shipped to more than 40 countries worldwide. From 2007 to 2018, he taught at ArtCenter, his alma mater. Grant holds several utility and design patents has won many awards for his designs, has been published extensively, and was included on the list of Southern California entrepreneurs to watch for 2015.
1429: Tyler Schilling is the Founder of Sicktoiz
Tyler Schilling is the Founder of Sicktoiz, a company that designs and builds items that he would like to have but nobody was making. Sicktoiz offers unique hand made designers that are carefully designed and finely crafted from automotive parts to display objects and the most amazing door hardware you'll ever see. At a young age, Tyler got a job with a Can-Am series Crew Chief and historic racecar restorer. He worked on cars including Jackie Stewart's T260 Lola, Peter Revson's M8F McLaren and he also worked as a mechanic on Bobby Brown's Lola 332. His fascination with creating things lead him to a career in robotics and the ocean. In 1985 he started Schilling Robotics along with Wes Gerriets. For 34 years they build a global franchise including a 98% market share in underwater robot arms. The company was acquired in 2012.
1428: Steve Huff owns Steve Huff Motorsports
Steve Huff owns Steve Huff Motorsports in SeaTac, Washington. He is a 30 plus year racing veteran with over 20 years as a professional racer under his belt. Steve's earned 15 national and world records in speed and he is a self-taught builder and racer who built custom bikes and cars that have won awards and set speed records. Today, he continues his quest for speed with 'Current Technology' his electric dragster and the brainchild of e-Spec Racecars, a division of his Huff Motorsports. Mixed with all of this, Steve has also been working on the concept for an education-based TV show titled Speed Geeks – The Science of Speed.
