453: Bob Ingram is a well known collector of vintage and special Porsche cars along wtih Road Scholars
Bob Ingram is a General Partner at Hatteras Venture Partners, a venture capital firm that invests in early stage life science companies. Prior to joining Hatteras he was CEO at Glaxo-Wellcome. His passion for automobiles has spanned his life and his success in business lead him to collecting car, more specifically Porsches. The Ingram collection is focused on preserving automotive history. He often drives, shows, and shares his cars and many are featured in the book Porsche Unexpected from Coachbuilt Press. It’s a wonderful collection of photos by Michael Furman in collaboration with Randy Leffingwell and Cameron Ingram. Cam is Bob’s son, a past Cars Yeah guest, who runs Road Scholars where they acquire, restore and sell vintage Porsches.

Paul Cain began his career at TRW Space and Defense as an industrial engineer before transitioning to TRW Automotive, working in program management in the early launch of automotive airbag crash sensors and airbag inflators. He was TRW's Director of Operations for TRW Steering and Suspension in Sydney, Australia before moving to BEI Duncan Electronics in 1999 as Director of Sales, Marketing and Program Management. He was also General Manager of Piher Sensors and Controls, North America. Paul is a committed volunteer during the Monterey car week. He serves as both the BMW CCA chief Concours judge for Legends of the Autobahn and as Co-Chairman for the Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance Class Hosts. Paul has said many times: ‘Came to see the cars, returned to enjoy the friendships.’

Chad McQueen is a race car driver, actor, film producer, and consummate automotive enthusiast. He has raced in many forms of motorsports including Motocross, the Baja 1000, SCCA, Vintage events, and others. He’s a big fan of early Porsches and still owns and drives his father’s 1958 Speedster in the hills around Los Angeles. It was the first new car his father purchased. Most recently Chad was a producer on a feature documentary titled Steve McQueen, The Man & Le Mans. It’s the story of a life changing passion for racing and his father’s involvement in the making of the iconic 1970 movie Le Mans. This film interweaves stunning new footage and private recordings with original interviews telling a behind-the-scenes story about risking everything to pursue a dream.

Norman Mayersohn spent 11 years at The New York Times, where he served as the deputy editor of the paper’s Automobiles section. At The Times, he was responsible for assigning and editing articles that covered a broad array of topics, including new model reviews, technology, environmental issues, travel, and motorsports. Norman also led the expansion of Autos coverage to online platforms, including a blog, email newsletter, social media outreach and real-time coverage of key events. Norman’s first journalism job was at Car Craft magazine, a Petersen Publishing title in Los Angeles where his office was just down the hall from Hot Rod magazine.

Josh Lange studied Mechanical Engineering in college before transferring to Savannah College of Art and Design. There he had an opportunity to design and build the EXO Spider, which debuted at the Amelia Island Concours in 1999. Since then he’s worked on numerous automotive design and build projects including the Pangea one-off, a SEMA show car in 2003. Since then the Thomassima IIII project with Tom Meade, and a re-body of the Pangea have been on his plate. His LCIII Spider was built to showcase the evolution of his design after four years of working with the master Tom Meade of Modena, Italy, who was mentored by the maestro Medardo Fantuzzi.
