In this episode it’s just the two of us. We both review our first races of the 2023 season. The 24 hours of Dubai, the 24 hours of Daytona and the 12 hours of Bathurst. We’ve also spend some time trying to explain the word “Balance of Performance” and how it affects us . Besides the serious stuff we talked about our podcast popularity and next guests on the show, the life in USA and Dries being spiritual from time to time.. Vincent Vosse: His racing career, being a team owner, Rast vs Vanthoor and a mannequin with a missing finger.
We’ve been looking forward to having Vincent Vosse on our show for a longtime. His stories about life are mythical. We talked about his career as a racing driver and on becoming one of the most successful team owners of our current generation. He tell us his perspective about the Rast vs. Vanthoor rivalry in 2014 and at the end we tried to get a couple of the famous stories on our show. He was a bit shy for the public but we got some!Naked drivers? Catching a bird while driving a Polaris? And a mannequin in Ingolstadt with a missing finger.. Listeners Q&A: Peeing in a race car, our most disliked driver, our biggest rivalry and much more.
We've asked our followers on social media to give us some spicy question. Bad idea..We did end up with an awesome episode and laughed a lot but we might end up with a couple of less friends in the paddock. Did we ever pee in a race car? Who don't we like in the paddock? What was our biggest rivalry so far? Fastest teammate? And much more..In the end, it was worth it. P.S.: To our colleagues who we mentioned, don't take it personally. It's showbiz. Robin Frijns: The missed F1 chance, the famous Red Bull article and a wishbone in someone his ass.
Our third guest on the show, nobody less than Robin Frijns. We both know Robin since many years and had a lot of throwbacks and memories about his karting days with Laurens and later driving together with Laurens and Dries at WRT.We talked about his missed F1 chance after dominating the single seater series, his famous "Red Bull treats you as dogs" article and much more. When we arrived to the subject that Indycar is a no-go because someone once got a wishbone in his ass, it was time to stop the show. Enjoy.
Raf Vanthoor: His career, comparing Laurens & Dries and breaking his foot while kicking a helmet.
Our first guest on our show. Our very own father. We talk about his short career in motorsport. Why he did chose a Porsche instead of continuing and how he broke his foot while kicking his helmet.. Obviously he had to compare the two brothers which resulted in some surprising outcomes and arguments.
