Our assumption is that you know very little to nothing about the sport but are interested in learning to drive better and eventually maybe even race in a local event of interest. GHiT 0562: Racing Subarus the Best way with Dewey Dewitt Dewey Dewitt, fresh off his 2023 Time Attack Championship with GridLife, joins us to go into the details for properly racing and preparing Subaru's for racing and track use. We focus on addressing basic upgrades to protect the car during high performance driving. Then look at potential performance upgrades and the potential implications, both positives and potential negatives. If you have ever heard of "Subaru" issues, there are simple, readily available solutions to give you on track reliability, many of which are low cost (oil changes and levels etc.). As everyone who races knows, as you increase the performance of any engine and drive train, you are starting to stress the drive train, as well of the rest of the systems in a car and will eventually find the next "weak spot" that is stressed and outside the car's original design/performance window. This is not unique to Subarus and is present at all forms of production-based race cars, and all cars in general.
